WHO IS MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL?
Was Jesus the Michael the Archangel Before he became Jesus?
I have heard groups like the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Seventh Day Adventist teach that Jesus was Michael the Archangel before Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary to become the only begotten Son of Almighty God. And some even teach that Jesus goes BACK to being Michael the archangel or at least goes back to be called by the NAME Michael, which means one who is like God. However, I never was told or taught what passage of Scripture they used to gain this belief. I was also taught by the Trinitarian church denominations that I attended that these groups of Christians like the Jehovah's Witnesses, the Mormons, and the Unitarian Universalism were “CULTS” because they teach against the doctrine of the Trinity as being false teaching. And to try and support the doctrine of the Trinity the Trinitarian Christians pointed out the very OBVIOUS false teachings such as Jesus being Michael the Archangel before he came to the earth to be born of the Virgin Mary and named Jesus, the Son of Almighty God. But to be completely honest with you, it was NOT so OBVIOUS, to ME at first, that Jesus is NOT Michael the archangel. What I mean by this is that when I did my own research on this subject I found the arguments made by the Jehovah’s Witnesses FOR Jesus being Michael the Archangel to be quite convincing at FIRST. Now the purpose of this study is to examine the SCRIPTURAL evidence to see what the word of TRUTH has to say on this subject of Michael the archangel and Jesus the Son of God to see if they are one and the same as some do in fact teach. Before we read any Scriptures from the Bible I want my readers and seekers of the truth to understand that in order for Jesus to be Michael the archangel then Jesus must without a doubt have been created in eternity past. For you see, the Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Michael the Archangel was the very FIRST being that God created and they use Colossians 1:15 as their proof text. And then they teach that it was Michael the Archangel who became flesh in the Virgin Mary to be born as a human being void of any divine nature. And they make this argument solely to refute the doctrine of the Trinity which wrongly teaches that a pre-existing God the Son became flesh but yet remained the fully Almighty God having two natures at the same time one divine and one human. Also, it must be proven by the Bible ITSELF that Jesus was an angelic being in eternity past and that Jesus is an angelic being now seated at the right hand of the Father before it can be proven by the Bible that Jesus pre-existed as Michael the Archangel in eternity past. Let us first examine what the Bible ITSELF teaches us concerning Jesus as NOT being an angel.
Please read Hebrews 1:4-9. “Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, You are my Son, THIS DAY have I begotten you? And again, I WILL BE to him a Father, and HE SHALL be to me a Son? (This verse alone proves that Jesus did NOT pre-exist as God's SON in any form whether it be in the form of an angelic being who are called the sons of God or whether it be a divine eternal spirit being named the Word. In other words, the angels are called the “sons” of God. And, therefore, Michael the Archangel, being an angel, would also be a son of God. But this verse is quoting PROPHECY from the Old Testament of God's yet future Son who was not in existence at the time this prophecy was made. And most certainly Michael the Archangel existed before any of mankind was ever created, according to Job chapter 38) 6. And again, (Speaking of the SECOND coming of Jesus back to the earth in the world yet to come) when He brings in the first begotten (Or the FIRSTBORN of EVERY creature, speaking of God’s new creation of righteous humans) into the world, He says, And let ALL the angels of God worship him. (Speaking of Jesus, the FIRSTBORN from the DEAD, the FIRSTBORN among many BRETHREN) 7. And of the angels He says, Who makes His angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. (So then, all these verses are comparing the DIFFERENCE between the angels and God's first begotten Son) 8. BUT unto the Son He says, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom. 9. You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”
Who does the Bible identify as the FELLOWS of Jesus Christ? Are the BRETHREN of Jesus the angels? Or are the sons of men the FELLOWS or the BRETHREN of Jesus, seeing that Jesus is called the Son of MAN? Are YOU an angel or a human being? The Bible ITSELF teaches us that Jesus is the firstborn among many BRETHREN speaking of the ALL of WHOSEVER BELIEVES that Jesus is the Christ the SON OF the living God who died for their sins. The Bible does NOT say that Jesus is the firstborn among many of the ANGELS. The truth of the matter is that Colossians 1:15 is speaking of Jesus being the IMAGE OF God the firstborn of every creature AFTER the cross. In other words, Jesus was resurrected from the dead to become the FIRSTBORN of every creature in the IMAGE OF the invisible God who alone is Almighty God the FATHER. So the firstborn of every creature means God's NEW CREATION and NOT that Jesus was born or created in eternity past as the first being that God ever created. Please read the studies “Colossians 1:15-17 WHO CREATED ALL THINGS?” and “GOD'S NEW CREATION CREATED IN JESUS CHRIST!” for all the verses proving that Jesus did NOT pre-exist as Michael the Archangel, as God the Son the second person of the Trinity, or as a divine Spirit being named the Word. But for now, let us continue this study in God's word by reading the verses of Scripture about Michael the Archangel. The word “Archangel” in only found two times in the entire Bible. Once it is found in the book of Jude where this Archangel is named Michael. Please read Jude 1:9, which says.
“Yet Michael the Archangel, when CONTENDING with the DEVIL he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not (Or dare not) bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you.”
So here in this verse, we see the Archangel was named Michael. The only other time we see this word “Archangel” is when we read about the second coming of Jesus in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 which says.

“For the Lord, himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the VOICE of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:”
And here in this verse, we see our Lord himself, which is speaking of Jesus, who shall descend from heaven WITH a SHOUT, WITH a VOICE of the Archangel, AND WITH the TRUMP of Almighty God. Now some Christians like the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Seventh Day Adventist as well as others conclude that this means that Jesus will descend from heaven and SHOUTS with the VOICE of the Archangel. So, therefore, to THEM, Jesus himself must BE the Archangel. And since the Archangel is named Michael in Jude 1:9, and Jesus has the VOICE OF the Archangel, then they conclude that Jesus MUST BE one and the SAME as Michael the Archangel. But is this a SOUND BIBLICAL interpretation of these passages of Scripture? Does their INTERPRETATION line up with the REST of God's word? Let us examine some of the other passages of Scripture where we find Michael the Archangel to see what they have to tell us. Remember that the name Michael means one who is like God. And it is this “meaning” of the name of Michael that is planted in the minds of the Jehovah's Witnesses and other Christians which guides their thinking that since Jesus is the IMAGE of God and the name Michael means one LIKE God while interpreting Scripture. But again, that is not sound Biblical reasoning. Now the name Michael, when speaking of the Archangel, Michael is only found five times in the entire Bible. We have already looked at Jude 1:9 where we saw Michael the archangel contending with the Devil to learn that his name was Michael but what else do we see in Jude 1:9?
Let us read Jude 1:9 again.
“Yet Michael the archangel, when CONTENDING with the DEVIL he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not (Or did not dare) bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you.”
