D-22. Is ORTHODOX Christianity TRUE Christianity?
In other words, WHAT does being an “ORTHODOX” Christian mean? The dictionary defines the word “Orthodox” to mean what is widely ACCEPTED by the majority. And in the FIRST century the the Apostles taught TRUE Orthodox Christianity. So then, does being an “Orthodox” Christian in the church today mean that ONLY Orthodox Christians are teaching what Jesus and his Apostles teach us in the New Testament. Does Orthodox Christianity in the church today mean that only Orthodox Christians teach the TRUTH? Absolutely NOT! Just because a church denomination calls themselves “Orthodox” Christianity does NOT mean that they are teaching the TRUTH! For you see, there were many DIFFERENT “ORTHODOX” Christians in the early church. And they all taught something DIFFERENT from each other. So you can be TRUE “ORTHODOX” in one area of faith and still be a heretic to OTHER church denominations in OTHER beliefs. You see, the TRUE church is the church that Jesus built. So then, TRUE ORTHODOX Christianity is what Jesus taught his Apostles and disciples in the first century. But the TRUE church began to DIVIDE as early as the Apostle Paul, and the Christians who began to follow MEN that taught different things that CONTRADICTED what the Apostle Paul taught were no longer following the sound Biblical teaching of Jesus and his Apostles. And thus, in the church today, what is NOW called Orthodox Christianity is NOT what Jesus and his Apostles teach us in the New Testament under the New Covenant.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the NAME of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the SAME THING, and that there be no DIVISIONS among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the SAME mind and in the SAME judgment. 11. For it has been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are CONTENTIONS among you. 12. Now, this I say, that every one of you say, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13. Is Christ DIVIDED? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?... …28. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, God has CHOSEN, yea, and things which are NOT, to bring to nought things that are: (In other words, there are some things that God gave to the children of Israel for them to keep that God has CHOSEN to bring to an END) 29. That no flesh should glory (Or BOAST) in His presence. 30. But of Him (Or BECAUSE OF Almighty God the Father) are you in Christ Jesus, who of God (Or again, BECAUSE OF Almighty God the Father you are saved in ANOINTED Jesus who) is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:”
Now, these DIVISIONS that began in the days of the first century church continued to become more and more DIVISIONS and every one of those DIFFERENT church “denominations” called themselves the “ORTHODOX” church. There were the Eastern Orthodox Christians and the Western Orthodox Christians. And then, there were the Oriental Orthodox Christians and the Greek Orthodox Christians. The Western Orthodox Christians became known as the Roman Catholic Church, which is DEFINITELY NOT TRUE Christianity, according to the teaching of Jesus and his Apostles in the New Testament. My point is that the word “Orthodox” does NOT mean that those who call themselves “ORTHODOX” Christians are teaching the TRUTH concerning WHO Jesus truly is, according to the Bible ITSELF. In fact, Orthodox Christians base their faith on church TRADITION over what the Scriptures teach. And that includes SOME Protestant church denominations even though they CLAIM that they base their faith SOLELY on the Scriptures. But in truth, they did not REFORM enough to go back to teaching ONLY what Jesus and his Apostles teach us in SIMPLICITY in the New Testament. Please read the following quote from Wikipedia so that you can see for yourself that the word “Orthodox” does NOT mean teaching the TRUTH.
“...The Eastern Orthodox Church officially calls itself the Orthodox Catholic Church.[16][17][18][19] Eastern Orthodox theology is based on holy tradition, which incorporates the dogmatic decrees of the seven ecumenical councils, the Scriptures, and the teaching of the Church Fathers. The church teaches that it is the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church established by Jesus Christ in his Great Commission,[20] and that its bishops are the successors of Christ's apostles.[21] It maintains that it practices the original Christian faith, as passed down by holy tradition. Its patriarchates, reminiscent of the pentarchy, and other autocephalous and autonomous churches, reflect a variety of hierarchical organization. It recognizes seven major sacraments, of which the Eucharist is the principal one, celebrated liturgically in synaxis. The church teaches that through consecration invoked by a priest, the sacrificial bread and wine become the body and blood of Christ. The Virgin Mary is venerated in the Eastern Orthodox Church as the God-bearer, honored in devotions…”
Did Jesus and the Apostle of Jesus VENERATE the Virgin Mary? No! Is there any teaching in the New Testament of a “priesthood” offering a SACRIFICE of the Mass changing the Eucharist into the LITERAL body of Jesus? No! And both the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Western Orthodox Church teach the doctrine of the Trinity, which Jesus and his Apostle did NOT teach. And both Orthodox churches call themselves the Catholic Church. Their first main point of division was over the Pope being INFALLIBLE. And that is why they DIVIDED to be two Orthodox “DENOMINATIONS” to teach different things. My point is that word “Orthodox” simply means CONFORMING to what is generally or TRADITIONALLY accepted as right or true; established and approved. And the TRADITIONALLY accepted doctrine of the Trinity is NOT TRUE! For you see. the Trinity Godhead theory contradicts many verses of Scripture in the Bible. So when someone accuses you of not being an Orthodox Christian, then you can THANK God that He led you out of the CONFORMING to MAN-MADE church TRADITION just because it is generally accepted by so-called self appointed Orthodox Christians. You may have noticed at the beginning of this study that I highlighted the NAME of our Lord Jesus Christ. Some Christians have never been taught the God GAVE the Son of MAN, Jesus, a NEW NAME after the cross and resurrection. In other words, some Christians have never been taught that when you see ANY of the phrases “the NAME of Jesus”, “the NAME of Jesus Christ”, “name of Christ”, “the NAME of our Lord Jesus Christ”, and “the NAME OF the Son of God”, then you are to know and understand that it is the NEW NAME OF the Son of God that is being referred to. And thus, when we pray in the NAME of Jesus or we baptize in the NAME of Jesus we are praying and baptizing in the NEW NAME that God GAVE to the Son of MAN, Jesus AFTER the cross and resurrection. So some Christians have never been taught what the NEW NAME of Jesus is. So in the next study in this series of studies under the heading >>>D-0.
