SPELLING EDITED G-10. HOW YOU CAN HAVE PERFECT PEACE!
Jesus tells us in John 14:27 to LET NOT our hearts be TROUBLED and NEITHER LET our hearts be AFRAID! Jesus GAVE us HIS PEACE! So do not LET or allow his peace to be stolen from you.
Please read John 14:27.
“PEACE I leave with you, my PEACE I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. LET NOT your heart be troubled, neither LET it be AFRAID.”
Jesus says, “PEACE I LEAVE with YOU, MY peace I GIVE unto YOU:” In other words, the SAME peace that Jesus had he has LEFT with us and has GIVEN to us so that we would be empowered to NOT LET our heart be troubled, NOR LET our hearts be AFRAID! The word “LET” here shows us that we do NOT have to FEAR or be TROUBLED by the things around us. When we LET something happen it means that it could have been AVOIDED or that it was NOT necessary for it to happen. In other words, you ALLOWED yourself to fear or be troubled and worried. Almighty God desires for us to have PEACE, and not just peace like the world has, but rather, God desires us to have HIS PEACE which is PERFECT PEACE!
Isaiah 26:3,4 goes on to say.
“You (Referring to Almighty God) will keep him in PERFECT PEACE, whose MIND is stayed on you: because he TRUSTS in you. 4. TRUST you in the LORD (Referring to Almighty God the Father, whose name is Yahweh) for ever: for IN the YAH, (Or IN The Son of Almighty God whose English name is Jesus) YAHWEH is everlasting strength:”
So then, one of the ways that we LET NOT our hearts to be TROUBLED is to KEEP our MINDS STAYED upon Almighty God and TRUST in him, and then God will give us EVERLASTING STRENGTH and he will KEEP us in PERFECT PEACE! And we trust in Almighty God BY our trusting in His Son, Jesus as our Lord and Savior. So the very first step to obtaining peace in our minds and in our hearts is to accept Jesus as our Savior. If you are not a true born-again Christian or you are not absolutely sure that you are saved then please read the study “HOW CAN I BE SAVED?” online at AMatterOfTruth.com. Also, there are some verses of Scripture in this study that will teach you how to accept Jesu as your Savior. And for those of you who know that you are truly saved but you do not have peace concerning OTHER things in your life then keep reading. We all, at times. experience moment when the QUESTION. what IF I had done this or done something different then that undesirable thing would have NOT happened. In other words, there are times when we blame ourselves for things that happen may have happened anyway no matter what we would have done if we could go back and change what we did. The point is that it did happen and it is in the past. We cannot change the past but we can change the future, in that, we can learn to overcome that guilt that is tormenting our minds. So there are many different things that rob us from having peace in our minds and in our hearts. Fear, worry, and anxiety are among the top three things that torment the minds of people who have not yet learned how to overcome those things. We see over and over in the word of God telling us NOT to FEAR, or to be NOT AFRAID. God is WARNING us NOT to FEAR because FEAR has torment and in a like manner as faith. And fear will produce in our life the things that we greatly fear.
Please read Job 3:25 which says. “The thing which I greatly FEARED has come upon me, and that which I was AFRAID of has come unto me.”
The margin of my Bible says that the literal Hebrew of this verse reads,
“I feared a FEAR, and IT (Referring to the THING that Job FEARED, IT) came upon me.”
So then, HOW do we NOT be afraid? Since we know that FAITH comes by HEARING and we can clearly see that FEAR also comes by HEARING, then we must, therefore, control or bring under subjection WHAT we HEAR. In other words, we need to RENEW our MINDS with the WORD of God and LET God be TRUE and every man a LIAR.
The Bible says in Romans 12:2.
“And be NOT conformed to (Or fashioned according to, and following the practices of) the world: BUT be you transformed (HOW are we transformed?) BY the RENEWING of your MIND, (Why do we need to renew our minds to be transformed?) that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and PERFECT WILL of God.”
