Here are some very important questions that I believe that every Christians should ask themself and truly consider the sound logical answer to each question.

#5. What do the words “ALMIGHTY God” mean?

#8. Is the FATHER ever called the “ALMIGHTY”?

#9. Is the FATHER ever called the “God OF Gods”?

#10. Is it possible for the one true and only Almighty God to have another God OVER him or ABOVE him who is HIGHER than Almighty God the Father?

Now all Christians know that Jesus is called the SON OF God. And, according to the Bible itself, Jesus is called the SON OF the Highest, and the SON OF God.

Please read Luke 1:31-35.

“And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS.

32. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom, there shall be no end.

34. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35. And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost (Also called the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, the ONE Spirit, and the ETERNAL Spirit) shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: THEREFORE, (Or for this very reason of this child being conceived in your womb BY the power of the HIGHEST) also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called the SON OF God.”

Here is how this concordance defines the Greek word that is translated as the Highest.

Superlative from the base of G5311; highest, that is, (masculine singular) the Supreme (God), or (neuter plural) the heavens: - most high, highest.

Total KJV occurrences: 13

According to the American Heritage Dictionary, the word supreme means the GREATEST in power, authority, and rank. There can be no one else over or above the SUPREME God. The supreme God is the HIGHEST God or the MOST-HIGH God. And Jesus is also called the SON OF the most-high.

Please read Mark 5:7.

“And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, you SON OF the most-high God? I adjure you (Speaking of Jesus, the SON OF the most-high God) BY God, (Referring to the MOST-HIGH God, the FATHER OF his SON, Jesus) that you (Jesus) torment me not.”

Now, since the Bible itself always clearly identifies the ONE TRUE and ONLY Almighty God as being the FATHER and never states as a fact with no INTERPRETATION needed that Jesus IS the Almighty himself, then it stands to reason that the SON OF Almighty God is NOT the FATHER.

Mere logic and understanding of language teach us that the SON OF the Father is NOT the FATHER. Now, I fully realize that a son can be BOTH a father AND a son at the same and still yet be ONE and the self-same being. I fully understand that a father can be BOTH a son and a father at the SAME time and still yet be ONE and the self-same being. But everyone knows that a son OF a father is NOT one and the self-same being as his father. And everyone knows that a father OF his son is NOT one and the self-same being as his son.

So, to ME, the Oneness doctrine is illogical and makes no sense. For you see, the Bible ITSELF clearly teaches us that Almighty God the Father is the God and Father OF his Son, Jesus Christ. I implore all my readers who are Oneness Christians to read Ephesians 1:1-10 with an open heart and mind. I will highlight all the words and pronouns that refer to Almighty God the Father in ORANGE. And I will highlight all the words and pronouns that refer to the Son OF Almighty God the Father in LIGHT BLUE. Keep in mind that God uses LANGUAGE to communicate with us. And in our common everyday language, we would read these words written in Ephesians 1:1-10 as speaking of TWO DIFFERENT people. The words highlighted in ORANGE are speaking of a DIFFERENT person from the words highlighted in LIGHT BLUE. I will also highlight all the conjunctions showing two DIFFERENT people in GREEN.

Ephesians 1:1-10.

“Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ BY the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful IN Christ Jesus:

2. Grace be to you, and peace, FROM God our Father, AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ.

3. Blessed be the God and Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ, WHO has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places IN Christ:

4. According, as HE has chosen us IN him (Speaking of Almighty God the Father chose that our salvation be IN his Son, Jesus the Christ) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: (God)

5. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children BY Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6. To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted IN the beloved.

7. IN whom (Speaking of God's dearly beloved SON in whom he is well pleased) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8. Wherein he has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

9. Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself:

10. That in the dispensation of the fulness of times, he might gather together in one all things (Speaking of the ALL who BELIEVE) IN Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even IN him:”

Now, if you are honest with yourself and with Almighty God AND his SON, Jesus then you will say that the English language itself is speaking of TWO DIFFERENT persons or beings in this passage of Scripture. For example, if I sent you a letter or an email and I said, “Greetings to you, my readers, FROM your brother in our Lord Jesus Christ, Mark, AND FROM our brother in the Lord, Jim”, then you would NOT INTERPRET my words to mean that Mark and Jim are ONE and the SELF-SAME person. The SIMPLE and easy-to-understand LANGUAGE teaches us that God the Father is a DIFFERENT person FROM his Son, Jesus Christ. In every verse, except for verse 9, we can clearly see TWO SEPARATE DISTINCTLY DIFFERENT persons being spoken of in this passage of Scripture. You would have to be DECEIVED and BLINDED by the enemy Satan to DENY that Jesus is a LITERAL SON OF God.

