Cc-17. Does John 6:37-45 TEACH CALVINISM?

One of the most widely used passages from the Bible to try and support the teaching of Calvinism and Reformed Theology is John 6:37-45. Where those who teach this theology dogmatically demand that this passage of scriptures means, without fail, that Almighty God only draws certain select individuals, that they refer to as the ELECT, whom only the Father will draw to Jesus in such an irresistible way of grace that each and every elect person will be saved eternally without fail and without ever a chance of ever losing their salvation once they accept Jesus as their savior. Now consequently, this kind of forced theology teaching where God has supposedly chosen from before the foundation of the world only certain select individuals to be saved based upon nothing that they have done or will yet do.

Also, this would mean, without fail, that absolutely no other person has even the remotest possibility to be saved. For you see, supposedly, they have NOT been elected or chosen to be saved by God from before the foundation of the world. In other words, the BELIEF in God choosing only certain select individuals to be saved based upon nothing that they have done also demands the BELIEF in God also choosing all the rest of mankind to be lost, based upon nothing that they have done as well.

But is this the true SOUND BIBLICAL meaning of this passage of scripture. In other words, does this meaning that is imposed upon John 6:37-45, by those who teach Calvinism and Reformed Theology absolutely, AGREE with every other passage of scripture in the Bible? You see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, if there is just ONE other verse or passage of scripture that does NOT AGREE with this interpretation that Jesus did NOT die for the sins of the whole world, then those INTERPRETATIONS are in ERROR and should be rejected, because those interpretations CONTRADICT the rest of God's word of TRUTH.

So then, let us TEST this Calvinistic and Reformed Theological INTERPRETATION of this passage of scripture in John 6:37-45, which THEY dogmatically demand teaches, at its core, that Jesus did NOT die for the sins for the WHOLE world but rather died for the sins of ONLY the so-called ELECT. Therefore, according to Calvinism, the Father will ONLY draw the ELECT. Please read 1 John 2:2, which clearly and plainly teaches us that Jesus died for the sins of the WHOLE world.

1 John 2:2.

“And he is the propitiation for our sins (Or Jesus is the ATONEMENT for our sins): and NOT for ours ONLY, BUT ALSO for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD.”

Now on the surface, these two passages of scripture SEEM to disagree and CONTRADICT each other. However, please keep in mind that it is ONLY the INTERPRETATION imposed upon the passage of scripture in John 6:37-45 by those who teach Calvinism and Reformed Theology that disagrees and CONTRADICTS this CLEAR, PLAIN, and simple verse in 1 John 2:2, which agrees with the rest of God's word that Jesus died for the sins of the WHOLE world and does not truly need any interpretation whatsoever, UNLESS they are trying to force it to agree with their own personal interpretation of other verses that they use to try and support their own denomination doctrine. The word of God itself does not disagree or contradict itself.

In other words, is there another meaning for this passage of scripture in John 6:37-45 that does not contradict any other part of God's word? Now those who teach Calvinism and Reformed Theology, which I may at times, throughout this study in God's word, only use the word Calvinism to refer to ALL the different groups that teach this same kind of theology, dogmatically demand that there is absolutely no other way to interpret this passage of scripture. In other words, Calvinism dogmatically demands that Jesus died ONLY for certain select individuals that God chose and predestined to be saved from before the foundation of the world.

Therefore, according to Calvinism, they conclude that there cannot possibly be ANY OTHER meaning of John 6:37-45 than to conclude that the Father draws ONLY the ELECT to be saved with an IRRESISTIBLE grace and an EFFECTUAL calling whereby they are preserved or kept by the power of God. And thus, according to Calvinistic INTERPRETATION of John 6:37-45, it impossible for any of the elect to ever lose their salvation once they come to Jesus and accept him as their savior. Therefore, Calvinism must dogmatically demand that once a person accepts Jesus as their savior then they are always saved and they can never lose their salvation no matter what. Some extreme teachings of Calvinism claim that even if one of the elect were to DENY Jesus, they would not lose their salvation.

HOWEVER, this INTERPRETATION made by Calvinism does NOT agree with the clear, plain, and simple verse in 1 John 2:2 that too many and perhaps even to most every other Christian, CLEARLY means that Jesus died for the sins of the WHOLE world and NOT for our sins ONLY.

So then, I implore those who have been taught Calvinism to closely consider the understanding that most every other Christian concludes from 1 John 2:2, rather than TRY to CHANGE what this clear, plain and simple verse found in 1 John 2:2 actually means by forcing it to mean that Jesus did NOT die for the sins of the whole world, so that you can place your own denominational Calvinistic INTERPRETATION upon John 6:37-45 as well. So once again, I implore all my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, to dig into God's word to see if the CONTEXT of John 6:37-45 can be interpreted another way in the light of the whole word of God that does NOT CONTRADICT 1 John 2:2 and the rest of God's word that clearly teaches us that Jesus did indeed die for the sins of the WHOLE world. In other words, why CHANGE the already clear, plain and simple meaning of 1 John 2:2, which again clearly teaches us that Jesus died for the sins of every single human being in the WHOLE world and NOT for our sins ONLY just so that it will not contradict your own personal interpretation of the more obscure passage of scripture found in John 6:37:45. Why not take a closer new look at the more obscure passage of scripture to find another interpretation that AGREES with 1 John 2:2.

Here is 1 John 2:2 again.

“And he is the propitiation for our sins (or Jesus is the ATONEMENT for our sins): and NOT for ours ONLY, BUT ALSO for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD.”

So then, let us begin this study in God's word by reading this passage of scripture being left in its context. Please read John 6:22-60 but first I want to summarize what just took place the day before Jesus spoke these words. And I want you to understand to WHOM these words were being specifically directed. I also want you to understand that the disciples of Jesus were also present and heard these words as well, saying back to Jesus, that this is a HARD SAYING WHO can hear it or who can UNDERSTAND it? This is important to know and understand that the very disciples of Jesus had difficulty comprehending what Jesus was saying.

So then, even those of you who may say that these words of Jesus are crystal clear, this is NOT an easy passage of scripture to understand. Particularly, it is not easy for those who have been taught Calvinism all their life to understand UNTIL they have come to see many other verses in God's word that contradict what they have been taught.

What I mean by this is that I can understand that John 6:37-45 may be a stumbling block to those of you who are beginning to see the errors in what Calvinism teaches. For you see, you have been taught over and over again that this verse can mean nothing else but those who the Father draws to Jesus will come to Jesus and Jesus will in no way cast out. And this, to the Calvinistic mind, can ONLY mean that the Father must, therefore, draw ONLY the ELECT. And then, the Calvinistic interpretation of who the elect are causing you to lean back toward Calvinism. So I know that some of you are struggling with this verse because all you can see right now in your mind that is conditioned toward Calvinism is what you have been dogmatically TAUGHT by your denomination.

But I also know that there is something deep within you is saying to you that this interpretation simply cannot be correct. For you see, I know that it is the Holy Spirit who is showing you the errors made by those who teach Calvinism in the other areas of the 5 points of the doctrine of Calvinism. So, therefore, you know deep down that this passage of scripture must mean something other than what you have been taught all your life from the denomination of Calvinism. You may be saying to your self, I know this verse must mean something different than what has been concluded by Calvinism that Jesus did not die for the sins of the whole world but I just cannot seem to see any other meaning as yet. So then, to those of you who are struggling with the contradictions in Calvinism I assure you that there is more than just the Calvinistic INTERPRETATION of this passage of scripture in John 6:37-45.

Now, this is a long passage of scripture but if you TRULY are seeking the truth of the WHOLE word of God, then you must understand the whole CONTEXT of the heart of what Jesus is speaking and to who is he speaking. And this will take some time to read and cover the entire context in order to see what these verses TRULY mean in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of God. So please be patient. After all, it took years for some of you to be indoctrinated into Calvinism, so what is a couple of hours of your undivided attention while you read this study? I ask you to please pray and ask God to open the eyes of your understanding and then finish reading this study in God's word along with the study called “EXAMINING CALVINISM IN THE LIGHT OF GOD'S WORD”. I will take this passage of scripture one verse at a time and add my comments in parenthesis. You may find it helpful to have your Bible open as well, to read alongside this study in God's word, where you will find the errors made in Calvinism being exposed when the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of God shines upon this false teaching. Please read John 6:22-60 which follows the account where Jesus miraculously fed a multitude of five thousand people and then walked on water across the sea to the other side.

John 6:22-60.

