This is part 3 of the series of studies on “ARE SABBATH KEEPERS RIGHT?” In part 2 we learned that the New Covenant is DIFFERENT from the Old Covenant. We also learned that the ceremonial laws were added UNTIL Christ came. We learned that the ceremonial laws were a schoolmaster to lead the children of Israel to Jesus. And thus, when a Jew accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior, then they are no longer under that law to keep those ceremonial commandments. And we learned that God did not actually ABOLISH ANY of His commandments themselves. But rather, it was the ORDINANCES contained in the ceremonial commandments that Jesus abolished and nailed to the cross. We left off with the question on HOW to come into the UNITY of faith for all Christians to believe and teach the SAME things. Now, in the past the CONTROVERSY went something like this. One side would argue and say, just believe what WE teach and everything will be fine. And the other side would say, no, you just accept and believe what WE teach, and then everything will be fine. In other words, each opposing side would say, WE are right and you are wrong. And the other side would say, sorry! Not going to happen. We are not going to change what we believe. So the old way of settling this controversy is not going to work. For you see, BOTH sides sincerely and truly believe with all their heart that THEY are teaching the TRUTH and the OTHER side is wrong being deceived by the devil. Well again, I myself see a LITTLE truth on BOTH sides and at the same time I also see a LITTLE error on BOTH sides as well. So then, let us KEEP the truth from BOTH sides and throw away the ERROR on BOTH sides in order to come into the UNITY of the faith where we all speak the SAME thing on the matter of the FOURTH commandment. For once Christians see that TRUTH that we ARE keeping ALL of the commandments of God by our FAITH in Jesus and obeying the commandments under the NEW Covenant written in the NEW Testament, then they will know WHY the early church gave no such commandment to keep the Law of Moses. Let us continue to find things that we ALL agree upon.

Do you agree that the handwriting of ORDINANCES that was against us, which was CONTRARY to us, which none of the father's of Israel nor the disciples of Jesus were able to bear were BLOTTED OUT, and took it OUT of the WAY, NAILING it, speaking of ALL the law of commandments CONTAINED in ORDINANCE, to his cross? Please read Colossians 2:14 again along with Acts 15:10, Ephesians 2:8-18, and Hebrews 1:14. Do NOT try and interpret the words, but rather, simply READ the words. YES_______ NO________
Good! I am blessed to hear that you do indeed AGREE with the clear, plain, and simple word of God stated as FACT with absolutely NO interpretation needed. The Bible itself teaches us in SIMPLICITY that it was the handwriting of ORDINANCES that were nailed to the cross and NOT the commandments themselves that were nailed to the cross and BLOTTED OUT. The Bible ITSELF does NOT state that the TEN Commandments were nailed to the cross. And neither does God's word say that the FOURTH commandment was nailed to the cross. However, the Bible does indeed plainly state as a FACT that the handwriting of ORDINANCES was blotted out, taken out of the way and nailed to the cross. And the CONTEXT in Colossians 2:20,21 clearly DEFINES what is meant by the word “ORDINANCES”, do not touch, taste of handle. And verse 16 says THEREFORE, or for this very REASON, do not allow any man to JUDGE you in regard to the dietary laws, the yearly feast days, the monthly new moon festivals, AND the Sabbath DAYS. WHAT REASON? The reason that the handwriting of ORDINANCES were blotted OUT and nailed to the cross. Jesus FULFILLED the SHADOWS of those ORDINANCES written by the hand of Moses under the Old Covenant. And by our faith in Jesus to REST in God’s righteousness we ARE KEEPING the TRUE Sabbath REST. Remember the title of this study in God's word?
THE SABBATH KEEPERS ARE RIGHT!
