THE DEITY OF JESUS AND THE TRINITY

THE DEITY OF JESUS

AND THE TRINITY

Let me just say right off that I do indeed believe that Jesus is God and that Jesus is deity, but NOT in the same way that the ORTHODOX main stream church denomination teach. I will explain what I mean by this in detail further on in this study of God's word, but first I would like to share HOW I came to believe what I now believe, because I was not taught by man what I now believe and teach. And I might add that we ALL believe what we believe because we were TAUGHT to believe what we believe.
So then, here is my personal testimony of how I came to believe what I now believe and teach. Being one, who has been born and raised in church, so to speak, I have heard, and have been taught many things about God by the Roman Catholic church first and then other church denominations later on in my adult life. And even though I was taught about God from an early age I never had what some call a personal relationship with Jesus, until I began dating the girl that I would someday marry. Looking back I am fully persuaded that it was her rock solid, unshakable faith in God, and her prayers that caused me to take a closer look at what I was taught to believe for myself to see what the Bible ITSELF teaches. For you see my faith or church upbringing had failed me, and I was no longer going to church at the time when I first met her.

As I said, before I met my wife, I was born and raised in a church, that is to say, more precisely I was raised in a religion based home. My mother was a devout Catholic, who had me baptized in the Catholic Church as a baby, and being a Catholic, I myself was taught from a very young age that I was never to question the priest or the nuns who taught me about God. Over and over I heard this, NOT to question what I was taught about God

All my life as I was growing up I was taught never to question what I was taught to believe, but then one day while I was in a high school class at church the priest began to teach on the doctrine of the trinity. He began to explain the Godhead as being three persons and yet still one God. All three persons were God, meaning that there was God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, but yet there was only one God. He went on to say that it is sort of like water which as an element is H20. He explained that water (H2O) can be a liquid, or water can be a gas (steam), and water can be a solid (ice), but yet all three forms are still H20. Now I already knew all of this, because I had heard it all my life. However he said something I never heard before.

He then made a statement that really made me think, I mean really made me think for MYSELF. He said to us, “Are there any QUESTIONS”….a seemingly long pause…Then he went on to say, “It is alright to question your faith. I know some of you have some questions.”

From that point on I could not tell you a word that was said, I was deep in thought, in my own world, so to speak. I almost could not believe my ears. All this time I had been taught that it was wrong to question my beliefs, or what I had been TAUGHT. And now this particular priest is telling me that it is alright to question what he was teaching. Now here is what came out of this deep thought.

It was like I was set free to think for myself. I always feared to ask any questions about God, because I was always taught that the Pope was infallible, which means he could not make an error in writing the doctrines of the church, and that this knowledge was handed down through the chain of those in leadership, then ultimately to us, the laity.

To be honest my knowledge of the God and the Bible was next to none at the time that I accepted Jesus as my personal savior. I cannot tell you the exact time and day, but only the season that I came to the knowledge of the truth and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. It was a few months before I got married. Anyway, as I was saying earlier, my soon to be wife’s unshakable faith caused me to closely examine my own beliefs for MYSELF using only the Bible.

The only thing I knew for an absolute surety at that time was that all the Christian beliefs, no matter which church or the denomination there was that they all used the Bible as their foundation for what each of these different denominations believed. Yet I knew that they all taught something different and that is why there was not just ONE church denomination? But which church denomination was teaching the truth. Were any of the church denominations teaching EVERY thing as being the truth? I felt deep inside that the ONLY way to know for sure was to see for MYSELF what the Bible ITSELF teaches.

So I purchased a Bible and held it up before God and from all the sincerity of my heart I prayed this prayer, “God I want to know the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH, and NOTHING BUT  the TRUTH. I do not care who is right or who is wrong,  all I want to know is the TRUTH.” I knew in my heart that the Bible was the word of TRUTH, even though I had never previously owned a Bible of my own before and never heard or read those words for myself from the word of God. I just somehow knew in my heart that the Bible was the word of truth.
It was then that I began to read the Bible from cover to cover. Well to make a long story short God led me to the scripture that was keeping me from trusting Him fully. He showed me the TRUTH that I was seeking, even though I did not know at the time that I was seeking this particular truth. And this is the truth God showed me that day, which set me free to truly trust him in all areas of my life, and that TRUTH is that God never intended for there to be divisions or different denominations in the church. From that point on it was like a light was turned on inside of me and God began revealing many things to me from his word. And even though the reason I prayed that prayed to know the truth was because I could not understand all the divisions and fighting in the church.
But the thing is that even today, some thirty years later God is still honoring and answering that prayer of my desire to know the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH, and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH.

Now this brings us to the question or questions, “Is the teaching of the deity of Jesus, that Jesus is God, being FULLY God, as in, Jesus being fully THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God in the days of his FLESH while at the same time being fully human have TWO natures, one divine and the other human?
And also Is the doctrine of the trinity that there are three persons or three beings in one God, where these three different persons are co eternal and co equal with each other. and co eternal meaning that each of these three persons have always existed without beginning or ending. And co equal meaning that each person is equal in every way where non is less than nor great than the other.
So the the purpose of this study in God word of truth is to see if either of these teachings are SOUND BIBLICAL teaching having NO contradictions to ANY part of God 's word. In other words, “Are these Orthodox widely accepted church DOCTRINES the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of God, or do these teachings only contain a portion of what is true, but in fact are man-made doctrines of men that contain errors of interpretation of the scriptures?”

Let us take a CLOSE look at the word of God and let the scriptures interpret the scriptures. In other words, let God’s word be the SOLE foundation on which we base our beliefs.
Now as many of you already know the word “trinity” is not found in the Bible, however the plurality and the unity between Almighty God, the Father, and his Son, Jesus certainly SEEN in the Bible. In other words, there is definitely a distinction made between Almighty God the Father and his Son Jesus, but yet they are united and work together as one, and the same unity is also seen with the Holy Spirit of Almighty God and the Father where to ME I myself see that the Holy Spirit IS the Father, as in, ONE and the SELF SAME divine eternal Spirit and not simply UNITED in agreement as one. Please read the study THE HOLY SPIRIT I THE FATHER ! for all the scriptures that to ME prove without a doubt that God the Father is the ONE eternal Spirit.

But for now here are some examples of what I mean but some verses that SEEM to teach us that God is plural and thus it is INTERPRETED by some to mean that God is a triune or trinity God. We read in the Old Testament in Genesis 1:26,

“And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness:…”.

Now if one focuses only on this one scripture without any knowledge of the rest of the word of God it would seem relatively clear and certain that God is more than one and that there is unity and agreement, because of the plural pronoun “US” that is being used.

But is this what the WHOLE word of God teaches us? Is god indeed a trinity God or have some read into these verses their own person interpretation dogmatically demanding that there is NO other way to interpret these verses that SEEM to IMPLY that God is plural, but yet just ONE God.
Here are a few more verses of scripture that also show this plurality.

Genesis 3:22 says,

“And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of US, to know good and evil:…”

Genesis 11:7,8a reads,

“Go to, let US go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the Lord scattered them…”

Please read Genesis 18: 1-33, which is the entire passage, but I am only going to focus on the verses that imply the plurality of God. (Verses 1-4,17,33)

“And the Lord appeared unto him (Abraham) in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, THREE men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet THEM from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground. And said MY LORD, If now I have found favor in your sight, pass not away, I pray you, from your servant: Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest YOURSELVES under the tree.….(verse 17) “And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;…?

Then in the following verses we read the discussion between God and Abraham about the destruction of Sodom, which is believed by some to be Jesus appearing to Abraham, because elsewhere in the word of God we are taught that NO man has ever seen Almighty God the Father. (verse 33)

“ And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.”

Then in Isaiah 6:3 we see THREE times that the word HOLY is spoken, which some say represents ONE HOLY for each person of the trinity.

“And one cried HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.”

Looking at Genesis 18:1-33 I want you to notice that there are THREE men standing before Abraham and the word says that the LORD appeared unto him, then Abraham says to THEM rest YOURSELVES.
Now if one focuses on this scripture and combines it with the other scriptures that are mentioned above, then it could certainly seem to imply that God is a plural trinity God of three persons being in unity, BUT the the Bible ALSO teaches that there is but ONE God.
So then, the age long question of HOW do we reconcile what seems to be THREE different persons where Abraham SEEMS to be calling them ALL Yahweh, but HOW can this be clearly seeing that other verse teach us that there is but ONE Yahweh?
Thus some Christians have tried to reconcile what seems to be a contradiction in God's word by "theorizing" that God is three persons in ONE God. This group of Christians have been come to be called "trinitarians".
While some other Christians have tried to reconcile what seems to be a contradiction in God's word by "theorizing" that God is ONE and merely "manifests" himself as the Son and the Holy Spirit. This group of Christians have come to be called "oneness" believers.
Now among "oneness" believers there are many distinctions of what each group means by the term "oneness". There are Oneness Pentecostal, Unitarians, Universal Unitarians, Biblical Unitarians, and then there is ME, where I myself do NOT pin any church denominational name upon myself. I say ME, but I actually mean that there are MANY many other Christians like myself who are called by others as being a Unitarian and even a Biblical Unitarian, because we do NOT see that the Bible itself teaches us that Jesus is one and the self same being as Yahweh in the days of his FLESH.
But rather WE believe that the Bible clearly teaches us that there is but ONE God who is Yahweh, the Father ALONE and that Yahweh brought into existence his Son Jesus whom The Father highly exalted to BECOME a God or deity to rule and reign on his God and Father's throne for a 1000 years. Stay with me and I will show you all the scriptures that clearly teach what I just said to you.
Now I do not cover every single verse in every single study and this is why I give my readers links to other studies that I have where those studies focus on other verses in depth that are only mentioned and may not be mentioned at all in other studies.
I say this because I have been accused of NOT giving any scripture to prove what I teach and I am thinking to myself that I personally do not know any one who give more scripture than me to support what they are teaching. And very few Bible teachers go into detail explaining this verse that they give only as references like see Genesis 8:1-4,17 and leave it to you to look up on your own and read. Some at times do quote a few verses, but mots always never quote the CONTEXT.
Now at times I myself do not always quote the entire context, because I want to focus specifically on the verses that triniatarians and oneness believers use to TRY and prove that Jesus is Yahweh HIMSELF before Yahweh became flesh, DURING the days of the FLESH where Yahweh's spoken word became flesh and after Jesus the SON OF the living God was highly exalted to become a God beside Yahweh the Father.
With that being stated please allow me to now teach you HOW I came to believe what I now teach.

Now if the word THREE men in Genesis 8:1-33 are compared to actually being Almighty God, the Father, Jesus, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit, and joined with Isaiah 6:3, where we see THREE times the word "HOLY" is said together, then one could assume or INTERPRET that these THREE words, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY are meant to show that Almighty God, the Father is HOLY, that Jesus, the Son of God is HOLY, and that the Spirit of God is HOLY, and thus imply or reason that God is THREE persons, but yet one God.

So this brings us to the question, “Is Jesus God, as in, ONE and the SAME being with Almighty God, Yahweh, with all power, being all knowing, and being omnipresent, that is to say present everywhere at the same time; OR, is Jesus the SON OF God, in that, Jesus is UNDER Almighty God, that is say, is Jesus SUBJECT to his God and Father and was, is, and always will be under and subject to the supreme authority of Almighty God, the Father.
If so, then another question is raised, did Jesus have a beginning, in that, he is born OF God, OR, is Jesus without beginning and has always been an eternal being the same as Almighty God, the Father, who was ALWAYS WITH the Father at his side, as many of us have been taught by the DOCTRINE of the trinity and the DOCTRINE of the deity of Jesus?

