W-6. VERSES that PROVE JESUS is NOT the FATHER!

The Father is always identified as being the TRUE God. Jesus himself clearly identifies the Father as being the ONLY true God in John 17:3.

John 17:1-3.

“These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify YOUR SON, that YOUR SON also may glorify YOU:

2.  As YOU have GIVEN him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as YOU have GIVEN him.

3.  And this is life eternal, that they might know YOU the ONLY TRUE God AND (That they may ALSO know your SON) Jesus Christ, whom YOU have SENT.”

Jesus came to show us the Father to be the ONLY true God and that he is the WAY to the Father.

John 14:6.

“Jesus said unto him, I am the WAY, the truth, and the life: no man comes UNTO the Father, but by me.”

Jesus did not come to be the way to himself, but rather, Jesus is the way to Almighty God the FATHER. In John 14:1 Jesus said you believe in God, then believe ALSO in me. The Father and I are two separate persons. God and I are two separate persons. Jesus never identified himself as being the ONLY true God. All of the “I am” verses where Jesus says I am he or before Abraham I am must be INTERPRETED to mean that Jesus is not saying that he is Yahweh Himself. But the Bible ITSELF always identifies God as being the FATHER.

Jesus is called God by Thomas after the Son of man was raised from the dead and highly exalted, to become a God under and subject to the ONLY true God who alone is the Father. We read in Hebrews 1:8,9 that the Father is the God over His Son Jesus. Jesus manifestly declared the true character of the Father by the WORKS that the Father did through him. God glorified the Son of man so that we should honor the Son EVEN as we honor the Father. And if we do not honor the Son then we are not truly honoring the Father.

In other words, if you want to have eternal life then we must believe in BOTH the Father AND in His SON.

The disciples of Jesus understood and taught us that the Father is the true God and that Jesus was His SON.

1 Thessalonians 1:9,10.

“For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

10.  AND to wait for His SON from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”

The disciples of Jesus also taught us that if we abide in the SON of God then we have the Father ALSO. And if we do not have the SON then we do not have the Father either. Jesus is the only way to the Father. In other words, if we are in the SON then we are ALSO in the Father who is the TRUE God and ETERNAL LIFE is to be in BOTH the Son AND the Father. We are in Him who is true, speaking of being in the Father even by being in His Son. The word EVEN is NOT in the original Greek text.

1 John 5:20.

“And we know that the SON of God has come, and (That the SON OF God) has given us an understanding, that we may know HIM that is TRUE, and we are in HIM that is TRUE, even in HIS SON Jesus Christ. This is the true God, AND eternal life.”

The Jews already believe in the true God but they are not in the true God because they do NOT believe in the SON of the living God. So this verse is saying that we are in the Father by being in His SON Jesus the Christ AND by being in the SON we have the promise of eternal life abiding in us so long as we REMAIN in Jesus Christ the SON of the living God. 1 John 5:1 says that we are born of God by believing that Jesus is the Christ.

1 John 5:1.

“Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and everyone that loves him that begat loves him also that is begotten of him.”

This verse does not say that whosoever believes that Jesus is Almighty God is born of God but rather says that whosoever believes that Jesus is the CHRIST is born of God. The word “Christ” means Messiah, the Savior that God prophesied to come and it also means to be ANOINTED the one whom God EMPOWERED with His Holy Spirit dwelling in him.

Then the apostle John goes on to say in 1 John 5:11,12 that whosoever believes in the SON of God has LIFE. And whosoever has NOT the SON has NOT life. The children of Israel do NOT have eternal life abiding in them because they do NOT have the SON of God. So then, to have eternal life we must believe in BOTH the Father, AND the Son.

1 John 5:11,12.

“And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

12.  He that has the Son has life, and he that has NOT the SON of God has NOT life.”

So as long as we REMAIN in the SON of God we ALSO have the Father and the promise of eternal life dwelling in us. And as long as we REMAIN in the Son never to deny him then God will be faithful to keep His promise of rewarding us with eternal life in the world to come.

1 John 2:23.

“Whosoever denies the Son, the same has NOT the Father: (But) he that acknowledges the Son has the Father ALSO.”

