SPELLING EDITED Bb-7. DID JESUS SAVE EVERYONE? When Jesus died on the cross and said “It is FINISHED” does that mean that everyone will eventually be saved? Please read John 19:30. “When Jesus, therefore, had received the vinegar, he said, IT IS FINISHED: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” What is FINISHED? Well, this verse does not state as a fact with no interpretation needed to know beyond any shadow of a doubt what Jesus himself truly INTENDED to mean when he said “IT is FINISHED” Therefore, this verse must be INTERPRETED. And there are many DIFFERENT interpretations of what this verse means. Now I asked the question “Does the words of Jesus saying “It is FINISHED” mean that EVERYONE will eventually be saved?” In other words, all Christians agree that many people have died without ever being given the chance to HEAR the gospel of Jesus Christ. And some of those people were very good people while others were extremely wicked evil people. So a more precise question is “Will EVERYONE both good and bad people who died WITHOUT believing in Jesus as their Savior EVENTUALLY be saved? Some Christians say YES, absolutely! Other Christians say that Jesus only died for certain people who were chosen before the foundation of the world to be saved. And therefore, to them, ONLY the ELECT will be saved while MOST of mankind will NOT be saved. And yet other Christians say that while Jesus did indeed die on the cross for every single person only those who BELIEVE in Jesus as their Savior will be saved. So then, who is right and who is wrong because all three beliefs can not possibly be right? Whenever I come across church doctrines that contradict each other, then I closely examine each of those doctrines in the light of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. And what I mean by that is that is do not JUST closely look at ONLY the verses that are used to support some particular teaching. But rather, I ALSO look closely at the verses that seem to CONTRADICT those particular teachings. Now, all three of the above doctrines are on the same subject of being saved. So then, we need to look at the Scriptures that teach us HOW to be saved. Let us start with one of the most quoted passages of Scripture in the Bible. I will add my comments in parenthesis withing the verses in all passages of Scriptures that I quote. All comments are my own OPINION as to how I myself have come to believe because what I believe MUST AGREE with every verse in the Bible. Please read John 3:14-19. “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so, must the Son of man be lifted up: (Speaking of Jesus being crucified on the cross for the sins of the WHOLE world according to 1 John 2:2. So that eliminated the THEORY that Jesus died on the cross ONLY for the ELECT because that theory CONTRADICTS 1 John 2:2 which does NOT need ANY interpretation to know what it means in the light of the WHOLE word of God) 15. That WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM NOT PERISH, but have eternal life. (In other words, Jesus did indeed suffer and die on the cross for the sins of the WHOLE world so that WHOSEVER of any person in the entire world who BELIEVES IN Jesus should NOT PERISH. But rather. INSTEAD OF PERISHING, those who BELIEVE IN Jesus as their Savior will be given ETERNAL LIFE. Now, I want you to notice that Jesus states as a fact only TWO possible choices as to WHAT with happen to PEOPLE in the end after this present world when they are JUDGED. They will either PERISH or they will be given ETERNAL LIFE. Those who BELIEVE IN Jesus as their Savior will NOT PERISH. But sadly, those who do NOT believe in Jesus as their Savior WILL PERISH. So the two completely DIFFERENT ends of all humans beings is those who believe will receive eternal life and those who do not believe will PERISH. But God is not willing that ANY should perish and that all should be saved) 16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSEVER BELIEVES IN HIM should NOT PERISH, but have EVERLASTING LIFE. 17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world THROUGH HIM MIGHT be saved. (Now to be Biblically correct the English words “MIGHT BE” are not in the original Greek text. They were added by the translators for clarity because the context is CONTRASTING two different groups of people. Those who come to the LIGHT and BELIEVE to be SAVED and those who do NOT come to the light to be saved. And thus. those who do NOT believe are NOT saved. So Jesus died for everyone so that the world MIGHT BE saved. In other words, God made it POSSIBLE for everyone to be saved so long as they OBEY the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ. And the first commandment of the New Covenant is to BELIEVE IN Jesus Christ as your Savior. There is no other name under heaven whereby we MUST be saved. See Acts 4:10-12) 18. He that BELIEVES on him is NOT condemned: BUT he that believes NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE he has NOT believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19. And THIS is the condemnation, that LIGHT has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. 