Dd-18. The COMMANDMENTS and the ALEPH TAV! Part 3.
In part 2 of this series of studies we covered all the verses of Scripture having the Aleph Tav connected to the word “commandment” in the SINGULAR. And in part 3 of this study we will examine all of the verses of Scripture with the Aleph Tav connected to the word “COMMANDMENTS” in the PLURAL. And in part 1 we covered the verses with the word “SABBATH” connected to the Aleph and the Tav. Keep in mind that Jesus said that the Scriptures speak of him and that Jesus also said that he is the FIRST and the LAST. To refresh your memory let me recap the question that I asked in the first paragraph in part 1. What is the “Aleph” and the “Tav”? The “Aleph” is the FIRST letter of the Hebrew alphabet like the Greek letter “alpha” is the FIRST letter of the Greek alphabet. And the “Tav” is the LAST letter of the Hebrew alphabet like the Greek letter “Omega” is the LAST letter of the Greek Alphabet. You can go back and read part 1 for the verses of Scripture where Jesus said that he is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. Let us begin part 2 of this study with Exodus 24:12 where the Aleph and Tav are connected to the two STONE TABLETS, upon which God engraved the Ten Commandments.
Exodus 24:12.
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give you (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) TABLES OF STONE, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that you may TEACH (Or that you may POINT OUT or explain to) them.”
Jesus knew that the Scriptures spoke of him and I believe that Jesus knew that Moses was a FIGURE of the Messiah. And as I said before, just like Jesus explained or POINTED OUT to his disciples that the Scripture testify of him as being the Messiah, so shall Jesus ALSO teach or point out to the remnant of Jews at his second coming that he is the fulfillment of the Scriptures. In other words, Jesus will do what I am doing right now but only better. I am only seeing a “glimpse” of what is hidden in the word of God.
Exodus 34:27,28.
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Write you (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel. 28. And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.”
So hidden in the third and fourth commandments are the (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) words pointing to Jesus as being the Messiah. Jesus IS the NAME of the Lord that all people are warned to NOT take or receive in VAIN. And the fourth commandment is a SHADOW of RESTING IN Jesus as our true Sabbath rest for holiness and righteousness. In other words, we must enter into REST IN Jesus for salvation in order to be counted worthy to enter in Yahweh’s seventh 1000 year long day of REST during the Millennial reign of Jesus in the world to come. When we read the Old Testament, we need to read it with the prophecies of Jesus in mind. In other words, the keeping of the commandments under the Old Covenant are shadows, types and figures of keeping the commandments of Jesus under the New Covenant. To say this another way, the Aleph Tav connected with the word “commandments” is like a red flag saying to the children of Israel that in the future you will keep the Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus commandments under the New Covenant. So again, I will translate the Aleph and the Tav in the following verses of Scripture as Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus.
Leviticus 26:14,15.
“But if you will not hearken unto me, and will not do (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all these commandments; 15. And if you shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) my judgments, so that you will not do (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all my commandments, but that you break (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) my covenant:”
Keep in mind that Jesus is the only name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. The law was added UNTIL faith in Jesus comes. Jesus kept the commandments of his Father under the Old Covenant and now we are to keep the Messiah Jesus commandments under the New Covenant written in the New Testament.
Deuteronomy 4:2,13,40.
“You shall not add unto the word which I command you, (In other words, we are not to ADD the Old Covenant along with the New Covenant) neither shall you diminish ought from it, (In other words, some Christians wrongly teach that Jesus fulfilled all the law for us so therefore we do not have to obey any commandments) that you may keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you… ...13. And he declared unto you his (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) covenant, (Speaking of the NEW Covenant established in the shed blood of Jesus) which he commanded you to perform, even Ten Commandments; (And hidden in the Ten Commandments are prophecies and shadows pointing to Jesus and the New Covenant) and he wrote them upon two tables of stone… ...40. You shall keep, THEREFORE, (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) his statutes, and his commandments, which I command you this day, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days upon the earth, which the LORD your God gives you, for ever.”