Well, NON Sabbath DAY keeping Christians ARE KEEPING the TRUE Sabbath REST by resting in Jesus and the New Covenant for our righteousness. Jesus is the END of the LAW for righteousness. However, all of the seventh DAY of the week Sabbath-keeping Christians are TEMPTING God, according to Acts 15:10. They have fallen from grace according to Galatians 5:4. They are NOT walking uprightly in the TRUTH of the gospel, according to Galatians 2:14. And according to Galatians 2:21 and Galatians 5:1-3, the Christians who keep the Law of Moses, then their faith in Jesus profits them NOTHING and for THEM Jesus died in VAIN. That is why Peter WARNS Christians to not wrestle or twist the teachings of Paul because they are doing so to their OWN DESTRUCTION. Peter says grow in GRACE and in the KNOWLEDGE of Jesus. But the seventh DAY of the week-keeping Christians desire to be teachers of the LAW to grow in the knowledge of keeping the Law of Moses under the Old Covenant. And I believe that part of the problem is that Christians SAY things in DIFFERENT ways where one side THINKS that we are saying something that we are NOT TRULY saying. And thus, those misunderstandings add to the CONTROVERSY. Now Sabbath keeping Christians understand perfectly that God did NOT ABOLISH any of the TEN Commandments, and they are “technically” correct on that ONE point. And thus, THEY sincerely believe with all their heart that all Christians MUST, without fail, keep the FOURTH commandment by RESTING from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday as it states in the ORDINANCES written by the hand of Moses in the Old Testament under the Old Covenant. And I now see their SIDE for WHY they do not understand how God can give TEN Commandments and then later throw ONE of the Ten Commandments out. And to them it makes no sense for God to ABOLISH ANY of His commandments. The TRUTH of the matter is that we, as Christians MUST KEEP the FOURTH commandment as well as ALL the commandments of God. AND I do believe that ALL Christians on BOTH sides do indeed believe this truth. Thus BOTH sides are saying the SAME thing but in DIFFERENT ways. What I mean by this is that BOTH sides are correct in saying that we MUST keep the commandments. But yet the NON Sabbath DAY keeping Christians do NOT REST on the SEVENTH DAY of the week. So in the eyes of the Sabbath DAY keeping Christians, we who do NOT REST on ANY DAY of the week are breaking the fourth commandment You see dear children of God, the ERROR that is causing the controversy is in HOW one INTERPRETS the WAY in which the fourth commandment is KEPT under the NEW Covenant? Please understand that I am NOT talking about CHANGING the DAY of REST from the SEVENTH day to the FIRST day or from Saturday to Sunday like the Roman Catholic Church does. But rather, I am talking about HOW do we KEEP the fourth commandment as taught under the NEW COVENANT written in the NEW Testament? Now, I may have lost some of you there, so let me say this another way. We all AGREE that the ORDINANCES were ABOLISHED, blotted out, taken out of the way, and nailed to the cross, according to Ephesians 2:2-15 and Colossians 2:8-17. I mean if words mean anything at all, then we MUST ALL AGREE that the clear, plain, and simple word of God teaches us in simplicity that the handwriting of ORDINANCES were ABOLISHED, blotted out, taken out of the way, and nailed to the cross. So unless you want to remove those words of Almighty God from the Bible, or TWIST them to fit you own personal interpretation to support your denominational teaching that Christians must keep the Law of Moses, then you MUST agree that the ORDINANCES were COMPLETELY ABOLISHED. And thus, Paul is teaching AGAINST being circumcised in the flesh and teaching AGAINST keeping the Law of Moses. Clearly, Paul teaches AGAINST COMPELLING Christians to KEEP the Law of Moses. But at the SAME time Paul WARNS Christians to keep all of the MORAL commandments of God. So then, are the feast days a MORAL law? No, all of the feast day Sabbaths do not have anything to do with the “morality” of a person. The same is true with the dietary laws, the new moon festivals, and the WEEKLY Sabbath days. So that is why NON Sabbath DAY keeping Christians call the law of commandment contained in ORDINANCES the “CEREMONIAL” commandments. And all of the other commandments that hurt other people when they are broken, we call them the “MORAL” commandments. Now, NONE of the moral commandments are SHADOWS. But ALL of the CEREMONIAL commandments are SHADOWS pointing to Jesus. In other words, the things or the instructions written in the ORDINANCES of the ceremonial laws DESCRIBE things that point to Jesus. For example, the easiest ceremonial law to see and understand as being a SHADOW