K-16. THE BOOK OF REVELATION CHAPTER 16.

          Rev. 16:1. "And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth."

             Rev. 16:2. "And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshiped his image."

          Rev. 16:3. "And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea."

          Rev. 16:4. "And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood."

          Rev. 16:5. "And I heard the angel of the waters say, You are righteous, O Lord, which are, and was, and shall be, because you have judged thus."

          Rev. 16:6. "For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy."

          Rev.16:7. "And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments."

          Rev. 16:8. "And the fourth angel poured out

his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire."

          Rev. 16:9. "And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory."

          Rev. 16:10. "And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,"

          Rev. 16:11. "And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds."

          Rev. 16:12. "And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

          Rev. 16:13. "And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet."

          Rev. 16:14. "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty."

          Rev. 16:15. "Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame."

          Rev. 16:16. "And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."

          Rev. 16:17. "And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done."

          Rev. 16:18. "And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great."

          Rev. 16:19. "And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

          Rev. 16:20. "And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found."

          Rev. 16:21. "And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great."

             Let us go back to Revelation 16:1 and see what this verse is telling us.

          Rev. 16:1. "And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the WRATH (again this word that is TRANSLATION as the WRATH of God in the Greek word "THYMOS", which I believe should have been translated FIERCENESS) of God upon the earth."

             Again I believe that the FIRST SIX VIALS are poured out DURING the time of GREAT tribulation and it is ONLY the SEVENTH VIAL that is actually THE WRATH of Almighty God, just like it is ONLY the SEVENTH TRUMPET that is the WRATH of God where the first SIX trumpets are the great tribulation just like the first SIX seals are the great tribulation and the SEVENTH seal is the WRATH of God.

             Let us take a look at verse 2 of chapter 16.

          Rev. 16:2. "And the FIRST went, and poured out his VIAL upon the earth (sometimes the earth refers to mankind or people rather than dirt and soil. When we read the Lord's prayer it says IN earth and not ON earth and mankind was formed from the "earth" or from the soil, the dust of the ground. Also the Greek word translated as earth also means the LAND, and in, a geographical area or region of the earth); and there fell a noisome and grievous SORE upon the men (or upon the people both male and female) which had the MARK of the beast, and upon them which worshiped his image."  

             Now even though the first six SEALS and the first six TRUMPETS and the first six VIALS are poured out DURING the time of GREAT tribulation this does NOT mean the seal number one is exactly the same as trumpet number one and vial number one and so on. However, you will see that the SIXTH TRUMPET and the SIXTH VIAL BOTH show us an ARMY and the great Euphrates River, which we will take a closer look at when we get there. 

             For now, I want you to notice that the plague of SORES here in this verse is ONLY poured out on those who HAVE the MARK of the beast. In other words, ONLY MUSLIMS will be smitten with these grievous SORES on their bodies. So by this time, it would seem that there will be three groups of people, the JEWS, the CHRISTIANS, and those who HAVE the MARK of the beast and who WORSHIP the image of the beast. Or it may be that there is still a fourth group called the ungodly of the world and this plague is a WARNING to them and well as the Christians and the Jews to NOT be numbered as a Muslim or believer in ISLAM. 

             Let us move on to verse 3.

          Rev. 16:3. "And the SECOND angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea."

              Now while the BOOK of Revelation is NOT written in a chronological order I do believe that the seven seals, the seven trumpets, and the seven vials will take place in the order that they are written. In other words, vial number 4 will NOT take place before vial number 2 and so forth. But also remember that vial number 1 may or may not be an exact match with trumpet number 1. Remember that the first THREE seals have already been fulfilled in history where seals four, five, and six take place during the 3 1/2 years of great tribulation.

             So then, we will EXPECT to see this grievous SORE upon those who already have the mark of the beast and upon those who take the MARK of the beast BEFORE we see the SEA become as BLOOD. I say this because some Christians are saying that the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is the fulfillment of the sea turning to blood and killing all the fish in the sea. Now there may be another oil spill in the future that may fulfill this prophecy, but I myself do not believe that the British Petroleum oil spill is the fulfillment unless of course their repair fails in the future and more oil spills out. Let us see what verse 4 has to say.