Here we see that Michael the archangel did NOT DARE to bring a railing accusation against Satan, the Devil when he was contending with the Devil about the body of Moses, but rather, Michael said, the Lord rebuke you. But Jesus, on the other hand, rebuked Satan to his face saying, Get you behind me Satan, according to Luke 4:8. And Jesus had no problem calling Satan a LIAR and the father of lies in John 8:44. And remember that Jesus was made a little LOWER than the angels during the days of his flesh. So HOW can a MAN have the authority over Satan but Michael the archangel dared NOT to take authority over Satan? It is because God GAVE man DOMINION over the earth. Now, Satan stole that dominion but Jesus restored that dominion to those of us who BELIEVE in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Keep in mind that God NEVER said to ANY of the ANGELS to come to sit at His right hand. And that one single verse of Scripture alone proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that Jesus was NEVER Michael the archangel.
Please read Hebrews 1:3-5.
“Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4. Being MADE so much better than the angels, as he has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. (Or the now highly exalted Son of MAN has OBTAINED a more excellent name that all the ANGELS) 5. For unto which of the angels said He at ANY TIME, You are my Son, this day have I begotten you? (Or this day I have MADE you so much BETTER than the angels) And again, I WILL BE to him a Father, and he SHALL BE to me a Son?”
So then, it was AFTER the cross that the Son of MAN, Jesus was made in the IMAGE of his God to be MADE so much BETTER than the angels. It was WHEN Jesus was resurrected from the dead that he became the FIRSTBORN of every creature to be made in the IMAGE of God. Let us now take a look at Revelation 12:7-9 where we see Michael and HIS angels are once again contending or fighting against the Devil at the beginning of the yet future 3 ½ years of the great tribulation. Only this time we see Michael as being the LEADER over other angels that are called HIS angels. Revelation 12:7-9.
“And there was WAR in heaven: Michael and HIS angels FOUGHT against the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels, (So then, Satan, the dragon, has HIS angels that he leads and Michael the archangel has HIS angels that he leads) 8. And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, CALLED the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
Now we know from other places in the Bible that when Jesus comes again he is coming as a warrior to make war against the enemy of his people, Israel. And thus, Jesus will be FIGHTING for his people, Israel. And then at that time at the second coming of Jesus, Israel will recognize Jesus as their MESSIAH. And we know that Jesus is coming with HIS armies, the army of SAINTS and the army of ANGELS. Now to me, it is very easy to see that Jesus is over and above Michael the archangel who is leading the army of angels of Jesus which, in truth, belongs to Almighty God Himself. Please read Revelation 19:11-16 where we see Jesus coming with HIS armies of angels to make WAR with the devil and his armies which is almost identical with what we just read in Revelation 12:7-9 where Michael and HIS angels are making war with the devil.
Revelation 19:11-16.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse, and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness, he does judge and makes WAR. 12. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15. And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16. And he has on his vesture and on his thigh a name is written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
Now this passage of Scripture is CLEARLY speaking of Jesus who is coming from heaven with the ARMIES of heaven to make WAR. So then, the Jehovah's Witnesses and some other Christians wrongly CONCLUDE that since Revelation chapter 12 teaches us that Michael the Archangel is IDENTIFIED as making WAR with the Devil and the angels of the Devil, Jesus is coming to make war, then Jesus must be Michael the archangel. In other words, since the angels of heaven or the armies of heaven are identified as being HIS, as in Michael’s angels, as in, the angels of heaven are under Michael the Archangel’s leadership, then Jesus MUST be Michael the Archangel because here in Revelation chapter 19 Jesus is described coming from heaven with armies FOLLOWING HIM. But again, is this a SOUND BIBLICAL conclusion that is based on the WHOLE word of Almighty God? It may appear to be a sound logical conclusion but there is more evidence that we must closely examine before we can be absolutely sure this interpretation is BIBLICAL or NOT BIBLICAL. Please keep in mind that ANOTHER interpretation can be that Jesus is OVER Michael who is over the other angels, much like Jesus is a King who is over other kings who are over others. So then, with this line of reasoning engrained in the minds of the Jehovah's Witnesses that Michael is LEADING HIS angels in WAR against the DEVIL and his angels, the leaders of the Watch Tower Society take the Jehovah's Witnesses to the book of Daniel showing a prophecy of Michael standing up for the people of Israel in the last days. Let us now look at Daniel 12:1,2 where we once again see Michael the Archangel, who we also see is called the GREAT PRINCE STANDING UP for HIS people Israel.
Daniel 12:1,2.
“And at that time, shall Michael STAND UP, the GREAT PRINCE which stands for the children of YOUR people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time YOUR people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”
Also, notice that there is a RESURRECTION at this time that Michael the GREAT PRINCE that STANDS for the people of Israel and how this compares to 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 which teaches us about the second coming of Jesus descending from heaven with a shout AND WITH the VOICE of the Archangel Michael. Again, as I said earlier, the Jehovah's Witnesses and some other Christians INTERPRET this to mean that Jesus MUST be Michael the Archangel before he came in the flesh and was given the name Jesus because he is shown having the VOICE of the archangel and he is called the GREAT PRINCE. That stands up for HIS people. But again, I ask you is the INTERPRETATION a SOUND BIBLICAL interpretation? Can we absolutely be SURE that Jesus is, in fact, Michael the Archangel based on these passages of Scripture ALONE? Keep in mind that ANOTHER interpretation can be that Jesus descends from heaven ALONG WITH the archangel Michael whose voice repeats the shout or command of his commander and chief, Jesus Christ. In other words, Jesus descends from heaven with a SHOUT, and then Michael the Archangel who is WITH Jesus then uses his voice to give the orders of Jesus to the other angels. And ALSO keep in mind that there are MANY types, figures, and SHADOWS of Jesus but NONE of them are actually Jesus himself. So, Michael, in some instances is a FIGURE of Jesus who is LIKE unto God. The name Israel means one who will rule AS God and Israel is a TYPE or figure of Jesus but Israel is NOT Jesus himself. Joseph was a type or figure of Jesus but we all know that Jesus did NOT pre-exist as Joseph. Boaz was a type or figure of Jesus as the “kinsman” redeemer but we all know that Jesus did NOT pre-exist as Boaz. And neither did Jesus pre-exist as Michael the archangel. Let us continue this study in God's word to find what the WHOLE word of TRUTH teaches us on this subject of answering the question “Was Jesus Michael the Archangel BEFORE the ANGEL Michael supposedly became Jesus?” Please take a look at Daniel 10:13 where Michael the Archangel is called ONE of the CHIEF PRINCES and then we will take a look at Daniel 10:21 where Michael is called YOUR PRINCE as referring to Daniel who is of the house of Israel. In other words, Michael is called the CHIEF PRINCE of the house of Israel.
Daniel 10:13.
