D-30. Jesus is the FULFILLMENT of PROPHECY! DOWNLOAD to SAVE as a PDF Doc to read OFFLINE. D-30. Jesus is the FULFILLMENT of PROPHECY! Jesus himself said, “The SCRIPTURES testify of ME.” John 5:39,40. “SEARCH the Scriptures; for in them you THINK you have eternal life: and they are they which TESTIFY about me. 40. And (Or But) you will not come to me, that you might have LIFE.” In other words, the Scriptures are filled with PROPHECIES that are testimonies giving us EVIDENCE as PROOF that Jesus is who is said that he is. And the FULFILLMENT of those prophecies corroborate or CONFIRM the EVIDENCE given to us in the PROPHECIES. In other words, the FULFILLMENTS of the prophecies AGREE with what the PROPHECIES describe. And therefore, the EVIDENCE or the proof from the Old Testament must MATCH exactly with the EVIDENCE in the New Testament. To say this another way, the method of plan of salvation found in the Scriptures in the Old Testament gives us a “picture of Jesus”. And that PROPHETIC picture of God’s Messiah must MATCH the “picture of Jesus” found in the FULFILLMENT of the Scriptures in the New Testament. It is kind of like one of the methods of teaching small children showing them a group of PICTURES and asking them WHICH picture is NOT like the OTHER pictures, or which picture does not AGREE or FIT with the other pictures. And the children throw OUT the picture that looks DIFFERENT than the other pictures. In Matthew 18:3-6 and in Luke 18:16.17, Jesus said for us to be LIKE the little children or we cannot ENTER the Kingdom of heaven. So THINK of the PROPHECIES in the Old Testament as a group of PICTURES of Jesus that God the Father will bring to pass be FULFILLED in the FUTURE. In other words, the pictures of Jesus in the Old Testament are “descriptions” about the Messiah that God PROMISED that He would raise up as a Savior that had NOT YET happened in the Old Testament times BEFORE Jesus was BORN of the Virgin Mary. And if the “PICTURE” that you have of Jesus does NOT match or FIT with how the PROPHECIES picture or describe the Messiah whom we KNOW to be Jesus, then THROW out that incorrect picture of Jesus. Please read Acts 13:23. “Of this man's seed has God, according to His PROMISE, raised unto Israel a Savior, Jesus:” So then, the PROPHECIES in the Old Testament are the PROMISES of Almighty God, Yahweh, who will DO what He SAID He will DO, according to Isaiah 46:9-11 and other passages of Scripture that we will cover later. But for now, let us read Isaiah 46:9-11 and notice that God is ALONE and there is no one like Him in the Old Testament. Isaiah 46:9-11. “Remember the former things of OLD: (Or think back to the way it WAS in ancient times) for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, (That is the “PICTURE” of Almighty God, Yahweh, BEFORE He created the Universe. And it is a picture of God during the time BEFORE God created Adam. A time BEFORE God began SETTING His angels to become gods over different parts of His creation of the Universe. And the former things of OLD were ALSO during the time BEFORE His PROMISED Messiah or His PROMISED Savior was BORN of the Virgin Mary. For you see, a WAR broke out in heaven and God’s plan of Salvation will END that war forever, according to Revelation 12:7-9) 10. Declaring the END FROM the beginning, and FROM ANCIENT times the things that are NOT YET, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I WILL DO all My pleasure: (That is the sound Biblical definition of what PROPHECY means. God alone and by Himself SPEAKS forth His word of PROPHECY out from His MOUTH, according to Isaiah 55:8-11, DECLARING the END of what He desires to come to pass FROM the BEGINNING. In other words, the WAY that God chose to SAVE began as God’s THOUGHTS in His mind. Salvation is also called the WAY in the Bible, according to Matthew 7:14, John 14:6, Acts 16:17, Acts 18:25,26, Acts 24:24, Romans 3:13, and many other verses of Scripture. And the WAY started with thoughts in the mind of God as His PLAN of Salvation, His WAY that He chose to save and bring PEACE on the earth. And those thoughts in God’s mind were TOWARD an END goal that He Himself said He would bring to PASS or FULFILL. And ONE of those PROPHECIES of Yahweh’s Messiah is PROMISED in the next verse of Scripture, which will be FULFILLED at the RETURN of the Messiah Jesus to execute the WRATH of Almighty God) 11. Calling a ravenous bird from the east,(Or proclaiming a swooping down from the east) the MAN that executes My counsel (Or the MAN that executes My PLAN of Salvation to END the WAR waged against Me by Lucifer and bring PEACE on the earth) from a far country: (Or from far above the earth) yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.” So