“The day following (This was the very next day after Jesus did a mighty work of God to feed about five thousand people with just five loaves of barley bread and two small fish that was a young boy's lunch. And when the multitude had eaten and was FULL, there was gathered together of LEFTOVER food that filled twelve baskets which had not been eaten because everyone was stuffed and could eat no more. So the day right after this miracle that Jesus did in the EYES of all these people and then walked on water to the other side of the sea, then the very next day) when the people (Speaking of the same people who saw this miracle of Jesus and ate the bread and fish till they were filled but who did not actually see Jesus walk on water, and wondered how Jesus got to the other side while they) which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one where into his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;

23. (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where THEY did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)

24. When the people, therefore, saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, THEY also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

25. And when THEY had found him on the other side of the sea, THEY said unto him, Rabbi, when came you hither? (Again, the day before Jesus did this miracle of feeding the five thousand. And then, unknown to THEM Jesus walked on the water to the other side of the sea and these Jews were wondering how he got to the other side. For you see, they saw the disciples of Jesus go to the other side ALONE. So they asked Jesus how did you get here on this side of the sea?)

26. Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, (Or Truly, truly) I say unto you, You seek me, NOT because you SAW the MIRACLES, but because you did EAT of the loaves, and were FILLED. (This is an important key to understanding this passage of scripture. Jesus is talking to some of God's CHOSEN people, the JEWS, who were NOT truly seeking after God. They were just seeking after the BLESSING of God. Jesus goes on to basically say their heart is not right with God. Jesus is teaching them to)

27. Labor not for the meat which perishes, but (Or but rather work) for that meat which endures unto EVERLASTING LIFE, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him has God the Father sealed. (Now, after saying these words, Jesus has gotten their attention. In the very next verse, they ask WHAT shall we do that we might work the works of God to receive eternal life? They are still seeking the BLESSING of God but now they are seeking how to work the works of God)

28. Then said THEY unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the WORKS of God? (These Jews wanted to know what work of God that they can do to please God in order to receive ETERNAL LIFE)

29. Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the WORK of God, that you BELIEVE on him whom he has sent. (But now these Jews want PROOF that Jesus was the one that God has sent)

30. THEY said, therefore, unto him, What SIGN show you then, that we may SEE, and believe you (Or so that we can believe you are the one sent by God)? What work do you do (Or what miracle will you do so that we can know for sure that you were sent by God? Then these Jews said to Jesus in the next verse our fathers were given manna from heaven by MOSES so what can you do so we can believe God sent you)?

31. Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them BREAD from heaven to eat. (These Jews, at least this particular group of God's CHOSEN people, were not truly seeking God but rather only wanted what they could get from God. They wanted PROOF before they would believe)

32. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, MOSES gave you not that bread from heaven; BUT my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. (Now this verse means two things. First of all, Jesus is saying to them that it was NOT MOSES who gave you that bread from heaven, which your fathers ate, but rather Almighty God, my Father, sent your fathers that bread to eat. But Jesus is also saying that the bread that your fathers ate in the wilderness did indeed come down from heaven, but it is NOT the TRUE BREAD from heaven that gives ETERNAL LIFE to those who eat of it.)

33. For the BREAD of God is HE which comes down from heaven, and gives life unto the world. (This is the heart of the message that Jesus was trying to get across to these Jews who were not truly seeking God but only the blessings of God)

34. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this BREAD. (Jesus is probably thinking to himself, did you not hear what I just said? I just said that the TRUE BREAD from heaven is HE whom God has SENT and all you can think about is food. I just told you that I am HE, the TRUE BREAD that is sent down from heaven by God.)

35. And Jesus said unto them, I am the BREAD of LIFE (Or in others words, I am the ONE whom God has SENT to die for your sins so that whosoever of you BELIEVES on me shall not perish but shall have ETERNAL LIFE in the world to come. So now, Jesus had added a little more to his message so that we can understand that we do not actually receive this eternal life now in this present world. But rather we are only given the promise of eternal life that we will obtain or receive in the world to come. And we will only receive eternal life if so be that we BELIEVE on Jesus unto the end): he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst. (So then, to properly understand the true meaning of this passage of scripture you must understand that Jesus is speaking to ANYONE who COMES TO HIM in FAITH shall never hunger or thirst. And that we shall never hunger or never thirst will be in the world to COME which is WHEN ALL that the Father GIVES to his Son Jesus shall ascend up into the air to meet with our Lord. That is WHEN we shall forever be with our Lord and he shall in no way ever cast us out. It is ONLY THEN that the second death will have no power over us. It is ONLY AFTER we are found worthy AT the coming of Jesus to eat of the tree of life in the world to come. It is ONLY THEN that we will have finally received our promise of reward of ETERNAL LIFE and be given to Jesus as his wife.)

36. But I said unto you (Or but I also say unto you speaking to the unbelieving Jews that are not truly seeking God, but rather who are only seeking the blessings of God), That you ALSO have seen me (Or you have seen with your own eyes all the PROOF you need. For you ALSO saw the MIRACLES that I did by the hand of God and did eat that bread), and believe NOT(Or even after seeing all the PROOF asked to see you still do NOT BELIEVE that I am the one sent from God to give you the words of eternal life. In other words, ONLY those who BELIEVE on me will the Father give to me, so I can raise them up and give them eternal life, even as the Father will give me eternal life after I obey his will to lay down my life for the sins of the world.)

37. All (Or all of only those who BELIEVE IN Jesus) that the Father GIVES me shall come to me (Or shall RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE and come or ascend up to me to be with me forever); and him that comes to me (Or and all those who BELIEVE on me that I have given the promise of reward of ETERNAL LIFE who shall receive their crown of life on that day) I will in no wise cast out. (Or once those who believe on me and have been granted the right to eat of the tree of eternal life in the world to come shall then be safe from the second death. I will in no way ever cast out my good and faithful followers. So then, in the world to come, once we have endured unto the end to be saved, in that, we have actually received our promise of reward of eternal life, then and only then shall we always be saved and never lose our salvation. But now, in this present world, we are saved, in that, we are being brought back into right relationship with Almighty God to forever live righteously before him being made perfect, even as our Father in heaven is perfect by the forgiveness of all our past sins. And thus we must CONTINUE in this right relationship with God unto the END. The end is when we die or when Jesus returns, whichever come first. But AT the coming of Jesus, we will have been given immortal life in ourselves, even as Jesus has been given immortal life, just like his God and Father and our God and Father has in himself. We shall never be cast out once we actually receive eternal life in the world to come. For you see, for us, sin will be done away with and the wicked shall be no more, forever, for all eternity. This is the WHEN we shall actually be GIVEN to Jesus as his wife to never be cast out. This is what this whole passage of scripture is teaching us.)

38. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. (Jesus came to DIE for the sins of the WHOLE world reconciling the world back to God. I will say more on this subject of reconciling the world to God a little further on in this study of God's word to tie everything together.)

39. And this is the Father's WILL (Or the Father's PLAN for the end of our salvation) which has sent me, that of all which he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. (Or in other words, here is what is going to happen to those who BELIEVE on me. On the last day, it is Almighty God himself who will give me the power and the authority to resurrect those who BELIEVE in me and I will not lose even one of these precious ones who has believed in me even to the laying down of their very lives for my name's sake. It is my PROMISE to you that I will, without fail, raise you up from the dead and give you eternal life on that last day IF SO BE that you BELIEVE in me that I am the one that Almighty God has chosen to be the savior of the world)

40. AND (Or in addition to this I also say unto you that) this is the WILL of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son (Or UNDERSTANDS what Jesus is teaching, which means that if you truly understand the words of Jesus that he was sent by God to die for your sins and you will OBEY the words of Jesus. So, it is only those who SEES that Jesus died for their sins), AND BELIEVES on him (Or believes that he died of YOU personally and NOT for just you alone, but ALSO for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD. This is my Father's WILL that IF SO BE a person, any person whosoever fulfills my Father's will. For it is my Father's WILL to give you ETERNAL LIFE and that I will be the one to raise you up the last day so that you), may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (It will be on the day of the FIRST resurrection that we actually RECEIVE eternal  life)

41. The JEWS (Please notice that it was not the disciples of Jesus who truly believed that Jesus was the Messiah that murmured, but only those of God's CHOSEN people who were not truly seeking God, the JEWS who) then murmured at him, because he said, I am the BREAD which came down from heaven.

42. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that he said, I came down from heaven?

43. Jesus, therefore, answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

44. No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (Remember the words of Jesus when he said I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE and NO man comes unto the Father but by me. The Bible teaches us that Jesus is the ONLY name under heaven WHEREBY we ALL MUST BE SAVED. In other words, there is NO OTHER WAY to be RESURRECTED in the FIRST resurrection to be DRAWN to meet Jesus in the air and so shall ever be with the Lord and forever saved from the second death. And there is NO other way for those who do not partake in the FIRST resurrection to be saved other than to be TAUGHT of God during the 1000 year reign of Jesus and truly LEARN of the Father and then they too will be granted the right of eternal life and come to live in the presence of Jesus and Almighty God for all eternity)

45. It is WRITTEN in the prophets, (So then, WHERE is it WRITTEN in the prophets and WHAT is the CONTEXT that the prophets are PROPHESYING about? This is another KEY to properly understand the true meaning of this entire passage of scripture and these highly controversial verses when they are LEFT in their CONTEXT.) And THEY (Who are the THEY that the PROPHETS are prophesying about?) shall (Speaking of in the future THEY shall) be all TAUGHT of God. Every man, therefore, that has heard, AND has LEARNED of the Father (You see there is a BIG difference from just hearing about God than there is from hearing AND LEARNING of the Father. So then, it is only those who TRULY LEARN of the Father who), comes unto me. (Or will be granted eternal life at the end of the 1000 year reign of Jesus in order to come into the city of God and live in the presence of Jesus and Almighty God the Father)

46. Not (Or not as yet) that any man has seen the Father, save (Or except thus far) he which is of God, he has seen the Father.

