Y-9. DID OUR SOULS PREEXIST in HEAVEN?

What I mean by the question, did our souls preexist in heaven is that it is believed by some Christians that every human being already existed as a spirit being or as a spirit child of God BEFORE we, as in, our spirit, was sent to the earth to dwell in a human body.

Now there are no less than two church denominations that at least I myself have been made aware of that teach that every person on the earth already preexisted in heaven as a spirit being who was then sent to the earth to be born in the FLESH.

One group that believes and teaches that all human beings preexisted and are spirit children of God is the Mormons of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.

And the other group is of the World Mission Society Church of God.

Both groups believe in a Mother God. I will not be covering what and why the Mormons teach and how they have come to believe what they teach in this particular study in God’s word. I cover what the Mormons believe and teach in the study “IS MORMONISM THE ONE TRUE CHURCH?”  Please correct me if I am wrong but I am not aware that the Mormons teach their followers that they MUST believe in a MOTHER God in order to be SAVED.

However, the latter group of the World Mission Society Church of God believes and teaches that if Christians do NOT believe in Mother God as being the ONE who will give them eternal life, then they CANNOT be saved.  So the focus of this study is to expose the errors of their INTERPRETATION of the Scriptures which they twist in order to try and prove that there is a MOTHER God. So then, even thou I will not be specifically addressing the Mormons in this study you can still use the knowledge from this study to also refute Mormonism because they both wrongly teach that there is a mother God.

They say, that is to say, according to the World Mission Society Church of God, we, as Christians, are NOW in a NEW age that they call the AGE of the Holy Spirit. Please read the study “WHAT IS THE AGE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?” but for now just let me explain briefly what the age of the Holy Spirit means to them.

They say that since God is a Trinity that is made up of three different and separate persons in one God that each person of the Trinity has a separate and different age. They claim that the age of God the Father was the Old Testament, and the age of God the Son was from the virgin birth to when Jesus RETURNED in the FLESH in 1948 in the person of the Holy Spirit to preach of the NEW AGE of the Holy Spirit which is that last age before the eternal age.

Now they believe and teach that every Christian from the early church all the way to the RETURN of Christ in the FLESH in 1948 is saved and in heaven. But NOW from 1948 forward is this NEW AGE of the Holy Spirit. And thus, to them, all Christians must now believe in Mother God in order to receive the water of LIFE which they say means ETERNAL LIFE in the world to come which to them is the ETERNAL world of the NEW heavens and the NEW earth. Again, please read the study “WHAT IS THE AGE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?” for what the Bible ITSELF teaches us based on the WHOLE word of Almighty God because without a new age of the Holy Spirit their whole doctrine crumbles and falls apart.

But for now, let us get back to the study at hand to see WHY some Christians teach that there MUST be a Mother God in order for there to be children of God. Just to make sure that I do not misquote or incorrectly present what the World Mission Society Church of God teaches, I will copy and paste their words for you to read and then show you how their leaders have errored in interpreting the scriptures that they use to try and prove that we all preexisted as spirit children in heaven before God sent us to the earth to be born of FLESH. I will place their words in a different font style but keep in mind the emphasis is mine.

“According to the Bible, our true essence is not our body, but our soul.

“The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.”

John 6:63

As our body is given life through our parents, our spirit receives life from God. This is why we call God our Father and we are known as the children of God. And since God is from heaven, our spirit too must be from heaven.

This is their first error. They ASSUME that we are the children of God because we CALL God our heavenly Father. And then from that FALSE assumption, they have also falsely concluded that since God is from heaven it stands to reason then we too MUST BE from heaven as well.

But WHO does the Bible ITSELF say are the children of God?

Please read 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.

“Be YOU (Christians, believers in Jesus) NOT unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has RIGHTEOUSNESS (True born-again Christians) with unrighteousness? and what communion has light with darkness?

15.  And what concord has Christ with Belial (Belial is a false god being both male and female. The Jews consider all uncircumcised Gentiles as the sons and daughters of Belial, The sons of darkness, Children of the Devil)? or what part has he that believes with an infidel?

