C-11. WHAT Does Isaiah 43:10 TRULY MEAN? DOWNLOAD to SAVE as a PDF Doc to read OFFLINE. C-11. WHAT Does ISAIAH 43:10 TRULY MEAN? Let us begin this study in God’s word by reading Isaiah 43:10 out of its context. And then, I will explain the “traditional Orthodox” INTERPRETATION to see if it makes SENSE to you. Isaiah 43:10. “You are my witnesses, says the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God FORMED, neither shall there be after me.” Now, the “traditional Orthodox” INTERPRETATION is that BEFORE in time there was no other God FORMED except for Yahweh and neither shall there be any other God FORMED after me. In other words, if one “interprets” the phrase, “I am he”, in Isaiah 43:10, to mean that Yahweh is His SERVANT that He has chosen, then they are actually saying that God was FORMED, MADE, or CREATED. Now, was that God FORMED Yahweh Himself? Or was that God FORMED by Yahweh to be Yahweh’s Savior? For you see, the same Hebrew word H3335 that is translated as “FORMED” H3335 in Isaiah 43:10, is used in Genesis 2:7, when God “FORMED” H3335 Adam out of the dust in the ground. And we all agree that God CREATED the first Adam. But we do not all agree that God CREATED the last Adam. So then, no matter how one “interprets” Isaiah 43:10, SOMEONE was FORMED H3335. In other words. Either Yahweh Himself was CREATED or His SERVANT whom He chose was CREATED by Yahweh. And I myself do not believe that Yahweh Himself was created. But I do believe that the Bible ITSELF teaches us that Yahweh created Himself a Savior, who we all agree is Jesus. And the CONTEXT of Isaiah 43:10 teaches us that the God who was FORMED by Yahweh is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The FIRST thing that you need to know and understand is that the verb “AM” in the phrase “I AM he” is NOT in the original Hebrew text. The SECOND thing that you need to know and understand is that this SAME phrase translated as “I am he” in Isaiah 43:10 is also translated in Isaiah 41:1 as the phrase, “I am the FIRST, I am WITH the LAST. I am he”. So in that verse of Scripture, we can clearly see and understand that Yahweh is WITH His SERVANT whom He has chosen to be His Savior. And thus, the “translation” I am he should read as “I, he” or as two separate persons. Almost all Christians agree that Almighty God the Father, is NOT the Son of Almighty God the Father. In other words, most Christians clearly see the Son of God and being a separate distinctly different person from Almighty God the Father. And ONLY the Pentecostal Oneness Christians wrongly interpret the phrase “I am he” in the verses of Scripture to mean “I, Yahweh the Father, AM he”, speaking of Yahweh as being one and the self-same BEING as the Son OF Yahweh. The THIRD thing that you need to know and understand is that there are OTHER meanings of the Hebrew words translated as “THAT”, “BEFORE” me, “AFTER” me, and “BESIDE” me. Let us cover those other possible meanings now. And then I will translate Isaiah 43:10 using those other meanings so you can see that the God the Yahweh FORMED is His SERVANT whom He CHOSE to be His Savior. The Hebrew word that is translated as “THAT” in the phrase, “and understand THAT I am he” should read “and understand ASSUREDLY, I, he.” Another possible translation is “and TRULY understand, I, he.” Please remember that the verb “am” was ADDED by the translator and that Isaiah 41:4 clearly teaches us that Yahweh will be WITH the LAST. The Hebrew word translated as “BEFORE” me in the phrase, “there was no God formed or created BEFORE me”, should read as “there was no God FORMED to be AGAINST me” Another possible translation is “there was no God FORMED to be in my PRESENCE before my face.” In other words, there was no God formed to sit at the right hand of Yahweh, before Yahweh FORMED His King of kings and Lord of lords. Keep in mind that the CONTEXT in verse 9 speaks of a different group of WITNESSES, “let THEM bring forth THEIR witnesses that THEY may be justified”. Isaiah 43:9, 10. “Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? Let THEM bring forth THEIR WITNESSES, that THEY may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. 