then, what God PROPHESIED, God will ALSO PERFORM or bring to PASS that which He PURPOSED from the beginning of His WAY. In other words, the word “BEGINNING” does not always mean the very beginning in the eternity past. For you see, WHY would God have a PLAN of Salvation BEFORE God ever created the Universe? That would make God an EVIL God. In other words, IF the “beginning of God’s WAY was in the eternity past, then that would consequently mean that God created EVIL. And IF God created evil, then that would mean that God PURPOSED or ORDAINED Lucifer to rebel and wage WAR against Him. And it would also mean that God PURPOSED or ORDAINED Adam to FALL. And that is NOT the “TRUE PICTURE” of God in the Bible. Always remember to MATCH the pictures from the Old Testament to the pictures in the New Testament! In other words, use the pictures of God in the New Testament and FIT the pictures of God in the Old Testament to MATCH or FIT the pictures of God in the New Testament. And then, THROW OUT the pictures of God that do not fit the WHOLE word of Almighty God. Always interpret every verse of Scripture in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. So then, AT FIRST, the WAY of God was the word of PROPHECY. And the PROPHECY was TOWARD an END goal. And the PROPHECIES are all about the MESSIAH or the Savior who God PROMISED to RAISE unto Israel, according to Acts 13:23, which we already read at the beginning of this study. But how does PROPHECY help us UNDERSTAND who Jesus himself is saying that he is? Remember to look at the “PICTURES” that we have been given of Jesus by the many different church denominations to find the picture of Jesus that MATCHES or FITS with the “PICTURES of the Messiah” being described in the PROPHECIES. And then, THROW OUT all of the TRADITIONAL church denominational pictures of Jesus that do NOT match or fit what the PROPHECIES are saying. With that being said, let us move on to see WHO Jesus says that he is when he said the SCRIPTURES TESTIFY of him. In other words, the TRUE Jesus of the Bible is described perfectly for us in the PROPHECIES concerning the Messiah or the Savior that God PROMISED to RAISE unto Israel. Now, in John 5:19–47, Jesus is talking to the Jews that did NOT believe that Jesus was the Messiah, the one PROPHESIED in the Scriptures to come. And in John 8:24, Jesus warned the unbelieving Jews again that if they did not believe that Jesus is who he said he is, then they would remain DEAD in their SINS. But let us read John 8:24 in its CONTEXT. Please read John 8:23-30. “And he said unto them, You are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world. (Now, is Jesus saying that he came down from heaven above? Or is Jesus saying that he was BORN from above and the unsaved Jews are of their father, the Devil? What is the “PICTURE” of Jesus that you have been shown by your church denomination? Does that picture of Jesus FIT with what the PROPHECIES say about the Messiah? In other words, are there any PROPHECIES of God sending His already pre-existing Son down from heaven to become the Son of MAN and REMAIN God the Son at the same time? NO! There are no such prophecies, so keep in mind that Jesus ALSO said in John 17:14-18 that WE, as BORN-AGAIN believers, are NOT of this world even as or in the same way that Jesus is NOT of this world. And Jesus SENT us into the world in the SAME WAY that God SENT His Son into the world. So again, does the “picture” of Jesus that your church denomination “interprets” John 8:23 to be MATCH the “picture” of Jesus in John 17:14-18. If the picture of Jesus in John 8:23 that your church denomination painted FOR you does NOT match the picture of Jesus in John 17:8-24, then THROW OUT that WRONG picture of Jesus) 24. Therefore, I said unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you believe NOT that I am he, you shall die in your sins. (Now, the Trinitarian denomination “interprets” verse 24 to mean that Jesus is saying that he is the great “I AM that I AM” in Exodus 3:14. And the Oneness Pentecostal denomination ALSO “interprets” verse 24 to mean that Jesus is saying that he is Yahweh Himself in the flesh. The pronoun “he” is NOT in the original Greek text. And thus, Jesus could be saying “for if you do NOT believe that I am, then you shall die in your sins.” And IF Jesus intended his words to mean “if you do not believe that I AM” and opposed to meaning “I am he”, the WHICH “I AM” is Jesus saying that he is. Is Jesus saying that he is the FIRST “I AM”? Or is Jesus saying that he is the LAST “I AM”? In other words, in the LIGHT of the whole word of God, is Jesus saying that he is the FIRST “I AM”, Almighty Yahweh Himself? Or