For me personally, ABSOLUTELY and without any doubt, we should worship Jesus. That is the short answer. I have a much shorter summarized version of this study called “What do Matthew 4:10 and Luke 4:8 TRULY MEAN?” But if you want ALL of the Scriptures then you will want to read this long, and I do mean very long, and in-depth sound Biblical answer straight from the Bible itself. Please read the following paragraph to know why I even ask the question, “Should we worship Jesus?” Now, the reason for WHY I even ask this question is that Trinitarian Christians worship Jesus as Jesus being the ONLY True God, the Almighty God Himself. But Unitarian Christians worship Jesus as the Son OF Almighty God. For you see Biblical Unitarian Christians understand that ONLY TRUE God is ONE God in ONE person, which the Bible itself always clearly identifies as being the Father. And thus, in the eyes of Trinitarian Christians, then all Unitarian Christians are worshiping TWO Gods who are NOT the SAME being as the ONLY TRUE God. So then, to Trinitarian Christians, all Unitarian Christians are idolaters simply because Unitarian Christians worship Jesus as the Son of God being found WORTHY to be praised for obeying all of the WILL of his God and Father. But we reject the false teaching of Jesus being Almighty God Himself in the flesh having TWO natures at the SAME time DURING the days of his FLESH, one divine and one human. And thus, we reject BOTH the Pentecostal Oneness doctrine and the doctrine of the Trinity. We worship Jesus to the glory OF Almighty God the Father because it is that Father’s WILL that we honor Jesus even as we honor the Father. Let us take a CLOSE look at what the Bible itself teaches. The English word “worship” is found 44 times in the New Testament. And the word “worshipped” spelled with the double ”p” in the King James Version is found 29 times in the New Testament. And all the other forms of the word worship such as worshippeth, worshippers, and worshipping are found altogether 5 times in the New Testament. Since we do not speak in the Old English style like the King James Version, I will change the Old English “spelling” to modern English spelling. I am not going to deal with the Old Testament because we, as Christians, are under the New Covenant and it is the words under the New Covenant that we are to follow and obey that are written in the New Testament. The old patterns of worship service to God written in the Old Testament have been fulfilled in Jesus and nailed to the cross. And God also prophesied of doing NEW THINGS on the earth, and we are to FORGET the FORMER things, according to Isaiah 42:1-8 and Isaiah 43:18,19. You will see what I mean by this as you continue this study in God’s word. Now, there are six different Greek words used, and from thos six different Greek words the English word “worship” has been translated from each of those six Greek words.
#1. The Strong’s #4576 is translated as worship 3 times. #2. The Strong’s #1479 is translated as worship 1 time. #3. The Strong’s #3000 is translated as worship 3 times. #4. The Strong’s #2151 is translated as worship 1 time. #5. The Strong’s #1391 is translated as worship 1 time. #6. The Strong’s #4352 is translated as worship 35 times. Let us first cover the 9 verses of Scripture where the English word worship is translated from the first five DIFFERENT Greek words so that my readers will know that I am not hiding anything from them. And then we will cover the sixth Greek word with Strong's #4352 highlighted in yellow which is found 35 times. It is this Greek word found 35 times translated as worship that is used by Jesus in both Matthew 4:10 and Luke 4:8 that are the verses used to TRY and prove that Jesus is Almighty God Himself. But both Trinitarian and Oneness Christians have ERRORED in their “interpretation” of these two verses of Scripture which I cover in the shorter version of this study. I hope that you will take the time to read this much longer study because I point out a lot of things that I do not point out in the shorter study. So let us begin this longer version for why we should worship Jesus by taking a close look at why people worshiped Jesus in the Bible even BEFORE God highly exalted him. Again, I cover ALL of the verses of Scripture, including those where worship is given to Almighty God the Father and worship given to men. This is the only way I know to do an “exhaustive” study in God’s word.
Matthew 15:9.
“But in vain they do worship (Strong’s #4576) me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
Mark 7:6.
“He answered and said unto them, Well has Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.” 7. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, (Strong’s #4576) teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” 8. For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such things like you do.”
The commandments of God concerning worship are DIFFERENT in the Old Testament than the commandments of God concerning worship in the New Testament which is the main reason we are not going to cover all the verses on worship in the Old Testament and focus only on the verses on worship in the New Testament. Again, you will see more evidence of why I say this as you continue reading this study in God’s word.
Acts 18:12,13.
“And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat, 13. Saying, This fellow persuades men to worship God (Strong’s #4576) contrary to the law.
So then, was Paul sinning in the eyes of the unsaved Jews simply because he taught what Jesus himself taught him to teach us under the NEW Covenant written in the New Testament? How is it a sin to OBEY Yahweh who put His words in the mouth of His Prophet, Jesus to speak in Yahweh’s NAME? Jesus spoke the words OF Yahweh the Father. So to me, it was the Jews who were the ones DISOBEYING God by NOT worshiping God in Spirit and in TRUTH by their rejecting the NEW Covenant. Worshiping God under the OLD Covenant is called worshiping God in VAIN. Paul is teaching TRUE worship which the Jews wrongly accused him of as worship being CONTRARY to the law of Moses. So God CHANGED the FORMER ways to His NEW THINGS that HE is doing in the earth today and in the world to come. We will talk more about these NEW THINGS further on in this study in God’s word. For now here are a few verses to read that I will explain later even though they are self-explanatory to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.
Isaiah 43:19.
“Behold, I will do a NEW THING; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a WAY in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Isaiah 42:9.
“Behold, the former things are come to pass, and NEW THINGS do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
Isaiah 48:6.
“You have heard, see all this; and will not you declare it? I have shown you NEW THINGS from this time, even hidden things, and you did not know them.”
Jeremiah 31:22.
“How long will you go about, O you backsliding daughter? for the LORD has CREATED a NEW THING in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.”
And WHO is the WOMAN being prophesied here in Jeremiah 31:21? WHO was the WOMAN in whose WOMB compassed the Messiah as being conceived in her womb. The prophesied woman was the Virgin Mary. And when Mary believed the spoken word of God that was spoken to her by the Angel Gabriel when she said, be it done unto me according to your word? That angel said to Mary that that holy THING in you SHALL BE CALLED the Son of God. This was one of the NEW THINGS God prophesied in Isaiah 42:9. At no time before the miraculous virgin birth of Jesus did God create a child in the womb of a woman without a human father. This was a NEW THING that God prophesied would happen. Let us move to the next Greek word translated as worship that is closely related to the Greek word we just looked at which is also translated as worship.
Colossians 2:19-23.
“And NOT holding the Head, from which all the BODY by joints and bands having nourishment MINISTERED, and knit together, increases with the increase of God. 20. Wherefore, if you be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, WHY, as though living in the world, are you subject to ordinances, 21. (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22. Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23. Which things have indeed a SHOW of wisdom in will worship, (Strong’s #1492) and humility, and neglecting of the BODY; not in any honor to the satisfying of the flesh.”
WILL worship is when Christians have the WILL to do God’s WILL but they are not truly worshiping God in Spirit and in TRUTH. They think that they are worshiping God the way that God wants them to worship him, in that, they sincerely and truly believe they are doing the will of God by obeying the ordinances and rudiments written in the Old Testament under the OLD Covenant. So they have a SHOW of WILLING to worship God but they are neglecting the BODY of Jesus Christ by not truly honoring the HEAD of the BODY which is his church. You see, Almighty God the Father MINISTERS to us when we worship and praise His SON. Those of you, who truly worship Jesus as God’s SON and give thanks to God for what Jesus has done for YOU, know and understand the PRESENCE of Yahweh baptizing us with His Spirit by covering us completely being SUBMERSED in His glorious PRESENCE. But “will worship” of ritual religious rudiments and ordinances of church services are not conducive, promotive, or useful to usher in the glorious presence of God. They simply become OBLIGATIONS to perform. And thus their worship is in vain. They do honor God with their lips but not in Spirit and true from their heart. They are just performing ritual service to God out of obligation. Let us move to the next Greek word which is also associated with worshiping God with the ways under the OLD Covenant that have been NAILED to the cross. And thus we, as Christians, do not worship God in those ways under the NEW Covenant written in the New Testament. God is doing NEW THINGS in this age of grace in the church and we are NOT under the OLD Covenant. There is a NEW WAY in which Yahweh desires and seeks to be worshiped under the NEW Covenant by his NEW creatures created in his Son Jesus Christ.
Acts 7:40-42.
“Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what has become of him. 41. And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. 42. Then God turned, and gave them up to worship (Strong’s #3000) the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O you house of Israel, have you offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?”
Acts 24:14.
“But this I confess unto you, that after the way which THEY call heresy, so worship (Strong’s #3000) I the God of my fathers, BELIEVING all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:”
The Jews thought it was heresy and even blaspheming God to worship Jesus. And that is because THEY did not understand and BELIEVE ALL that was written in the law and the prophets. They only understood their Messiah to be a warrior King who would restore the Kingdom to Israel. They did not understand that God prophesied to do NEW THINGS on the earth. So HOW is it a SIN to believe and obey the NEW THINGS that God Himself prophesied will come to pass? The disciples of Jesus understood that it is NOT a sin to worship Jesus and they endured persecution from the Jews because of their worship of Jesus as you can see from this verse we just read.
Philippians 3:1-3.
“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. 2. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. 3. For we are the circumcision, which worship (Strong’s #3000) God in the spirit, and REJOICE in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
You could say, do not pay attention to the Judaizing Jews but rather walk in the NEW Covenant to worship Yahweh the Father in spirit and in truth BY REJOICING in our Lord Jesus Christ. We honor the Father by HONORING his SON Jesus. So never be ashamed to LOVE Jesus with all your heart giving him thanks, praise, and worship because you are glorifying Yahweh the Father by showing your LOVE for his SON. Jesus is WORTHY to be praised! Let us move to the next Greek word which is associated with worshiping in IGNORANCE. Now, one can worship a FALSE god in ignorance but as we have just seen with the three previous Greek words there can also be the worship of the TRUE God in ignorance as well by worshiping Yahweh as taught under the OLD Covenant written in the Old Testament which God no longer desires to be worshiped in that way anymore. Worshiping God in the manner set forth under the Old Covenant is called VAIN worship under the NEW Covenant. In the NEW Covenant Yahweh is doing a NEW THING on the earth.
Acts 17:22-31.
“Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, You men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are too superstitious. 23. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom, therefore, you ignorantly worship, (Strong’s #2151. So while they believed in a higher God above all their other gods they did not understand who this supreme God was. But Paul says to them) HIM declare I unto you. (I will continue to highlight in orange all the words or pronouns that refer back to Yahweh the Almighty God whom Paul is declaring who He is. And I will highlight in yellow all the words that refer to Jesus our Lord) 24. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands; 25. Neither is (HE, the ONLY TRUE God) worshiped (Strong’s #2323) with men's hands, as though HE needed anything, seeing HE gives to all life, and breath, and all things; 26. And (HE Almighty God the Father) has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and (HE) has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27. That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He is not far from every one of us: 28. For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring. 29. Forasmuch then, as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. (Notice that the or the HEAD God is ONE Godhead in ONE person. The Greek word translated as Godhead is SINGULAR and all of the pronouns referring back to God as being the Creator are all singular) 30. And the times of this ignorance God winked at, but now commands all men everywhere to repent: 31. Because HE has appointed a day, in the which HE will judge the world in righteousness BY that MAN whom HE has ORDAIN; whereof HE has given assurance unto all men, in that HE has raised HIM from the dead.”
