THERE ARE SEVEN EXAMPLES FOUND IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION the PICTURE the rapture of the church at the end this PRESENT world and also the harvest of those saved at the END of the Millennial reign of Jesus. What I mean by this is that there are NOT seven different raptures of the church, but rather, there is what most Christians call the rapture of the church. Now the rapture of the church at the end of this PRESENT world is just one single rapture that is shown to us in seven different places in the Book of Revelation. And in those seven examples we can see another rapture of those who will be saved DURING the world to come. And that harvest of the saints will take place at the END of the Millennial reign of Jesus in the world to come. In other words, there are seven figures, types, or pictures of the rapture of the church found in the book of Revelation. Most Christians are familiar with Revelation 4:1 being a picture of the rapture of the church because it has been used by the pre-tribulation view of the rapture of the church as one of their proof-text to try and prove the pre-tribulation rapture theory. Here are the Scriptures that picture the seven examples of the rapture that provide different details to know when the rapture of the church of this PRESENT world will take place. Picture #1 of the rapture of the church. Revelation 4:1,2. “After this, I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was, as it were, of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.” Picture #2 of the rapture of the church. Revelation 7:9-17. “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10. And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God, 12. Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might be unto our God forever and ever. Amen. 13. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? And whence came they? 14. And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they which came OUT of GREAT TRIBULATION, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15. Therefore, are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and He that sits on the throne shall dwell among them. 16. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sunlight on them, nor any heat. 17. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” Picture #3 of the rapture of the church. Revelation 11:11-13. “And after three days and a half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies beheld them. 13. And the same hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men, seven thousand: and the remnant was affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.” Picture #4 of the rapture of the church. Revelation 14:13-16. “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them. 14. And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in your sickle, and reap: for the TIME is come for you to REAP; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16. And he who sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth, and the earth was REAPED.” Picture #5 of the rapture of the church. Revelation 16:1,17. “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walks naked, and they see his shame. 16. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.” This verse teaches us the PLACE WHERE we are going to be gathered together to MEET Jesus in the air. We will be gathered together by the angels from one end of the earth to the other and then we will be taken to MEET Jesus in the AIR over the place called Armageddon where we the saints will be given the honor to help Jesus execute the wrath of God. Please read Psalm 149:5-9. “Let the SAINTS be joyful IN glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. 6. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7. To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8. To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9. To execute upon them the judgment written: this honor has all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.” Picture #6 of the rapture of the church. Revelation 18:1-6. “And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. (Speaking of the coming of Jesus with the archangel Michael and the armies of angels and saints who have died in Jesus from the time of the Apostles to the last tribulation saint) 2. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Speaking of the rapture of the church just before we help Jesus execute the wrath of God to give the wicked double what they have done and will do during the great tribulation) 5. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled fill to her double.” Picture #7 of the rapture of the church. Revelation 20:1-6. “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (Again, speaking of the coming of Jesus with the Archangel Michael) 2. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that, he must be loosed a little season. 4. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6. Blessed and holy is he that has a part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” All of these verses agree with the order of events that Jesus gives to us in Matthew 24:27-31. Matthew 24:27-31. “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Behold I come QUICKLY) 28. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. (We will mount up as wings of eagles and be gathered together by the angels to be taken to the Battle of Armageddon where we will assist Jesus in executing the wrath of God from the AIR. And the seventh vial was poured out upon the AIR) 29. Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days (Speaking of the 3 1/2 years of great tribulation just BEFORE the WRATH of God) shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: (SIGNS that shall usher in the coming of Jesus and the WRATH of God which will appear toward the very end of the great tribulation) 30. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: (Where every eye shall see the coming of Jesus and there will be no doubt that he has returned) and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, (Speaking of the twelve tribes of Israel and SOME of the tribes of the twelve sons of Ishmael. The rest of the tribes of Ishmael will turn and make war against Jesus and his army of angels and the saints) and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Picture all the faithful Christians being caught up into the air straight up being scattered all over the earth. Jesus will send his angels and gather us all together to MEET Jesus in the AIR to execute the wrath of God from the AIR. When you read the six seals next time please notice that the first six seals are opened one right after the other and then there is a GAP between the sixth and seventh seal. The same thing happens with the seven trumpets and the seven vials. And each time in this GAP you can see the picture of the coming of Jesus and the rapture of the church or some event connected to the rapture of the church like the resurrection. Then notice that the seventh seal, the seven trumpets and the seventh vial are the WRATH of God. This all agrees with Job 5:19-24 where the church will go through the SIX trouble of the great tribulation but the SEVENTH will not touch us because we are not appointed to the WRATH of God which is found in the SEVENTH seal, trumpet, and vial. Job 5:19-24. “He shall deliver you IN SIX: yes, in SEVEN there shall NO evil TOUCH you. 20. In famine, he shall redeem you from death: and in war from the power of the sword. 21. You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue: neither shall you be afraid of destruction when it comes. 22. At destruction and famine you shall laugh: neither shall you be afraid of the beasts of the earth. 23. For you shall be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you. 24. And you shall know that your tabernacle shall be in peace, and you shall visit your habitation, and shall not sin.” God has promised to give POWER to his two witnesses during the 3 1/2 years of the great tribulation. All believers in Jesus have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them but not all believers are walking in the POWER of the Holy Spirit. They are being destroyed for lack of knowledge. I believe that knowledge will increase in the last day and Christians will know who they are IN Jesus Christ and the authority they have in the mighty name of Jesus.
