Ff-3. WHAT ARE THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH?

What does the Bible mean when it says the PILLARS of the earth? Do those verses mean that God has created the earth FLAT like a round disc that he set on PILLARS like a house is set on a FOUNDATION? What does the Bible mean when it talks about the FOUNDATIONS of the earth? Do all those verses prove that the earth is FLAT?

Now, some of my readers may not have ever heard of Christians who sincerely believe that the earth is FLAT and that God set this flat earth on PILLARS. So here is a LINK to show you just one of many pictures of a “model” of what this flat earth looks like, according to those who hold to this belief that the earth is flat. If you click on the link it will take you to a Facebook account that is used to either promote the teaching of the flat earth or to debunk the teaching of the flat earth. I have no idea which it is. I only chose this link because it had a picture of what many “flat earthers” envision that their flat earth could look like. As you can see in their picture or model of the flat earth it is a round disc with a DOME over it sitting on four PILLARS. Some other drawings that I have seen have several pillars.

The main thing that I want my readers to understand is that “flat earthers” INTERPRET the verses in the Bible referring to the earth and the PILLARS of the earth as being LITERAL supporting STRUCTURES holding up the earth which CONTRADICTS what the Bible ITSELF teaches us. And we know that the Bible does NOT contradict itself.

Have you never read Job 26:7 where God HANGS the earth upon NOTHING?

Job 26:7.

“He stretches out the north over the empty place, and HANGS the earth upon NOTHING.”

Yes, I know that the Bible also says that the PILLARS of the earth are the Lords and He SETS the world UPON THEM. And in the minds of some Christians, the picture of the FLAT earth is being held up by PILLARS. I will quote that verse of Scripture OUT of its CONTEXT first because that is the way that SOME “flat earthers” quote this verse as well as most of the other verses they use to try and prove that the earth is flat. Now you have to wonder WHY they do NOT quote the CONTEXT of 1 Samuel 2:8. To me, the reason is quite obvious. For you see, the very CONTEXT teaches us that RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE are the PILLARS of the earth and God will SET the RULING of the earth upon the righteous saints. Again, let us read this famous “flat earthers” so-called proof verse in 1 Samuel 2:8 out of its context first and then we will place it back into its context so you can see the TRUE meaning of this verse. The lower case “b” after the Scripture reference means that only the last part of the verse is quoted. And the three dots before the verse also mean that the first part of the verse is not being quoted. Have you ever wondered WHY “flat earthers” only quote the last half of this verse OUT of its CONTEXT? These are some of the things that you need to watch for when reading Christian books and Bible studies. So always be sure to read the CONTEXT before you believe what preachers are teaching you.

1 Samuel 2:8b.

“...for the PILLARS of the earth are the LORD'S, and he has SET the world UPON them.”

Now, when reading this verse OUT of its CONTEXT then I can see how a person could become convinced that this verse is describing the earth as SITTING on PILLARS. Especially when they use Job 37:18 right after this verse while showing you one of their MODELS of a flat earth with a GLASS DOME over the disc-shaped earth set on PILLARS like the picture in the LINK that I gave you to look at.

Please read Job 37:18.

“Have you with him (Or were you, Job with God to help Almighty God) spread out the SKY, which is strong, and AS a molten looking GLASS?”

And then they say something like “Sounds like the SKY is a clear DOME to me. Look at the model right before your eyes that has a GLASS DOME over the earth and the earth is SITTING on PILLARS just like the Bible says in 1 Samuel 2:8 which you just read.”

I placed what “flat earthers”, say in their argument for the flat earth in another font style so you will not confuse MY teaching with what THEY teach. Now again, I will admit when I first heard a “flat earther” teaching and they used these two verses TOGETHER like I just showed you. I had to stop the video teaching and look these verses up for myself because they made them so CONVINCING. So now, I want to show you how God showed me what the TRUE meaning of these verses in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. Please read 1 Samuel 2:8b left in its CONTEXT first and then we will cover Job 37:18 in a moment.

1 Samuel 2:7-10.

“The LORD makes poor and makes rich: he brings low, and lifts up.

8. He raises up the POOR out of the dust, and LIFTS UP the BEGGAR from the dunghill, (WHY? Why will God lift up the poor and the beggars like Lazarus in the parable Jesus teaches us) TO SET THEM among princes, and to make THEM INHERIT the THRONE of glory: FOR (Or BECAUSE) the PILLARS of the earth are the LORD'S, and he has set the WORLD upon THEM. (And NOT the EARTH upon them but rather the GOVERNMENT of the WORLD upon them)

9. He will keep the feet of his SAINTS, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

10. The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall JUDGE the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, (Speaking of Almighty God giving all power and authority and judgment to his Son Jesus who will reign as the King of kings and the Lord of Lords in the world to come for Yahweh. The saints will help Jesus JUDGE the fallen angels. God will judge the wicked BY the man Jesus Christ. God has COMMITTED ALL judgment to the Son of man, Jesus) AND exalt the horn of his anointed.”

Clearly, the CONTEXT of 1 Samuel 2:8b is speaking of the SAINTS and being the PILLARS of Yahweh who will INHERIT the THRONE of God along with our King and Savior Jesus the Christ, the ANOINTED of Yahweh and we will RULE and REIGN with Jesus for 1000 years over the earth. The GOVERNMENT will be SET upon the SHOULDERS of Jesus. Now, let us compare this understanding or this interpretation of the PILLARS being the SAINTS with what Jesus said in Revelation 3:11-13.

Revelation 3:11-13.

“Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you have, that no man take your CROWN.

12. Him that OVERCOME will I make a PILLAR in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

13. He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.”

So are you HEARING what the Holy Spirit is saying about the SAINTS who overcome being made PILLARS in the temple of God? Or are you still clinging to the teaching of the FLAT earth that “flat earthers” claim that the Bible teaches sets on LITERAL structural pillars that are holding up the flat earth covered by a DOME? let us read a few more verses about the PILLARS being the righteous saints as opposed to being actual literal structural pillars that are supposedly holding up the earth as a LITERAL FOUNDATION of the earth. I mean, their INCORRECT interpretation about the PILLARS of the earth being LITERAL structural pillars holding up the flat earth should raise a RED FLAG to those of you who are TRULY seeking the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. Let us look at some more verses that speak of PILLARS that could be incorrectly interpreted to mean literal structural pillars holding up the flat earth to learn their TRUE meaning as well.

Job 9:6.

“Which shakes the earth out of her place, and the PILLARS thereof TREMBLE.”

After listening to some video teaching about the earth being flat I can see how Christians who ALREADY believe that the flat earth sits on literal structural pillars as the earth's literal structural foundation can become convinced that the pillars holding up the earth could tremble or shake. For you see, the Bible does prophesy of a GREAT earthquake that will SHACK the earth at the coming of Jesus to execute the WRATH of Almighty God. But after I studied these verses of Scripture for myself to see if the “flat earthers” are teaching the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God, I easily saw that the PILLARS of the earth are the SAINTS in ALL the verses used to teach that the flat earth is setting on LITERAL PILLARS as its STRUCTURAL FOUNDATION. Please allow me to show you what the Holy Spirit has shown to me as to the TRUE meaning of the PILLARS of the earth.

Now, the meaning of the Hebrew word translated as TREMBLE can mean to shake and quiver like an object would tremble and shake in an earthquake. But this Hebrew word also means to tremble in FEAR. So then, can literal structural non-living PILLARS tremble in FEAR? This verse alone and by itself can be interpreted either way so we need to COMPARE Scripture with Scripture to learn its TRUE meaning in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. Job 9:6 also says that the earth will SHAKE and MOVE OUT of her PLACE. So let us now read Isaiah 13:9-14 which also teaches us about the earth being moved out of her place in the WRATH of God.

Isaiah 13:9-14.

“Behold, the day of the LORD comes, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

10. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, (Speaking of the second coming of Jesus) and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

11. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

12. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

13. Therefore I will SHAKE the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

14. And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man takes up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.”

So, clearly, the PEOPLE will TREMBLE and FLEE in FEAR at the time they see the wrath of God coming upon the earth. The wicked will hurry or make haste to HIDE themselves in the dens of the earth. Jesus even asked the question of himself saying, “Shall I find FAITH on the earth WHEN I COME?” So even though Jesus warns us to NOT be in FEAR that does not mean that the FAITH of some Christians will not be SHAKEN and tested to the max. So to me, Job 9:6 does NOT prove that the earth sets upon literal structural PILLARS that will shake and wobble in the great earthquake that will occur when Jesus returns. But rather, I am seeing that the PILLARS of the earth are the righteous SAINTS that God has promised to SET as RULERS along with his Son Jesus over the earth. Let us take a look at some more verses of Scripture that speak of pillars to see if my interpretation agrees with the rest of God’s word.

Job 26:11.

“The PILLARS of HEAVEN tremble and are ASTONISHED at his reproof.”

Now, here in the book of Job several chapters later, we see that HEAVEN ALSO has PILLARS that will TREMBLE. But we also see that the pillars will be ASTONISHED. Personally, I do not see literal structural PILLARS being able to be ASTONISHED. But it is easy to see that the SAINTS who will be made PILLARS in the temple of God being astonished at the reproof of God in his wrath. For you see, we will be in the AIR along with Jesus and his angels executing the wrath of God with Jesus. The Bible says that there will be SILENCE in heaven for the space of half an hour when the seventh seal is opened. And when you read the opening of the sixth seal you can see that the WRATH is God is just getting ready to be poured out upon the earth or more precisely on the INHABITANTS on the earth. The SAINTS will be raptured into the AIR, gathered together by the angels, and then taken by the angels to MEET Jesus in the AIR to help Jesus execute the wrath of God upon the inhabitants that will be LEFT BEHIND on the surface of the earth. If you do not understand the event related to the second coming of Jesus then read all the studies under the heading >>>PROPHECY---THE COMING OF JESUS!<<< But for now, let us continue this study to learn the TRUE meaning of the PILLARS of the earth.

Psalm 75:3.

“The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the PILLARS of it. Selah.”

THINK about this for a moment. The word “Selah” means to pause and meditate. God is saying that the EARTH will be DISSOLVED but God will BEAR UP the PILLARS of the earth. Does it make any sense to you that God will save the so-called literal structural pillars that are supposedly holding up the earth but yet DISSOLVE the earth? Let us read this verse in its CONTEXT so you can see that the PILLARS of the earth are the RIGHTEOUS saints who will inherit the new heaven and the new earth after the Millennial reign of Jesus.

Psalm 75:2-10.

“WHEN I shall receive the congregation I will JUDGE uprightly.

3. The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the PILLARS of it. Selah. (Or PAUSE and THINK about this for a moment)

4. I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

5. Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.