So then, the process of OBTAINING God's PERFECT PEACE begins with the RENEWING our MINDS to the WORD of Almighty God. We have already looked at a couple of Scriptures that ASSURE us that Almighty God desires for us to have PEACE and NOT to FEAR. Therefore, we can KNOW that it is God's PERFECT WILL for us to have PERFECT PEACE. Let God's WORD be TRUE and every man a LIAR, when the word of man opposes or contradicts what God's WORD teaches us. Have you ever heard or read the acronym for the word “FEAR”? Here is an acronym of the word “FEAR” that I once heard that has helped me perceive FEAR for what it truly is.
FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL
FEAR is nothing more than FALSE EVIDENCE that is only APPEARING to be real! Yes, the physical “symptoms” may be present in your body, but in a “spiritual sense,” all these symptoms are only LIES from the enemy seeking whom he may devour. For a deeper understanding of what I mean by this please read the studies entitled “WHAT DOES BEING SAVED TRULY MEAN ?” and “THE TRUE BIBLICAL MEANING OF GRACE”. Also, for a greater understanding of FEAR which is one of Satan's WEAPONS please read the study entitled “THE WEAPONS OF THE ENEMY!” But for now, let us focus upon the fear that begins with nothing more than a THOUGHT that exalts itself AGAINST the very WORD of Almighty God. When you begin to understand that FEAR is only a THOUGHT or more precisely an IMAGINATION in your MIND, then it will be an easy stronghold of the enemy for you to pull down.
Look at 2 Corinthians 10:4,5.
“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but MIGHTY through God, to the pulling down of strongholds;) 5. CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS, and every high THOUGHT that EXALTS itself against the knowledge of God, (and bringing into captivity EVERY THOUGHT to the OBEDIENCE of Christ).”
The word “strongholds” here literally means an ARGUMENT in your mind. The American Heritage Dictionary defines a stronghold as an area of predominance. One definition of predominate means to be of a GREATER quantity or influence. Perhaps a good way to illustrate this is to picture a balance scale with FAITH on one side and FEAR on the other side.
FEAR FAITH The side that has the greatest quantity of INFLUENCE will be the side that has or carries the most WEIGHT and will then tip the scale to the favor of that side. Therefore, if your FEAR influences you greater than your FAITH influences you, then that stronghold of FEAR will begin to produce DOUBT in what God has said, and then DOUBT will eventually become UNBELIEF. And then finally, the end result will ultimately be defeat, for you, and victory for the enemy. However, the reverse of this is equally true, so don’t LET the devil get an advantage over you by keeping you under the bondage of FEAR! If you feed your FAITH, then you will automatically starve your FEAR, because your MIND can only focus upon ONE thing at a time. Therefore, if you CONTINUE to renew your mind with the WORD of Almighty God, then soon the greater influence will become your FAITH, and the scale will tip in your favor. Your FAITH will produce PEACE and joy in your whole being and will give you STRENGTH to fight and resist the enemy unto the end and you gain victory over the enemy. NOTHING is impossible to him that BELIEVES. The word of God teaches us the basic principle of salvation or how to RECEIVE salvation in Romans 10:8-10, which is to BELIEVE the word of TRUTH in our HEART, and then CONFESS with our mouth the WORD of FAITH that we BELIEVE in our HEART unto SALVATION.
Romans 10:8-10.
“But what says it? The WORD is nigh you, even in your MOUTH, and in your HEART: that is, the WORD of FAITH, which we preach; 9. That if you shall CONFESS with your MOUTH the Lord Jesus, and shall BELIEVE in your HEART that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. (WHY?) 10. For (Or BECAUSE) with the HEART man BELIEVES unto righteousness, and with the mouth, CONFESSION is made UNTO SALVATION.”
In other words, after we learn from God's word that believing in God's Son Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven then we must make a quality decision to TRUST God's word by CONFESSING what is written in the word of God. the Holy Bible. For example, according to Romans 10:9 that we just read, you must first believe in your HEART that God raised the Son of man, Jesus from the dead, and gave him eternal life, and you shall be saved. The difference between believing in your heart from simply believing in your mind is that what we make the quality decision to believe in our heart will never change. But the things we believe in our heads or in our mind are possible to change which is not TRUE HEART faith. So after we believe with sincere heart faith we CONFESS what we believe deep in our heart that Jesus suffered and died on the cross for our sins. We believe that when we repent of all our past sins that God FORGIVES us of ALL our past sins and CLEANSES us from ALL unrighteousness. And at that moment in time, God creates in you a new heart that desires to please Him and His Son, Jesus. And that is when verse 10 begins, CONFESSION is made UNTO salvation. In other words, now begins your WALK with God to receive eternal life in the world to come. But salvation ALSO means things like receiving PEACE in your mind. So CONFESSION also is made UNTO the salvation of you being saved from the TORMENT, worry, fear, and anxiety in your mind. So keep reading the Scriptures showing the examples of CONFESSION of faith. Numbers 6:22-27.