          Rev. 16:4. "And the THIRD angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood."

             One has to wonder if there is a connection with the plague of Egypt. This could be speaking of the waters becoming bitter or so polluted that they are no longer fit for drinking. It may be an act of terrorism where some rivers and springs are deliberately poisoned. Revelation 11:18 does say that God will destroy those who are destroying the earth. Or it may be that the waters are polluted by the bloodshed of war and dead bodies. And it may be a supernatural turning the waters into blood by God himself that cannot be explained by the world seeing that they do not believe in God. Or verse 4 may be symbolic where the waters are the multitude of people specifically speaking of the Muslims who are killing the Christians and the Jews and THEY become even more bitter.

             Let us move on to verses 5 through 7 in Revelation chapter 16.

          Rev. 16:5. "And I heard the angel of the waters say, You are righteous, O Lord, which are, and was, and shall be, because you have judged thus.

                              Rev 16:6. "For they (which I myself believe that the "they" are referring to Muslims in the last days who) have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy." (Please understand that I am not ruling out the one world government theory, but rather from my understanding of God's word I myself see that the Muslim domination over one fourth of the earth's land mass and perhaps population fits the prophecies more so than a one world United Nations government implanting a chip as being the mark of the beast. It is certain that there are and will be Muslims all over the world, but NOT being the DOMINATE control over other parts of the world. The blood may be symbolic for OIL polluting the waters in the Middle East. The LIFE of the body is in the blood much like people cannot live without WATER.)

          Rev. 16:7. "And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments."

             No matter who the "they" are referring to, the judgments that they receive are just and righteous. We know that the "THEY" are and will be shedding the blood of the saints or God's people. And in 2 Thessalonians 2, we read where it is a righteous thing for God to repay those who persecute and kill God's people. The interpretation that the THEY are made even more bitter to harden their own hearts to not repent shows us that they are WORTHY to suffer the yet coming WRATH of Almighty God. Let us take a look at verses 8 and 9.

          Rev. 16:8. "And the FOURTH angel poured out his vial upon the SUN; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire."

          Rev. 16:9. "And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues: and they repented NOT to give him glory."

             In these verses, I am seeing that Satan has so deceived mankind in the last days that man has hardened their hearts so much that they will NOT repent no matter how bad things get. This could be what the world is calling global warming. or this could be an extreme sun flare. Whatever, it will be the world seems to explain it away to NOT give God to glory by believing the prophecies written in his word that are coming to pass.

             Let us move on the verses 10 and 11. The Bible speaks of a great falling away or an apostasy in the last days and partly this means that a good part of mankind will say that there is NO God, and we can certainly see this today and it seems to be getting worse.

          Rev. 16:10. "And the FIFTH angel poured out his vial upon the SEAT of the BEAST; and his kingdom was FULL of darkness; and THEY  gnawed their tongues for pain,"

          This again shows us that these plagues during the great tribulation are concentrated in the Middle East which is why Jesus warns us to FLEE that area of the world and do not enter into once the great tribulation begins. Again I personally believe that the THEY here is speaking of the Islamic Muslim nations, who follow the teaching of ISLAM as are seeking to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. The SEAT of the beast speaks of the SEAT of SATAN, which is in TURKEY a Muslim dominated country. This is what I myself believe that MOST of these plagues will be in the Middle East poured out upon the MUSLIMS to try and get them to repent and turn to the knowledge of the TRUTH to be saved. Many in the rest of the world will continue on like the days of Sodom and Noah buying and selling marrying and getting a divorce just like Jesus said. Only the WISE Christians will know what is going on in the world.)