At the beginning of this study in God’s word, I asked you 10 questions. We already covered the meanings of the words Highest, Most High, and Almighty in the first 8 questions. So now, let us see how you answered the last two questions, 9 and 10.

#9. Is the FATHER ever called the “God OF Gods”?

If you said yes, then you are correct. Almighty God, Yahweh, is called the God OF or OVER all other Gods in the following five verses.

Deuteronomy 10:17.

“For the LORD your God is God OF gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regards not persons, nor takes reward:”

Joshua 22:22.

“The LORD God OF gods, the LORD God OF gods, he knows, and Israel he shall know; if it is in rebellion, or if in transgression against the LORD, (save us not this day,)”

Psalm 136:2.

“O give thanks unto the God OF gods: for his mercy endures forever.”

Daniel 2:47.

“The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth, it is that your God is a God OF gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing you could reveal this secret.”

Daniel 11:36.

“And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God OF gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.”

Now, let us see how you answered question number 10.

#10. Is it possible for the one true and only Almighty God to have another God OVER him or ABOVE him who is HIGHER than Almighty God the Father?

If you answered NO to this question, then you are correct. For you see, the very WORDS or the LANGUAGE itself clearly teaches us that the SUPREME, HIGHEST, MOST HIGH, ALMIGHTY God can NOT have any other God over or above him. Otherwise, language is useless. In other words, we simply must not change the meanings of words just so we can support what we believe and teach. If we cannot trust the simple WORDS that God himself inspired men of old to write down for us to read, then we can not trust God who says that he is the ALMIGHTY.

The Bible ITSELF never says that Jesus Christ is the Almighty. Now, some Christians INTERPRET some verses which they THINK are teaching that Jesus is saying that he is the Almighty. But they are taking those verses OUT of their CONTEXT. For you see, the Almighty God can NOT have another God over or above him and Jesus has Almighty God, the FATHER over him. So since the Father is HIS God, then that means that Jesus cannot possibly be the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God who alone is the FATHER.

Jesus himself calls the Father MY God four times in one single verse. And this is AFTER the Son of MAN Jesus was resurrected from the dead, glorified, given eternal life, and ascended into heaven to be seated at the right hand of the Father. FOUR times in ONE verse is like God knew in advance that Christians would divide themselves over who His Son, Jesus, is and debate and argue with each other.

John 17:20-22.

“Neither do I pray for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21. That they all may be ONE; as You, Father, are in me, and I in You, that they ALSO may be ONE in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.

22. And the glory which You gave me I have given them; that they may be ONE, EVEN AS WE are ONE:”

The PLURAL pronouns “us” and “WE” clearly teach us that the Father is NOT the Son and the Son is NOT the Father. The Bible itself clearly teaches us in SIMPLICITY that Almighty God the Father is a separate distinctly different being or person FROM his Son, Jesus.

Before we get into the verses that SEEM to be saying that Jesus is Yahweh himself, I would like to ask you a few more questions. And then below each question, I will give you my answer straight from the Bible itself.

Would you agree that the Bible itself teaches us that there is just ONE creator?

Please read Isaiah 44:24.

“Thus says the LORD, (Or thus says the Yahweh) your redeemer, and he that formed you from the womb, I am the LORD (Or I am the Yahweh) that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens ALONE; that spreadeth abroad the earth BY MYSELF;”

Now, do the simple words, “ALONE” and “BY MYSELF” mean that someone else was WITH Yahweh when Yahweh ALONE and by himself created everything in the entire universe? Or do the words “ALONE” and “BY MYSELF” mean that there was NO ONE else WITH Yahweh when He alone and by Himself created everything that exists? I am simply asking what these simple words mean to YOU.