So then, by being in the SON we have the Father ALSO and thus we have eternal life abiding in us.

To deny that God has a SON is the same as denying that Jesus is the atonement for your sins. Muslims deny that God has a SON but yet they believe in the God of Abraham. Muslims hate when Christians profess that Jesus is the SON of the living God and Jesus says that whosoever hates the SON hates the Father ALSO.

John 15:23.

He that hates me hates my Father ALSO.”

The Apostle John goes on to teach us that we must have BOTH the Father AND the Son in order to have eternal life. He also warns us that there are many deceivers in the world who do not believe in the doctrine of CHRIST or in the doctrine of the ANOINTING which came and dwelt in the flesh of Jesus.

2 John 1:7-10.

“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. (Or those who confess not that Jesus ANOINTING has come in the flesh) This is a deceiver and an antichrist. (Or anti ANOINTING came in the flesh.

8.  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

9.  Whosoever transgresses, and abides NOT in the doctrine of Christ, (Or the doctrine of the ANOINTING who dwelt in the flesh of Jesus) has NOT God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has BOTH the Father AND the Son. (In other words, we must believe that Jesus was ANOINTED by God which means that Almighty God, the Father, DWELT IN the Son of man, Jesus)

10.  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, (Of the ANOINTED Son of man, Jesus) receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:”

This is not saying that we should not receive Trinitarians and Oneness believers into our house, but rather, we are not to receive their DOCTRINE into our house. Please read the study “ARE BELIEVERS IN THE TRINITY ANTICHRISTS?” which also addresses the question “Are Oneness believers antichrist?” For you see, neither the Trinitarian Christians nor the Oneness Christians truly believe that Jesus was a human being who was ANOINTED with the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:38 clearly teaches us that God ANOINTED His Son Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power. This verse teaches us that God was WITH Jesus and that is how Jesus did the works to heal the sick who were oppressed by the devil. It was NOT Jesus himself healing the sick but rather it was the Father who DWELT in Jesus who healed the sick.

Acts 10:38.

How God ANOINTED Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; FOR (Or BECAUSE) God was WITH him.”

Jesus said that he could do nothing of HIMSELF and that it was the Father who DWELT in him who did the works that men saw Jesus doing. Jesus would SEE in a dream of in a vision his God and Father healing someone or telling him to heal someone and what Jesus SAW or perceived the Father doing Jesus ALSO did LIKEWISE.

John 5:19.

“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of HIMSELF, but what he sees the Father do: for what things soever He does, these ALSO does the Son LIKEWISE.”

Then John 14:7-12 goes on to say that it was the Father who dwelt in Jesus who was the one doing the mighty works of healing and that we shall do the same works in the same way by the power of the same Holy Spirit dwelling in us as believers in Jesus.

John 14:7-12.

“If you had known me, you should have known my Father ALSO: and from henceforth you know him, and have seen him.

8.  Philip said unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it suffices us.

9.  Jesus said unto him, Have I been with you for so long a time, and yet, you have not known me, Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father; and how say you then, Show us the Father? (Now, Oneness believers INTERPRET this verse as Jesus saying that he is the Father but in the very next verse Jesus makes it clear to us that he is NOT speaking of HIMSELF, but rather, Jesus is speaking of the Father who DWELLS in him as the one who was doing the works of healing. The FULLNESS of the Godhead did NOT dwell in Jesus until AFTER the CROSS. Please read the study THE DOCTRINE OF ONENESS EXPLAINED!)

10.  Believe you not that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak NOT of MYSELF: but (I am speaking of) the Father that DWELLS in me, HE does the works. (So Jesus is saying if you have seen the good WORKS that I do THROUGH the power of the eternal Spirit dwelling in me then you have seen the Father because it is the Father who does the WORKS. The Son can do NOTHING OF himself)

11.  Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. (Or else simply believe the GOOD WORKS of healing and you will understand the true nature and character of Almighty God the Father who dwells in me)

12.  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do (Through the eternal Spirit who DWELLS IN me) shall he do ALSO (Through the same anointing of the eternal Spirit who dwells in them); and greater works than these shall he do; because I go UNTO my Father.”