20. For EVERYONE that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21. But he that does TRUTH comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” All the way through this passage of Scripture Jesus is contrasting two DIFFERENT groups of people. And those two different groups of people are those who BELIEVE the TRUTH and DO the TRUTH to be SAVED in contrast to those who love the pleasures of sin more than coming to the LIGHT of the TRUTH to the BELIEVE the truth to repent and turn away from their wicked ways. Jesus IS the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. And NO man comes to the Father EXCEPT they come THROUGH FAITH IN Jesus as their Savior and their Lord. Now to me, it is very obvious that some people will BELIEVE and endure unto the END to be saved while others REJECT the TRUTH by their UNBELIEF and their continuing to live in sin. And to ME, the Bible itself makes it blatantly CLEAR that those who do NOT believe are CONDEMNED to PERISH because they have NOT believed in the ONLY name given among men whereby we MUST be saved. But to be fair to those who sincerely believe that EVERYONE will indeed EVENTUALLY believe let us take a closer look at the verses that they use to TRY and support what they have come to believe by listening to their OPINIONS of those verses where those INTERPRETATIONS of those verses they use CONTRADICT other verses and passages of Scripture in the Bible. For example, the interpretation of other verses to mean that eventually ALL people will be saved CONTRADICTS the passage of Scripture that we just read in John chapter 3. Which by the way, ALSO teaches in the same context that people MUST be BORN-AGAIN to enter into the kingdom of God. See John 3:1-14, but for now, let us read 1 Timothy 4:10 which is WRONGLY interpreted by Christians who believe that EVERYONE will be saved CLAIM that even those people who do NOT believe in Jesus will also be saved as well. 1 Timothy 4:10. “For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of ALL men, SPECIALLY of those that believe.” Now, those who wrongly teach that everyone will eventually be saved, INTERPRET the English word “SPECIALLY” as meaning “even more so” those who believe in Jesus will be saved. And, to THEM, that means ALL men will indeed be saved but EVEN MORE SO those that believe will be saved. Now SOME universalist believe that Christians will be on a higher level above the rest of the non-Christians in the world to come which is true during the Millennium ONLY. I say SOME because there are many different beliefs among universalist. They all believe the EVERYONE will eventually be saved but they disagree as to how this will happen, why they believe it will happen, and when it will happen. They also disagree on the degree of the salvation of everyone. Some say everyone will be saved with the same immortal life while others say that there will be different degrees of LIFE, Aonian life versus immortal life or eternal life NOT being immortal life. For you see, in the world to come right after this present world there will be a literal 1000 years where those who SURVIVE the WRATH of God who are NOT Christians in this present world but who remain ALIVE to the COMING of Jesus will go into the Millennium in their MORTAL bodies to be taught God’s ways. And ONLY true born-again faithful Christians who endured unto the end will be given IMMORTALITY like Jesus was given. And they will rule and reign WITH Jesus for that AGE of 1000 years. And THEN after that age of the Millennium ALL of those judged to be WICKED and UNWORTHING to receive eternal life will be cast into the LITERAL lake of fire to be completely destroyed. And THEN God will create the new heavens and the new earth to begin the age of ages or age of ETERNITY that will be prepared ONLY for the RIGHTEOUS IN Jesus Christ. So then, WHICH INTERPRETATION in COMPLETE AGREEMENT with every other verse and passage of Scripture in the Bible? In other words, is that interpretation “even more so” of the TRANSLATED English word “specially” the ONLY meaning of the original Greek word? And is that interpretation “even more so” the ONLY meaning of the actual English word “specially or especially”? Let us find out right now. Here is what E-Sword says that the Greek word translated as specially means. G3122 μάλιστα malista mal'-is-tah Neuter plural of the superlative of an apparently primary adverb μάλα mala (very); (adverb) most (in the greatest degree) or particularly: - chiefly, most of all, (e-) specially. Total KJV occurrences: 12 Now, in the LIGHT of the rest of God’s word, I myself would interpret 1 Timothy 2:10 to mean that the Living God chose to use the Son of Man, Jesus, as his Messiah to die on the cross for the sin of the WHOLE world, PARTICULARLY, for those who BELIEVE. Yes, Jesus died for ALL but the Bible itself teaches us that ONLY those who BELIEVE will receive the BENEFIT of his death and resurrection. A rich person can give you ar check for a million dollars but that check is WORTHLESS until YOU yourself CASH that check PROVIDE for you to cash. And even when we look at the meaning of the translated actual English word “specially” which has an “e” in parenthesis in front of its meaning that this Greek word is also translated as “especially”, it means the same as particularly or MORE PRECISELY in particular. Here is what the English word especially means. Especially Adverb---used to single out one person, thing, or situation over all others. In other