1 Timothy 3:16 GOD was MANIFEST in the FLESH

GOD was MANIFEST

in the

FLESH

What is the sound Biblical meaning of the statement: God was MANIFEST in the FLESH?

Now the mainstream church denominations will tell us that it means that Almighty God himself BECAME flesh and dwelt among men as the man named Jesus but yet remained the fully Almighty God and thus Jesus had TWO natures, one divine, and one human during the days of his flesh. In other words, according to many of the mainstream denominational churches, it means that Jesus IS Almighty God HIMSELF in the flesh being fully God and fully a man at the same time. Both of the mainstream doctrines of the Trinity AND the doctrine of Oneness DOGMATICALLY teach and DEMAND that this statement found in 1 Timothy 3:16, which says, God was MANIFEST in the FLESH, means without fail that Jesus IS THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God himself in the flesh being fuly God and fully a man at the same time having two natures, one divine, and one human..

1 Timothy 3:16.

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was MANIFEST in the FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

When both Trinitarian Christians and Oneness Christians say that Jesus IS GOD, then THEY are saying that Jesus IS THE Almighty God HIMSELF. But to ME, to say that Jesus IS THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God is to say that Jesus IS the FATHER. However, both the Bible and the DOCTRINE of the Trinity clearly and plainly teaches that Jesus is NOT the FATHER and that Almighty God the FATHER is NOT the SON Jesus. Now the Bible ITSELF clearly teaches us that to us as Christians there is but one God who is clearly identified as being the FATHER. In other words, Almighty God is NOT Jesus because the Father is NOT the SON.

So then to ME, whenever Jesus is said to be GOD by non-Unitarian Christians, then what I myself am hearing from both the Trinitarian Christians AND the Oneness Christians is that Jesus IS the FATHER? Well to ME, when I hear those that teach the doctrine of the TRINITY dogmatically demand that Jesus IS GOD, which in THEIR mind they are saying that Jesus is the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY which again to ME, would be the SAME as saying that Jesus IS the FATHER

But according to what I myself see in the Bible itself, Jesus is NOT the FATHER. And I also know that the DOCTRINE of the Trinity plainly and clearly states that Jesus is NOT the FATHER and that God the Father is NOT the SON Jesus. Can you not see my dear Trinitarian brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, that you are contradicting your own doctrine of the Trinity every time you try and make Jesus be Yahweh himself? There can only be ONE Father OF Jesus whom Jesus himself clearly identified as the ONLY TRUE God in John 17:3 when he was praying TO his God and Father.

John 17:3.

"And this is life eternal, that they might know YOU the ONLY TRUE God, AND Jesus Christ, whom YOU have SENT."

In other words, Jesus is saying that the only way we can have eternal life is to believe in BOTH the Father AND his Son. In this prayer TO his Father, Jesus is praying that we know or understand the FATHER as the ONLY TRUE and AND that we also know that Jesus was sent or commissioned by the one true God. The word translated as "sent" here means COMMISSION and the word commission means to give power and authority to someone to accomplish the task they are given to do.

Now to me, the Bible is clearly speaking of TWO separated distinct different individuals beings who are the Father AND his Son Jesus. The Father is the one who did the sending or commissioning and the Son of man Jesus is the one who was empowered by the eternal Spirit to accomplish the task that his God and Father asked him to accomplish.

Please read Hebrews 9:14.

"How much more shall the blood of Christ, who THROUGH the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?"

Jesus overcame the Devil to live his life without sin THROUGH the power of the eternal Spirit who DWELT IN him. And in John 17 Jesus is praying TO the Father saying that he accomplished all that the Father gave him to do and now it was time to be GLORIFIED by the Father with the glory promised to the Messiah in the Scriptures.

So then, to me, this verse in John 17:3 is also clearly teaching us that Jesus himself is calling the Father the ONLY TRUE God. Thus, the CONTRADICTION that I have in my OWN mind concerning this DOCTRINE of the Trinity? It just does NOT compute with ME in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of God that Jesus is the FATHER. So while I agree that the doctrine of the Trinity has it correct when they teach that Jesus is NOT the Father they do error when they dogmatically demand that Jesus was fully the one true and only Almighty God in the flesh and fully a human being at the same time having TWO natures, one divine, and one human during the days of his flesh.

Where in the BIBLE is there any verse that states the Jesus had TWO nature at the SAME time, one divine, and one human? The "argument" made by both Trinitarians and Oneness believers is that Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead and calmed the seas and ONLY God himself can do these things.

But Jesus himself said that the Son could do NOTHING OF HIMSELF and that is was the Father who DWELT IN him who was the one doing these works men saw Jesus doing. I am getting ahead of myself so I will cover the verses that teach us that God DWELT IN the Son of man Jesus further on in this study, but for now let me get back to the Oneness doctrine.

Now to ONENESS believers, Jesus IS one and the self-same being as the Father so the THEM it is not a contradiction to their OWN doctrine of Oneness to dogmatically demand that Jesus is fully the one true and ONLY ALMIGHTY God in the flesh having two natures at the same time, one divine, and one human.

But to me, BOTH the doctrine of the Trinity and the doctrine of Oneness contradict the Bible itself by dogmatically demanding that Jesus was fully the one true and only ALMIGHTY God in the flesh having two natures at the same time because the Bible teaches us that God is NOT a MAN and neither is God the Son of MAN.

Please read Numbers 23:18.

"God is NOT a MAN, that he should lie; neither the son of MAN, that he should repent: has he said, and shall he not do it? or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

Seeing that God is NOT  MAN then 1 Timoty 3:16 could not possibly mean that God manifested himself to become a MAN and remain the fully Almighty God because that would make God be a MAN and that INTERPRETATION of God becoming a MAN contradicts Numbers 23:18 which clearly states that God is NOT a MAN and being is God the Son of MAN. And Jesus himself called himself the Son of MAN nearly as twice as much as other referred to him as the Son of God. Please see the study "JESUS THE SON OF MAN!" for all the verses.

So then, what is the sound BIBLICAL meaning of 1 Timothy 3:16 that says God was MANIFEST in the FLESH?

Well to me, the phrase God MANIFEST in the FLESH that we read in 1 Timothy 3:16 is NOT teaching us that God became or turned himself into a man but rather that God was clearly REVEALED to us BY the Son of MAN Jesus the Christ who was the spoken word of God coming out from the mouth of God to become flesh. Let us read this verse again and take a closer look but first let us read the DEFINITION of the word "MANIFEST" from the American Heritage Dictionary.

As an adjective of the word manifest means:

Clearly apparent to the sight or understanding; obvious. See Synonyms at apparent.

As a verb the word manifest means:

1. To show or demonstrate plainly; reveal: "[Her] soft appearance belied her ... steadfastness. She manifested no fear and allowed none in her voice" (Philip Roth).
2.
a. To record in a ship's manifest.
b. To display or present a manifest of (cargo).
v.intr.
To become manifest; be revealed: Depression can manifest as irritability.
n.
1. A list of cargo or passengers carried on a ship or plane.
2. An invoice of goods carried on a truck or train.
3. A list of railroad cars according to owner and location.

Jesus came to SHOW us the Father. But Jesus is NOT the Father. Jesus is the express IMAGE OF the Father. Jesus REVEALED to us WHO the one true and only Almighty God is. Jesus DEMONSTRATED the true nature and character OF the ONLY TRUE God whom he clearly identified as the Father in John 17:3 but Jesus was not one and the self-same being as the Father. Rather Jesus came to SHOW us the Father as the one true God. Jesus came to manifest a clear UNDERSTANDING of WHO the invisible God is. The IMAGE OF the true God is not the true God. The IMAGE OF the father is NOT the FATHER.