6. For PROMOTION comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. (Remember in part two we learned that God dwells in a city up in heaven on a CIRCLE that is in the sides of the NORTH surrounded by the universe. So God is saying that PROMOTION comes from the NORTH where God dwells. In other words, God will PROMOTE the PILLARS of the earth to be KINGS with Jesus, the King of kings over the earth)

7. But God is the judge: he puts down one and SETS UP ANOTHER. (Behold the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and his Christ Revelation 11:15 and Daniel 7:22, 26,27. Also, this verse is speaking about God DETHRONING Lucifer from being the god of this world and setting up ANOTHER, his FIRSTBORN SON, Jesus, as the King and God of the whole earth for 1000 years. Please read the study “WHAT DOES THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD MEAN?”)

8. For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture, and he pours out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them. (In other words, ONLY the worthless REMNANTS of humanity, speaking of the wicked left behind after the rapture of the saints, will soak up and drink the WRATH of God. Dregs in wine are the worthless remnants that are left at the bottom when the wine is poured out. After those left alive of the NATIONS who repent will be at the BOTTOM of the society in the world to come. And they will SERVE the Jews while the SAINTS in the city of God will rule over both groups of mortals down on the surface of the earth)

9. But I will declare forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10. All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.”

In other words, the wicked will be destroyed along with this present earth but God will BEAR UP the PILLARS of the earth which is speaking of EXALTING the RIGHTEOUS to be PROMOTED to rule and reign with Jesus over the earth.

Proverbs 9:1.

“Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars:”

I am not going to go into great depth to explain this verse but rather I will simply say that wisdom represents Jesus and the seven PILLARS represent the seven churches in Asia in the book of Revelation. And the seven churches represent the SAINTS who OVERCOME who will be made PILLARS in the temple of God. So to ME, the PILLARS of the earth are the SAINTS who will RULE and REIGN WITH Jesus during the world to come for 1000 years. Surely, you have heard the figurative language before. When someone says about other people that they are the PILLARS of the community then we understand that they are leaders of the community that holds up, SUPPORT, and lead the community.

Remember that 1 Samuel 2:8b does NOT say that God set the EARTH on pillars but rather it says that God set the WORLD on the pillars. The Hebrew word is speaking of the earth as being moist and HABITABLE and it is translated as WORLD 35 times and 1 time as habitable part. It is never translated as the earth in the King James Bible. So then, the PILLARS of the world are NOT literal structural supports holding up the flat earth as the FOUNDATION of the earth. So what does the Bible mean by the FOUNDATION of the earth?

Jesus is called the CORNERSTONE but that does not mean that Jesus is a literal stone. Jesus is the FOUNDATION of the church but that does NOT mean that Jesus is a literal structural non-living foundation of a literal church building. You have to understand that sometimes the Bible uses FIGURATIVE language. Let us now look at a few Scriptures that speak of the FOUNDATION of the earth to see if they are referring to a LITERAL structural foundation or if they are ALSO speaking of Jesus and the righteous saints as well.

Isaiah 28:16.

“Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation: he that believes shall not make haste.”

Most Christians know and understand that this verse is a hidden prophecy of Jesus being the chief cornerstone because Jesus and his disciples QUOTE this verse and explain its meaning to us in the New Testament. Here is just one of those many quotes found in the New Testament.

1 Peter 2:3-9.

If so be you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. (Or if so be you are a true born-again Christian who has made Jesus your Lord And Savior)

4. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

5. You ALSO, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6. Wherefore also it is contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be CONFOUNDED. (Remember that Isaiah 28:16 says he shall not make HASTE. Also, Romans 9:33 says he that BELIEVES shall NOT be ASHAMED. So these Hebrew disciples of Jesus who knew the Hebrew language understood that the Hebrew word used in Isaiah 28:16 that is translated as they shall not make HASTE also means that believers in Jesus shall NOT be CONFOUNDED and we will NOT be ASHAMED)

7. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

8. And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

9. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:”

God is DIVIDING the LIGHT from the DARKNESS. That is the hidden prophetic meaning of Genesis 1:3-5.

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (This is a hidden prophecy of God bringing LIGHT into a world that became DARK, void, and chaos during the rebellion of Lucifer making war with God. This verse is not dogmatically speaking of LITERAL light. It is a hidden prophecy of Jesus to come the LIGHT of the world. Then Jesus made disciples of men who then became the LIGHT of the world. If you interpret as LITERAL light then you must understand that God often REPEATS himself. In other words, if so be this verse means literal light it does not demand that this light is NOT the sun, moon, and the stars. Let there be light could very well mean that God CLEARED AWAY the darkness so that the sun and the moon and the stars could be seen from the earth)

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (This will start to be fulfilled at the rapture of the church when the children of the DAY are caught up into the AIR to be will Jesus and the UNSAVED are left down on the surface of the earth. Have you ever wondered WHY God created LIGHT in verses 3 and 4 and then God created light AGAIN down in verses 14 through 19? To ME, Genesis 3-5 is hidden PROPHECY comparing LIGHT to righteous people and DARKNESS to people walking in the darkness of sin and disobedience to God’s word)

5. And God called the light Day,(Christians are called children of the LIGHT and children of the DAY in 1 Thessalonians 5:5 “You are all the children of LIGHT, and the children of the DAY: we are NOT of the NIGHT, nor of DARKNESS) and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

The MOON and the STARS RULE the NIGHT and Satan, the god of this present world, is behind all the false religions of the world that worship the MOON and the STARS. And Jesus is called the SUN of righteousness spelled SUN and not Son in Malachi 4:2 in the King James Version. Let us go ahead and read that verse in its context.

Malach 4:1-3.