words, the TRUE INTENDED SOUND Biblical meaning of the Greek word translated as “specially” in the King James Version means to SINGLE OUT a PARTICULAR group of ALL men who will be saved as being in particularly those who BELIEVE. Or more precisely so that you do NOT get confused, ONLY those who BELIEVE will be saved. And part of believing the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ is to OBEY the teachings of Jesus under the New Covenant written in the New Testament to endure unto the END of your life or until Jesus returns, whichever come first. And I have said many times that ANY INTERPRETATION that CONTRADICTS any other verse in the Bible is NOT the TRUE INTENDED meaning of the verse that is being interpreted. And the INTERPRETATION of 1 Timothy 2:10 that says this verse means that God will eventually save ALL men including those who believe in Jesus as well as those who die without believing in Jesus CONTRADICTS many, many other verses that do not NEED any interpretation. Let us take a moment to read through all the verses that CONTRAST the two DIFFERENT groups of people who will be resurrected from the dead. And while you read through those verses I want you to see that the two separate JUDGMENTS are NOT the SAME judgment. In fact, the outcomes of the resurrection an judgment are the exact OPPOSITE of each other in EVERY verse below. Again, my comments or opinions will be in parenthesis. Daniel 12:2,3 “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth (Or those who are dead and their bodies are buried in the grave) shall awake, (Or shall be resurrected or broke back to life to be JUDGED) some to everlasting life, AND some to SHAME and everlasting CONTEMPT. 3. And they that be WISE shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that TURN many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.” Now, I myself only see TWO things that will happen when a person is resurrected to be judged. They will either be judged WORTHY to receive eternal life. Or they will be judged as being UNWORTHY to receive eternal CONTEMPT. The word translated as “CONTEMPT”, according to E-Sword, means to abhor which means to be disgusted with and even to have hatred towards. H1860 דֵּרָאוֹן דְּרָאוֹן derâ'ôn dêrâ'ôn der-aw-one', day-raw-one' From an unused root (meaning to repulse); an object of aversion: - abhorring, contempt. Total KJV occurrences: 2 And the English word “contempt” means the feeling that a person or a thing is beneath consideration, WORTHLESS, or deserving scorn. And to ME, none of these meaning even hint that they those who will be resurrected to SHAME and CONTEMPT will eventually be saved after they are resurrected on the final Day of Judgment at the END of the 1000 year reign of Jesus. Let us move on to the next verse. John 5:26 “For as the Father has life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; 27 And has given him authority to execute JUDGMENT also, because he is the Son of man. 28. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which ALL that are in the graves shall hear his voice, (Meaning that EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has died and is in the grave will be RESURRECTED to face their JUDGMENT) 29. And shall come forth; (Meaning that at their resurrection their SOUL will come out of the holding place of the dead and placed back in their old physical mortal body to be JUDGED) they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; AND they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of DAMNATION.” Now, I myself see Jesus saying that there will be two different OUTCOMES or two completely OPPOSITE JUDGMENTS when ALL people are resurrected. They who have done GOOD will be given eternal life. AND those who have done EVIL will be judged DESERVING DAMNATION. Here is what E-Sword says that the Greek word translated as damnation means. G2920 κρίσις krisis kree'-sis (Subjectively or objectively, for or against); by extension a tribunal; by implication justice (specifically divine law): - accusation, condemnation, damnation, judgment. And in the Orthodox Christian belief that word damnation means condemnation to eternal punishment in hell for all eternity being TORMENTED or tortured with extreme pain which I myself do NOT believe. This English word “damnation” also means perdition, to be cursed, to be anathema, and to be doomed. And being doomed means to have NO HOPE left, or an INESCAPABLE and undesirable outcome or end. And that is why Christians call the Day of Judgment at the END of the Millennium the FINAL Day of Judgment because whatever a person is judged as their outcome is FINAL. There is no escaping the final outcome of the final Day of Judgment. The person’s FATE will be sealed and final on the Day of Judgment. There will be NO court of APPEAL to try and overturn God’s JUDGMENT. And that is WHY the Bible calls those who will be resurrected to the damnation of an ETERNAL damnation. It is NOT that the lake of fire is eternal but rather that the DESTRUCTION from the lake of fire is eternal. Please see the study IS THE LAKE OF FIRE A REFINING FIRE?” for the sound Biblical evidence that the fire itself is NOT for all eternity even though most every Bible TRANSLATION translates the Greek word “aionos or aion” as eternal, everlasting, and forever when the root word “aion” ALSO means an AGE. Mark 3:29. “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost has never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:” This means that IF a person does NOT CONTINUE to blaspheme the Holy Spirit and then turn away from their ERROR of blaspheming God in this PRESENT world before they die or before Jesus returns then they will no longer be in danger of ETERNAL damnation. Now, the Greek word “aionos” in this verse does indeed mean ETERNAL, as in, the outcome of the JUDGMENT to be DAMNED will be IRREVERSIBLE. Now, let me make myself perfectly clear right upfront. Those who sincerely believe and teach the everyone in the whole world will eventually be saved INTERPRET the Greek word that is translated as ETERNAL and as EVERLASTING to NOT mean eternal or everlasting when that Greek word is association with ETERNAL damnation and eternal destruction in the lake of fire on the final Day of Judgment only when it is CONVENIENT to fit their theology of every person eventually being saved. But when it comes to interpreting the SAME EXACT Greek word being used in association with LIFE then eternal life does indeed mean IMMORTAL LIFE never to die again. The CONTEXT of Mark 3:29 says that those who blaspheme God, as in, they never repent in this present world will NEVER have FORGIVENESS of that sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Now, the reason that the Christians who teach universalism do this is that they NEED the PUNISHMENT of God to only be TEMPORARY. For you see, they know full well that some people will indeed be resurrected to face ETERNAL PUNISHMENT and ETERNAL DESTRUCTION. Matthew 25:46. “And these shall go away into everlasting PUNISHMENT: BUT the righteous into life eternal”. Again, please understand that the Bible itself does NOT teach eternal TORMENT in flames of fire for all eternity. But rather the Bible itself teaches that the JUDGMENT itself is PERMANENT once it is passed upon a person. And the judgment the wicked will be eternal punishment and can NOT be reversed no matter how much the wicked repent, weep, gnash their teeth, and beg for forgiveness. There will be NO reversing of the OUTCOME of the PUNISHMENT of those who will be judged wicked and unworthy to receive the blessing of eternal life. Now, the judgment of the wicked sinners will be ON the FINAL Day of Judgment at the END of the 1000 year reign of Jesus. If a parent tells their children that IF the disobey you then you will PUNISH them and you do NOT keep your WORD to PUNISH them then you are a LIAR. And God is not a man that he should LIE. God said that the wages of SIN is DEATH and he MEANS IT. BUT thanks be to God that he also said that the RIGHTEOUS will enter into ETERNAL LIFE. Now all Christians agree that those who follow and obey the words of Jesus will inherit ETERNAL LIFE in the world to come does indeed mean IMMORTAL life for all eternity to never die again. And I agree that the ACTUAL PUNISHING ITSELF will NOT last for all eternity but will ONLY last TO the age of ages. However, the OUTCOME OF that punishment will be the SECOND DEATH of being DESTROYED for all eternity never to rise again. And ONLY those who BELIEVE IN Jesus as their Savior and as their Lord in this PRESENT world will receive eternal life AT the coming of Jesus to have immortality DURING the world to come to rule and reign with Jesus over the MORTALS. Please read Mark 10:29-31. “And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that has left a house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, 30 But he shall receive a hundredfold NOW IN THIS PRESENT TIME (Or in this PRESENT world or age), houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; AND in the world to come eternal life. 31. But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.” Just briefly, the first as the Jews that REJECTED Jesus to whom the true Gospel of Jesus Christ was FIRST preached. And the last is the Gentile BELIEVERS along with the Jesus who BELIEVED. But please understand that Jesus is referring to the NATION of Jews and NOT each individual Jew. In other words, AT the COMING of Jesus there will only be a REMNANT of Jews who will be saved ALIVE in their MORTAL bodies who will go into the Millennium to be taught of the Lord. There will be NO UNSAVED Jews or UNSAVED Gentiles resurrected in the FIRST resurrection AT the coming of Jesus. To say this another way, OF the UNSAVED people, ONLY those who are alive AT the coming of Jesus who SURVIVE the WRATH of God who calls on the name of the Lord to be saved will be saved ALIVE in their MORTAL bodies to go into the Millennium to be taught of the Lord. Now, back to Mark 10:29-31. We KNOW beyond any shadow of a doubt that Jesus intended his words to mean ETERNAL in this passaged of Scripture and not just for an age because Jesus taught the Apostle Paul that when Jesus comes again to rule in the world to come that those who are IN Jesus Christ IN THIS PRESENT world will be CHANGED in a moment and a twinkling of an eye to be given IMMORTALITY AT the COMING of Jesus. And if so be that IMMORTAL does NOT mean forever for all eternity then you might as well say that God himself is NOT IMMORTAL. Please read where Pauls teaches us in SIMPLICITY that eternal life definitely and without fail means IMMORTAL LIFE in the world to come. 1 Corinthians 15:42-58. “So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: (Now one can take this verse OUT of its CONTEXT to WRONGLY interpret this verse to mean ALL the dead will be saved. But the INTENDED meaning, according to the CONTEXT is speaking of ONLY the dead who have gotten VICTORY OVER death by their FAITH IN Jesus Christ as the Savior and as their Lord IN this PRESENT world. Keep reading the context and prove to yourself that universal salvation where everyone will eventually be saved is a doctrine of devils) 43. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47. The first man is of the earth, earthy: (Or MORTAL) the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. (Meaning that some people are earthly-minded to obey the lust of their flesh. And other people are heavenly minded to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit to walk in righteousness) 49. And as WE have borne the image of the earthy, WE shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50. Now, this I say, BRETHREN, that flesh, and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does CORRUPTION inherit incorruption. 51. Behold, I show you a mystery; WE shall NOT ALL sleep, but WE shall all be changed, (In other words, not ALL Christians will DIE and be in the grave when Jesus comes and need to be RESURRECTED. Again, the topic under discussion in this whole chapter 15 of 1 Corinthians is focused on what will be the outcome of the resurrection of those IN Jesus Christ IN this PRESENT world AT the COMING of Jesus. And one of those things is that there will be some Christians who will remain alive through the 3 1/2 years of great tribulation who will be found faithful AT the coming of Jesus. So then, not ONLY will the DEAD IN Jesus Christ be resurrected and given IMMORTALITY but we also who remain alive unto the coming of Jesus will as well be CHANGED from MORTAL to IMMORTAL or changed from mortal to ETERNAL LIFE) 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead (Again, the word dead here is speaking ONLY of the dead IN Jesus Christ because 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 clearly teaches us that all others have NO HOPE. of the FIRST resurrection AT the COMING of Jesus, So to interpret the dead in this verse as being BOTH the righteous AND the wicked would be and INCORRECT interpretation because the CONTEXT is speaking of the BRETHREN who have gained the VICTORY over death THROUGH Jesus Christ in this PRESENT world) shall be raised incorruptible, and WE shall be changed. 53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this MORTAL must put on IMMORTALITY. 54. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in VICTORY. 55. O death, where is your STING? O grave, where is your victory? (Over us who are saved IN Jesus Christ) 56. The STING of death is SIN; and the strength of sin is the law. 57. But thanks be to God, which gives US (Speaking of ONLY the faithful BRETHREN who are IN Jesus Christ who endure unto the end to be SAVED, according to Matthew 24:13 are given the) the victory THROUGH OUR Lord Jesus Christ. (So if Jesus is NOT your Lord and Savior then you are DEAD in your SINS and you have NO victory over the deadly STING of DEATH which is SIN. And the wages of SIN is DEATH and NOT eventual salvation through the so-called purging fire in the lake of fire that supposedly cleanses the wicked from sin rather than DESTROYING the wicked so they will never rise again) 58. Therefore, (Or for this very reason that the STING of DEATH is REAL and PERMANENT) my BELOVED BRETHREN, be YOU stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work OF the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is NOT in vain IN the Lord.” Let us go ahead and read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 which is the rapture of the CHURCH and NOT the rapture of the entire world to be saved from the WRATH of God. There will only be ONE resurrection of the dead IN Jesus Christ BEFORE the 1000 year reign of Jesus. And that resurrection to ONLY the dead IN Jesus Christ that INCLUDES the CHANGING from mortal to IMMORTAL of those who REMAIN alive through the great tribulation is called the FIRST resurrection in Revelation 20:4-6 which we will read shortly. Now, evidently there were some Christians who were worried that some of their BRETHREN IN the Lord Jesus Christ who DIED would not be saved. But Paul COMFORTS Christians with these following words. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. “But I would not have you to be IGNORANT, brethren, CONCERNING them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as OTHERS which have NO HOPE. 14. For if WE believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, THEM also which sleep IN Jesus will God bring with him. 15. For this, we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that WE which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent THEM which are asleep. (Speaking of ONLY the DEAD IN Jesus Christ and NOT ALL the dead in the whole world to include the WICKED dead. The CONTEXT is speaking of ONLY the DEAD IN Jesus Christ having the hope of the FIRST resurrection AT the coming of Jesus BEFORE Jesus executes to WRATH of Almighty God upon the WICKED and the DISOBEDIENT to the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ) 