S101-8. WHO Are the JEWS of the Synagogue of Satan?
Chapter 8.
A brother in our Lord Jesus Christ wrote to me to share his belief that the Jews in the Bible are FAKE Jews and that the Jews in the land of Israel are also FAKE Jews. I had heard that teaching before but I did not take it seriously. But this time, it was his hard fast rock solid faith that ALL of the JEWS in the Bible are Edomites and NOT of the Tribe of Judah that caused me to dig deeper into the Scriptures. And after doing my OWN research I can NOW see that there are indeed so-called “FAKE” Jews in the Bible. HOWEVER, not every single person in the Bible that is called by the “WORD” Jew is of the synagogue of Satan as this brother in the Lord sincerely but wrongly believes. For you see, Jesus himself is called by the word Jew in John 4:9 and we all know that Jesus is NOT a Gentile Edomite who became a Jew. But rather, Jesus was BORN in the lineage of the Tribe of Judah. And Jesus also says in John 4:22 that SALVATION is of the JEWS. So clearly, every single person in the Bible who called a Jew is NOT an Edomite as some of the Jesus Words ONLY Christians wrongly claim. Let us begin chapter 8 by reading both verses of Scripture in the Book of Revelation that teach us that SOME Jews are INDEED “FAKE” Jews of the synagogue of Satan and THOSE Jews are NOT the TRUE Jews in the Bible. For you see, how can one SAY they are a Jew and NOT be a Jew if there are NO TRUE Jews? In other words, some Christians SAY they are Christians but they are NOT Christians according to the Biblical meaning of a TRUE Christian. But that does NOT mean that ALL who are called Christians are so-called “FAKE” Christians. You cannot have a COUNTERFEIT Jew unless there is a REAL Jew.
Please read Revelation 2:9,10.
“I know your works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but you are rich) and I know the blasphemy of THEM which say THEY are Jews, and are NOT, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10. Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: (By THEM who say they are Jews but who are actually of Satan) behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be you faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life.”
Here in these two verses of Scripture we see Jesus talking to the CHURCH about a group of people who are BLASPHEMING God and His Son Jesus and that group of people is PERSECUTION the church. Jesus said about that group persecuting the church, they SAY that they are Jews but they are actually of the synagogue of Satan. A synagogue is a place of learning. And thus, what those people who are blaspheming is their teaching, which is of Satan. In other words, what they TEACH is what is blaspheming Jesus.
Now read Revelation 3:8-11.
“I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have NOT denied my name. (So, whoever these so-called “FAKE” Jews are, they are trying to deceive Christians to DENY Jesus) 9. Behold, I will make THEM of the synagogue of Satan, which say THEY are Jews, and are NOT, but do lie; behold, I will make THEM come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10. Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the HOUR of temptation, (The HOUR of temptation or testing in the hour of God’s WRATH that is split in half, one half an hour of wrath before the 1000 year reign of Jesus and the other half an hour of wrath at the end of the Millennial reign of Jesus) which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (The word of patience in to NOT take up arms to defend our lives from being martyred for the sake of the gospel and our faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior) 11. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you have, that no man take your crown.”
Now, I myself believe that Jesus is speaking of the radical Islamic Muslims of the seed of Abraham that are persecuting and killing Christians for NOT denying that Jesus is the Son of God. For you see, it is blasphemy to deny the WORK of Almighty God through His human Son, Jesus, who died on the cross for the sins of the world. And that includes Jesus dying on the cross for the radical Islamic Muslims ALSO. And all they need to do to be saved is to repent to become true born-again Christians. And then they will be TRUE Jews who are Jews INWARDLY being circumcised in their HEART. I also believe that the Jews of the synagogue of Satan are the unsaved Jews who are NOT circumcised of the HEART, according to Jeremiah 9:26,27.
Jeremiah 9:26,27.
“Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will punish all them which ARE circumcised (Along) WITH the uncircumcised; (Gentiles) 26. Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and ALL the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.”