“For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, says the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

2. But unto you, that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings, and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

3. And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, says the LORD of hosts.”

I was saving this for another study further on in this series of studies to answer the question “IS THE EARTH FLAT?” but it never hurts to hear the same teaching twice. We will get back on track to learn the true sound Biblical meaning of the FOUNDATION of the earth in a few moments. But while I started explaining some of the hidden PROPHECIES in the creation account in the first few verses let us go ahead and cover a few more verses but I will not explain each and every verse in this particular study of this series of studies.

Genesis 1:4-19.

“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. (The WATERS is prophetic terms refers to PEOPLE, according to Revelation 17:15 “And he said unto me, The WATERS which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.” So again, God is prophesying above DIVIDING the RIGHTEOUS saved people from the unsaved people who are called the wicked because they REJECT the one true God's so great a salvation. So who is going to DIVIDE the righteous from the wicked? Will it be men of the earth? Or will it be Almighty God in HEAVEN who will JUDGE the earth BY the Son of man, Jesus?)

7. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. (The waters UNDER the firmament which is called HEAVEN are the SAINTS that will be with Jesus up in the city of God in the AIR or in the SKY. The saints who have died are PRESENT with the Lord in HEAVEN and God will bring the saints WITH him when he comes. And the saints who are alive at the coming of Jesus will be gathered together with the dead in Jesus Christ, the saints that are coming from HEAVEN. And so shall we be forever with our Lord)

8. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. (Now the Bible speaks of THREE levels of HEAVEN. The first level of heaven is the SKY or the atmosphere of the earth. The second level of heaven is the “THICK DARKNESS” which we call SPACE or Outerspace. And the third heaven is where God’s throne is located. So then, ALL three levels of HEAVEN are called the FIRMAMENT.)

9. And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters called He the Seas: and God saw that it was good. (Now while every verse in the Bible does not always have a hidden prophetic meaning the word SEAS sometimes refers to the WICKED people. We know that in the new heaven and the new earth there will be NO MORE SEA which I understand to mean that there will be no more WICKED people. Other than that I, myself do not really see any more hidden prophecy as yet in Genesis 9-13 so you can skip down to verse 14 if you like)

11. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to DIVIDE the day FROM the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: (Jesus said we will know them by their FRUITS. So prophetically speaking, we can know the people who are ruled by the LESSER light FROM the people who are ruled by the GREATER light, Greater is he that is within me than he that is in the world. And obviously, all the feast days which are known WHEN they were to be kept by the sun and the moon are for SIGNS pointing to Jesus. But the point I want my readers who are “flat earthers” to see is that the phrase “IN the firmament OF THE heaven” does not dogmatically mean that the sun and the moon are in the SKY and NOT in OUTERSPACE. I will explain why I say this right after we read the next five verses)

15. And let them be for lights IN the firmament OF THE heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. (Again, the GREATER light is the SUN of righteousness speaking prophetically and the LESSOR light is Satan the ruler of DARKNESS. And, obviously, the two great lights are LITERALLY the Sun and the moon)

17. And God set them IN the firmament OF THE heaven to give light upon the earth,

18. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to DIVIDE the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. (Again, the two lights are Jesus and Satan and LIGHT is understanding that rules the people DEPENDING on WHICH light people follow and obey)

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.”

So then, what does the phrase “IN the firmament OF THE heaven” mean if it does NOT mean that God placed the sun and the moon UNDER the DOME over the disc-shaped FLAT earth?

Now, we all agree that a DOME has the shape of an ARCH in all directions. And we all can look up at the SKY day or night and the SKY looks like an ARCH to us no matter where you are on the earth. In other words, when we look up at the SKY the WHOLE sky looks like an ARCH no matter which DIRECTION you look. But when you are in a HUGE DOME and you look up at the ceiling of a dome in ALL directions the arch is NOT the same. If you are all the way to the side of the dome the shape of the arch changes drastically. However, on the real genuine SPHERICAL earth, the shape of the arch remains the SAME.

Another point that I want to consider is WHERE are all the STARS? Are all the stars UNDER the DOME along with the sun and the moon on the flat earth model? Or all the stars on the outside of the dome rotating over the earth in the flat earth model? What I want you to see and understand is that the ARCH on the real genuine SPHERICAL earth is always the same shape no matter which direction you look EVEN in the NIGHT SKY. In other words, we do not say I went out last night and looked up at the night Outerspace. We say the night SKY. With that in mind let us look at the meanings of a couple of words in the phrase “IN the firmament OF THE heaven”.

The word firmament means an EXPANSE, a firmament, and the VISIBLE ARCH of the SKY. Remember that the stars are VISIBLE at night which we all call the night SKY. Here is what E-Sword says.

Now, let us look at the meanings of the Hebrew word that is translated as “HEAVEN”. This Hebrew word means AIR, heaven and or heavens in the PLURAL. It also means the VISIBLE arch in which the clouds move AS WELL AS the HIGHER ether where the STARS and all the planets are set by God. Here is what E-Sword says.

Now let us put everything together. We are human beings that dwell on a CIRCLE whether in be flat or spherical. God sits ABOVE the earth up in HEAVEN and God’s dwelling place is ALSO a CIRCLE whether it be flat or spherical. For you see, the SAME Hebrew word that is translated as CIRCLE to describe the earth in Isaiah 40:22 is translated as CIRCUIT of heaven in Job 22;14 which we already covered in part 2 of this series of studies on the flat earth. But let us read it again since I said that I may get back to it further on in this series of studies.

“Is not God in the HEIGHT of heaven? and behold the HEIGHT of the stars, how HIGH they are!