16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: (Speaking of the SAME LAST trumpet or trumpet in 1 Corinthians 15:50-54 where the BRETHREN are changed from mortal to IMMORTAL in a twinkling of an eye) and the dead IN Christ shall rise first: (Speaking of the SAME FIRST resurrection in Revelation 20:4-6) 17. Then WE which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with THEM (Speaking of the just resurrected and now GLORIFIED SAINTS IN Jesus Christ) in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall WE ever be with the Lord. 18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” Now let us read Revelation 20:1-7 so you can clearly see that the FIRST resurrection takes place AT the second coming of Jesus and the LAST and FINAL resurrection takes place AFTER the 1000 year reign of Jesus and the glorified SAINTS IN Jesus has ENDED. Revelation 20:1-7. “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, (This will be fulfilled AT the second coming of Jesus right before the 1000 year reign of Jessu begins) 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, TILL the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that, he must be loosed a little season. (This verse is teaching us the Satan will not be able to deceive the MORTAL humans who will be dwelling on the surface of the earth during the Millennium while Jesus and the now glorified Christians rule and reign over them for 1000 years. The lifespan of the mortals will be 100 years old. They will marry and have children just like this present world. But those of us who are IN Jesus in this PRESENT world will be IMMORTAL. And we who will have received immortality AT the coming of Jesus will teach them about how to be saved IN Jesus Christ DURING the world to come which is an AGE that will END after 1000 years. Those saved DURING the Millennium will be the LAST of the FIRSTFRUITS to be saved. Jesus was the FIRST of the firstfruits unto God. Those saved IN Jesus in this PRESENT world will be the SECOND FIRSTFRUITS unto God AT the coming of Jesus right BEFORE the Millennium. And the THIRD group of FIRSTFRUITS that will be saved IN Jesus as well will be DURING the Millennium. And THEY will receive eternal life at the END of the 1000 year reign of Jesus. See 1 Corinthians 15:19-28 and read the study “WHAT DOES CORINTHIANS 15:23 TRULY MEAN?” But nowhere in the Bible doe is even IMPLY that some FOURTH group of people will be saved IN the lake of fire which is wrongly interpreted as a PURIFYING fire. Please read the study “IS THE LAKE OF FIRE A REFINING FIRE?”) 4. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned WITH Christ a thousand years. 5. But the REST of the dead lived NOT again UNTIL the thousand years were FINISHED. This is the FIRST resurrection. (Speaking of the resurrection that will take place at the RAPTURE of the CHURCH immediately AFTER the period of GREAT but right BEFORE the WRATH of God) 6. BLESSED and HOLY is he that has part in the FIRST resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, (Because they will have just received IMMORTAL glorified bodies just like Jesus during the rapture of the CHURCH right before Jesus executed the WRATH of God upon the wicked and the disobedient to the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ) but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign WITH him a thousand years. 7. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,” The UNSAVED of BOTH of the worlds have NO HOPE of ever inheriting IMMORTALITY either in the world to come or at the END of the world to come UNLESS they RECEIVE the TRUTH of the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ by BELIEVING IN Jesus as the atonement for their sins. Roman 1:16. “For I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL of Christ: for IT (Speaking of the ONE and ONLY TRUE Gospel of Jesu Christ) is the POWER of God unto SALVATION to EVERYONE that BELIEVES; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” In other words, no faith IN Jesus, no SALVATION in Jesus because God ALSO chose to save the world BY the foolishness of PREACHING the one and only TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ. For you see a FALSE or PERVERTED gospel has NO power to save anyone. So those who are trusting in the FALSE gospel that they will eventually be saved in the end are trusting in a PERVERTED gospel that has no power to save anyone. It is IMPOSSIBLE to please God WITHOUT FAITH. Hebrews 11:6. “But WITHOUT FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to please him: for he that comes to God MUST BELIEVE that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Now let us read some of the verses that state as a FACT with no interpretation needed that we can NOT be saved UNLESS we BELIEVE IN Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God. And that means that ONLY those who BELIEVE IN Jesus as the atonement for their sin will be saved. And if you THINK that the lake of FIRE is some kind to PURIFYING fire to CLEANSE sinned from their sins then YOU are CRUCIFYING Jesus afresh by DENYING that Jesus is the Savoir that God himself raised up to save the people form their sins. You are saying that the sacrifice Jesus made is NOT good enough and that God needs to FINISH the job of saving people by the lake of