So then, according to Luke, who wrote the book of Acts, the GODHEAD is the ONE TRUE God in ONE person who is the Father ALONE. And the Son of MAN Jesus has now become God’s eternal Son whom God has highly exalted and BY whom Yahweh the Father will judge the world. Some may argue that Jesus is not a MAN because no MAN would ever be given authority to JUDGE the world. And, therefore, to THEM, they wrongly conclude that Jesus MUST be Yahweh Himself.
Please read 1 Corinthians 6:2,3.
“Do you not know that the SAINTS shall JUDGE the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3. Know you not that we shall JUDGE angels? how much more the things that pertain to this life?”
Are we not men, human beings? And has not God given us the HONOR to execute HIS JUDGMENT?
Psalm 149:4-9.
“For the LORD takes pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. 5. Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. 6. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7. To execute vengeance (At the COMING of Jesus and NOT before Jesus returns. The two-edged sword is the WORD of God and NOT a literal sword) upon the heathen and punishments upon the people; 8. To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9. To execute upon them the judgment WRITTEN: this honor has ALL his saints. Praise you the LORD.”
So since God has promised to give to us as men or as humans the honor and the authority to judge the world then why is it so hard to believe that Jesus is a MAN whom his God and Father ANOINTED or COMMISSIONED to accomplish His will and then God HIGHLY EXALTED the Son of MAN giving him his own GLORY the glory OF the Father to be having in himself? Let us move on to the next Greek word that is found in a parable of Jesus where men receive worship.
Luke 14:7-11.
“And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; (Or when Jesus perceived their PRIDE exalting themselves above others) saying unto them, 8. When you are bidden of any man to a wedding, sit NOT down in the highest room; lest a more honorable man than you be bidden of him; 9. And then, he who has invited you and him and he comes and says to you, Give this man the place; (Or you are in this man’s place so you are going to have to take a lower place) and you begin with shame to take the lowest room. 10. But when you are bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that invited you comes (Or returns), he may say unto you, Friend, go up higher: then shall YOU have worship (Strong’s #1391) in the presence of them that sit at meat with you. 11. For whoever exalts himself shall be abased, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.” I believe this parable of Jesus parallels Revelation 3:9 where Jesus will make MEN come and WORSHIP at OUR feet in the world to come.

“I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have NOT denied my name. 9. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them come and worship (Strong’s #4352) before YOUR feet, and to know that I have loved YOU. (Now, this is the SAME Greek word that is used for worshiping Almighty God Himself. But yet, Jesus will make MEN come a WORSHIP at OUR feet in the world to come. So how can this be when Jesus told Satan to worship God and Him ONLY you shall SERVE? When I went back and read these words of Jesus in Matthew and in Luke, I noticed the phrase “Him ONLY you shall SERVE” and NOT Him only you shall WORSHIP. In other words, when people obey Satan by disobeying Almighty God, then they are SERVING Satan. And by serving Satan they are WORSHIPING Satan even though they do not realize that by living in sin is actually worshiping Satan. So to me Jesus is simply saying to SERVE ONLY the one true and only Almighty God which is how He desires to be worshiped. Jesus said that the FATHER seeks us to worship Him in Spirit and in truth) 10. Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (This HOUR of temptation is the WRATH of God to which we, who are in Jesus Christ, are not appointed. But the Jews and the Muslims who exalt themselves above the Jews will suffer the WRATH of God along with the unrighteous Gentiles. In other words, every person who is NOT in Jesus Christ when he returns will suffer the WRATH of Almighty God executed by the hands of his Son Jesus) 11. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you have, that no man take your crown.” So do NOT deny Jesus by taking the mark of the beast system by converting to Islam which DENIES that Jesus is the SON OF the living God. And do not deny Jesus his HONOR for by NOT worshiping Jesus even as you worship the Father he is WORTHY because it is Yahweh’s WILL that we HONOR his Son EVEN as we HONOR Almighty God, Yahweh, the Father.
Please read John 5:19-27.
“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do NOTHING OF himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things soever he does, these also do the Son likewise. 20. For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that Himself does: (In other words, it is the Father HIMSELF doing the works. Jesus is the TEMPLE of Yahweh who was DWELLING in the Son of MAN Jesus to empower His human Son) and He will show him greater works than these that you may marvel. 21. For as the Father raises up the dead, and quickens them; even so the Son quickens whom he will. (And WHY will God’s Son be able to raise the dead and give eternal life to whomever Jesus chooses to give eternal life to? Is it because Jesus is Yahweh himself or is it because Yahweh GAVE the Son of MAN this power and authority to raise the dead and give eternal life to whom he judges as being WORTHY? What does the Bible ITSELF teach us? Keep reading and then you will be able to answer these questions for yourself according to what the Bible itself teaches) 22. FOR (Or BECAUSE) the Father judges no man BUT has committed ALL judgment unto the Son: 23. THAT (Or so that) all men should honor the Son, EVEN AS they honor the Father. He that honor NOT the Son honors NOT the Father which has sent him. (So if you do not honor, praise, and give thanks to Jesus to see that he is WORTHY of such worship then you are NOT giving true honor and worship to the Father. How can you truly HONOR God’s Son if you believe and teach that Jesus is just a MODE or manifestation of God and that Jesus is NOT a real separate person from the Father having his own spirit, soul, body, and will? How can you truly HONOR Yahweh’s SON when you believe and teach that Jesus is Yahweh HIMSELF?) 24. Verily, verily, (Or Truly, truly) I say unto you, he that hears my word, and believes in him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (Jesus came in the NAME of Yahweh to show us the Father as the ONLY TRUE God and that he was COMMISSIONED BY Yahweh to speak for Yahweh his God and Father) 25. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the SON OF God: and they that hear shall live. (WHY? Why will the dead obey the voice of the Son of God?) 26. FOR (Or BECAUSE) as the Father has life in Himself; so has He GIVEN TO the Son to have life in himself; (The LITERAL translation reads "to be having life in himself.) 27. AND has GIVEN him authority to execute judgment ALSO, BECAUSE he is the Son of MAN.
Almighty God inspired His prophets to write the Bible and I must tell my readers and hearers what the Bible ITSELF teaches us. It was because Jesus was the Son of MAN first before he, the Son of MAN Jesus became God’s ETERNAL Son as to WHY we worship God’s SON even as we worship Yahweh the Father. The Lamb SLAIN was found to be WORTHY to RECEIVE power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing, according to Revelation 5:12. The TRUTH of the matter is that Jesus was BORN to be King. And it is prophesied that we are to kiss the feet of the Son which is to WORSHIP God’s Son and King. For you see, all of the glory goes to Almighty God the Father, according to Philippians 2:8-11. Let us now continue with the last Greek word translated as “worship” which is used most of the time in the New Testament. Again, it is the Greek word “PROSKUNEO” found 35 times in the New Testament which is the SAME Greek word used in Revelation 3:9 where Jesus will make MEN come and WORSHIP at OUR feet in the world to come to show that Jesus loves us.
Revelation 3:9.
“Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and WORSHIP before your feet, (Strong’s #4352) and to know that I have loved YOU.”
Keep in mind as we go through the following verses that have the SAME Greek word “PROSKUNEO” Strong’s #4352 which is the SAME Greek word used in speaking of the worship that is given to Yahweh Himself which we just saw in the above verses is the SAME worship that Jesus will make men bow at our feet and give to us who overcome in the world to come. In other words, the SAME Greek word used for the worship of Yahweh is the SAME Greek word used for the worship of MEN. Glorified men and women, but still yet HUMAN glorified men and women. So why is it so hard for some Christians to see that the Son of MAN Jesus is a HUMAN being who was GLORIFIED by Yahweh to give glory to his God and Father? Are we not SERVING Yahweh when we serve His Son, Jesus? And thus, when we give glory, honor, praise, and thanksgiving to Jesus for what he did for us on the cross, then we are glorifying and worshiping the ONLY TRUE God who Jesus clearly identified as being the Father in John 17:1-3. Now let us see what the Bible itself teaches us about WORSHIPING Jesus. As I said a moment ago, the TRUTH of the matter is that Jesus was BORN to be WORSHIPED.
Matthew 2:1,2.
“Now when Jesus was BORN in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2. Saying, Where is he that is BORN King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and have come to worship him. (Strong’s #4352)”
Here in these verses of Scripture, we see that Jesus was BORN. And that one of the reasons that THIS chosen CHILD was born is that he was BORN to become the King of the Jews. And shortly, we will see that when Jesus returns to the earth, he will rule FOR Yahweh as His King of kings. We will also see that it was Yahweh Himself MADE His firstborn Son to be a King HIGHER than the kings of the earth. And we will see that Yahweh will also make every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord TO the glory OF God the Father when God brings His firstborn Son back into the world, according to Hebrews 1:6. Please read Psalm 89:27. I will highlight the words in orange referring to Yahweh who is the one speaking in PROPHECY concerning his Messiah. And I will highlight in yellow the words referring to Yahweh’s Messiah who will become God’s firstborn eternal Son just as God has prophesied.
Here is Psalm 89:27 from the King James Version.
“Also I will make HIM my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.”
HIn other words, God’s Son had to be BORN FIRST before God could MAKE His FIRST BORN Son higher than the kings of the earth. Keep in mind that PROPHECY is to foretelling of FUTURE events and things that do not yet literally exist.
Here is Psalm 89:27 from the Bible in Basic English.
“And I will make him the FIRST of my sons, most high over the kings of the earth.”
And is not Jesus called the FIRSTBORN among many BRETHREN, the FIRSTBORN from the DEAD in the New Testament?

“Yes, I'll make him the one born FIRST— I'll make him the high king of all earth's kings.”
Here is Psalm 89:27 from the Wycliffe Bible.
“And I shall SET him the first begotten son; higher than the kings of earth. (And I shall make him my first-born son; higher than all the kings of the earth.)” PAnd WHO did Almighty God HIGHLY EXALT to become His King of kings and Lord of lords? It was NOT King David, but rather, King David is a figure of a shadow pointing to God’s Messiah who God prophesied to SET as His King of kings. For you see, Psalm 89:27 is a prophecy of God’s Messiah because king David was NOT the FIRST begotten son of Jesse. And neither was king David God’s firstborn Son. Can you not see that Jesus is the FULFILLMENT of the prophecies of God’s Messiah whom Yahweh chose to be the Savior of the world. Can you not see that before the foundation of the world Yahwen chose for his LAMB to be SLAIN in His mind’s eye of PROPHECY. God spoke His word PROPHESYING the end FROM the BEGINNING. Now some Christians dogmatically demand that Jesus is Yahweh himself being fully the Almighty God and fully a human being at the same time having two natures, one divine, and one human. But the word of TRUTH clearly teaches us that God is NOT a MAN and neither is God the Son of MAN. Please read Numbers 23:18,19 which is a hidden prophecy of God’s Messiah and the waster, Satan, rising up to kill God’s Messiah. Satan is “a” waster who will be cast into “THE” waster, the lake of everlasting fire that God prepared FOR Satan, the devil, and the fallen angels. In other words, God did not create Lucifer to be Satan.