Now let us read 1 Timothy 3:16 again and take a closer look.

"And without controversy great is the mystery of GODLINESS: God was MANIFEST in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

The subject of this verse is the mystery of GODLINESS and NOT the mystery of God. God was clearly DEMONSTRATED to us through the Son of MAN Jesus the Christ. It was the Son of MAN who was JUSTIFIED in the Spirit. The sacrifice of the Son of MAN being lifted up on the cross was see by the angels. The gospel of Jesus Christ was preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world by many and the Son of Man was GLORIFIED, highly exalted, and received up to sit at the right hand OF the Father on the Father's throne. Jesus will come again to rule FOR Yahweh the Father in the world to come for a 1000 years while Yahewh RESTS during the Millennium. The Father and his Son Jesus are TWO separate distinct different beings who are one in AGREEMENT and they are one in purpose but they are not one and the self-same being as the Oneness doctrine falsely teaches. Again the SUBJECT of 1 Timothy 3:16 is about the mystery of GODLINESS and NOT about some so-called mystery of God becoming a human being while remaining the fully divine Almighty God having two natures at the same time, one divine and one human.

To me, the sound Biblical meaning of this verse is that God was manifestly DECLARED and revealed to mankind through the works done by the ANOINTED Son of man. It does not make sense to say that God was JUSTIFIED in the Spirit and that is what one would be saying if so be this verse is INTERPRETED to mean that God himself became flesh but yet remained the fully divine Almighty God having two natures at the same time. You see if so be that the word MANIFEST means to BECOME then this verse would also be saying that God was JUSTIFIED in the Spirit. Really? An already PERFECT God needing to be JUSTIFIED in the Spirit? It was the Son of MAN Jesus who was made PERFECT. Almighty God the Father God HIMSELF did not need to be made perfect in the Spirit.

Some may argue that Jesus was perfect because he did not sin but that is not what the Bible itself means. Jesus was made perfect by the Father when Almighty God the Father glorified and highly exalted the Son of Man Jesus AFTER the cross.

Please read Hebrews 5:7-9.

"Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

8.  Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

9.  And being MADE PERFECT, he BECAME the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;"

Philippians 2:8-11 teaches us that is was AFTER the cross that Almighty God the Father HIGHLY EXALTED the Son of man and John 5:26,27 teaches us that the Father GAVE the Son eternal life to be having in himself even as the Father has life in himself. And 1 Timothy 6:13-16 teaches us that the INVISIBLE God was the ONLY one who has always had immortality in himself. So clearly the Bible itself teaches us that Jesus was NOT the divine eternal Almighty God during the days of his FLESH. Nowhere in the Bible are we commanded that we must believe that Jesus IS the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God in order to receive eternal life in the world to come. But the Bible does teach us that we must believe that Jesus is the SON OF God and that if we do not have the SON then we do not have the Father either. We must believe in BOTH the Father and in the SON. We are taught to honor the Son even as we honor the Father. So CLEARLY the Bible itself teaches us that Jesus is NOT the Father by teaching us that Jesus is the SON OF God and that the Father is the God OF his Son Jesus. Please see the study "IS JESUS ALMIGHTY GOD?" for all the verse showing that Jesus is a distinctly different person FROM the Father and that Almighty God is the God and Father OF Jesus.

Also, the difficulty of why some Christians have trouble seeing that while Jesus is called God in Hebrews 1:8 but that Jesus is NOT the one true and only ALMIGHTY God who alone is the Father is the word "God". They have failed to see that the word "Elohim" translated as God means mighty one. They have failed to see that the Greek word "Theos" translated as God is also translated as "god" with a lower case "g". They have failed to see that Satan is the Theos or god of this present world. They fail to understand that the Bible itself teaches us that the ONLY TRUE God is THE GOD OF all other Gods. They fail to see the truth of God's word that the God Jesus has the one true and only Almighty God OVER him. So while there can be many Gods there can only be ONE God who is the one true and only ALMIGHTY God who is the SOURCE of all things.

Jesus said that he came OUT FROM God. So the SOURCE of all things cannot come OUT FROM the SOURCE. Before we get into these verses let me recap why I believe that BOTH the doctrine of the Trinity AND the doctrine of Oneness have erred in their INTERPRETATION of the Scriptures.

So again WHY to a BELIEVE and teach what I do?

Well, let me begin to explain why I myself see these man-made doctrines of both the doctrine of the Trinity and the Oneness doctrine as being FALSE teachings by using a method used by those who teach the doctrine of the Trinity and the doctrine of Oneness to support their theology. They begin by REASONING and saying if A=B, and B=C, then A=C, and therefore C=A, which is MATHEMATICALLY correct. But then they try to apply this "mathematical formula" to the word of God and say since John 1:1 tells us that the Word IS God and then John 1:14 teaches us that the word was made flesh, which we all know is referring to Jesus, therefore the Word IS Jesus. Then after making this connection they dogmatically demand that God IS Jesus and or rather that Jesus IS God.          In other words:

      Word=God, and Word=Jesus, then God=Jesus, and Jesus=God.

Therefore Jesus IS GOD and God IS Jesus, that is to say, ACCORDING to this line of REASONING Jesus is God BUT NOT according to the WHOLE word of Almighty God. Yes, Jesus is God who has THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the Father OVER him. The one true God can NOT have another God over himself and the Bible clearly teaches us that Jesus is subject to his God and Father.

Now, this may all sound logical to those who teach the doctrine of the Trinity and to those who teach the doctrine of Oneness and therefore MUST be the TRUTH to THEM, because it is TRUE in mathematics. But can a MATHEMATICAL formula be applied to the word of God and ALWAYS still produce a CORRECT answer?

You see, when I look at this line of reasoning and the dogmatic statement that Jesus IS GOD, then I see that those who teach these doctrines are saying in fact that Jesus IS THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God, because the doctrine of the Trinity states that Jesus and Almighty God the Father are EQUAL in every way, where neither is greater than nor less than the other, and the doctrine of Oneness simply teaches that Jesus IS Almighty God the Father completely ignoring all the verses that clearly teach us that Jesus and Almighty God the Father are two distinct individuals.

My point is this, whenever those that teach the doctrine of the Trinity say that Jesus IS GOD all that THEY hear in THEIR OWN mind is that Jesus IS ALMIGHTY God, because to THEM they reason HOW can Jesus be said to be God with a CAPITAL "G" be anything other than the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God.

BUT then, when I myself read the scriptures, I MYSELF, only see ALMIGHTY God as being the FATHER. Therefore to ME, when I hear those that teach the doctrine of the Trinity dogmatically say that Jesus IS GOD, then all I hear is that Jesus IS ALMIGHTY God the FATHER. In others words, when those that teach the doctrine of the Trinity make the CLAIM and dogmatically demand that Jesus IS GOD, then what I myself am hearing THEM say is that Jesus IS the FATHER. But yet the doctrine of the Trinity plainly states that Jesus is NOT the FATHER. So I have to wonder why they do not see that they are calling Jesus the Father every time they dogmatically demand that Jesus is Yahweh himself.