47. Verily, verily (or Truly, truly, as if, almost to say, I guarantee when), I say unto you, He that BELIEVES on me has everlasting life (Or has a sure PROMISE of receiving eternal life in the world to come).

48. I am that bread of life.

49. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead (Or they died physically).

50. This is the bread which comes down from heaven (Or but this bread I am offering you that whosoever BELIEVES that I am the savior sent from God), that (Or so that) a man (Speaking of any man whosoever) may eat thereof, and not die.

51. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if ANY MAN eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread (Or the TEACHING that came down from Heaven is)  that I will give IS my flesh, which I will give for the LIFE OF THE WORLD. (Meaning every human being that has ever lived or who will yet ever live. All they have to do is EAT, which means BELIEVE that Jesus died for YOU. And not ONLY you but ALSO for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD)

52. The Jews (Again, this particular group of God's CHOSEN people who were not truly seeking God) therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

53. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you. (Or except you BELIEVE that I am HE that was sent from God to DIE for your sins you shall not inherit eternal life in the world to come)

54. Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. (Or BUT on the other hand, WHOSOEVER in all the world shall believe that I died for their sins, then I will raise them up and give them eternal life on the day of their resurrection)

55. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

56. He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, DWELLS in me, and I in him.

57. As the living Father has sent me, and I live BY the Father (Or my God and Father will one day soon raise me from the dead and GIVE me eternal life even as he himself has immortal life in himself): so he that eats me (Or so it will be the he who BELIEVES in me that I died for their sins), even he shall live BY me. (Because Almighty God, the Father, has given his Son power and authority to raise the dead, those who BELIEVE to eternal life, and those who choose NOT to believe to eternal destruction in the lake of fire which is the second death.)

58. THIS is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live forever. (In other words, this is the gospel or the good news of Jesus Christ, no more offering of animal sacrifices. Just believe, repent of sin and endure unto the end, by obeying the word of God and the Holy Spirit and eternal life is yours to receive in the world to come)

59. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

60. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an HARD saying; who can hear it?”

First of all, the problem arises by their taking ONE verse, John 6:37, OUT of its CONTEXT. John 6:37 is the verse in question as to what it truly means. So then, is the GIVING by the Father to Jesus CONDITIONAL or UNCONDITIONAL? What I mean by this is that are those to whom the Father GIVES to his Son Jesus given to him WITHOUT their having faith to BELIEVE? Or must they BELIEVE in Jesus FIRST before they are given to Jesus?

Now, when this verse is taken OUT of CONTEXT, there are TWO different and directly opposite INTERPRETATIONS that have been drawn from this very same verse based upon another FALSE conclusion from some other verse in the Bible. I will explain what I mean by this in a moment, but first I want you to see these two different opposing interpretations that have been concluded by not keeping this verse in CONTEXT. Let us read John 6:37 taken OUT of context first and then I want you to read the INTERPRETATIONS of this verse when it is taken out of context.

John 6:37.

“All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out.”

Now, there are some Christians who read this verse out of context and dogmatically demand that this verse means without fail that the Father will give ALL of mankind to Jesus and then his Son Jesus will in no way cast any of mankind out, because 1 John 2:2 clearly teaches us that Jesus died for the sins of the WHOLE world. Therefore, they falsely conclude that ALL of mankind must, without fail, eventually, one day be saved where not one single person will be lost, but that everyone will eventually be saved. Please read the study “IS UNIVERSALISM A SOUND BIBLICAL TEACHING?”

Then there are other Christians, who have been taught Reformed Theology of Calvinism, that read this verse taken out of context and dogmatically demand that this verse means that Jesus could not have possibly died for ALL of mankind. Therefore, they go to the other extreme to falsely conclude that Jesus must have died for ONLY certain selected individuals who must have been CHOSEN by God to be the ONLY ones to be saved.

Now, BOTH of these two opposing groups of Christians make these false conclusions based upon the same previous false conclusion where both groups happen to agree. This previous false conclusion made by both of these groups is that they REASON that since God is Almighty and that it is his WILL that not ANY should perish, then most assuredly his WILL must be done without fail, otherwise God must not be Almighty.

But is this line of reasoning a sound Biblical line of reasoning? Does that fact that if the WILL of God is NOT done make God NOT to be Almighty? Absolutely NOT! Nor does God's will NOT being done make God to be a FAILURE. The TRUTH of John 6:37 when it is LEFT in the CONTEXT is that the ONLY individuals that the Father GIVES to Jesus are the ones that BELIEVE that Jesus died for their sins and obey the words of Jesus unto the end.

Please read John 6:36-40, which clearly teaches us that it is ALSO the Fathers WILL that only those that he will one day give to Jesus MUST BELIEVE that he sent his Son to die for their sins.

John 6:36-40.

“But I said unto you, That you also have seen me, and BELIEVE NOT. (Or you have personally seen with your own eyes the MIRACLES that I did by the hand of my Father in heaven. And those miracles should prove to you that God SENT me. But even after seeing me do those miracles you continue to BELIEVE NOT. Therefore, even though you say that you know God, you do NOT truly know God or the prophecies of God. For you see, if you truly know God, then you would BELIEVE on me that I am SENT from God to show you the Father because the Scriptures testify of me as the one prophesied to come)

37. ALL that the Father GIVES me shall come to me; and him that COMES to me I will in no wise cast out. (I will discuss these four things further on in this study of God's word. But for now, please know and understand that those who do NOT BELIEVE will NOT be given to Jesus. Those in UNBELIEF do NOT COME to Jesus. Do not place you OWN personal INTERPRETATION on this verse by taking it OUT of its CONTEXT)

38. For (Or BECAUSE) I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39. And THIS is the Father's WILL which has sent me, that of all which he HAS GIVEN me I should lose nothing, BUT should raise it up again at the last day.

40. And THIS is the WILL of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, AND BELEIVES on him, may have everlasting life: AND I will raise him up at the last day.”

So then, clearly, verse 40 here in the CONTEXT of John 6:36-40 is ALSO the Father's will that ONLY those who will one day be GIVEN to his Son Jesus MUST BELIEVE on him. This means that all that the Father gives to Jesus must BELIEVE in his Son Jesus FIRST.

You see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, these JEWS in this very CONTEXT of John 6:37 who are God's CHOSEN people would NOT COME to Jesus because they did NOT BELIEVE that Jesus was sent by God. It is ONLY those who BELIEVE in Jesus FIRST to whom the Father will GIVE to his Son Jesus. Even though Almighty God the Father, himself, CHOSE the JEWS to be his people, he will not give those JEWS who do NOT BELIEVE in Jesus to his Son for his Son to raise up on the last day and give eternal life.

Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, that IF God gave his CHOSEN people, the JEWS, who REJECT Jesus as their savior and who refuse to BELIEVE on Jesus, then this would CONTRADICT other parts of God's word.

Now, some hardcore five-point Calvinist may argue that God did NOT CHOOSE ALL of his CHOSEN people, the JEWS, to be saved in order to try and satisfy your own personal INTERPRETATION of John 6:37. But your own personal interpretation of John 6:37  only disproves your own doctrine which says that ALL that God CHOSE will without fail be saved.

The TRUTH of the matter is that God did NOT choose certain specific individuals to be saved from BEFORE the foundation of the world. Let us take a moment and take a CLOSER look at this passage of scripture in Ephesians 1:3-6 which clearly and plainly teaches us that WHAT God CHOSE from BEFORE the foundation of the world was that God CHOSE for the SALVATION of mankind to be IN HIS SON Jesus and in no other name.

Ephesians 1:3-6.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places IN CHRIST:

4. According as he has chosen us IN HIM before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5. Having predestined us (Speaking ONLY those who are IN Jesus Christ are predestine) UNTO the ADOPTION of children BY Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,”

Can you not see that the emphasis that John Calvin himself placed on the word “US” in this passage of scripture is his OWN PERSONAL INTERPRETATION for what God supposedly CHOSE from before the foundation of the world? There is no other verse that truly supports this Calvinistic INTERPRETATION of this verse that God has supposedly chosen only certain select individuals from BEFORE the foundation of the world. But there are places in God's word that do indeed support the interpretation that God has chosen from BEFORE the foundation of the world that the salvation of mankind to be IN HIM speaking of IN his SON JESUS CHRIST.