Keep in mind that Yahweh the Father put His words in the mouth of His Prophet, Jesus, to command us to keep. So then, the TWO commandments of Jesus under the New Covenant fulfill all the requirements of the Ten Commandments under the Old Covenant.
Deuteronomy 5:10-12, 29-31.
“And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. 11. You shall not take (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the name of the LORD your God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) his name in vain. (And the Apostle Paul warns us that the Judaizing Christians who wrongly compel Christians to keep the Law of Moses under the Old Covenant are keeping the New Covenant in VAIN and they are fallen from grace) 12. Keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the Sabbath day to sanctify it, (Or to sanctify him) as the LORD your God has commanded you… ...29. O that there was such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever! (There are many Jewish people today who diligently keep the commandments under the Old Covenant but in God’s eyes they are sinning because they do not keep His Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus commandment. God prophesied that He will cause all the Sabbaths to CEASE, according to Isaiah 1:13,14 and Hosea 2:11. Now, for us who are obeying the TRUTH of the gospel of Jesus Christ, all of the feast days, the new moons and the weekly Sabbaths have already CEASED at the cross. And AT the second coming of Jesus our Lord and King will teach the remnant of Jews the TRUTH of the gospel. And all of the feast days, the new moons, and the weekly Sabbaths will CEASE for all people during the 1000 year reign of Jesus. For you see, Jesus will teach them the true meaning of the law so that they will keep the Spirit of the law and not the letter of the law) 30. Go say to them, Get you into your tents again. (The Hebrew word translated as tents also means tabernacles. So this verse should read, go say to them, get into your tabernacles. In other words, the feast of tabernacles is prophetically symbolic of being SAVED and the Holy Spirit coming to dwell in or to tabernacle in the believer. So the keeping of the feast of tabernacles during the 1000 years is likened to an altar call to be saved. You see, there will be many “GENERATIONS” born during the Millennial reign of Jesus and each generation will be taught of the Lord and how to be saved by faith in Jesus to ABIDE or to TABERNACLE IN Jesus) 31. But as for you, (Speaking to the generation of the “REMNANT” of Jews at the beginning of the 1000 year reign of Jesus) stand you here by me, (Or remain you steadfast in faith that I am the Messiah prophesied to come) and I will speak unto you (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which you shall teach them, (Speaking of the remnant of Jesus teaching that children the truth of the gospel so that their children can to their children from generation to generation throughout the Millennial reign of Jesus) that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.”
Can you not see that it is only the commandments of Jesus that we must obey in order to receive eternal life in the world to come and NOT the keeping of the Old Covenant written in the Old Testament? It is just like Paul teaches us in Colossians 2:14-17, which is that the weekly Sabbaths, the new moons, and the yearly feast days are all SHADOWS pointing to Jesus and the New Covenant.
Deuteronomy 6:2,17,25.
“That you might fear (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD your God, to keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged… ...17. You shall diligently keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you… ...25. And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.”
Deuteronomy 7:9-11.
“Know therefore that the LORD your God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; (This literally reads for a thousand, generation in the singular. And to me, this is a prophecy of the 1000 year reign of Jesus. Also, I am seeing two separate persons, Yahweh your God is God, and the faithful God is the highly exalted Son of man, Jesus, who kept the covenant of his God and Father who alone is the only true God, according to John 17:1-3. So to me, this verse is saying that Jesus will have mercy on them that repent at his coming who love him and keep his TWO commandments under the New Covenant during the Millennial reign of Jesus in the world to come) 10. And repays them that hate him to their face, (Speaking of those who do NOT call upon the name of the Lord to be saved when they see the signs of the coming of the Son of man to execute the wrath of Almighty God) to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hates him, he will repay him to his face. 11. You shall therefore keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command you this day, to do them.”