So then, HOW can those who teach the DOCTRINE of the trinity HONESTLY say that the word of God plainly teaches that Jesus IS God, without making Jesus be ALMIGHTY God, who to ME, is without question the FATHER? So then, my question to those that believe and teach this doctrine of the Trinity is "HOW can YOU, speaking to those of you who believe and teach the DOCTRINE of the Trinity, HONESTLY teach that Jesus is NOT the FATHER, when to ME, you just got through demanding that Jesus IS GOD and therefore mean by this that Jesus IS the ALMIGHTY God HIMSELF and not another God who is under and subject to his God and Father.

Well then, IS Jesus God? Absolutely the Bible itself calls Jesus God in Hebrews 1:8 but in verse 9 we clearly see that the Father is the God of or over Jesus. So then if you say, teach, and demand that Jesus IS God, then you saying, teaching, and demanding that Jesus IS the ALMIGHTY God HIMSELF and therefore Jesus is the FATHER whether you realize it or not.

Define what you mean. To me and many other Christians, when you are saying that Jesus IS God, 100% God and 100% man at the SAME time having two natures. Are you saying that Jesus is 100% ALMIGHTY God? Or are you saying that Jesus is "a god", who is under and subject to the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the FATHER? What do you mean when you dogmatically teach that Jesus IS GOD?

There is no doubt to me that the Bible itself teaches us that there are two Gods and that the one true God is the God OF Gods. Please read the study "ARE THERE TWO GODS?" for all the verse that prove without a doubt that the Father is the god OF his Son Jesus.

Now if you say that Jesus IS 100% God, as in, Jesus IS 100% ALMIGHTY God, then to ME, you are saying that Jesus IS 100% the FATHER, because to ME, the word of TRUTH clearly teaches us that ONLY Almighty God IS the FATHER. Therefore, to ME, the DOCTRINE of the Trinity is a FALSE teaching and should be rejected. This does NOT mean that the doctrine of Oneness is true just because the doctrine of the Trinity is in error on many points. The doctrine of Oneness is in error as well by dogmatically demanding that Jesus is The Father and that the Father manifest himself to become the Son and remain the fully divine Almighty God have two natures at the same time, one divine and one human.

Please CONSIDER the word of TRUTH, which to ME, clearly and plainly teaches us that the ONE TRUE God is ALMIGHTY and that Almighty God IS the FATHER. Let us begin this study in God's word by reading Ephesians 4:3-6 which teaches us that Jews and Gentiles alike have but ONE Father who is the Father of us all.

Ephesians 4:3-6.

"Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4. There is one body,(even though some of you my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ may not agree with what I believe the word of TRUTH teaches) and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling;

5. One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6. ONE God and FATHER of all, who is ABOVE ALL, and through all, and IN you ALL."

So then, according to this verse of scripture, there is but ONE GOD, who IS the FATHER of all and this ONE God, who IS the FATHER is ABOVE ALL, which to ME, means that the ONE God, who IS the FATHER is THE ALMIGHTY or THE HIGHEST God over ALL. In other words, this ONE God IS Almighty God the FATHER who is over and above all having no one above or over himself. And since the Bible itself clearly teaches us that Jesus has a God over him then that means that Jesus can NOT be THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God who alone is the Father. Now please read Malachi 2:10, which again teaches us that we have but ONE God and ONE Father.

Malichi 2:10.

"Have we not all ONE FATHER? Has not ONE God CREATED us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?"

In this verse, we learn that this ONE God, who IS the FATHER is the one who CREATED us. In other words, the one and only true God is the SOURCE of all his creation. Then in 1 Corinthians 8:4-6 we read where the ONE God, who we now know IS the FATHER, is the ONLY TRUE God because we are plainly told that the is NONE OTHER God but ONE. Then further down we see also that there is ONE Lord who is Jesus the Christ. But we also know that the Bible teaches us in Acts 2:36 that Almighty God the Father MADE the Son of man Jesus to be both Lord and Christ.

1 Corinthians 8:4-6

"As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, WE KNOW that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is NONE OTHER God but ONE.

5. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

6. But to US there is but ONE God, THE FATHER, of whom are all things, and we in him; AND one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him."

Now those who teach the ONENESS doctrine just come right out and plainly say that Jesus IS the FATHER. But to ME, I clearly see a DISTINCTION between Almighty God, the FATHER and his SON Jesus the CHRIST. For example, here in verse 6 we see the conjunction AND, which to ME, is CLEARLY showing us that the ONE God THE FATHER is DEFINITELY NOT the ONE Lord, who IS Jesus the CHRIST. Again, we must use the WHOLE word of God to interpret Scripture. So whatever we conclude a verse to mean then that meaning we have concluded must AGREE with the REST of God's word. So yeas I realize that the conjunction "and" can mean that the Father is both God and Lord but that INTERPRETATION contradicts Acts 2:36 where we clearly see that it was Almighty God the Father who MADE the Son of MAN Jesus to be both Lord and Christ.

Acts 2:36.

"Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has MADE that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ."

God MADE the Son of man Jesus to be the CHRIST at the BAPTISM of Jesus when God ANOINTED the Son of MAN with the Holy Spirit to come down and DWELL IN the Son of man. And then after the cross, God MADE the Son of man be his Lord of lords.

So to Me, BOTH the doctrine of the Trinity AND the doctrine of oneness are FALSE doctrines. But let us continue in this study of God word and let the word of TRUTH teach us whether or not Jesus IS GOD, which again to ME, would make Jesus be ALMIGHTY God, which would then consequently make Jesus be the FATHER. Please read Romans 15:5-7 which teaches us that Almighty God IS the FATHER OF our ONE Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 15:5-7.

"Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

6. That you may with ONE mind and ONE mouth GLORIFY GOD, EVEN the Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ.

7. Wherefore RECEIVE you one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God."

Now be assured that I RECEIVE my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, who believe and teach the doctrine of the Trinity as being true Christians. And I RECEIVE my dear brothers and sister in our Lord Jesus Christ, who teach the doctrine of oneness as being true Christians. But sometimes I have my DOUBTS that THEY receive me as their brother in our Lord Jesus Christ, simply because I will not accept these MAN made doctrines, which to ME, clearly contradict the WHOLE word of Almighty God the Father.

All I am asking is that you HEAR me out and at least CONSIDER what I have to say. Proverbs 18:12,13 teaches us that a man who ANSWERS a matter BEFORE he HEARS it that it is folly and a shame to him.

Proverbs 18:12,13.

"Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honor is humility.

13. He that ANSWERS a matter BEFORE he HEARS it, it is folly and shame unto him."

Please bear with me a little longer and I will show you PLAINLY from the scriptures that the ALMIGHTY God is NOT Jesus, who to ME, is CLEARLY the SON OF Almighty God who the Bible always identifies as being the Father.

And I will plainly show you from the scriptures that Almighty God the Father and Jesus his SON are TWO DISTINCT PERSONS and NOT just two different "MANIFESTATIONS" of the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God who alone is the FATHER.

Let's begin by reading Revelation 1:4-8, where the apostle John is introducing to us, so to speak, Almighty God the Father AND his Son our Lord Jesus Christ.

"John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, FROM HIM which is, and which was, and which is to come; AND from the seven Spirits which are before HIS throne (speaking of HIM which is, and which was, and which is to come);

5. AND FROM Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood (speaking of Jesus the Son of God),

6. And (he, Jesus) has made us kings and priests UNTO God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

7. Behold, he (Jesus) comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindred of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. (the word "amen" ends this thought of John speaking and verse 8 begins with  another voice speaking.)

8. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, THE ALMIGHTY."

Now some read this verse 8 here and make the CLAIM that this verse is speaking of JESUS as being THE ALMIGHTY, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end which is, and which was, and which is to come. And I admit that WITHOUT reading the ENTIRE CONTEXT this verse when viewed ALONE and apart from the WHOLE word of God does SEEM to be Jesus speaking and even in some Bibles the text in verse 8 is in red letters which makes it even more confusing. Other Bibles have corrected this error of putting verse 8 in red letters. So even though verse 8 SEEMS to be Jesus speaking just bear with me for a little longer and you will CLEARLY see that verse 8 is Almighty God the FATHER who is speaking and NOT Jesus his SON as some FALSELY teach.

Again, when we CONSIDER the CONTEXT we clearly see that John plainly distinguishes between the greetings that are FROM HIM which is, and which was, and which is to come as being a JOINT greeting by using the conjunction AND from JESUS CHRIST, who then is IDENTIFIED as being the faithful WITNESS, the first begotten from the dead, and the PRINCE of the kings of the earth.

Well, you may not see what I am saying as yet, but if you keep reading in the book of Revelation it will become CLEAR to you that the ONE who SITS upon the THRONE is ALMIGHTY God the Father OF Jesus Christ our Lord. Please read Revelation 4:1-11, which teaches us again that the ONE who SITS upon the THRONE, the HIM which is, and which was, and which is to come IS THE ALMIGHTY God, who we KNOW is the FATHER OF Jesus our Lord.

Revelation 4:1-11.

"After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven (now please keep in mind that what we are being shown here is IN Heaven AFTER Jesus has ALREADY been slain on the cross and is now ascended to Heaven to be WITH his Father to sit one his Father's throne at his right side): and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show you things which must be hereafter.

2. And immediately I (John) was in the spirit: and, behold, a THRONE was set IN heaven, and ONE SAT on the THRONE.

3. And HE that SAT was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

4. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

5. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thundering and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6. And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

7. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

8. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. (which is the very SAME choice of words used in the greeting FROM HIM, which is, and which was, and which is to come...AND from Jesus Christ...that we just read in Revelation 1:4-8 where we are told that the HIM who is the one speaking in verse 8 is clearly identifying that he is THE ALMIGHTY. Again God is the God OF Gods but there can only be ONE God who is the ALMIGHTY God over all other Gods.)

9. And when those beasts give glory and honor and thanks to HIM that SAT on the throne, who lives for ever and ever,

10. The four and twenty elders fall down before HIM that SAT on the THRONE, and worship HIM that lives for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11. You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for YOU (speaking of the ONE who SAT upon the THRONE, YOU) have CREATED all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created."

Here in verse 8, we clearly and plainly see that it is the ONE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY that SITS upon the THRONE in heaven. And in verse 11 we see that the Almighty alone is the CREATOR of all things. And as we have already learned there is no doubt the Almighty God IS the FATHER OF our Lord Jesus Christ. Likewise, we have clearly seen that John plainly distinguishes HIM that sits on the THRONE FROM his Son Jesus by placing the conjunction AND between the two when he gave greetings to the seven churches in Asia.

But even with all this, there are some who may still not be convinced that Jesus is NOT the ALMIGHTY God who SITS upon the THRONE.

If you are still not convinced please read Revelation 5:1-8, which will prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that there are TWO distinct individuals IN heaven and NOT just the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God who SITS on the THRONE, who some teach has merely MANIFESTED HIMSELF to a DIFFERENT MANIFESTATION on the earth as Jesus. In other words, KEEP reading and you will CLEARLY see that the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God who sits upon the THRONE is NOT Jesus the Christ, who was the LAMB that was slain from before the foundation of the world.

Revelation 5:1-8.

"And I saw in the right hand of HIM that SAT on the THRONE a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

2. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, WHO is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

3. And no MAN in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

4. And I wept much, because no MAN was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

5. And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, (speaking of the Son of MAN Jesus who was of the seed of David and of the tribe of Judah) has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

6. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a LAMB as it had been slain, having even horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

7. And HE (speaking of Jesus, the Son of MAN, the CHRIST, the LAMB of God, who was slain from before the foundation of the world) came and took the book out of the right hand of HIM (speaking of the ONE TRUE and ONLY LORD GOD ALMIGHTY) that SAT upon the THRONE."

Now to ME, when I read the CLEAR plain an SIMPLE word of Almighty God, then I simply cannot accept these FALSE teachings of man that make the CLAIM and dogmatically demand that we believe that Jesus IS GOD, as in, that Jesus is THE ALMIGHTY God having two natures at the same time, nor can I accept the FALSE teaching that Jesus IS the FATHER. I myself clearly see TWO who are in heaven. I see Almighty God who alone is the Father and I see the Son of MAN Jesus who came over TO the Father and took the book out of the Father's hand.

Please read Acts 5:30,31.

"The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you slew and hanged on a tree.

31.  Him has God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins."

Also please read the study "TITUS 2:3-WHO IS THE SAVIOR GOD OR JESUS?" for all the verses showing that God chose to use the shed blood of a MAN to redeem mankind back to himself.

And I can also accept and BELIEVE that Jesus is the Son of MAN, whom Almighty God HIGHLY EXALTED to be "A" god, with a LOWER case "g", meaning that Jesus is and always will be SUBJECT unto HIS GOD and FATHER, the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY and WISE God who is ABOVE ALL including being above and over his SON Jesus, whom he HIMSELF has HIGHLY EXALTED to sit upon his own right hand and rule and reign over the children of men for 1000 years in the world yet to come. For a deeper understanding on what I believe and WHY I believe it as the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God please read the study "OUR GOD IS ONE" which will direct you to all the studies that I have concerning WHO is Jesus. But for now let us get back to the question at hand, which is "What does the word of God mean when it says, God was MANIFEST in the FLESH?"

Again the word that is TRANSLATED as "MANIFEST" or "MANIFESTED" is the Greek word "PHANEROO", Strong's number (5319), and means:

To REVEAL, to MAKE KNOWN, to SHOW, to APPEAR, to DISCLOSE, to be DISCLOSED, to be DISPLAYED, to be REVEALED.

And it is translated as MADE MANIFEST, MANIFEST, MANIFESTED, MAKE MANIFEST, MANIFESTED FORTH, MANIFESTLY DECLARED, SHOWED, SHOW, and APPEAR.

Now to ME, if the translators were to have used the translation of MANIFESTLY DECLARED in 1 Timothy 3:16, then this verse would have never been used to try and prove that Jesus IS GOD. So then, let us read this verse with this translation of the Greek word "PHANEROO" being manifestly DECLARED rather than just the word manifest and keep in mind that this Greek word that is found in the original text means both manifest and manifestly DECLARED.

Here is 1 Timothy 3:16 with another meaning of this SAME Greek word that is TRANSLATED as manifest in the King James Version of the Bible, but here we will use the definition manifestly DECLARED instead.

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifestly DECLARED in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Now this definition of manifestly DECLARED clearly harmonizes with what Jesus taught us when he said I SHOW you the Father. Let us read those passages of scripture to refresh your memory and to see exactly what they are truly saying. Please read John 14:5-11, which to ME, is teaching us that when we see the WORKS that Jesus did, we are in all actuality seeing the true nature and working of the INVISIBLE God, Almighty God the Father.

John 14:4-11.

"Thomas said unto him, Lord, we know not whither you go; and how can we know the way?

6. Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.

7. If you had KNOWN me, you should have KNOWN my Father ALSO: and from henceforth you know him, and have seen him.

8. Philip said unto him, Lord, SHOW us the Father, and it suffices us.

9. Jesus said unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not KNOWN me, Philip? He that has SEEN me (or has KNOWN and UNDERSTOOD me) has SEEN (or has KNOWN and UNDERSTOOD the true nature of) the Father; and how say you then, SHOW us the Father?

10. Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that DWELLS IN me, HE does the WORKS.

11. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very WORKS' sake."

Now some will argue and say that Jesus is teaching that HE HIMSELF IS the FATHER because he says that if you have SEEN him, THEN you have SEEN the Father.

But IF this line of REASONING is true, then why would Jesus go on to say that the Father DWELLS IN him And then Jesus goes on to say in John 16:25-28 that he will SHOW us PLAINLY the FATHER? Think this through for yourself, IF Jesus was truly saying that he himself was the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the FATHER, when he said if you have SEEN me then you have SEEN the FATHER, then WHO would he tell his disciples later on in this SAME CONTEXT of John chapters 13-17 that he would SHOW them the FATHER PLAINLY.

John 16:25-28.

"These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the TIME COMES, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall SHOW you PLAINLY of the Father. (now if so be that Jesus was saying in John 14 that he is the Father then why is Jesus saying here that he SHALL show them the Father plainly?)

26. At THAT DAY you shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

27. For the Father HIMSELF loves you, because you have loved ME, and have BELIEVED that I came OUT from God.

28. I came FORTH FROM the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go TO the Father."

Now I want to Go back to 1 Timothy 6 and have you read the rest of what this disciple of Jesus has to say about SHOWING us the FATHER and WHO the Father IS according to the WHOLE word of God. Please read 1 Timothy 6:13-16, which CLEARLY teaches us that Jesus and the Father are two distinct individuals and that Jesus is NOT the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the FATHER.

1 Timothy 6:13-16.

"I give YOU CHARGE in the sight of GOD, who quickens all things, AND before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; (here we see Timothy giving us charge before Almighty God the Father AND before the SON Jesus Christ.)

14. That you KEEP THIS COMMANDMENT (or teaching) without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

15, Which in HIS TIMES (speaking of the first and second coming of Jesus) he (speaking of Jesus) shall SHOW, WHO is the blessed and ONLY Potentate (or WHO is the ONLY ALL POWERFUL or WHO IS THE ONLY ALMIGHTY), the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

16. WHO ONLY has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; WHOM no man has SEEN, NOR CAN SEE: to WHOM be honor and power everlasting. Amen."

Jesus did NOT come to speak of himself r to show himself. Jesu came to show us the FATHER to be the ONLY TRUE God. Now some look right past all the CLEAR teaching in these verses and DEMAND that verse 15 is speaking of JESUS because Jesus is called the King of kings, and the Lord of lords in the book of Revelation.

But to ME, I clearly see verse 16 as CLARIFYING EXACTLY WHO is the ONLY Potentate, or WHO the ONLY ALMIGHTY is as being the one WHOM no man has SEEN, NOR can EVER SEE, because man in the flesh cannot SEE that which is INVISIBLE, unless of course, God OPENS their eyes to see into the spiritual world like as in a VISION. John saw in a VISION one that sat upon the throne.

Again IF Paul were truly saying in 1 Timothy 3:16 that Almighty God HIMSELF was TRANSFORMED into a human form to BECOME 100% ALMIGHTY God in the FLESH rather than meaning by the word MANIFEST that he was simply saying that Almighty God the Father was manifestly DECLARED by the MAN Jesus, as in, Jesus SHOWED us PLAINLY the nature and character of his God and Father Almighty God BY the WORKS that Jesus did THROUGH the Holy Spirit of Almighty God that DWELT IN him, then WHY would Paul open his letter to Timothy and the church by saying that the ONLY WISE God the King eternal was INVISIBLE?

1 Timothy 1:17.

"Now UNTO the King eternal, immortal, INVISIBLE, the ONLY WISE God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen "

Almighty God is the ETERNAL King who highly exalted his firstborn to be made his King to be the King of kings.

Please read Psalm 89:27.

"Also I will MAKE him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth."

Then is Psalm 2 we read where Almighty God sets HIS King on his holy hill of Zion.

"Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

I want to ask this SIMPLE question which I set before those of you who teach these FALSE doctrines of the Trinity and Oneness.

Was Jesus INVISIBLE?

The TRUTH of the matter is that since the Jesus was CLEARLY SEEN of MEN, then he is NOT the ONLY WISE ALMIGHTY God whom NO MAN can EVER SEE.

The TRUTH of the matter is that when the disciple saw the WORKS of Jesus, then they were SEEING and UNDERSTANDING the true NATURE and CHARACTER of the ONE and ONLY TRUE ALMIGHTY God the FATHER.

When we compare scripture with scripture and look at other places where this word MANIFEST is used it becomes CLEAR that Almighty God the Father did not literally TRANSFORM HIMSELF 100% into a human form as some falsely teach. Certainly, Almighty God is capable of doing this, because he is Almighty and nothing is impossible.

So then, with this same line of thought that nothing is impossible with God, why then is it not possible for God to ELECT or CHOOSE to by his spoken word to cause the Virgin Mary to be conceived in her womb with a specially conceived unique Son that would be brought into the world and taught by God's Holy Spirit morning after morning as Isaiah teaches us, until he grew in stature and in favor with God, and then be baptized with the Holy Spirit of God to do the WORKS that God showed him through the power of the ANOINTING of the Holy Spirit that DWELT IN him and strengthened him to die as a MAN for our sins and thereby become our Lord and savior THROUGH the power and ANOINTING of Almighty God the Father?

WHY must these mainline churches insist that it be dogmatically taught that the death of a MAN could never ATONE for the sins of mankind that were supposedly brought upon all of mankind because of a mere MAN.

Why is it dogmatically taught that it MUST be Almighty God HIMSELF that died on that cross in the form of a man in order for the sacrifice to be sufficient to forgive mankind of their sins because of the one MAN Adam's sin?

Why could Jesus not be a MAN who was ANOINTED with the Holy Spirit of Almighty God that went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil for God was WITH him like Acts 10:38 PLAINLY and CLEARLY teaches us with SIMPLE easy to understand teaching.

Acts 10:38.

"How God (speaking of Almighty God the Father) ANOINTED Jesus of Nazareth WITH the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil;(HOW? How did Jesus being a MAN do all these mighty works of healing?) FOR (or by the reason that) God was WITH him."

Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, that Almighty God the Father was WITH his SON Jesus THROUGH the INDWELLING of the Holy Spirit, and that this is HOW Jesus did the mighty works of healing that he did in order to SHOW us the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God?

To ME, this is far easier to believe that these complicated man-made doctrines of the Trinity and Oneness.

Now I believe that Jesus was ONE with God, as in, Jesus laid aside his OWN will and obeyed the leading of the Holy Spirit who DWELT within him. Jesus and the Father AGREED as ONE, and if you follow through and STUDY the word of God then you will clearly see that this is exactly what Jesus meant when he said "I and my Father are ONE" in John 10:30. Please read this verse in the CONTEXT of where it is found and then COMPARE scripture WITH scripture rather than comparing scripture with the teachings and traditions of men.

Here is John 10:30 in its context, simply read the previous verse.