Jesus was not ALONE for the Father was WITH him by dwelling IN him.

John 8:28,29.

“Then said Jesus unto them, When you have lifted up the Son of MAN, then shall you know that I am he, (Or that I am the Christ, the ANOINTED of God, the SON OF the living God, the one prophesied to come) and that I do nothing of MYSELF; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things.

29.  And He that SENT me is WITH me: the Father has not left me ALONE; for I always do those things that please HIM.

Now it takes TWO separate persons to be together with each other for Jesus to not be left ALONE. The Father was WITH Jesus BY DWELLING in him. When Jesus was baptized in the River Jordan by John the Baptist that is WHEN the eternal Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus to REMAIN WITH him never leaving him alone from that point on to the cross.

Also, Jesus did not please himself to do his OWN will but rather Jesus brought his own will into obedience to do his Father’s will.

John 16:32.

“Behold, the hour comes, yea, is now come, that you shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me ALONE: and yet I am NOT alone, because the Father is WITH me.”

And now Jesus is in heaven WITH the Father sitting at the Father’s right hand.

Revelation 3:21.

“To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down WITH my Father in HIS throne.”

The Bible itself teaches us that there can be more than just one God because the Bible teaches us that the one true God is the God of Gods. But mere common sense teaches us there can only be ONE God who alone is the ALMIGHTY God. In other words, if any God has another God over them then they cannot possibly be the ONLY TRUE God who ALONE is the FATHER.

Let us now take a look at some of the verses that clearly teach us that even though Jesus is called God, he is subject and under the Father who is HIS God.

Hebrews 1:8,9.

“But unto the Son He said, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom. (The word God is simply a TITLE. Yahweh the Father is the God of Gods. And Jesus is a God under and subject to his God and Father)

9.  You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; THEREFORE,(Or BECAUSE of this very reason that you have loved righteousness and hated sin) God, EVEN YOUR God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”

This agrees with Philippians 2:8-11 which teaches us that the very reason why the Son of man was HIGHLY EXALTED and given a name above every other name was that he became OBEDIENT to do all his God and Father’s will, even to suffer and die on the cross.

Philippians 2:8-11.

“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9.  WHEREFORE, (Or for this very reason of becoming obedient to do all the Father’s will even to suffer and die on the cross) God (EVEN HIS God) also has highly exalted him, and given him a NAME which is above every name:

10.  That at the NAME of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11.  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

The disciples of Jesus always clearly identified the FATHER as being God and the SON of God and being Lord.

1 Corinthians 8:6.

But to us (As Christians) there is but ONE God, the FATHER, of whom are all things, and we in him: and ONE Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”

In other words, “the Father” is the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY GOD and since there can only be ONE God who can be the ALMIGHTY God, then where does this put Jesus, who is ALSO called God by his God and Father? Well, this verse along with many other verses, teaches us that Jesus Christ is our ONE Lord, who was MADE to be both Lord and Christ by his God and Father according to Acts 2:36.

Acts 2:36.

“Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has MADE that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

So then, to us as Christians, there is but ONE ALMIGHTY God, who ALONE is the FATHER and there is also only ONE Lord, who is Jesus the Christ, the ANOINTED one of God, the SON of God, and the Son of MAN who his God and Father HIGHLY EXALTED to become a God to rule for Yahweh on his Father's throne at his God and Father’s right hand. The word LORD in all caps should have been translated as Yahweh. Ephesians 4:4-6 says it this way about the Father being above ALL clearly identifying the Father as the ONE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God.

Ephesians 4:4-6.

“There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; ONE Lord, one faith, one baptism, ONE GOD and FATHER of all, who is ABOVE ALL, and through all, and in you all.

In this verse, we again read that there is only ONE LORD, which we already know to be Jesus, and again we see that there is only ONE GOD, which again is clearly shown to be the FATHER of all. In addition, in this verse we see that God the Father is ABOVE ALL, which also includes Yahweh the Father being above His Son Jesus.