“But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, ONE of the CHIEF PRINCES, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”
Now, the leaders of the Watch Tower Society publications that interpret and write the church doctrine of the Jehovah's Witnesses who teach that Jesus was Michael before he was made flesh and given the name Jesus dogmatically teach that this word “ONE” here in this verse means FIRST, as in, being NUMBER ONE or being the HIGHEST ONE of ALL other princes. So then, IF this is TRUE, then they have a pretty good argument for Jesus being Michael the Archangel. But before we take a closer look at the Hebrew word “ECHAD” that is translated as “ONE” here in verse 13 of Daniel chapter 10, let us take a look at the fifth and final verse where Michael the Archangel is mentioned in the Bible. Please take a look at Daniel 10:21 where Michael is called YOUR PRINCE as speaking to Daniel, who is of the house of Israel.
Daniel 10:21.
“But I will show you that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holds with me in these things, but Michael YOUR PRINCE.”
Again, it is the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY and NOT the BIBLE ITSELF that teaches the Jehovah's Witnesses that Jesus was Michael the Archangel BEFORE he became Jesus. You see my dear Jehovah's Witnesses reader, the Watchtower Society publication like to FOCUS on the fact that Michael is called ONE of the CHIEF PRINCES, who is the PRINCE that STANDS and FIGHTS with HIS angels for HIS PEOPLE. They then dogmatically DEMAND that this Hebrew word “ECHAD” that is translated as “ONE” means FIRST, as in, the HIGHEST and CHIEF PRINCE of all the other princes as being the ONLY meaning of the Hebrew word “Echad”. In other words, the LEADERS of the Watchtower Society publications imply that we all know that Jesus is called the King of kings and the Lord of lords which all Christians will agree. So, therefore, they conclude that since Michael the Archangel is clearly shown to be the PRINCE of princes because he is called ONE of the CHIEF princes, or as they claim the FIRST of the CHIEF princes or the HIGHEST of all princes, then Jesus MUST, therefore, be Michael the Archangel. Now I want you, my readers and seekers of the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God, to understand that everything we have covered thus far is based SOLELY on HOW one INTERPRETS the passages of scripture that we have read. In other words, there has been NOTHING that we have read so far about Michael being Jesus that is CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE straight out language from the Bible that Jesus is Michael or Michael is Jesus. So then, HOW can we KNOW for sure WHO has the CORRECT interpretation? Well, we need to keep digging for more EVIDENCE, until we find something that is CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE. And if nothing CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE can be found, then it should NOT be taught as doctrine and especially not as DOGMATIC doctrine. I will come back to this Hebrew word “ECHAD” in a moment, but first I want you to read a couple more verses in Daniel that IDENTIFY the PRINCE of all other princes as being the MESSIAH the PRINCE. Please read Daniel 8:25 where the antichrist magnifies himself and fights against the PRINCE of princes who we know is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Daniel 8:25.
“And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand, and he (The antichrist) shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also STAND UP (Or FIGHT) against the PRINCE of princes, but he (The antichrist) shall be broken without hand.”
Then in Daniel 9:25,26, we read about MESSIAH the PRINCE being cut off which we all know and agree that this is speaking of the crucifixion of Jesus our MESSIAH.
Daniel 9:25.26.
“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the MESSIAH the PRINCE shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troubled times. 26. And after threescore and two weeks shall MESSIAH be cut off, (Or shall Messiah the PRINCE be crucified) but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary, and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”
So then, IF these INTERPRETATIONS of the Watchtower Society that are believed by the Jehovah's Witnesses are seen as being CORRECT, then in the minds of the Jehovah's Witnesses who have NOT been taught the WHOLE Bible, it certainly looks like or appears that Jesus was indeed Michael the archangel BEFORE he became Jesus. But again, keep in mind that the Watchtower Society publications have produced NO CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE evidence from the Bible except for this one-sided DEFINITION of the Hebrew word “ECHAD” that is translated as ONE. Again, the Watchtower Society leaders and the apologists of the Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that Jesus was Michael the Archangel CLAIM that this Hebrew word “ECHAD” ONLY means FIRST, as in, the HIGHEST CHIEF PRINCE who is above all other princes, which we KNOW to be Jesus. So then, does this Hebrew word “ECHAD” mean FIRST? The answer to this question is yes it does, BUT this is NOT the ONLY meaning of this Hebrew word “ECHAD”. You see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Hebrew word “ECHAD” ALSO means ONE, as in, ONE in NUMBER, as in, being SINGULAR. In other words, the ONE and ONLY CHIEF prince. HOWEVER, this Hebrew word “ECHAD” ALSO means ONE, as in, ONE of many other CHIEF princes. In other words, the TRUE definition must be determined BY the CONTEXT that it is found and then COMPARED to other scripture to confirm the TRUE intended meaning of Almighty God intends the word “ECHAD” to mean in the light of the WHOLE word of God. Also, keep in mind that even IF this word “ECHAD” means without a doubt in EVERY case to mean the HIGHEST, then this still does not prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that Jesus pre-existed as Michael before he supposedly became Jesus. For you see, even IF Michael is proven to be the HIGHEST of all the other CHIEF princes this still does NOT mean that Michael is the PRINCE of all other princes. I will explain what I mean by this further on in this study right after we finish seeing the true meaning of “echad” as being one of MANY other chief princes of the angelic beings. I personally believe that Michael and Gabriel were EQUAL in power and authority to each other and that Jesus BECAME the PRINCE of princes after the cross. Know you not that WE shall judge the ANGELS? And we know that we will NOT judge Jesus who is SUPPOSEDLY Michael the archangel.
1 Corinthians 6:3.
“Know you not that WE shall judge angels? How much more things that pertain to this life?”
So then, let us take a CLOSER look at Daniel 10:13 again and see what we find.
Daniel 10:13.
“But the prince of the kingdom of Persia (Speaking of just one of the fallen angels which is believed to be Satan himself) withstood me ONE (ECHAD) and twenty days:(Which is clearly the NUMBER one meaning a NUMBER of many days, and in this case, it is twenty-one days) but, lo, Michael, ONE (ECHAD the same Hebrew word that means ONE of many others) of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”
So here, in the exact SAME verse that is in question, we see TWO words that are translated as ONE, and BOTH words come from the exact same Hebrew word “ECHAD”. Now, we all know that there are MANY DAYS and NOT just ONE HIGHEST day in the NUMBER 21 days. And clearly, we can see that this word ONE and twenty days does NOT mean the FIRST day of these many twenty-one days. Nor does this word “ECHAD” mean the HIGHEST or CHIEF day of these twenty-one days being above every other day. But rather, this word “ECHAD” means ONE single day that is to be added to twenty OTHER single days for the total of 21 days or three FULL weeks which agrees with Daniel 10:2. So then, CLEARLY, the Hebrew word “ECHAD” does not ALWAYS mean ONE, as in, FIRST or HIGHEST ONE. Also, please notice that this phrase CLEARLY and PLAINLY states the word PRINCES in the PLURAL.
Daniel 10:13.