is Jesus saying that he is the LAST “I AM”? Now, Trinitarian Christians argue that Jesus is saying, I am God the Son, the second person of the Trinity Godhead, Yahweh. But does the Bible ITSELF teach us that Jesus is saying, I am the ONE TRUE God? Clearly, the Old Testament picture of the ONE TRUE God is ONE God in ONE person who is the FATHER. And the Oneness Pentecostal Christians claim that Jesus is saying that he is the Father Himself. But the CONTEXT of the gospel of John clearly teaches us that Jesus saying, I am he, the Messiah prophesied in the Scriptures. Always remember that Jesus said the SCRIPTURES testify of him. So let us INTERPRET every verse in the New Testament to FIT the PROPHECIES in the Old Testament. And let us ALSO “interpret” the Old Testament in the LIGHT of the FULFILLMENTS of the prophecies in the New Testament) 25. Then said they unto him, Who are you? And Jesus said unto them, Even the same that I said unto YOU from the beginning. 26. I have many things to say and to judge of (Or to judge concerning) you: but He that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of Him. (And HOW did God send His Son, according to John 17:18,19? Why would an Almighty God need to SANCTIFY Himself, IF Jesus was truly Almighty God Himself in the flesh?) 27. They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father. (Oneness Pentecostal Christians interpret Jesus saying, I am, to mean that Jesus is saying that he is the Father. So did Jesus ever say to the Jews that he is the Father. NO! Now, Jesus did say, I and my Father are ONE in John 10:30. But Jesus ALSO said in John 17:21-24 that WE will be ONE WITH Jesus and the Father in the SAME WAY that Jesus and the Father are one) 28. Then said Jesus unto them, When you have lifted up the Son of MAN, then shall you KNOW that I am he, and that I do NOTHING of myself; but as my Father has TAUGHT me, I speak these things. (Now, does the “picture” that you have been given by your church denomination of Jesus FIT the Son of Almighty God being TAUGHT by his God the Father? If your picture of Jesus does NOT fit every verse of Scripture, then you do NOT have the CORRECT picture of Jesus. And thus, you are showing or teaching a FAKE picture of Jesus to the world that is NOT the Jesus of the Bible) 29. And He that sent me is WITH me: the Father has not left me ALONE; for I always do those things that please Him. (So, to all Oneness Pentecostal Christians who teach that Jesus is the Father Himself, how can the Father be WITH His Son, Jesus, IF the Father is NOT a separate person or being from the Father?) 30. As he spoke these words, many believed in him.” When the Jews asked Jesus the question, “WHO are you?”, Jesus ANSWERED their question by saying that he is the SAME one that he said to them in the BEGINNING. Now, some Christians WRONGLY “interpret” the phrase “Even the SAME that I said unto you in the BEGINNING” in John 8:25 as being the “BEGINNING” in John 1:1. But Jesus is NOT talking about the beginning BEFORE the foundation of the world in John 1:1. Rather, Jesus is referring to the beginning of his MINISTRY in Luke 4:21 when he BEGAN to say unto them. Luke 4:21. “And he BEGAN to say unto them, This day is this Scripture FULFILLED in your ears.” So then, whatever Jesus SAID them in CONTEXT of Luke 4:21 above is the SAME that he said to them in John 8:24, when Jesus said, I AM, I am, or I am he. Now, do we find anything in the CONTEXT of Luke chapter 4 that even hints that Jesus is saying, “I am Almighty God, Yahweh”? NO! Absolutely NOT! But rather, the TRUE PICTURE we see of Jesus in Luke chapter 4 is the Son of MAN who God ANOINTED with His Holy Spirit to DWELL in him. Let us go ahead and read Luke 4:21 with some CONTEXT so that you can see that the Jews tried to KILL Jesus when he told them that he was the PROPHET prophesied in the Scriptures to be sent by God. And Jesus did not even say the words “I AM” and the Jews wanted to kill him Luke 4:1,16-29. “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,... …16. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, (The PROPHECY in Isaiah 61:1,2) 18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has ANOINTED me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has SENT me (The SAME Greek word used in 1 John 4:14 where God SENT the Son to be the Savior of the world) to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he BEGAN to say unto them, This day is this SCRIPTURE FULFILLED in your ears. (In other words, at the BEGINNING of his MINISTRY, Jesus BEGAN to tell the Jews I AM the one that this Scripture PROPHESIED to come. I AM the one that God ANOINTED. I AM he. Before Abraham, I AM, or more precisely, before Abraham, I am he, which agrees with the CONTEXT in John 5:24,25. And if you do not believe that I AM the SAME that I told you at the BEGINNING, then you will remain dead in your sins) 22. And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son? (The Jews thought that Christ would be called the son of David. In Matthew 22:44, Jesus asked the Jews whose Son is Christ, and they said the son of David) 23. And he said unto them, You will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in your country. (Here we see Jesus giving a PROPHECY as opposed to quoting a prophecy from the Scripture) 24. And he said, Verily I say unto you, No PROPHET is accepted in his own country. (Now, does the “picture” that you have of Jesus FIT the PROPHECY in Deuteronomy 18:15-19 of God’s Messiah being a PROPHET of God?) 25. But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; 26. But to none of them was Elijah sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. 27. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. 28. And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with WRATH, 29. And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.” And all that Jesus did was read a passage of Scripture from Isaiah 61:1,2 and said “THIS Scripture is FULFILLED in your ears”. And when Jesus discerned their unbelief by their talking among themselves saying, “Is this not the son of Joseph?”, then Jesus gave a PROPHECY that they would require a sign PROVING that he is a PROPHET of God. And when Jesus compared himself with Elijah and Elisha, they were filled with wrath and tried to throw Jesus headfirst down a steep hill. And some Christians will get angry if you tell them that Jesus is a PROPHET of God because they have painted a picture of Jesus as being Almighty God Himself in the flesh. But that is NOT the picture of Jesus that the PROPHECIES in the Scriptures paint of Jesus. Let us go ahead and read the PROPHECY of the Messiah being raised up from among the BRETHREN to be Yahweh’s PROPHET before Jesus died on the cross to become the Savior of the world. Deuteronomy 18:15-19. “The LORD your God will raise up unto you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your BRETHREN, like unto me; unto him (God’s PROPHET, the Messiah, Jesus) you shall hearken; 16. According to all that you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. 17. And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. 18. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their BRETHREN, like unto you, and will put My words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall COMMAND him. (Does your “picture” of Jesus fit Jesus being a Prophet of God?) 19. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto My words which he shall speak in My name, I will require it of him.” The FULFILLMENT of the prophecies BEGAN with the BIRTH of Jesus being BORN of a VIRGIN. Matthew 1:22 says that all this was done, THAT it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophets. Let us go ahead and read that passage of Scripture. Matthew 1:18-25. “Now the BIRTH of Jesus Christ was this wise: When his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with the child of the Holy Ghost. 19. Then Joseph, her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately. 20. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary, your wife: for THAT which is CONCEIVED in her is OF the Holy Ghost. (No seeing that the child in the womb of the Virgin Mary was CONCEIVED in her OF the Holy Spirit, then that means that the Holy Spirit is the FATHER of Jesus. In other words, the Holy Spirit is one and the self-same BEING as Almighty God the Father who is a Spirit, according to John 4:23,24. And that means there are only TWO separate beings and NOT three separate beings. Please read the study called M-5. WHY the HOLY SPIRIT is the FATHER?) 21. And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22. Now all this was DONE, THAT it might be FULFILLED which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23. Behold, a virgin shall be with CHILD, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Now, Trinitarian Christians “interpret” this verse to mean that Jesus is Almighty God Himself. But the CONTEXT of the PROPHECY in Isaiah 7:13-17 teaches us that BEFORE the CHILD shall know to refuse the evil and choose to good, the land shall be forsaken of both her kings. And according to the history books, the first Roman governor over the Judaea providence was Coponius around 6AD to 9AD, And that would be around the time that the CHILD Jesus was 12 years old when Jesus said in Luke 2:42-49, “I must be about my Father’s BUSINESS”. So then, does your “picture” of Jesus fit