Numbers 23:18,19.
“And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, (The name Balak means WASTER or one who destroys. And rise up means to accomplish. PRIDE rose up in Lucifer to make war with God to become God’s ENEMY who has set his own heart to steal kill and DESTROY God’s creation including destroying the earth itself) and hear; hearken unto me, you son of Zippor: (The name Zippor means son of little bird. Satan is like a puny little bird compared to Yahweh) 19. God is NOT a MAN, that He should lie; NEITHER the son of MAN, that He should repent: has He SAID, and shall he not do it? Or has He SPOKEN, and shall He not make it good?”
To me, verse 19 speaks as if God knew that MEN would invent a man-made doctrine that would wrongly teach that the Son of MAN, Jesus, is Almighty God Himself in the flesh having two natures at the same time during the days of his flesh, one divine and one human. So God is teaching us that He is NOT the Son of MAN, His human Son, Jesus. For you see, the Hebrew word translated as “man” in verse 19 means THAT man or that PARTICULAR man who is the Son of MAN. Again, God spoke into being the end FROM the BEGINNING. ALL the prophecies written in both the Old Testament and in the New Testament WILL come to pass. And Satan, the thief who comes not but for to steal, kill, and destroy has risen up and killed God’s Messiah but had he KNOWN the consequence of crucifying the Son of MAN Jesus he would NOT have crucified the Lord of glory. God kept His plan of salvation a SECRET from His enemy Satan. There are many HIDDEN prophecies in the Old Testament and in the New Testament as well. So then, now that you understand that Yahweh Himself is NOT a MAN and neither is Yahweh the Son of MAN, I pray that you can see the truth of the WHOLE word of Almighty God who alone is the Father. The truth of the matter is that it was Yahweh Himself who MADE the Son of MAN Jesus to become His firstborn ETERNAL Son after the cross and resurrection. And that Yahweh also MADE to become a King higher than the kings of the earth. Now, God did not FORCE the Son of man Jesus to do anything, but rather, God’s TAUGHT the Son of man his future GLORY if the Son of man would obey him. God set a joy before Jesus to endure the cross, according to Hebrews 12:2. And BECAUSE the Son of man obeyed his God and Father then Yahweh MADE or SET Jesus to be both Lord and Christ, according to Acts 2:36. Let us look at another prophecy of Jesus which teaches us that a HUMAN CHILD would be BORN first and THEN this Son of MAN would be given to become God’s Savior to save the people from their sins. Please read the prophecy of God’s Messiah in Isaiah 9:6,7 where we can clearly see that God is prophesying that a HUMAN CHILD will be BORN FIRST and THEN that Son of MAN would be GIVEN. In other words, the Bible itself teaches us that it was God’s HUMAN Son who was GIVEN to suffer and die on the cross for the sins of the world and NOT some eternal God the Son, the second person of a Godhead Trinity, who was sent down to the earth to be given or lifted up on the cross.
Isaiah 9:6,7.
“For unto us a CHILD is BORN, unto us, a son is given: (According to the fulfillment written in the New Testament the Son that was GIVEN to suffer and die on the cross was the CHILD who was BORN of the Virgin Mary. Jesus said that the Son of MAN was lifted up) and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his NAME SHALL BE called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. (This is a PROPHECY of future events and not a historical account of a God the Son who has always existed in the eternity past without ever having a beginning. Please notice WHEN Jesus will be given his new NAME. It is AFTER the cross WHEN the government will be laid upon his shoulders in the world to come that Jesus will be CALLED by the NAME of TITLE of Mighty God. Thomas called Jesus Lord and God AFTER the cross. The Father calls Jesus God AFTER the cross. It was BECAUSE Jesus loved righteousness and hated iniquity that Jesus INHERITED the worlds to come) 7. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts WILL PERFORM this.”
The first thing that I want you to notice is WHO is the one doing or performing all of this? Who is the one that brings His own spoken word of prophecy to pass? Who is PERFORMING or FULFILLING His own spoken word of prophecy that came forth OUT FROM the MOUTH of God? It is Yahweh Himself who alone and by Himself came up with HIS OWN PLAN of SALVATION as to how HE alone and by Himself has chosen to reconcile man back to Himself. Please read 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 first and then we will come back to Isaiah 9:6.7.
2 Corinthians 5:19-20.
“And all things (First notice that the word “things” is NOT in the original text and the LITERAL translation reads THE ALL) are OF God (Speaking of God’s NEW CREATION who are created IN his Son Jesus the Christ. So then it is Yahweh), who has reconciled us (Speaking of THE ALL who heard the gospel and BELIEVE) to Himself byJesus Christ, (Or through Jesus ANOINTED) and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19. To wit, that God was inChrist, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray that you be in Christ's stead, be reconciled TO God.”
Notice that it is Almighty God the Father who is reconciling those who believe, to Himself. We are reconciled to God and NOT reconciled to Jesus, His ANOINTED servant. So just as Jesus was an AMBASSADOR for his God and Father who preached the coming Kingdom in God’s STEAD or for the SAKE OF his God and Father, NOW are we Ambassadors for Jesus in his STEAD or in his NAME preaching HIS gospel which God gave to him to give to us to preach to the world. We do not preach the gospel, cast out devils, and heal the sick in our OWN name but rather we are Ambassadors FOR Jesus Christ reconciling people to God as the BODY of Jesus Christ. We are his hands, his feet, his ears, his eyes, and his mouth. We are the VOICE of Jesus the same as Jesus was the VOICE of Yahweh in Yahweh’s STEAD. And the Son of man, Jesus was the ARM of the Lord speaking only the words that Yahweh told him to speak through his Holy Spirit DWELLING IN Jesus. The Bible itself clearly teaches us that God was IN the Son of MAN Jesus as opposed to what Orthodox Christianity WRONGLY teaches which is that Jesus was Yahweh himself in the flesh being fully the Almighty God and fully a human being at the same time having two natures, one divine, and one human. Now the Bible itself DEFINES the meaning of DIVINE nature FOR us. And the sound Biblical definition of divine nature is NOT the same as Orthodox Christianity teaches.
Please read 2 Peter 1:2-4.
“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, AND of (The knowledge of) Jesus our Lord, (The Bible teaches us in John 17:1-3 that if we want to receive eternal life in the world to come then we must KNOW and understand that Yahweh the FATHER is the ONLY TRUE God. The devils even know this truth but they tremble knowing that they crucified the Son of MAN as an INNOCENT man. So the WHOLE truth is that we must believe in BOTH Yahweh the Father AND in his Son Jesus who suffered and died on the cross and whom God raised from the dead and GLORIFIED giving the Son of MAN Jesus his own DIVINE NATURE of immortality never to die again) 3. According as HIS DIVINE power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue: (We are called to be glorified by the true gospel of Jesus Christ. The true gospel of our salvation is how we have KNOWLEDGE of our Messiah Jesus) 4. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious PROMISES: that by these (The promises of God written in His word on how to overcome sin) YOU might be partakers of the DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
There is only ONE divine nature and that is the divine nature of Almighty God the Father Yahweh Himself who GAVE His GLORY of divine nature of IMMORTALITY to the Son of MAN Jesus after the cross to be having in himself even as the Father has always possessed the divine nature of immortality in Himself. Please read the three part study “O-14. WHEN DID JESUS BECOME GOD’S ETERNAL SON? Part 1” for all the verses that prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that Jesus did NOT pre-exist AS God the SON, the second person of a so-called Godhead Trinity God. But for now, let us continue with this study in God’s word on should we WORSHIP Jesus. As I said early the reason Jesus was BORN to be WORSHIPED TO the GLORY OF God the Father. But some Christians argue and dogmatically demand that if Jesus is NOT Yahweh Himself, then those Christians who worship Jesus are IDOLATERS and sinners because they are disobeying the words of Jesus in 4:9,10 where Satan tempts Jesus to worship him and Jesus rebukes him and says worship God only? They argue that those Christians who believe and teach that Jesus is God, but that he is not THE ALMIGHTY God Himself, then they are worshiping a FALSE God. For you see, to THEM, if Jesus is not the ONLY TRUE God then he must be a FALSE God because the opposite or TRUE is FALSE. And thus, to them, we who believe and teach that Jesus is NOT Yahweh Himself, are worshiping a false idol god. Now they worship the SAME Jesus, but in their minds Jesus is one and the SELF-SAME BEING as the ONLY TRUE God. Well, to me, since the Bible itself states as a FACT that Yahweh the Father calls His Son God who is a God under and subject to Yahweh the ONLY true and ALMIGHTY God, then Jesus cannot be one and the self-same being as Almighty God Himself. For you see, if Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh, then how can an Almighty God have ANOTHER God over Him? And God is the God OF His Son Jesus. So then, the WORSHIP of Jesus is because God ORDAINED His human Son to be worshiped. For you see, Yahweh will make all men WORSHIP His Son in the world to come TO the glory of the Father. And since it is God’s ordained WILL to worship Jesus, then that is good enough for ME to worship Jesus even as I worship the Father TO the glory OF God the Father right now in this present world as my Lord and Savior who suffered and died for my sins. Know you not that Jesus was MADE Lord AFTER the cross? We will cover this more in-depth further on in this study but for now, let us take a closer look at what Jesus says in Matthew 4:9,10 which is also stated again in Luke 4:7,8 that you can look up later for yourself.
Matthew 4:9,10.
“And said unto him, All these things will I give you if you will fall down and WORSHIP (Strong’s #4352) me. (Just as a side note for all those who worship Satan, the Greek word translated as the phrase “IF you” does not carry with it a guaranteed promise like the first two temptations of Jesus. In other words, Satan may give you riches now in this present world for SERVING him, but they are NOT yours to KEEP. All the treasures and riches of this world are laid up for the JUST who will inherit the earth to rule and reign with Jesus for 1000 years in the world to come) 10. Then said Jesus unto him, Get you hence, Satan: for it is written, You shall WORSHIP (The SAME Strong’s #4352 that Jesus uses in Revelation 3: when Jesus will make MEN come and WORSHIP at our feet in the world to come that Jesus uses here to WORSHIP) the Lord your God, AND Him ONLY shall you SERVE.”