“But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, ONE OF of the chief PRINCES (Plural of the word PRINCE, which CLEARLY is referring to Michael as being just ONE OF the chief PRINCES just like the word of TRUTH CLEARLY and PLAINLY states. In other words, the word ONE here means that there is MORE than just ONE chief princes, but that ONLY ONE of the many other chief princes), came to HELP me; and I (Another unnamed CHIEF PRINCE or just a regular angel) remained there with the kings of Persia.”
You see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, the CONTEXT of this passage of Scripture CLEARLY and PLAINLY teaches us that Michael is just ONE of the many OTHER chief princes, PLURAL, who has come to HELP this other CHIEF prince or angel fight against the prince of Persia to get the answer through to Daniel. CLEARLY and PLAINLY this word “ECHAD” in this particular CONTEXT means ONE, as in, a SINGLE ONE in a NUMBER of the many OTHER chief PRINCES came to HELP fight the prince of Persia. Now if God had intended His word to mean that this particular chief prince was the HIGHEST of all the other chief princes that God would have used the Hebrew word translated as “CHIEF” or HIGHEST”, or the most-high of the chiel princes. So KEEPING things in their CONTEXT is very important when INTERPRETING Scripture. Then we must also COMPARE Scripture with Scripture to see IF the INTERPRETATION we conclude is CORRECT. In other words, we must check and see if what we interpret is in AGREEMENT with the WHOLE word of Almighty God. And as always the CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE language of the Bible should always OVERRIDE these other vague and not so clear speculations. Yes, sometimes these speculations may seem very logical when viewed ALONE and APART from the WHOLE word of God, but no matter how logical they may seem if any line of reasoning CONTRADICTS the CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE word of Almighty God, then they must be rejected and being FALSE. Can you not see, that the Jehovah’s Witnesses are doing the SAME thing that Trinitarian Christians do to try and prove their doctrine of the Trinity and that Jesus is Yahweh Himself? Trinitarian Christians find verses where Yahweh and Jesus say the same thing such as I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. And then they INTERPRET those verses to mean that Jesus MUST be Almighty God Himself. And the Jehovah’s Witnesses are doing the SAME thing by wrongly reasoning that since Michael is called a prince and Jesus is called a prince then Jesus MUST be Michael the archangel. And that is NOT sound Biblical interpretation of the Scripture. Can you not see that every false teaching in the body of Christ is CONTROLLED by keeping those who have been DECEIVED by false teaching AWAY from the REST of God's word. This is why the Watchtower Society does not allow THEIR interpretation of Scripture to be QUESTIONED. This is why the institution of the Roman Catholic Church teaches that the Popes are INFALLIBLE. This is why the Seventh Day Adventists follow their PROPHET above the Bible ITSELF. This is why the church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints claims to be the ONE true church and exalt the writings of Joseph Smith and the other so-called living prophets ABOVE the Bible ITSELF. It is because Satan, the HINDERER of ALL the above-mentioned churches, the god of this world, blinds the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ from being seen and understood correctly, knows that if his followers ever receive the WHOLE TRUTH and nothing but the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God written in the Holy Bible that he would lose all of his followers in these church denominations. With that being said please turn again to the book of Daniel chapter 10 where we will begin looking at the passage of Scriptures that speak of Michael the Archangel, but we will take a much CLOSER look this time around. Again, the first rule of interpretation is to read the CONTEXT and then compare Scripture with Scripture and let the word of TRUTH interpret itself. So then, let us read Daniel chapter 10, verses 13 and 21 when LEFT IN their CONTEXT, and see what we find. Please read the entire CONTEXT by reading Daniel 10:2-21, where we see Daniel having a vision. Also, please notice the pronoun use as you read this following passage of scripture. I have highlighted all the pronouns that refer to Daniel in blue-green or teal color. Please ALSO notice while you are reading the context that someone other than Michael the Archangel has appeared to Daniel in a VISION and is talking TO Daniel about a previous vision that Daniel had where Daniel was seeking God for the understanding of this first vision he had received.
Daniel 10:2-21.
“In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. 3. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. 4. And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel; 5. Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: 6. His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. 7. And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision, but a great quaking fell upon them so that they fled to hide themselves. 8. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. 9. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face and my face toward the ground. 10. And, behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. 11. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto you, and stand upright: for unto you am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. 12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you did set your heart to understand and to chasten yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come for your words. 13. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. 14. Now I am come to make you understand what shall befall YOUR people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. (I want you to notice that NOWHERE in the entire context is the people of Israel called Michael's PEOPLE or HIS people like the Watchtower Society publication teach or imply so they can connect Michael the Archangel with Jesus where we know that Israel is HIS people of the people of Jesus. This is called READING INTO the Scripture the DESIRED meaning to support a church doctrine. This is why we must COMPARE whatever INTERPRETATION that is concluded with OTHER Scripture to see IF the interpretation agrees with the REST of the Bible) 15. And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. 16. And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spoke, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. 17. For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? For as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. 18. Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me, 19. And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto you, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; (Angels or angelic beings who are NOT human beings are MESSENGERS OF God and the prophets of God like Daniel understood that this angel speaking to him was NOT Almighty God Himself, but rather, a messenger bringing the WORD OF the LORD to him) for you have strengthened me. 20. Then said he, Know you wherefore I come unto you? And now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. 21. But I will show you that which is noted in the Scripture of truth: and there is none that holds WITH ME in these things, but Michael your prince.”
In other words, Daniel was in captivity in the Babylonian Empire which was being ruled by the PRINCE of Persia but the prince of PERSIA was NOT the prince who was set in power by Almighty God to rule over God's people Israel. So then, the KEY to understanding whether or not IF Michael the Archangel, who is called YOUR PRINCE, is in fact, Jesus, OUR PRINCE the Messiah, is to IDENTIFY WHO the ME is here in verse 21 where this unknown person or angel that is speaking FOR Yahweh Himself IS who speaking to Daniel and says.
Daniel 10:21b.
“...and there is NONE that holds WITH ME in these things, BUT Michael your prince.”
So then, WHO is this unknown person that is speaking to Daniel who has Michael the Archangel as the ONLY ONE who is standing by his side WITH him fighting against the principalities and powers and rulers of darkness over the prince of Persia?
Answer this question and you answer the question of whether or not Jesus and Michael the Archangel are one and the same being will also be answered. Let us go back up to verse 2 and begin reading this passage again, but this time I will highlight and emphasize some different words and phrases. In the first reading of this passage of Scripture I highlighted all to pronouns that referred to Daniel, but this time I will highlight in dark yellow all the pronouns that refer to this one that had the appearance of a MAN that spoke to Daniel about the previous vision that Daniel had and was seeking the meaning of the vision and you will clearly see that this other being is DEFINITELY NOT Michael the archangel because Michale was WITH him.
Daniel 10:2-21.