Can you not see how the Aleph and Tav that are not translated point to Jesus and the commandments of Jesus under the New Covenant? So then, hidden IN the commandments under the Old Covenant are hidden prophecies of Jesus and the New Covenant for us to keep the TWO commandments of Jesus written in the New Testament.
Deuteronomy 8:1,2,6,11.
“All the commandments which I command you this day shall you observe to do, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) land which the LORD swore unto your fathers. 2. And you shall remember (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all the way which the LORD your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, and to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or no... ...6. Therefore, you shall keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him... ...11. Beware that you forget not (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command you this day:”
In other words, Yahweh’s will is for us to obey His Son, Jesus. And by obeying the TWO commandments of His Son, Jesus, we are obeying ALL that Yahweh the Father requires of us. But if anyone ADDS to these two commandments of Jesus what Jesus abolished and nailed to the cross to take out of our way, then that Christian has fallen from grace. So to all my readers who are seventh day of the week Sabbath-keeping Christians, I implore you to read all the studies under the heading >>>Dd-0. What is the TRUE Sabbath?<<< But for now, please know and understand that Jesus IS our TRUE Sabbath rest for holiness and righteousness.
Deuteronomy 10:4,13.
“And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the Ten Commandments, which the LORD spoke unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in (Or during) the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me... ...13. To keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?”
Again, the Law of Moses was added UNTIL faith in Messiah Jesus comes.
Deuteronomy 11:1,8,13,22,27,28.
“Therefore, you shall love (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD your God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, always… ...8. Therefore, shall you keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither you go to possess it;... ...13. And it shall come to pass, if you shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,... ...22. For if you shall diligently keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;... ...27. (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) A blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: 28. And a curse, if you will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known.”
The Bible teaches us in the New Testament that the commandments contained in ordinances under the Old Covenant were not able to be borne. They were a yoke of bondage that none of the fathers of the Jews could bear, according to Acts 15:10.
Let us go ahead and read Acts 15:10.
“Now therefore why TEMPT you God, to put a YOKE upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?”
And all of the seventh day of the week Sabbath-keeping Christians are TEMPTING God by their compelling Christians to keep the weekly Sabbath day as an obligation lest a Christian sins if they do not rest on the seventh day of the week. Please understand that I am not saying that resting is a YOKE that we are not able to bear. But rather, I am saying that the weekly Sabbath mandatory DAY of REST was FULFILLED by Jesus at the cross. And thus, it is tempting God to keep what Jesus fulfilled and thus abolished and nailed to the cross.
Deuteronomy 13:3,4,18.
“You shall not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proves you, to know whether you love (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. (And if you truly love Jesus you will keep the commandments OF Jesus which are TWO commandments, according to Matthew 22:40. And all the Law of Moses and the prophets are fulfilled in those TWO commandments of Jesus) 4. You shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and you shall serve him, and cleave unto him… ...18. When you shall hearken to the voice of the LORD your God, to keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all his commandments which I command you this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD your God.”
Deuteronomy 15:15.
“And you shalt remember that you were a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you: THEREFORE, I command you * this thing today.”
In this verse of Scripture here in Deuteronomy 15:15 the Aleph Tav is translated as “you”. So then, to be consistent in translating the Aleph Tav as Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus, then verse 15 should read as follows.
Deuteronomy 15:15 correctly translated.
“And you shall remember that you were a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you: THEREFORE, I command (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) this thing (This word or this matter) today.”
Jesus is called that holy “thing” in the womb of the Virgin Mary. God prophesied of doing a new “thing”. The Scriptures testify of Jesus as the one prophesied to come. So to me, the untranslated Aleph and Tav point to Jesus as being the FIRST and the LAST, the Aleph and Tav of the Hebrew alphabet.
Deuteronomy 19:9.
“If you shall keep all (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) these commandments to do them, which I command you this day, to love (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD your God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shall you add three cities more for you, beside these three:”
Deuteronomy 26:13, 17, 18.