Now some would say that there is NO difference in being God or being God’s SON, because Jesus would have the same nature as the Father, which nature is DIVINE.
But what does the Bible ITSELF teach us?
You see, some things may SEEM to be true, but they may not always be the truth of the WHOLE TRUTH.
The Bible itself tells us that there are many that are called gods, but to US, as Christians, there is only ONE GOD.
Please read 1 Corinthians 8:4-7.

"As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, WE (as Christians) know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but ONE
5.  For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6.  But to US there is but ONE God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
7.  Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled."

Now some Christians focus on this one verse and interpret ALL other Gods as being idols and false gods completely ignoring that the very disciples of Jesus always clearly identified the ONE God to us as Christians as being the FATHER and our one Lord and being Jesus the Christ the SON OF the ONE God and Father OF Jesus.

Also some Christians, who teach the doctrine of the trinity, have argued saying, “Well that is just ONE verse and does not prove that Jesus is not Almighty God.”

When I read this argument I thought to myself, What Bible are they reading anyway to say that this is the ONLY verse in the Bible that clearly identifies the FATHER as being the ONE God.

Jesus himself calls the Father HIS God in John 20:17, which says,

“Jesus said unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to MY God, and your God.

So then OUR God is the GOD OF Jesus. The writers of the New Testament in most every book of the New Testament clearly identify the FATHER as being God and only ONE time in the entire New Testament is the Son ever said to be God, which is in Hebrews chapter 1 as we have already learned is speaking of Jesus as being a God UNDER HIS God and Father that the whole word of God clearly identifies as being THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the FATHER.

              Acts 2:33

“ Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received OF the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he has shed forth this, which you now see and hear.”

             Romans 1:7

“To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God ourFATHERAND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. Now some ONENESS believers may INTERPRET this verse to wrongly teach that Jesus IS the FATHER, but that does not make it so just because some church denomination INCORRECTLY interprets verse in the Bible. We must interpret each verse in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of God. And the next verse clearly teaches us that Jesus is NOT the FATHER, but rather that God is the Father OF Jesus.

             Romans 15:6

“That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, EVEN the FATHER OF our Lord Jesus Christ.

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being clearly identified as being our Lord and CHRIST.

              1 Corinthians 1:3

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God ourFATHERAND from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being the Lord and the Christ.

              1 Corinthians 15:24

“Then comes the end, when he (Jesus the SON OF Almighty God the FATHER) shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, EVEN the Father; when he (the Father)shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being the SON OF God, who is our Lord and CHRIST.

               2 Corinthians 1:2

“Grace be to you and peace from God ourFATHERAND from the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being the Lord Jesus Christ.

           2 Corinthians 1:3

“Blessed be God, EVEN the Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;”

Again God is clearly identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. Almighty God the FATHER is being identified as the Father OF our Lord Jesus the CHRIST along with being identified as the Father of mercies and also as the God of all comfort.

             2 Corinthians 11:31

“The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knows that I lie not.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

             Galatians 1:1

“Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, AND God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)”

              Galatians 1:3

“Grace be to you and peace from God the FatherAND from our Lord Jesus Christ,

Again God is clearly identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

               Galatians 1:4

“Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the WILL OF God and our Father:”

                Ephesians 1:2

“Grace be to you, and peace, from God ourFatherAND from the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. Also for the "oneness" believers all through these verses we clearly see TWO different beings. The words FROM God our Father AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ cannot be interpreted to mean ONE being. Clearly the Bible ITSELF teaches us that we MUST believe in BOTH the Father AND the SON.

              Ephesians 1:3

“Blessed be the God AND Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. In this verse we ALSO see the writer of Ephesians identifying the Father OF Jesus as being the GOD OF Jesus as well. So then, the ALMIGHTY is BOTH God AND Father OF Jesus.

               Ephesians 1:17

“That THE God OF our Lord Jesus Christ, theFather of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:”

The subject of this verse is THE God OF Jesus, speaking of Almighty God the FATHER, as being the Father of glory, who gives us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

                Ephesians 4:6

“ONE God and FATHER of ALL, who is ABOVE ALL, and through all, and in you all.”

In this verse the writer of the book of Ephesians clearly and plainly identifies the ALMIGHTY the God, who is ABOVE ALL as being the ONE God called the FATHER.

             Ephesians 5:20

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”

Again God is clearly identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

              Ephesians 6:23

“Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

              Philippians 1:2

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God ourFatherAND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

               Philippians 2:11

“And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LordTO the glory OF God the Father.”

In this verse the writer teaches us that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and NOT that confess that Jesus is THE ALMIGHTY YAHWEH HIMSELF. So once again THE ALMIGHTY God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST. Also notice that it is TO the GLORY OF the FATHER that every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord.

               Philippians 4:20

“Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

In this verse we see only the FATHER as being God.

              Colossians 1:2

“To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

              Colossians 1:3

“We give thanks to God and the Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,”

Again this verse is saying that God is the GOD OF Jesus and the FATHER OF Jesus, which agrees with the rest of God's word.

          1 Thessalonians 1:1

“Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the FatherAND in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

              1 Thessalonians 1:3

“Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

              1 Thessalonians 3:11

“Now God HIMSELF and our FatherAND our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.”

Here in this verse we see the writer clearly identifying the ONE true God HIMSELF as being the FATHER and again identifying Jesus as being both Lord and CHRIST.

             1 Thessalonians 3:13

“To the end he may establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, EVEN our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”

Again God is clearly identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

              2 Thessalonians 1:1

“Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ:”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

              2 Thessalonians 1:2

“Grace unto you, and peace, from God our FatherAND the Lord Jesus Christ.

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

               2 Thessalonians 2:16

“Now our Lord Jesus Christ HIMSELF, AND God,EVEN our Father, which has loved us, and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,”

In this verse the writer seems to go out of his way to clearly identify Jesus HIMSELF as being Lord and Christ and EVEN the FATHER as being the Almighty God.

             1 Timothy 1:2

“Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father AND Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Once again our Lord is identified as being Jesus Christ and our God as being clearly identified as the FATHER.

              2 Timothy 1:2

“To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

              Titus 1:4

“To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

              Philemon 1:3

“Grace to you, and peace, from God our FatherAND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

               James 1:27

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

               James 3:9

“Therewith bless we God, EVEN the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.”

In this verse like 1 Corinthians 8:6 the writer EMPHASIZES God being SOLELY identified as being the FATHER ALONE that he says EVEN the FATHER.

              1 Peter 1:2

“Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.”

             1 Peter 1:3

“Blessed be the God AND Father OF our LordJesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”

Here again the Almighty is being clearly identified as the God OFJesus as well as  the Father OF Jesus. And Jesus is identified as Lord and Christ.

             2 Peter 1:17

“For he (Jesus the SON OF Almighty God the FATHER)received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved SON, in whom I am well pleased.”

              1 John 3:1

Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.

              2 John 1:3

“Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from Godthe FatherAND from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.”

Again God is clearly identified as being the FATHER and Jesus as being Lord and CHRIST.

              2 John 1:9

“Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has BOTH the Father AND the Son.

In this verse we clearly see that we must without fail believe in BOTH Almighty God the Father AND in his SON Jesus. Now to ME, if so be that the word of God truly taught the doctrine of the trinity, then this verse would have been the ideal place to ADD the Holy Spirit and clearly teach us that we must believe in all THREE rather than believing in only BOTH the Father and the Son. Please read the study called THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A PERSON! and the study THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE FATHER! for a deeper understanding that in truth the Bible only speaks of TWO different persons and NOT three different persons as the doctrine of the trinity dogmatically demands there to be THREE person in one divine being called the ALMIGHTY God.

             Jude 1:1

“Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father,AND preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:”

Again the FATHER is identified as being God.

             Revelation 1:6

“And has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

In the four gospels Jesus HIMSELF identifies the one TRUE God and being the FATHER. Please read John 17:3 where Jesus is praying to his God and Father the ONE TRUE and ONLY Almighty God.

“And this is life eternal, that they might know YOU the ONLY TRUE GodAND Jesus Christ, whom YOU have sent.

In other words, Jesus is praying TO his God and Father for us to know the FATHER as being the ONE TRUE God, AND also to know That Jesus was SENT of COMMISSION BY the ONE TRUE God. The literal meaning of SENT is COMMISSIONED, which means that God gave his Son power and authority to accomplish the task of doing all his God and Father's WILL.

In 1 John 4:9-15 we can see in verse 9 that God sent or COMMISSIONED his only begotten SON and in verse 14 we can see that the FATHER sent his SON which again clearly shows us that God is the FATHER.

             1 John 4:9-15.

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God SENT his only begotten SON into the world, that we might live through him.

          10. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

          11. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

          12. No man has seen God at any time(and clearly many men have indeed seen Jesus) If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us.

          13. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. (Here we know that God and his Spirit are one and the same eternal divine being.)

          14. And we have seen and do testify that the FatherSENT the Son to be the Savior of the world. (again the word SENT means COMMISSIONED)

          15. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the SON OF God, God dwells in him, and he in God.”

Please notice that nowhere in the word of God are we ever clearly and plainly taught that we must believe that Jesus IS the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God YAHWEH HIMSELF, but we are clearly and plainly taught that we are to believe and CONFESS that Jesus is the SON OF Almighty God the Father, who SENT his SON out into the world to be the atonement for our sins.

So the ONLY book in the New Testament that does not clearly and plainly identify the one true and only Almighty God as being the FATHER is 3 John, which does not even mention either God or his Son Jesus. But the same writer also wrote 1st and 2nd John which does clearly identify the FATHER as being GOD.

Now that we have clearly established that the word of TRUTH, the Holy Bible, clearly and plainly identifies ONLY the FATHER as being God and the God OF his SON Jesus the Christ we can now clearly establish that the GODHEAD is speaking ONLY of Almighty God the FATHER ALONE and NOT three persons in the Godhead.

             Acts 17:28, 29

“For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also HIS offspring.

          29. For as much then as we are the offspring of God(speaking of Almighty God the FATHER as we have just learned in this study in God's word) we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.”

The word “Godhead” refers back to the word God, who we KNOW is speaking of the FATHER alone and NOT the SON OF Almighty God the Father. The writer is merely pointing out that we are never to think of God or the Godhead, the SUPREME DIVINE being as some sculpture, artwork, or image made of stone, wood, gold or silver. And when you read the CONTEXT where Paul is teaching the pagans in Athens that their UNKNOWN GOD is the God of the Bible you will find the SINGULAR use of HIS offspring and not THEIR offspring in Acts 17:28. Trinitarians like to use the PLURAL of Elohim in Genesis where God say let US make man in OUR image, but then they do NOT point out the SINGULAR use of God an HE made man in HIS own image. Please read the study "GENESIS 1:26 LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE!"

Now let us take a look at Romans 1:20, which teaches us that all created things are made from the UNSEEN or from that which is  INVISIBLE, which is SPIRIT or Almighty God HIMSELF, because God IS SPIRIT an INVISIBLE.

“For the invisible things OF him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are MADE (in other words, what was ONCE or at one time was INVISIBLE was CREATED or made to BE visible or material tangible things of creation that were created FROM and BY the eternal INVISIBLE God or Godhead speaking of the FATHER of ALL), even HIS (SINGULAR) eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

The spoken WORD or SAYING of God was MADE flesh and dwelt among us to SHOW or give to us the UNDERSTANDING of the eternal power of the GODHEAD. God MANIFESTED HIMSELF, his true character of LOVE and mercy by becoming or being MADE FLESH. Please read the study "WHAT DOES GOD INCARNATE MEAN?"

Another verse that helps interpret this verse and the Godhead is Hebrews 11:3 that clearly teaches us that the material things of creation were made or created from that which is NOT SEEN or from the INVISIBLE.