Please read John 17:24, which clearly teaches us that WHAT God chose from BEFORE the foundation of the world was his SON, Jesus.

John 17:24.

“Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved ME BEFORE the foundation of the world.”

Also, please read 1 Peter 1:18-23, which again clearly teaches us that it was the REDEMPTION of mankind to be IN, or THROUGH, or BY his Son Jesus, and NOT that God chose only certain specific individuals to be saved from BEFORE the foundation of the world.

1 Peter 1:18-23.

“For as much as you know that you were not REDEEMED with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19. BUT WITH the precious blood of Christ, as of a LAMB without blemish and without spot:

20. WHO (Speaking of Jesus as being the REDEEMER of mankind for whosoever BELIEVES) verily (Or TRULY) was foreordained (Or CHOSEN by God) BEFORE the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

21. Who BY him (Speaking of Jesus) do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

22. Seeing you have purified your souls IN OBEYING the TRUTH through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:

23. Being born again, (HOW? How does the word of TRUTH teach us that we are born again?) not of corruptible SEED, BUT of incorruptible (Seed), BY the WORD of God, which lives and abides forever.”

It is BY the foolishness of PREACHING to save them that BELIEVE.

1 Corinthians 1:21.

“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God BY the foolishness of PREACHING to save them that BELIEVE.”

No one will be given to Jesus UNTIL they FIRST BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God who dies for THEIR sins. How can anyone ever have faith to believe if they do not hear the TRUTH of the gospel that Jesus died for THEM? Calvinism teachings UNBELIEF. In Calvinism, you can never truly KNOW that Jesus died for YOU. The best that Calvinism can offer anyone is hope that you MAY be one of the ELECT.

But in the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ found in 1 John 2:2 and in John 3:16 we can clearly see that Jesus died for ALL the sins of the WHOLE world so that WHOSOVER BELIEVES might be saved.

We read in Revelation 13:8 where the LAMB was SLAIN from the FOUNDATION of the world.

Revelation 13:8.

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the LAMB slain from the foundation of the world.”

And in Romans 16:25 we read were God kept his PLAN of SALVATION for mankind of his Son Jesus being that LAMB that would one day be slain for the sins of the whole world a SECRET from the foundation of the world or from since the world began.

Romans 16:25 from Webster’s Bible.

“Now to him that is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the MYSTERY, which has been kept SECRET since the world began,”

We also read in 1 Corinthians 2:7,8 where had Satan, the devil, and the princes of this world KNOWN this PLAN of SALVATION for mankind that God had kept HIDDEN and SECRET from the foundation of the world from THEM, then they would NOT have CRUCIFIED the Lord of glory.

“But we speak the wisdom of God in a MYSTERY, [even] the HIDDEN [wisdom] which God ordained BEFORE the world to our glory:

8. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”

Satan used the unbelieving Jews to crucify Jesus. And had those unbelieving Jews BELIEVED, then they would not have believed the lies of Satan to crucify Jesus. So then, the WHOLE word of Almighty God makes it quite evident for those who are truly seeking the TRUTH of the whole word of God that it is the “WHAT” or more precisely it is the “WAY” that mankind must be saved that God CHOSE from BEFORE the foundation of the world. I other words, WHAT God chose BEFORE the foundation of the world was the WAY that God would save mankind. And the WAY of salvation is being found IN HIM, speaking of being found that good and faithful servant IN his Son Jesus AT his coming. This is the TRUE meaning of Ephesians 1:3-6 rather than the Calvinistic interpretation that God chose US as meaning that God chose only certain specific individuals to be saved. The truth of the matter is that God chose us to be IN HIM before the foundation of the world.

Therefore, those who teach Calvinism have falsely concluded that God must have secretly chosen from before the foundation of the world to save only a few select individuals to be saved.

Again, the truth of the matter is that God CHOSE the WAY or the HOW he ordained mankind to be saved. And that WAY of salvation chosen by God before the foundation of the world is that ONLY those of mankind found to be IN Jesus Christ when they die will be given to Jesus so that God’s Son may raise them up and given them eternal life in the world to come. In other words, it will be only those who BELIEVE in Jesus who will be GIVEN to his Son Jesus AT his COMING so that his Son can raise his bride from the dead on the last day. You see Almighty God gave his Son, Jesus, both the power and the authority to raised the dead on the last day. This is God's WILL so that his SON will be honored even as the Father is honored. Let us read John 6:37 again in a much shorter context so you can see the time emphasis on when we are GIVEN to Jesus to not be cast out but rather raised up from the dead and given eternal life.

John 6:37-40.

“ALL that the Father GIVES me shall come to me; and him that COME to me I will in no wise cast out.

38. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. (So before anyone can be saved Jesus had to obey the WILL of his Father FIRST)

39. And THIS is the Father's WILL which has sent me, that of all which he HAS GIVEN me I should lose nothing, BUT should raise it up again at the last day.

40. And THIS is the WILL of him (Or and this ALSO is the WILL of him) that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, AND BELEIVES on him, may have everlasting life: AND I will raise him up at the last day.”

So then, part of the WILL of God is that in order to be saved, we MUST BELIEVE in his SON Jesus. And another part of the WILL of Almighty God the Father is to have his SON Jesus raise the dead.

Please back up to the previous chapter and read John 5:19-30.

“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily (Or Truly, truly) I say unto you, The Son can do nothing OF himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things soever he does, these also does the Son likewise.

20. For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that himself does (Or that the Father himself actually does through his Holy Spirit dwelling in his Son Jesus as the Son of man does by faith what he sees the Father do through a vision or a dream or sees from the word of God): and he (The Father) will show him (Jesus the Son of man) greater works than these, that you may marvel.

21. For (Or because) AS the Father raises up the dead, and quickens them; EVEN SO the Son quickens whom he will.

22. For the Father judges no man, but has COMMITTED ALL judgment unto the Son:

23. That (Or so that) ALL men should HONOR the Son, EVEN AS they honor the Father. He that honors not the Son honors not the Father which has sent him.

24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, AND BELIEVES on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation (Or shall not be CAST OUT on that last day when the Son shall raise the dead); but is passed from death unto life. (It is not UNTIL we are actually given eternal life AT the COMING of Jesus that the second death will have NO more power over us)

25. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming (Speaking of the day of resurrection), and now is (Speaking of this present world), WHEN the DEAD (Speaking of BOTH the spiritually dead now in this present world AND those who die physically in Jesus during this present world) shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they THAT HEAR shall live. (In other words, it is ONLY those who HEAR the voice or words of Jesus that shall be made alive from being SPIRITUALLY dead first. And if they endure unto the end to be saved they will hear the voice of Jesus calling then to eternal life from the GRAVE. In other words, ONLY those of us who are SAVED now in this present world will HEAR the voice of Jesus to be given eternal life in the world to come)

26. For AS the Father has life in himself (Which is IMMORTAL LIFE); so has he (Almighty God the Father) GIVEN to the Son to have LIFE (Or IMMORTAL LIFE) in himself;

27. AND has GIVEN him authority to execute judgment ALSO, because he is the Son of man.

28. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which ALL that are in the graves SHALL HEAR his voice, (This is speaking of the general resurrection at the END of the Millennium and NOT the FIRST resurrection before the 1000 year reign of Jesus AT to coming of Jesus to rapture the church)

29. And shall come forth; they that have done GOOD, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done EVIL, unto the resurrection of damnation.

30. I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which has sent me.”

Please keep in mind that this passage of scripture that we just read in John chapter 5 is ALSO part of the same CONTEXT of John 6:36-43. And one of the main subjects that Jesus is talking about is that Almighty God has given him the power and the authority to raise the dead on the Day of Judgment. Keep in mind that ONLY the church will be judged AT the coming of Jesus and the REST of mankind will be judged at the END of the Millennium.

Then, if you continue in this same context of John 5:26,27 we see that Jesus knows that these JEWS do not truly love God. Jesus says that they will not come to him and BELIEVE in him so that they can have eternal life in the world to come.

Please read John 5:36-

“But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father has given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father has sent me.

37. And the Father himself, which has sent me, has borne witness of me. You have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

38. And you have NOT his WORD abiding in you: for (Or because) whom he has sent, him you BELIEVE NOT. (Or you BELIEVE NOT, because you do NOT have God's word ABIDING IN you)

39. Search the scriptures; for in them you THINK you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

40. And you will NOT COME to me, that you might have life. (WHY? Why will they NOT COME to Jesus? Because they do NOT BELIEVE that God sent him so that they might have eternal life. The Father will only GIVE those who BELIEVE on his Son Jesus, to his SON, on the last day to be raised up by his Son and then be given eternal life to them by his Son. This authority has been given to Jesus by his God and Father so that mankind will honor the Son even as they honor the Father.)