“Then you shall say before the LORD your God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of my house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all your commandments which you have commanded me: I have not transgressed your commandments, neither have I forgotten them: (This is a prophecy of the remnant of Jews bringing their wealth to Jesus during the 1000 year reign of Jesus when they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior)... ...17. You have avouched (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD this day to be your God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice: (Jesus will rule as God FOR Yahweh in the NAME OF Yahweh during the world to come. And Jesus shall be called Lord by all people during the 1000 year reign of Jesus. You see, when a representative sent by a king speaks in the king’s name then that representative of the king speaks in authority as IF the king himself is speaking. So when we read Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus Yahweh we are to understand that Jesus was MADE Lord and God BY Yahweh the Father after the cross. For you see, Jesus was given all power and authority after the cross to be made Lord and God over the world to come during the 1000 year reign of Jesus. And then after the 1000 years has ended then Jesus will commit the ruling of the kingdom back into the hand of Almighty God the Father) 18. And the LORD has avouched you this day to be his peculiar people, as he has promised you, and that you should keep all his commandments;”
Again, prophetically speaking of the TWO commandments of Jesus under the New Covenant written in the New Testament.
Deuteronomy 27:1,10.
“And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the people, saying, Keep all (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the commandments which I command you this day… ...10. You shall THEREFORE obey the voice of the LORD your God, and do (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) his commandments and his statutes, which I command you this day.”
Again, Yahweh put His own words in the mouth of His Prophet, Jesus. And thus, the words and the teachings of Jesus are the words or voice of Yahweh because Jesus speaks in the NAME of Yahweh or on behalf OF Yahweh the Father. So just like WE are ambassadors for Jesus in his STEAD, Jesus is the Ambassador for Yahweh his God and Father.
Deuteronomy 28:1, 9, 13, 15, 45.
“And it shall come to pass, if you shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe and to do (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all his commandments which I command you this day, that the LORD your God will set you on high above all nations of the earth:... ...9. The LORD shall establish you a holy people unto himself, as he has sworn unto you, if you shall keep (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the commandments of the LORD you God, and walk in his ways... ...13 And the LORD shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if that you hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do them:... ...15. But it shall come to pass, if you will not hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day; that all these curses shall come upon you, and overtake you:”
This is why the Apostles of Jesus warned the Judaizing Christians that if they continued to choose to keep the Law of Moses, then they must keep ALL the Law of Moses to never ever break even one point of the Law of Moses, because there was no more sacrifice for sin under the Old Covenant after 70AD. Jesus redeemed us from the curses of the law by being made a curse for us so that we can keep the TWO commandments under the New Covenant written in the New Testament. The commandments of Jesus are NOT a burden but the keeping of the commandments contained in ordinances under the Old Covenant are a yoke of bondage that ONLY Jesus was able to bear.
Deuteronomy 30:6-16.
“And the LORD your God will circumcise (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live. 7. And the LORD your God will put (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all these curses upon your enemies, and on them that hate you, which persecuted you. 8. And you shall return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) all his commandments which I command you this day. 9. And the LORD your God will make you plenteous in every work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers: 10. If you shall hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if you turn unto the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul. 11. For this commandment which I command you this day, it is not hidden from you, neither is it far off. (WHAT commandment? Keep reading and the Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance Romans 10:5-13) 12. It is not in heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 13. Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 14. But the word is very nigh unto you, in your mouth, and in your heart, that you may do it. (Now read Romans 10:8-11. “But what says it? The word is nigh you, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; Rom 10:9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.” So then, the COMMANDMENT in Deuteronomy 30:11 is the commandment of FAITH to believe in Messiah Jesus as our Lord and Savior and that God raised him from the dead) 15. See, (Or UNDERSTAND and KNOW) I have set before you this day (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) life and good, and death and evil; 16. IN THAT I command you this day to love (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that you may live and multiply: and the LORD your God shall bless you in the land whither you go to possess it.”