So then, OUR God is our Father who is also the GOD of Jesus whom Yahweh made to become a God UNDER and subject to Yahweh the ONLY TRUE God.  Always keep in mind that the word “God” is a TITLE that means mighty one, a ruler, one having authority and power to rule. Please read the study “ARE THERE TWO GODS?”. The writers of the New Testament in almost every book of the New Testament clearly identify the FATHER as being God, as in, the God of His Son Jesus and only ONE time in the entire New Testament is the Son ever said to be God, which is in Hebrews chapter 1 as we have already learned is speaking of Jesus as being a God UNDER and subject to HIS God and Father that the whole word of God always clearly identifies as being THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the FATHER. All these verses and many more clearly teach us, that from the Virgin birth on, that Jesus is a SEPARATE person from Almighty God the Father. Clearly, Jesus is NOT the FATHER.

Acts 2:33.

“Therefore, being by the right hand of God EXALTED, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he has shed forth this, which you now see and hear.”

Romans 1:7.

“To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our FATHER, AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. Now, some ONENESS believers may INTERPRET this verse to wrongly teach that Jesus is the FATHER Himself, but that does not make it so just because some church denomination INCORRECTLY interprets a verse in the Bible. We must interpret each verse in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of God. And this next verse clearly teaches us that Jesus is NOT the FATHER, but rather that God is the Father of Jesus.

Romans 15:6.

“That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, EVEN the FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being clearly identified as being our Lord and CHRIST.

1 Corinthians 1:31.

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our FATHER, AND from the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being the Lord and the Christ. Also please notice that many of these greetings specifically state that they are from God our Father AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ which clearly teaches us that they are TWO SEPARATE beings and not one and the self same being as the Oneness believers dogmatically demand. So again, the Bible itself teaches us that when the spoken word of PROPHECY became flesh that is when there was no longer ONE being. God is NOT a MAN and neither is He the Son of MAN.

1 Corinthians 15:24.

“Then comes the end, when he (Jesus the SON OF Almighty God the FATHER) Shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, EVEN the Father; when He (The Father) shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being the SON OF God, who is our Lord and CHRIST.

2 Corinthians 1:2.

“Grace be to you and peace from God our FATHER, AND from the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being the Lord Jesus Christ. And again, we see TWO beings and not just one being.

2 Corinthians 1:3.

“Blessed be God, EVEN the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;”

Again, God is clearly identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. Almighty God the FATHER is being identified as the Father OF our Lord Jesus the CHRIST along with Almighty God Yahweh the Father being identified as the Father of mercies and also as the God of all comfort.

2 Corinthians 11:3.

“The God and Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knows that I lie not.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. And the Father is also identified as being the God of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1:1.

“Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, AND God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)”

 Galatians 1:3.

“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, AND from our Lord Jesus Christ,

Again, God is clearly identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

Galatians 1:4.

“Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the WILL of God and our Father:”

Ephesians 1:2.

“Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, AND from the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. Also for the “Oneness believers all through these verses, we clearly see TWO different SEPARATE beings or persons. The words FROM God our Father AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ cannot be interpreted to mean ONE being. Clearly, the Bible ITSELF teaches us that we MUST believe in BOTH the Father, AND the SON.

Ephesians 1:3.

“Blessed be the God AND Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. In this verse, we ALSO see the writer of Ephesians identifying the Father OF Jesus as being the GOD of Jesus as well. So then, the ALMIGHTY is BOTH God AND Father of Jesus.

Ephesians 1:17.

“That THE God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:”

The subject of this verse is about THE God of Jesus, speaking of Almighty God the FATHER, as being the Father of glory, who gives us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

Ephesians 4:6.

ONE God and FATHER of ALL, who is ABOVE ALL, and through all, and in you all.”

In this verse, the writer of the book of Ephesians clearly and plainly identifies the ALMIGHTY the God, who is ABOVE ALL as being the ONE God called the FATHER. And the Father is ABOVE Jesus.

Ephesians 5:20.

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”

Again, God is clearly identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

Ephesians 6:23.

“Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

Philippians 1:2.

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Philippians 2:11.

“And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

In this verse, the writer teaches us that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and NOT  confess that Jesus is THE ALMIGHTY YAHWEH HIMSELF. So once again, THE ALMIGHTY God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. Also notice that it is to the GLORY of the FATHER that every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord.