If I were to say that I ALONE and BY MYSELF am writing this study in God’s word. Would you think that there was another human being here with me who is helping me write this study? I fully realize that I am not alone in writing this study and I give all the glory to Almighty God dwelling in me who has inspired me to write this study to those who are TRULY seeking the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. My point is that God Himself is NOT a lair and He chose to use simple LANGUAGE to communicate to us. Therefore, we must not pervert or corrupt what God Himself is saying to us by reading into the Scriptures our own personal INTERPRETATION of HIS words. Next question.

Would you agree that the one creator chose to SPEAK forth out from his mouth his word to create everything that is created?

Please read Genesis 1:3.

“And God SAID, (Or God SPOKE the following three WORDS out from his mouth) Let there be light: and there was light.”

Also, please read Hebrews 11:3.

“Through faith, we understand (Or the very Apostles of Jesus understood and taught us) that the worlds were framed BY the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

Now, please read Isaiah 55:11.

“So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: IT (Speaking of God’s word that CAME OUT FROM God’s mouth) shall not return unto me void, but IT (Again, referring back to the SPOKEN word that CAME OUT FROM God’s mouth. And in John 16:27,28, Jesus said that he CAME OUT FROM God. Please read the study “JESUS CAME OUT FROM GOD JOHN 16:27,27” and the study “JESUS CAME OUT FROM WITHIN GOD!” ) shall accomplish that which I (Yahweh) please, and IT (Again, referring back to the SPOKEN word that CAME OUT FROM God’s mouth) shall prosper in the thing whereto I (Yahweh) sent IT.”

Again, referring back to the SPOKEN word that CAME OUT FROM God’s mouth.

So then, we have two choices that we can make knowing that every created thing was created by the word of God.

#1. One can INTERPRET that the word that CAME OUT FROM God is a LITERAL eternal Spirit being who was WITH God at his side. And then that literal divine being NAMED the Word created all things.

OR,

#2. We can INTERPRET that the word that CAME FORTH OUT FROM God came out from God’s MOUTH as God’s SPOKEN word of PROPHECY. And the yet unspoken word of prophecy was within God's thoughts TOWARD a specific goa. And then that plan of God that was with or within God was spoken forth out from God's mount and the SPOKEN word of prophecy came to pass just as God SAID it would. And thus the SPOKEN word that came forth out from God’s mouth BECAME FLESH and dwelt among the disciples of Jesus.

Before you give your final answer, let us look at the possibility of there being TWO separate distinctly different beings who are BOTH named Yahweh. NOT two CREATOR Gods. NOT two ALMIGHTY Gods. But rather, TWO beings who are both called by the TITLE of God who both NOW have the SAME NAME, Yahweh.

Take, for example, there is a man who built himself an empire. And over his empire, he appointed others to RULE different parts of his great empire. But one of those rulers became corrupt and sought the take over his empire. So this man decided to REPLACE this ruler with another. He could have fired the ruler who tried to take over his empire but he decided to allow him to remain in power for the time being until the time was right for his Son to take over as RULER of that part of his empire.

This man proclaimed that one day he would make his firstborn Son a RULER over his empire and that he would fire that ruler who tried to take over his empire. Now, this powerful man always got was he said would happen. He NAMED his Son AFTER himself. And he made a decree that whoever does not OBEY my Son will be CUT OFF from my empire and they will receive NO inheritance.

Now, since we can choose to NAME our son with our own NAME, then why is it so hard to believe that God NAMED his firstborn Son with his own NAME, Yahweh?

Let us go back and read Revelation 3:12 again and notice that Jesus was given a NEW NAME.

Revelation 3:12.

“He that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of MY God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of MY God, and the name of the city of MY God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from MY God: and I will write upon him MY NEW NAME.”

Now, lets us go back to Deuteronomy where Yahweh is called the God OF Gods. I realize that the King James Version does not capitalize the second word God and translates the text as “the God of gods” with a lower case “g”. But in truth, there were no capital letters in the original text. So the first word God should have been translated as the god of gods. The reason that the translators chose to capitalize the first word God is so that the reader could distinguish the one true God from the other lesser gods. And because of the lower case “g” being used all the time, some Christians seem to automatically assume that all other gods are FALSE gods. But that is NOT always the case because a false idol god is NOTHING. A false idol god cannot be SUBJECT to Almighty God because idol gods are made of wood and stone. They are not REAL gods.