41. I receive not honor from men.

42. But I know you, that you have not the love of God in you.

43. I am come in my Father's name, and you receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him you will receive.”

Just as a side note, when I read this I thought of Muhammad and those who follow Muhammad's teachings and how Muslims do not believe in Jesus, as the SON of Almighty God, who died for their sins but they believe in another who came in his own name.

Now let us go back to John 46:37-40 and tie it together with John 6:44,45 by taking a look at what will take place AT the second coming of Jesus which is WHEN we are actually GIVEN to Jesus and the second death will have no more power over us.

Let us read John 6:37-40 once again and take a look at the meanings of some words like I said I would earlier on in this study.

John 6:37-40.

“ALL that the Father GIVES me shall come to me; and him that COME to me I will in no wise cast out. (I will discuss these four things further on in this study of God's word. Now is the time that I want you to consider the meaning of the word “COME” while considering the context of the resurrection at the last day.)

38. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39. And THIS is the Father's WILL which has sent me, that of all which he HAS GIVEN me I should lose nothing, BUT should raise it up again at the last day.

40. And THIS is the WILL of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, AND BELIEVES on him, may have everlasting life: AND I will raise him up at the last day.”

The word “COME” here is translated from the Greek word “heko” and means to come to be present with, to be present, to arrive, or to come. This Greek word also conveys the meaning of TIME and EVENTS. This very same Greek word is used in Matthew 24:14 when speaking of THEN shall the END COME, as in, a certain point in TIME.

Matthew 24:14.

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and THEN shall the end COME.”

So then, in the light of the context of the RESURRECTION, to me, this is the TIME that ONLY true faithful BELIEVERS come to be PRESENT with Jesus. Therefore, this is WHEN the Father GIVES all those who BELIEVE in Jesus, to come and be PRESENT with Jesus and Jesus will in no way cast them out, because they have overcome the enemy and have not defiled their garments with sin. They are given eternal life and the second death has no power over them.

Now, let us take a look at this phrase of being “CAST OUT”. Please remember that Jesus is not talking to God's CHOSEN people the JEWS that will NOT BELIEVE in Jesus. And because of their UNBELIEF, they will NOT COME to Jesus to be saved. So, in this context of those who will in no way be cast out, let us now take a look at WHO will be CAST OUT. And let us also look to see WHEN they will be CAST OUT. Please read Matthew 8:5-12 where we see commending a Roman Centurion for his great faith that Jesus has never seen the like in all of Israel.

Matthew 8:5-12.

“And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

6. And saying, Lord, my servant lies at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

7. And Jesus said unto him, I will come and heal him.

8. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

9. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.

10. When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to THEM that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, NOT in Israel.

11. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, IN the kingdom of heaven.

12. BUT the children OF the kingdom shall be CAST OUT into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

I want you to think about this for a while. Jesus said MANY shall come and SIT DOWN with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob IN the kingdom of HEAVEN, which is speaking of ONLY those who have BELIEVED in Jesus Christ as the MESSIAH sent from God. Now some of you may be thinking that how can this be because Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had already died before Jesus ever came. But please keep in mind that they BELIEVED in the PROMISES of the coming of the Messiah. Also, some Christians have not been made aware that Jesus went into the lower parts of the earth for three days and three nights and PREACHED the GOSPEL to the SPIRITS of these Old Testament saints and the ascended into heaven when Jesus ascended into heaven with Jesus right after they arose from the grave. Please read the study “WHAT AND WHERE IS PARADISE?” for all the scriptures that teach this truth, but for now, I want you to see that the CHILDREN of the kingdom, speaking of God's CHOSEN people, the JEWS, were CAST OUT into outer darkness.

Now some of you may be thinking how can that be? The Jews are God's CHOSEN people. God would never cast out his OWN people that he himself CHOSE, so how can this be?

The reason that some of you may be having trouble to see what Jesus is saying to the JEWS and to all the GENTILES who do NOT BELIEVE that he is the one sent by Almighty God to die for the sins of the WHOLE world is the difference between the old covenant and the NEW COVENANT. The Jews were under the old covenant. And ONLY the Jews who BELIEVE in the NEW COVENANT will be saved. It is only THEY, the NON-believers, who will be CAST OUT into OUTER DARKNESS. ONLY those who are found to be in UNBELIEF in this present world before the coming of Jesus will NOT be allowed into the CITY of God. For you see, they made their own CHOICE NOT to BELIEVE on Jesus before his coming again.

Now ask yourself the question as to WHEN all of this will take place? In other words, the whole CONTEXT of John 6:37-45 is teaching us about the SECOND coming of Jesus when God will deal with his CHOSEN people a SECOND TIME. Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ that in this entire passage of scripture, in John chapter 6, that Jesus is speaking to the JEWS who he knew would, for the most part, reject him? Jesus was saying to God's CHOSEN people, the JEWS, that because you do NOT BELIEVE that I am the Messiah, that is prophesied in the scriptures, then you will be CAST OUT into outer darkness and will NOT be allowed to enter into the CITY of God until you have LEARNED of the Lord during the 1000 years that I will reign over the earth in my Father's kingdom. So then, the outer darkness in this context is NOT the lake of fire, but rather the outer darkness in the old earth while it is being restored during this 1000 years. What some Christians have not discerned, as yet, is that the PEOPLE who will be living in their MORTAL bodies during the Millennium will be doing a great deal of the WORK of cleaning up the mess that has been made after the war of Armageddon. So, if you would like to take an EARLY RETIREMENT, so to speak, and enter into REST during this thousand-year reign of Jesus, then you must BELIEVE on Jesus NOW in this present world before you die. 

Please do not misunderstand what I am saying here. Jesus is speaking only of those Jews and Gentiles who have not accepted him as their savior BEFORE his coming, but who do repent and call on his name when they SEE him coming in clouds of glory. It will be too late for them to receive eternal life at the second coming of Jesus. But since they repented, then God will save them ALIVE to go into the Millennium in their MORTAL bodies to be TAUGHT of the Lord.

With all that being said, I believe that at least some of you are ready to see how these following verses tie in with the previous verses in the light of the SECOND coming of Jesus and the 1000 year reign of Jesus. Please read John 6:44,45, which is another highly controversial verse that is used by those who teach Calvinism to dogmatically demand that it means that the Father DRAWS only the ELECT with such an IRRESISTIBLE grace so that each and every one of the so-called ELECT will, without fail, be saved and therefore they can never lose their salvation no matter what, because it is God's WILL that NONE should perish. I will share more on this false assumption that since it is God's WILL, then it is ASSUMED that whatever PLEASES God will be done without fail.

Therefore, some Christians FALSELY conclude one of two things based upon this FALSE assumption that God's WILL shall be accomplished without fail. One such FALSE conclusion that is drawn is that Jesus must have not died for ALL of mankind, because ALL of mankind is not going to be saved. Therefore, these Christians FALSELY reason that Jesus must have died for ONLY certain select individuals that God must have secretly chosen from BEFORE the foundation of the world. The other FALSE conclusion made by other Christians is that ALL of mankind will eventually be saved in the end because Jesus died for the sins of ALL of mankind, and it is the WILL of God for ALL men to be saved. 

Well, NEITHER of these teachings are sound Biblical teachings because they do NOT AGREE with the WHOLE word of God. Again more on this later, but for now, I want you to see how these two passages of scripture in John chapter 6 tie together in the light of the SECOND coming of Jesus, the first resurrection of only the dead in Jesus Christ and the 1000 year reign of Jesus. Please read John 6:44,45, which is another highly controversial passage of scripture that is used to TRY and prove that Calvinism is Biblical.

John 6:44,45.

“ No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (Remember the words of Jesus when he said I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE and NO man comes unto the Father but by me. The Bible teaches us that Jesus is the ONLY name under heaven WHEREBY we ALL MUST BE SAVED. In other words, there is NO OTHER WAY to be RESURRECTED in the FIRST resurrection. There is no other way to be RAPTURED. And to be raptured is be DRAWN to meet Jesus in the air and so shall they ever be with the Lord and forever saved from the second death. And there is NO other way for those who do not partake in the FIRST resurrection to be saved other than for men to be TAUGHT of God during the 1000 year reign of Jesus and truly LEARN of the Father and then they too will be granted the right of eternal life and come to live in the presence of Jesus and Almighty God for all eternity)

45. It is WRITTEN in the prophets, (so then, WHERE is it WRITTEN in the prophets and WHAT is the CONTEXT that the prophets are PROPHESYING about? This is another KEY to properly understand the true meaning of this entire passage of scripture and these highly controversial verses when they are LEFT in their CONTEXT.) And THEY (who are the THEY that the PROPHETS are prophesying about?) shall (In the future during the Millennium THEY shall) be ALL TAUGHT of God. Every man therefore that has heard, AND has LEARNED of the Father (You see there is a BIG difference from just hearing about God than there is from hearing AND LEARNING of the Father. So then, it is only those who TRULY LEARN of the Father who), comes unto me. (Or will be granted eternal life at the end of the 1000 year reign of Jesus in order to come into the city of God and live in the presence of Jesus and Almighty God the Father)”

The UNBELIEVING Jews will be CAST OUT into outer darkness. ONLY those found to be faithful IN Jesus Christ will be given eternal life and the right to enter into the city of God to rule and reign with Jesus over the mortals left alive after the wrath of God. It is DURING the Millennium that we shall TEACH ALL of the remaining of mankind about God and his Son Jesus. Can you not see that not ALL of mankind is being TAUGHT of God in this present world?