(So in this VISION Daniel saw one who had the appearance of a MAN who fits the description of Jesus who says that there is NONE that is WITH HIM except for Micheal the Archangel) 8. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great VISION, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. 9. Yet heard I the VOICE of his words: and when I heard the VOICE of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face and my face toward the ground. 10. And, behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. (Speaking of the hand of an angel of the Lord) 11. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto you, and stand upright: for unto you am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. (Remember that the angels are the MESSENGERS that BRING God's word down from heaven to the prophets and servants of God. God does not send Himself, but rather, He sends His messengers) 12. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you did set your heart to understand, and to chasten yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come for your words. (Here we see that God sends the answers to our prayers the very FIRST day we seek him and petition our need in prayer with our whole heart in unwavering faith as Daniel did. We also see that this ANGEL came FOR the words of Daniel who prayed words to understand the VISION) 13. BUT the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: (Here we see that Satan and the fallen angels HINDER our prayers from getting through to us. One day in the near future, at the beginning of the 3 1/2 years of great tribulation, Satan the hinderer, or the restrainer will be cast down out of the midst of heaven as the god of this world and our prayer will no longer be hindered and we will receive POWER like never before because our prayers will be answered instantly) but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. 14. Now I am come to make you understand what shall befall your people in the latter days: for yet the VISION is for many days. 15. And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. 16. And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spoke, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the VISION my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. 17. For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? For as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. 18. Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me, (Angels can appear in the appearance as a man. This is why the Bible teaches us to be kind to all men lest we entertain ANGELS unaware. Hebrews 13:2 “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”) 19. And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto you, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for you have strengthened me. 20. Then said he, Know you wherefore I come unto you? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, (Or when I have left off from fighting the prince of Persia) lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. 21. But I will show you that which is noted (Or I will show you HIM which is RECORDED) in the Scripture of truth: and there is NONE that holds WITH ME in these things, BUT Michael your prince.”
Please notice several things about this ONE who was speaking to Daniel about the vision Daniel had previously received. First of all, he is DEFINITELY NOT Michael the Archangel because we are CLEARLY and PLAINLY told that Michael was the only one that WILL BE in the FUTURE who WILL BE FIGHTING or WILL hold in these things prophesied in the Scriptures WITH ME the one NOTED in the Scriptures. Remember that Jesus said that the Scriptures TESTIFY of him. All through this passage of Scripture, it is CLEAR that the one who is SPEAKING to Daniel is NOT Michael the Archangel. So what does that matter? It matters because this one speaking to Daniel, who again is NOT Michael the Archangel is describing in the VISION of a FUTURE war in heaven several times. And in that VISION there is one like the Son of MAN or as one like in appearance to a MAN. Verses 5 and 6 give us a clear DESCRIPTION of this CERTAIN MAN that the angel was speaking to Daniel about, who was DEFINITELY NOT Michael the archangel.
Daniel 10:5,6.
“Then I lifted up my eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: 6. His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the VOICE of his words like the VOICE of a multitude.”
Now let us COMPARE Scripture with Scripture and let the word of TRUTH interpret ITSELF in order to learn the IDENTITY of this CERTAIN man, who is girded about the loins with fine GOLD, who has EYES as lamps of FIRE and feet like POLISHED BRASS, and whose VOICE is the sound of a MULTITUDE. Please turn to Revelation 1:9-15 where we see John giving us a DETAILED DESCRIPTION of Jesus which MATCHES almost word for word this description of this certain MAN that was sent by Almighty God to give Daniel understanding of the vision he had previously seen.
Revelation 1:9-15.
“I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and HEARD behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, (Which we know is the FIRST voice that John HEARS and is clearly identified from the context as being the voice of Almighty God the Father that sits upon the throne) 11. Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. 12. And I TURNED to SEE the voice that spoke with me. And being TURNED, I SAW seven golden candlesticks; 13. And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15. And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and HIS VOICE as the sound of many waters.”
Please notice that in BOTH passages of Scripture the similarities of describing the CERTAIN man in Daniel and the Son of man in Revelation. Both passages have the CERTAIN MAN and the Son of MAN having a VOICE of many waters which identifies the CERTAIN MAN in Daniel 10:5 as not just any son of man but as the Son of MAN, Jesus. BOTH are CLOTHED in a garment or linen. BOTH are girt around the paps or loins with a GOLDEN girdle. BOTH have EYES like a flame or lamp FIRE. BOTH have FEET like fine polished BRASS. BOTH have a VOICE of the sound of many waters or VOICE of a MULTITUDE. And here in Revelation this “certain man” like the Son of MAN standing in the midst of seven golden candlesticks is CLEARLY, and PLAINLY identified as being Jesus Christ, the Son of Almighty God the Father. So then, to me, the one described in Daniel with these SAME descriptions in Revelation and who DEFINITELY was NOT Michael the Archangel is describing Jesus in the future. In other words, the angel that is NOT Michael is explaining the VISION of the certain man speaking in the FIRST person. The angel is teaching Daniel that which is NOTED in the Scriptures concerning the VISION of this CERTAIN MAN that would be in the FUTURE. To say this another way this angel was revealing the meaning of the VISION to Daniel in the FIRST person that the certain man is the Son of man, Jesus. You see God sent one of his ANGELS to Daniel having God's WORD to give Daniel UNDERSTANDING of the VISION that he was seeking God for understanding. Now the WORD, the saying, or the message of Almighty God was sent down from heaven with one of God's angels to explain the VISION so that Daniel could both see and hear the ANSWER to his prayer sent from God the very first day that Daniel set himself to fast and pray. In much the same way the WORD, or SAYING, or PROPHECY that was with THE God, in the beginning, was SENT sent down from heaven to the Virgin Mary by way of the angel or messenger Gabriel. And when Mary believed saying, be it done according to YOUR word then that spoken Word, or spoken SAYING of Almighty God Himself that was spoken BY an ANGEL was MADE to BECOME flesh, the Son of MAN, who was given the NAME Jesus. Only this time, instead of just the angel of God giving a VISION of a word of the prophecy of Almighty God, the spoken Word of Almighty God that was spoken by the angel Gabriel was conceived in the womb of the Virgin Mary and she BROUGHT FORTH a man-child. And then when Mary's time came to her full time she then brought forth a human son into the world that had never existed before and called his NAME Jesus, which name means the salvation of YHWH or Yahweh. My point is that just because an ANGEL speaks God’s word that does NOT make that angel to be Almighty God Himself. Let us move on to the next point. The Bible ITSELF teaches us in Exodus 3:15 that YAHWEH is God's NAME FOREVER but it is commonly accepted by some Christians that the name Jehovah could also be transliterated from the Tetragrammaton, the four Hebrew letters YHWH. I personally believe that this will be proven wrong by the original text in the very near future. Therefore, I myself conclude from the WHOLE word of Almighty God that NEITHER the WORD that was WITH God in the beginning nor JESUS, who is now at the right hand of his God and Father, the one true and only Almighty God, is now nor ever was Michael the Archangel as the Watchtower Society of the Jehovah's Witnesses and some others FALSELY teach. In other words, Jesus NEVER was Michael the Archangel, Jesus right now in heaven is NOT Michael the Archangel, and there is no SOUND BIBLICAL from the whole word of God that teaches us that Jesus will someday become or RETURN to being Michael the Archangel. However, there is SOUND Biblical evidence that Jesus never was an ANGEL and that the Son of man will not become or return to being an ANGEL. We will get to those verses in a moment. But first, there may be some who might be thinking that the VOICE of MANY WATERS is NOT the SAME as the VOICE of a MULTITUDE and wrongly accuse me of reading into the scriptures. But if you again COMPARE scripture with Scripture and let the word of TRUTH interpret itself you will CLEARLY see that they are ONE and the SAME VOICE. Please read Revelation 17:1 where we read about a whore that sits upon MANY WATERS.