Philippians 4:20.

“Now unto God and our Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”

In this verse, we see only the FATHER as being God.

 Colossians 1:2.

“To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

Colossians 1:3.

“We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,”

Again, this verse is saying that God is the GOD of Jesus and the FATHER of Jesus, which agrees with the rest of God's word. The father of his child is NOT the child itself and the child of his father is NOT the father himself. And thus, the God of Jesus of NOT Jesus himself and Jesus is NOT the God of himself. The Father and Son are two SEPARATE persons. They are NOT one and the self-same BEING. They are two separate BEINGS who are working TOGETHER as one in one purpose. We are ONE body but you are not me and I am not you. We all are ONE in unity working TOGETHER for the same purpose.

1 Thessalonians 1:1.

“Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father AND in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. If you are a Oneness Pentecostal Christian who believes that the Father is Jesus and Jesus is the Father, then are there TWO Christs? No! There is only ONE Christ is ONE being. The one being in one person who did the ANOINTING in the Father, and other one being in one person who is Jesus was ANOINTED by the Father. So the Father Himself is NOT the Christ. But rather, the Father is the SOURCE of the anointing with power and authority. For you see, it was the Father who MADE Jesus to be BOTH Lord and Christ after the cross, according to Acts 2:36. It was the Son of MAN, Jesus, who Almighty God HIGHLY EXALTED to become Yahweh's Lord of the Sabbath. And Jesus did not actually become God's Messiah until AFTER the cross.

1 Thessalonians 1:3.

“Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

1 Thessalonians 3:1.

“Now God HIMSELF and our Father, AND our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.”

Here in this verse, we see the writer clearly identifying the ONE true God HIMSELF as being the FATHER and again identifying Jesus as being both Lord and CHRIST.

1 Thessalonians 3:13.

“To the end, he may establish your hearts without any blame in holiness before God, EVEN our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”

Again, God is clearly identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

2 Thessalonians 1:1.

“Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ:”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

2 Thessalonians 1:2.

“Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

2 Thessalonians 2:16.

“Now our Lord Jesus Christ HIMSELF, AND God, EVEN our Father, which has loved us, and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,”

In this verse, the writer seems to go out of his way to clearly identify Jesus HIMSELF as being Lord and Christ and EVEN the FATHER as being the Almighty God.

1 Timothy 1:2.

“Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father AND Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Once again, our Lord is identified as being Jesus Christ and our God as being clearly identified as the FATHER.

 2 Timothy 1:2.

“To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

Titus 1:4.

“To Titus, my own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

Philemon 1:3.

“Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

James 1:27.

“Pure religion and not defiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself not spotted from the world.”

The ONE TRUE God in ONE person is both the God and FATHER of His Son Jesus, but Jesus is NEVER called the Father of God. Now, SOME Oneness Pentecostal Christians are understanding that Jesus is indeed a SEPARATE person from the Father, but they have a hard time understand how two separate persons and both be called God when there is only ONE God in ONE person. They fail to see that God is a TITLE like a King is a TITLE. Jesus was set or appointed to be God's King of kings, and Lord of lords. And at the coming of Jesus, then we will be made to become kings and lords to rule and reign WITH Jesus. But you see, that does not make us to be Jesus himself. So just like Almighty God is the invisible ETERNAL King and the King over Jesus who made Jesus to BECOME His King of kings, so has the invisible eternal Lord MADE His Son both Lord and Christ to be our Lord. Can you not see the order of authority and the order of EXISTENCE? We are NOT yet made lords and kings. Jesus was BORN to be King, according to John 18:37. And the eternal invisible God has always been the ETERNAL King, according to 1 Timothy 1:17.

James 3:9.

“Therewith bless we God, EVEN the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.”

In this verse like 1 Corinthians 8:6, the writer EMPHASIZES God being SOLELY identified as being the FATHER ALONE that he says EVEN the FATHER.

1 Peter 1:2.

“Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.”

1 Peter 1:3.

“Blessed be the God AND Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”

Here again, the Almighty is being clearly identified as the God of Jesus as well as the Father of Jesus. And Jesus is identified as Lord and Christ.