Now the Greek word that is translated as “COME” in verse 44 is the Greek word “elthein” or “eltho” depending on what source you are referencing. It is Strong's #2064, which has three different Greeks words that have different meanings. It is the same Strong's #2064 that is used in verse 45 as well for the word that is translated to the English word “COME” also. However, in the original Greek, the Greek word in verse 45 that is translated as “COME” is the Greek word “erchetai” or “erchomai” again depending on which source you are researching. In other words, in both verse 44, and verse 45 that the English word “COME” is translated from the same ROOT Greek word but because of the tense, they have DIFFERENT meanings. Yes, they have the same Strong's number 2064, but if you go to an interlinear Bible you will find that they are NOT the same exact tense of the root Greek word.

So then, with that being said, the Greek word in verse 44 means a present act to be coming and carries the meaning of which do not otherwise occur. So what does that mean? Well, in the light of the context and what we have just learned about the second coming of Jesus and how ONLY those who BELIEVE in Jesus will be caught up or DRAWN to be with Jesus in the air and in NO WAY will be CAST OUT, and then, how the children of the kingdom the Jews will be CAST OUT into outer darkness in order to hear and LEARN of the Lord during the 1000 year reign of Jesus who at that TIME, in the FUTURE, will COME to Jesus as in they will at that TIME be presently LEARNING of the Lord and SHALL be coming to Jesus. In other words, the Greek word in verse 45 means IS COMING. The Greek word in verse 44 also means appear, go, as in go to or to go toward, to bring, as in the Father will bring us up into the air to be with Jesus, to ENTER, as in ONLY those who believe on Jesus will ENTER into the CITY of God to rule and reign WITH Jesus for a 1000 years. While on the other hand, the children of the kingdom, God's CHOSEN people, the Jews, will be CAST OUT into outer darkness outside the city of God where they will be TAUGHT of the Lord during this 1000 year reign of Jesus. This Greek word in verse 44 also means ACCOMPANY.

So then, in the LIGHT of the different meanings of the tense of the root Greek word that are TRANSLATED into the same English word “COME”, and ALSO in the LIGHT of the entire CONTEXT where we clearly see the resurrection which takes place at the SECOND coming of Jesus AND at the END of the 1000 year reign, it is my opinion that these verses in John 6:37-44 clearly do NOT support the false teaching of Calvinism. Nor do they support the false teaching of Universalism.

But rather, Jesus is speaking to the JEWS and how ONLY those who BELIEVE shall inherit eternal life when Jesus returns to deal a SECOND TIME with God's CHOSEN people the JEWS during the Millennium where those who go into this 1000 year reign of Jesus, in their MORTAL bodies, will be TAUGHT of the Lord. And if they LEARN, as in, TRULY LEARN of the Lord and BELIEVE in the way that produces good works of RIGHTEOUSNESS, then they too shall inherit eternal life at the end of the 1000 year reign of Jesus. But if NOT, then the rebellious non-believers will be cast into the lake of fire with all the other wicked from the time of Adam to be destroyed with eternal destruction never to rise again.

For those of you who have been taught the false doctrine of Universalism, please take note that Satan will be loosed once again at the end of this 1000 year reign and he will DECEIVE the nations one last time to rebel against God. It is at this time that fire shall come down from heaven and destroy the wicked. Then the second and ONLY other resurrection will take place. It is in this resurrection, that occurs on the last day, where BOTH the righteous and the wicked shall be raised.

Now, the RIGHTEOUS are only those who have LEARNED and produced good works of righteousness DURING the 1000 years who DIED DURING this 1000 year reign of Jesus. In other words, the righteous who were raised in the FIRST resurrection, BEFORE the 1000 year reign, would have already received their IMMORTAL bodies, so it should be clear that they do NOT DIE during the Millennium.

But the WICKED who are raised on this last day or in this second and final resurrection, when ALL the REST of the dead are raised, will be the wicked all the way back from the time of Adam all the way through to the end of this final war at the end of the 1000 years.

Now the righteous who LEARNED of the Lord DURING the 1000 year reign of Jesus will be judged according to their WORKS of righteousness and be granted the right to eat of the tree of life because they have been found WORTHY.

But ALL the WICKED from Adam to the end of that final war shall be judged according to their works of wickedness and they will be found NOT worthy to inherit eternal life and therefore ALL the WICKED will be cast into the lake of fire to be DESTROYED with everlasting destruction and they shall never rise again. The wicked shall be no more. You can read the studies that I have on the subject of the rapture of the church and the second coming of Jesus for all the verses that clearly teach what I just said, but for now, we are studying the false teaching of Calvinism.

So let us now read John 6:45, which clearly teaches us that ONLY those who truly LEARN of the Lord will come to Jesus. Again the CONTEXT teaches us that Jesus is speaking to the JEWS that will be cast out into outer darkness and who will not take part in the FIRST resurrection, at the second coming of Jesus, so that they can inherit eternal life and reign WITH Jesus for 1000 years. But instead, all those who do NOT BELIEVE on Jesus, when he comes again to deal a SECOND TIME with God's CHOSEN people the JEWS, then they will be CAST OUT into outer darkness to be TAUGHT of the Lord. And IF SO BE that they LEARN of the Lord, and do NOT REBEL, then they shall inherit eternal life at the end of the thousand year reign of Jesus.

John 6:45.

“ It is WRITTEN in the prophets, (So then, WHERE is it WRITTEN in the prophets and WHAT is the CONTEXT that the prophets are PROPHESYING about? This is another KEY to properly understand the true meaning of this entire passage of scripture and these highly controversial verses when they are LEFT in their CONTEXT.) And THEY (Who are the THEY that the PROPHETS are prophesying about?) shall (In the future DURING the Millennium THEY shall) be ALL TAUGHT of God. Every man therefore that has heard, AND has LEARNED of the Father (You see there is a BIG difference from just hearing about God than there is from hearing AND LEARNING of the Father. So then, it is only those who TRULY LEARN of the Father who), comes unto me. (Or will be granted eternal life at the end of the 1000 year reign of Jesus in order to come into the city of God and JOIN with the rest of the saints, who were raised at the FIRST resurrection, at the second coming of Jesus, before the 1000 year reign where we will all live in the presence of Jesus and Almighty God the Father)”

Now the where in the Old Testament that Jesus is referencing is Isaiah 54:13.

“And all your children shall be TAUGHT of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of your children.”

Micah 4:1-3.

“But in the last days (Referring to the 1000 year reign of Jesus) it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

2. And many nations (Speaking of non-Jews as well as the Jew also) shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will TEACH us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

3. And he (Jesus) shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”

It will be DURING the Millennium that the REMNANT of Israel and those left alive of the nation will be TAUGHT to NOT make war anymore.

Isaiah 2:2-4.

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

3. And many people shall go and say, Come you, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will TEACH us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

4. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they LEARN war anymore.”

Isaiah 26:9.

“With my soul have I desired you in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek you early: for WHEN your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will LEARN righteousness.”

So then, the TIME in which Jesus is speaking of in John 6:37-45, is the Millennium in which the children of the kingdom, the CHOSEN people of God and the nations of the world who did not accept Jesus before his coming, but who are yet alive at the second coming of Jesus and repent, when they see him coming shall be saved alive and go into the Millennium in their MORTAL bodies and will be TAUGHT of the Lord during the Millennium. They will be CAST OUT into outer darkness and NOT be allowed to enter the CITY of God when the Father and the Lamb is the LIGHT and there is no darkness.

And ONLY those who have and are BELIEVING on Jesus shall be GIVEN and DRAWN up to be WITH Jesus at the time of his second coming and so shall they ever be with the Lord and in no way shall ever be CAST OUT of the CITY of God wherein is NO darkness.

Now some of you who have been TAUGHT by your specific denomination that this passage of scripture means without fail that Jesus died ONLY for the ELECT, and you are sold out to the core that Calvinism is true, then what I have just shown you to be the truth of the whole word of God will no doubt be a HARD message to hear. The first time any of us hear anything different, than what we have been TAUGHT all our lives, it is HARD to receive as being true at first. This is why God's word teaches us that we must renew our minds. I know that it is HARD to lay aside what we have been TAUGHT all our lives, but this is what you must do in order to come to the knowledge of the truth.