So then, ALL of the house of Israel are TRUE Israelites and they are CIRCUMCISED in the FLESH, but they are NOT circumcised in their HEART to be a Jew INWARDLY, according to Romans 2:14-29, which we will read shortly. In other words ALL of the house of Israel ARE Jews circumcised in the FLESH made with hands according to the Law of Moses in which they BOAST, but they are NOT Jews INWARDLY by being circumcised in the HEART by FAITH in Jesus as their Lord and Savior to CUT AWAY their SINS, according to Colossian 2:10-17. Now, those two interpretations are what I myself personally believe. The Jew who is NOT a Jew could be the Islamic Muslims of the seed of Esau and the seed of Ishmael. And the Jew who is not a Jew is an UNSAVED Jesus that is not circumcised in the HEART as Jeremiah prophesied. And I also believe that a Jew who is NOT a Jew could very well be a Jewish or even a Gentile Christian who KEEPS the LETTER of the Law of Moses as opposed to keeping the SPIRIT of the Law of Moses. Please read the study called Dd-39. HOW can the SABBATH DAY be AGAINST us? So, those are the THREE ways that I myself interpret the words of Jesus concerning those who say they are a Jew and they are NOT a Jew. But the other day, a dear sister in the Lord also wrote to me and asked if those of the synagogue of Satan could be the Kharzarian Jews in the land of Israel. And to be honest, I had not truly considered the Kharzarian Jews to be who Jesus is referring to, but I will try to give my readers all of the evidence to make them aware that the Kharzarian Jews are a possibility. To me, no matter what SECT a Jew is, they are all NOT circumcised in the HEART to be a Jew INWARDLY. In other words, they are all UNSAVED until the turn to the Lord to be circumcised in the HEART. Again, I believe that Jesus simply INTENDS his words to mean those who SAY that they are Jews are NOT truly Jews INWARDLY by being circumcised in their HEART. For you see, if they were Jews INWARDLY, then they would NOT have persecuted the church. So let us start with that spiritual interpretation of a TRUE Jew being a Jew inwardly circumcised of the HEART. And then we will consider the Kharzarian Jews and the radical Islamic Muslims as possibly the intended meaning of the words of Jesus speaking about the Jews of the synagogue of Satan.

“For when the Gentiles, which have NOT the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having NOT the law, are a law unto themselves: 15. Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) 16. On the day when God shall judge the secrets of men BY Jesus Christ according to my gospel. (Paul is talking to the chosen people of God, the children of Israel who make the boast in the Law of Moses, but yet, they themselves do not keep all of the Law of Moses. Paul says the Gentiles who do NOT have the Law of Moses have the MORAL laws of God contained in the Law of Moses written in their CONSCIENCE. However, they also make excuses for their sins. And thus, God will JUDGE all men BY Jesus Christ, according to the gospel that Paul preaches) 17. Behold, you are CALLED a Jew, and (You Jews) REST in the law, and make your BOAST of God, 18. And (You Jews OUTWARDLY) know His will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; (Speaking of the Law of Moses contained in ORDINANCES) 19. And (You Jews OUTWARDLY) are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, 20. An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which have the FORM of knowledge and of the truth in the law. 21. You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You that preach a man should not steal, do you steal? 22. You (Jews who are Jews OUTWARDLY) that say a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You (Outward Jews) that abhor idols, do you commit sacrilege? 23. You (Outward Jews) that make your boast of the law, through breaking the law you dishonor God? 24. For the name of God is BLASPHEMED among the Gentiles through you, (Jews who are Jews OUTWARDLY that break just ONE POINT of the Law of Moses) as it is written. 25. For circumcision verily profits, IF you (Outward Jews) keep the law: but if you (Outward Jews) are a breaker of the law, your circumcision is made uncircumcision. 26. Therefore, if the uncircumcision keeps the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? 27. And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfills the law, judge you, who by the LETTER and circumcision do transgress the law? 28. For he is NOT a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29. But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and NOT in the LETTER; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”
So then, according to the Bible ITSELF, the circumcised in the FLESH Jews who are Jews OUTWARDLY and make their BOAST in the Law of Moses, but they BREAK even ONE point of the Law are NOT Jews. WHY are they NOT Jews while they are indeed natural born children of Israel who boast in the Law of Moses? It is because they have NO MORE SACRIFICE for SINS. Therefore, if they BREAK even ONE point of the Law of Moses they have NO sacrifice to cover their sins. For you see, God CONCLUDED them ALL to be under sin so that He could show them His mercy and grace. Can you not see that God is going to judge ALL men BY Jesus Christ, according to Acts 17: 29-31? The Apostle James teaches us in James 2:12 that we will be JUDGED BY the Royal Law, the Law of LIBERTY.
James 2:7-8,12.