Notice that the Greek word translated as “SERVE” is Strong’s #3000, which also means WORSHIP. But it also means that SERVING God by obeying His WILL is a form of worshiping God. So then, Satan was tempting the ANOINTED Son of MAN Jesus to give him the same kind of worship that is given to Yahweh the Creator in the OLD Testament under the OLD Covenant which was SERVING Yahweh under the OLD Covenant Law of Moses. Jesus was born under the law and he kept the law of God perfectly, but the Old Covenant is NOT the WHOLE word of Almighty God Yahweh. At this point in time of Jesus being tempted to worship the devil, the NEW Covenant had NOT yet been established in the shed blood of the Son of MAN Jesus. Remember that we have already talked about the manner of worship in the Old Testament is VAIN worship, because we are now under God’s NEW Covenant where some CHANGES have been made concerning HOW Yahweh desires and seeks to be worshiped by those of us who are under His New Covenant written in the New Testament. For you see, God never shared His glory with anyone in the Old Testament, but God prophesied that He would give His glory to another. speaking of His chosen Messiah and the Messiah’s BODY, the church. Again, remember that God prophesied that He would do NEW THINGS. And NEW things mean God made some CHANGES from the OLD Covenant when He established His NEW Covenant in the shed blood of the Son of MAN Jesus. And one of those CHANGES from the old to the new is that God prophesied that He would SHARE His GLORY with His ANOINTED servant, His Messiah and that we are to honor God’s SON even as we honor Yahweh the Father.

Isaiah 40:1-10.
“Behold MY SERVANT, whom I uphold; MY elect, in whom MY soul delights; I have put MY Spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. (The subject of the CONTEXT of verse 10 is Yahweh’s MESSIAH, His chosen one, to be His Christ to save the people from their sins.) 2. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 3. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 4. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he has set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 5. Thus says God the LORD, He that created the heavens, and stretched them out; He that spread forth the earth, and that which comes out of it; He that gives breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: (Including giving mortal breath to the Son of MAN Jesus just like every other human being who have their OWN spirit and their OWN soul and their OWN free will. So ALSO God gave to the Son of MAN Jesus. God has given His Spirit to the Son of MAN, Jesus, the same as He gives His Spirit of mortal life to all human beings) 6. I the LORD have called YOU in righteousness, and (I Yahweh) will hold YOUR hand, and (I Yahweh)will keep YOU, and (I Yahweh) give YOU for a COVENANT of the people, (I Yahweh YOU) for a light of the Gentiles; 7. To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8. I am the LORD:(Or I am Yahweh) that is my NAME:(The LITERAL translation reads “HE NAME of ME. Jesus came in the NAME OF Yahweh. Jesus came in the NAME OF Yahweh. In the context of verse one, I would read this phrase as “THAT’S MY BOY in who I am well PLEASED. I have GIVEN him my very OWN NAME) and my GLORY will I not give to ANOTHER, neither my praise to graven images. (Oneness Christians WRONGLY interpret verse 10 OUT of its context and dogmatically demand that Yahweh will not give His glory to anyone ever. And they ignore the FACT that God the Father has indeed GLORIFIED the Son of MAN with HIS GLORY AFTER the cross. And Trinitarians do the same thing, but at least they admit that God gave His OWN glory to His Son, but they are confused as to WHEN Jesus was glorified. Some Trinitarians say that God glorified His Son in the eternity past. Other Trinitarian Christians claim that Jesus was glorified at his Virgin birth. BUT, the Bible itself teaches us that it was the Son of MAN who was glorified to RECEIVE the glory of the Father AFTER the cross which was PROMISED to him in the Scriptures. See John 17:5 and then read the study “V-44. DOES JOHN 17:5 TEACH THAT JESUS PRE-EXISTED?”) 9. Behold, the FORMER THINGS are come to pass, and NEW THINGS do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. (The former things are the things under the OLD Covenant. And the NEW THINGS are under the NEW COVENANT and things written in the New Testament.) 10. Sing unto the LORD a NEW SONG, and his praise from the end of the earth, you that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.” You do well IF you learn this NEW SONG BEFORE the COMING of Jesus so that you can live and reign WITH Jesus in the world to come.
Revelation 5:9.
“And they sang a NEW SONG, saying, You (Jesus, Son OF the living God) are WORTHY to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: FOR (Or BECAUSE) you were SLAIN (as an innocent Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world), and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;”
So it is NOT that we worship Jesus as being Almighty God Himself, but rather, because a MAN who was ordained to be SLAIN as God’s LAMB was found WORTHY to to RECEIVE power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing, according to Revelation 5:12. But for now, please read Revelation 15:3.
Revelation 15:3.
“And THEY (The Jews who are trying to please God by obeying the OLD Covenant in this PRESENT world sing the song of Moses. But the REMNANT of Jews will LEARN the NEW SONG of the LAMB during the world to come. And ONLY the Jews who learn this NEW SONG of the Lamb NOW, in this present world will be numbered among the number of the SAINTS who receive ETERNAL LIFE. And the REMNANT of Jesus left alive at the COMING of Jesus will) sing the song of Moses the servant of God, AND the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are your WORKS, Lord God Almighty; (AND) just and true are your ways, you King of saints.”
There are TWO songs of WORSHIP. The song of Moses is sung to Yahweh, the Lord God Almighty. And the NEW SONG is sung to the Lamb the SON OF Almighty God the Father TO the GLORY OF the Father. So then, what does the New Testament teach us AFTER the CROSS about worshiping Jesus? Do we see that the Bible itself is teaching us to worship God’s LAMB sacrificed for the sins of the world? Yes, that is what I see. Now see if YOU yourself see Jesus being WORSHIPED both before and AFTER the CROSS, but NOT that Jesus was being worshiped as Yahweh himself. Rather, understand that those who did indeed worship Jesus in the New Testament understood that Jesus was the Christ, the SON OF God. They understood that the PROPHECIES spoke of him as being their Messiah and their King. They were waiting for the prophecies to be fulfilled where a CHILD would be BORN to become the King of the Jews. You will NOT find one single verse where anyone worshiped Jesus AS BEING Yahweh Himself. So calling Jesus “God” is NOT worshiping Jesus as BEING Yahweh the Father the ONLY true God. The word “God” is a TITLE. There are dozens of verses that clearly teach us that Jesus is NOT the Father. The disciples of Jesus always clearly identified the Father as being God, as in, the FATHER is THE Almighty God ALONE. And the Apostles of Jesus saw or understood Jesus to be the SON OF Almighty God the Father who made the Son of Man Jesus be both Lord and Christ after the cross and resurrection. The word “LORD and Lord” is also a TITLE just the same as the words “KING, King, and king” are a TITLE. So the TITLE of Jesus being the King of kings does not make the kings under Jesus to be equal in every way with Jesus. It simply means that they are also a king but a lower king under and subject to a higher King who is under and subject to the HIGHEST Eternal KING Yahweh the Father. Now, whether you realize it or not, according to John 10:34,35, Yahweh PROPHESIED that we shall be called god under His God, Jesus, who is under and subject to his God who MADE His human Son a God to rule FOR Him in the world to come. The English word translated as worship in the past tense is found 29 times. And five of those times it is translated from a different Greek word than Strong’s #4352. Those five different times are found in Acts 16:14; 17:25; 18:7 / Romans 1:25, and 2 Thessalonians 2:4, and all five of those Greek words are associated with the wrong kind of worship as compared to the TRUE worship of Yahweh and his Son as is taught in the New Testament. So the other 24 times we find the English word “worshiped” they are all translated from Strong’s # 4352, which is the SAME Greek word used to speak of the worship given to Yahweh Almighty God and the God and Father OF our Lord Jesus HIS Christ, and to MEN, as in, the saints GLORIFIED of the Father. Let us now take a close look at these 24 verses.
Matthew 2:11.
“And when they have come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and WORSHIPED him (Strong’s # 4352): and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.”
These wise men understood that the prophecies were foretelling that a CHILD would be BORN and that he would grow up to be their Messiah who would become the King of the Jews. They were NOT worshiping the infant Jesus as being Yahweh Himself. But rather, they were worshiping their future King that Yahweh prophesied to SET over them. There is not one single prophecy of Yahweh Himself coming down from heaven to be BORN as a human child. Now, I myself do indeed teach that Yahweh creates all things out from himself as opposed to creating all things out of NOTHING. So in that sense, Yahweh manifested Himself to become the Son of man. But that does NOT mean that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh, but rather, it means that God CREATED Jesus OUT FORM Himself. Please read the study called “M-8. DID GOD CREATE ALL THINGS OUT OF NOTHING? ”. Can you not see that all Scripture must agree and Numbers 23:19 and Hosea 11:9 which clearly teaches us that God is NOT a MAN or the Son of MAN. And thus. it is impossible for Jesus to have been FULLY Almighty God and fully a human being at the SAME time having two natures during the days of his FLESH, one divine, and one human. BUT, God can manifest Himself for a rock to be created, but that rock would NOT be the divine Yahweh Himself. That rock would NOT have any DIVINE NATURE. That rock would not be a rock and yet remain Almighty God Himself having two natures at the same time. Let us continue.
Matthew 8:2.
“And, behold, there came a leper and worshiped him, (Strong’s # 4352) saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.”
What did the leper SAY? Did the leper say to Jesus, I worship you Jesus for I know that you are Yahweh Himself in the flesh, and if it is your will then I know that you can heal me because you are the Almighty God Himself? The word translated as Lord here means Master, which also means teacher. So the leper was simply saying, Master, I know that you have the ability to heal me, but I am not sure that you will heal me. He was NOT worshiping Jesus as being Almighty God Yahweh himself. Each one of these verses tells us HOW they worshiped Jesus. All we need to do is to pay attention to what they SAID as they were worshiping Jesus.
Matthew 9:18.
“While he spoke these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshiped him, (Strong’s # 4352) saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay your hand upon her, and she shall live.”
So then, what did this certain ruler SAY? Did he say, I worship you Jesus for I know that you are Yahweh Himself come down from heaven to become a man? No! This man was simply bowing down to a man that he understood that God was WITH him. For you see, this man had heard that Jesus was healing people. And we know that Jesus could do NOTHING of himself, according to John 5:19. And according to John 14:10, we understand that it was the Father DWELLING in Jesus who was actually doing the works of healing.
Please read John 3:2.
“The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that you are a TEACHER come from God: for no MAN can do these miracles that you do, except God be WITH him.”