                                Rev. 16:11. "And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their SORES,(I believe this is speaking to the plague of SORES that are poured out of those who worship the beast and have taken the MARK of the beast, who are the SEAT of the beast. So the plague of the sores poured out in vial number ONE may continue to plague the Muslims all the way through the 3 1/2 years of great tribulation. What we do know for sure is that because of THEIR pains of the scorching sun and THEIR sores they blasphemed THE one true God of heaven) and repented NOT of their deeds."

             In other words, they will keep on killing the JEWS and the CHRISTIANS despite the plagues of Almighty God. I am seeing that they become even more bitter because of the plagues that the two witnesses are prophesying to come upon them. Remeber that they will give gifts to one another after they THINK they have won the war against Israel. And that is when Jesus will return and make war with them.

             Let us now take a closer look at Revelation 16:12-14, which teaches us about the great ARMY that comes against Israel in the last days to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

                             Rev. 16:12. "And the SIXTH angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was DRIED UP (now let us ask the question of WHY? Why or for what reason will the water of the Euphrates River dried up?), THAT (or so that, or in order that) the WAY of the kings of the east might be PREPARED."

 

                            Now many Bible scholars speculate that the kings of the east is China, because of the SIZE of China's army. But what some do not consider is that EVERY Muslim, man woman and child is in their god Allah's army. So the kings of the east may very well be all the Islamic Muslim nations east of the Euphrates river, which may also include the Muslims countries to the north. It may be that China will unite with the Muslims to wipe out Israel in exchange for OIL, the wine in the golden cup of Saudi Arabia.

                               Rev. 16:13. "And I saw THREE unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet."

             To ME, this speaks of all three of these entities being evil and who are SPEAKING the SAME thing. The DRAGON we know is Satan, who gives power to the BEAST, which as I said before I personally believe is speaking of the beast system of ISLAM. And then we have the FALSE prophet, which SPEAKS like a DRAGON but LOOKS like a LAMB on the outside, which to ME, this description fits perfectly with Islam as a religion of PEACE. The phrase "like frogs" brings to mind the color GREEN, which is the main color of Islam. Another thought I have is that IF China will be involved the symbol of China is the DRAGON.

           Rev. 16:14. "For they (speaking of these three UNCLEAN spirits)  ARE the spirits of devils, working miracles (remember in Revelation chapter 13 how the FALSE prophet works miracles to DECEIVE the world to worship the BEAST and his image and to take his MARK, But also remember that these miracles were done in the SIGHT OF the BEAST or in the sight of those who are already Muslims. And then because of these false miracles some if not many of the "peaceful" Muslims will take up arms to join the radical Muslims), which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world (or the whole LAND in the Middle East), to gather them (For those who are WATCHING and studying the end times know that ISLAM is gone into ALL the world and seeks to DOMINATE the WHOLE world. We all know that in some places the Muslims use war and fighting to spread the religion of Islam. Now the kings here maybe the kings and leaders of all nations, but to ME, it definitely means the ten kings of the MUSLIM nations that will unite to make war with Israel in the last days.) to the battle of that GREAT DAY of God Almighty."

             The GREAT DAY of God Almighty is speaking of the WRATH of God, which is YET to come. I am quite sure that there will be a WAR in progress between Israel and the Muslim nations that surround her when Jesus comes again. This is one of the REASON as to WHY Jesus comes again to FIGHT for his people ISRAEL. We will talk more about this latter, but for now, I want you to notice how similar the pouring out of the SIXTH VIAL is to the blowing or the sounding of the SIXTH TRUMPET. Please turn your Bible to Revelation 9:12-21, which teaches us about a great army and a great war that is CONNECTED to the Euphrates river. Please keep in mind that BOTH the SIXTH TRUMPET and the SIXTH VIAL talk about the Euphrates river and a WAR or great BATTLE.

             Revelation 9:12-21.

          "One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.

          13. And the SIXTH angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

          14. Saying to the SIXTH angel which had the TRUMPET, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

          15. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to SLAY the third part of men.