“Do not THEY BLASPHEME that worthy name by which you are called? 8. If you fulfill the Royal Law according to the Scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well:.. …12. So you (Are) to speak, and so do, as THEY (Speaking the Jews OUTWARDLY must believe and teach and DO as obedient faithful Christian who fulfill the Royal Law to walk in LOVE. For you see, we who BELIEVE in Jesus as our Lord and Savior to be circumcised of the HEART by our FAITH in Jesus are) who shall be JUDGED BY the Law of Liberty.”
Now, even the Jesus Words ONLY Christians know and understand that the REMNANT of Israel will not be saved until Jesus returns. But yet, they argue that ALL of the people in the Bible called the JEWS are NOT the children of Israel. But rather, they argue that ALL of the Jews in the Bible are the Gentile Edomite people who worshiped the God of Abraham in the Temple WITH the men of Israel of the 10 northern tribes. At least, that is the way that the brother in the Lord who wrote to me explained how he believes. And from what I have read on the history of the Kharzarian Jews, that brother's explanation agreed with what the so-called true Hebrew Israelite website teaches. Again, I agree that there are SOME Jews in the Bible that fit THEIR description as being Jews that are NOT the TRUE Jews of the children of Israel. In the PAST I had interpreted those hardcore unbelieving Jews as children of Abraham through the seed or lineage of Ishmael and Esau. And that is still a VALID interpretation that does NOT contradict any other part of God’s word. But NOW, I also see ANOTHER possibility for WHO the Jews of the synagogue of Satan could be. It is ALWAYS the LEADERS of the Jews who wanted to KILL Jesus. And it was the LEADERS of the Jews that PERSECUTED the church. So let us look at some verses speaking of the Scribes and Pharisees who were in league with king Herod.
Mark 8:15.
“And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven (Or the bread or TEACHING of the Pharisees. But it also means to be HOT or heated. In other words, beware of the HATRED) of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.”
So WHY beware of the leaven of king Herod? Keep reading and you will see.
Luke 13:30-35.
“And, behold, there are LAST which shall be FIRST, and there are FIRST which shall be LAST. (The children of Israel were chosen FIRST but most rejected Jesus so they will be LAST to inherit eternal life. And the Gentiles who were chose LAST shall be the FIRST to receive eternal life) 31. The same day there came CERTAIN of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill you. (Here we see that SOME and more specifically CERTAIN of the Pharisees were in league with king Herod it the plot to KILL Jesus) 32. And he said unto them, Go you, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. 33. Nevertheless, I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perishes out of Jerusalem. 34. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kill the prophets, and stone them that are sent unto you; how often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen does gather her brood under her wings, and you would not! 35. Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, You shall not see me, until the time come when you shall say, Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.”
In Matthew 21:23-32 Jesus tells the CHIEF priests and the ELDERS of the PEOPLE, speaking of the children of Israel, that the publicans and the harlots will enter into the kingdom BEFORE them. It would be wrong to conclude that every single one of the chief priests, Scribes, Pharisees, and elders of the PEOPLE of God are ALL so-called FAKE Jews who are EDOMITES and NOT true Israelites. But at the same time, it would also be wrong to conclude that it is impossible for NONE of them to be Edomites who were circumcised in the flesh and who kept the Law of Moses. And as we continue reading the Scriptures, you will see that SOME of the LEADERS of the chosen people of God were of the SECT of the Alexandrian Jews. The Alexandrian Jews were heavily influenced with Greek philosophy. And SOME of the LEADERS of the children of Israel were in LEAGUE with Herod and the Herodians.
Acts 4:26-31.
“The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. (Peter is quoting Psalm 2 as being a fulfillment of the Roman kings and rulers of the children of Israel being in league together AGAINST Almighty God and His Messiah) 27. For of a truth against Your holy child Jesus, whom You have anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, (Now again, it is wrong to conclude that ALL of the people of Israel as so-called FAKE people of God who were ALL Edomites) 28. For to do whatsoever Your hand and Your counsel determined before to be done. (In other words, it was PROPHESIED that this league between SOME of the people of God and the kings would happen) 29. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto Your servants, that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30. By stretching forth Your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of Your holy child Jesus. 31. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”
So then, clearly, there were SOME of the PEOPLE of God who were in league with king Herod and his Gentile leaders to be against God and His Messiah, Jesus.
Matthew 22:15-18.