These Jews had been taught the Law of Moses all their life, and now Jesus was telling them a KNEW thing. Jesus was telling them from now on, after the Son of man is lifted up, the ONLY way to the Father and to inherit ETERNAL LIFE is BELIEVING that I am HE whom Almighty God the Father has chosen and raised up to be the savior of the world. I am HE which the scriptures have prophesied of coming. I am the bread of LIFE. And NO one can come to the Father except by BELIEVING that I am HE that was sent by God to die for YOUR sins. That means YOU, whosoever you may be, that are reading this study in God's word. This is what the CONTEXT of John 6:37-45 is teaching us. We must BELIEVE on Jesus FIRST and then we are BORN AGAIN or regenerated by the Holy Spirit to become a new creation IN Jesus Christ. Please read 1 Peter 1:23, which clearly teaches us that we are born again BY the WORD of God.

1 Peter 1:23.

“Being born again, NOT of corruptible seed, BUT of incorruptible, BY the WORD of God, which lives and abides forever.”

Also, please read Ephesians 1:13, which clearly and plainly teaches us that it is AFTER we have heard the WORD of God that we BELIEVE or TRUST in Jesus Christ. And it is only AFTER we BELIEVE that we are SEALED with the Holy Spirit and given WITNESS in our inner man that we indeed have been adopted as the children of God and have the promise of eternal life abiding in us.

Ephesians 1:13.

“In whom you also TRUSTED (or BELIEVED), AFTER that you HEARD the WORD of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also AFTER that you BELIEVED, you were SEALED with that holy Spirit of promise,”

Now if you were taught Calvinism, but you are beginning to see that this doctrine has many contradictions with the word of God, then I want to encourage you to keep on seeking the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of God. And I also want to assure you that the doctrine or the teaching of Calvinism, Reformed Theology, and splinter groups like New Covenant Theology are NOT sound BIBLICAL teachings based upon the WHOLE word of Almighty God. These groups of believers dogmatically demand that their INTERPRETATION of scripture is the ONLY WAY that the verse they use to TRY and prove their man-made doctrine can be interpreted. This forced teaching, that their view has to be the ONLY way, then leads people to FALSELY assume that they must be correct if they say there is NO OTHER WAY to interpret these verses.

But this is simply NOT the case. As I have said many times, any verse when taken OUT of CONTEXT and viewed ALONE and APART from the rest of God's word may SEEM or may be FORCED to say something that it is NOT TRULY saying. So I encourage all my readers to read the CONTEXT and compare whatever interpretation that is conclude with the rest of God's word to see if there are any contradictions. Also, interpret the more unclear verses in the light of the far clearer verses. And in almost every case, interpret the Old Testament verses in the light of the NEW Testament verses.

Again, I want to assure you that there are other ways to interpret all the verses used by Calvinism to try and support their own personal conclusions that Jesus did not die for the sins for the whole world, but rather that Jesus died for only the elect. To the mind of those who teach Calvinism, this is the ONLY way for THEM to reconcile those verses that SEEM to contradict God's word. But again I assure you that all the verses used to teach Calvinism can be interpreted another way, which does NOT contradict any other part of God's word.

Most every Christian, no matter what denomination they are attending, has been taught that God's word does NOT contradict itself. I believe this to be true myself. I believe that it is only the INTERPRETATION that is concluded by man, concerning certain verses of scripture, that is the actual contradiction and NOT that the very word of God itself which only SEEMS to contradict itself.

Now, to be fair most every church I have ever attended, no matter what the denomination, pretty much dogmatically demands that THEIR interpretations of God's word is right and all other interpretations by everyone else are wrong. So again, in all fairness, I am not just singling out Calvinism when I say that those who teach false doctrine leave little to no room to remain to be teachable.

Please do not misunderstand what I am saying. I am not saying that those being TAUGHT these errors of interpretation of God's word BY their denomination leave little to no room to remain teachable, but rather I am speaking of the preachers and teachers themselves who have gone to denominational Bible college to get a degree or be ordained a minister in their own particular denomination, who are the ones that become almost unteachable. So, to those of you who have come to this site just to argue and debate your doctrine you have come to the wrong place. But if you have come to hear and truly LISTEN to ALL the evidence from both sides of the controversy and you are truly seeking the truth of the whole word of God, then may God bless you richly as you continue to seek the truth of God's word.

I would like to add another point that those who teach Calvinism bring up quite often, which is that the word “ALL” does not always mean ALL, as in, each and every one. So then, how can you be sure that ALL the Father gives to Jesus will be ALL, as in, each and every elect shall be given to Jesus? Just thought I would throw that in there, because ALL seems to mean ALL when it supports your own personal interpretation of the scripture, but when Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, then according to those who teach Calvinism, suddenly the word ALL no longer means ALL, because then their whole theology crumbles and falls. Please read the study called “EXAMINING CALVINISM IN THE LIGHT OF GOD'S WORD” for a closer look at the five points of Calvinism and how if just one of these points contradicts the whole word of God, then all the other points fall right along with it, because each point of doctrine relies on the other points being true.

Now back to the definition of the words in John chapter 6 verses 37 and 44.

“37. ALL that the Father GIVES me shall come to me; and him that COME to me I will in no wise cast out….

...44. No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (Remember the words of Jesus when he said I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE and NO man comes unto the Father but by me. The Bible teaches us that Jesus is the ONLY name under heaven WHEREBY we ALL MUST BE SAVED. In other words, there is NO OTHER WAY to be RESURRECTED in the FIRST resurrection; to be DRAWN to meet Jesus in the air and so shall ever be with the Lord and forever saved from the second death. And there is NO other way for those who do not partake in the FIRST resurrection to be saved other than for men to be TAUGHT of God during the 1000 year reign of Jesus and truly LEARN of the Father and then they too will be granted the right of eternal life and come to live in the presence of Jesus and Almighty God for all eternity)”

Again, we already looked at the word “COME” in verse 44 and verse 45. And we looked at the word taught and learned that this was speaking of being taught during the Millennium. So the only word we have not looked at yet is the word “DRAW”.

John 6:44.

“No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me DRAW him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Now I have heard the argument made by those that teach Calvinism that the Greek word here translated as DRAW does NOT mean the “GENTLE DRAWING or leading of the Holy Spirit, but rather means a more FORCEFUL dragging to Jesus.

When I first heard this I thought to myself, just how far will Christians go to try and prove their own private interpretation of a verse of scripture. Then I looked this word up and found that this word does indeed mean a more forceful drawing, than what most Christians teach about the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit as being GENTLE and never FORCING anyone to believe.

So, for a while, I had to lay this verse aside so I could pray and think on it some more. I admit that whenever I viewed this verse ALONE all I could see was the Calvinistic point of view. But in the LIGHT of all the other verses, I knew that this could not be the case. I knew I needed to pray and study this verse some more.

I was not satisfied with some of the other commentaries that I read. And I certainly was not convinced of the Calvinistic interpretation, so I prayed some more and began reading all of the CONTEXT and my eyes were opened for the first time to see that Jesus was talking to the JEWS about the resurrection on the last day. I saw for the first time that this drawing was speaking of the RAPTURE of the church where we will be SNATCHED UP out of harm's way of the WRATH of God. It was then that this word DRAW came to my remembrance and I thought about the RAPTURE of the church of being CAUGHT UP or DRAWN UP to be present with Jesus.

This word “DRAW” is translated from the Greek word “helko”, which means to drag, but it differs from the Greek word “suro” which means to violently drag or drag with violent force. Those that argue for the side of Calvinism often bring up the argument that this is the SAME Greek word used to the drawing or the dragging of the nets that were full to the point of breaking.

So then, in the light of this argument made by those who teach Calvinism this word “DRAW” in verse 44 is very much like DRAWING in a great HARVEST of fish. Did not Jesus say that he would make his disciple fishers of men? The net was so full that it was starting to break and the multitude in heaven is so great that no man could number them. Now for those of you who may like to go deeper on this point of the net and fish being compared to the harvest of the righteous, I read a book by James Harrison called The Pattern & the Prophecy God's Great Code. He brings out is his book a great deal about numbers. And he explains how exactly one-third of all numbers are funneled through a mathematical net to come to the number 153, which is the exact number of fish that were caught in this net and dragged to shore. If you like numbers, and how God's word is full of numbers, then you may like this book, if it is still in print.

Just a couple more points in closing. First, those who teach Calvinism sincerely believe, with all their heart, that Jesus must have not died for all of mankind, because they know that all men will NOT be saved and it is God's WILL to save all men.

Now I know that for some of you it will not do any good right now to say that God's WILL is NOT always done because to you this would mean that God is a failure and God most certainly will never fail in anything. And I agree that God never fails, but the Greek word that is translated as God's WILL be done in earth as it is in heaven is “thelema” and is Strong's #2307. And the Greek word that is translated as God is NOT “WILLING” that any man should perish is “boulomia” and is Strong's #1014. Now while both of these words do mean desire they do not mean the desire of WILL in the same way. The word “WILLING” in 2 Peter 3:9 carries the meaning of INTENDING.