16.  And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for YOU ARE the temple of the living God; (Every truly born again Christian IS right now, in this present world, a temple of God and the living God DWELLS in us as true believers in his Son Jesus as the atonement for our sins) as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17.  Wherefore (Or for this very reason that you are RESTING in Jesus as the atonement for your sins) come out from among them, and be you separate, (In other words, walk after the Holy Spirit and obey the teachings of Jesus under the New Covenant written in the New Testament) says the Lord, and touch NOT the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

18.  And WILL BE a Father unto you, and YOU SHALL BE  my sons and daughters, said the Lord Almighty.”

So then, according to the Bible ITSELF, the ONLY people who God will ACCEPT or RECEIVE as HIS children are those of us who BELIEVE on his SON Jesus to be saved and follow and obey the Holy Spirit. So then, right now in this present world, we are CALLED the sons and daughters of God but we shall not become God's ETERNAL sons and daughters until we actually receive or inherit the promise of eternal life in the world to come. The apostle John teaches us that those who commit sin are a child of the Devil and those of us who do not commit sin are the children of God.

Please read 1 John 3:1-11.

“Behold, what manner of love the Father has BESTOWED upon us, that we (Who are BELIEVING in his SON Jesus) should be called the sons of God: therefore, the world knows us not, because it knew him not. (So then, all those in the WORLD are OF the world and because they know NOT Almighty God and his Son Jesus and thus THEY are NOT the children of Almighty God who is OUR heavenly Father. God is the CREATOR of all humans but he is NOT the Father of all humans according to the NEW Covenant written in the NEW Testament which we must believe, follow, teach, and obey in order to receive ETERNAL LIFE in the world to come. Therefore, if any teaching CONTRADICTS what the NEW Testament teaches, then it is NOT acceptable to Almighty God because it was HE who both promised and gave the NEW Covenant being permanently established in the shed blood of the Son of man Jesus as the ONLY means to be saved and receive eternal life in the world to come.)

2.  Beloved, now (After we have BELIEVED in God’s Son and the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ) are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be (Meaning that we are not yet God’s ETERNAL sons and daughters having received our new glorified immortal bodies of flesh and bone like Jesus has now being given to him of his God and Father for overcoming the world to become the only begotten Son of God, the firstborn of every creature, the firstborn from the dead, never to die again, the firstborn among many brethren.): but we know that, when he shall appear (Or return or come again), we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (So, since all believers in Jesus were NOT changed in a twinkling of an eye to be made IMMORTAL when the man Ahnsahnghong, who claimed to be Christ returned from heaven in the flesh, then anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear can clearly see that Ahnsahnghong was a FALSE Christ and thus his teachings are FALSE teachings.)

3  And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. (In other words, we, the body of believers in Jesus Christ, the church, the chaste virgin espoused to Jesus, the bride of Jesus Christ, must make ourselves READY by keeping our garment of flesh spotless and clean by keeping sin out of our lives so that WHEN the TRUE Jesus comes again, we will be LIKE him, IMMORTAL, ETERNAL sons and daughters of Almighty God.)

4.  Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

5.  And you know (or you SHOULD KNOW or you better be KNOWING) that he (Jesus) was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

6.  Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins has not seen him, neither known him.

7.  Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

8.  He that commits sin is OF the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (Jesus was manifested not only to be the atonement for all our PAST sins to be wiped clean but also to empower us with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to OVERCOME and destroy sin in our lives)

9.  Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, BECAUSE he is born of God. (In other words, those in the world who excuse their sin are NOT born of God to BECOME the children of God. To say this another way, all humans are born of the flesh FIRST and ONLY humans can become God's eternal children after one is BORN-AGAIN by the WORD of God by BELIEVING the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ and remaining faithful to follow and obey the words of Jesus written down in the NEW Testament of the Bible.)

10.  In THIS the children of God are manifest, AND the children of the devil: whosoever does NOT righteousness is NOT OF God, NEITHER he that loves NOT his brother.

11.  For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should LOVE one another.”

So then, the Bible ITSELF clearly teaches us that NO human beings are a child of God UNTIL he or she is BORN OF God FIRST. And UNTIL that time ALL humans are the children of the DEVIL also called Satan and they are LOST and dead in their sins and without God until they BELIEVE the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ taught in the NEW Testament of the Bible.

Before our body existed, our spirit already had life. That is why even after our body ceases to exist, our spirit continues to live. To fully grasp the future and destiny of our soul, it’s important to understand how the soul came to be in the body.”