Revelation 17:1.
“And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will show unto you the judgment of the great whore that sits upon MANY WATERS:”
Then in Revelation 17:15 the Bible interprets itself and teaches us that the many WATERS where the whore sits are many people or MULTITUDES of many different people from every nation and tongue.
Revelation 17:15.
“And he said unto me, The WATERS which you SAW, where the whore sits, ARE peoples, and MULTITUDES, and nations, and tongues.”
So you see, my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, BOTH the VOICE of that CERTAIN MAN in the VISION having the voice of a MULTITUDE, who again was CLEARLY and PLAINLY NOT Michael the Archangel is, in fact, the ONE and the SAME VOICE of MANY WATERS that we KNOW without a doubt belongs to JESUS the Son of MAN, the SON OF God Almighty who is NOT the one true and only Almighty God the Father Himself. So again, neither Jesus nor the Word in John 1:1 is Michael the Archangel, the FIRSTBORN of every creature as the Watchtower Society falsely teaches. But rather, Michael is just ONE of many chief princes that is over a single part of the army of angels that fight alongside WITH Jesus the King of kings and Lord of lords. And the Son of MAN, Jesus was made to be both Lord and Christ to be OVER all the angels, including being over Michael the Archangel who is just ONE of the many chief princes that are UNDER Jesus. And these other chief princes are also over other parts of the army of angels in heaven. Messiah the PRINCE, Jesus is NOW crowned the King of kings and the Lord of lords but he still has THE King, Almighty God the Father Himself who is over HIM. You see, it will be at that particular time in the FUTURE in Daniel VISION that the Archangel Michael will be the only one of all the other chief princes that will come to HELP this CERTAIN one who had the appearance of a man so that the VISION can be FULFILLED. The angel coming to HELP the other angel fight the prince of Persia is a TYPE or FIGURE of the Son of Man. Let us continue taking a look at Daniel chapter 10 for further evidence that neither Jesus nor the Word is or ever was Michael the Archangel, the FIRSTBORN of every creature in eternity past who then created everything else as the Watchtower falsely teaches. You see, I am not anti-Jehovah's Witnesses, but rather, I am against ALL FALSE teaching of every church denomination that is DECEIVING my dear brothers and sister in our Lord Jesus Christ. Now again, the Watchtower Society leaders teach that Michael is ONE of the CHIEF PRINCES of the angels, WRONGLY teach that this means that Michael is the CHIEF PRINCE meaning that he is the PRINCE of ALL other princes. And, therefore, they wrongly conclude that Michael must be Jesus who we know is the captain of the host of the Lord's army. But I want you, my readers and seekers of the TRUTH, to THINK for YOURSELF and to pay close attention and notice that Michael was WITH this certain man and NOT the other way around where this certain man was WITH Michael the archangel. This TRUTH clearly shows us that this one that had the appearance of a MAN was GREATER in authority than Michael the archangel. CLEARLY, Michael was WITH this one like a man and NOT the other way around. Please take a look a Daniel 10:13 again and notice WHO comes to HELP who?
Daniel 10:13.
“13. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to HELP me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”
You see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, it is Michael the archangel that came to HELP the angel that came to EXPLAIN the VISION of this ceratin one that has the appearance as a MAN whose description matches the description of JESUS, the Son of MAN, found in Revelation chapter 1. So then, when the Lord himself descends WITH a shout AND WITH the voice of the Archangel AND WITH the trumpet of Almighty God, then this means that Michael the Archangel is WITH his now KING Jesus FIGHTING ALONG his SIDE just like Michael came to HELP the other ANGEL who was sent to explain the VISON of this one who had the appearance like a MAN, and who alone fought or held WITH this certain MAN that was described just like Jesus, the Son of MAN, is described in Revelation chapter 1. In other words, to INTERPRET that Jesus descends from heaven WITH the voice of the Archangel to mean that Jesus himself IS the archangel is READING INTO that verse the desired meaning which does NOT harmonize with the rest of God's CLEAR, PLAIN and SIMPLE word. IF this INTERPRETATION were true and correct, then it would be logical to say the Jesus himself is a literal TRUMPET of Almighty God because Jesus will descend WITH the TRUMP of God as well. The TRUTH of the matter is that just as Michael was WITH this certain man fighting ALONGSIDE and HELPING in this FIGHT against the prince of darkness of Persia in the heavens is simply a TYPE, shadow, or figure of the Son of man coming in clouds of great glory to make war with the enemy of Almighty God in the future. And so it will be when Jesus comes again with his ARMIES (plural) from heaven where Michael will be WITH Jesus fighting the Devil and his angels. Every passage of scripture does not always give every little detail. So just because we do not see Jesus being named in Revelation 12:7 along WITH Michael the Archangel fighting the Devil does NOT prove that Jesus IS Michael. Also, notice that Daniel refers to this one like a MAN as his lord. Please read Daniel 10:16-19 where Daniel refers to this certain MAN as his lord.

“And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spoke, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. 17. For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? For as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. 18. Then there came again and touched me one like the APPEARANCE of a man, and he strengthened me, 19. And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto you, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for you hast strengthened me.”
Now Daniel is referring to this one in the appearance of a man as his lord does not prove that this being is Jesus himself in a pre-existing form because the Word of PROPHECY of Almighty God has not yet been fulfilled to BECOME flesh. But we do see this as being a foreshadow of Jesus. Quite simply, the Word or MESSAGE of God was sent by Almighty God by way of an ANGEL of God who appeared in the form of a man to Daniel, and Daniel referred to this one in the appearance of a man as his lord. But CLEARLY and most definitely Daniel was NOT calling Michael the Archangel his lord or his ord. But rather, Daniel was calling the one WITH Michael his lord, or Lord. Definitely, this one that APPEARED with the APPEARANCE of a MAN, was GREATER than Michael the Archangel and the description of this one like a man that appeared to Daniel match the description of Jesus found in the book of Revelation as one having EYES of a flame of FIRE. In other words, the TYPE or figure of this certain man that will be in the future will be greater than Michael the Archangel. Now, the angel actually fighting with Michael in Daniel's day may have been equal to Michael who is just one of the CHIEF princes. In other words, this other angel who appeared as a man, may or may not have been a chief prince himself. I personally believe that this other angel was also a chief prince but even if this other angel is proven to be a chief prince that still does not prove that this other angel was Jesus himself pre-existing as an angel. Satan is called a chief prince in Ezekiel 38:2,3 and 39:1 as the chief prince ruling over Gog and Magog. My point is that this angel was a TYPE or FIGURE foreshadowing the yet coming Messiah the PRINCE. Please read Revelation 19:11,12 again and notice one of the descriptions of Jesus as having EYES as a FLAME of FIRE.