2 Peter 3:9.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

In other words, God's INTENT is to save all of mankind. This is what God DESIRES. And this is what would PLEASE God the most, but this Greek word “boulomia” used in 2 Peter 3:9 is not as strong a word as the Greek word “thelema” used for God's WILL being done in earth as it is in heaven. Here is Matthew 6:9,10 where Jesus is giving us an example of how we should PRAY.

Matthew 6:9,10.

“After this manner therefore PRAY you: Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be your name.

10. Your kingdom COME. Your WILL be DONE in earth, as it is in heaven.”

But even while this Greek word translated as WILL is stronger than in 2 Peter 3:9 it still does not mean that God's entire WILL is going to be accomplished in earth as it is in heaven for ALL of mankind. This is WHY Jesus taught us to PRAY for God's WILL to be done IN earth. Now, it is interesting to me, to note that the word says IN earth and not ON the earth. This could mean that since mankind was made from earth and is an earthen vessel that Jesus meant also that we are to PRAY for God's WILL to be done IN US.

Again, WHY would Jesus teach us to PRAY for God's WILL to be DONE if every jot and tittle of God's will, desire, and good pleasure will, without fail, be done whether we PRAY or not?

Well, the obvious reason to me is that in many instances God's will, desire, and good pleasure, can NOT be done as he has INTENDED it to be done, because of UNBELIEF. In other words, God has given each and every person a WILL of their OWN to CHOOSE whether or not to BELIEVE or reject the gospel of Jesus Christ.

For example, we are taught in Ezekiel that God takes NO PLEASURE in the death of the wicked. Well if the death of the wicked does NOT PLEASE God, then most certainly it is NOT God's WILL for the wicked to PERISH or be cast into the lake of fire to be destroyed, which is the second DEATH.

Now the wicked here does NOT mean ONLY the wicked of the ELECT, because most certainly the whole word of God clearly teaches us that ALL the wicked will be DESTROYED in the lake of fire. This is WHY we are to PRAY for God's WILL to be DONE.

Lastly, I want you, who believe and teach Calvinism who dogmatically maintain that Jesus did NOT die for the sins of the WHOLE world, but rather demand that Jesus died ONLY for the so-called ELECT, to consider closely John 3:16-20.

IF the doctrine of election were true and only the elect is called and drawn with irresistible grace and Jesus died only for the elect and not for the sins whole world, then John 3:16-20 would then be speaking ONLY to the ELECT and NOT to every person in the whole world. So then, according to Calvinism this passage of scripture should read like this.

The Calvinistic reading of John 3:16-20.

“For God so loved the ELECT, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever of the ELECT believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17. For God sent not his Son unto the ELECT to condemn the ELECT; but that the ELECT through him might be saved.

18. He of you of the ELECT that believes on him is not condemned: BUT he of you of the ELECT that BELIEVES NOT is condemned already, because he of you of the ELECT has NOT BELIEVED in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19. And this is the condemnation, that light is come unto the ELECT, and men of the ELECT loved darkness rather than light, because the deeds of the ELECT were evil.

20. For every one of the ELECT that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest the deeds of the ELECT should be reproved.”

Now those of you who believe and teach Calvinism, IF you are honest with yourself, then you should be able to clearly see that Jesus did indeed die for the sins of the WHOLE world and NOT just for the sins of the so-called ELECT by honestly considering just this one passage of scripture. I mean IF Jesus died ONLY for the ELECT and according to Calvinism ALL of the ELECT will be saved, then John 3:16 could not possibly be speaking of ONLY the ELECT because those of the ELECT who do NOT BELIEVE shall PERISH.

Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, that IF it is true that Jesus did NOT die for the sins of the whole world, then Jesus must have died for ONLY the ELECT, as Calvinist Christians falsely conclude because most certainly all of mankind is NOT going to BELIEVE on Jesus and be saved? Therefore, this passage of scripture in John 3:16-20, according to the teaching of Calvinism, cannot be speaking of every human being in the whole world, but rather ONLY to the ELECT. So, according to Calvinism, we must substitute all the references to the WORLD to refer to ONLY to the ELECT, because YOU who teach Calvinism are the ones demanding that Jesus died for ONLY the ELECT.

But as you have just seen this does NOT work, because the doctrine of Calvinism also falsely teaches that each and every one of the so-called ELECT will, without fail, be saved and therefore no true believer, who you say are only the elect, cannot ever lose their salvation, BUT John 3:16-20 clearly and plainly teaches us that NOT ALL of the WHOSOEVER will BELIEVE.

Therefore, IF the WHOSOEVER does NOT refer to ALL of mankind and refers ONLY to the so-called ELECT, as those who teach Calvinism dogmatically argue, then those of the so-called ELECT, who do NOT BELIEVE, shall PERISH according to John 3:16-20 and YOUR INTERPRETATION of this passage of scripture, referring to ONLY the ELECT, which consequently means that NOT ALL of the so-called ELECT will be saved, because SOME of the WHOSOEVER that you demand refers ONLY to the so-called ELECT will NOT BELIEVE and therefore some of the ELECT will PERISH.

And thus, all of the teachings of Calvinism falls because you demand that Jesus did NOT die for the sins of the whole world. Therefore, since Calvinism is proven to be a FALSE teaching you must reject and conclude that Jesus did indeed die for the sins of the WHOLE word and the WHOSOEVER in John 3:16-20 does, without fail, refer to WHOSOEVER in all the WORLD, because clearly those WHOSOEVER'S of all the WORLD, who make the CHOICE to reject the gospel of Jesus Christ and NOT BELIEVE, shall PERISH. We also know without a doubt that Jesus died for the sins of the WHOLE world from verses like John 2:2, where we are clearly and plainly taught that Jesus died to make ATONEMENT for sins of the WHOLE world and NOT just for our sins ONLY.

1 John 2:2.

“And he (Jesus) is the propitiation (or the ATONEMENT or Jesus DIED as a sacrifice) for our sins: and NOT for ours ONLY, but ALSO for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD.”

So then, WHY do some TRY and explain away these clear, plain, and simple verses, rather than taking a CLOSER look at the INTERPRETATIONS that have been dogmatically placed on these more obscure verses used by those to try and support the false teaching of Calvinism, which falsely teaches that Jesus did NOT die for the sins of the WHOLE world? And thereby, they are unknowingly DENYING that Jesus BOUGHT them because they also teach that ONLY God KNOWS whom he has chosen from before the foundation of the world. So if ONLY God knows whom he has supposedly chosen from before the foundation of the world, then NO man can truly know, without a doubt, that they are one of the lucky so-called elect. They simply cannot be because they have not the sure word of prophecy to base their faith upon.

Please read 2 Peter 2:1,2.

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be FALSE teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even DENYING the Lord that BOUGHT them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. (By falsely teaching that Jesus did NOT purchase the salvation for all of mankind you DENY that Jesus died for YOU because you can never know for SURE that you are one of the so-called ELECT. You may THINK that you are and you may sincerely believe that you are, but what verse in the Bible proves that you are one of the so-called ELECT. You cannot possibly know for sure, because you dogmatically demand that Jesus did not die for ALL of mankind.)

2. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of (Or and because of these FALSE teachers denying that Jesus did not die for all of mankind, the TRUTH is made to appear to be EVIL to those in the world who are hearing their FALSE teaching).”

Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, how this FALSE teaching that Jesus did NOT die for the sins of the WHOLE world makes the TRUTH to APPEAR to be evil to the WORLD. This FALSE doctrine of Calvinism makes God appear to be EVIL in the eyes of the world, because how could a loving God create the majority of mankind just so he can destroy them in the lake of fire on the Day of Judgment? Even the mere fact that the wicked are judged appears to be evil in the eyes of the world because how can someone be judged and then punished with everlasting destruction for something that they had absolutely no choice in the matter?

According to Calvinism, the wicked are PREDESTINED to be wicked and there is nothing they can do to be saved because they were NOT chosen to be saved. So, how do YOU, who believe and teach Calvinism KNOW with absolute certainty that YOU are one of the so-called ELECT seeing that ONLY God knows who he has supposedly chosen from before the foundation of the world? The truth of the matter is that you cannot KNOW if Calvinism is true.

However, you can know for sure if you believe the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ, which is that Jesus did indeed die for YOU because the word of TRUTH clearly teaches us that Jesus died not ONLY for our sins by ALSO for the sins of the WHOLE world. The TRUE meaning of elect is that we BECOME one of the elect WHEN we BELIEVE in Jesus as the atonement for or sins.

Please read the study “HOW CAN I BE SAVED?” if you are in doubt. It would seem that Christians who believe in Calvinism do NOT know the DIFFERENCE between being initially saved by faith and the actual RECEIVING of eternal life in the world to come by OBEYING the moral commandments of God.