13. And you say, How does God know? can he judge through the DARK CLOUD?

14. Thick clouds are a covering to Him, that he sees not; and he walks in the circuit (Or CIRCLE) of heaven.”

The Hebrew word translated as “THICK CLOUDS” also means ENVELOPE. And something that envelops something means that it completely SURROUNDS it on ALL sides, top, bottom, and the sides. When a letter is COVERED by an ENVELOPE the envelope is NOT laid over the letter but rather the letter is COVERED ALL THE WAY AROUND. So then, the DARK CLOUD envelops the dwelling place of God like a COVERING all the way around. But yet God still KNOWS when we are not walking in his ways. Now, the Hebrew word translated as the “DARK CLOUD” here in Job 22:13 is the SAME Hebrew word that is used in Job 38:9 that is translated as “THICK DARKNESS”.

In other words, the “thick darkness” that COVERS the earth like a TENT is translated from the SAME Hebrew word that ENVELOPS the CIRCLE that God dwells on for His COVERING. So to ME, since the covering for God’s dwelling place is the SAME COVERING that is as a TENT for the earth. And we KNOW that same covering of clouds ENVELOPS the CIRCLE that God dwells on, then WHY would the same covering of clouds NOT completely ENVELOP the earth like a letter is INSIDE the envelope completely WRAPPED in the covering of the envelope? So that is why I interpreted the thick darkness as being OUTER SPACE that completely surrounds the SPHERICAL earth just like the scientific model that most people, including most Christians, believe. So then, the SAME “THICK DARKNESS” of OUTERSPACE also ENVELOPS or completely surrounds the place where God dwells up in the HEIGHT of heaven.

So to me, this passage of Scripture is teaching us that God dwells on a CIRCLE up in heaven somewhere in the universe of outer space. And from what we know about PLANETS in our solar system as being SPHERICAL in shape orbiting the sun then, I, myself, would have to conclude that the CIRCLE God dwells on up in heaven is ALSO SPHERICAL in shape. We may get back to this subject concerning WHERE God’s city is located out in the universe before I conclude this series of studies in God’s word.

And my point is that it is IMPOSSIBLE for God’s THRONE to be ABOVE the DOME of a flat earth and ALSO UNDER the DOME of the flat earth at the SAME time. Therefore, all the STARS and every celestial body including the CIRCLE that God dwells on must be outside the DOME of a flat earth which is called HEAVEN. The word HEAVEN speaks of ALL three levels of heaven. So then, the firmament OF heaven simply means the SKY that is IN HEAVEN as being PART OF THE heavens. To say this another way the VISIBLE part OF HEAVEN is BOTH the atmosphere of the earth AND the celestial heaven that can be seen with the naked eye. So to ME, Genesis 1:14-19 and the phrase “IN the firmament OF THE heaven” simply means that God placed the sun and the moon IN the VISIBLE ARCH around the earth. For you see, it is only on our real genuine SPHERICAL earth that the visible arch over us remains the SAME shape no matter where you are on the earth. Stand inside a DOME and look up as you walk around on the flat floor of the dome and notice how the shape of the ARCH of the dome ceiling changes as you move around in the dome. Be careful not to get dizzy and fall. But that kind of a change in the ARCH of our real genuine spherical earth does not happen because the center of the arch in the firmament is always perpendicular to us when we look straight up no matter where we are on the earth. So the SKY is the firmament in the daytime. And the heaven of space is the FIRMAMENT of the SAME SKY at night. You see, one of the meanings of the Hebrew word that is TRANSLATED as firmament also means the visible ARCH that we see when we look up into the SKY whether it be the sky in the daytime or the SKY during the nighttime. Now let us get back to the subject at hand which is the sound Biblical meaning of the FOUNDATION of the earth.

Jesus is described as being our FOUNDATION and as the chief CORNERSTONE but yet we do not take these words to mean a LITERAL non-living structural foundation made of LITERAL STONE. Rather we understand that the GOVERNMENT shall be SET upon the shoulders of Jesus according to the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6,7.

Isaiah 9:6,7.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us, a son is given: and the GOVERNMENT shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

So then, according to the Bible ITSELF, Jesus is the FOUNDATION of the earth and the righteous SAINTS are the PILLARS of the earth. Since I swerved off on a little side journey to cover Genesis 1:14-19 I will cover this truth about the FOUNDATION of the earth more in-depth in part four of this series of studies called “IS THE EARTH SITTING ON A FOUNDATION” to give my readers a SOUND Biblical answer to the question “IS THE EARTH FLAT?”

But for the remainder of part three of this series of studies, I want to go back and cover just one more verse of Scripture that I quoted but I made no comments as to what I believe that verse means. So then, some of you who have a good memory may be wondering why I have not covered the true meaning of Job 37:18 that describes the SKY over the earth as being like MOLTEN GLASS which “flat earthers” INTERPRET as being God describing a DOME covering the FLAT disc-shaped earth. So let us read this verse of Scripture again and how “flat earthers” INTERPRET it.

“Have you with him (Or were you, Job with God to help Almighty God) spread out the SKY, which is strong, and AS a molten looking GLASS?”

Again, I placed what “flat earthers”, say in another font style so you will not confuse MY teaching with what THEY teach. Now, I will admit when I first heard a “flat earthers” teaching and they used these two verses TOGETHER, like I just showed you, that I had to stop the video teaching and look these verses up for myself because they made them so CONVINCING. I have already shown you the true sound Biblical meanings of several of the verses used by “flat earthers” to try and prove that the earth is FLAT. So now, I want to show you how God showed me what the TRUE meaning of this verse is in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.