But Satan is a REAL god. Satan is a REBELLIOUS god who was not always a rebellious god. Satan is SUBJECT to his God and creator, the ONE true and only Almighty God. The angels are called Elohiym which can be translated as God, gods, a mighty one, and even a goddess.

Here is what the concordance says about the Hebrew word Elohiym.

Plural of H433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative: - angels, X exceeding, God (gods) (-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty.

Total KJV occurrences: 2601

The word magistrate means one who has been given the power and the authority to JUDGE. It also means one who has been given to right to officiate a position of power and authority to administer justice in a particular region.

And the Son of MAN, Jesus, was GIVEN all power and authority to JUDGE. And the reason WHY God gave Jesus this great power was BECAUSE he was the Son OF MAN, and NOT because he was the Son of God. The Father COMMITTED ALL JUDGMENT into the hands of the Son of MAN Jesus after Yahweh the Father highly exalted him to be a God under Yahweh to take the place of Lucifer as the God of the whole earth. For you see, Lucifer rebelled against Yahweh to try and take over his throne.

Please read John 5:23,27.

“For AS the Father HAS life in himself; so has he GIVEN TO the Son TO HAVE (Or literally, to be having) life in himself;

27. AND has GIVEN him authority to execute JUDGMENT ALSO BECAUSE he is the Son of MAN.”

So then, the Bible itself teaches us that Almighty God HIGHLY EXALTED the Son of MAN to become the King of kings and the Lord of Lords. Now, let us go back to Deuteronomy 10:17 where Yahweh is called the God OF Gods before I got sidetracked.

Deuteronomy 10:17.

“For the LORD your God is God OF gods, AND Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regards not persons, nor takes reward:”

Now, one can INTERPRET this verse as speaking of TWO separate beings where the first LORD in all capital letters is Yahweh the creator who has always existed without a beginning and the second Lord of lords is ANOTHER God who is a mighty God but who is NOT the Almighty God.

Or one can INTERPRET this verse as speaking of one being.

I myself believe that the second Lord who is called a great God is a PROPHECY of the Son of MAN being highly exalted to be made Lord, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. And the reason that I say this is that the Old Testament is filled with PROPHECIES of God’s Messiah. Please read Isaiah 9:8,7. But let us read this prophecy in the ORDER that the prophecy was fulfilled and is yet to be fulfilled. I will number the events where #1 means the FIRST event prophesied was fulfilled FIRST. And then #2 was fulfilled AFTER the first event. And the #3 event is YET to be fulfilled AT the RETURN of Jesus.

Isaiah 9:6,7.

“#1. For unto us a CHILD is born, (Please notice that the PROPHECY prophesies that a CHILD will be born FIRST and then) #2 unto us a son is given: (But some Christians have gotten this prophecy backward by incorrectly INTERPRETING other verses to mean that God sent his already pre-existing Son down from heaven to incarnate himself into a CHILD in the womb of the Virgin Mary. But that is NOT what is PROPHESIED to take place so their INTERPRETATIONS of those other verses CONTRADICT this PROPHECY of God. Jesus himself said that the Son of MAN would be lifted up on the cross) #3 and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his NAME shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Remember that the Son of MAN was highly exalted BY his God and Father and Jesus was GIVEN a NEW NAME where every knee will bow to the NAME of Jesus to the glory of God the Father.)

7. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

Also, notice WHO is performing his spoken word of prophecy that came forth out from his mouth to bring it to pass. It is Yahweh himself.

Almost all Christians know that Jesus came in the NAME of the Lord. Jesus came in the NAME OF Yahweh. The Hebrew name of Jesus is Yeshua which means Yahweh saves or the salvation OF Yahweh. Yahweh chose to raise up a MAN from among the Jewish people of the lineage of King David to be his Messiah. The word Christ means Messiah but it also means ANOINTED by God.