Now IF SO BE this was true, then ALL humans will be saved no matter what, whether they are sinners or not because their spirit RETURNS to God in heaven. And anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear knows, beyond every shadow of a doubt, that not ALL people will be saved. Let us keep reading their words on their website because I am getting ahead of myself. I have already read the whole article and you may not be aware that the Bible does indeed teach that the “spirit” RETURNS to God when our body dies. But in truth, OUR spirit, that God GIVES to us of his own Spirit, remains WITH the soul UNTIL the day of judgment and then ONLY the soul and the spirit of the WICKED will be separated, the soul destroyed in the lake of fire and THEN their spirit will return to God. So then, it is only God's Spirit of BREATH of life that returns to God when man ceases to BREATH.

“The Origin of the Soul

The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Genesis 2:7

In the book of Genesis, God made human beings with dust from the ground and the breath of life. These are figurative terms for two elements: the body and the spirit. So, a living being is the combination of the body and the spirit.

Some people suppose that when a person dies, he ceases to exist. But this is not the case. Instead, the Bible tells us that the spirit, or the soul, returns to God. In other words, death is the separation of the spirit from the body, not the extinction of them both. The spirit continues to live.

And the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Ecclesiastes 12:7

We can see the destinations of the body and the soul respectively. The body returns to the earth, but the spirit returns to God. The key word here is “returns.” By definition, “return” means to go back to a former place. God’s dwelling place is the kingdom of heaven (Psalm 102:19). This is the former place our spirit goes back to. It means before being on this earth, our spirit already existed in heaven.”

So here is their LOGIC, in case you did not follow it, they are saying that man is made of TWO parts and ONLY TWO parts, the BODY and the SOUL. And when the Body dies, it decays and turns back to the dust from which it was made and the SOUL RETURNS to God who gave it or who PUT the SOUL INTO the body of flesh.

Basically they ASSUME that the BREATH of LIFE, that God BREATHED INTO the NOSTRILS of the body of man, that God formed out of the dust of the earth, IS an individual already preexisting “spirit” child of God that God PUTS into the body of the lifeless pile of dust God formed into a BODY to BECOME a LIVING soul.

Now IF SO BE this were true, then this so-called already preexisting “spirit” child of God must NOT have been ALIVE until God put it into a body of flesh to BECOME a LIVING soul.

Let us read Genesis 2:7 again to make sure that I myself am reading it correctly.

Genesis 2:7.

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and BREATHED into his NOSTRILS the BREATH of life; and man BECAME a LIVING soul.”

Now correct me if I am wrong but the way I am reading this verse is that the SOUL was NOT ALIVE UNTIL God BREATHED his OWN BREATH of LIFE into the NOSTRILS of the BODY of man and THEN man BECAME a LIVING human being or a LIVING SOUL. So then, to ME, in this particular verse, the SOUL of a person is the WHOLE being of a person who is being kept ALIVE by the BREATH of God that God GAVE to us. And then when the body of the LIVING SOUL that God created to complete the whole being of a person goes to the grave and decays to return to the dust from which it was formed originally then the BREATH that gave the physical BODY LIFE returns to God who gave the body to have life. But the spirit of life that God gave to the SOUL remains connected to the soul until the Day of Judgment.

Let us take a closer look at Ecclesiastes 12:7.

“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”

Again, IF SO BE that “spirit” here, in this verse, is to dogmatically mean that every soul in the whole world returns to God, then that would mean that EVERY soul of every person, INCLUDING sinners, returns to God as opposed to ONLY the souls who believe in Jesus as their savior. And we know that this is NOT what the Bible ITSELF teaches us, as in, the WHOLE word of God. So then, the “spirit” here in Ecclesiastes is speaking of God’s spirit, as in, God’s BREATH of LIFE that gives LIFE to ALL of God’s creation.

So then, where did the SOUL go? Well, when God BREATHED his BREATH of life into the body then man, Adam, BECAME a SOUL which the Bible interchanges with the word “spirit”. In other words, God CREATED Adam and then, later on, took a rib from Adam’s side and made a woman from Adam and thus CREATED a female human being.

The NIV or the New International Version of the Bible translates Genesis 2:7 as man became a living BEING as opposed to man became a living SOUL. So then, our BEING, as in, the WHOLE person is spirit and body where the spirit of the INNER man, also called the HEART of man, has a SOUL which is the consciousness of a person. The soul or the consciousness of a person is CONNECTED to the spirit and ONLY God can separate the spirit from the soul.