"29. My Father, which gave them me, is GREATER than ALL; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

30. I and my Father are ONE."

Now, WHY would Jesus say here in this previous verse that his Father, which is clearly ALMIGHTY God, is GREATER than he was IF Jesus TRULY meant that he and Almighty God his FATHER were ONE and the SELF-SAME being?

Well, some of you who want to cling to the false doctrine of the Trinity and the false doctrine of Oneness may be thinking, "Jesus was NOT talking about HIMSELF here when he said his Father was GREATER than ALL but was rather referring to all as in mankind and the devils." And you are partially correct.

However, when we compare scripture with scripture and read John 14:28 you will see without a doubt that Jesus considered himself to be UNDER and SUBJECT to his God and Father when he CLEARLY and PLAINLY says the Father is GREATER than I where Jesus is clearly speaking of himself.

John 14:28.

"You have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is GREATER than I."

Now to those of you who teach the doctrine of the Trinity, HOW can you even begin to use the words of Jesus when he said "I and my FATHER are ONE" and dogmatically demand that Jesus is EQUAL to the Father? And to those of you who are Oneness believers, HOW can you dogmatically demand that Jesus was saying that he himself IS the FATHER when Jesus is clearly saying that his Father is GREATER than him? The DOCTRINE of the Trinity plainly states that Jesus is NOT the FATHER and that the Almighty God the Father is NOT the SON which agree with the WHOLE word of Almighty God. But the doctrine of the Trinity is in error when it states that Jesus is EQUAL to the Father in every way where neither is less than or greater than the other.

To ME, EVERY scripture that is used by those who teach the DOCTRINE of the Trinity try to PROVE that Jesus IS fully the Almighty od himself having two natures at the same time, when you THINK it through those verses for YOURSELF you are in reality making Jesus be the FATHER, and therefore DISPROVE the DOCTRINE of the Trinity which plainly states that Jesus is NOT the Father. Perhaps this is why the doctrine of ONENESS was created?

My point is this, NEITHER of these DOCTRINES of MAN line up with the WHOLE word of God, so WHY cling to them and dogmatically demand others to believe these false teaching out of fear of losing their salvation if they do not? I have heard BOTH doctrines wrongly teach that if you do not believe THEIR doctrine that you shall die in your sins. They abuse the word of God by not rightly dividing the word of truth to try and prove their man-made doctrine is the truth. Please read the study "JOHN 8:24 IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE THAT I AM!"  for the true sound Biblical meaning of this verse.

The TRUTH of the matter is that these false doctrines are causing some to walk away from the word of TRUTH altogether. I have read testimonies of Christians who have converted to ISLAM just because of the doctrine of the Trinity. When they could not find any answers but the pat answers that we all have heard which is, "IT is a MYSTERY that the MIND cannot comprehend, therefore you just have to ACCEPT it by FAITH." which they can no longer accept, then some have turned to the Internet and YouTube videos rather than going to the word of God.

It is my desire that all church denominations teach all sides of every controversy in-depth and then allow their congregation to decide for themselves what to believe. The reason I say this is because when the Holy Spirit reveals a Scripture to a Christian and that revealing from the Holy Spirit seems to contradict what their church denomination is teaching then they are going to have questions. And if those questions are not answered to their satisfaction then they are going to turn elsewhere for the answers. Now it may be that they find a website like here at AMatterOfTruth.com where the whole word of God is being taught so they can see all sides of the controversy and they find the truth. But some may be deceived by Islam of some other false teaching like Mormonism or the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Just THINK about this for a moment. IF these doctrines were TRUE, which they BOTH cannot be TRUE, but for the sake of RATIONAL reasoning, IF one or the other of these doctrines were TRUE, then WHY do we not find the CLEAR teaching of EITHER of these doctrines in the word of God? Why do we not find any teachings saying that we must believe that Jesus is the Father in order to be saved? What do we not find any verses saying that we must believe that Jesus had two natures at the same time if we want to be saved? Why do we not find any verses commanding us that we must believe that Jesus is one and the self-same being as Yahweh himself if we want to receive eternal life in the world to come?

Why do we ONLY find verse teaching that we must believe that Jesus is the SON OF God in order to be saved? Because that is what the Bible ITSELF is teaching us.

Now hear me out and let me explain what I mean by this. Jesus was a JEW was he not? Yes, I am sure you will agree that Jesus was a Jew who was sent by God to his OWN people who were of course JEWS as well. Correct me if I am wrong, but did not the JEWS believe in ONE God? Of course, they did. Jesus himself said, the Lord OUR God is ONE Lord which in the original text would read "YHWH our Elohim is one YHWH or Yahweh OUR God is ONE Yahweh.

So then, IF the early Church SUPPOSEDLY came to these JEWS first preaching a GOSPEL of a TRINITY, or a GOSPEL of ONENESS saying that Jesu is Yahweh the Father, then would not there be pages and pages of explanation to these JEWS who believed in the ONE INVISIBLE God. Seriously, THINK about this for awhile. There are many pages written about the CONTROVERSY of CIRCUMCISION and the RESURRECTION of Jesus, but I Myself do not find one word of teaching to supposedly CORRECT the JEWS the Jesus is the ONE TRUE God trying to persuade them that the Son of MAN Jesus is Yahweh in the flesh being fully Almighty God and fully a man at the same time.

The TRUTH of the matter is that we do not see the church writing teaching to try and EXPLAIN this doctrine of the Trinity until the fourth and fifth centuries. And the reason WHY is that this doctrine of the Trinity did not EXIST as a doctrine of the church UNTIL that time in history. Now to ME, this should raise a RED FLAG to every Christian who has ever been taught these doctrines of the Trinity and Oneness. This LACK of CLEAR PLAIN and SIMPLE teaching by the apostles and the early church should alone prove to you that these were NOT doctrines that Jesus nor the apostles taught.

Anyway, getting back to this question of what does this phrase "God was MANIFEST in the FLESH" truly mean let us now take a close look at HOW this word is used in other places in the word of God. Please read 1 Corinthians 4:2-11 which tells us that Jesus Christ was made MANIFEST in OUR FLESH. So does this mean that Jesus was TRANSFORMED and BECAME OUR FLESH? Why would we believe such foolish REASONING? Yet some believe this very thing when it is applied to Almighty God being MANIFEST in the flesh as dogmatically meaning that Almighty God was TRANSFORMED and BECAME 100% FLESH, but yet REMAINED 100% God at the SAME time.

1 Corinthians 4:2-11.

"But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation (or the clear revealing) of the TRUTH commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

3. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4. In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the IMAGE of God, (and NOT the false deceitful gospel that teaches that Jesus IS ALMIGHTY GOD the FATHER HIMSELF that the god of this world has blinded the eyes of those that believe such doctrines lest the LIGHT of the glorious gospel of TRUTH) should shine unto them.

5. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

6. For God (speaking of Almighty God the FATHER), who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the LIGHT of the knowledge of the glory of God IN the FACE of Jesus Christ.

7. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

8. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

9. Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

10. Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made MANIFEST in OUR BODY.

11. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made MANIFESTS in our MORTAL FLESH."

Now does this mean that Jesus who has now been GIVEN eternal life by his God and Father even as Almighty God the Father has LIFE in HIMSELF is now TRANSFORMED and BECOME OUR MORTAL FLESH? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Even to think such a thing is completely ridiculous.