10. YOU are My witnesses, says the LORD, and My servant whom I have chosen: that YOU may know and believe Me, and understand ASSUREDLY, I, he: AGAINST Me there was no God FORMED, neither shall there be (No God) PURSUING Me. 11. I, even I, am the LORD; and WITHOUT Me as the reason of (FORMING my God) there is no Savior.” So then, Yahweh’s WITNESSES are His future sons and daughters. And Jesus is the first faithful Witness, according to Revelation 1:5 and Revelation 3:14. And Jesus became Yahweh’s faithful and true witness AFTER the cross and resurrection. The Hebrew word translated as “AFTER” me also means there shall no longer be any gods PURSUING Yahweh to try to grasp at being equal to God by FORCE. Keep in mind that Lucifer wrongly accused Almighty God for creating him with a rebellious nature. And thus, Almighty God is wrongly being blamed by Lucifer for the WAR that Lucifer and the fallen Elohim waged AGAINST God’s throne. Please read ALL of the studies under the heading called >>>Q-0. WHY are we HERE?-Is God at WAR?<<< But for now, the Hebrew word translated as “BESIDE” me carries the meaning of APART from Yahweh or WITHOUT Yahweh raising up a Savior from among the people, there would be NO Savior. With all of this in mind, let us examine Isaiah 43:10 even more closely by learning from the CONTEXT who the WITNESSES are, and who the SERVANT is that Yahweh CHOSE. Please read Isaiah 43:1. “But now, thus says the LORD that created you, O Jacob, and He that formed you, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine.” Now, according to Luke 2:6, 1 Corinthians 3:23, and 1 Corinthians 11:3, the Messiah, or the Christ BELONGS to his God and Father who MADE the Son of MAN, Jesus both Lord and Christ after the cross, according to Acts 2:36. The NAME Israel means he shall rule as God and many verses of Scripture teach us that Jesus is the Holy One of Israel. Please read the study called O-19. WHO IS THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL? But for now, please notice the first two words in Isaiah 43:1, which say “But NOW”. In other words, God created Jacob FIRST and NOW, God is prophesying that He is FORMING Israel, or God spoke this PROPHECY of forming His SERVANT Jacob to be made a God to rule AS God and FOR God in the NAME OF God for 1000 years in the world to come. When we read the context in Isaian 42:1-9, then we can clearly see that the one CHOSEN by Yahweh is His Messiah, Jesus. We can see that the name Jacob is a shadow or figure of Jesus suffering FIRST. And NOW, the prophecy continues in Isaiah 43:1, the FORMING of the God, the Holy One of Israel. Stay with me and all of this will become clear to you. Let us go ahead and read Isaiah 42:1-9 with some comments so that you can see some of the other meanings of the Hebrew words. Isaiah 42:1-9. “Behold My SERVANT, whom I UPHOLD; My elect, (Or My CHOSEN one) in whom My soul delights; I have put My spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. (Clearly a PROPHECY of Yahweh’s Messiah Jesus) 2. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 3. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 4. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he has set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 5. Thus says God the LORD, (Or thus says the Almighty Yahweh) He that created the heavens, and stretched them out; He that spread forth the earth, and that which comes out of it; He that gives breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: 6. I the LORD (Or I Yahweh) have called YOU (Or I Yahweh have called YOU, My elect or My chosen one)in righteousness, and will hold YOUR hand, and will keep YOU, and give YOU for a COVENANT of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; (And WHO did Almighty God GIVE the people as His COVENANT? God gave His human Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to establish His New COVENANT in the shed blood of His Messiah, which we all agree is Jesus) 7. To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8. I am the LORD: (Or I am Yahweh) that (Or he, My ELECT) is My NAME: and My glory will I not give to another, (Or My glory will I not give to anyone else but My ELECT) neither my praise to graven images. 9. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and NEW things do I DECLARE: before they spring forth I tell you of them… …23. Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come? 24. Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? Did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? For they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.” Did not Jesus die on the cross between two robbers or two thieves, according to Matthew 27:38, Mark 15. 