pointing to Jesus is the feast of Passover. We all agree that the Passover lamb in the Old Testament is a PICTURE of Jesus as being the TRUE Passover Lamb. Now, we all agree that the LAW of SACRIFICE for the atonement for sins was never ABOLISHED. But rather, Jesus FULFILLED the LAW of SACRIFICE by BECOMING the ONE TRUE sacrifice to END the Old Testament law of sacrificing ANIMALS every year. And thus, God changed the WAY in which we KEEP the law of SACRIFICE. In other words, we ARE KEEPING that LAW of God concerning sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin by our FAITH in Jesus as being the TRUE sacrifice for our sins. And thus, if one is a Jewish Christian, then they are no longer UNDER the LAW to sacrifice ANIMALS ever again to be forgiven of their sins. In fact, God no longer ACCEPTS the OLD way of sacrifice and for any Christian to keep the OLD WAY is an insult to Almighty God and His Son, Jesus. They are TEMPTING God, according to Acts 15:10. So then, all of the ceremonial laws of physical worldly service to God did indeed exist as COMMANDMENTS under the OLD Covenant for the children of Israel to keep throughout THEIR generations. But now, under the New Covenant the WAY in which we ARE KEEPING those commandments is by our FAITH in Jesus. It was the ceremonial WAY of keeping them under the Old Covenant the Jesus ABOLISHED on the cross. They were RUDIMENTS of worldly service to God, which were SHADOWS pointing to the TRUE. And NOW we must worship God in Spirit and in TRUTH. So then, WHAT is an ORDINANCE? An ordinance is an authoritative command. The handwriting of ordinances written by the hand of Moses are the DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS on HOW to keep the CEREMONIAL RUDIMENTARY ELEMENTS of the LAW of God. And the HOW TO instructions of HOW to keep the Sabbath day of REST were written in ORDINANCES. And those ordinances were things like, do not pick up any sticks, do not kindle a fire, do not walk more than a Sabbath day’s journey on the Sabbath day of REST. In other words, the ordinances written in the fourth commandment were the INSTRUCTIONS on HOW to REST. And under the OLD Covenant, one of the HOW TO instructions was to rest on the SEVENTH day of the WEEK. And it is the HOW to INSTRUCTIONS called the law of commandments CONTAINED in ORDINANCES that were ABOLISHED and nailed to the cross of Jesus. So then, it was the HOW to keep the commandments that were BLOTTED OUT and taken out of the way by being FULFILLED by the shed blood of Jesus on the cross. Sure, Jesus kept the ceremonial commandments, but that is NOT how Jesus FULFILLED those laws of God. Jesus fulfilled the law by fulfilling the SHADOWS depicted in the written ORDINANCES. Again, written in the ORDINANCES on HOW to KEEP the feast of Passover are WORDS describing Jesus as the Lamb SLAIN from the foundation of the world. God needed to keep His plan of salvation a SECRET or a MYSTERY from His enemy, Satan the Devil. For you see, had Satan known, then he would not have crucified the Lord of glory. That is why some of the ceremonial commandments are not as obvious as the feast of Passover. But nonetheless, ALL of the ordinances in ALL of the ceremonial commandments have been abolished and nailed to the cross. And to me, for a Christian to KEEP what Jesus ABOLISHED is like a slap in the face of God and His Son. It is like saying that the sacrifice of Jesus was not good enough for you. And thus, you conclude that you have to keep BOTH the New Covenant and the Old Covenant in order to PLEASE God. But in truth, the Christians trying to keep the Law of Moses are actually DISPLEASING God and even TEMPTING God, according to Acts 15:10. Peter said that neither the Apostles of Jesus nor their father before them were able to BEAR the Law of Moses. And in Acts 15:24 the WHOLE church was in agreement to give no such commandment to be circumcised in the flesh or to keep the Law of Moses. For you see, Paul understood that Jesus is our TRUE circumcision. Paul said that in Jesus you ARE circumcised with the circumcision made WITHOUT hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. So then, the NEW WAY of KEEPING the law of circumcision is by our FAITH in Jesus who cut away the sins of our flesh. So again, in the New Testament under the NEW COVENANT we ARE KEEPING the fourth commandment of keeping the Sabbath REST. But we keep the Sabbath REST in a different WAY. The HOW to keep the Sabbath rest under the NEW Covenant is to REST in Jesus and his righteousness to CEASE from our OWN works of righteousness. Jesus has become OUR TRUE Sabbath rest the same as Jesus has become OUR TRUE circumcision made without hands. Now let me PROVE this to you by the word of TRUTH!
Go back and read Colossians 2:10-14.