2 Peter 1:17.

“For he (Jesus the SON of Almighty God the FATHER) received FROM God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved SON, in whom I am well pleased.”

1 John 3:1.

“Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore, the world knows us not because it knows him not.”

2 John 1:3.

“Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, AND from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.”

Again, God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. And notice that these greetings are from BOTH the Father AND FROM His SON Jesus, the Christ.

2 John 1:9.

“Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has BOTH the Father AND the Son.”

In this verse, we clearly see that we must without fail believe in BOTH Almighty God the Father AND in His SON Jesus. Now to me, if so be that the word of God truly taught the doctrine of the trinity, then this verse would have been the ideal place to add the Holy Spirit and clearly teach us that we must believe in all THREE, rather than believing in only BOTH the Father and the Son. Please read the study called “THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A PERSON! and the study “THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE FATHER!” for a deeper understanding that in truth the Bible only speaks of TWO different persons and NOT three different persons as the doctrine of the trinity dogmatically demands there to be THREE persons in one divine being called the ALMIGHTY God.

Jude 1:1.

“Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, AND preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:”

Again, the FATHER is identified as being God.

Revelation 1:6.

“And has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen”

In the four gospels, Jesus HIMSELF identifies the one TRUE God and being the FATHER. Please read John 17:3 where Jesus is praying to his God and Father the ONE TRUE and ONLY Almighty God. Please notice that Jesus says that the Father is the ONLY true God.

John 17:3.

“And this is life eternal, that they might know YOU the ONLY TRUE God, AND Jesus Christ, whom YOU have sent.”

In other words, Jesus is praying to his God and Father for us to know the FATHER as being the ONE TRUE God AND also to know that Jesus was SENT or COMMISSIONED by the ONE TRUE God. The literal meaning of SENT is COMMISSIONED, which means that God gave his Son power and authority to accomplish the task of doing all of his God and Father's WILL.

In 1 John 4:9-15, we can see in verse 9 that God sent or COMMISSIONED his only begotten SON, and in verse 14 we can see that the FATHER sent his SON which again clearly shows us that God is the FATHER.

1 John 4:9-15.

“In this was MANIFESTED the LOVE of God toward us, because that God SENT his only begotten SON into the world, that we might live through him. (God was MANIFEST IN THE FLESH means that God’s LOVE and GOODNESS and mercy was clearly revealed to us through HIS SON who became obedient to do all the FATHER’S WILL even to suffer and die on the cross for our sins. And the word “SENT” means COMMISSIONED. The word “COMMISSIONED” means to GIVE power and authority to a person for them to be empowered to do the task they are given to do. So the Son of God was SENT after his baptism when Yahweh the Father ANOINTED or commissioned the Son of man to preach the Gospel of the kingdom. Please read the study “JOHN 3:17 WAS JESUS SENT FROM HEAVEN?”)

10. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12. No man has seen God at any time. (And clearly many men have indeed seen Jesus) If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us. (So then, to all my Oneness readers, if God dwelling IN Jesus means that he is Yahweh himself then what does God dwelling IN us make us be. Certainly, we are NOT Almighty God because God dwells in us?)

13. Hereby we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. (Here we know that God and his Spirit are one and the same eternal divine being. But the eternal Spirit dwelling in Jesus does not make him be Almighty God Himself. But rather God came down from heaven and DWELT in the FLESH of the Son of man, Jesus. And now the same eternal Spirit dwells in us as believers in his SON Jesus and being the CHRIST, the ANOINTED OF God, who anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power to do to the will of the Father. Jesus is NOT the Father, but rather, the Father was WITH Jesus by DWELLING in him)

14. And we have seen and do testify that the Father SENT the Son to be the Savior of the world. (Again, the word SENT means COMMISSIONED. And the word commissioned means to GIVE power and authority to a person to accomplish the task that the person was sent to accomplish. Jesus was ANOINTED by God at his BAPTISM when the eternal Holy Spirit descended from heaven to REMAIN upon Jesus)

15. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the SON of God, God dwells in him, and he in God.”