Everyone who saw Jesus saw him as a MAN whom God was WITH as to how Jesus did the miracles men saw him do. The Jews understood that Jesus was a TEACH of God’s word that God sent to them. They understood that Jesus is the one PROPHESIED in the Scriptures that God promised to raise up from among the people. So why then do some Christians INTERPRET this verse in the way that this certain ruler was worshiping Jesus as being Yahweh Himself? Well, I will tell you why they MUST interpret the Scriptures as Jesus being Almighty God Himself in the flesh. They do so because they NEED to find any verse that they can use to TRY and prove that the Son of MAN, Jesus, is Yahweh Himself incarnated or manifested in the flesh. Otherwise, their man-made doctrine of the Deity of Jesus, their man-made doctrine of the Trinity, and their man-made doctrine of Oneness Pentecostalism that ALL wrongly teach that Jesus is Almighty God Himself will fall completely apart. Therefore, all three of these man-made doctrine MUST interpret that Scriptures as Jesus being fully Almighty God and fully man at the same time having two natures at the same time, one divine, and one human during the days of his FLESH to all three man-made doctrines fall apart. Please understand that I do indeed believe and teach that Jesus is DEITY, but NOT in the same way that so-called Orthodox Christianity teaches. But rather, I teach what the Bible ITSELF teaches, which is that Jesus came OUT FROM the ONLY true and WISE Deity as the spoken word of Almighty God coming forth out from His own mouth to become FLESH. And then. that flesh was ANOINTED with a portion of the eternal Deity to dwell in him. And then, that anointed Son of MAN was highly exalted by his God and Father to BECOME a Deity after the cross by being GIVEN Deity to rule FOR the highest Deity, Almighty God Yahweh the Father for ONLY 1000 years in the world to come.
Matthew 14:33.
“Then they that were in the ship came and worshiped him, (Strong’s # 4352) saying, Of a truth, you are the Son of God.”
What were the disciples of Jesus SAYING? Were they saying, we worship you, Jesus, because of a truth we know that you are Almighty God Yahweh Himself incarnate in the flesh? NO! That is NOT what they said as to why they worshiped Jesus. They said of a TRUTH, you, Jesus are the SON OF God. The disciples of Jesus knew right well that Jesus is the Christ, the SON OF the living God who was prophesied by Almighty God Yahweh to come into existence.
Matthew 15:25.
“Then came she and worshipped him,(Strong’s # 4352) saying, Lord, help me.”
Now, what did she SAY? Did she say I worship you, Yahweh, Lord God Almighty help me? Again, the word translated as the word “Lord” here simply means Master or TEACHER. The word “Lord” is a TITLE. There are many lords. If you read the CONTEXT you will see that she knew that Jesus was the one prophesied to come because she called Jesus the son of David in verse 22. This woman did NOT worship Jesus as being Almighty God Himself in the flesh.
Matthew 15:22.
“And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coast, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, you Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.”
So then, she understood that Jesus had authority from God to heal her daughter because it was prophesied that the Messiah would be the son of David. She was NOT worshiping Jesus as being Yahweh Himself.
Matthew 18:26.
“The servant, therefore, fell down, and worshiped him, (Strong’s # 4352) saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.”
This is a parable of Jesus likening a debt owed to God which the children of Israel could not pay. That debt was their obedience to do all the Law of Moses to the letter which they broke continually. The context is about forgiveness of sins under the NEW COVENANT. And when God saw this servant’s HEART to serve God then God forgave all his debt. It is about the mercy of God. So when we worship Jesus we are glorifying the Father. This does NOT mean that we are worshiping Jesus as BEING the Father, but rather, we are worshiping the NOW glorified Son of MAN who has become WORTHY by laying down his own life of his own free will to suffer and die on the cross for us. Now, if that does not bring tears of joy, thanksgiving, and praise to your eyes, then you do not know the TRUE Jesus, your BROTHER. I fell in love with Jesus all the more after learning his true NATURE of being FULLY a human being during the days of his flesh. This TRUTH freed me from the bondage of sin. Please read the study “F-12. HOW YOU CAN LIVE YOUR LIFE FREE FROM SIN!”
Matthew 28:9.
“And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshiped him. (Strong’s # 4352)”
Now, this verse is speaking of AFTER the cross where a CHANGE has come to pass which is that the NEW COVENANT has now been established in the shed blood of Jesus. The Son of MAN has NOW been GLORIFIED with the glory of Yahweh the Father to be GIVEN the DIVINE NATURE of immortality to be having in himself even as the Father has always possessed the divine nature of immortality in himself as the SOURCE of all life and creation, both mortal life and eternal life. Jesus is still not yet crowned as the King of kings, but God has made him both Lord and Christ.
Acts 2:36.
“Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God HAS MADE that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, BOTH Lord and Christ.”
Now, seeing that Jesus was MADE to become Lord, then how does that agree with the man-made doctrine of the Trinity which teaches that Jesus pre-existed as the ONE LORD in three separate persons? I mean how can the ONE LORD be MADE another Lord under Himself and still remain the LORD over Himself? The TRUTH of the matter is that BEFORE Yahweh MADE His human Son be both Lord and Christ there was only ONE Lord in eternity past. In other words, BEFORE the CROSS there was only ONE God in ONE person in the eternity past. The word Christ means ANOINTED and Yahweh ANOINTED the Son of MAN Jesus at his baptism. But Jesus did not actually become God’s Messiah or Savior until AFTER the cross and resurrection. And Jesus was made God’s Lord of lords after the cross when God highly exalted the Son of MAN. And whatever Yahweh makes BELONGS TO Yahweh including HIS Christ. And what BELONGS TO Yahweh can NOT BE Yahweh Himself. Yes, Jesus was called Lord during his ministry before the cross, but they understood Jesus as being their master, their teacher, and NOT as being Yahweh Himself.
Luke 2:26.
“And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.”
Jesus was Yahweh’s CHRIST, his anointed Messiah. See also Acts 4:26 and do your own research by looking up the phrase “His Christ” in a concordance. Jesus is a POSSESSION of Almighty God.
Acts 4:26.
“The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against HIS Christ.”
Just like our children belong to us, God’s children belong to HIM. The Son of MAN Jesus is Yahweh’s FIRSTBORN Son, the firstborn among MANY BRETHREN. But right now in this present world, Jesus is called God’s ONLY begotten Son. But in the world to come, God will have MANY sons and daughters. Let us continue with the verses with the word “worshiped” in them.
Matthew 28:17.
“And when they saw him, they worshiped him: (Strong’s # 4352) but some doubted.”
Again, this verse is speaking after the cross which is when the Son of man was highly exalted by Yahweh the Father to become his Lord of lords and his King of kings. The eleven disciples came to see him in Galilee where Jesus had made an appointment to meet them there. Some of the eleven disciples worshiped Jesus but some doubted that he was alive. Jesus spent forty days with them and the other disciples proving that he was alive forevermore by many infallible proofs. Jesus then told his eleven disciples in the very next verse that Yahweh has just GIVEN him ALL POWER.
Matthew 28:18.
“And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is GIVEN unto me in heaven and in the earth.”
And the GIVER OF this power GIVEN TO Jesus is Yahweh the Father. Yahweh does not GIVE power to Yahweh Himself. BUT Yahweh can give the power and the authority to the Son of MAN whom He highly exalted to BECOME a God to rule FOR Him in the world to come. And that is WHY the God OF Jesus gave him a NEW NAME, which I believe is Yahweh our righteousness. Please read where Jesus is GIVEN a NEW NAME. Here is the PROPHECY.
Isaiah 62:2.
“And the Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory: and you SHALL BE be called by a NEW NAME, which the mouth of the LORD shall NAME.”
And here is the fulfillment of that prophecy.
Revelation 3:12.
“He that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him MY NEW NAME .”
Now, almost all Christians know beyond any shadow of a doubt that Jesus is NOT the FATHER and that Jesus is a separate distinct person from the Father. And most Christians say that they believe the Bible when it says in 1 Corinthians 8:6 that to us there is but ONE God the FATHER. But yet, some Christians, including Trinitarian Christians, keep trying to make Jesus to be Yahweh HIMSELF. And that, to me, is the same as saying that Jesus is the FATHER seeing that the ONE and ONLY true God is the FATHER ALONE. And the Bible itself does NOT teach us that Jesus is the Father. But the very Apostle of Jesus said, to us there is but ONE even the FATHER. The Father is always identified as being the ONLY TRUE God who is the God OF Jesus. Please read 1 Corinthians 8:6 again. This verse does NOT say we believe in ONE God who is THREE PERSONS in the one God. Read this verse for yourself and see what the Bible ITSELF teaches us in SIMPLICITY.
1 Corinthians 8:6.
“But to us, there is but ONE God, the FATHER, of whom are ALL things, (I want my readers and all Christians everywhere to know that the word “things” is NOT in the original text. The LITERAL translation reads THE ALL which is speaking of THE ALL of whosoever BELIEVES that Jesus is the Christ, the SON OF the living God. In other words, it is God in ONE person who created ALL who believe in Jesus anointed to be created as NEW CREATURES in Jesus. So then, whosoever believes that Jesus suffered and died on the cross for the sins of the whole world and that God raised the Son of MAN from the dead are created in Jesus by the ONE God in ONE person who is clearly identified and being the FATHER. Jesus was made to become a partaker of the DIVINE NATURE of IMMORTALITY after the cross and resurrection in order to give us this same hope of becoming the ETERNAL sons and daughter of God at the COMING of Jesus) and we (Speaking of THE ALL of whosoever BELIEVE who are) in Him; (By our being created in His Son) AND (Or and thus, we also believe in) one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are ALL things (Again the word “THINGS” is NOT in the original text and should read THE ALL. Please read the LITERAL translation for yourself which I will quote for you below), and we (THE ALL who are in Jesus are) by him.”
So then, the ONE God is ONE person who alone is the Father MADE Jesus to become His Lord and Savior AFTER the cross. Here is the LITERAL translation of 1 Corinthians 8:6 to help you better see this SOUND Biblical truth.
1 Corinthians 8:6 from the LITERAL translation.
“But to us ONE God the Father OUT OF whom THE ALL and we INTO him AND one master or one Lord Jesus ANOINTED THROUGH whom THE ALL and we through him.”
So then, by the translator ADDING the word “THINGS” in this verse and several other verses as well, they have confused the TRUE meaning of those verses. And that confusion of all THINGS has DECEIVED Christians into wrongly believing that Jesus himself is the creator of ALL THINGS. And thus, they have wrongly concluded that Jesus MUST be one and the self-same being as Almighty God, Yahweh Himself because there can only be ONE Creator who ONLY is the TRUE God. However, the TRUTH of the matter is that Jesus is of a sort a co-creator of ONLY God’s NEW CREATURES who God Himself creates in His Son Jesus BECAUSE of what God’s ANOINTED Son of MAN did for us on the cross. Please read the study “O-13. WHAT DOES FIRSTBORN OF EVERY CREATURE MEAN?”. But for now, let us continue with this study on should we worship Jesus.
Mark 5:6.
“But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped him, (Strong’s # 4352)”
When we keep this verse in its context, then we see that this man was possessed by devils, which Jesus will cast out THROUGH the power of the FINGER of God dwelling in him, the SAME Holy Spirit who now dwells in us as believers. We also see that this man CRIED out or SAID something. So what did this possessed man SAY? Did he say I worship you Jesus for I know you are Yahweh incarnate in the flesh? No! Let us read the next verse to see what this possessed man said or what the devils said that were possessing him.
Mark 5:7-9.
“And cried with a loud voice, and said, What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you SON OF the most-high God? I adjure you by God, that you torment me not. 8. For he said unto him, Come out of the man, you unclean spirit. (So it was the unclean spirit who was speaking here and not the man who was possessed by devils) 9. And he asked him, What is your name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.”