First of all, let me say again that when I FIRST heard this verse by a “flat earther” named Rob Skiba, it did indeed SEEM like this verse is describing the earth as having a DOME over it. But after reading the verse in its CONTEXT I saw two things. The first thing that I saw is that NEITHER Job NOR the Lord God the Almighty is speaking these words in Job 37:18. Now, some of you may be wondering what does it MATTER WHO is speaking these words because they are IN the BIBLE. Well, the Jews said that Jesus has a DEVIL so why hear him? Those words are IN the Bible as well but that is NOT what the Bible ITSELF teaches us.

Those who believe that the earth is flat, argue that the ANCIENTS believed that the earth is flat for thousands of years. Now, some Bible scholars say that the book of Job was the FIRST book of the Bible that was written down. In other words, it is the OLDEST book in the Bible. So that means that many people living in the days of Job would have believed that the earth was FLAT. But just because it was a common belief does NOT mean that every person believed that the earth was flat. Now in Job 42:7, Yahweh himself tells us that the three friends of Job did NOT speak RIGHTLY about the Lord. So like the Jews that said Jesus had a devil did NOT speak the truth about Jesus and thus we cannot trust the words of the UNSAVED Jews to build a doctrine upon. And likewise, we also cannot TRUST the words that the three friends of Job spoke to build Bible doctrine upon. Now, if the unsaved Jews speak words that are indeed in AGREEMENT to what the WHOLE word of Almighty God teaches THEN it is safe to use those verses of Scripture to SUPPORT what the REST of the Bible teaches. Let us read Job 42:7 and then we will go back to Job 37:18 to see WHO is doing the speaking.

Job 42:7

“And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, AND against your two friends: for you (Referring to ALL THREE friends of Job) have NOT spoken of me the thing that is RIGHT, as my servant Job has.”

Now let us read Job 37:14-19.

“Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God. (From this verse we know that neither Job nor Almighty God is doing the speaking and thus it has to be one of the THREE friends of God who is doing the speaking that God himself said that they did NOT speak RIGHT things to Job about God)

15. Do you know WHEN God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

16. Do you know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which are perfect in knowledge?

17. How your garments are warm when he quiets the earth by the south wind?

18. Have you with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass? (So then, one of the three friends of Job is speaking these which are NOT RIGHT about the things of God. And in Job 36:1 we learn that the one speaking these words is Elihu)

19. Teach us (Job) what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.”

Now, even if one will argue that these words are IN the Bible so they MUST be speaking the truth about the works of God, this verse still does NOT describe the sky as being a DOME over a flat disc-shaped earth. One must INTERPRET this verse along with all the verses that SEEM to be saying the earth is flat because those verses talk about the ENDS of the earth and the UTTERMOST PART of the earth which I have already shown to be the FOUR CARDINAL DIRECTION of the earth in part one of this series of studies.

In truth, this verse says that God made the sky as molten LOOKING glass and NOT as molten GLASS. And a LOOKING glass is a LENS. So this verse is simply saying that the SKY is like a LENS. That is why we sometimes see what we call MIRAGES when the weather conditions are just right. Also, the sky being a LENS could mean that we can see THROUGH the sky to look at the sun in the daytime and the moon, stars, and the constellations in the night SKY that STRETCHES OUT or SPREADS out so far that we can not NUMBER the stars. So again, to ME this verse does NOT prove that the words MOLTEN LOOKING GLASS is intended to be interpreted as a LITERAL HARD DOME over some flat disc-shaped earth covered by a DOME. While we are on this passage of Scripture in Job chapter 37 I would like to share with you what the Holy Spirit revealed to me about verses 16 and 17. Some may argue, how do you know it was the Holy Spirit? Well, all I know is that I talk to God and ask Him questions and he leads me to the answer in the Scriptures. Let me share what happened. I was watching a flat earther video and saw something I could not explain. This flat earther discovered that if you aim a heat-detecting gun toward the ground in the full sun that the ground is hotter than in the shade. No surprises there. We can understand that the CLOUDS would make the ground COOLER under the SHADOW of the clouds. But then this flat earther took the same heat-detecting gun and aimed it toward the ground where the MOON cast a SHADOW. And he discovered that the ground was COOLER in the light of the moon and HOTTER in the SHADOW of the moon which is the exact OPPOSITE than it is in the daytime in the light of the sun. So as asked the Lord, what is going on here? How is this possible, Lord? Does the moon really have its OWN light that is COOLER which then COOLS DOWN the ground as flat earthers claim? I did not hear anything from the Holy Spirit instantaneously, I rarely do. But I have learned to be patient and the answer seems to always come. And that is what happened this time. While I was studying Job 37:18 a few days later after watching that video about the light of the moon being a cooling light of its own I read the CONTEXT of Job 37:18 and verses 16 and 17 INTRIGUED me to learn their meaning. Now INSTANTLY when I read the words, “Do you know the BALANCING of the CLOUD” the Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance that video I watched a few days earlier about the moon having a COOLING light and the sun having a WARMING light. And I knew in an instant that God ordained the BALANCING of the temperature of the earth caused by the CLOUDS. I saw that it was the marvelous WORKS of God that BALANCED the heat that is absorbed by the mass of the earth.

Please read Job 37:16,17.

“Do you know the BALANCING of the CLOUDS, the wondrous works of him which are perfect in knowledge?