Please read Hebrews 4:12.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

So from this verse, we can clearly see that the SOUL of man and the SPIRIT of God is NOT one and the same thing. Therefore, man is NOT made up of only TWO parts but rather THREE parts.

Please read 1 Thessalonians 5:23.

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly (or COMPLETELY or every PART of you, your WHOLE being); and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

In other words, God basically LOANS his SPIRIT to give MORTAL life to the SOUL of man, to become a living MORTAL being or a LIVING MORTAL soul, dwelling in a mortal body of flesh. And if at the END of our MORTAL life, we are found to be BLAMELESS in the eyes of Almighty God, then we will become God’s ETERNAL sons and daughters. And those who are NOT found to be blameless in God’s eye, when the MORTAL life has ended, then on the day of JUDGMENT at the RESURRECTION, God will DIVIDE or SEPARATE HIS life-giving Spirit from the WICKED SOULS or the consciousness of WICKED men and DESTROY BOTH the body and the soul of the WICKED in the lake of fire and THEN the spirit will RETURN to God who gave it. Please read the study  “IS THE DOCTRINE OF SOUL SLEEP BIBLICAL?” for all the verses that prove what I just said.

But for now, let us continue reading from their website to learn the errors of their interpretation of the Scriptures.

“The Difference Between the Body and the Soul

Apostles Paul and Peter both referred to the human body as a tent. Our body is just a home in which our spirit lives temporarily.

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. …For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened…

2 Corinthians 5:1,4

I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.

2 Peter 1:13-14

Jesus too demonstrated the difference between the body and the spirit.

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Matthew 10:28

Jesus said that people can kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Even though a man’s body decays and disappears, his soul continues to exist. Jesus Himself taught the body is simply a temporary housing for the soul.”

It is INCORRECT to say that the BODY is a TEMPORARY home for the soul because this may leave the wrong impression that when the RIGHTEOUS IN Jesus Christ dies their souls will ALWAYS REMAIN HOMELESS forever. The Bible itself teaches us that we desire to be CLOTHED upon with IMMORTALITY and that we will be LIKE Jesus is right now having a FLESH and BONE IMMORTAL BODY that will never die. So then, this MORTAL physical body is the TEMPORY home for the soul of true born-again believer in the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ who endures unto the END to be saved. And all the wicked souls will be DESTROYED in the lake of fire on the final Day of Judgment.

Now, the World Mission Society Church of God also teaches that Christ has already RETURNED to the earth in the FLESH in 1948. Keep in mind that Jesus, the TRUE Christ, was given the divine nature of IMMORTALITY after the cross to NEVER DIE again. And the man who says he was Christ, DIED 36 years after claiming to be Christ. The leaders of this church can argue all they want saying, well it was only his FLESH that died but the Bible ITSELF teaches us that it is appointed ONCE for a man to die and the Son of man, Jesus already DIED on the cross ONCE and for all time. So either God is a liar of this man-made church denomination, called the World Mission Society Church of God, is making a lie and seems to LOVE making a lie boasting that they ALONE are the ONE TRUE church.

“And, behold, I (Jesus) come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14.  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the TREE of life, and may ENTER in through the gates into the CITY.

15.  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.”

Let us keep reading from their website to see even more errors of interpretation of the scriptures.

“The Present State of the Soul

Although our spirit previously existed in heaven, it is now living inside the human body. Only through the teachings of Christ can we understand the reason.

In other words, their logic is based on the question of WHY is mankind here. And IF mankind pre-existed in heaven, WHY did God send us to the earth? Then they reason or come up with the theory, Oh, we MUST have SINNED in Heaven and God exiled us to the earth until we repent of our sins. So, they look and look to try and find a verse to support their THEORY. And yes, it is just a THEORY because the Bible does not STATE, as a FACT, that every human being pre-existed in heaven as a “spirit” child of God. Now if so be their theory is true, then it would seem logical for God to have sent ALL the so-called “pre-existing spirit children” down to the earth at the SAME time all at once. Anyway, here are the verses that they use to TRY and support their theory of Mother God and Father God having spirit children in heaven and then sending them to the earth, a few at a time, after they SIN up in heaven, to be forgiven. Again, their line of reasoning is that the supposedly those spirit children will return to heaven. Now logic would say that there are still some so-called preexisting spirit children still committing sin up in heaven who are still being exiled to the earth because people are still being born on the earth. And people will still be born during the Millennium which would mean that those supposed spirit children in heaven will still be sinning up in heaven in order to be exiled to be born in the earth. Can you not see how ridiculous their THEORY sounds when you stop and THINK it through for yourself?