fire. Here are some of the verses that prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that WITHOUT FAITH IN Jesus there is NO SALVATION and IMMORTAL LIFE. Mark 16:16. “He that BELIEVES and is baptized shall be SAVED; but he that believes NOT shall be DAMNED.” John 3:15-18. “That whosoever BELIEVES IN him should NOT PERISH, but have eternal life. 16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVES IN him should NOT PERISH, but have everlasting life. 17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18. He that BELIEVES on him is NOT CONDEMNED: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:36. “He that BELIEVES on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall NOT SEE LIFE; but the wrath of God abides on him.” 1 John 5:9-12. “If we receive the witness of men, (Or if we wrongly believe the false teachings of men) the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he has testified of his Son. 10. He that BELIEVES on the Son of God has the witness in himself: he that believes not God has made him a LIAR; (And ALL LIARS will have their part in the lake of fire which is the second death. Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”) BECAUSE he believes not the record that God gave of his Son. 11. And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is IN his Son. 12. He that HAS the Son has life; and he that has NOT the Son of God has NOT LIFE.” Hebrews 3:10-14. “Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway ERR in their heart; and they have not known my ways. 11. So I sware in my wrath, They shall NOT enter into my REST.) 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13. But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14. For we are made partakers of Christ, IF we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the END;”
Hebrews 3:18. “And to WHOM sware he that they should NOT enter into his rest, but to THEM that believed NOT? 19. So we see that THEY could NOT enter in BECUASE of UNBELIEF.” Hebrews 4:6-11. “And in this place again, IF they shall enter into my rest. 6. Seeing therefore it remains that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered NOT in because of unbelief: 7. Again, he LIMITS a certain day, (Speaking of this present world) saying in David, TODAY, after so long a time; as it is said, TODAY (Speaking of the world to come, the Millennium or the 1000 year reign of Jesus) IF you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8. For if Jesus had given them REST, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 9. There remains, therefore, a rest to the PEOPLE of God. (Speaking of the REMNANT of God’s CHOSEN people the children of Isreal who SURVIVE the WRATH of God when God turns to them a SECOND time DURING the 1000 year reign of Jesus. In other words, if a Jew REJECT Jesus now in this present world and the die before Jesus returns then they are LOST and they have NO HOPE of being saved) 10. For he that IS entered into his REST, (By trusting is Jesus as your Lord and Savior) he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11. Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” Revelation 21:5-8. “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. (Speaking of AFTER the FINAL Day of Judgment that is after the second half of God’s WRATH which is after the final war at the END of the Millenium) And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7. He that OVERCOMES shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8. BUT the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” 1 John 5:4,5. “For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. 5. WHO is he that OVERCOMES the world, but he that BELIEVES that Jesus is the Son of God?” Revelation 2:7. “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; To him that OVERCOMES will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” Revevlation 2:11. “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; He that OVERCOMES shall NOT be hurt of the second death.” Revelation 2:26. “And he that OVERCOMES, and KEEPS my works unto the END, to him will I give power over the nations:” Revelation 3:5. “He that OVERCOMES, the SAME shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will NOT BLOT OUT his name OUT of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” Revelation 3:12. “Him that OVERCOMES will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.” Revelation 3:21. “To him that OVERCOMES will I grant to sit WITH ME in my throne, even as I ALSO OVERCAME, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” Revelation 14:11. “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11. And the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever: and they have NO REST day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name.” I could go on and on with many many more verses of SOUND Biblical evidence that proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that the way that leads to DESTRUCTION is broad and MANY will end up going the way that leads to their destruction in the lake of fire on the final Day of Judgment. But rather than doing it all in one study I have decided to write several smaller in-depth studies that are focused on the verses that are used to TRY and support the doctrine of universalism that EVERYONE will eventually be saved.