          16. And the number of the ARMY of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. (this number may or may not be literally 200 million soldiers. It has been estimated that there were 1.6 billion Muslims in the world in 2010. And again what some Bible scholars may not have considered in that in Islam even the women and children will fight for the cause of their god Allah. So an Islamic Muslim army of 200 million is not that big of a stretch. It says ARMY in the singular and not the plural of combined armies of many nations fighting for different reasons.)

          17. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

          18. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. (these three things speak of modern day warfare and the ONE-THIRD of mankind being will INCLUDE many Muslims who will be making all-out war to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.)

          19. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

          20. And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

          21. Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorcery, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts."

             To ME, this shows that the seven last plagues or the seven vials are not all the wrath of God, but rather it is ONLY the SEVENTH vial that is the WRATH of God just as the SEVENTH trumpet only is the WRATH of God. You see, to ME, I do not see God pouring out his wrath multiple times, therefore the opening of the seventh seal, the sounding of the seventh trumpet and the pouring out of the seventh vial are speaking of the SAME WRATH of God.

             Let us move on the Revelation 16:15,16, which clearly shows us the SECOND coming of Jesus as a THIEF, but here in this passage of scripture we see Jesus GATHERING TOGETHER those who are WITHOUT SIN into a PLACE called ARMAGEDDON and NOT taking them back to heaven for 7 years as some FALSELY teach.

          Rev. 16:15. "Behold, I (speaking of Jesus) come as a THIEF. Blessed is HE that WATCHES, and KEEPS his garments, lest (or for FEAR that) he walk naked (or for FEAR that he be found with SIN in his life when Jesus COMES again. This fear is a genuine love and respect for God and his word to OBEY the gospel of Jesus Christ), and THEY (speaking of the ANGELS that Jesus sends to GATHER TOGETHER his people) see his shame (or for fear that the angel sees that he has SIN in his life and he is LEFT BEHIND to face  the WRATH of Almighty God that is ABOUT to be poured out in the SEVENTH VIAL. Remember that even though we as Christian are not APPOINTED to the wrath of God there are many warnings that the DISOBEDIENT to the GOSPEL will suffer the WRATH of God.).

                             Rev. 16:16. "And he (speaking of Jesus by means of sending his angels) GATHERED THEM (speaking of the FAITHFUL believers who are living WITHOUT SIN) TOGETHER into a PLACE  called in the Hebrew tongue ARMAGEDDON."


             Please notice that the church is gathered together in a place called ARMAGEDDON and NOT taken back up to heaven for 7 years.

             Now these two verses 15 and 16 to ME, definitely speak of the SECOND coming of Jesus where I MYSELF very CLEARLY see the GATHERING TOGETHER of the FAITHFUL believers IN Jesus Christ, who are found WITHOUT spot or blemish and who have KEPT their garments free from the stain of SIN, being taken to MEET Jesus in the AIR over the place called Armageddon. 

             In other words, AT the TIME of this SECOND coming of Jesus as a THIEF to execute the WRATH of Almighty God in the pouring out of the NEXT VIAL, the SEVENTH VIAL we ALSO see the RAPTURE of the church or the GATHERING TOGETHER of the faithful believers in Jesus, who are found to be WITHOUT SIN.

             So to ME, this is WHY I personally do NOT see ALL of the seven vials as being the WRATH of Almighty God as some other Christians teach. But as I said before I do see that God shows his MERCY during his WRATH to lift his wrath lest all flesh be destroyed. And then at the END of the 1000 year reign of Jesus, we do see once again the pouring out of God's WRATH as FIRE come down from heaven. 

             Therefore I am OPEN to another INTERPRETATION of the seven vials as being the WRATH of God being poured out at the END of the 1000 year, which I will explain at the END of this verse by verse study, so as to hopefully not bring confusion. For NOW, I am going with ONLY the SEVENTH vial being the WRATH of God, but I am NOT DOGMATIC on this issue just to make things clear.

             Now let us continue with the remaining verses in chapter 16, which is the pouring out of the SEVENTH VIAL, which to ME, clearly shows the WRATH of Almighty God.