17. How your garments are WARM when he quiets (STILLS) the earth (Or He STILLS the LAND) BY the SOUTH wind?

Now, do not ask me HOW gravity works. Do not ask me HOW God HANGS the earth on NOTHING. And do not ask me HOW God has ordained the CLOUDS to BALANCE the TEMPERATURE of the GROUND that was thrown out of BALANCE BY the CLOUDS. The only answer I have is the WONDEROUS WORKS of God ORDAINING them to be so. I do NOT need to know HOW it all works. But since it intrigued me HOW could it be WARMER in the shade at night. So I asked God how this could be. And this is what he showed to me. One of the meanings of the word STILL is to EASE UP OFF. So in the STILLNESS of the night, God HIMSELF has ordained the BALANCING of the temperature of the ground that was made COOLER during the day by the CLOUDS blocking HEAT of the sun by creating a shadow on the ground. And God uses the SOUTH winds also to WARM the AIR as the warm air is EASED OFF the ground. The earth's GARMENT is the AIR. And as the heat rises or is eased off the surface of the ground the warm south wind moves it around to complete the BALANCING of the temperature.

Now if you still sincerely believe that the moon has its OWN light that is a COOL light that COOLS the earth then when the cloud moves to cast a shadow over that cooled down area HOW does the warmer area that is still under the shadow COOL down to BALANCE the temperature of the ground? There is a lot we do not know about our world and the universe. And even if SCIENCE itself told me that the moon has a COOLER light that COOLS down the ground I still would not believe them because they would be CONTRADICTING themselves unless they said the REFLECTED light from the sun SOMEHOW cools down the earth but we do not understand how. Then I would believe science over the moon having its OWN light. I have many reasons why I say this. Let me put it this way. IF SO BE that the moon had its OWN light then it would be one complicated light to be able to light up its surface in so many different ways. The moon would have to be transparent with the light inside of it with crescent-shaped shades that move in all directions and also change to show the halve moon. The light would also have to be color changing to make the moon orange. Not saying it is impossible but it is easier to go to God's word to see if there is another way to interpret the Scriptures that say the moon GIVES HER light. And that we will do in a moment after I point out something in verse 17 concerning the SOUTH wind WARMING the earth.

For you see, I believe that Job 37:17 causes a problem with the flat earth model. HOW does the “flat earth spotlight sun” WARM the SOUTH wind that is supposedly around the OUTER rim of your flat earth model right next to the supposed ICE WALL since NORTH is in the CENTER of your flat earth model? Think this through for yourself. When air is near something COLD like a massive ICE wall then that air is COOLED down. So HOW does the spotlight sun heat up the SOUTH wind WARMER than the other three wind when the south wind is right next to a massive ICE WALL. And what about Antarctica at the SOUTH pole that is covered with ICE? How is that possible with the WARM SOUTH air? If you are THINKING about becoming a flat earther then you should know that they have SEVERAL models of the earth. And when one model does not work for everything then they will show you ANOTHER model that will DISTRACT you from asking them more questions. Here is a link to two completely different flat earth models. Antarctica, the flat earth. I am just trying to understand your logic by asking the questions that I asked because it does not sound LOGICAL to ME. For me, I prefer to believe God's word that says that the WONDROUS WORK of Almighty God himself BALANCE the temperature DIFFERENCE caused by the CLOUDS. I simply believe the SAME wondrous works of God that keep the earth HANGING on NOTHING.

Yes, I realize that some verses of Scripture seem to say that the moon has her OWN light. But you have to understand that the pronoun “her” is NOT in the original text. The Hebrew word for moon is feminine so the translators simply added the pronoun “her” for clarity. Since we are on this argument by the flat-earthers that the moon GIVES off its OWN light and does NOT REFLECT the bright light of the sun then let us take a closer look at Genesis 1:15 which is one of the verses they use because some verses say that the moon GIVES light.

Genesis 1:15.

And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to GIVE light upon the earth: and it was so.

The Hebrew word translated as to GIVE also means to BE light and also to SHOW light. Here is what E-Sword says this Hebrew word means.

Keep in mind that God is talking about BOTH the sun and the moon at the same time. And if we take what we know about the sun being the GREATER light and the moon being the LESSOR light along with what we see from our real genuine SPHERICAL earth. And then we apply that knowledge to correctly interpret this verse in Genesis 1:15. Then we can see that God is saying that he set the sun to BE light and the moon to SHOW the light of the sun but in a LESSOR degree by reflecting the BRIGHT light of the sun. That is what we know that SCIENCE teaches So now let us take this INTERPRETATION and see if SCIENCE AGREES with this interpretation of Genesis 1:15 or CONTRADICTS it. Let us now read Isaiah which is a prophecy of when we will dwell in the city of the New Jerusalem and God and the Lamb will be the LIGHT and there will be no more sun and moon.

Isaiah 60:19,20

“The sun shall be no more your light by day; neither FOR (Or BECAUSE OF) BRIGHTNESS (Obviously, meaning BECAUSE OF the BRIGHTNESS of the sun seeing that the moon is the LESSOR light and NOT BRIGHT like the GREATER light of the sun) shall the moon give (Or SHOW) light unto you: but the LORD shall be unto you an everlasting light, and your God your glory. (The Hebrew word in Genesis 1:15 that is translated as to GIVE is the same Hebrew word here in verse 19 that is translated as to GIVE which should have been translated as to SHOW light)

20. Your sun shall no more go down; neither shall your moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.”

The Hebrew word translated as WITHDRAW also means GATHER, RECEIVE, TAKE AWAY, and FETCH. Here is what E-Sword says. I will highlight all the meanings that to me, speak of the moon as RECEIVING its light FROM the sun. There are more meanings than I listed above.