So again, we can clearly see that no one has yet to worship Jesus as BEING Yahweh HIMSELF incarnate in the flesh or as God the Son incarnate in the flesh. But what we do see that the Bible itself is teaching us is that Jesus is always understood to be the SON OF the MOST-HIGH God named Yahweh as opposed to being Yahweh HIMSELF. Let us continue. They are NOT one and the self-same being. One God is under and subject to his God and Father. But they are ONE in AGREEMENT working TOGETHER to save as many people who will BELIEVE in God’s plan of salvation.
Mark 15:19.
“And they smote him on the head with a reed, and spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshiped him. (Strong’s # 4352)”
This passage of Scripture is speaking of the Romans soldiers MOCKING Jesus just before his crucifixion. They are not actually worshiping Jesus in any form or fashion, but rather, they are worshiping Jesus in a SARCASTIC way mocking Jesus.
Luke 24:52.
“And they worshiped him, (Strong’s # 4352) and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:”
The context teaches us that they were filled with joy and thanksgiving that their Messiah was ALIVE. And that is how they worshiped Jesus. The worshiped Jesus as the Messiah prophesied to come and NOT as Jesus being Almighty God Himself in the flesh. In the gospel of Luke, we saw earlier in this study that Jesus was worshiped as an infant as the one BORN to become the King of the Jews. And here in this verse, we see Jesus being worshiped AFTER the cross and it seems to be at the time just as they are seeing Jesus ascending into heaven before their eyes knowing his promise to return and restore the Kingdom to Israel. It had been forty days after Jesus spent those forty days proving to his disciples that he was alive forevermore never to die again and teaching them many other things. Jesus explained the prophecies from the Old Testament to them. So to me, I am quite sure that SINCE Yahweh prophesied that His Messiah would be called God of the whole earth in the world to come, that Jesus also expounded on what those prophecies mean as well. In other words, it is blatantly obvious that the Apostles of Jesus were taught by Jesus that the now glorified Son of MAN would rule and reign FOR Yahweh as the Lord of the Sabbath while Yahweh takes his Seventh 1000 year-long Sabbath day rest in the world to come. And Jesus MAY have taught them this truth during those forty days by Jesus explaining the Old Testament prophecies. And thus, they understood HOW Jesus would be called the God of the whole EARTH and that is why Thomas said to Jesus, my Lord and my God AFTER the cross. So again, the disciples of Jesus were NOT worshiping Jesus as being Yahweh himself but they MAY have been worshiping him as God of the world to come knowing that in the world to come every knee shall be MADE to bow and worship Jesus including the angels. I can say this with full assurance from the Bible that they were worshiping Jesus as God who they knew right well as being a God under and subject to HIS God and Father Yahweh. And we know for sure that they had GREAT JOY in their heart as they witnessed Jesus ascending into heaven. Common sense should tell us that they were SAD to see Jesus LEAVE, but JOYOUS because Jesus PROMISED them that he would RETURN. Let us continue with the other verses having the word worshiped in them.
John 4:20.
“Our fathers worshiped (Strong’s # 4352) in this mountain; and you say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. (Strong’s # 4352)”
Here we get another clue as to what worship was like in the Old Testament. At least the worship spoken of in this verse which Jesus said OUGHT to be done in the city of Jerusalem. For you see, every year the children of Israel did SERVICE to God in the city of Jerusalem. The feast of the Passover for example. The worship in this verse is Old Testament worship given to Yahweh. Jesus is not being worshiped in this verse. Let us move to the next verse.
John 9:38.
“And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshiped him. (Strong’s # 4352)”
The context of this verse is about a blind man who was born blind and Jesus healed him. This now healed blind man was NOT worshiping Jesus as Yahweh Himself, but rather, as the SON OF God who just healed him. Again, we see that the one worshiping Jesus SAYING something. What did he SAY? He said Lord, I BELIEVE! What did he BELIEVE? Did he believe that Jesus was Yahweh Himself incarnate in the flesh? Did he believe that Jesus was God the Son, the second person of the Trinity incarnated himself in the flesh? Let us read what the Bible ITSELF teaches us what he BELIEVED by reading the CONTEXT.
John 9:33-41.
“If this MAN (Speaking of Jesus being called a MAN by this now healed blind man) were not of God, he could do nothing. (But since he healed me I know that God is WITH this MAN Jesus for sure, because no man could do such a miracle to heal one born blind except God be WITH him) 34. They answered and said unto him, You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us? And they cast him out. (Remember about PRIDE. These Jews were unteachable because of their pride. And it is sad to see Christians being cast out of the church they have attended all their lives when God opens their eyes to the truth. For you see, all that they want to do is to SHARE what God has revealed to them. But the leaders of the church are too proud, wrongly thinking that they know all there is to know about God’s word or that they could not possibly have been deceived to believe a doctrine of devils. Now, I openly admit that I was once DECEIVED by the doctrine of the Trinity. But when God began showing me verses of Scripture that the doctrine of the Trinity contradicts what the Bible ITSELF teaches in SIMPLICITY, then I humbled myself to hear the WHOLE matter directly from the Holy Spirit. And I too was asked to step down from teaching and told that I was a heretic by church leaders. And when I was no longer allowed to teach in that Trinitarian church, I left to find other believers that teach the TRUE Jesus, according to the WHOLE word of God) 35. Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Do you believe in the SON OF God? 36. He answered and said, WHO is he, Lord, that I might believe in him? 37. And Jesus said unto him, You have both seen him, (This man saw who Jesus was by his saying to the Jews that this man could do nothing except God be with him. So he understood that Jesus was ANOINTED by God but he did not understand that he was the SON OF God.) and it is he that talks with you. (In other words, Jesus is saying, the Son of God is me, the one talking to you) 38. And he said, Lord, I BELIEVE. (So then, now, after Jesus telling the man that he is the SON OF God, the man said I BELIEVE that you, Jesus, are the SON OF God. So, Jesus is being worshiped by the man as being the SON OF God and NOT as being Almighty God Yahweh Himself) And he worshiped him. (Strong’s # 4352. Again, Jesus was NEVER worshiped as being Yahweh Himself, but rather, Jesus was ALWAYS worshiped as being the SON OF Yahweh that God was WITH by God DWELLING in him) 39. And Jesus said, For judgment, I am come into this world, (In other words, you could say that Jesus was BORN to be King and the JUDGE of this world. But before Jesus shall actually take his reign as God's King over the earth, Jesus was given two days to get the trees to bear fruit. The two days are the two thousand years from his resurrection to his COMING. And the THIRD DAY is the 1000 year reign of Jesus which is when God promised to turn to Israel a SECOND TIME) that they which see NOT might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 40. And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? (Notice what Jesus tells them in the next verse) 41. Jesus said unto them, If you were BLIND, you should have no sin: but now you say, We see; (Or because you say we are NOT BLIND) therefore, your sin remains.”
A self-righteous person full of pride does not see any need to be saved. What Jesus is saying is that they see that they do not need a savior to save them from their sins because they are righteous in their own eyes. But if they were blind not knowing the true way to eternal life then Jesus would have revealed himself to them as the arm of the Lord. Jesus told them at another time that they searched the Scripture for eternal life but did not discern that the Scripture spoke of HIM. That is what Jesus said many times when Jesus said I am he, meaning that he was the one prophesied in the Scriptures to come. But they would not humble themselves so that Jesus could REVEAL himself to them as their Messiah.
John 12:38.
“That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the ARM OF the Lord been revealed?”
Jesus is the arm of Yahweh who will rule FOR Yahweh as his King of Kings and Lord of lords as the Lord OF the Sabbath in the world to come and he shall be called God of the whole earth during that day, which is 1000 years long called the world to come or the age to come.
Isaiah 40:9-11.
“O Zion, (Or O church) that brings good tidings, get YOU up INTO the high mountain; (Or up into the city of God. This is a picture of the rapture of the church being caught up into the city of God) O Jerusalem, that brings good tidings, (Speaking of the 144,000 sealed Jews who will follow Jesus in their mortal bodies and teach the remnant of the Jews about their Messiah during the Millennial reign of Jesus in the world to come) lift up your voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! (Speaking of the Son of MAN Jesus whom your father’s crucified, the MEDIATOR that your father’s asked God to give to the children of Israel because your fathers did not want to hear from God directly any more. Please see Acts 7:37 and Deuteronomy 18:15-19. Verse 20 in Deuteronomy chapter 19 is a prophecy foretelling the coming of the false prophet Muhammad. Jesus also prophesied of Muhammad coming in his own name in John 5:43. So those of the seed of Ishmael who SAY that they are God’s CHOSEN people are NOT the true Jews. They are the children of Abraham but they are NOT the children of PROMISE of the seed of Jacob) 10. Behold, the Lord GOD (Speaking of Yahweh who will be coming with Jesus but will remain in the city of God the New Jerusalem) will come WITH strong hand, and HIS ARM (The ARM of the Lord speaking of his now eternal highly exalted Son Jesus) shall rule FOR him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. (All judgment is committed to Jesus and thus Jesus will give to every man according to his WORKS) 11. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: (Or Jesus shall feed his flock that Yahweh has GIVEN him) he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.”
Isaiah 54:5.
“For your Maker is your husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; AND your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth SHALL he be CALLED.”
The maker or the Creator is Yahweh of host and Jesus is called the Holy One two times in the book of Acts who SHALL BE called the God of the whole EARTH in the world to come, but ONLY for 1000 years.
Acts 2:27.
“Because You will not leave my soul in hell, neither will You suffer YOUR Holy One to see corruption.”
Acts 3:14.
“But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;”
Crucify Jesus and give us the murderer named Barabus. Also, remember the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6,7 that his NAME shall be CALLED mighty God. Always remember that the word “God” is a TITLE and it is a NAME GIVEN to Jesus by Yahweh the Father. So then, in the world to come Jesus shall be called a mighty God over the whole earth but he will still be a God under his God and Father Yahweh even while he will be ruling FOR Yahweh. Please see 1 Corinthians 15:27 on your own to learn that the Son of MAN Jesus was given a name above every other name EXCEPT for Yahweh himself. But for now, let us continue with the verses on worship.
Acts 10:25.
“And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshiped him. (Strong’s # 4352)”
Now we know that Cornelius was NOT falling down and worshiping Peter as being Yahweh HIMSELF, but yet, the SAME Greek word used when associated with the worship of Yahweh is being used here in this verse speaking of worship being given to a MAN a human being, a not yet glorified human being. I point this out because some Christians dogmatically demand that when Jesus is worshiped by arguing that it is the SAME EXACT word used in worship to Yahweh. And, therefore, Jesus MUST BE Yahweh Himself since the SAME Greek word is being used for God and for Jesus. But, as you have just seen in this in-depth study on all of the Greek words translated as worship, that argument does not have a leg to stand on. So then, we are to worship Jesus because it is Yahweh’s WILL that we worship His SON even as we worship the Father, who alone is the ONLY true God. Let us continue with the next verse.
Hebrews 11:21.
“By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshiped, (Strong’s # 4352) leaning upon the top of his staff.”
