Chapter 11.
In John 4:22, Jesus said that Salvation is OF the Jews. What does Jesus mean by his words, “Salvation is OF the Jews?” Let us go ahead and read that verse of Scripture.
John 4:22.
“You worship you know not what: we know what WE worship: for salvation is of the Jews.”
Jesus is talking to a Samaritan woman at the well of Jacob. Notice that Jesus refers to himself as being a Jew. The Samaritan woman said that the Samaritans worshiped God in the mountains of Samaria, but you Jews say that God must be worshiped in Jerusalem. So then the Samaritan woman called Jesus a JEW and Jesus did not correct her or deny that he was a Jew. But rather, Jesus said that Salvation is OF the Jews. So WHAT do these words of Jesus MEAN? Now, the only reason that I ask this question is because SOME Christians, who call themselves the Jesus WORDS Only Christians, sincerely believe with all of their heart that ALL of the people in the Bible who are called JEWS are NOT the chosen people of Almighty God. But rather, they believe that all of the people in the Bible who are called the Jews are the Edomite people. And the pagan Edomites SAY they are Jews but Jesus says that they are the children of Satan. Now, there is absolutely no doubt that SOME of the people in the New Testament who are called the Jews are NOT the chosen people of God of the lineage of Jacob. But rather, they are the BROTHERS of Jacob and NOT the children of PROMISE. In other words, some of the people that SAY they are Jews are NOT of the seed of Jacob. But rather, they are of the seed of Ishmael and the seed of Esau, And thus, they are the children of Abraham, but they are NOT of the seed of PROMISE. Therefore, THEY are NOT a part of the children of Israel even those that may SAY that they are God’s chosen people. But just because SOME of the Jews are NOT the TRUE Jews, that does NOT mean that ALL of the Jews are of the children of Satan. The TRUTH of the matter is that the Hebrew word in the Old Testament that means Judahite is TRANSLATED as the English word “JEW”. But we all know and understand that the translated word “Jew” MEANS a person from the Tribe of JUDAH. So WHY would the translators use the SAME English word “Jew” in the New Testament IF the Greek word “Ioudaios” did NOT mean a person from the Tribe of Judah? Why would they use the same Greek word when referring to Jesus IF that Greek word truly means a heathen pagan Edomite Gentile or any Gentile person? They would NOT! So, the TRUTH of the matter is the SOME of the people who were AMONG the JEWS were indeed the children of Abraham, BUT they were NOT in the lineage of Jacob. And thus, THEY were NOT the TRUE JEWS. Rather, they were of the seed of Ishmael and the seed of Jacob who kept the Law of Moses along WITH the TRUE Jews. So why did Jesus call THOSE PARTICULAR Jews the children of the Devil? Being a child of the Devil simply means that they were doing the WORKS of the Devil, according to 1 John 3:8-10. Those particular Jews were living in sin by having HATRED in their heart wanting to kill Jesus. The mere fact that MANY Jews BELIEVED in Jesus as the Messiah and they followed Jesus proves that MANY if not MOST of the Jews were indeed the chosen people of God of the seed of PROMISE. And thus, the Bible itself in the NEW Testament uses the word “Jews” to refer to ALL TWELVE tribes of Israel and NOT just the Tribe of Judah ONLY. Therefore, the words of Jesus saying that Salvation is OF the Jews does NOT mean that Jesus came to save the Tribe of Judah ONLY. Nor do the words of Jesus saying that he was sent to the lost sheep of Israel mean that Jesus came to save the 10 tribes of Israel ONLY. For you see, the HOUSE of Israel was NOT DIVIDED when the children of Israel, ALL twelve tribes of Israel, were in the wilderness, according to Acts 7:42 and Amos 5:25. In chapter 10 we learned that the two divided houses came back together as the ONE HOUSE of Israel after their CAPTIVITY. And that is why the New Testament uses the ONE word “JEWS” to refer to ALL TWELVE tribes of Israel. There is NOW only ONE HOUSE of Israel and they are ALL called the JEWS. So then, if there is now only ONE HOUSE of Israel, then why did Jesus say that Salvation is OF the JEWS? Why did Jesus not say that salvation is of ISRAEL? The Greek word that is translated as the preposition “OF” means origin. So then, the origin of Salvation is THROUGH a JUDAHITE. And that Judahite is Jesus. For you see, Jesus was born of the seed of David or the HOUSE of David. And in Matthew 1:1, King David is called the son of Abraham. Notice that it says son of Abraham and NOT the son of ABRAM. Of course, we all know that David’s biological father was Jesse. God has things written in a certain way to get us to dig deeper into His word. Ishmael is the son of Abram whose name God changed some 13 years later after Ishmael was born of Abram and Hagar. Then Abraham’s son Isaac had twins named Esau and Jacob. Esau came out first but he SOLD his birthright for a bowl of pottage, according to Genesis 25:30-34. The Jews who wanted to KILL Jesus in John 8 said that they were the children of Abraham, but they were NOT of the seed of PROMISE that was given to the twelve sons of Jacob who became the fathers of the twelve tribes of Israel. But the PROMISE of the Messiah was OF the Judahite named Judah, the father of the Tribe of Judah. In Genesis chapter 49, Jacob prophesied over his 12 sons and here is what he prophesied over his son Judah.