“Then the Pharisees went and took counsel on how they might entangle him in his talk. 16. And they sent out unto him their disciples WITH the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God in truth, neither care you for any man: for you regard not the person of men. (In other words, Jesus did NOT seek the praises of MEN. Please notice that at least SOME of the Pharisees were WITH the HERODIANS) 17. Tell us therefore, What do you think? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? 18. But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why do you tempt me, you hypocrites?
Mark 12:13.
“And they sent unto him CERTAIN of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.”
Here we see that it was a CERTAIN sect of the Pharisees and NOT ALL of the Pharisees were in league with the Herodians. We also see from this verse of Scripture that at least SOME of the Herodians MIGHT have been proselyte Jews. But it is quite clear that CERTAIN of the Pharisees were NOT the SAME people as the Herodians.
Mark 3:6-12.
“And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel WITH the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him. 7. But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, AND from Judaea, 8. And from Jerusalem, AND from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; (So, CLEARLY, those from Judaea were NOT the SAME people from Idumaea as some Jesus Words ONLY Christians wrongly claim. For you see, they dogmatically argue that ALL of the men of Judaea in Acts 2:5-14 are the EDOMITE people of the land of IDUMAEA) and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him. 9. And he spoke to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him. 10. For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him to touch him, as many as had plagues. 11. And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, You are the Son of God. 12. And he straightly charged them that they should not make him known.”
So then, WHO are the Herodians?
Please read Acts 9:29.
“And he spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.”
Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Greek word “Hellēnistēs” translated as the word “Grecians”.
G1675 Ἑλληνιστής Hellēnistēs hel-lay-nis-tace' From a derivative of G1672; a Hellenist or Greek speaking Jew: - Grecian. Total KJV occurrences: 3.
Let us read Acts 9:29 from the New International Version or translation.
Acts 9:29, NIV:
“He talked and debated with the Hellenistic Jews, but they tried to kill him.”
So then, what is a Hellenistic Jew? Here is a quote from another website. The emphasis is mine.
A “Hellenist Jew” is a Jewish person who was born in an area highly influenced by Greco-Roman culture. This would contrast with Jews born and raised in Judea, Samaria, Galilee, Perea, or other areas near Jerusalem. Hellenist Jews typically spoke Greek as their first language and generally didn't have a problem with the Roman Empire. Some Hellenistic Jews did indeed believe in Jesus. Now, whether or not they were TRUE BORN-AGAIN Christians, that is for you to decide. Please read Acts 6:1,8-13. “And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians (Or there arose a murmuring of the HELLENISTICS Jews) against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration… …8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. 9. Then there arose CERTAIN of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. 10. And they were NOT able to RESIST the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke. 11. Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God. 12. And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council, 13. And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceases not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:”
Now, some Christians believe that SOME of the Hellenistic Jews who became believers in Jesus were widows who were not treated as good as the other widows. And so they went to the synagogues that they used to attend and stirred up the Jews of their CERTAIN SECT. I can see that as a possibility but I do not necessarily agree that it was the widows in the church. Rather, it seems more likely that CERTAIN Jews that were Hellenistic Jews belonging to various Hellenistic synagogues such as the Alexandrian Jews.
Act 9:29.
“And he (The Apostle Paul) spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: (The HELLENISTIC unsaved Jews) but they went about to slay him.”
Now, in Acts chapter 11 we see that a GREAT MANY of the Grecians or the HELLENISTIC Jews believed and turned to the Lord.
Acts 11:19-21.
“Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only. 20. And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they had come to Antioch, spoke unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. (Or the disciples of Jesus preached the gospel of Jesus to the JEWS ONLY and to NONE other and these particular Jew were HELLENISTIC Jews) 21. And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.”
Here we see that not ALL of the Hellenistic Jews hated Jesus and his disciples and that a GREAT NUMBER of Hellenistic Jews turned to the Lord to be saved. So to ME, it appears that it was always the LEADERS of the chosen people of God who stirred up SOME of the people to cry out for Jesus to be crucified. And it was NOT ALL of the leaders, but rather, the Hellenistic Jews who were ALSO LEADERS of the people of God that were ENVIOUS of power over the people. Otherwise, God saved the WRONG people IF every single person called a JEW in the Bible were ALL the Edomite people and NOT ONE single person called a Jew was a TRUE JUDAHITE of the Tribe of Israel.