Jacob is worshiping Yahweh for his faithfulness to keep the promises in his word. He knew by God’s word that he would be resurrected from the dead and by faith believed he would be found righteous in the eyes of God. The following verse is often used to try and prove that Jesus is being worshiped on the same level as Yahweh is receiving. And, therefore, both Oneness Pentecost Christians and Trinitarian Christ wrongly conclude that Jesus MUST BE Yahweh Himself simply because Jesus is worshiped.
Revelation 5:14.
“And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshiped him (Strong’s # 4352) that lives forever and ever.”
This verse is actually speaking of worship being given to Yahweh the ALMIGHTY God the FATHER who sits on the throne. We will read the context after we read Revelation 4:10 which is another verse used to try and prove that Jesus is Yahweh Himself, but no longer Yahweh in the flesh. Let me assure you that Jesus will always be Jesus the highly exalted Son of MAN having a new but now GLORIFIED body of flesh and bones. Our Lord and Savior will NOT cease to exist by turning back into the invisible Yahweh who is the eternal Spirit. I do not know where some Christians come up with stuff like this that Jesus will cease to exist and return to being Yahweh. They even contradict their own teaching by saying that Jesus is Yahweh and then he returns to being Yahweh. Maybe it is because they came out of another church that teaches Jesus will cease to exist and then they try and MIX it in somehow with the doctrine of Oneness. The Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that Michael the archangel became Jesus and then Jesus turned back into Michael the archangel when he ascended into heaven so that Jesus can return with the SHOUT of Michael the archangel and with the trump of God. So maybe some Oneness believers are believing the same lie of Satan that Jesus ceases to exist. Let us read Revelation 4:10 and then we will get into the CONTEXT to learn WHO is actually being worshiped in Revelation 4:10 and Revelation 5:14.
Revelation 4:10.
“The four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sat on the throne, and worship Him (Strong’s # 4352) that lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,”
We see almost the exact same wording in both Revelation 4:10 as we do in Revelation 5:14. It is the SAME person that the 24 elder will fall down before him AND also WORSHIP him. And that ONE person who sat on the THRONE is Almighty God the Father. But Oneness believers and Trinitarian believers ASSUME or INTERPRET the phrase “that lives forever and ever” as being Jesus since he is alive forevermore never to die again. Now the obvious reason for why they “interpret” this verse in Revelation 14:10 as Jesus being worshiped as Yahweh Himself is to try and prove that Jesus is THE Almighty God Yahweh Himself. In other words, they NEED for Jesus to be Yahweh HIMSELF or their man-made doctrines of the Trinity and Oneness fall apart. That is why they use FEAR and intimidation that you are not a TRUE Christian if you do not believe what they teach. They are trying to persuade Christians who do not agree with their doctrine that if we do not repent and start believing in their doctrine, then we shall remain dead in our sins. Essentially, they are arguing that we who do NOT believe in either of those two man-made doctrines are NOT TRULY saved and we can NOT be saved until we believe exactly what THEY teach, case closed end of the discussion, you heathen sinner who does NOT believe that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the FLESH having TWO natures at the SAME time DURING the days of his FLESH, one divine, and one human. To the Oneness believers, everyone who is not an Oneness believer is not a true Christians and thus they are lost, a heathen sinner. To the Trinitarians, everyone who is not a Trinitarian believer is not a true Christians and thus they are lost, a heathen sinner. But on the other hand, I believe that almost all Biblical Unitarians consider every person who believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son OF God, and that the Son of MAN died for their sins are indeed saved. In other words, most Biblical Unitarian Christians do not judge other Christians of not being saved if they disagree with Jesus being MADE a Lord and God under his God and Father. We simply believe that they are being deceived by false teachings in their own church denomination and to us it is not a matter of salvation if a Christian REJECTS the Biblical Unitarian view of Jesus, according to the Bible ITSELF. Now here is the thing, my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ who may be worried or unsure what to believe, ask yourself the question, were you saved by believing the doctrine of the Trinity or the doctrine of Oneness? What I mean by this is was either of these two church doctrines a part of the gospel message that you heard that brought you to saving faith? Were you told that you MUST believe the doctrine of Oneness in order to be saved while you were yet a non-believer Or did you simply believe in Jesus as being the Christ, the Son OF the living God first. And then, after hearing the TRUE Gospel of Jesus dying on the cross for your sins you believed and were saved. And then after you were saved you were TAUGHT the doctrine of Oneness Pentecostalism that Jesus is the Father? Or were you saved after hearing the whole doctrine of Oneness as being part of the GOSPEL and you said to yourself that is the most logical thing I have ever heard and THEN you accepted Jesus as your savior based upon your faith in the Oneness Pentecostal doctrine? Now the same is true with the doctrine of the Trinity. Were you told that you MUST believe the doctrine of the Trinity while you were yet a non-believer and then after hearing the doctrine of the Trinity as being part of the GOSPEL you said to yourself, that is the most logical thing I have ever heard, and THEN you accepted Jesus as your savior based upon your faith in the doctrine of the Trinity? Or did you simply hear the TRUE gospel message that Jesus died for your sins and you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior FIRST. And then, AFTER you were saved, you were then TAUGHT the doctrine of the Trinity? My point is that neither of these man-made church doctrines is a PART of the TRUE gospel of SALVATION that MUST be believed in order to be saved, according to the Bible ITSELF. But yet, both Oneness believers and Trinitarians dogmatically demand that you cannot be saved if you do not believe that Jesus is THE ALMIGHTY God HIMSELF. Let us continue this study on WORSHIP by reading Revelation 5:13,14 again to refresh your memory before we get into the CONTEXT.
Revelation 5:13,14.
“And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sits upon the throne, AND unto the Lamb forever and ever. (Now, the Bible ITSELF clearly teaches us that the Lamb is NOT Almighty God the Father who sits on the throne, For you see, the Lamb comes over to the one who sits on the throne and takes the book out of His right hand, according to Revelation 5:1-7. And the one sitting on the throne is clearly identified as being the Almighty in Revelation 4:8-11) 14. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshiped Him(Strong’s # 4352) that lives for ever and ever.”
Now, verse 14 is used by both Oneness Pentecostals and Trinitarians to try and prove that Jesus is being worshiped as Yahweh Himself. But the truth of the matter is that in verse 13 there are TWO beings or TWO persons being praised and honored. And THEN in verse 14, we see the pronoun “him” which speaks of ONE who is being worshiped. Again, the Oneness Pentecostal believers argue that the singular pronoun “him” is singular because God is ONE SINGLE BEING and the Son is NOT a separate person from Yahweh the Father. In other words, they argue to try and prove that Jesus is one and the self-same being as Yahweh the Father. They simply try to explain away the clear teaching of TWO beings who are in heaven. But the plain, clear, and SIMPLE FACTS are that there is the Father who sits on the throne called the Almighty, and then there is the Lamb called a MAN who comes over TO the one who sits upon the throne and takes the book out of the right hand of the one who sits upon the throne. Now, the Trinitarian Christians on the other hand, clearly do indeed see the clear teaching of TWO separate distinctly different beings. But they still try to prove that Jesus is Yahweh Himself by defining the ONE God as being separate three persons in the ONE God. But to ME, the Bible ITSELF clearly teaches us that there is but ONE God, the FATHER, who ALONE is the ONLY TRUE God, according to the words of Jesus in John 17:1-3. The Bible also teaches us the one true and only ALMIGHTY God in ONE person has a SON whom He was well PLEASED making the Son of MAN become both Lord and Christ by glorifying him with the glory he promised his Messiah in the Scriptures. The mere fact that Yahweh the Father is the God OF Jesus proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that Jesus is NOT the ALMIGHTY God. Please know and understand that there were some early church believers who called what they believed as DYNAMIC MONARCHIANISM which is basically what I just said concerning the Son of MAN being made to become Lord of the world to come for 1000 years. And this teaching of Biblical Unitarianism has been taught throughout the history of the church, but under different names. And in the world today many Christians who also believe that the Son of MAN Jesus BECAME God’s ETERNAL Son AFTER the cross are going by the name Biblical Unitarian Christians or Christians who do not attach any denominational name to themselves. I myself prefer not to place any name upon myself because of other teachings that I may NOT agree with. but I do agree with Biblical Unitarians on this subject which is what the Bible itself teaches concerning who Jesus TRULY is. To say this another way, what I teach concerning >>>N-0. WHO is JESUS according to the BIBLE?<<< is almost word for word what Biblical Unitarians teach. So when Christians read the studies that I have written on this particular subject of who Jesus truly is, then many of my Bible studies may lead some Christians to say that I am a Biblical Unitarian. The term Biblical Unitarian is NOT actually a church denomination as yet that has a set of tenants of faith. And I heard some things being taught by a few particular single individual Christians who call themselves Biblical Unitarians that the majority of Biblical Unitarians would never even think to teach. So I prefer NOT to call myself a Biblical Unitarian just yet because of other doctrines being taught by those who call themselves Biblical Unitarians that I do NOT believe and teach. To say this another way, I would consider attaching the name Biblical Unitarian to me if the Biblical Unitarians would organize themselves to establish a COMMON tenets of faith that AGREE with what I believe that the Bible ITSELF clearly teaches in simplicity in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. With that being said, let us now read Revelation chapters 4 and chapter 5 and take a close look at the CONTEXT so you can see that it is NOT Jesus being worshiped in either Revelation 4:10 or in Revelation 5:14.
Revelation 5:1-14.
“And I saw in the right hand of HIM that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, WHO is worthy to open the book, and to loosen the seals thereof? 3. And no MAN in heaven, nor in the earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. (Please notice that they were looking for a MAN who was worthy, but at first, they could not find any MAN who was worthy. And then, the Apostle John began to weep) 4. And I wept much because no man was found WORTHY to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. (They were not looking for an angel who was worthy, They were not looking for a God-man who was worthy. They did not look to see if Yahweh himself was worthy. They were looking for a MAN who was WORTHY and then they found the Son of MAN Jesus, the perfect spotless Lamb who was found WORTHY to open the book) 5. And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has PREVAILED to open the book, and to loosen the seven seals thereof. (Read Revelation 3:21 to see that Jesus OVERCAME or PREVAILED over the sins of the world system) 6. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been SLAIN, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. (So then, BEFORE the Lamb was SLAIN, the Son of MAN had not yet been found WORTHY to RECEIVE power, glory, honor and blessing) 7. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne. 8. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints. 9. And they sang a new song, saying, You are WORTHY to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: FOR (Or BECAUSE) you were SLAIN (As an INNOCENT SPOTLESS Lamb without cause), and have redeemed us TO God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10. And (YOU Jesus) have made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. 11. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12. Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was SLAIN to RECEIVE power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. (And it was AFTER the cross and resurrection the God GAVE the Son of MAN all power and authority to judge BECAUSE he was the Son of MAN) 13. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sits upon the throne, AND unto the Lamb forever and ever. (Now, the phrase “forever and ever” can be translated as “for and AGE to and AGE”, and that translation AGREE with 1 Corinthians 15:20-28 and Micah 4:6-8. For the see, Jesus will only be called the God of the whole earth for ONLY 1000 years and then Jesus will step down from being God over the earth and COMMIT the ruling of the kingdom back into the hands of his God and Father. And to me, that does not sound like a pre-existing God the Son being HIGHLIGHLY EXALTED. But rather, it sounds more like a DEMOTION for a so-called pre-existing God the Son who is said to be EQUAL with God the Father in every way to now be God the Son UNDER and SUBJECT to his God and Father. So to me, the only way for Jesus to be HIGHLY EXALTED to OBTAIN a name more excellent than the angels but yet under and subject to his God is for Jesus to TRULY be 100% a human being DURING the days of his FLESH) 14. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshiped Him that lives for ever and ever.”