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God (speaking of the SPOKEN word of YAHWEH the FATHER of ALL), so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

In other words, the things that are SEEN were NOT made from that which is SEEN, but rather all creation came out from the INVISIBLE divine supreme being, which the word of TRUTH, the Holy Bible always clearly and plainly identifies as being the FATHER alone. The literal translation of Romans 1:20-25 has the article “THE” clearly identifying God as THE God, which always speaks of THE ALMIGHTY God, who alone is the FATHER as being the CREATOR alone. ALL things that were created COME OUT FROM the MOUTH of God SPEAKING them INTO existence where they never existed before EXCEPT WITH THE God as the IMAGE he desired to bring forth into existence. Please read the study called EPHESIANS 3:9-11 DID JESUS CREATE ALL THINGS?

The third and only other time we see the word “Godhead” in the Bible is found in Colossians 2:9 where we are clearly and plainly taught that the fullness OF the Godhead DWELT IN the SON OF Almighty God as opposed to Jesus actually BEING the fullness of the Godhead HIMSELF being fully one and the self same being as THE ALMIGHTY God YAHWEH in the flesh and fully a man at the same time. No where in the Bible ITSELF will you find Jesus being called the SECOND person of the Godhead.

              Colossians 2:9

“For IN him DWELLS all the fulness OF the Godhead bodily.”

This is what the doctrine of CHRIST means. The whole word of God clearly and plainly teaches us that Almighty God the Father, the sole divine supreme being creator of all DWELT IN his Son Jesus to EMPOWER his Son to do all the will of his God and Father the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the FATHER of ALL.

Please read the following studies to give all the sound Biblical evidence proving beyond any shadow of a doubt that Jesus did indeed come our from the FATHER of ALL leaving behind all the divine nature of the spoken word to become FULLY a human being who was then FILLED with the FULLNESS of the ONE TRUE divine supreme being, who alone is the FATHER.

Here are is an example of something being true, but where it is not THE WHOLE TRUTH when incorrectly INTERPRETED.

The word of God says that God has reconciled the WHOLE world unto himself, which means that in Gods eyes the WHOLE world or ALL of mankind is saved, that is to say, the WHOLE world is reconciled to the Father in that the one and only sacrifice for the redemption of mankind has been offered by God once and for all time.

In other words, the sacrifice for the sins of all of mankind has already been paid. This is true for God’s word is truth, yet ALL men are not saved, which is also a TRUE statement. But neither statement is THE WHOLE TRUTH, God’s TRUTH, that is to say the WHOLE truth of the WHOLE word of God.
The TRUTH is that all of mankind has been reconciled to God, in that, God's part is complete or finished, in that, he has already provide his Lamb, our Lord Jesus Christ, as the all sufficient sacrifice, but there is MORE that is needed in order for a person to OBTAIN this so great a salvation. You see, each and every human being over the age of accountability has to come to this knowledge of the truth and receive this truth in their heart and confess it to the end of their salvation.
Also another example is that you may be sick and it may TRUE that all the symptoms of sickness are present, but the TRUTH is that by the stripes of Jesus you are healed. In God’s eyes you are already healed. In other words, the price, or provision for our healing has already been settled, and it is now up to each of us to come to the knowledge of this truth and confess it to the end of our salvation, that is to say, to the end of our receiving healing in our bodies. Are you seeing the difference between what is true and what is TRUTH?

My question to you is are you truly desiring to know the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH, and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH, God’s pure and undefiled word. Because what I have to say in this study may rock your boat, so to speak. It may directly oppose some of what you have been taught, of which, portions may be true, but yet what many of us have learned in the mainstream church as a whole may not the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of God.

Now in order to know the TRUTH we must let scripture interpret scripture, which simply means that in order to understand and know what a particular verse of scripture is saying we need to leave it in the context of where it is found. In other words, we need to read several verses before and after the verse that is in question. Also we need to COMPARE what we think this verse may be saying with the rest of the word of God to see if there is any contradictions. And if there is any contradiction, even just one contradiction, then the meaning we have concluded is not the TRUTH. It may be true in a sense, but it is NOT the TRUTH as a whole. And therefore it must be laid aside as false doctrine, tradition, or as the commandments of men.

So then, back to the question does Jesus being the SON OF Almighty God make Jesus to BE ALMIGHTY God? It is clear to us that in the natural that when a father has a son that the son is clearly a HUMAN BEING, having a human NATURE. But it is ALSO perfectly clear to our understanding that the SON is NOT the father and the father is clearly NOT the son. Now again they are both OF the same nature, that is to say they are both human beings or human in NATURE.
However they are still two distinct persons. They may possess or have some of the SAME qualities or characteristics, but they are not ONE and the SAME being, nor can they be made to be one and the same person. They are and always will be TWO DISTINCT and different persons.
Of course there is no doubt that the two can be in AGREEMENT and in UNITY, but again TWO separate persons being one in agreement does not make them to be ONE and the SAME being. Let me say this again. A human father and son are the same, ONLY in that they are of the same nature, that is to say, they are the same in like fashion as a human father having a human son where both are human in NATURE, but being of this same nature does not mean that they are ONE and the SAME person or being. They are and always will be two different people, or two different beings, one is the father and the other one is his son. Yes a father of his own son can be a son of HIS father, being both a father of a son and a son of his father at the same time, but this does not make any son and his father to be one and the self same human being. Both have the same human nature, but they cannot ever be the same human being.
Now because we understand that it is this way in the NATURAL we automatically ASSUME that it must without fail be this way in the SPIRITUAL as well, so therefore many dogmatically teach ONE is Almighty God the FATHER and the other is Jesus, the SON of Almighty God the Father, but yet BOTH are ALMIGHTY God, because just as a human begets a human so it MUST be that the DIVINE can only beget that which is DIVINE.
We will examine this more closely later on in this study to see if this line of reasoning conforms to the WHOLE word of Almighty God, but for now let us establish what many of us already know to be the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of God.

Clearly and plainly the word of God teaches us in many places that Jesus is God’s SON, and that Jesus is NOT the Father, which then makes it clearly understood to us that Almighty God, the Father is NOT the SON. In other words, Jesus is NOT Almighty God, the FATHER, but rather Jesus is the SON OF Almighty God, the FATHER and under his God and Father’s authority. This is WHAT the word "ALMIGHTY" means. Almighty God the FATHER is the MOST HIGH God who is over ALL, INCLUDING  being THE God OF his SON, Jesus.
Now Jesus or more precisely it was the "WORD", the logos or spoken SAYING of God that BECAME flesh that was with God in the beginning that had the SAME NATURE as Almighty God, which is the divine nature of having LIFE in itself. But the spoken WORD having LIFE in itself being the living word of God having the same NATURE as Almighty God does NOT make Jesus to be ONE and the SAME being as his God and Father, who ALONE is ALMIGHTY GOD.
Please remember that the Word was MADE to BECOME flesh. Also please remember that the Bible itself teaches us that Jesus or again more precisely the "Word" laid ASIDE his divine nature and BECAME a HUMAN BEING like as we are. Please read the study "PHILIPPIANS 2:6-A TRINITARIAN DILEMMA!", which clearly teaches us that HE speaking of Yahweh laid aside all of is DIVINE NATURE to take on the NATURE of humans when he spoke his SON into existence.
Now Jesus can be and for a surety Jesus is one WITH God, meaning that Jesus is in full agreement and unity with Almighty God. But nowhere do I see is God's word that Jesus is one and the SAME BEING as Almighty God the FATHER or having the same NATURE as his God and Father during the days of his FLESH. Some have asked me where the Bible says the days if his FLESH.
         Please read Hebrews 5:7.

"Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;"

Just briefly with the scripture in the OTHER studies I have written here is what I have come to believe by using the Bible alone with the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit.
I believe that in the beginning God was alone with only his thoughts within himself. God the created all things ALONE and by himself before mankind was ever created. Before God created anything there was NO one WITH God at his side. God then set up some of his creation to be Elohim or Gods over different parts of his kingdom and one such God set up to be a God over the earth BEFORE mankind was created was Lucifer. Then one day Lucifer was lifted up with pride and rebelled against God and drew one third of the angle to side with him. This was not just a mere sin, but rather and all but WAR to take over God's throne. God and his remaining faithful angels subdued Lucifer and his angels and was ready to destroy them all right there on the spot, but Lucifer BLAMED God for CREATING him with a sinful rebellious nature so God had no right to destroy him.
So God, or Elohim said to his Elohim in Genesis 1:26,27,
"And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27.  So God created man in HIS own image, in the image of God created HE him; male and female created he them."

God created this new species of being a little LOWER that the ANGELS because he wanted ALL his superior creation of Angels that an INFERIOR species of being could live without sin and thus prove for all time that God did NOT create Lucifer with a sinful rebellious nature and is just to destroy any of his creation who rebels against him. And for our suffering in the present world WE who over come like Jesus over came will rule and reign with Jesus and shall judge the fallen angels.
Now all God needed was ONE man created lower than the angels to not sin, but why settle this issue with just one man? Jesus is the first born of MANY brethren and we who overcome the enemy shall be like Jesus is now for we shall see him as he is in all hi glory of the Father. We will be ONE with Jesus even as HE is ONE with the Father.
So then God needed a MAN and in the days that Yahweh's spoken word became FLESH and given the NAME Jesus that MAN Jesus was 100% a human being having ZERO % divine nature. during the days of his FLESH. Jesus was ANOINTED of God, which means that the eternal Spirit or the fullness of the Godhead DWELT IN Jesus to empower him to do all that men saw Jesus do.
Then AFTER Jesus became obedient to do all his God and Father's will even to suffer and die a cruel death being crucified on the cross for the sins of mankind, his God and Father HIGHLY EXALTED the Son of MAN to BECOME the SON OF God and become a God under Yahweh to rule and reign FOR the father during the world to come for a 1000 years. After the seventh 1000 year long day of Yahweh's REST Jesus will commit the kingdom back into his God and Father's hand. God himself will then create a New heaven and a New earth and the New Jerusalem will come down and Yahweh himself will dwell with his NEW creation where evil shall never exist again in the ages to come.
Please read the study "WHAT DOES GOD INCARNATE MEAN?" for all the verses that prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that Yahweh HIMSELF became FLESH by his SPOKEN word and NOT that God the SON became flesh and REMAINED fully God at the same time having TWO natures.

So again, EVEN IF Jesus had the same "nature" as Yahweh the Almighty God the Father does NOT mean that Jesus is Yahweh himself, being FULLY Almighty God in the flesh, or EQUAL with Almighty God in every way. The TRUTH of the matter is that Jesus is under his God and Father, or in other words, Jesus is subject unto God the Father and under the supreme authority of his God and Father, who is THE ALMIGHTY, the one true and ONLY MOST HIGH God. The Bible clearly tells us that the Father is greater than his Son Jesus and that Almighty God, the Father has authority over Jesus.
Now to ME it should seem logical to all that Jesus is not ONE and the SAME being as Yahweh the Almighty God, the Father, for the simple fact that it is illogical for God to pray to himself. Also simple logic tell me that every time any verse is used to try and prove that Jesus is God, as in, Jesus is Yahweh himself are in reality saying that Jesus IS the FATHER, because as we have already seen by many, many verses above that the very disciples of Jesus ALWAYS clearly identified the ONE God as being the FATHER.

This study on the deity of Jesus began with me when I saw in the word of God that Jesus needed to be FULLY and TOTALLY MAN in every respect just like you and me or else the sacrifice he made for us world not be binding.
You see, the word of God tells us Jesus was tempted in ALL points just like you and I, yet without sin. However, IF Jesus was FULLY God and FULLY man at the same time or in other words IF Jesus IS God as some teach, then Jesus could NOT be tempted as we are tempted, because the word of God CLEARLY states that God cannot be tempted with evil
The word of God clearly shows that Jesus is the SON of God, and that the WORD became the Son of man. Please refer to my study on “JESUS THE SON OF MAN” for an in depth understanding on this subject of Jesus being the Son of MAN.