Revelation 19:11,12.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse, and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness, he does judge and makes war. 12. His EYES were as a FLAME of FIRE, (Which matches exactly with both Revelation 1:14 and Daniel 10:6), and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.”
Now keep in mind that Michael came to HELP and fight alongside WITH this one having EYES as a flame or lamp of FIRE. So, therefore, it is IMPOSSIBLE for Michael to be Jesus whose EYES are as a flame of FIRE. Also, I want you, the reader, to keep in mind that the WORD of God had NOT YET been fulfilled to become FLESH. And the human Son of God born of a virgin had NOT YET been GIVEN the NAME Jesus when this angel appeared to Daniel in the form of a man to speak the Word of Almighty God and EXPLAIN the one NOTED in the Scriptures which also EXPLAINED the VISION that Daniel prayed to understand. Therefore, to DOGMATICALLY say and teach that this one like a man who EYES were as a flame of FIRE that appeared to Daniel to be a PRE-EXISTING Jesus is not totally accurate because again the WORD had NOT YET BECAME flesh to dwell among mankind in HUMAN form as the Son of MAN. Almighty God had not yet BEGOTTEN His HUMAN Son FIRST as PROPHESIED in Isaiah 9:6,7. And the name of Jesus was NOT YET GIVEN to this child BORN the Virgin Mary who would be called the Mighty God WHEN the GOVERNMENT is laid upon his shoulders in the world yet to come. Quite simply Jesus was NOT YET BORN or brought into existence until his virgin birth. You see, this man-child that was brought forth into the world who had never existed before was brought into existence as a HUMAN being by being BORN of a woman the human Son of man GIVEN the NAME Jesus, which means the salvation of YHWH. In other words, this CERTAIN one like a man is nameless at that point in time when he appeared to Daniel, but we can certainly see that he is a TYPE of SHADOW or a FIGURE of the MESSIAH who is PROPHESIED to come. To say this another way, AT the TIME of Daniel the MESSIAH Jesus, as the SON of Almighty God was only in the PLAN of Almighty God that would one day in the future be brought forth into existence. Only the PROPHECIES of the COMING MESSIAH existed prior to Jesus ACTUALLY being brought forth into existence IN the womb of the Virgin Mary by the spoken word of Almighty God. Yes, the WORD of Almighty God was WITH Almighty God from the beginning. And YES Jesus, in the MIND and PLAN of Almighty God, was WITH God in the beginning. However, Jesus himself was not yet brought into existence in eternity past as the Watchtower Society and other church denominations teach, but rather, Jesus pre-existed ONLY in the form of God's WORD of PROPHECY awaiting fulfillment. Again, there are MANY types and shadows that give us a PICTURE of the coming MESSIAH, but these TYPES and shadows are NOT ACTUALLY a so-called PRE-EXISTING Jesus. You see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, we clearly see and understand that King David in many places spoke things as if Jesus himself were speaking those things of himself, but we know that King David himself was NOT ACTUALLY a pre-existing Jesus. So WHY then do some Christians DOGMATICALLY teach that some of these other types, shadows, and figures are the PRE-EXISTING SON of Almighty God. You see, the CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE word of TRUTH simply states that in the beginning was the Word or logos, and that the Word of logos was WITH the Almighty God and that the Word or logos was God or the word was “THEOS” which is translated as God with a capital “G” by the TRANSLATORS. But in TRUTH, I myself have to ask the question, are these TRANSLATORS a little bit BIAS in translation “THEOS” in John 1:1 with a capital “G”? Again, the only SURE way to know is to COMPARE Scripture with Scripture and let the word of TRUTH interpret ITSELF. In other words, let the CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE word of God speak for ITSELF. Now every honest Bible scholar will tell you that there is NO article “THE” before this second Greek word “THEOS”, but there is, in fact, the article “THE” before the first Greek word “THEOS”.
In other words, John 1:1 should be translated as follows.
“In ‘a’ the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with THE god, and the Word was “a” god.”
One translation of this last phrase reads, “and what god was the word was”. In other words, what Almighty God thought or imagined to be brought into existence His spoken word of prophecy BECAME or came into BEING. And AFTER the cross the Son of MAN Jesus was highly exalted by his God and Father to BECOME a god under Yahweh to rule for Yahweh the Father during the 1000 year reign of Jesus. You see, since Almighty God is SPIRIT and is INVISIBLE, the only way that man can see or understand God is for Almighty God to REVEAL or MANIFEST or CLEARLY SHOW us who he is by SENDING us MESSAGES or SPEAKING to us by way of his LOGOS. And this is what Almighty God did in the Old Testament by sending His Holy Spirit to speak to His prophets and at times God even sent His angels to speak to mankind. But in these last days, Almighty God sent forth His spoken Word that BECAME a body of FLESH, a literal HUMAN being, that the Holy Spirit of Almighty God would descend from heaven to DWELL in this Son of MAN that was given the name Jesus. We see this ANOINTING of the Holy Spirit coming to DWELL in Jesus happening when Jesus was baptized at the age of thirty by John the Baptist. You see, IF Almighty God never BROUGHT FORTH His LOGOS, His Word, His saying as one of our fellow humans to SHOW us the Father, then we could never truly know Him. And in these last days, Almighty God brought forth His word in a different way which was to actually become a human being, a body of flesh that the Holy Spirit came DWELL in. But more than this Almighty God chose to ALSO dwell in WHOSOEVER believes upon His Son Jesus as their MESSIAH who died for our sins and was raised the third day from the dead. Jesus made it possible for this same Holy Spirit of Almighty God that dwelled in Jesus to also dwell in us. Please read the study “JESUS THE CHRIST” and “THE POWER AND AUTHORITY OF THE BELIEVER!”. Now going back to John 1:1 again, any honest Bible scholar, including those who believe in the “DOCTRINE” of the Trinity, which CLEARLY and PLAINLY states that Jesus the Son of God is NOT the Father and that Almighty God is NOT his Son Jesus, will tell you that IF the second Greek word “theos” would have had the article “THE”, then the Word would NO DOUBT BE THE ALMIGHTY God. But since the article is NOT present it is only a matter of INTERPRETATION of what the writer TRULY means. So then, to DOGMATICALLY teach that since the Word was “THEOS” and we know that Jesus is the Word made FLESH, then, therefore, Jesus IS THE ALMIGHTY God is to say INCORRECTLY and FALSELY that Jesus IS THE FATHER, which directly CONTRADICTS the WHOLE word of TRUTH and ALSO contradicts their very own “DOCTRINE” of the Trinity. You see, my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, the CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE word of TRUTH plainly states that to US who are Christians that there is but ONE God who is THE FATHER, and also to us there is but ONE Lord who is our Lord Jesus Christ. Please read 1 Corinthians 8:6 which clearly and plainly teaches us that the ONE God in whom we believe, as Christians, is the FATHER.