the PROPHECY of the CHILD Jesus LEARNING from His God how to refuse the evil and choose the good? The phrase “God WITH us” can mean several things. It can mean that God is FOR us by providing us a Savior. It can mean that God was WITH His chosen one whom He ANOINTED with His Holy Spirit and power. And then, the ANOINTED Son of MAN, Jesus, went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was WITH him, according to Acts 10:38. It can mean that Almighty God MADE the Son of MAN both Lord and God over the earth, according to the PROPHECY in Isaiah 9:6,7 and the FULFILLMENT in Acts 2:36. But what it cannot mean is that Jesus is Almighty God Himself. Please read the study called U-16. Matthew 1:23 EMMANUEL - God WITH us! Also read the study W-11. Isaiah 9:6 The Everlasting Father!) 24. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: (Or Joseph married his espoused Mary whose was with child in her womb CONCEIVED by the Holy Spirit) 25. And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: (Or Joseph did not have sexual intercourse with Mary at ANY time BEFORE Jesus was BORN) and he called his name JESUS.” Now, the Bible clearly teaches us in John 3:16 that the God GAVE His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. “For God so loved the world, that He GAVE his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” And only Trinitarian Christians “interpret” John 3:16 to mean the God SENT down His ONLY begotten Son from heaven to die on the cross so that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Now, IF this was true, then God’s Son would have to have been BEGOTTEN by God up in heaven. But the FULFILLMENT of the PROPHECY in Isaiah 9:6,7 of the Son GIVEN to be CRUCIFIED for the sins of the world is the Son of MAN, Jesus, according to John 3:13, John 8:28, and John 12:34. And right before the Son of MAN, Jesus was to be lifted up on the cross, he prayed to his God and father up in heaven and said, “You have loved me BEFORE the foundation of the world.” John 17:1-3,24. “These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify Your Son, (Speaking of God’s human Son, the Son of MAN whose hour was to be lifted up on the cross to be crucified) that Your Son also may glorify You: 2. As You have GIVEN him power over all flesh, THAT he should give eternal life to as many as You have GIVEN him. (So then, Almighty God the Father GAVE His human Son the power to give eternal life to whomsoever the Son of God judges worthy to receive eternal life in the world to come) 3. And THIS IS life eternal, that they might know YOU the ONLY TRUE God, and Jesus Christ, whom You hast SENT…(Or whom Almighty God GAVE all power and authority to be MADE both Lord and Christ) …22. And the glory which You GAVE me I have GIVEN THEM; that THEY may be ONE, EVEN AS we are ONE: 23. I in them, and You in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that You have sent me, and have loved them, as You have loved me. 24. Father, I will that they also, whom You have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which You have GIVEN me: for (Or BECAUSE) You loved me before the foundation of the WORLD.”
Please read the study called Q-5. What is the Foundation of the World? In that study I show the difference between the foundation of the earth for the foundation of the world. In JOhn 17:24 which we just read, Jesus said that the Father loved him BEFORE the foundation of the WORLD and NOT before God created the entire Universe. The Lamb was SLAIN from the foundation of the WORLD and we all know and understand that the Lamb was not LITERALLY SLAIN in the eternity past before God created anything. So it must be “interpreted” that the Lamb of God literally pre-existed in the eternity past. But the TRUTH of the matter is that there are no PROPHECIES of a pre-existing Son of God being promised to be sent down from heaven to be God’s sacrificial Lamb to be slain on the cross. In other words, ALL of the PROPHECIES are about God raising up a HUMAN being who would be BORN of a WOMAN, a VIRGIN. Here are some PROPHECIES of Jesus in the WOMB. Psalm 139:13-20. “For You have possessed my reins: You have covered me in my mother's womb. 14. I will praise You; for I am fearfully and wonderfully MADE: (Or I am DISTINCTLY made to be DISTINGUISHED as being born DIFFERENTLY from other humans. Jesus and all other humans are MADE a little LOWER than the angels, according to another PROPHECY in Psalm 8:3-6. But Jesus was the ONLY begotten Son born of a Virgin WITHOUT a HUMAN father) MARVELOUS are YOUR works; and THAT my soul knows right well. (Clearly, Jesus is the WORKMANSHIP OF Yahweh, the Father, the ONLY TRUE God, according to Jesus himself in John 