And if we are honest with ourselves and with God, then we must be CONSISTENT in how we INTERPRET God’s spoken word of PROPHECY. So to ME, since the PROPHECY spoken out from God’s mouth says that a CHILD will be born and then a son will be GIVEN, then I am going to believe God's spoken word of PROPHECY over the INTERPRETATION on MEN.

For you see, religious Christians have wrongly INTERPRETED that the Word in John 1:1 as being a divine eternal being who was with God at God’s side in eternity past. And then God sent down that eternal divine being NAMED the Word, who was supposedly the already pre-existing God the SON, the second person of a Trinity Godhead, that incarnated himself into a CHILD in the womb of the Virgin Mary.

But that is NOT how Luke describes what REALLY happened. The Bible ITSELF teaches us that God spoke his word to his angel Gabriel, his MESSENGER, to speak to the Virgin Mary the MESSAGE that Yahweh gave his messenger to give to Mary. And then when Mary BELIEVED, saying, be it done unto me according to your WORD then the spoken word of PROPHECY became FLESH in the womb of the Virgin Mary.

The Bible does NOT say that the Word became flesh AND REMAINED the fully divine God. The word of TRUTH simply says that the word BECAME FLESH. And to say that John 1:14 means that Jesus is fully God and fully a human being at the same time is to READ INTO the Scriptures your own personal INTERPRETATION.

I believe that Yahweh PROPHESIED in his word that he would GIVE his own NAME to his Messiah and make him his King of kings, and Lord of Lord to rule and reign FOR Yahweh his God and Father while Yahweh takes his seventh-day Sabbath rest. That is why Jesus is called the Lord of the Sabbath. Please read this one prophecy in Jeremiah. And then for ALL the Scriptures that prophecy of God’s Messiah having the NAME of Yahweh please read the study “WHAT DOES TAKING THE NAME OF THE LORD IN VAIN TRULY MEAN?”

Jeremiah 23:5,6.

“Behold, the days come (Speaking of the first AND the second coming of Jesus the Messiah), says the LORD, (Or Yahweh says that the DAYS are coming) that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. (Notice that the Messiah will come first as a righteous branch and then at his second coming he shall reign as a King)

6. In his days (Speaking of three 1000 year-long days) Judah shall be SAVED (Judah is a type of figure of the church which will be SAVED during the FIRST two days or the first two thousand years), and Israel shall dwell safely: (During the THIRD day or the 1000 year reign of Jesus) and this is his NAME whereby he SHALL BE called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

So then, during the 1000 year reign of Jesus, the Messiah, his NEW NAME shall be called Yahweh our righteousness. This does NOT mean that Jesus is one and the self-same being as Yahweh. But rather this means that Yahweh GAVE his Messiah his very own NAME which is a name above every other name. See Philippians 2:8-11 but for now, let us continue with a verse in the New Testament where the Messiah comes riding on a donkey being praised as Messiah the King coming IN the NAME OF Yahweh.

The Oneness Christians believe that Jesus pre-existed as Almighty God the Father himself and then the Father manifested himself as the Son.

The Trinitarian Christians believe that Jesus pre-existed as God the Son, the second person of a Trinity Godhead, and then God the Son incarnated himself in the flesh.

And the Biblical Unitarian Christians believe that Jesus pre-existed as the spoken word of God or as the prophesied plan of God and then the spoken word of Almighty God the Father became flesh.

So the question is not IF Jesus pre-existed, but rather, in what form as to HOW Jesus pre-existed in eternity past? And another question is, is the beginning in John 1:1 the eternity past? OR is the beginning another beginning some 6000 years ago and NOT the very beginning of creation in the eternity past? To me, the word in John 1:1 is referring to the spoken word of PROPHECY that came forth out from the MOUTH of Yahweh the Father. Jesus said that the Scriptures testify of him. Jesus understood that he was the one PROPHESIED to come. One of the very first things that Jesus did at the very beginning of his ministry was to go into a synagogue and read from the book of Isaiah. And when he finished reading Jesus told the Jews that that passage of Scripture was FULFILLED in their ears. Jesus was telling the Jews, I am he, the one PROPHESIED in the Scriptures.