“And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, 23. Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise (Or in this manner) you shall BLESS the children of Israel, SAYING unto them, 24. The LORD bless you, and keep you: 25. The LORD make his face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you: 26. The LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you PEACE. 27. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”
This teaches us to SPEAK blessings upon others to make positive confessions of faith and blessing upon others and upon ourselves.
Esther 10:3.
“For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and SPEAKING PEACE to all his seed.”
Luke 10:5,6.
“And into whatsoever house you enter, first SAY, PEACE be to this house. 6. And if the Son of PEACE is there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it (Your peace) shall turn to you again.”
Romans 1:7.
“To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: GRACE to you and PEACE from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 15:13.
“Now the God of hope FILL you with all JOY and PEACE in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
Psalm 4:1-8.
“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: you have enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me and hear my prayer. 2. O you sons of men, how long will you turn my glory into shame? How long will you love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. 3. But know that the LORD has set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. 4. Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. 5. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. 6. There be many that say, Who will show us any good? LORD, lift you up the light of your countenance upon us. 7. You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. 8. I will both lay me down in PEACE, and sleep: for you, LORD, only make me dwell in safety.”
In other words, CONFESS that you will lay down and have a PEACEFUL night's sleep.
Psalm 29:1-11.
“Give unto the LORD, O you mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. 2. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 3. The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thunders: the LORD is upon many waters. 4. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. 5. The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; yea, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon. 6. He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. 7. The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. 8. The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. 9. The voice of the LORD makes the hinds to calve and discovers the forests: and in his temple does every one speak of his glory. 10. The LORD sits upon the flood; yea, the LORD sits King forever. 11. The LORD will give STRENGTH unto his people; the LORD will BLESS his people with PEACE.”
Proverbs 3:1,2.
“My son, forget not my law; but let your heart keep my commandments: 2. For the length of days, and long life, and PEACE, shall they add to you.”
John 14:27.
“PEACE I leave with you, my PEACE I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. LET NOT your heart be troubled, neither LET it be AFRAID.”
NO Jesus, NO peace; KNOW Jesus, KNOW peace!
John 16:33.
“These things I have spoken unto you, that IN me you might have PEACE. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of GOOD CHEER; I have overcome the world.”
Galatians 5:22,23.
“But the FRUIT of the Spirit is love, joy, PEACE, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is NO law.”
In other words, you can have as much love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance as you like, because there is no law against these things, so ENJOY!
Philippians 4:4-9.
“REJOICE in the Lord always: and again I say, REJOICE. 5. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6. Be careful about nothing; (Or do not be worried and anxious about anything) but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving (Or REJOICING with a heart of gratitude) let your requests be made known unto God. 7. And the PEACE of God, which passes all understanding, shall KEEP your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9. Those things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, DO: and the God of PEACE shall be with you.”
2 Timothy 1:7.
“For God has NOT given us the spirit of FEAR, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
1 John 4:7-21.
“Beloved, let us LOVE one another: for LOVE is of God, and everyone that LOVES is born of God, and knows God. 8. He that loves NOT knows NOT God; for God is LOVE. 9. In this was manifested the LOVE of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10. Herein is LOVE, not that we LOVED God, but that he: LOVED us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11. Beloved, if God so LOVED us, we ought also to LOVE one another. 12. No man has seen God at any time. If we LOVE one another, God dwells in us, and his LOVE is PERFECTED in us. 13. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 15. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God. 16. And we have known and believed the LOVE that God has toward us. God is LOVE, and he that dwells in LOVE dwells in God, and God in him. 17. Herein is OUR LOVE made PERFECT, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18. There is NO FEAR in LOVE; but PERFECT LOVE casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that FEARS is NOT made perfect in love. 19. We LOVE him because he first LOVED us. 20. If a man says, I LOVE God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that LOVES not his brother whom he has seen, how can he LOVE God whom he has not seen? 21. And this COMMANDMENT we have from him, That he who LOVES God LOVE his brother also.”