But even after I became fully rooted in God's word that Jesus was the Son of MAN being fully a human being I would hear sermons on the trinity and wonder how could this be. It was like one day I would be fully convinced by those sermons that God is three persons in one, and yet other days I would read from the word of God something that would directly oppose the teaching of the DOCTRINE of the trinity and the DOCTRINE of the deity of Jesus teaching that there is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, who are EQUAL in every way, where none is less than or greater than the other, and yet still there is only one God and then I would once again became confused.
So, as before, as i did when I first became a true born again believer, I set out to KNOW the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH, and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH not caring who was right or who was wrong by asking God for MYSELF. And here is what I found by reading his WORD laying aside what man was teaching me.

First I will list the scriptures that I was taught or shown, which are used to try and prove that Jesus is God, FULLY God and yet FULLY man at the SAME time. These verses of scripture are then followed up with a statement, argument or line of reasoning that is used by those that teach that Jesus is God, in order to try and show that Jesus is FULLY God and FULLY man at the SAME time. Then after I have listed all the scriptures and the REASONING that is used to try and support that Jesus is God, as in, Jesus is Yahweh himself, then we will examine each of these scriptures in the context of where it is found in order to show the true meaning of each verse.
Again with some of these verse I have a more in depth study specifically on that verse and in this study I may not give you all the scriptures to support what I say. At times I may the assumption that if so be the verse do not come to your remembrance by the Holy Spirit as you read what I teach, then you can do a simply word search using a King James based concordance.
For example above I simply stated as a fact that the father was GREATER than Jesus, but I did not give you any scripture to prove this to you. Rather I assume you already know from God's word that the Father is greater than Jesus. Now if you do not recall the exact verse I assume that you are capable of doing a word search on your own and look the words "Father is greater" for yourself. Unless I write a huge book I cannot possible cover every single verse in every single study.
With that being said here is the list of verse that I myself have found that other Christians us to try and prove that Jesus was Yahweh himself DURING the days of his FLESH while Jesus was on the earth as the Son of MAN born of a woman, the virgin Mary and ANOINTED at his baptism to be commissioned by God or SENT by the Father out into the world to accomplish the task his God and father gave Jesus to do.

Hebrews 1:8

“But unto the Son he says, your throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.”

Now the argument or reasoning of what this verse means by those that teach that Jesus is God is as follows:

Reasoning #1:

Please notice that the word "God" here is capitalized, so therefore it is referring to Almighty God and not that Jesus is "a god" with a lower case "g". Therefore according to the doctrine of the deity of Jesus it is taught the word of God teaches that Jesus IS fully God, in that, Jesus is fully Almighty God in the flesh and fully a human being at the same time having both a divine nature and a human nature at the same time.

John 1:1

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Reasoning #2:

This scripture clearly shows that the Word, which we know is referring to Jesus, is God. Therefore since Jesus is the word and the word is God, then Jesus IS God. So since the Bible teaches that Jesus is the Word and the Word was God, then Jesus IS God.

John 20:28

“And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”

 Reasoning #3:

Thomas was one of Jesus’ own disciple that Jesus had personally chosen, and Thomas himself called Jesus God, when he said, My Lord AND my God. Therefore Jesus IS God, because one of Jesus' very own disciples called him God.

I John 5:20

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”

 Reasoning #4:

This scripture shows that Jesus Christ is the true God and eternal life, because it says that we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life, meaning Jesus Christ IS the true God.

Titus 2:13

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;”

Reasoning #5:

The Bible teaches that Jesus is our Savior and that Jesus is coming again, which is sometime referred to as the APPEARING of Jesus. Therefore from this scripture one can plainly see that Jesus IS the great God and our Savior who will come again or appear at his coming.

Then sometimes scriptures are combined together to show that Jesus IS God.

Look at Philippians 2:5-10

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in the fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even death of the cross. Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Now compare this verse along side of Isaiah 45:21-23

“Tell you and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I the Lord? And there is no God beside me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me. Look unto me and be you saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”

 Reasoning #6:

The first scripture shows us that every knee should bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord. Now compare this scripture in the New Testament that we know without a doubt is speaking of Jesus a long side the scripture that is in the Old Testament where Almighty God said that he was God and that there is NO God beside him, and that every knee should bow before him and every tongue shall swear that he is God. Now notice that both scriptures say that every knee shall bow and in one passage it is clearly referring to Jesus and in the other passage it is clearly referring to Almighty God. Therefore Jesus IS Almighty God.

Another example of combining two scriptures to try and prove a point is John 8:58 which says,

“Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”

Now compare this verse along side Exodus 3:14 that reads,

“And God said unto Moses, I am that I am: and he said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, I am has sent me unto you.”

Reasoning #7:

God referred to himself as being I AM and Jesus also said I AM, therefore Jesus IS God.

Now these are most of the scriptures that SEEM to say or show that Jesus IS God. And if one were to focus on these scriptures ALONE and apart from the WHOLE word of God, then it is certain that they could be interpreted in a way that they actually do SEEM to IMPLY that Jesus IS God and that God is a trinity or that there are three persons in God and yet God is still one God.
However, this is not the case as you will see if you truly desire to know the TRUTH. We will look closely at each one of these scriptures, but first here are a few more verses that IMPLY that God is three in one.

Matthew 28:19

“Go you therefore, and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Mark 1: 10,11

“And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: and there came a voice from heaven, you are my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.

The point that is made by those who teach the trinity is that throughout the New Testament one will see the three persons of God, Almighty God, the Father, Jesus, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit working together in unity. Therefore “tri” meaning three plus their “unity” equals the trinity (tri+unity or trinity).

Now for a surety I will whole heartily agree that there is without a doubt unity between Almighty God the Father, God’s only begotten SON Jesus Christ our Lord, and the Holy Spirit of the one and only true God.

However, this unity and the fact that there are three do not prove that Jesus IS Almighty God and that all three persons are co-equal or that they are ONE and the SAME being.
So why twist the scriptures to teach that which is simply not the TRUTH? Why not just teach what the word of God plainly says?
And that being; that Jesus is God’s SON, his only begotten son. Why not simply teach that the Word was made flesh, and became the Son of man, fully, totally and completely man.
And that this WORD was with Almighty God the Father from that beginning before the foundations of the world.
And that Jesus, that is to say more precisely, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us to bear witness of his God and Father the only true God.
And that Jesus while in the days of his flesh was just as the Bible tells us, a man just like you and I.
And that Jesus was tempted in all points, being a human being, just like you and I, yet without sin.
And that Jesus did nothing in and of himself, but obeyed all that his GOD and Father told him through the power of the Holy Spirit of God. Jesus gave his life, so that through faith in him we might be redeemed and returned to our right relationship with God the Father.
And that Jesus was highly exalted of the his God and Father and has been given a name above every name by Almighty God his Father only AFTER Jesus became obedient to die on the cross.
And that Jesus is now at the right hand of the Father by his SIDE sharing the throne of his God and Father.
And that Jesus will rule and reign for a thousand years having full authority over all except his God and Father, but then will place ALL rule back into the Fathers hand and be subject unto His God and Father once again.
Now this very last statement may perhaps seem astounding to you at first, because you may have never heard anyone ever say that Jesus will one day place everything back into the Fathers hands and be subject unto God. After all this goes directly against what we have been taught that Jesus is FULLY God and at the same time FULLY man, so therefore how can God be subject unto Himself.
But yet this is clearly without a doubt what the word of God teaches, Jesus, the Son of God, will commit all rule back into the hands of his God and Father and be subject once again unto Amighty God. As I said before we will look at each scripture used to teach that Jesus is God, but first I want you read this following passage scripture and KEEP IT FOCUSED in your mind as you read all the other scriptures along with another explanation of what they truly mean.

I Corinthians 15:22-28

“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits, afterwards they that are Christ at his coming. Then comes the end, (after the 1000 years reign) when he (Jesus) shall have delivered up the kingdom to GOD, even the FATHER; when he (God the Father) shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he (Jesus) must reign, till he (God the Father) has put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he (God the Father) has put all things under his (Jesus’) feet. BUT when he (God the Father) says all things are put under him, (Jesus) it is manifest (or it is made known and understood) that he (God the Father) is excepted, (the exception) which did put all things under him (Jesus). And when all things shall be subdued unto him, (God the Father) then shall the SON ALSO HIMSELF be SUBJECT under him, (God the Father) that GOD (speaking of Almighty God, the FATHER) may be all in all.”

From this passage of scripture we PLAINLY see that Jesus, being highly exalted of the Father will reign for a thousand years. Then after the 1000 years reign, Jesus will deliver up or put back all rule or the kingdom into the hands of his God and Father, and then will be subject under Almighty God once again. Also notice in verse 27 that in the “all things” that are under the feet of Jesus that it is to be known that Almighty God, the Father is the VERY one who put all things under Jesus, and that Almighty God, the Father is the exception who is NOT under his Son’s authority, but rather still has authority and rule over his Son, Jesus.
The word “subject” here means to be subordinate or under obedience. It is perfectly clear from this passage of scripture that Jesus is NOT Almighty God, but rather God’s Son who is always and ever shall be under his God and Father. We are told directly and clearly many, many times throughout the word of God that Jesus is God’s Son. However, nowhere in scripture are we directly and plainly told that Jesus IS Almighty God, but rather there are only some scriptures that SEEM to IMPLY that Jesus IS God by or through the REASONING of man.
If you will patiently weigh the evidence of scripture and let scripture interpret scripture, laying aside all bias and what you have been taught, and you truly want to know the TRUTH, then you will see that all the scriptures that have been used to try and prove that Jesus is FULLY God and FULLY man at the SAME time are either taken out of context or have been misinterpreted.

Let us begin with Hebrews 1:8

“But unto the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.”

Now the proof of those that teach that Jesus IS God is in the totality of the word “God” here in this verse being capitalized and therefore they reason that this verse must without fail refers to Jesus as being Almighty God. Those that teach that Jesus IS God use this line of reasoning and say, therefore since God the Father himself is saying to his Son, Your throne O God is forever, that this proves that Jesus IS God, because Almighty God the Father is calling his Son, Jesus “God”.
However, if the word “God” was not capitalized, but rather translated as “god”, then this scripture would never have been used to try and prove that Jesus IS God. The truth of the matter is the Greek word “theos”, which in this verse is rendered “God” with a capital “G” can be translated either as God or god. In other words, the word “theos” can refer to Almighty God, the one true God, or the word "theos" can refer to a lessor god or even a pagan or false god. The word “theos” is even used to refer to Satan or the devil in II Corinthians 4:4, which says,

“In whom the god (that is to say, in whom the "theos", which is the same exact Greek word used in the verse we are studying that is referring to Jesus, the "theos") of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not…”

Also this word “theos” can be used to refer to man as gods. Look at John 10:34,35, that reads,

“Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I (God the Father) said, You are gods (theos)? If he (God the Father) called them gods (theos); unto whom the word of God came, and scripture cannot be broken;”

Since the word “theos” in this verse can be translated as "god" or "God", then one can just as easily teach that man is GOD. And there are some that do teach that man is God. However this would be changing the meaning of the scriptures as a whole. Therefore since the word “theos” in Hebrews 1:8 where Almighty God calls his SON, Jesus “theos” can be translated either as "God" or "god", then this verse can no longer without a doubt be used this to try and prove that Jesus IS God, because in light of the WHOLE word of God it will become clear that this verse is mistranslated and should in fact have been translated as “But unto the Son he says, your throne, O god, is forever and ever.” Again, had this verse of scripture been correctly translated as “god”, then those who teach that Jesus IS God would never have used this scripture to try and prove that Jesus is God. Let’s continue with the next verse in question.