             Please read Revelation 16:17-21.

          Rev. 16:17. "And the SEVENTH angel poured out his vial into the AIR; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done."

                             Rev. 16:18. "And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was NOT since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great."

             Notice that at the TIME of the pouring out of the SEVENTH VIAL we see that there are VOICES, THUNDERS, LIGHTNINGS, and a GREAT EARTHQUAKE such as has never been before with even more emphasis on how great an earthquake this is that occurs AT the time of the pouring out of this SEVENTH VIAL. Now let us compare scripture with scripture to see if we find any similar wording elsewhere in the Bible.

             In Revelation 6:12-17 we see a GREAT earthquake that takes place AT the TIME of the WRATH of God when the SIXTH SEAL is opened and we see the RAPTURE of the church in chapter 7 right BEFORE the SEVENTH seal is opened.

             Then in Revelation 11:12-19 we read that in the SAME HOUR that the RAPTURE takes place there is a GREAT earthquake. Remember that I said the HOUR is speaking of the WRATH of God. So then right AFTER this CATCHING UP into the clouds in the same HOUR, there is a GREAT earthquake and then we see the WRATH of God being poured out AT the sounding of the SEVENTH and LAST TRUMPET just like the WHOLE word of God teaches that this is the way that it will be.

              Revelation 11:12-19.

          "And they heard a great VOICE from heaven (or a SHOUT from the VOICE of the archangel in 1 Thessalonians 4:16)  saying unto them, Come UP hither. And they ASCENDED UP to heaven in a CLOUD (or they were CAUGHT UP TOGETHER to meet Jesus is the AIR where Jesus was in the CLOUDS); and their enemies beheld them.(Jesus returning an a LIKE manner as his disciples saw him leave ascend up into the CLOUDS right before their eyes)

          13. And the same HOUR was there a GREAT EARTHQUAKE, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were frightened, and gave glory to the God of heaven. (this is probably when the remnant of the Jews and those of the nations will REPENT being left alive in their mortal bodies to survive the WRATH of God. So WHO shall abide the wrath of God. The faithful obedient Christians and those who REPENT when they SEE the rapture of the church taking place.)

          14. The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe comes QUICKLY.

          15. And the SEVENTH angel sounded (or the SEVENTH and LAST TRUMPET sounded, which remember the rapture take place AT the LAST TRUMPET); and there were GREAT VOICES in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever.(So then, this is definitely speaking of the SECOND coming of Jesus right BEFORE the 1000 year reign of Jesus)

          16.And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshiped God,

          17. Saying, We give you thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which are, and was, and are to come; because you have taken to you your great power, and have reigned.

          18. And the nations were angry (or the tribes of the earth mourned, or they hid themselves in the mountains and the dens), and you WRATH  IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, AND that you should give reward unto your servants the prophets, and to the saints (speaking of the REWARD of ETERNAL LIFE given to those who take part in the FIRST RESURRECTION which takes place AT the LAST TRUMPET just like the word of God tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:51-54), and them that fear your name, small and great; AND should DESTROY them which destroy the earth.(you see, my dear brothers in the Lord, Jesus does NOT completely DESTROY the wicked as taught in a PRE-tribulation rapture. Do NOT be DECEIVED by this FALSE PRE-tribulation teaching.)

           19. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were LIGHTNINGS, and VOICES, and THUNDERING, and an EARTHQUAKE, and GREAT HAIL."

          This is just like we read in the pouring out of the SEVENTH VIAL, which tells ME that the SEVENTH SEAL, the SEVENTH TRUMPET, and the SEVENTH VIAL are the WRATH of God, which therefore means that the FIRST SIX SEALS, the FIRST SIX TRUMPETS and the FIRST SIX VIALS are opened, sounded and poured out DURING the time of GREAT tribulation. Let us move on to the next verse in this verse by verse study in Revelation chapter 16.