1 Corinthians 8:6.
“But to us, there is but ONE God, THE FATHER, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”
And since we KNOW that Jesus is NOT the FATHER, then it is IMPOSSIBLE for Jesus to BE THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God who ALONE is THE FATHER. If you are a Jehovah's Witness you already believe that Jesus is NOT Almighty God Himself and that Jesus came OUT FROM the ONE TRUE God who is Yahweh. But ALL of the teachings of the Watchtower Society teachers are NOT all SOUND Biblical teachings. So I implore all my Jehovah's Witnesses readers to search the Bible for yourselves to see if what you are being taught is the truth of the whole word of Almighty God. In a moment I will show you absolute proof beyond any shadow of a doubt the Michael the Archangel is NOT Jesus and that Jesus was NEVER any angel at any time and will never be an angel of any kind. Now if you are not a Jehovah's Witness and this is new to you, then I implore you to search this TRUTH out for yourself. I have written many in-depth studies on this subject that I have listed in the heading >>>WHO IS JESUS ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE?<<< So again, I implore you to read the WHOLE matter before you make a judgment on me and others who teach against this FALSE man-made doctrine of the Trinity AND the so-called PRE-EXISTING Jesus in the eternity past. And the Jehovah’s Witnesses WRONGLY teach that Jesus PRE-EXISTED as Michael the archangel. And just as I have CLEARLY shown to you, the reader, and seeker of the TRUTH directly from the CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE word of TRUTH that Jesus is NOT Michael the Archangel, I will also show you in these many studies how those who teach this false doctrine of the Trinity have taken verses OUT of the context and have NOT considered the WHOLE word of Almighty God when they TRY to prove that Jesus is THE ALMIGHTY God. You see, EVERY verse they use to TRY and show that Jesus is THE ALMIGHTY God always, in turn, CONTRADICTS their OWN doctrine of the Trinity that teaches that Jesus is NOT the FATHER. Just like the Watch Tower and the New World Translation CONTRADICT each other by claiming that Jesus created everything else by yet the New World Translation of the Bible states as a FACT that Jehovah made ALL things ALONE and by Himself.
Here is Isaiah 44:2 from the New World Translation.
“This is what Jehovah says, your Repurchaser,+Who formed you since you were in the womb: “I am Jehovah, who made EVERYTHING. I stretched out the heavens BY MYSELF,+And I spread out the earth.+Who was WITH ME?”
Obviously, NO ONE was WITH Jehovah when He alone and by himself made EVERYTHING that is made. You can NOT be ALONE and by yourself, IF SO BE someone else is there with you. In other words, the Bible ITSELF clearly teaches us that the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God YHWH is the creator who ALONE and BY HIMSELF created ALL THINGS. And this sound Biblical TRUTH proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that this particular Watchtower teaching that Jesus created everything else is FALSE teaching. So I implore you to come out of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and teach the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. The TRUTH of the matter is that IF Jesus is TRULY THE ALMIGHTY God, then according to the CLEAR, PLAIN, and SIMPLE word of TRUTH, then Jesus would THEN BE THE FATHER which we know is NOT the truth of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. Now to the passage of Scripture that proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that it is IMPOSSIBLE for Jesus to have ever been any kind of an angel and that Jesus is not an angel now nor ever shall be an angel is in Hebrews chapters 1 and 2. We already covered Hebrews 1:3-5.
So now please read Hebrews 2:9.
“But WE (Speaking of the very Apostles of Jesus who were eyewitness) SEE Jesus, who was made a little LOWER than the ANGELS for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man”.
So then, it is made very clear to us with NO interpretation needed that the Son of MAN Jesus was NOT an ANGEL during the days of his FLESH from his Virgin birth to his death on the cross. Now please read Hebrews 1:4-6 again.
Hebrews 1:4-6.
“Being MADE so much BETTER than the ANGELS, as he has BY INHERITANCE OBTAINED a more excellent name than they. 5. For unto which of the ANGELS said He at ANY TIME, You are my Son, THIS DAY have I begotten you? And again, I WILL BE to him a Father, and he SHALL BE to me a Son? (This is a PROPHECY of Jesus to BECOME God's Son on a certain day yet in the future at the time the prophecy was given to the prophets to write down and speak forth. And that DAY that the Son of MAN Jesus became the FIRSTBORN of EVERY CREATURE was the DAY the Almighty God raised the Son of MAN from the dead and GAVE the Son the DIVINE NATURE of IMMORTALITY to become God's, ETERNAL Son) 6. And again, when he brings in the FIRST BEGOTTEN (Or the FIRSTBORN of EVERY CREATION, as in, God's NEW CREATION) into the world, (Speaking of the SECOND coming of Jesus into the world yet to come) He says, And let all the ANGELS of God worship him.”
So then, AFTER the cross, the Son of MAN Jesus was HIGHLY EXALTED to become a God under and subject to his God Yahweh the Father who will rule OVER the ANGELS in the world to come FOR his God Yahweh the Father. It was AFTER the cross that the Son of MAN was MADE so much BETTER than the ANGELS. So plain and simple Jesus was NEVER an ANGEL and Jesus never will be an angel. But rather, Jesus and WE shall JUDGE the angels. The Watchtower Society and the leaders of the “organization” of the Jehovah's Witnesses are either DECEIVED or they are deliberately LYING to their followers because they are too PRIDEFUL to correct the ERRORS that they are teaching. I would like to believe that they simply do not REALIZE that they are teaching FALSE doctrine. So in closing Jesus is NOT Michael the archangel. And Jesus is NOT THE ALMIGHTY God who ALONE is THE FATHER. Yes, Jesus IS GOD, but Jesus is NOT THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the FATHER. Jesus was, is, and always will be UNDER and SUBJECT to HIS GOD and Father the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God. So the word “God” is a TITLE and Jesus was made to become “A” God under his God AFTER the cross. Please read the studies “WHEN DID JESUS BECOME GOD'S ETERNAL SON?”, “WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BORN AGAIN?”, “THE TRUE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST!”, and “WHAT IS THE ONE TRUE CHURCH?”, which may surprise those who have been wrongly taught that their church denomination is the one true church. Plain and simple the one true church is ALL true born-again believer from every church denomination. NO church denomination can save anyone, but rather. it is the faith of whosever BELIEVES the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ, according to the NEW Testament under the NEW Covenant established in the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of the living God, that saves us Thanks for reading and may God bless you richly as you continue to seek the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.