27,28, and Luke 22:37. Or the old things in the past are coming to an end and I Yahweh am DECLARING or PROPHESYING new things to come to pass. And NOW, thus says Yahweh In Isaiah 43:1, Israel, which means he shall rule as God, I have FORMED YOU. I have redeemed you. Or more precisely, I have RANSOMED you to give you as my COVENANT. I have CALLED you by your name or by My NAME, you are MINE. For you see, Almighty God the Father GAVE the Son of MAN, Jesus as NEW NAME after the cross and resurrection. And the NEW NAME of Jesus is HIGHER than any other name, according to Philippians 2:8-11. Please read the study called G-2. Jesus was GIVEN a NEW NAME! And also read the two part study called D-23. WHAT is the NEW NAME of Jesus? Part 1. But for now, let us continue examining the CONTEXT of Isaiah 43:10 by reading Isaiah 43:3-15. And as you read this passage of Scripture, I want you to keep in mind TWO separate beings, Yahweh and His prophesied SERVANT whom He has chosen, His ELECT. I will highlight in orange all the words and pronouns that refer to the Father in orange. And I will highlight all the words and pronouns that refer to the PROPHECIES of the ELECT in yellow. The ELECT refers to ALL of God’s future children, or His CHOSEN, whom He called in righteousness, including His Messiah. In other words, the phrase, “I, he” is referring to Yahweh and His Messiah, who is His Holy One of Israel. Also, I will highlight in light blue all of the words and pronouns that refer to the GLORIFIED Jesus after the cross and resurrection. Do your best to try and put yourself in the place of Messiah Jesus and Yahweh is speaking to you through the Scriptures. In other words, IMAGINE if you were Jesus READING that Scriptures, and the Holy Spirit sad to you, this verse of Scripture is speaking of YOU. You are My servant. I have called YOU in righteousness. And I will give YOU as a COVENANT for the people and YOU shall be a LIGHT to the gentiles. Isaiah 43:3-15. “ For I am the LORD your God, (Or I Yahweh am your God. And) the Holy One of Israel, your Savior: I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for you. 4. Since you were precious in My sight, (Speaking of the anointed human Jesus obeying all of his God and Father’s Will) you have been honorable, (Or I have made you honorable so that My elect will honor you even as they honor me) and I have loved you: THEREFORE, will I give men for you, and people for your life. 5. Fear not: for I am WITH you: I will bring your seed (The men, people, or children that God prophesied to GIVE to His Messiah, Jesus, God will bring to him) from the east, and gather thee from the west; 6. I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring My sons from far, and My daughters from the ends of the earth; 7. Even every one that is CALLED by My NAME: FOR (Or BECAUSE) I have CREATED him for My glory, I have FORMED him; yea, I have made him. (Yea I, Yahweh have GIVEN him My own NAME, so that every knee will bow at the NAME and every tongue in the world to come will CONFESS that he is Lord to My glory, according to Philippians 2:8-11) 8. Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. (Speaking of the UNSAVED people, and Lucifer with his fallen angels as well) 9. Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us (Yahweh and His now glorified Messiah) former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. 10. YOU (Speaking of ALL of Yahweh’s chosen, His ELECT, including His Messiah) are My WITNESSES, says the LORD, and (He or you, my human Son are) My SERVANT whom I have chosen: (You, Jesus are My ELECT whom I have ANOINTED) that YOU may know and believe Me, and understand ASSUREDLY, I, he: (Or I and you as My Messiah, together with me, let us make man in our image. Also, know ASSUREDLY that I created everything PERFECT. So know assuredly that) AGAINST Me there was no God FORMED, neither shall there be (Any more rebellious God) PURSUING Me. (As Lucifer and the fallen angels have done. Know assuredly that I did NOT create them with a heart to make war against Me) 11. I, even I, am the LORD; and BESIDE Me there is no Savior. (Or I am Yahweh and WITHOUT Me as being the CAUSE or the REASON there would be NO Savior. I have raised YOU up from among the people to be My Savior. I gave YOU as My RANSOM to redeem fallen man back to Myself. And I will JUDGE the world by YOU, the MAN whom I have ORDAINED and raised from the dead, according to Acts 17:29-31) 12. I have DECLARED, (Or I have PROPHESIED) and have saved, and I have shown, when there was no strange god among you: (In other words, Yahweh has proven to us that His human Son Jesus cast out devils by the TRUE God dwelling in him and NOT by a STRANGE god, the god of this present world, Satan, the Devil) THEREFORE, you are My WITNESSES, says the LORD, that I am God. (In other words, Yahweh Himself said that I, the now glorified Son of MAN am God, even His God, according to Hebrews 1:8.9) 13. Yea, before the DAY was I, he; (Or before the DAY of the FULFILLMENT of this PROPHECY, Yahweh contrived His PLAN of salvation which He kept SECRET from His enemy, Satan, the Devil) and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it? 14. Thus says the LORD, (Here is) your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent (Him, your Messiah) to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. 