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Here again we find the same argument for proving that Jesus IS God, is on the basis that the word “God” is capitalized and therefore must refer to Almighty God. And as before, if the word “God” was translated as “god”, then those who teach that Jesus is God would never have used this scripture to try and prove that Jesus is God. The word "theos", which is translated as “God” or “god” simply implies one having authority, as in “God” or Almighty God having all, total or complete authority, and “god”, one who is lesser in authority than Almighty God, but nonetheless still having authority, which has been GIVEN to him by Almighty God.
This is why men are called “gods” (theos) by Almighty God, because we have been given dominion or authority over the earth by God Almighty. However, this does not mean that we are ONE and the SAME as God, or that we are equal with God. It simply means we have been given authority over the earth by Almighty God and thus became "god's" of this world. And being god's of this world, simply means we have AUTHORITY or dominion in the earth. Likewise just as God’s Son, Jesus has been GIVEN his authority by Almighty God does not make Jesus to be God or even equal with Almighty God.

Now with this in mind replace the phase “the Word was God” with the phase “the Word possesses the authority of God” in this verse of scripture. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word possesses the authority of God. The New English Version and the Revised English Version give a more correct translation this verse,

“In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and what God was the Word was.”

In other words, what God spoke (which is his Word), the Word was. For example, And God said let there be light, and light WAS. Or more precisely, light came into being. In other words, God’s thought, if you will, was light. Then God’s thought became his Word, that is to say, what God was his Word was, or the Word was God, in that God and his Word were in AGREEMENT. In other words, the Word POSSESSED the AUTHORITY of God.
Then when God’s Word was spoken "light be", then light was or came into being where it was never before. The Word WAS God, in that, what God thought, desired or willed, then God spoke what he thought, desired or willed, and it, that is, the THOUGHT or essence of what God was, God then spoke. Then this SPOKEN THOUGHT became or was brought forth as his Word, and then this Word was or this Word came into being. In other words, "it", that is to say the THOUGHT or what God WAS came into being.

This shows us that when God has spoken he will honor or will perform his word. The integrity of God assures us that what God is, his Word is. So then, the reverse of this is also true, what his Word is God is. However, some have taken this to the extreme and say that everything is God. Jesus is God, man is God, trees are God, and water is God, as in having ALL AUTHORITY and power. Yes it is true that God created all things by his Word, but this does not make them to be Almighty God.
Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the Father, but this does not mean that Jesus was saying that he was God. The Bible says that no man has seen God and also says that God is Spirit and again that God is invisible. So in truth this scripture is saying that Jesus was sent by his Father to reveal to mankind the one true God, God the Father himself, the INVISIBLE God, which NO man has ever SEEN before. In other words, Jesus came to show the nature and character of his God and Father to the world. Jesus was the express IMAGE of Almighty God.

Now, keeping John 1:1 in the context of where it is found, let us skip down to verses 2,7,8

“The SAME (the Word) was in the beginning with God”… “ The SAME (the Word or Jesus) came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, (God the Father) that all men through him (Jesus) might believe. He (Jesus or the Word) was NOT THE LIGHT, (God the Father) but was sent to bear witness of that Light (God the Father).

We read in I John 1:5 that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. Therefore if the context of this verse is telling us that the Word or Jesus is NOT the Light, it is in fact without a doubt saying that Jesus is NOT God, which is the Father. So therefore it would NOT be correct to try and force the meaning of John 1:1 that says, the Word IS God, to mean that Jesus IS God, simply because the word “theos” is incorrectly translated as “God” rather than to be correctly translated as “god”.
So then by keeping this verse in CONTEXT we can clearly see that Jesus was NOT the light, but rather came or was sent BY the light to bear witness of the TRUE LIGHT, which is Almighty God himself. Simply put Jesus was sent BY his God and Father to show us the true nature of the Father. God spoke the Word and the Word that God spoke came into being as Jesus, the son of MAN, and the Word dwelt among us as a FLESH and blood human being. Jesus or the Word of Almighty God became the Son of Man. Please read the study entitled "JESUS THE SON OF MAN" for a deeper understanding of the absolute need for Jesus to come in the FLESH as the Son of man.
The true meaning of this verse is that the Word was god, meaning "a" god, or one having authority, which was GIVEN to him by his God. In no way does this verse mean that the Word was "THE" God, as in the only true God, Almighty God, who is the Father. It is true that Jesus bears God's nature, attributes or true character, but this does not make him one and the same as Almighty God. Again the New English Version and the Revised English version more correctly translates the word “theos” as “what God was the Word was”, meaning that they were in AGREEMENT. Now let’s move on to the next verse.

John 20:28

“ And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”

Again we need to keep the scripture in the context that it is found. So let us back up to verse 17 which says,

“Jesus says unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and to your Father: and to MY GOD, and your God.”

Then Mary goes and does as Jesus told her. Later that same day Jesus appeared unto the disciples that were in a locked room, but Thomas was not there. When Thomas returned the other disciples told him that they had seen Jesus, but Thomas did not believe them and said,

“…Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

Eight days later Jesus appeared to them again and this time Thomas was with them.

“Then says he to Thomas, Reach hither your finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither your hand, and thrust it into my side: be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord AND my God.”

What had Jesus been teaching his disciples before he went to the cross to be offered as the perfect sacrifice for our sins? That those who BELIEVE on the Son have the Father and those who DO NOT BELIEVE on the Son have not the Father. Thomas was in unbelief, he did not believe Jesus appeared to the disciples and made these outrageous demands in order to believe. Then when Thomas saw Jesus and heard Jesus repeat those demands to him that he made eight days ago. Now I believe that these words which Thomas spoke and which Jesus repeated back to Thomas no doubt pierced his soul. Then Thomas obviously feeling his sin, therefore repented before his Lord (Jesus) by saying, my Lord, and Thomas ALSO repented before Almighty God the Father, which was in heaven, by adding AND my God.
Thomas knew that Jesus was NOT Almighty God the Father, but that Jesus came to reveal the Father to mankind. Was not Thomas a disciple of Jesus that sat under the teaching of Jesus? Absolutely! Thomas was a disciple of Jesus when they asked Jesus to show them the Father. Think about this. If the disciples truly believed that Jesus was Almighty God, the Father, then they would not have asked Jesus to show them plainly the Father. Jesus answered them by saying, "If you have seen me you have seen the Father". Jesus was not saying that he was the Father, but rather that the works that Jesus did showed or demonstrated the NATURE of his God and Father.

The word of God clearly teaches that there is but ONE God. Look at First Corinthians 8:6,7

“But to us there is but ONE God, the FATHER, of whom are all things, and we in him; and ONE Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”

Thomas walked and sat directly under the teachings of Jesus, how could he have not known this TRUTH of God’s word. Jesus himself said I am not yet ascended to MY GOD is this very same text or context of scripture. How could have Thomas, being with Jesus have not known that there is only ONE God, which Jesus plain taught is the FATHER. No I am sure Thomas did in fact know that Jesus was his Lord, and that his God, the only true God was in heaven and not standing before him when he cried out to Jesus with a repentant heart my Lord, then followed with a cry of forgiveness to Almighty God, the Father, by adding AND my God.
To me there is no doubt that Thomas was NOT calling Jesus his God. Others may not agree with my interpretation of this verse, but to try and force the interpretation that Thomas is calling Jesus God based upon this scripture, when this INTERPRETATION that Jesus IS God conflicts with the WHOLE word of God would be like saying that Jesus has a devil just because another scripture says that some of the Jews, which were God’s chosen people, said he had a devil. This of course would be an OBVIOUS misuse or twisting of the scripture to say that the word or God teaches that Jesus had a devil just because God's CHOSEN people said that Jesus had a devil. To me there is no difference to use the verse to try and teach that Thomas, one of Jesus' very only disciples called Jesus God.
Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in the Lord that you cannot just focus on one isolated verse of scripture to gain its meaning, and say it means something, when there are multitudes of other verses that completely CONTRADICT, what you say that it means. You have to weight ALL the EVIDENCE of the WHOLE word of God and RIGHTLY DIVIDE the word of God to come to the knowledge of the TRUTH, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but THE TRUTH.

Look at John 10:20

“And many of them said, He (Jesus) has a devil, and is mad; why hear you him.”

This verse PLAINLY says, 'He referring to Jesus HAS a DEVIL'/ So then, does Jesus have a devil? NO! Absolutely NOT! The Bible does NOT teach that Jesus has a devil, but this one verse of scripture when taken out of the context could be used to try and force a meaning that was never intended, IF you are not aware of what the rest of the word of God teaches. In the same way, when the scripture that Thomas says to Jesus, my Lord and my God is taken out of context to try and prove that Jesus IS God is forcing a meaning upon the verse that was never intended. Have you ever heard someone apologized to another and say, “My God, I am so sorry”? Now you would not say that they were calling this person God, but rather that they were repentant toward God and this other person. Thomas was repentant toward God and Jesus, which is why he said, my Lord and my God. This is why it is so vitally important to look up the scriptures for our self to see if what we are being taught is the TRUTH. Let us continue with the next verse in question.

I John 5:20

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”

Jesus came to show us and give us an understanding of the Father, that we may know him that is true, which is God the Father. We are in the Father even as we are in the Son. The Father is the true God, and Jesus is eternal life or that is to say we can ONLY attain eternal life through Jesus. Now, again keeping this verse in the context, back up to verse 11and 13

“And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life (eternal life) is IN his Son”…“These things have I written unto you that you believe on the NAME of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life…”

Acts 4:12 tells us that there is no other NAME under heaven whereby we must be saved, and in John 14:6 the word of God tells us that no man can come unto the God the Father except through Jesus. In other words, to be IN the Father you must first be IN the SON. The TRUTH of the matter is that in order to obtain eternal life in the world to come we must have BOTH the Father AND the SON.

Now look at John 17:3 which says,

“And this is life eternal, THAT THEY MAY KNOW YOU (speaking of Almighty God, the Father) THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ whom you (God the Father, the only true God) have sent.”

Jesus himself tells us here that the ONLY TRUE GOD is the Father. Jesus has given us an understanding that we may know him (our heavenly Father) that is TRUE, and we are IN him (God the Father) that is TRUE, even (as we are) IN his Son Jesus Christ. THIS (the knowledge that Almighty God the Father is the only true God and that Jesus is his Son and that Almighty God the Father sent his Son to reveal Himself to us) is eternal life (which is to say, THIS is the only way we can attain eternal life in the world to come).
So when I John 5:20 is read this ways it flows completely in line with the rest of the scriptures, but if it is taken out of context and twisted to try and force the meaning to be that Jesus is the true God, then it directly opposes the central meaning of the word of God, which is that Almighty God the Father SENT his Son, so that we who believe on the Son might have eternal life and know the only true God, which is Almighty God, the Father.

So then, why not just simply teach what the Bible plainly says, which is that Jesus is the SON of God, rather than try and use some isolated scriptures that are vague at best and only seem to imply the trinity and that Jesus is God to try and prove and DOGMATICALLY teach that Jesus IS God, FULLY God and FULLY man at the SAME time, and that God is three Gods in one, but yet still only one God?

The truth of the matter is the the enemy does not want you to believe that Jesus is the Son of MAN, because there is POWER in this knowledge of the TRUTH.

Let's continue with the next verse in question.

Titus 2:13

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God AND our Savior Jesus Christ.”