“And you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power:(Being COMPLETE means that all we need to be saved and receive eternal life in the world to come is in HIM, or in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. If we honor NOT the Son we honor NOT Almighty God the Father. So everything we need to be saved and to receive eternal life is in Jesus) 11. In WHOM also you ARE circumcised with the circumcision made WITHOUT hands, (Not without any hands, but rather, without the hands of man circumcising you in the FLESH. The ceremonial works that God commanded the children of Israel to keep was to TEACH them about Jesus and the NEW Covenant. But we who are in Jesus Christ have ALREADY learned the TRUE meaning of those SHADOWS pointing to the Messiah. Thus WE, as Christians, ARE KEEPING the LAW of CIRCUMCISION by RESTING in the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ that we ARE circumcised by the HANDS of Almighty God Himself through His Son Jesus, and NOT by the hands of our OWN works) in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh BY the CIRCUMCISION of Christ: (So then, it was the HOW to keep that law of circumcision or the written ORDINANCES of circumcision or the instructions on how to circumcise the male child on the eighth day that was nailed to the cross. It was NOT the commandment to be circumcised that was ABOLISHED. And now by FAITH in Jesus we are keeping the NEW WAY to be circumcised made WITHOUT hands under the NEW Covenant. And in the same way we ARE keeping the TRUE REST by our FAITH in Jesus. The word Sabbath means REST. So the TRUE Sabbath means the TRUE REST and the TRUE REST is Jesus) 12. Buried with him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with him through the FAITH of the OPERATION OF God, who has raised him from the dead. (In other words, we are NEW creatures in Jesus by the OPERATION of Almighty God Himself to become His workmanship and NOT our OWN workmanship) 13. And you, being DEAD in your sins AND (DEAD in) the circumcision of your FLESH, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; (ONE such doctrine of VAIN DECEIT is the teaching by the Jewish Judaizing Christians that Gentile Christians MUST be circumcised in the FLESH made with hands and keep all the Law of Moses. And that is what Paul is teaching AGAINST. Paul also wrote Ephesians 2:8-15. And the not being saved by WORKS is speaking of the works of the LAW CONTAINED in ORDINANCES. We all know full well that circumcision in the FLESH profits us NOTHING under the NEW Covenant. Thus, those of you, who are yet TRUSTING in your FLESH are DEAD in your sins. Jesus has forgiven you of all your sins AND your being DEAD in the circumcision of your FLESH) 14. BLOTTING OUT the handwriting of ORDINANCES (Or Jesus blotted out the INSTRUCTIONS of HOW to keep the commandments of God under the Old Covenant) that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, NAILING it to his cross;”
Some Christians argue saying, how can resting on the seventh day be against us? RESTING on the seventh day was just one of the ORDINANCES on how to keep the fourth commandment. But ALL of the ordinances are blotted out and nailed to the cross by being FULFILLED by Jesus. There was the stoning to death of your own family member who picked up sticks to kindle a fire to cook a meal to feed their family. That ORDINANCE was AGAINST the children of Israel. So THANK God that Jesus BLOTTED OUT those handwriting of ORDINANCES so that we do not have to stone to death one of our own family members for picking up sticks to kindle a fire to cook a meal to eat because they were hungry. The PUNISHMENTS for breaking the fourth commandment was so HARSH for a REASON. And that reason is that the weekly Sabbath was a SIGN pointing to the PERPETUAL Covenant, speaking of God’s NEW Covenant. For you see, when we are RESTING in Jesus for salvation, then there is no more PENALTY of DEATH. So that ORDINANCE of DEATH was BLOTTED OUT and nailed to the cross. So then, the prophecy found in Hosea 2:11 was fulfilled at the CROSS and God caused ALL of the feast days and Sabbath DAYS to CEASE by NAILING ALL handwriting of ORDINANCES that were placed on the OUTSIDE of the Ark of the Covenant to the cross. And thus, they ALL were blotted out and taken away INCLUDING the resting on a DAY every week by being FULFILLED by the shed blood of Jesus on the cross. In other words, the LAW of CIRCUMCISION ITSELF was NOT abolished, but rather, the SHADOWS described written in the ORDINANCES were FULFILLED by Jesus. And NOW under the NEW covenant, Jesus is our true circumcision. And by RESTING in Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are KEEPING the law of circumcision by being circumcised by the hands of Almighty God with the TRUE SPIRITUAL circumcision, which God planned all along. You see dear children of God, Yahweh only BEGAN this so great a salvation with the RUDIMENTS or the ELEMENTS of carnal worldly service. Also, Yahweh commanded ONLY the children of Israel to keep the ADDED commandments written in the Law of Moses for THEM to keep throughout THEIR generations. And God did that for THEM to LEARN what He was teaching them one step at a time