Let us continue to expose the errors of their interpretation.

“For the Son of Man [Jesus] came to seek and to save the lost.”

Luke 19:10

“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners…”

1Timothy 1:15

Through these verses, Jesus let us know He came to seek and save lost sinners.

Tell them the LORD looked down from his heavenly sanctuary. He looked down to earth from heaven to hear the groans of the prisoners, to release those condemned to die.

Psalm 102:19 (NLT)

In truth, Psalm 102:19 is speaking of the Christians and the Jews who will be thrown in prisons by the antichrist kingdom in the last days and they are awaiting their appointed execution by their enemies. This verse has nothing to do with Almighty God appointing sinners to death. Jesus is coming to RESCUE the Christians and the Jews who are prisoners of their enemy radical Islam and Jesus will release them that are condemned by MAN to die.

It’s common Christian knowledge that we are born sinners.

NO! It is NOT common knowledge because many Christians do NOT believe that we are BORN as sinners. But it is sad to say that it is the common IGNORANT knowledge of SOME Christians that babies are born IN sin and AS sinners. But this is NOT what the WHOLE word of God teaches us. Please read the study “THE FALSE DOCTRINE OF ORIGINAL SIN!”

We are born sinners not because our bodies committed sin, but because our spirit sinned in the kingdom of heaven prior to our lives on earth. Since we committed sin in heaven, we were expelled to the earth (Ezekiel 28:12-17), and are now lost without knowing how to return to heaven.

Again, this is THEIR THEORY and a theory that CONTRADICTS many verses in the Bible. Now the passage of scripture that they use to TRY and support that ALL human beings sinned IN heaven and then we were expelled to the earth is the passage of scripture teaching us about Lucifer, the fallen angel who is now called Satan which means adversary or enemy. Let us allow the Bible ITSELF to prove this for you by reading the CONTEXT to include the next two verses because whoever this passage of scripture is referring to will NEVER RETURN to heaven. Before we read this passage of scripture, I want my readers and seekers of the truth, of the whole word of God, to notice that they did NOT QUOTE this verse. They may read it to their follower so that they can emphasize only the parts of this verse that they want them to see. This is why I teach my readers to search the word of God for YOURSELVES, so you can see directly from the word of God what his WHOLE word is teaching us.

Ezekiel 28:12-19.

“Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king (Singular, denoting ONE being) of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus says the Lord GOD; You sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

13.  You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created. (NOT BORN)

14.  You are the anointed cherub (Again, singular, speaking of ONE being) that covers; and I have set you so: you were upon the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15.  You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you.

16.  By the multitude of your merchandise, they have filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will DESTROY you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. (Meaning that you will no longer be allowed to travel the stars as you once did. Also, please notice that Lucifer was not sent to the earth to be REDEEMED. So even if you TWIST this passage of Scripture to mean that spirit children are sent to the earth then you must be consistent with your INTERPRETATION and also teach that ALL humans will be DESTROYED. The TRUTH of the matter is that this passage of Scripture is talking about Satan and has nothing to do with so-called spirit children.)

17.  Your heart was (And not your hearts were, as in many people but a single, your heart was) lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I WILL cast you to the ground (A prophecy of a yet future casting down to the ground), I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you.

18.  You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold you.

19.  All they that know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you shall be a terror, and NEVER shall you be ANY MORE.”

Now to my knowledge, this is the ONLY verse or passage of scripture that they give to TRY and support their teaching that God’s so-called “preexisting spirit children” sinned IN heaven. And, therefore, according to THEM, we were supposedly expelled to the earth to supposedly learn our lesson to never disobey our “spiritual” parents, Father God and Mother God ever again.