The word reward is now obsolete in the English language but we understand the word RErelease means to release again. The moon RE-rewards the earth with the light it RECEIVES from the sun. So to me, this passage of Scripture is obviously teaching us that the moon RECEIVES light from the BRIGHTNESS of the sun and then RERELEASES or REFLECTS the light of the sun to the OTHER SIDE of the earth rewarding the inhabitants with a lesser NIGHT light so to speak. So why does a new moon have no light? God said the sun and the moon are for SIGNS and seasons as well. There is a lot of HIDDEN prophecy that has not yet been revealed to me. But one thing I do know that the moon represents the light of Satan that rules the night and one day his lesser light will NOT reflect or COUNTERFEIT the BRIGHT light of our SUN of RIGHTEOUSNESS. Some may argue and say what about Matthew 24 where Jesus himself says that the moon shall not GIVE HER light because of the PRONOUN HER in the Greek text. Well, let us read Matthew24:29 and look up the meanings of the Greek words.

Matthew 24:29.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not GIVE HER light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”

The meaning of the Greek word translated as the English word GIVE also means RECEIVE. In other words, the moon FIRST RECEIVES light from the sun in order to GIVE her light or ITS light. Also, the meaning of the Greek word translated as HER also means IT and OF IT. Now, let us put these meanings of the same Greek words in the place of the words GIVE HER and see what this verse truly means.

Matthew 24:29.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not RECEIVE OF IT light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:”

And this meaning matches perfectly with the sound Biblical meaning of Isaiah 60:19,20 where the moon RECEIVES light BECAUSE OF the BRIGHTNESS of the sun.

Now, flat earthers also argue that with the model of the spherical earth the sun does NOT RISE or SET. And, therefore, to THEM, the earth must be FLAT. But their own model of the flat earth does NOT show their spotlight sun RISING and SETTING either. So then, on BOTH the flat earth model and the real genuine spherical earth the rising and the setting of the sun is FIGURATIVE language because our wise God knew that from the inhabitants of the earth viewpoint of the sun it would APPEAR as if the sun was going DOWN in the west and RISING again in the east.

Before I end part three of this five-part series, I would like you to imagine a spherical dome with a ball suspended inside and a line is drawn around the spherical dome that represents the equator. Imagine all the stars on the outside of this spherical dome covering the earth. Imagine all the stars circling the spherical dome of the earth. Now, if so be the firmament of the earth is indeed SPHERICAL then you could see ALL the stars circling the earth. And on our real genuine spherical earth, we can indeed see all the visible stars in heaven. BUT we cannot see ALL the stars on the FLAT earth model. In THEORY, you can but in reality, you cannot. In other words, in theory, you could see the North Star from Australia on a flat earth. BUT in real life, you can NOT see the North Star from Australia.

Please watch these two very short two minute videos and notice that the stars rotate in the OPPOSITE direction in the southern hemiSPHERE than they do in the northern hemiSPHERE. This would be IMPOSSIBLE on the FLAT earth.

Here is a link to an 8 1/2-minute on YouTube showing the stars rotating from EACH of the two hemispheres of the earth. And as you can plainly see, there are DIFFERENT stars in each hemisphere. And the stars rotate in the OPPOSITE direction. And that would be IMPOSSIBLE if the earth was flat. Please take the time to prove to yourself that the earth is not flat.

“IS THE ABSOLUTE PROOF THE EARTH IS ROTATING?”

Now again, on the flat earth model, the stars would ALWAYS rotate in the SAME direction no matter WHERE you are on the earth. So the rotation of the STARS rotating in OPPOSITE directions from one hemisphere to the next hemisphere proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that the earth is a SPHERE just like the Bible ITSELF teaches us when you CORRECTLY interpret the Scriptures.

Also, please consider closely that on our REAL GENUINE SPHERICAL earth that the Bible ACTUALLY teaches us, the NORTH star can NOT be seen when you cross into the southern hemiSPHERE. Here is a quote from a website called EARTH SKY that you can check out for yourself. The emphasis is mine.

“As you travel northward, Polaris climbs higher in the sky. If you go as far north as the North Pole, you’ll see Polaris directly overhead.

As you travel south, Polaris DROPS closer to the northern horizon.

If you get as far as the equator, Polaris SINKS to the horizon.

South of the equator, Polaris DROPS OUT of the SKY.”

And if you do not trust the information then you can do your own research. If you know someone who lives in the southern hemisphere that you trust then you can send them the information on the website where I got this quote and ask them if they can see the BIG DIPPER and the NORTH STAR. Or you can do the experiment yourself if you TRULY desire to know the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God that teaches us that the earth is a SPHERE that HANGS upon NOTHING and fly to Australia and see if you can see the NORTH star. You should be able to if so be the earth is flat.

So then, is NASA and SCIENCE the ones that are lying and DECEIVING Christians? OR is it the Illuminati, the hand behind the UNITED NATIONS pushing for a ONE world government that is NOT prophesied in the Bible. In other words, is the Illuminati responsible for reviving the ancient teaching of the FLAT earth in order to DECEIVE and DIVIDE Christians? Most Christians know and understand that the image of the all-seeing eye is the logo and emblem of the Illuminati. So anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear can clearly see that it is the ILLUMINATI that is behind the DECEPTION of the FLAT earth and NOT some so-called deception of the earth being a SPHERE as the flat earthers CLAIM.