in order to keep His plan of salvation SECRET from the enemy. For had the enemy known, then they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. When you look up the meaning of the Greek word “KATALYO or kataluo”, which is translated as “destroy” in Matthew 5:17-19 in the King James Version and as “abolish” in some other translations, then you will find that the correct translation should have been Jesus did not come to COMPLETELY destroy. In other words, the only PART of the law of circumcision that was indeed ABOLISHED at the cross, was the HOW to be circumcised in the FLESH made with hands PART contained in ORDINANCES. To say this another way it was the INSTRUCTIONS given in the OLD Testament of keeping the carnal works of God done in the flesh or the WORKS of our OWN hands was what was nailed to the cross and not the actual law of circumcision itself. So again, it was the PHYSICAL keeping of the WORK of cutting of the flesh made with hands to circumcise the physical flesh being given by God as a BEGINNING of an INCOMPLETE principle. The law was added UNTIL Christ came. So then, the ORDINANCE in the law of circumcision was a SHADOW pointing to our TRUE circumcision being the SPIRITUAL WORK of His Son, Jesus. And thus, we ARE circumcised with the NEW circumcision of the HEART made WITHOUT OUR hands or our OWN WORK of the carnal works of worldly service to God. And in the same way the carnal ordinances of ceremonial services to God done in the FLESH by the WORK of our OWN hands of keeping a physical day of the week to REST from PHYSICAL work was a SHADOW pointing to our TRUE SPIRITUAL REST of CEASING from the WORK of the PHYSICAL ORDINANCES of HOW to keep the Sabbath day of REST under the OLD covenant. The fourth commandment ITSELF has NOT been abolished as some Sunday keeping Christians have wrongly taught. And thus, they ALSO have ERRED by the WAY that they are trying to explain why Christians are NOT taught in the New Testament under the NEW covenant to keep the Sabbath DAY as a DAY of rest as the Jews. God did not change a DAY of rest to ANOTHER weekly DAY of rest! But rather, God fulfilled the ORDINANCE of HOW to keep Sabbath or how to keep REST from resting on a DAY of the week to now RESTING in His SON Jesus for righteousness and holiness! So when we rest in Jesus we are keeping the fourth commandment of our TRUE Sabbath REST. So again, BOTH sides have a little error and both sides have a little truth. Again, let us KEEP the truth and throw out the error. Many of you are beginning to understand now that Jesus did not come to COMPLETELY destroy ANY of the LAW of God. But rather, Jesus came to FULFILL that PART of the law of God, which was against us that were only SHADOWS pointing to the TRUE. Jesus ESTABLISHED and made firm law when he FULFILLED the shadows written in the ORDINANCES. Can you not see, that by Jesus FULFILLING PROPHECY he made FIRM and established PROPHECY to be TRUE? That is what the phrase “we established the law” means that we hold up the law to PROVE that Jesus is the Messiah. The law testifies of Jesus by the SHADOWS written in the ORDINANCES of the law pointing to Jesus as the Messiah. So then, the PURPOSE of the ordinances contained in the law of commandment was a SCHOOLMASTER to lead the children of Israel to Jesus. And once Jesus came, then they are no longer under the ORDINANCES instructing HOW to keep those ceremonial commandments under the Old Covenant written in the Old Testament. So then, God's Sabbath REST still yet remains for us to KEEP, but the HOW to keep part of God's Sabbath REST had CHANGED. The Law of Moses was ONLY given to the children of Israel for THEM to keep throughout THEIR generations. And the REASON that the Law of Moses was added UNTIL Christ was for the children of Israel to LEARN WHY and WHO delivered them from the BONDAGE of SLAVERY in the land of Egypt. Yet most of Israel has not LEARNED the TRUE meaning of the SHADOWS of ordinances or instructions of the carnal worldly services given to them by God are pointing to God's Son Jesus as the Messiah or their deliverer from their sins. But no such commandment to keep the Law of Moses was ever given to any Gentile Christian, according to Acts 15:1–24. Now, one of the most widely used arguments for the keeping of the seventh DAY of the week as a DAY of rest as the Jews under the Old Covenant are the words of Jesus found in Matthew 5:17-19. But when we use the correct meaning of the Greek word “KATALYO or Kataluo”, which again means to completely destroy or to totally abolish, then we can see that the only part of the commandments that Jesus abolished were the ORDINANCES or the HOW to keep instructions. And when Jesus fulfilled the shadows in those ordinances, God CHANGED the WAY in which we now KEEP the commandments under the New Covenant written in the New Testament. Let us go ahead and read Matthew 5:17,18 using the literal meaning of the Greek word “KATALYO or Kataluo”.
Matthew 5:17,18.
“Think not that I am come to UTTERLYDESTROY or to COMPLETELY ABOLISH the law, OR the prophets: I am not come to UTTERLY or COMPLETELY DESTROY, but to FULFILL. 18. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, TILL all be FULFILLED.”