I mean I have never heard such teaching like this before. It goes against the very nature and goodness of Almighty God. When I read this, I thought even human beings are better parents than God. That is to say, according to THEIR logic of so many of God’s supposed spirit children sinning IN heaven. By the way, according to the Bible ITSELF, Lucifer did NOT sin IN heaven. Lucifer’s throne was on the earth and sin was found in him ON the earth when he was lifted, with his OWN pride, to exalt his throne ABOVE the CLOUDS to try and take over God’s throne in heaven by making WAR on God’s throne.

Please read Isaiah 14:12-15.

“How are you fallen from heaven, (Or how are you not being allowed into the throne room in the third heaven and to travel the stars anymore) O Lucifer, son of the morning! How are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations! (Or how are you cast out as being the leader of the principalities and powers in the heaven over the earth down to the surface of the earth?)

13.  For you have said in your heart, I will ASCEND INTO heaven, I will exalt MY throne ABOVE the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14.  I will ASCEND ABOVE the heights of the CLOUDS; I will be like the most High.

15.  Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.”

So then, Lucifer TOOK his sin of pride, rebellion, and violence of WAR up TO heaven to make war with God in order to try and take over God's throne and make it his own throne. Let us move on to see what other arguments they use to try and support what they teach.

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

1 John 3:4

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23

Every country has a criminal justice system—a set of laws and consequential punishments for those who break them. It is the same in heaven. Just as criminals are sentenced to prison, we were sent to earth, the spiritual prison, and are serving our given penalty-death.

How can the soul return to God?

Even though we sinned in heaven and were expelled to the earth, as the Bible explains, Jesus Christ came to grant us forgiveness of sins so we may return to heaven.

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace…”

Ephesians 1:7

As we have already seen the Bible ITSELF does NOT explain, teach or even imply that God had spirit children in heaven with a Mother God let alone that those supposed preexisting spirit children sinned IN heaven and were expelled to the earth and they have continued to be expelled to the earth for thousands of years and are still yet being expelled to the earth every time a baby is born. I mean WOW, there must be a LOT of sinning IN heaven according to their THEORY of the World Mission Society Church of God.

Jesus said for us to pray that God’s will be done on earth AS it IS IN Heaven. So to ME, there can be NO SIN IN heaven nor could there have ever been sin IN heaven. Let us continue reading what else they teach on their website.

Before we can go back to heaven, we need to be forgiven. Forgiveness is given through the blood of Christ. It is crucial to know how to receive his blood because our return to heaven depends on it.

I agree that it is crucial and vital that we MUST know HOW to receive forgiveness of our sin so that we can GO TO heaven. I do NOT agree that we are going BACK to heaven. Now, most Christians KNOW HOW to become truly born-again children of God to be forgiven of all our past sins. If not please read the study “WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BORN AGAIN?”.

Let us now see how the World Mission Society Church of God teaches as to HOW we MUST receive the atonement blood of Jesus according to THEIR beliefs and teaching to see if they are teaching the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ or if they are teaching ANOTHER gospel or a DIFFERENT gospel of Jesus Christ.

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover. …While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

Matthew 26:19, 26-28

Jesus instructed us to receive His blood through the New Covenant Passover. Through the Passover bread and wine, Christ’s flesh and blood, we can be forgiven of our sins and return to our spiritual home. Keeping God’s grace in mind, mankind should earnestly partake in the New Covenant Passover, just as Jesus eagerly partook in it before His crucifixion.

When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.” …And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”

Luke 22:14-15, 19-20

The life we live on this earth is an opportunity from God for our souls to return to heaven after receiving forgiveness of sins. This teaching of God meets its fulfillment in the New Covenant Passover established by Jesus 2,000 years ago. The Church of God celebrates the New Covenant Passover in order to receive Christ’s promise of eternal life in the kingdom of heaven.”

So then, what the World Mission Society Church of God is teaching here is that IF a person wants to be forgiven of all their sin, so that they can supposedly “RETURN” to heaven, then they MUST KEEP the New Covenant PASSOVER of taking communion, the breaking of bread and the drinking from the cup of wine as Jesus taught BEFORE he suffered and died on the cross.

But the Bible itself teaches us that Jesus IS OUR PASSOVER LAMB and we partake of the COMMUNION of the breaking of bread and the drinking from the cup of wine in REMEMBRANCE of WHAT Jesus did FOR us ON the cross. The taking of communion is NOT what forgives us of all our sins.