17:1-3. The Hebrew word translated as “marvelous” also means the DISTINGUISH as being DIFFERENT. So this is clearly a prophecy of Jesus being MIRACULOUSLY conceived the the WOMB of the Virgin Mary as a SIGN to DISTINGUISH that the one born of a Virgin is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God) 15. My substance was not hidden from You, (Or You making me to become mighty with power and authority was NOT hidden from YOU) when I was MADE in SECRET, AND curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. (In other words, God kept the END purpose of His Messiah a SECRET from His enemy Satan, the Devil, and the fallen angels. For had they KNOWN God’s full plan of Salvation, then they would not have crucified the Lord of GLORY, according to 1 Corinthians 2:7,8) 16. Your eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; (Or Your see my substance yet being an EMBRYO in my mother’s womb) and in Your book all my members were written, (Speaking of the Scriptures being filled with PROPHECIES) which in continuance (Or in the process of time) were fashioned, when as yet there was NONE of them. 17. How precious also are Your THOUGHTS unto me, O God! (Including God’s THOUGHT for His Lamb to be SLAIN. So then, God LOVED His yet future Son in His THOUGHTS before the foundation of the WORLD) How great is the sum of them! (Speaking of God’s WAY of Salvation which he possessed BEFORE the foundation of the WORLD and NOT before the creation of the Universe) 18. If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with You. (Or more precisely, when you RESURRECT me I will be DUPLICATED to be made EQUAL WITH You. In other words, this is a PROPHECY of the HUMAN Son of MAN being resurrected to become the FIRSTBORN Son of God MADE in the IMAGE of the invisible God) 19. Surely, You will slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, you bloody men. 20. For they speak against You wickedly, (Or more precisely, they speak against Your PLAN. The Hebrew word translated as wickedly means PLAN) and Your enemies take Your NAME in vain.” The Bible uses ALLEGORIES to picture HIDDEN meanings. So the right hand of Yahweh is an allegory picturing His Savior whom Yahweh will use as His INSTRUMENT to SLAY the wicked. So then, verse 19 is a prophecy of Yahweh’s Savior being MADE a God who will say to the workers of iniquity, DEPART from me you who murder. Now, remember that HATING a person in your heart is the same as MURDER. This is why Jesus WARNS us that if you do NOT FORGIVE others, then your heavenly Father will NOT FORGIVE you. Many will SAY to Jesus, Lord, Lord, but they have HATRED in the heart toward someone that they refuse to forgive. And by doing that, they are taking the NAME of Yahweh in VAIN. They may SAY that they love God, but their HATRED toward their brother in the Lord shows that the TRUTH is not in them. The NAME of the LORD is another HIDDEN prophecy of Yahweh’s Savior. In other words, the now glorified Son of MAN, Jesus, is the NAME of Yahweh. Please read the following studies. Dd-19. What does the LORD'S NAME in VAIN mean? D-23. WHAT is the NEW NAME of Jesus? Part 1. D-24. WHAT is the NEW NAME of Jesus? Part 2. But for now, let us read some more PROPHECIES of Jesus being the FULFILLMENT of God’s spoken word out from his mouth that was made flesh. The writer of Hebrews quotes one of those PROPHECIES that teach us that Jesus was prophesied into existence. Please read Hebrews 10:7. “Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do Your will, O God.” And here is that PROPHECY written in the Old Testament Scriptures. Psalm 40:6-10. “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; my ears have You opened: burnt offering and sin offering You have not required. (So, while Jesus was reading the Scriptures, God OPENED the EARS of Jesus to hear God TEACHING him that he will be God’s LAMB to END all of the shedding of BLOOD. LITERALLY, meaning ALL of the shedding of BLOOD) 7. Then said I, Lo, (Or I SEE, or I UNDERSTAND) I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, (This may have been Jesus praying to his God and Father in the Garden of Gethsemane bringing his will into obedience to do the Father’s Will) 8. I delight to do Your will, O my God: yea, your law is within my heart. 9. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, (Or You see O my God that) I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, You know. 10. I have not hid Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation: I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great congregation.” And NOW, O Father, it is your turn to glorify me with the glory You to HOLD WITH with You over the world to come. Please read the study called D-26. WHAT Does JOHN 17:5 TRULY MEAN? But for now, I want you to take a CLOSER look at Proverbs 8:30,31 and then we will take a closer look at verse 22 in Proverbs chapter 8. Proverbs 8:30,31. “Then I was by him, (Or more CORRECTLY, I come to pass to JOIN WITH him) as one brought up with him: (Or as one to be TRAINED or taught by him) and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; 31. Rejoicing in the HABITABLE part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.” Keep in mind that this is PROPHECY of Yahweh’s future Son whose END purpose is to be MADE Yahweh’s King or kings, Yahweh’s Lord of lords, and Yahweh’s God of gods over the earth for 1000 years in the world to come. And the REASON for God making MAN and the Son of MAN a little LOWER than the angels is for God to JUDGE the world BY the MAN whom He ORDAINED and raised from the dead, according to Acts 17:29-31. Please notice that Proverbs 8:22-31 is speaking about Yahweh RESTORING the earth to be HABITABLE once again. Notice that the Son is REJOICING in the presences of God in the HABITABLE part of the earth BEFORE God has finished restoring the earth. The Hebrew word translated as “I WAS by him” means to come or to come to pass to be by him. Jesus is the FULFILLMENT of PROPHECY. Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Hebrew word translated as “WAS” in Proverbs 8:30. H1961 הָיָה hâyâh haw-yaw' A primitive root (compare H1933); to exist, that is, be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary): - beacon, X altogether, be (-come, accomplished, committed, like), break, cause, come (to pass), continue, do, faint, fall, + follow, happen, X have, last, pertain, quit (one-) self, require, X use. I TO exist by Him. I TO BE by Him. I COME to PASS to JOIN Him. For you see, the Hebrew word translated as “BY” Him means by Him in the sense of JOINING with Him. Here is how the concordance in E-Sword define the Hebrew word translated as “BY” Him in Proverbs 8:30. H681 אֵצֶל 'êtsel ay'-tsel From H680 (in the sense of joining); a side; (as a preposition) near: - at, (hard) by, (from) (beside), near (unto), toward, with. See also H1018. In other words, the human Son of MAN, Jesus, JOINED his God and Father to be SEATED by God at the right hand side of God AFTER the cross and resurrection. So you can see how the TRUE Jesus of the Bible MATCHES perfectly with the PROPHECIES that TESTIFY of Jesus. Jesus CAME into being in the VOLUME of Yahweh’s BOOK, the Holy Bible. Jesus is the FULFILLMENT of the SCRIPTURES. In simple words, Jesus IS the PLAN of Salvation contrived by Yahweh, the God OF His Son Jesus. Let us now jump back up to read Proverbs 8:22 so you can see that God’s WAY is God’s PLAN of Salvation. Proverbs 8:22. “The LORD possessed me in the beginning of His WAY, before His works of old.” The LITERAL translation says Yahweh ACQUIRED me in the beginning of His WAY preceding His CONTRIVANCES from then. One of the meanings of the Hebrew word translated as “works” in the KJV means to ORDAIN. So then at the beginning of Yahweh’s CONTRIVING His WAY or His PLAN of Salvation before He ORDAINED or PROPHESIED His FOUNDATIONAL RULES of the earth, Yahweh’s PLAN was to INAUGURATE me as His King over the earth. This is what all of the meanings of these Hebrew words are expressing. Wisdom is the PERSONIFICATION of Jesus. The word personification means the attribution of a personal nature or human characteristics to something nonhuman, or the representation of an abstract quality in human form. In other words, wisdom and understanding are POSSESSIONS of Yahweh that He uses to CREATE everything. Wisdom and understanding are NOT separate divine beings who are with God at His side. Wisdom and understanding are the COUNCIL of Yahweh. They are God’s THOUGHTS in Yahweh’s MIND. And ONE of the Yahweh’s THOUGHT that He ACQUIRED at the beginning of His WAY or PLAN of Salvation was to ANOINT Himself a NEW King to replace Lucifer. In John 18:37, when Pontious Pilate asked Jesus if he was a king, Jesus answered and said “To this END I was BORN.” Let us go ahead and read that verse of Scripture. John 18:37. “Pilate therefore said unto him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. To THIS END was I BORN, and for THIS CAUSE came I into the world, that I should bear WITNESS unto the TRUTH. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.” Almost all Christians know and understand that God MADE or SET the Son of MAN, Jesus, to be God’s King of kings and Lord of lords. But not all Christians know and understand the REASON that we are God’s WITNESSES. I will cover that question in the next study called D-31. WHY Does God Need Jesus and us as His WITNESSES?