Our blessed hope is the resurrection of the dead in Christ, which will occur at the time of the appearing of our great God, which is Almighty God the Father AND also at the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ. I know we have been taught that at the second coming of Jesus that the dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive and remain shall be changed and caught up together with them to meet the Lord (Jesus Christ our Lord) in the air, but we were never taught or at least I was never taught that AlmightyGod (the Father) with ALSO come with him, that is with his Son, Jesus, when he returns.
So this scripture is not saying that the great God and Savior Jesus Christ are ONE and the SAME, but rather that we are looking for the appearing of the great God (speaking of the appearing of Almighty God the Father) AND at the same time the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ. For a deeper understanding on the truth that God the Father himself will ALSO come when Jesus returns please refer to my study on the rapture of the church. Also a point to consider is that, if one is to use this verse to try and prove that Jesus IS the great God, then this would NOT prove the DOCTRINE of the trinity, but would better support the false DOCTRINE of ONENESS, which states the Jesus IS the Father. This also goes for many of the other verses that are used by those that teach the DOCTRINE of the trinity, almost all of them in fact. rather support the false teaching of ONENESS where Jesus IS the Father and the Father IS Jesus, in that they are ONE and the SAME being. All I am trying to do is to get you, the reader to just thing it through for yourself. When you read the verses that are used to try and support the man made doctrine of the trinity, THINK these verse THROUGH for yourself as see for yourself that many of them favor Jesus being the FATHER as in ONE and the SAME being, but this is NOT what the DOCTRINE of the trinity teaches which PLAINLY states that Jesus is NOT the FATHER and the Father is NOT the SON. Anyway I just thought I would mention that fact.

Now let us take a look at the scriptures that are combined together to try and prove that Jesus is God.

Philippians 2:5-10

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God (God the Father) also has highly exalted him, (Jesus) and GIVEN him a name above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in earth, and things under the earth; And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, (Lord not God) to the GLORY of God the Father.”

Isaiah 45:22,23

“Look unto me, and be you saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, and the WORD (Jesus) is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me (God the Father) every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”

Remember in John 1:1 that the Word was God, which in reality means what God was, the Word was. In other words, God spoke forth his Word and because of God’s integrity God will not take it back. That is to say, God’s Word will not return void, but will accomplish that what he sent it to do. When every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord this CONFESSING and bowing of the knee that Jesus is Lord will be to the GLORY of Almighty God the Father.

John 5:23 says,

“That all men should HONOR the Son, EVEN as they HONOR the Father, he that honors NOT the Son honors NOT the Father which has sent me.”

So when we honor Jesus we honor the Father, just like when Jesus said whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren you do to ME. Obviously the brethren and Jesus are NOT one and the same being, and likewise the Father and the son are NOT one and the same being. Again Jesus is NOT God the Father, but rather Jesus is simply the SON of Almighty God, the FATHER just as the scriptures teach us. Jesus has the same NATURE of God, which is divine, but the Father is greater and Jesus is, was and always will be under the authority of his God and Father, Almighty God, the only true and wise God. Let’s continue with the next pair of scriptures.
Also keep in mind that the manifestation of Jesus, the SON of God, being "highly exalted" did not come into being, until Jesus learned OBEDIENCE by suffering the shame of death on the cross. It was at this point, the point of obedience, that Almighty God the Father highly exalted his Son to his right hand to sit by his side and rule with him. Search it out for yourself. It is all it the Bible.

Moving on to the next verse found in John 8:58,

“Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”

Exodus 3:14

“And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, I AM has sent me unto you.”

Jesus was with the Father from the beginning before the foundations of the world in the form of the Word or in the thoughts of Almighty God, so of course Jesus, as the Word, or in God's thoughts to have a SON and call his name Jesus was before Abraham. But just because Jesus said "I am" does NOT mean that he was saying he was “THE I AM”, that is the Almighty God. For IF this were TRUE, then this would mean that Jesus was in fact saying that he was the FATHER. And again this is NOT what the DOCTRINE of the trinity teaches, but rather what the FALSE doctrine of ONENESS teaches.
The truth of the matter is that the old English sentence structure is sometimes awkward to put into words we use today. You could read this verse also as, “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am before Abraham.” In other words…"before Abraham I was".
In fact the word translated as “am” in this verse that is in question is translated 349 times elsewhere as “was” compared to 139 times as “am”. This scripture simply in no way proves that Jesus is Almighty God and is fully God and fully man at the same time. And to use it as such, again does NOT prove the DOCTRINE of the trinity, but rather better supports the false DOCTRINE of ONENESS. Keep in mind that this verse could just as easily been translated as "...Before Abraham I WAS." In other words, BEFORE Almighty God THOUGHT to create Abraham I, Jesus was in the mind of Almighty God and was WITH his in the form of his Word. Keep in mind that the Bible plainly teaches that the Word was with God from the beginning BEFORE the foundation of the world. But the Word being with God from the beginning does not prove that Jesus is God, but simply shows that Jesus, the SON of God was WITH his Father in the Father's PLAN, when the foundations of the world were laid.

Let’s look at another scripture that is used to say that Jesus is God the Father.

John 10:30

“I and my Father are one”

The Greek word here that is translated as one is "heis" or "hen", which has many meanings, some of which are as follows: one, single, first, agree as one, every, no not one. So then, if we let scripture interpret scripture, then this word “heis” or "hen" clearly, without a doubt means ONE, as in to AGREE AS ONE or ONE in PURPOSE. That is to say, ONE as in SINGLENESS of MIND.

Now letting scripture interpret scripture take a look at John 17: 20-22 which says,

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word: That they ALL may be ONE; as you  (or just as you), Father, art in me, and I in you, that they ALSO may be ONE in US: that the world may believe that you have sent me. And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be ONE, EVEN AS WE ARE ONE:”

Obviously there is no doubt that we as believers are NOT Almighty God in that we are one and the same being as God Almighty. It is ALSO obvious that we are not EQUAL with God. We are not on the same level with God. The only way that we are ONE with God is that we are in AGREEMENT with him. We seek to do his will. We seek to obey him. We seek to please him. And this is exactly the same way that Jesus is ONE with Almighty God the Father. Jesus is in AGREEMENT with Almighty God, the Father. Jesus came to do the WILL of his God and Father. Jesus is God’s SON and Almighty God is his Father. And I might add that the Bible says that Almighty God, the Father is also the GOD of Jesus.

Yes the word of God teaches that Jesus is NOT Almighty God, but rather that Almighty God the Father is also HIS God. In other words, Almighty God is the God of Jesus.

Look again at John 20:17

“Jesus says unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; to MY GOD, and your God.”

It simply is not possible for Jesus to be God as some teach that he is God. And by believing these false teachings of the trinity and the deity of Jesus, and the doctrine of oneness, then we would have to turn our backs to literally multitudes of other scriptures that PLAINLY teach that they are two different and separate beings, who are NOT EQUAL. And if they are NOT EQUAL then they both CANNOT be ALMIGHTY in nature. We will look at many more scriptures like this one that simply cannot be interpreted any other way than what they CLEARLY and PLAINLY say. But for now we will examine the scriptures that only SEEM to IMPLY that Jesus is God, depending solely on how you INTERPRET them.
Before I move on to the next scripture I would also like to point out that if John 10:30 is left in the context where it is found one can plainly see that Jesus is NOT one and the same with his Father. As I said before, when Jesus said I and my Father are one, Jesus was not saying he was God nor was he saying he was equal with God. But don’t just take my word for it. Keep the verse in the context and look at the verse that immediately precedes the verse in question.

 John 10:29

“My Father, which gave them me, IS GREATER than all;…”

You see, Jesus was NOT saying that he was God or even EQUAL with his Father, when he said, "I and my Father are ONE", because we can see clearly in the previous verse that Jesus said, "My Father,...IS GREATER THAN ALL;..." This is why it is so vitally important to keep the verses we are studying in the context of where they are found and make absolutely sure they do not contradict the WHOLE word of God.

Then in verse 33 the Jews accused Jesus of blasphemy saying that Jesus being a mere man makes himself God. However in verses 34-36 we see Jesus defending himself. If Jesus truly meant to say he was God, when he said I and my Father are one, then he would not have responded in his defense.

“Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, You are gods? If he (God the Father) called them (men) gods, unto whom the word of God came, and scripture cannot be broken; Say you of him, (Jesus) whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, You blaspheme; because I said, I am the SON of God.?

What did Jesus just say? "I am the SON of God". Jesus said he was the SON of God. Never once did Jesus ever say that he was God as some falsely teach. I have heard preachers pound the pulpit and yell out, "Jesus said he was God", and I am thinking to myself, where does the Bible ever says that Jesus says he is God? I have found no such scripture. Only verse that have been INTERPRETED by some and TAUGHT in a manner such that those who here their teaching are deceived into believing that Jesus IS God, being FULLY God in the flesh and therefore EQUAL with Almighty God in every way where neither is less than or greater than the other.  So again this scripture does NOT in any way prove that Jesus is God, but in fact rather clearly shows that Jesus is the SON of God and that the Father is GREATER than all which also includes Jesus his SON. Let’s move on to the next verse in question.

I John 5:7

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

Again the word “one” here is the Greek word "heis" or "hen", which I have already clearly shown means to AGREE AS ONE. Once again, let’s keep the verse in context and read the very next verse.

“And there are three that bear witness in the earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three AGREE IN ONE.”

The word Greek word "HEIS" or"hen" in verse 7 that is translated as ONE is the SAME exact Greek word  "HEIS" or "hen" that is ALSO used in verse 8, but is translated as AGREE IN ONE. The word "heis" of "hen" could be translated as one or as agree in one, but in reality the word one bears the meaning of to agree as one. So then, the verse should read as follows. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost: and these three AGREE AS ONE.
So once again this scripture does NOT in any way prove the DOCTRINE of the trinity nor does it prove that Jesus is God. The TRUTH of the matter is that Jesus is the SON of Almighty God just as the Bible consistently and plainly states over and over. And if we look at verse 5, the context where this verse in question is found, we read the following,

“Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the SON of God?

(please notice that this nor any other verse does NOT say or teach us to believe that Jesus IS God, but that Jesus is the SON of God)

Well, as for ME and my house, we are going to believe the whole word of God rather than the DOCTRINES of men. The teaching of the DOCTRINE of the trinity and that Jesus is God, FULLY God and FULLY man at the SAME time are man made doctrines that are NOT soundly based upon the WHOLE word of God.

Colossians 2:8-10

“BEWARE lest any man spoil you through philosophy and deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ (where one of the meaning of Christ means the ANOINTING), for in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power;”

Keeping the scripture in context, the same writer also wrote

“For it PLEASED the Father that IN him (or IN the body of Jesus) should all the fullness dwell

Which is found in Colossians 1:19. Alos keep in mind that the Bible also teaches us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit of Almighty God. So in the SAME way the FULNESS of the Godhead DWELL IN US as well, but this TRUTH does NOT make us to be Almighty God. It pleased God the Father to highly exalt his Son Jesus and give him a name that is above every name. All that Jesus was, is, or ever shall be was GIVEN to him BY Almighty God the Father.

The Bible tells us the following about Jesus the SON of God:

              1. Almighty God, the Father, highly exalted him.

 ----Philippians 2:9,11

“For GOD also has highly exalted him, and has given him a name which is
above every name”… “to the GLORY of God the Father.”

In other words, it pleased God to highly exalt his Son Jesus. If Jesus
is truly God as some teach, then he would not have needed to be highly exalted by his God and
Father, because he would have already been the Most High Almighty God, which is the highest
of all. But the truth of the matter is that Jesus is not God, but rather Jesus is God’s Son as the
      Bible plainly teaches.
Jesus has God’s nature, which is divine, but Jesus is under  and subject to Almighty God.

              2. God gave Jesus life within himself. One might even say eternal life within
himself, which we will explore a little deeper later on in this study, but for now
just keep it word for word what the scripture translates it as “life within himself”.