Nowhere in the Bible do I find that we are commanded to believe that Jesus is Almighty God Himself, but we are told over and over that we must believe in the SON of God. And if we do not have the SON, then we do not have the Father either.

1 John 2:22-25.

“Who is a liar, but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is an antichrist, who denies the Father AND the Son. (Jesus as being the Christ means that God ANOINTED Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power. This means that God DWELT in Jesus which means that there were TWO the Father AND the SON of the Father. God was WITH His Son Jesus by DWELLING in the Son of man, Jesus)

23.  Whosoever denies the Son, the same has not the Father: (But) he that acknowledges the Son has the Father ALSO.

24.  Let that, therefore, abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, AND in the Father.

25.  And this is the promise that he has promised us, even eternal life.”

Now let us take a close look at 37 reasons why Jesus is NOT the ONLY true God who alone is the Father. For all the Scriptures please read the study “37 FACTS TO PONDER ABOUT JESUS BEING GOD!” In this study, I will briefly summarize these 37 facts that need no interpretation.

#1. Jesus has the Father over him as being HIS God, and it is impossible for the one true and only ALMIGHTY God to have another God over him.

#2. Jesus was tempted and Almighty God Himself cannot be tempted.

#3. Jesus did NOT know the hour of his return and said that ONLY the FATHER knows the hour of his coming again.

#4. Jesus had his OWN WILL which was not his Father’s will and thus Jesus had to become obedient to do his Father’s will and NOT his OWN will.

#5. Jesus could do nothing of HIMSELF and it was the Father dwelling in him who did the works.

#6. Jesus could NOT heal the people in his own home town but yet nothing is impossible with God.

#7. Jesus was ANOINTED by his God and Father which means that God GAVE him power and authority, but God Himself does not need to be GIVEN anything because He is already all-powerful.

#8. Jesus said that there is none good but the Father ONLY when a young man called Jesus good.

#9. Jesus said that the Father was GREATER than him. So, if so be that Jesus was the ONLY true God who alone is the FATHER, then how can God, even HIS God, be greater than the Son if they are one and the self-same being?

#10. Jesus was under and subject to his God and Father. It makes no sense to say that the Father obeyed Himself. Clearly, Jesus, the SON of God, is a separate distinctly different person from the Father having his OWN soul and his OWN will.

#11. Jesus never once claimed that he was the ONLY true God, but rather, Jesus always clearly identified the FATHER as being the ONLY true God, according to John 17:1-3.

#12. Jesus plainly states some 80 times that he is the Son of MAN even when he is called the Son of God by others. Please read the study “JESUS THE SON OF MAN!” for all the verses which show us that Jesus was called the Son of MAN twice as much as others called him the Son of God.

#13. The Bible ITSELF says that the word became FLESH and NOT that the word of prophecy became flesh while REMAINING the fully Almighty God.

#14. Jesus PRAYED to the Father for himself and he prayed for us. It makes no sense to say that the Father prayed to Himself.

#15. The Bible ITSELF teaches us that we must honor BOTH the Father AND the SON, and if we do not have the SON then we do not have the Father either. We MUST have the SON in order to have the Father ALSO to have eternal life and whosoever does not have the SON does NOT have eternal life abiding in them.

#16. Jesus INCREASED in knowledge and the ONLY true God knows the end from the beginning.

#17. Jesus was HIGHLY EXALTED to become a God to rule FOR Yahweh while the Father rests during the seventh 1000 year long day of the Lord. Why would an already Almighty God need to be highly exalted? And WHO would highly exalt an already HIGHEST being there is?

#18. Jesus was GIVEN the divine nature of immortality to be having in himself BECAUSE he was the Son of MAN. And Jesus was GIVEN this eternal life by the Father, even as, the Father has always had immortality in Himself.

#19. Jesus was COMMANDED by the Father. It makes no sense to say that the Father commanded Himself and then obeyed himself.

#20. Jesus said that you can blaspheme the SON but you are in danger of hell-fire if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit. So what about the FATHER? Jesus did not mention the Father because the eternal Holy Spirit is the Father. Please read the study “WHY THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE FATHER!” for all the verses.