          Rev. 16:19. "And the great city (speaking of the great city Babylon which is where the beast system of Satan deceiving the nations) was DIVIDED into THREE parts (where the THREE parts may be speaking of this GREAT EARTHQUAKE literally dividing either the city of Jerusalem or the city of Mecca into three parts killing 7 thousand people. I say Jerusalem as a possibility because God will be dealing severely with the remnant of Israel at this point in time. But I also see the word "CITY" as speaking of PEOPLE. So this ALSO could mean that all the PEOPLE of the world are DIVIDED into THREE different GROUPS, which are the CHURCH, who receive ETERNAL LIFE at this point in time AT the SECOND coming of Jesus. Then the second group is the 144,000 who are also taken up to be protected but they do not receive eternal life at this time. And then in the THIRD group, we have the wicked and the DISOBEDIENT to the gospel who will suffer the WRATH of God. Now in this THIRD group of people there will be those who REPENT and those who do NOT repent and this third group will include both the remnant of the Jews and people of ALL nations including Muslims), and the CITIES of the NATIONS FELL (this is WHY I myself believe the great city Babylon is the ENTIRE world where Satan is the false god of this present world, because all the many DIFFERENT CITIES of the entire world FELL when the great city Babylon falls.): and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the FIERCENESS (THYMOS) of his WRATH (ORGE)."

             Remember we talked about this earlier how there is more than just one word in the original language that has been TRANSLATED as WRATH, which is why I have come to believe that this Greek word "TYHMOS" is CORRECTLY translated as "FIERCENESS here in this verse, but it is INCORRECTLY TRANSLATED as WRATH is Revelation 16:1, Revelation 15:1, and Revelation 15:7 where it should have been translated as FIERCENESS in these places as well.

             So clearly from this verse we can see that the SEVENTH VIAL is THE WRATH of Almighty God, whereas the FIRST SIX VIALS are poured out DURING the time of GREAT tribulation, which is NOT THE WRATH of God, but rather the wrath of Satan where God allows Satan to oppress the wicked with the righteous judgments of God.

          Rev. 16:20. "And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found."

             This again compares to Revelation 6:14 where the sixth seal is opened and we see the WRATH of God ABOUT to be poured out and every island and mountain are moved out of their places. 

             Also please read Nahum 1:1-8 which describes the mountain and hills melting at the presence of the Lord when he comes in his WRATH.

          "The burden of NINEVEH. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

          2. God is jealous, and the LORD revenges; the LORD revenges, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserves WRATH for his enemies.

          3. The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the WICKED: the LORD has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

          4. He rebukes the sea, and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers: Bashan languishes, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languishes.

          5. The mountains QUAKE at him, and the hills MELT, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

          6. Who can stand before his indignation (or his WRATH)? And who can abide in the fierceness of his anger (or WRATH)? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

          7. The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he KNOWS them that TRUST in him.

          8. But with an over running flood (speaking of Jesus making WAR with his army of angels against those nations fighting against Israel) he will make an utter end of the place thereof,(the PLACE called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon) and darkness shall pursue his enemies."

             So we can see how the islands and the mountains flee away or are moved out of their places at the presence of the Lord when he comes in the FIERCENESS of his WRATH, while we the church who trust in the Lord shall be safe in the stronghold of the Almighty.

          Rev. 16:21. "And there fell upon men a GREAT HAIL (just like we see in the sounding of the SEVENTH TRUMPET) out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great."

             In the book of Job, we are told about how God has laid up in heaven this treasure of great hail that is held in reserve for the WRATH of God. Please read Job 38:22,23 which tells us that these great hailstones are ICE as opposed to some speculating that the great hailstones are going to bombs being dropped from warplanes.

             Job 38:22,23.

          "Have you entered into the treasures of the SNOW? Or have you seen the treasures of the HAIL,

          23. Which I have RESERVED against the time of trouble, against the DAY of BATTLE and WAR?"

              This brings us to the end of chapter 16. So now let us take a look at Revelation CHAPTER 17 to see what it has to tell us.