So the end goal is for Jesus to FULFILL every jot and title of the law. But Jesus did not come to COMPLETELY destroy the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sin, but rather, Jesus FULFILLED the law contained in ORDINANCES as to the HOW to PART or the WAY in which blood is to be shed for the forgiveness of sin. The OLD rudiment of the world pertaining to the shedding of blood for sins was the offering of animal sacrifices every year, which pointed to the TRUE LAMB. And the TRUE sacrifice God Himself would sacrifice ONCE by His ordaining the shed blood of His human Son, Jesus. And God did this so that there would be no MORE animal sacrifices. And thus, no more WORKS of the LAW to make sacrifices. Jesus FULFILLED the LAW but he did not COMPLETELY ABOLISH the whole law. The law of sacrifice REMAINS in FORCE, but the WAY of sacrifice has CHANGED. So then, God did not ABOLISH the shedding of blood for sins, but only abolished that PART of shedding of blood contained in ORDINANCES, which were the how to rudimentary worldly carnal physical ceremonial ritual services to God commanded in the Old Testament under the OLD covenant. And the ORDINANCES instructed ANIMAL sacrifices along with how and when they were to be sacrificed. Jesus ABOLISHED ALL of those ORDINANCES. And now, we KEEP the LAW of sacrifice by FAITH in God’s NEW Covenant written in the NEW Testament. For you see, the INSTRUCTIONS on HOW to keep the New Covenant are ONLY written in the NEW Testament. So if you want to receive eternal life in the world to come then, obey the NEW Testament instructions. You see, if God abolished the LAW of the sacrifice of shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sin, then repenting of our sins would be in VAIN and profit us nothing. In other words, we would still need something for the atonement for sin. So God kept the law of sacrifice ITSELF, but the WAY in which we NOW receive atonement has CHANGED. It is now by FAITH trusting and resting in Jesus as being our TRUE sacrifice for sins. Once again, the keeping of carnal worldly services to God made by human hands of the flesh of sacrificing of the PHYSICAL lambs for the forgiveness of sins was a SHADOW pointing to the TRUE LAMB of God. So when God PROMISED the children of Israel a NEW COVENANT, then he also promised to raise up a Savior which He HIMSELF would provide in the fullness of time. And one reason that God did this was so that no man could BOAST in the WORK of his OWN hands. Again, we are NOT under the ORDINANCES or OLD HOW to authoritative instructions of the WAY to keep the law of God given ONLY to the children of Israel under the OLD covenant for THEM to keep throughout THEIR generations. But rather, we are under the law of FAITH in Christ to KEEP God’s law in the TRUE SPIRITUAL manner, which was His plan all along the way. So then, the ONLY part of the law that was ABOLISHED was the carnal worldly CEREMONIAL or RITUAL services, which God gave ONLY to the children of Israel to keep as TEACHING tools, so to speak. The law was filled with SHADOWS that were a SCHOOLMASTER pointing to the TRUE, which was yet to come when the Messiah came. Now to be fair to both sides, another error of some Sunday Christians is that Jesus kept the law FOR us. And thus, to THEM, that means that Christians do NOT have to keep ANY of the law. However, nowhere in the Bible itself does it say that we are saved by grace ALONE. Please read the study F-2. Is ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED BIBLICAL? No! Many thousands of times no! Jesus did not keep the MORAL law FOR us so that he could turn around to completely destroy and totally abolish all of the MORAL law of God. Jesus said NOT one jot or tittle of the LAW, speaking of the CEREMONIAL law that was added UNTIL Christ came. And even then, it was the PART of the law called the ordinances that was and will yet be FULFILLED in Jesus. So then, NONE of the law ITSELF shall NOT pass away till all be FULFILLED. More on this later, but for now I want you to see that we are NOW under the LAW of CHRIST to follow and OBEY the words, teachings, instructions, and commandments of God's Son Jesus in the New Testament under the NEW covenant.

“Bear you one another's burdens, and so FULFILL the law of Christ.”
So when we obey the teachings of Jesus and his Apostles in the New Testament we FULFILL the law of Jesus Christ. And by FULFILLING the law of Christ we FULFILL the WHOLE DUTY of man. This agrees with the rest of the words written in the NEW covenant to walk in LOVE. We are commanded under the New Covenant to love one another even as Jesus loves us, and to love one another even as we love ourselves. We are under GRACE and the law of FAITH being under the NEW covenant. Jesus gave us TWO commandments saying that ALL the law is fulfilled by keeping those two commandments.