But yet those that teach the doctrine of the Trinity and those that teach the doctrine of oneness will dogmatically demand that this is what this very same word that is TRANSLATED as MANIFEST in both places means in 1 Timothy 3:16, but at the same time would not even dare to say that Jesus has BECOME OUR MORTAL FLESH.

Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus the CHRIST that Jesus was the IMAGE of Almighty God the Father in that what his God and Father was is CHARACTER so was Jesus. Whatever the Father said to do, Jesus did through the power of the Holy Spirit of Almighty God the DWELT IN him. This is WHY Jesus is called the CHRIST because Jesus was ANOINTED with the Holy Spirit of Almighty God.

This word MANIFEST does NOT mean that Almighty God the Father BECAME the SON Jesus. Rather it just merely means that Jesus manifestly DECLARED the GOODNESS of hos God and Father in the LIFE that Jesus himself LIVED. And this SAME life of Jesus should be manifestly DECLARED in OUR MORTAL bodies of FLESH.

In Colossians 1:25-28 we read where this MYSTERY of the ANOINTING of the Holy Spirit DWELLING in the BELIEVER is MANIFEST in us in order that we may be perfect in the sight of God.

"Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God;

26. Even the MYSTERY which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made MANIFEST to his saints:

27. To whom God would make known (or in other words, to whom God would MANIFEST) what is the riches of the glory of THIS MYSTERY among the Gentiles; which is CHRIST IN YOU (or the ANOINTING of the Holy Spirit of Almighty God DWELLING IN YOU. In other words, the SAME ANOINTING of the Holy Spirit that DWELT IN Jesus, or the SPIRIT of CHRIST now DWELLS IN YOU), the hope of glory:

28. Whom we preach, WARNING every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:"

To get right down to it, THIS is the MAIN reason why I teach what I teach. To ME, as I look around at the body of Jesus the CHRIST, the church, I see many who are STRUGGLING desperately to stay faithful to God. And one of the REASONS to ME is that they have been dogmatically taught to believe that Jesus IS GOD because no MAN could possibly do all the wonderful WORKS of healing and raising the dead and therefore Jesus must be God. But then the Holy Spirit reveals verse to them like God is GRETER than Jesus and ONLY God is good and they begin to question what their church denomination is teaching them. Please read the study "37 FACTS TO PONDER ABOUT JESUS BEING GOD!" which gives no lees that 37 verses that contradict Jesus being Almighty God himself but do NOT contradict being a God under the One true and only Almighty God the Father.

In other words, because of the teachings of the Trinity and Oneness some Christians see Jesus as the ONLY one who can live without sin, and some also see Jesus as the ONLY one to HEAL the sick because they see Jesus himself as being Almighty God HIMSELF. These false teaching have blinded the eyes of some Christians form seeing the truth of God's word that Jesu was ANOINTED which means that Almighty God the Father DWELT IN Jesus to empower the Son of MAN to do the will of the Father. And thus some have been blinded to the truthh that the Holy Spirit now DWELLS IN us to empower us to do the SAME WORKD Jesus did THROUGH the eternal Spirit who dwelt in him.

Now, I see Jesus as a MAN just like you and me who was ANOINTED OF God, who was tempted in every way like we are tempted and yet Jesus did NOT give into these temptations like many of us do because he trusted in the eternal Spirit dwelling in him to help him overcome those temptations. BUT the REASONING of some Christians is that ONLY Jesus was able to RESIST the temptation and NOT sin was because he was literally Almighty God HIMSELF in the FLESH as opposed to God being WITH him by DWELLING IN him just like the Holy Spirit now dwellsin us as believers.

Now to ME, this kind of teaching has become nothing more than an EXCUSE to continue to give into the temptation to sin.

The TRUTH of the matter is that we are CALLED to FOLLOW the EXAMPLE that Jesus set for us, which is to live OUR life WITHOUT SIN.

Please read 1 Peter 2:21-23, which says,

"For even hereunto were you CALLED: because Christ also suffered for us, LEAVING us an EXAMPLE, that you should FOLLOW HIS STEPS ( so what were the steps of Jesus, what was the example that he left for us to FOLLOW?):

22. Who did NO SIN, neither was guile found in his mouth:

23. Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but COMMITTED himself to HIM (speaking of his God and Father the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God) that judges righteously:"

Jesus HIMSELF committed the KEEPING of himself from giving into the temptation to sin and THROUGH the power of the ETERNAL Holy Spirit of his God and Father that DWELT IN him, Jesus OVERCAME Satan the devil and lived his life WITHOUT SIN. Please read Hebrews 9:14, which clearly teaches us that Jesus THROUGH the Holy Spirit of Almighty God the Father offered himself WITHOUT SIN. In other words, THROUGH the power of the Holy Spirit Jesus lived his LIFE WITHOUT SIN so that he could offer himself as that perfect LAMB of God without spot or blemish for our sins.

"How much more shall the blood of Christ, WHO (clearly speaking of Jesus the CHRIST or Jesus the ANOINTED ONE of Almighty God the Father, Jesus) THROUGH the ETERNAL Spirit offered himself WITHOUT SPOT (or WITHOUT SIN) to God, purge your conscience from dead works to SERVE the living God?"

For a deeper understanding of HOW to live YOUR life WITHOUT SIN please read the study "HOW TO LIVE YOUR LIFE FREE FROM SIN".

To ME, I see that the word of TRUTH teaches us that Almighty God the Father is ETERNAL and that God is SPIRIT. And we have just seen that the SPIRIT is ETERNAL. So then, would it be jumping to conclusions to then say that the Holy Spirit is Almighty God, or at least what God IS.

You see, to ME, I do not see anywhere in the word of God that CLEARLY and PLAINLY says the JESUS was ALWAYS ETERNAL. Some teach that Jesus pre-existed ETERNALLY based on the scriptures that seem to say that Jesus IS the FATHER.

But IF this assumption is true, then WHY did Almighty God GIVEN Jesus LIFE as in ETERNAL LIFE in himself EVEN as Almighty God HAS life in HIMSELF? Please read John 5:14-30 where Jesus refutes the FALSE accusation of the Jesus that by simply calling Almighty God his FATHER that Jesus was MAKING HIMSELF EQUAL with Almighty God.

John 5:14-30.

"Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, you are made whole: sin no more, lest (or for fear that) a worse thing come unto you.

15. The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole (and so it appeared to those watching this man being healed as if it was Jesus himself healing this man).

16. And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

17. BUT Jesus answered them, My Father works hitherto, and I work.

18. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his FATHER, making himself EQUAL with God.

19. Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing OF himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things soever he does, these also does the Son likewise. (In other words, what Jesus saw he God and Father do through him either in a vision or a dream, then Jesus then did what he saw the Father do through him when he saw the same circumstance come to pass in his life. PLAIN and SIMPLE Jesus himself was NOT making himself EQUAL with God, but rather was refuting this FALSE accusation from the Jews by telling them that he could do NOTHING in and OF HIMSELF, but it was Almighty God who was healing these people THROUGH him as a man of God whom God loved)

20. For (or because) the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that himself does: and he will show him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

21. For as the Father raises up the dead, and quickens them; even so the Son quickens whom he will.

22. For the Father judges no man, but has COMMITTED all judgment unto the Son:

23. That all men should HONOR the Son, EVEN as they HONOR the Father. He that honors NOT the Son honors NOT the Father which has sent him.

24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

25. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

26. For AS the Father HAS life in HIMSELF; so has he GIVEN to the Son to HAVE life in himself;

27. And has GIVEN him authority to execute judgment also, BECAUSE he is the Son of MAN.

28. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

29. And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

30. I can OF mine OWN SELF DO NOTHING: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine OWN will, but the will of the Father which has sent me."