“Judah, you are he whom your brethren shall praise: your hand shall be in the neck of your enemies; your father's children shall bow down before you. (Speaking of the 10 tribes of Israel since the Tribe of Benjamin was given to the tribe of Judah. This is a PROPHECY of the Messiah, you are he, or out of your seed the Messiah will come) 9. Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, you are gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? 10. The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; (The word Shiloh means tranquil or peaceful. And AFTER Jesus rules over the earth without any wars for 1000 years, then he will commit the ruling over the earth back into the hands of his God and Father, according to 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, Micah 4:6-8, and many other verses of Scripture) and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. 11. Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: (Speaking of Jesus executing the wrath of God) 12. His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.”
Here are some other prophecies of the Messiah coming out of the Tribe of Judah.
Numbers 24:17-19.
“I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, (Or there will come a flaming fire taking vengeance out of the seed of Jacob) and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel, (To rule with a rod of iron over his enemies) and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. 18. And Edom shall be a possession, (Or occupancy) Seir also shall be a possession (Or occupancy) for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly. 19. Out of Jacob shall come he (Speaking of the Messiah Jesus) that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remains of the city.”
Hosea 11:11,12.
“They (Speaking of the children of Israel) shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, says the LORD. (In other words, during the Islamic Muslim war against Israel and the city of Jerusalem, the Jews will be taken captive AGAIN by the Assyrian also known as the antichrist or the son of perdition) 12. Ephraim compasses about me with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet rules with God, and is faithful with the SAINTS.”
Micah 5:3-9.
“But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting. (Speaking of the prophecies of the first and the second coming of the Messiah being of old. Verse 2 is a prophecy of the first coming of Jesus and the remaining verses will be fulfilled just before the second coming of Jesus. So CLEARLY, the children of Israel will be taken CAPTIVE AGAIN. And the only way for that it happen is if the JEWS in the land of Israel are the TRUE JEWS) 3. Therefore, will he give them up, until the time that she which travails has brought forth: (In other words, God turned to the Gentiles to provoke Israel to jealousy) then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. 4. And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. 5. And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: (Which is now called the STATE of Israel) and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. (Most likely speaking of the seven churches of Asia and our commander and chief, Jesus, the captain of the host) 6. And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he comes into our land, and when he treads within our borders. (The dispersed of Israel do not have borders. So clearly, this is yet another prophecy of modern day Israel that will be CONQUERED by the Assyrian and his Islamic Muslim armies. And when God hears the cries of his chosen people, the children of Israel, then He will send His Messiah Jesus to DELIVER the REMNANT of His people) 7. And the REMNANT of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarries not for man, nor waits for the sons of men. 8. And the REMNANT of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treads down, and tears in pieces, and none can deliver. 9. Your hand shall be lifted up upon your adversaries, and all your enemies shall be cut off.”
And THEN, the children of Israel shall dwell SAFELY.
Jeremiah 23:6.
“In his days Judah shall be SAVED, and Israel shall dwell SAFELY: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.”
In other words, Judah is a FIGURE of the church, the SAINTS in Jesus Christ who will be SAVED, given eternal life, and will rule and reign WITH Jesus over Israel and the Gentile nations who survive the wrath of God. And Israel will be DELIVERED in their MORTAL bodies along with those left alive of the Gentile nations after Jesus executes the wrath of God.
Jeremiah 33:16.
“In those days shall Judah be SAVED, and Jerusalem shall dwell SAFELY: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.”
But that does NOT mean that no more Jews can be saved UNTIL Jesus returns. Yes, God turned the gospel to the Gentiles, but God CONTINUES to save ANY Jew who BELIEVES in His Son Jesus as their Messiah. To summarize this chapter, the Jews in the land of Israel today are indeed the TRUE CHOSEN people of God called the children of Israel in the Bible. There are many different SECTS of Jews like there are many different church denominations among Christians. There are PRACTICING Jews like there are practicing Christians. There are pew warming Jews like there are pew warming Christians. There are NON practicing Jews like there are non practicing Christians. And it MIGHT be that the STATE of Israel was formed by MAN and NOT by God, but God still PROPHESIED that this would happen. Let us read that prophecy again.
Isaiah 54:15.
“Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake.”
Hosea 8:4.
“They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.”
So how can anyone DENY that the Jews in Israel are the TRUE Jews? The phrase “not by me” speaks of the six day WAR and taking the land by FORCE. God intervened to miraculously SHORTEN the war because God HATES war and violence. God knows His chosen people are stiffnecked and impatient and that is why God prophesied that THEY would gather themselves. God ALLOWED it to happen just like He ALLOWED them to have a king over them like all of the nations. God allowed it to show them that His WAY is the BEST way.