1 Chronicles 16:8-11.
“Give THANKS unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. 9. SING unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk you of all his wondrous works. 10. Glory you in his holy name: let the HEART of them REJOICE that seek the LORD. 11. Seek the LORD and HIS STRENGTH, seek his face continually.”
Psalm 18:1-3.
“I will LOVE you, O LORD, my STRENGTH. 2. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my STRENGTH, in whom I will TRUST; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. 3. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.”
Psalm 46:1.
“God is our refuge and STRENGTH, a very PRESENT help in trouble.”
Psalm 73:26.
“My flesh and my HEART fails: BUT God is the STRENGTH of my heart and my portion forever.”
Isaiah 40:28-31.
“Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints NOT, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding. 29. He GIVES power to the faint, and to them that have NO might he increases STRENGTH. 30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31. BUT they that WAIT upon the LORD shall renew their STRENGTH; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Ephesians 6:10-17.
“Finally, my brethren, be STRONG in the Lord, and in the power of HIS MIGHT. 11. Put on the whole armor of God, (WHY?) that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14. Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15. And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:”
Nehemiah 8:10 tells us that the JOY of the Lord is our STRENGTH. Therefore, let us REJOICE in the Lord ALWAYS, AGAIN I say REJOICE. Now I know that NO trial is pleasant while we are in the trial, but the WORD of Almighty God teaches us to COUNT it ALL JOY because there is POWER in PRAISE and REJOICING in the Lord.
Please read James 1:2-4.
“My brethren, COUNT it all JOY when you fall into divers temptations; 3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. 4. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
You may not FEEL like praising God or REJOICING because our OWN natural understanding teaches us that there can be NO JOY in the midst of a trying situation. However, Proverbs teaches us that we are NOT to lean to our OWN understanding, but rather to TRUST in the Lord. And the WORD of the Lord teaches us that a man has JOY by the ANSWER of his MOUTH. Therefore, SAY, I WILL REJOICE, and then by FAITH begin to REJOICE! BELIEVE what you SAY and you shall HAVE IT.
These are the words of Jesus in Mark 11:13-24 which says.
“And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. 14. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat the fruit of you hereafter forever. And his disciples heard it. (Please notice that when Jesus PRAYED he simply SPOKE to the TREE the thing that he DESIRED) 15. And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves; 16. And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. 17. And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? But you have made it a den of thieves. 18. And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him because all the people was astonished at his doctrine. 19. And when even was come, he went out of the city. 20. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21. And Peter calling to remembrance said unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which you cursed is withered away. 22. And Jesus answering said unto them, Have FAITH in God. 23. For verily (Or TRULY) I say unto you, That WHOSOEVER shall SAY (Or SPEAK words of FAITH) unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall NOT DOUBT in his heart, but shall BELIEVE that those things which he SAYS shall come to pass; he shall HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAYS. 24. Therefore, I say unto you, What things soever you DESIRE when you PRAY, BELIEVE that you RECEIVE THEM, and YOU SHALL HAVE THEM.”
Jesus does not say MAYBE you might have them, but rather Jesus POSITIVELY AFFIRMS that WITHOUT A DOUBT you SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER you have DESIRED when you PRAY by SPEAKING to the MOUNTAIN that is in your way. So then, SPEAK to the mountains or problems in your life in the mighty name of Jesus KNOWING in your HEART that they shall be moved out of your life. Please read the studies on the power and authority of the believer and the name of Jesus for a deeper understanding of how to overcome things like depression, fear, and worry. Speak PEACE into your life. Meditate on the word of God day and night. Renew your mind to God's LIVING word. Almighty God is always faithful to do what he said he would do in his word. Only BELIEVE. All things are POSSIBLE to those who BELIEVE. May God bless you richly as you continue to see the truth of the whole word of Almighty God. Your brother in our Lord Jesus Christ. Brother Mark.