Now to ME, it does not matter if Jesus pre-existed eternally or not. The thing that matters to me and many others is all the CONTRADICTIONS with the word of God that make the claim and dogmatically teach the Jesus IS GOD, as in, Jesus IS ALMIGHTY God in the flesh.

For the ME, this false teaching CONTRADICTS the word of TRUTH in many places. For Example: here is a list of IF Jesus is TRULY God as some teach, then WHY...

Jesus was TEMPTED with evil to sin against his God and Father and the word of God plainly states that Almighty God CANNOT be TEMPTED with evil. Therefore IF Jesus was TRULY God, then HOW is it that Jesus could be TEMPTED seeing he IS GOD and God CANNOT be TEMPTED. This is a CONTRADICTION between the DOCTRINE of the Trinity and the DOCTRINE of Oneness with the CLEAR PLAIN and SIMPLE word of TRUTH.

  • Jesus had a WILL of his OWN that was different from the WILL of the Father, otherwise Jesus would not have said, never the less, NOT MY WILL, but YOUR WILL be done. Now IF Jesus were TRULY God, then his WILL would be EXACTLY the SAME in every respect. But yet again another CONTRADICTION between the DOCTRINES of MEN and the SIMPLICITY of the word of God.

  • Jesus did NOT KNOW the day nor the hour of his return, but yet Almighty God the Father does know that day and hour of his Son's return. Again a CONTRADICTION not in God's word but in the FALSE INTERPRETATION of those who formed these FALSE DOCTRINES of the Trinity and oneness.

  • Jesus COULD NOT do any mighty work of healing in his own hometown, when the Bible itself says that NOTHING is impossible with God.

  • Jesus could do nothing of HIMSELF, but rather the Father by his Holy Spirit IN him did the works. For you see, IF Jesus was TRULY God, then the word not have said, "I can do NOTHING OF MYSELF".

  • Jesus was ANOINTED by Almighty God, the Father to preach the gospel and heal the sick, which raises the question, “Why did he need to be anointed with the Holy Spirit of Almighty God, if Jesus was truly God in the flesh, being FULLY God and fully man and EQUAL with God in every way?”

  • Jesus said there is NONE good but the Father when he himself was addressed as good master or teacher. So then, IF Jesus was TRULY God then he would have received this praise and would not have stressed that ONLY Almighty God the Father was good.

  • Jesus said the Father is GREATER than ALL in the SAME context where he says that he and the Father are ONE, which literally means that they AGREE as one and not that they are one and the same being. And IF this TRULY meant that Jesus and the Father are ONE and the SAME being, then the DOCTRINE of the trinity is still in error, because it plainly states that Jesus is NOT the Father. And IF Jesus was TRULY God then there would be NOTHING said in the entire word of God about Almighty God the Father being GREATER than Jesus.

  • Jesus was, is and always will be UNDER or SUBJECT unto Almighty God the Father. If Jesus were TRULY Almighty God the HIGHEST and GREATEST of ALL, then how is it possible for Jesus to be UNDER and SUBJECT unto his God and Father?

  • Jesus plainly calls the God the Father HIS GOD and HIS FATHER and God the Father says he is the GOD of his Son Jesus. IF Jesus is TRULY God then how can Almighty God be God OVER himself? That would make no sense whatsoever making Jesus be Almighty God the Father over himself.

  • Jesus on the other hand NEVER claims that he is God or equal to God. The word teaches that Jesus is the Son of God. IF Jesus were TRULY God, and EQUAL with God, then why did Jesus answer back to these ACCUSATIONS of the Jews to affirm that he was equal with God?

  • Jesus rather plainly states 80 times that he is the Son of MAN. Even when Jesus is addressed as being the Son of God, Jesus immediately turns it around and calls himself the Son of MAN. WHY? Because to ME, Jesus clearly saw himself as the Son of MAN a fellow brother of the human race. To ME, I do not see anywhere that Jesus saw himself as being Almighty God the Father, nor EQUAL with his God and Father, so then WHY should we?

  • Whatever the Word was in the beginning before the Word BECAME FLESH and was GIVEN the name Jesus the Bible tells us that he stripped himself of all his glory and took upon himself the nature of man and became FLESH and blood just like you and I. So WHY try and twist the clear word of God and dogmatically demand that Jesus IS God, as in, THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God?

  • Jesus prayed to the Father for himself and others showing that he depended upon God the Father. IF Jesus were TRULY God then why did he feel the need to pray to himself?

  • Jesus and God the Father are clearly shown in multiple verses of the Bible that they are TWO separate and distinct beings and that we as believers must believer and HONOR them BOTH in order to obtain eternal life in the world to come. If Jesus were TRULY God, as in, Almighty God, then there would be no BOTH to honor, there would be just ONE.

  • Jesus increased in knowledge, the grace of God, and the Spirit and he learned obedience by the things he suffered. In other words, if Jesus were truly and FULLY God, then would not this be, an Almighty God OBEYING himself?

  • Jesus was HIGHLY EXALTED by the Father AFTER he learned obedience by his death on the cross. IF Jesus were TRULY God, then WHY would he need to be HIGHLY EXALTED because he would already be as HIGH as he could be.

  • Jesus was given LIFE in himself EVEN as the Father has life in himself or in the exact same way that Almighty God has life in himself. Now think about this for a moment, IF Jesus was truly God in the FLESH, being FULLY God and fully man as we have been TAUGHT, then WHY would Almighty God NEED to be GIVEN ETERNAL LIFE seeing and knowing that Almighty God is already an eternal being.

  • Jesus was COMMANDED by God the Father. Again why would an Almighty God COMMAND himself to do something? And if they were separate but EQUAL in every way as the DOCTRINE of the trinity states, then you have to ask yourself, do two beings who are EQUAL COMMAND each other to do things. Absolutely NOT, no one being EQUAL with another would ever COMMAND them to do anything, but rather they would ASK them. Jesus ASKED his Father many times in prayer, but the Father gave his Son COMMANDMENTS that Jesus then kept in order to please his Father.

Now you may not agree with anything I have said, and that is your right as a human being. We all have been given by God the right to CHOSE. As I said before, I RECEIVE you as my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ if you believe in the doctrine of the Trinity. And I RECEIVE you as my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ if you believe in the doctrine of oneness. And I pray that you RECEIVE me as your brother in our Lord Jesus Christ even though I do not accept these man-made doctrines of either the Trinity nor the Oneness teaching that Jesus is the Father.

It is my prayer that you at least CONSIDER what I have said and that you yourself pray and ask God what is the TRUTH in every area of doctrine.

Thanks for reading. May God bless you richly as you continue to seek the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. Below are some other verses that are used to try and support the doctrine of the Trinity and the deity of Jesus. There may be other verses which you may be having trouble seeing any other way than what you were dogmatically taught, but I assure you that each and every verse used by those who teach the doctrine of the Trinity and the doctrine of Oneness do indeed have a different meaning that does NOT CONTRADICT any other part of God's word. To me, the Bible itself clearly teaches us that Jesus came out from Deity to become the Son of MAN and then AFTER the cross the Son of Man was highly exalted to become the eternal Son of God who will rul for Yahweh in the world to come and thus the Son of Man Jesus became Deity AFTER the cross.

Your brother in our Lord Jesus Christ,