Let us now read Revelation chapter four where we see the worship being given in the REVERSE order of what we just read. Again, it is Almighty God Yahweh who is the one sitting on the throne that is worshiped FIRST. And then, Jesus is given honor and glory because he is WORTHY due to being SLAIN for the sins of the world. Again, I will highlight the words referring to the Father in orange and the words referring to Jesus in yellow.
Revelation 4:1-11.
“After this, I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the FIRST voice which I heard was as it were of a TRUMPET talking with me; (John heard TWO distinctly different VOICES in Revelation 1:8-15. The voice of Almighty God the Father was as a TRUMPET. and the voice of the Son of MAN Jesus was as the sound of many waters. And here John hears the FIRST voice as of a TRUMPET, which is the voice of Yahweh Almighty God the Father) which said, Come up hither, and I will show you things which must be hereafter. 2. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3. And He that sat (Upon the throne) was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. (A rainbow is the refraction of LIGHT and the INVISIBLE God dwells in the LIGHT who ONLY has immortality and who ALONE is Sovereign, the ONLY Potentate, and can NOT be SEEN, according to 1 Timothy 6:15,16) 4. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats, I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. 5. And out of the throne proceeded lightning and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. 6. And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. 7. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast was like a calf and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. 8. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him, and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. 9. And when those beasts give glory and honor and thanks to Him that SAT on the throne, who lives for ever and ever, 10. The four and twenty elders fall down before Him that SAT on the throne, and worship Him that lives for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, (Or in view of the throne. In other words, the LAMB SLAIN is before the throne, an the 24 elders are now speaking to the Lamb slain in verse 11) saying, 11. You are WORTHY, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you have created ALL things, (Again, the word “THINGS” is NOT in the original text and was added by the translators. The LITERAL translation reads, WORTHY are you master to be getting the glory and the honor and the ability that TO create THE ALL and BECAUSE OF the WILL of you they are and ARE created. In other words, new creatures of righteousness are still yet BEING created by God in Jesus Christ) and for your pleasure they are and were created.”
Now, I highlighted the last part of verse 11 in green, because BOTH the Father AND the Son have created THE ALL who believe and NOT all THINGS. For you see, it was Yahweh the Father ALONE who created the Universe by Himself with no help from anyone. And it is God Himself who actually created THE ALL in His Son Jesus the Christ. Jesus was our PATTERN to follow in his steps. Jesus is the forerunning of our faith. The Son of MAN Jesus is the us in Genesis 2:26 being prophesied to become God’s FUTURE Messiah. God CHOSE to use a MAN made lower than the angels as His Messiah. And TOGETHER the ALL who believe are created as NEW CREATURES in Jesus Christ by God the Father. And Jesus is the FIRST of God’s new creatures called the BEGINNING of the creation OF God. Again, the word “things” is NOT in the original text. The LITERAL translation reads “WORTHY you are Master to be getting the glory and the honor and the ability or the power TO create THE ALL and because of the WILL of YOU THEY ARE and ARE created.” It was BECAUSE OF the WILL of the Son of MAN Jesus who brought his WILL into the obedience of his Father’s WILL saying not MY will but YOUR WILL be done. Now, if the Son of man would NOT have chosen by his OWN FREE WILL to suffer and die on the cross, then there would be no NEW creation of God created in Jesus Christ. So then, BECAUSE of the WILL of Jesus becoming obedient to obey his God and Father’s will, we have become NEW Creatures created in Jesus Christ by the God of Jesus who actually did the work of creating us as new creatures in His Son Jesus anointed. And that to me, is something to be joyous and thankful for! So to give Jesus glory and honor and praise and thanksgiving for laying down his life for us is an honor. Jesus is WORTHY of our praise! Amen! Yahweh has GIVEN the now highly exalted Son of MAN Jesus the ABILITY to give eternal life to THE ALL of whosoever will BELIEVE that Jesus is the CHRIST the SON OF the living God and obey his commandments written in the New Testament under the NEW Covenant unto the end. Also, notice that THEY ARE and ARE created, which means that they are still yet BEING created. There are still people BEING CREATED by God in His Son Jesus Christ. Again, in Revelation 5:2-5, we see that they were looking for a MAN who was worthy but at first, they could find no man who was worthy. And then an angel said do not weep John for we have found one WORTHY, we have found Jesus who was slain as an innocent Lamb for the sins of the world. And BECAUSE of Jesus laying down his own life of his own free WILL that made it possible for THE ALL of whosoever BELIEVES to be CREATED by God as NEW CREATURES in Jesus Christ TO the glory OF the Father. So then, Jesus is the BEGINNING OF God’s creation by being found that FAITHFUL WITNESS. See Revelation 1:5 and Revelation 3:14 and then read the studies “U-30. REVELATION 3:14 IS JESUS THE CREATOR?” and “O-18. Is JESUS THE CREATOR OR A CREATION?”. But for now, let us continue with this study on should we worship Jesus? After the cross, Yahweh the Father GAVE the now glorified Son of MAN all power and authority to raise the dead and give those who believe in him eternal life because he is the Son of MAN. Please read later for yourself John 5:26,27 which teaches us this truth but I would suggest reading the whole context found in John 5:19-30.But for now, Proverbs 8:31 says that Jesus delighted himself with the sons of men. Yahweh will give children to His Son for His Son's PLEASURE.
Proverbs 8:31.
“Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth, and my delights were with the sons of men.”
Now, this verse is used to try and prove that Jesus pre-existed in the eternity past as God the Son, the second person of a Godhead Trinity God. BUT, if you look closely, you will see that Jesus is with the Father in the foreknowledge of God’s mind or His mind’s eye foreseeing His Son rejoicing in the HABITABLE PART of the earth. For you see, no matter if Proverbs chapter 8 is speaking of God’s original creation of the earth or God RESTORING the earth to be habitable once again, the Son of God could NOT be rejoicing in something that has not yet been created or restored. So this verse is speaking of the world yet to come and not eternity past as some INTERPRET Proverbs chapter 8. Also, the context says “as one BROUGHT UP with Him”. Now, seeing that Jesus was BROUGHT UP with Him proves that God’s Son did NOT pre-exist as God the Son who can NOT have a BEGINNING of any kind. Otherwise, he could NOT be God Himself because the ONLY TRUE God is NOT BROUGHT UP by anyone. Just a few more verses with the word “worshiped” in them.
Revelation 7:11.
“And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God,”
This is another verse that to me proves that it is Yahweh being worshiped and NOT Jesus who is being worshiped. Just read verse 10 right before verse 11.
Revelation 7:10.
“And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne, AND UNTO the Lamb. 11. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God, 12. Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might be unto our God forever and ever. Amen.”
Revelation 11:16.
“And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshiped God,”
Revelation 19:4.
“And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.”
John 4:23.
“But the hour comes, and now is, when the TRUE worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. 24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (And the only WAY to the Father is through his Messiah Jesus who is the TRUTH) 25. The woman said unto him, I know that Messiah comes, which is called Christ: (How did she know? It is written in the Scriptures) when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26. Jesus said unto her, I that speak unto you am he.
And every time Jesus said I am or I am he this is what Jesus is saying. Jesus is saying in John 8:24 that he is the Messiah. Jesus is saying the same thing in John 8:58 that he is the MESSIAH the one PROPHESIED to come. Before Abraham was born, I am the one who was prophesied to come before John the Baptist and Abraham were born. I am the Messiah.
Hebrew 1:6.
“And again, when he brings in the first begotten into the world, he says, And let all the angels of God worship him.”
So since we see that Yahweh Himself is going to make all the angels worship Jesus in the world to come and make every man bow their knee and confess that Jesus is Lord TO the glory OF God the Father in the world to come then HOW is it a sin to worship Jesus NOW in the present world as our Lord and Savior knowing that Jesus is the WORKMANSHIP OF his God and Father Yahweh. You can do what you want to do, but I will continue to worship Jesus NOW in this present world for all that he has done for me because he is WORTHY of my praise and thanksgiving. There is no greater love than our friend, our fellow brother Jesus, the Christ, who of his own free will laid down his life for us.
John 15:13,14.
“Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14. YOU are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.”
Revelation 14:7.
“Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: (Almighty God Yahweh the Father is going to judge the world BY the MAN Jesus Christ. The Father has committed ALL JUDGMENT into the hands of the Son of MAN Jesus) AND worship Him that MADE heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”
Revelation 15:3,4.
“And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, AND the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Your WORKS, Lord God Almighty; (The song of Moses AND the song of the Lamb singing) just and true are your ways, you King of saints. (The song of the Lamb) 4. Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you only are holy: for all nations shall come and worship before you; FOR (or BECAUSE) your judgments are made manifest.
Revelation 19:10.
“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See you do it not: I am your fellow servant, and of your BRETHREN that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
Jesus said that the Scriptures, speaking of the PROPHECIES in the Scriptures, TESTIFY of him. And I do not find where the angelic beings are called our BRETHREN. And I do not find where Almighty God Himself is ever called our BROTHER. God is our FATHER and Jesus is our BROTHER!
Revelation 22:9.
“And I, John, saw these things and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which showed me these things. 9. Then he said unto me, See you do it not: for I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.”
Now, I myself believe that these two verses MAY very well be speaking of Jesus as a messenger of God and not an angelic being. But for whatever reason, he does not want John to worship him at that time. Perhaps the reason might be that Jesus is not yet crowned as the King of kings. In Revelation 1 we see that Jesus is called a Prince. Or perhaps Jesus wants to rule over the earth as a SERVANT serving those who obey the Father’s will, but at the same time rule with a rod of IRON over those who reject the Father’s will. Or it could be that Jesus is giving the praise and worship that he receives TO his God and Father much like the twenty-four elders will cast their crowns before the throne. In other words, when we receive praise for doing God’s work, then our minds should be like the mind of Jesus. And thus, we send the glory and praise given to us to Almighty God saying, to God be the glory. And in the same way, Jesus was saying to God be the worship. Now, I do not know offhand if any of the angelic beings are ever called any human being their brother and fellow servant. So to ME, these verses seem to point to Jesus as a MESSENGER of God. Or it may be that these two verses are not speaking of Jesus and they are speaking of angelic beings. This concludes this long in-depth version of this study.