Please read 1 Corinthians 5:7.

“Purge out, therefore, the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For even Christ OUR Passover is sacrificed for us:”

We, as Christians, believe that the Passover lamb and the feast of the Passover under the old covenant were types or shadows pointing TO the TRUE Passover LAMB who was slain in the mind and plan of God BEFORE the foundation of the world to be the ONCE and for all time ONE sacrifice for ALL sin. Therefore, to make the ordinance of taking communion a mandatory must keep feast day, in a NEW way, then that would be like sacrificing Jesus again every year on the DAY of Passover on the Jewish calendar.

So, when we BELIEVE with all  our heart that Jesus suffered and died for OUR sins and we CONFESS our faith before men then we are saved, as in, ALL of our PAST sins are FORGIVEN us the very moment we BELIEVE that Jesus suffered and died on the cross for OUR sin, to REPENT of our sins and committing our lives to God and his Son Jesus.

The moment we BELIEVE in Jesus, God gives us the Holy Spirit to come and DWELL IN us to empower us to follow and obey the teachings of Jesus in the NEW Testament under the NEW Covenant. I implore you to search the word of God for YOURSELF to make sure that what you are being taught is the truth of the WHOLE word of God and NOT just verses from the Bible taken OUT of their context or INCORRECTLY INTERPRETED.

Here is what the World Mission Society Church of God teaches about their THEORY of a MUST be kept ANNUAL New Covenant Passover in order to receive eternal life.

“During the New Covenant Passover, Jesus promised His body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus established the Passover for His people—for those who believe in Christ. The importance of the Passover goes beyond the forgiveness of sins. It is the only way to receive eternal life in order to enter heaven.

“Anyone who eats the bread from heaven, however, will never die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world may live, is my flesh.” …So Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you. But anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day.”

John 6:50-54 (NLT)

After Jesus ascended to the kingdom of heaven, the disciples continued to celebrate the Passover in the Apostolic Age. And today, the Church of God keeps the New Covenant Passover as Jesus established it two thousand years ago at the appointed time—on the fourteenth day of the first month in the sacred calendar."

First of all, the apostles of Jesus and the early first-century church did NOT keep ANY of the Old Testament feast days nor did they keep the seventh day of the week because they understood that they were all SHADOWS point to Jesus. There is no command or teaching to keep ANY DAY of the week, month or year in the entire NEW Testament under the NEW Covenant. Please read the study “IS JESUS OUR SABBATH REST?” and all the related studies, proving beyond any shadow of a doubt, that the neither Jesus nor his disciples taught the church to keep ANY day above another day.

But for now, Jesus was NOT a LITERAL loaf of bread and Jesus is not teaching us to eat his literal flesh and drink his literal blood. These are allegories. Bread in the Bible speaks of TEACHING where leavened bread means FALSE teaching and unleavened bread mean the TRUE TEACHING of God come down from heaven that brings ETERNAL LIFE. Keep reading the CONTEXT of this passage of scripture.

John 6:67-69.

“Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

68.  Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the WORDS (Speaking of the TRUE BREAD or the TEACHING) of eternal life.

69.  And we believe and are sure that you are that Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Now, how we keep the feast of Passover under the NEW Covenant is by OBEYING the words or teachings of Jesus Christ in the NEW Testament.

“BEWARE lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and NOT after Christ.

9.  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10.  And you are complete IN him, (In other words, we are NOT required to keep all the ceremonial feast days, the woman wearing veils, the eating of only certain kinds of meats because the sacrifice of Jesus was COMPLETE.) which is the head of all principality and power:

11.  IN whom also you ARE circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12.  Buried with him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead.

13.  And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14.  BLOTTING OUT the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15.  And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

16.  Let no man, therefore, judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

17.  Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is OF Christ.”

In other words, all the feast days and ordinances under the OLD Covenant written in the OLD Testament were all SHADOWS pointing to the TRUE which is IN Jesus Christ.

Jesus IS OUR Passover,

Jesus IS OUR circumcision.

Jesus IS OUR Sabbath REST.

Jesus IS OUR atonement for sins.

We are COMPLETE IN him set free from the bondage of sin to serve Almighty God and his Son Jesus in NEWNESS of life walking in LOVE and RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH the power of the eternal Holy Spirit DWELLING IN us.