“Now we know that what things so ever the law says, it says to them who are UNDER the LAW (In other words, if you were a Jew, who was under the OLD covenant LAW of God, then you were to obey the ORDINANCES, the TEACHINGS, the INSTRUCTIONS, the things written in the OLD Testament. But NOW we are under a NEW covenant where we are given NEW ORDINANCES, NEW WORDS, NEW teachings, and a NEW WAY of KEEPING ALL the laws of God) that or (So that) every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. (It was God's GRACE as to why God CONCLUDED ALL of mankind under sin. See Galatians chapter 3. Now, this does not mean that the REASON WHY God concluded ALL of mankind GUILTY before him was so that God condemns everyone to death. But rather, it is because God desires for ALL men to be SAVED by coming to the knowledge of the TRUTH. One such knowledge of the truth is that God had a PLAN to save mankind BEFORE God ever created mankind. So to have a correct understanding of God's word we must see the BIG picture. Please read the study E-9. God's WORD is like a JIGSAW PUZZLE!) 20. Therefore, by the DEEDS (Or the WORKS contained in ordinances) of the law there shall no flesh be JUSTIFIED in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Now in truth, this verse is a little misleading, especially when you see the big picture of WHY the first covenant was made. It was the law contained in ordinances that was added until Christ came. Also, the Law of Moses given ONLY to the children of Israel to keep as a SHADOW to UNDERSTAND the TRUE, and the Jews as a whole, MISSED the seeing that Jesus was their Messiah. Let us read this verse as it literally reads, “The WORKS of the law contained in ORDINANCES shall no man be JUSTIFIED. For through the law the VIEWING of HIM is knowledge of what is being MISSED”. The word translated as sin also means what is MISSED, something failed to do, or something failed to see and understand. In other words, the ORDINANCES of the law were given to the children of Israel as a SCHOOLMASTER to teach them about their Messiah, which they MISSED seeing and understanding. The ordinances of the law contained the KNOWLEDGE pointing to the TRUE, which most of the children of Israel MISSED seeing and understanding) 21. But NOW the righteousness of God WITHOUT the law is manifested (Or made clearly known to us) being WITNESSED by (Or THROUGH) the law and the prophets; (This means that the NEW covenant was PROPHESIED by the law and the prophets to come. This means that the CEREMONIAL laws were a WITNESS pointing to Jesus to what Israel as a nation MISSED seeing. The NEW covenant was God's plan of salvation all along. God has NEVER CHANGED and there is no variableness of turning in him. God's plan of salvation was made by God before the foundation of the world for ALL of mankind to be SAVED in His SON Jesus and NOT by their OWN good works done in their OWN strength so they could BOAST in themselves. Paul himself understood that the MORAL law of God was NEVER in question. He knew in his OWN mind that he was speaking of the ceremonial law and just assumed that everyone understood that all of mankind has always been and always will be under the MORAL law of God. For you see, the very day Adam ate of the tree of KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL all of mankind from that day forward was given a CONSCIENCE by Almighty God to KNOW right from wrong. So man already had KNOWLEDGE of SIN in their CONSCIENCE before the LAW contained in ordinances was ADDED because of sin UNTIL Christ. The law was ADDED because OF TRANSGRESSIONS of the MORAL law of our God-given conscience. Now, HOW can one transgress something that was NOT YET given to them to keep? God's people were already transgressing God's MORAL law before the Law of Moses. So then, what was ADDED were the CEREMONIAL laws and the ORDINANCES of how to keep the ceremonial law. And those ordinances are HIDDEN SHADOWS pointing to Jesus, which Jesus FULFILLED. The Sabbath was a SIGN pointing to Jesus as our TRUE rest. Please read the study called Dd-13. Is JESUS OUR TRUE SABBATH REST? But for now, please understand that TRUE righteousness does not come by the DEEDS of the law contained in ORDINANCES, which was WITNESSED by the law and the prophets being SHADOWS point to the TRUE, which we as Christians KNOW to be Jesus the Son of the living God) 22. Even the righteousness of God which is BY FAITH OF Jesus Christ unto all and upon ALL them that BELIEVE: for there is no difference: (In the eyes of God there are NO Jews and there are NO Gentiles when one BELIEVES the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ) 23. For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (And if you say that you have never sinned you are BOASTING in the eyes of God and therefore GUILTY before HIM who created you. Therefore you will be WITHOUT any excuse on the day of judgment to say, but I did not know for you are reading this right now. You must BELIEVE in Jesus to be made the TRUE righteousness of God) 24. Being justified FREELY by his grace through the redemption that is IN Christ Jesus: 25. Whom God has set forth (Appointed or ordained before the foundation of the world) to be a propitiation through FAITH in his blood, (Again, God did NOT abolish the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sin. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. So then it was the OLD WAY of HOW the sacrifice was to be offered by carnal DEEDS of the law that was ABOLISHED and NOT the law ITSELF. What law? The MORAL law? No! It was the CEREMONIAL ritual law ORDINANCES) to declare HIS righteousness for the remission of sins that are PAST, through the forbearance of God; 26. To declare, I say, at this time HIS righteousness: that He (Almighty God Himself) might be just, and the JUSTIFIER of him which believes in Jesus. (God wants us to be HIS workmanship and NOT our OWN workmanship. God gave the children of Israel the Sabbath REST as a SIGN for them to REMEMBER that He brought them out of the BONDAGE of SLAVERY in the land of Egypt by the hand of Moses. God wants them to know that it was He who gave them REST from what they were made to do which they did not want to do. God wanted, and still yet desires, Israel to SEE that the Sabbath REST was a SHADOW pointing to their TRUE REST of Jesus being their MESSIAH. God desires Israel to see that it was Jesus who suffered and died for THEM on the cross to redeem them for the BONDAGE of SIN to set them FREE from the BONDAGE of sin. God wants us ALL to know that sin has no more DOMINION over us when we REST in His Son Jesus and the WORDS of the NEW Covenant) 27. Where is BOASTING then? It is EXCLUDED.(Is boasting then excluded) By what LAW? Of WORKS? Nay: but (Or rather BOASTING is EXCLUDED once and for all time) by the LAW of FAITH. 28. Therefore, we conclude that a man is justified by faith WITHOUT the DEEDS of the law. (Now I myself did not CONCLUDE this. These are not MY words. Please understand that it is Almighty God HIMSELF, who CONCLUDED that ALL of mankind to be under sin and GUILTY before HIM. And God did that so that He could shed forth His mercy and His grace to redeem ALL of mankind FREELY without any WORKS of the law, both ceremonial and moral. Again, God did this so that God HIMSELF could end BOASTING, pride, and men comparing themselves with men as their standard of righteousness. God created us as His NEW creation for the PURPOSE to do good works of righteousness that EXCEEDS the works of the OLD Covenant. But at the same time the works we are required to do EXCLUDE ALL the ceremonial works of the law contained in ORDINANCES. And the keeping of a DAY of the WEEK is one of those CEREMONIAL works contained in ordinances. What some Christians have failed to see is that salvation is a TWO step process. Step ONE we are saved, AS IN, all of our PAST sins are forgiven and our inner man becomes a NEW creature that God created to do GOOD WORKS through HIS eternal power and strength and not our own strength wherein is boasting. And these good WORKS are indeed required to receive eternal life. Just disobey the Holy Spirit to prove this for yourself! The Holy Spirit will ALWAYS convict a true born-again Christian when he or she sins. I implore you to read the in-depth study called F-2. Is ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED BIBLICAL?) 29. Is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: 30. Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. 31. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we ESTABLISH the law.”
WHAT law? The law of WORKS? NAY! Paul is NOT contradicting himself. Yes, I know that nowhere does Paul actually say CEREMONIAL law and MORAL law, but that is what he is actually teaching us. Basically, Paul is saying here that Jesus did NOT come to COMPLETELY destroy and TOTALLY abolish the WHOLE LAW, but rather, Jesus came to completely destroy PART of the law, speaking of that PART of the law contained in ORDINANCES. For you see, many of those ordinances were AGAINST us and contrary to us, which none of the father's could keep nor are we able to bear. And ALSO, Jesus came to FULFILL or establish the MORAL part of the law, by keeping ALL the law, being perfect and spotless before God, to be crucified by the principalities of this present world as an INNOCENT man. God used an innocent MAN so He could redeem fallen MAN back to God and ESTABLISH that PART of the law NOT contained in ordinances. In other words, if the MAN Jesus could obey the MORAL commandments through the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in him, then every human that is saved in Jesus is ABLE to also obey all of the MORAL commandments by the same Holy Spirit dwelling in them. Jesus did not blot out the law contained in ORDINANCES to turn right back around ESTABLISH the law contained in ORDINANCES. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. But rather, Jesus abolished all the ceremonial laws contained in ordinances to establish the MORAL laws, so he could teach us a BETTER way or a more pleasing way to God to keep the TEN Commandments of God. For example, under the New Covenant to hate a person is the same as MURDERING a person. WHY? It is because meditating on hating a person can lead the one living in hate to HARM or even murder the person that they are constantly hating. Also, the Jews were so focused on keeping the LETTER of the law that they had no time to do good DEEDS to others. So while they did not harm others by their own actions they FAILED to HELP those that needed help. For other GOOD WORKS that God ordained us to do please read Matthew 25:31-46 on your own. We still keep the FOURTH commandment, but NOT in the same way. Israel kept the fourth commandment in the rudimentary PHYSICAL way of esteeming the Seventh DAY of the week above all other days of the week. But NOW under the NEW covenant we, as Christians, keep the TRUE SPIRITUAL Sabbath REST by our FAITH in God's SON Jesus. We no longer keep the SHADOW. We keep the TRUE, the substance of the SHADOW. Paul teaches us in Romans chapter 14 that we are NOT to esteem ANY day above any other day, but rather, we are to treat every day the same unto the Lord.