#21. God is the HEAD over Jesus and the Godhead DWELT in the Son of MAN Jesus. Why would the Godhead need to dwell in and empower the Godhead? The Father alone and by Himself is the Godhead.

#22. Jesus is now seated WITH the Father on his Father’s throne at the right-hand side of the Father. So then, there are TWO separate persons or beings in heaven, the Father AND His SON, who He highly exalted and granted His human Son to sit on His throne.

#23. God the Father COMMITTED all judgment to His Son BECAUSE he is the Son of MAN.

#24. It was Almighty God, the Father, who saved or redeemed the Son of man from the dead so that he would not see corruption.

#25. Jesus was raised from the dead by his God and Father. Please read the study “JOHN 2:19 DID JESUS RAISE HIMSELF FROM THE DEAD?” for all the Scriptures.

#26. The Bible ITSELF teaches us that the MAN, Jesus Christ, is the mediator BETWEEN God and mankind. A mediator is a “neutral” person. One does not mediate between themselves and others.

#27. Jesus himself clearly identifies the Father as being the ONLY true God and therefore we must interpret 1 John 5:20 in the LIGHT of John 17:3. Please read the study “1 JOHN 5:20 JESUS CHRIST THIS IS THE TRUE GOD!” for all the verses to correctly interpret this verse.

#28. Almighty God, the Father HIMSELF, revealed to Peter that Jesus is the CHRIST, the SON of the living God. Can you not see that there is a DIFFERENCE from being the ONLY true God and the SON of the only true God?

#29. God Himself MADE the Son of man, Jesus, to become both Lord and Christ.

#30. God Himself never sleeps nor slumbers but yet Jesus slept in the boat.

#31. God Himself is INVISIBLE and no mortal man can see him, but yet, many mortal men saw Jesus.

#32. The Bible ITSELF teaches us that God is NOT a MAN and neither is God the Son of MAN.

#33. Jesus is the HEIR and the Father GIVES to the Son his INHERITANCE. And we are joint-heirs with Jesus.

#34. Jesus is NOT the creator of all things but rather Jesus is the reason that we can become God’s NEW creation. Yes, there are some verses that SEEM to say that Jesus is the creator of all things, but in TRUTH, those verses are, in fact, teaching us that Jesus is the BEGINNING of God’s NEW creation. Please read the following three studies for all the verses. “EPHESIANS 3:9-11 DID JESUS CREATE ALL THINGS?”

#35. Jesus was GIVEN everything BY the Father which proves that the Father is the SOURCE of all things.

#36. Jesus said that he came forth OUT FROM God as opposed to saying that he himself was Yahweh made flesh.

#37. Jesus is called the word of God because it was the word of God that BECAME FLESH. Every word of PROPHECY, concerning God’s Christ, has already been fulfilled in Jesus or will be fulfilled in Jesus in the world to come. This is HOW Jesus came OUT FROM God.

1 Corinthians 8:6.

“But to us, there is but ONE God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; AND ONE LORD Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”

Again, the Bible ITSELF teaches us that there are many Gods, but there can only be ONE God who alone is the ALMIGHTY God, and who alone and by Himself created all things. And Yahweh alone and by Himself manifested or FORMED Jesus from the womb by PERFORMING His own spoken word of PROPHECY.

Isaiah 44:24.

“Thus says the LORD, YOUR redeemer, and he that formed YOU from the womb, I am the LORD (Or I am Yahweh) that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens ALONE; that spreads abroad the earth by MYSELF;”

It was Yahweh who formed Jesus in the womb of the Virgin Mary. It was Yahweh who redeemed Jesus from death and did not leave his soul in hell. And it was Yahweh ALONE and BY HIMSELF who created all things by SPEAKING them into existence.

So, what about Jesus being called God? Please read the study “ARE THERE TWO GODS?” for all the verses that God created Himself a God to rule FOR Him during the seventh 1000 year long day of the Lord while Yahweh rests on the seventh day as prophesied in Genesis 2:1-3. And God did this so that He could judge Satan and the fallen angels by the MAN He ordained and raised from the dead, according to Acts 17:29-31. And consequently, God must judge the world as well, but He takes no pleasure in the death of the sinners who reject His salvation through His Son, Jesus.