 ----John 5:26

“For AS the Father has life in himself, SO has he GIVEN to the Son to have
       life in himself:”

If Jesus is God, then he would already have life in himself and not have needed to be
GIVEN life in himself by Almighty God, his Father as the scripture PLAINLY tells us.

                3. God GAVE his Son authority.

 ----John 5:27

“And has GIVEN him authority to execute judgment also, because he is
        the Son of man.”

If Jesus is God he would not need to be given authority for he would
        already have all authority.

                4. God gave his Son a commandment.

 ----John 12:49

“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave
me commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.”

If Jesus is God he would not have to be told what to say or speak.

               5. God anointed his Son with the Holy Spirit and with power.

----Acts 10:38

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and POWER,
        who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil;
for God was with him (the Holy Spirit of God was with him).”

If Jesus is God he would already have the Spirit of God within Himself, for
God is Spirit, and would not need to be anointed or given the Holy Spirit.

            6. God granted his Son the place of honor at His own right hand on His
        throne.

----Revelation 3:21

“ To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, EVEN
as I ALSO overcame and am set down with My Father IN HIS throne.”

Jesus overcame the world and because of his obedience to do all that God
the Father gave him to do he was given a place of authority or ruler ship at the
right hand of God over God’s kingdom.

However God the Father Himself still is the highest authority. And Jesus his Son is by
        the Father’s side.
Likewise when we also shall overcome the world we shall rule and reign over the earth
with Jesus in his throne. Even though we will rule and reign with Jesus IN his throne,
this does not make us Jesus. Likewise even though Jesus is set down with his
Father IN his throne, this does not make Jesus to be Almighty God.

Also notice that the word says IN his throne and not on his throne, which to me means
        given authority along side of.
Jesus is still God’s Son and God is still his God having authority
over his Son, Jesus, even in kingdom of God during the 1000 year reign of Jesus.

                Look at Revelation 3:12

“Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of MY GOD, and
he shall no more go out: and I will write the name of MY GOD; and the name
of the city of MY GOD, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of
heaven from MY GOD: and I will write upon him my new name.”
If you truly desire to know the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH, and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH, then you will look up all the scriptures I have used in this study to present to you the TRUTH that Jesus is NOT God in the way that some teach which is that Jesus is all powerful, all knowing, all present and has no beginning, because he is one and the same as God, but rather that Jesus is the SON of God and has the same nature as God, which is divine, but layed aside his divine nature and became a MAN, 100% flesh and blood human nature just like you and me and live his life without sin to show us that it could be done, and we too can live our lives without sins just as Jesus did.

Then read these verse in the context that they are found. If you do this you will see that the scriptures that plainly show that Jesus is the SON of God cannot be interpreted any other way. However as I have shown is this study, ever single scripture that has ever been used to try and prove that Jesus is God have been taken out of context and have been misinterpreted to be given a meaning that was not intended by the writer, because if they are left in the context it becomes clear what they truly mean. Nearly all of the scriptures used to try and prove the trinity and that Jesus is God, fully God and fully man at the same time are VAGUE at best and only SEEM to IMPLY the trinity and deity of Jesus, but in light of the WHOLE word of God it becomes obvious that they oppose the TRUTH that Jesus is not Almighty God the Father, the only true wise God.

Let us continue with John 3:16 to show that Jesus had a beginning.

For God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The words “only begotten” is the Greek word “monogenes” and means one and only, unique, only begotten, only child. This word comes from two Greek words combined together, “mono”, meaning only, alone, and “ginomai”, which means to be, become, to COME INTO EXISTENCE, BE BORN.
Jesus, unlike God the Father had a BEGINNING. Jesus was BORN of God the Father. He CAME INTO EXISTENCE. Jesus was brought forth.

The word of God says it like this in Colossians 1:15

Who is the IMAGE of the INVISIBLE GOD, the FIRSTBORN of every creature.”

Jesus was the IMAGE of the INVISIBLE and only true God and was BORN of God, the FIRSTBORN and only begotten Son of God. In other words, Jesus came into existence by God the creator of all things and God became his Father. Jesus had a beginning and God does not have a beginning, therefore Jesus is not and cannot be God as some teach him to be.
Look at Hebrews 1:1-3

“GOD, who at sundry times and divers manners spake in times past unto the fathers by prophets, Has in these last days spoken unto us by his SON, whom he (Almighty God) has appointed heir of all things, BY whom also he (speaking of Almighty God, the Father) made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

The Greek word here for express is “character” and means exact representation of his person. The word “person” means essence, substance, trust, being sure, confidence. Jesus came from the Father and was sent by the Father to reveal to us or show us plainly the nature or character of the only true God, God the Father, so that we might be sure, confident and trust that God is true. Jesus is the exact representation of the person of God the Father.

Look at John 14:8,9

“Philip says unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it suffices us. Jesus says unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and have you not known me, Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father, and how say you then, Show us the Father?”

Jesus was not saying that he was the Father, but rather an exact representation of God’s person or character. Jesus showed us the love of the Father. Love is God’s character. The Bible says that God is love.

So when Jesus was born of God or brought forth by God, that is to say, brought into existence by God, he had God’s nature, which is divine and then was brought up to have God’s character. Those that teach that Jesus is God teach that Jesus is from everlasting to everlasting, in other words Jesus had no beginning and has no end. They say that Jesus always was and always will be. However the word of God says Jesus is God’s only begotten Son, which means that Jesus was born, or in other words had a beginning.

Look at Revelation 3:14

“…These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the BEGINNING OF THE CREATION of God”

Here is an example of a scripture that can be interpreted in two ways. And both ways are correct. One way to interpret this verse is that it means that Jesus was the beginning of creation, in that, God by him created all things. And this interpretation flows with the rest of God’s word. Another way to view this verse is to say that Jesus was the FIRST of God’s creation. In other words Jesus is the first, or the beginning that is brought into existence by God. Since there was more to follow then the first became the beginning, that is to say, God began creation by starting with Jesus. He was the beginning of creation of God in that God began with him, and then God continued on with creation perhaps creating light and then laying the foundations of the world. In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with God and what God was, the WORD was.
Now look at Proverbs Chapter eight. Read the whole chapter to get a clear picture that this passage is referring to Jesus. I am just going to quote verses 21-31,35.

“That I (Jesus) may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I (Jesus) will fill their treasures.
The Lord (God the Father) possessed me (Jesus or the Word) in the beginning of his (God’s) way, before his (God’s) works of old. I (Jesus) was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
When there were no depths I (Jesus or the Word) was BROUGHT FORTH: when there were no fountains abounding with water.
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills I (Jesus) was BROUGHT FORTH: While as yet he (God the Father) had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
When he (God the Father) prepared the heavens, I (Jesus) was there; when he (God the father) set a compass upon the face of the depth: When he (God the Father) established the clouds above: when he (God the Father) strengthened the fountains of the deep: When he (God the Father) gave to the sea his (God the Father’s) decree, that the waters should not pass his (God the Father’s) command: When he (God the Father) appointed the foundations of the earth:
THEN I (Jesus) was BY him (God the Father) as one BROUGHT UP with him: and I (Jesus) was daily his (God the Father’s) delight, rejoicing always before him; Rejoicing in the habitable part of his (God’s) earth; and my delights were with the sons of men”… “For whoso finds me finds life, and shall obtain favor of the Lord (God the Father).

The words “brought forth” mean to be in labor, to give birth to, to be born, or formed. Jesus was brought forth or born before the earth was made in the heart of Almighty God.

The word “possessed” means to be brought forth, created, and carries with it the ideal of ownership. Verse 22 says, The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way. The word “way” means path, journey, and CONVERSATION. As God talked to himself, “Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness”, he brought forth his Word. In other words God brought forth his thoughts or birthed his thoughts as his Word.

The words “set up” mean to be poured out, to be appointed. The word “appointed” means to designate, to fill an office, or position, to furnish, to equip, to prescribe, and to enjoin with authority. Prescribe means to establish rules, laws and direction.

The word beginning means what is first, first time or first fruit. Jesus was the first born and the beginning of the creation of God. Jesus was daily God’s delight. Now the word delight means to dandle, which means to bounce up and down in the arms or on the knee, and also means to play.

The Word was daily God’s delight. One might say like a kid with a new toy. Think about it. God for the FIRST TIME spoke one of his thoughts and then the thought he spoke came into existence. Let us ASSUME and I emphasize the word assume, because what I am about to say next the scriptures only SEEM to IMPLY, but let us assume that God, Almighty God the Father, who has no beginning, neither end was alone. He had only his thoughts to keep him company and to amuse him.
Then one day one of his thoughts was to speak. Now he had never done this before, but the more he thought about the Word in his heart and even in his mouth ready to come forth, even that word of faith, the more excited he became. In other words the Word was with God in the beginning in the form of his thoughts and at this point in time had not ever yet been spoken forth.
So after much thought God finally spoke forth his thoughts as his Word possibly being I AM THAT I AM and then said let there be light, and there was light. And then he saw that the light was good and he delighted in the Word that he had spoken. Then after thinking some more, decided to separate the light from the darkness and called the light day and the darkness night. God thought very methodically in every detail about the foundation of the earth. And after each thought spoke forth his thought is the form of his Word to create the heavens and the earth.

Thus in the beginning was God, and the Word, that is God’s thought to speak forth that which was in his heart and nigh even in his mouth ready to come forth, even the Word of faith, God’s faith was with God, and what God was or what God’s thoughts were the Word was in that they agreed as one. So the first thing that God brought forth or birthed was his thoughts in the form of his WORD.

God created the angels before he made man, but the Bible tells us that the angels keep not their first estate. This means that some of the angels, one third, decided to rebel against God, so God cast them out of heaven. Now let us assume that Lucifer, who is now called Satan, accused God, blaming him that it was God’s fault that he sinned. So God being just and righteous made man a little lower than the angels to prove to Satan that all God created was perfect and good including Lucifer.
Then when Satan saw that man was pleasing to God and he was mindful of man he knew his fate was sealed so he had to get man to sin against God as he himself sinned against God. So he tempted man and then when man sinned God was displeased for awhile but still loved mankind. Now God knew that Satan would tempt man and that man would be deceived so he had already thought to redeem man back to himself. But how can I do this he thought. I have given man authority over the earth and now Satan has tempted them to sin. I cannot go beyond my own word and step in as God, because I gave man the authority over the earth. Then God thought I will send forth my Word in the earth and bring forth a Son, my only begotten Son and he will have the nature of man and be like man in every way and therefore have authority in the earth, because he will be the Son of man, born of a woman. I will teach him by my Spirit. And he will live a life free from sin and then I will offer him an innocent man as a sacrifice for all of mankind. God tricked Satan into crucifying Jesus, an innocent man not worthy of death, thereby giving Jesus the right to redeem mankind back to his Father. So God told his servants the prophets to prophesy (speak forth the word of God) about a Messiah. And after many prophecies were made, a child was born and his name was called the Son of God. Henceforth the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

Now it may or may not have happened like this, but in light of all the scriptures this interpretation fits the best of any I have ever read by anyone else. It explains why it seems that God allows evil in the world, and shows that God is wrongly blamed for the bad things that happen. Satan is the god of this world, and kept man under the bondage and dominion of sin, but Jesus set us free from sin and bought back our authority.
However few Christians have this knowledge that they are free from sin and that sin no longer has dominion over them. They do not walk in their full authority and true potential, because of what we have been taught about the trinity and the deity of Jesus. They have been taught that Jesus is the only one who has ever lived a sinless life, and since we are only human we will always fall short of the glory of God and sin.
I realize because of what we have been taught or at least what I have been taught, it is hard to take that step and put away the teaching of the trinity, as there is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and the deity of Jesus, as Jesus being fully God and yet fully man, but it is vitally necessary to know without a doubt that Jesus was fully and totally man just as we are and was our EXAMPLE to follow. Jesus was human and lived without sin, so therefore O vain man you are without excuse. God has given us everything we need to live our life free from any and all sin. Please refer to my study on living free from sin for a deeper understand of how you can be an over comer just like Jesus.
Now as I said before I fully agree that there is only one true God and this is God the Father, which I VIEW as the mind of God, where all the planning is made and is the supreme authority. Then there is Jesus, God’s only begotten Son. Jesus is the Son of God and was with God in the form of the Word from the beginning before the world ever was. And the Word worked together and in unity with the Father both as the Word to create all things by being in agreement with what God the Father thought and then spoke. And then the Word became flesh and worked with God as the Son of man. Then there is the power of God, the Holy Spirit of God. The Bible tells us that God is a Spirit and like the Word, the Holy Spirit of God obeys the Father or the mind of God. God sent his Spirit into the earth. Now in essence there are three separate persons working together in unity, but the Father is the supreme authority and has highly exalted his Son Jesus to give him a name above every name and a place of authority at His own right hand. It pleased God to do this because his delight was with the sons of men, which he will one day also highly exalt and give judgment over the angels into the hands of men. We will rule and reign with Jesus, and then one day we will judge the angels that did not keep their first estate. And then, all rule, will then be given back into the Fathers hands. After this, are the ages to come, of which, the Bible to my knowledge is silent and does not reveal to us.

I Corinthians 8: 4b-6

“…there is none other God but ONE. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but ONE God, THE FATHER, of whom are all things, and we in him; and ONE LORD JESUS CHRIST, by whom are all things, and we by him.”

Ephesians 4:4-6

“There is one body, and ONE SPIRIT, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; ONE LORD, one faith, one baptism, ONE GOD and FATHER of all, WHO IS ABOVE ALL, and through all and in you all.”

I Timothy 2:5

“For there is ONE GOD, and one mediator between GOD and men, the MAN CHRIST JESUS.”

Matthew 19:16,17

“ And , Behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And he (Jesus) said unto him, Why call you me good? There is none good but ONE, that is, GOD: but if you will inherit eternal life, keep the commandments.”

Jesus said in Matthew 4:10b

“…You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.”

In Revelation chapter 21 beginning with verse 9,

“And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will show you the bride, the lambs wife.”

Notice one of the seven angels came unto John and talked with him. Now read through very carefully and notice that it is the SAME angel talking with him all the way through to verse 16 of chapter 22. The word angel simply means messenger or one who is sent to bring a message. With this in mind now read verse 6-9 of chapter 22.

“And he said unto me, these sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold I come quickly; blessed is he that keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book. And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the ANGEL WHICH SHOWED ME these things. Then he says to me, SEE YOU DO IT NOT: for I am your FELLOW SERVANT, and of your BRETHREN the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: WORSHIP GOD.”

This angel that is talking to John is either Jesus himself, or an angel speaking in behalf of Jesus. Notice verse 7,

 “Behold I come quickly…”

Then he says in verse 9,

“…I am your FELLOW SERVANT, and of your BRETHREN the PROPHETS, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.”

Nowhere in Bible is an angel referred to as our brethren, a prophet, or our fellow servant. However Jesus is called a prophet and he is referred to as our brethren and he certainly kept the sayings of his God and Father. Now I know that we will worship God and the Lamb, but it is interesting to see that Jesus directed the worship that John was about to give him to his Father, the only true God.
In closing we will look at the Old Testament scriptures that are used to teach the trinity and that Jesus is God.

Let’s begin with Judges 13:22

“And Manorah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.”

Now we know that Jesus said NO man has seen God except he that came from the Father. Jesus was referring to himself as the man that came from his Father, so we know they did not see God himself, who is the one true and ONLY Almighty God. But those that teach that Jesus is God interpret this verse to mean that this man of God that appeared to them was Jesus. Now if Jesus was in fact THE ALMIGHTY God, then that would mean that man saw Almighty God. But this we now know is not true in the sense that Jesus is fully God and fully man at the same time. Some may reason and say that this may have been Jesus or this angel may not have been Jesus that appeared to them.  The word of God simple says it was an angel. (again the word angel means messenger) Verse 6 says,

“Then the women came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an ANGEL of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told me his name.”

So if the verse says he was like an angel, then why make the claim that it was Jesus and therefore concluding that Jesus is THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God, because if this were true then Jesus would be lying when he said NO man has seen God. So in light of the WHOLE word of God neither Manorah nor his wife saw ALMIGHTY God, because Almighty God is a SPIRIT and he is INVISIBLE. You see, it was in their excitement that they claimed that they saw God, and then later describe what they saw to be like the ANGEL of God. Also please keep in mind that the man child, that was given the name Jesus, which means YHWH saves had NOT YET been brought forth into the world. To me, this angel that was seen as being a man was either truly an angelic being that appeared to be a man, or this man was a manifestation of the Word of God that was brought forth to reveal to us the one true God. Either way this man or angel was NOT the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God who alone is the FATHER.

Moving on to the next verse.

Genesis 18:1-33, verse 1-4,

“And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre; and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three MEN stood by him; and when he SAW them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground. And said, My Lord, if I have found favor in your sight, pass not away, I pray you, from your servant: Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:”

Simply because this verse says, THREE men appeared and also rest YOURSELVES, which is plural, then those that teach the trinity make the claim that since the Lord appeared to Abraham. then this therefore means that the Lord God is three in one. The truth of the matter is that these three MEN may all have been angels. Throughout the Bible God uses angels to tell men the plans that God has for them. Some argue that one of these angels may or may not have been Jesus, because when two of the angel left one remained behind and talked with Abraham. Well if two left and were identified as ANGELS then how can one use this scripture to try and prove the trinity?

First we are told in verse one that the Lord appeared unto him, but remember this is an account of what took place and not a live broadcast, so to speak. The Lord does not actually speak to Abraham until verse 17, right after the three men or angels looked toward Sodom. Please keep in mind that the word appear does not always mean appearing face to face, but also means presence, to be aware, to be made known, or to realize. You see when Almighty God spoke to Abraham, he knew it was God. He became aware of God’s presence. He realized that it was God talking to him. In today’s vernacular, one might say, God paid me a visit last night. This does not mean they SAW God face to face but rather God spoke to them. Or the SAW and ANGEL and HEARD the voice of God. Or they saw and angel and the angle spoke as a representative of Almighty God. The Bible is pretty clear that God is INVISIBLE and therefore NO man has ever seen God nor can they ever see God. Please read 1 Timothy 1:17 along with 1 Timothy 6:14-16, which clearly and plainly teaches us that NO man has ever seen God, NOR can man ever see Almighty God, because God is INVISIBLE.

1 Timothy 1:17

"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, INVISIBLE, the ONLY wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen."

1 Timothy 6:14-16

" That you keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

15. Which in his times he shall show (speaking of the first and second comings of Jesus he shall REVEAL to us), who is the blessed and ONLY Potentate (or SOVEREIGN LORD or supreme ruler, the MOST HIGH God), the King of kings , and Lord of lords ;

16. Who ONLY has immortality (as is who ONLY has life in himself and is the given of all life), dwelling in the light which NO man can approach unto; whom NO man hath SEEN, NOR CAN SEE: to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen."

So then CLEARLY since MEN have SEEN Jesus, then this one verse should make it quite plain the Jesus is NOT INVISIBLE and therefore is NOT THE ONE TRUE WISE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God who alone is the FATHER. Please read the study called "IS JESUS ALMIGHTY GOD?", which shows HOW Jesus can be GOD, but NOT THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the FATHER.

You see all the scriptures that are used to TRY and prove the doctrine of the trinity and that Jesus is God, being fully God as in, being the Almighty God in the flesh while being fully man at the same are vague at best and are subject to those who are interpreting them. And I might add that every verse that is used to TRY and prove that Jesus is THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God in turn DESTROY that DOCTRINE of the trinity that clearly teaches that Jesus is NOT the FATHER.

Now I have shown that most of these verses were taken out of context and the meaning changed to TRY and prove the trinity and deity of Jesus. But the scriptures that teach us that Jesus is the SON of God leave us with NO DOUBT that Jesus is the SON of God and that he is NOT the FATHER. They cannot be interpreted any other way. So therefore the logical thing to do when the Bible seems to contradict itself is to re-examine the verses of scripture that can be interpreted in another way and interpret them in line with the WHOLE word of God.

Also besides the evidence of scripture it is interesting to know that the doctrine of the trinity did not come into being until around 300 years after the resurrection of Jesus. It then took over another hundred years to evolve into the doctrine of the trinity that is still being taught today. It also took another hundred years for this doctrine of the trinity to be widely accepted, and there are many who still resist it to this day. I did not know any of this when I began this study. All that I have written was given to me by the Holy Spirit as I read the word of God. Also I learned that it was in the forming of this doctrine of the trinity that the teaching that Jesus was God, fully God and fully man also came to be. Check it out for yourself. It is all a record of church history.

Another point worthy of pointing out is that the pagan religions believed in a trinity deity. So it is very possible that the church in the dark ages incorporated the doctrine of the trinity to appease the pagans that had been brought into the fold. Many teaching in Catholicism were introduced to Christianity to appease the pagans that were automatically declared to be Christians under the rule of Constantine.

So then, why does it matter if one teaches the trinity and that Jesus is God? Well, for a long time for me it was very confusing so I just put the teaching on a shelf so to speak just so that I could continue to believe that I was saved by the preaching of the gospel. You see, I could not understand things like, how did Jesus pray to himself, why Jesus did not know the day and the hour when God is all knowing, how Jesus was tempted like we are if he was God and God cannot be tempted with evil, and why Jesus could not heal those in his own home town if God can do all things and nothing is impossible with God. So I just tried not to think about it. And also through the years I have heard people say that the only thing that kept them from being a Christian was the teaching that God was three in one and yet still one God. They could not understand this teaching and at that time I could not understand it either, nor could I explain it any other way. That is one reason why I sought to know the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH, and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH concerning the deity of Jesus, being fully God and fully man at the same time. I knew that this was just not possible, because God cannot be tempted with evil and Jesus was tempted. So if Jesus was God, then he could not be tempted. And for a surety he was tempted. Therefore the only solution was that Jesus was not God as I had been taught. He was the SON of God and became the Son of man, fully man, and was temped in all points like we are, yet without sin. It was this study on Jesus being the Son of man ( please refer to this study if you want a deeper understanding on overcoming the world) that eventual evolved into this study on the trinity and the deity of Jesus.
Also I have observed many testimonies of Christians leaving the Christian faith and becoming either atheist in their belief or turning to the Islamic faith simply because of this man made DOCTRINE of the trinity. Christians deserve to at least hear the WHOLE word of God, so that they can judge for themselves what is THE TRUTH of the WHOLE word of God.

Thanks for reading. May God bless you richly as you continue to seek the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. Below are some other verses that are used to try and support the doctrine of the trinity and the deity of Jesus. There may be other verses which you may be having trouble seeing any other way than what you were dogmatically taught over and over for so long, but I assure you that each and every verse used by those who teach the doctrine of the trinity does indeed have a different meaning that does NOT CONTRADICT any other part of God's word. If there is a verse that I have not listed please do not hesitate to write and let me know. Some verse are included in others studies and they may not appear as an individual study. If there is a verse of verses that you seem to struggle with only being able to see the doctrine of the trinity when you read this verse, then please search out the truth be listening to the other side of the controversy. No one can arrive at the truth by hearing only ONE side of the controversy. I only present you with ALL the evidence that I myself have found and leave it to you to decide what you want to believe.