15. I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.” Now, verse 15 SEEMS like it is saying that Yahweh Himself is the Holy One of Israel and that Yahweh is the King of the NATION of Israel. But, if you remember, the NAME “Israel” means “He shall rule AS God”. So Israel, here in verse 15 is a hidden PROPHECY of Yahweh’s Messiah, Jesus. Let us read Isaiah 43:15 from the LITERAL translation so that you can see what this verse of Scripture is LITERALLY saying. Here is Isaiah 43:15 from the LITERAL translation. “I Yahweh, holy one of you, one creating ISRAEL, King of you.” In other words, Isaiah 43:15 is literally saying, I, Yahweh, am the ONE who is CREATING the Holy One of Israel to become you King. And Jesus made a good confession to Pontious Pilate when he asked him if he was a KING. Jesus answered him, YOU said it not me, to this END I was BORN. Jesus never exalted himself to be made a King of kings and a Lord of lords. It was his God and Father, Yahweh who SAID or or DECLARED, or who PROPHESIED that He would raise up a Savior from the SEED of David to be made a Prince and a King, according to Acts 5:29-33 and Acts 13:21-41. In Acts 13:21, the Apostle Paul is quoting the historical record 1 Samuel 8:4-22 and also the PROPHECY of Jesus being made a Prince and a King in 1 Samuel 12:12-19. I will only quote a few verses so that you can see the reason for WHY Yahweh EXALTED His FIRSTBORN to be a King higher than the kings of the earth. Please read 1 Samuel 8:4-7 “Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, 5. And said unto him, Behold, you are old, and your sons walk not in your ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. 6. But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. 7. And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto you: for they have not rejected you, but they have REJECTED ME, that I should not reign over them.” So God set a TRAP for His people, Israel. For you see, the name Cis in Acts 13:21 is the name Kish in 1 Samuel 9:1, which means BOW. And the root meaning of bow is a SNARE or a trap, like you BEND a tree to make a snare. And the name Saul means requested or something asked. Now, the children of Israel asked for a king LIKE all of the other nations, so God gave them a king who would act LIKE the kings of all of the other nations. And God did that as a SNARE, so that they would not reject His King of kings in the world to come. Now let us read a few verses from the PROPHECY in 1 Samuel 12:12-19. I will translate the untranslated Aleph Tav H853 as Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus. Please read 1 Samuel 12:12-16. “ And when you saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, you said unto me, Nay; but a king shall reign over us: when the LORD your God WAS your king. 13. Now, therefore, BEHOLD the king whom you have chosen, and whom you have desired! And, behold, the LORD has SET a king over you. 14. If you will fear (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the commandment of the LORD, then shall both you and also the king that reigns over you continue following the LORD your God: 15. But if you will not obey the VOICE of the LORD, but rebel against (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) the commandment of the LORD, then shall the HAND of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers. 16. Now, therefore. stand and see (Aleph Tav Messiah Jesus) this great THING, which the LORD WILL do before your eyes.” Plain and simple, Jesus is the FULFILLMENT of the Scriptures. In other words, Yahweh DECLARED and salvation was manifested. And God SAID let there be LIGHT and LIGHT came into being. Yahweh is the Father of LIGHT and He sent His human Son, Jesus to be the Light of the world. And then, Jesus sent us to be the light of the world. So when you read John 1:1, read it in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. For you see, in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God, the “word” in John 1:1 c is a God and NOT the Almighty God Himself. That Apostle John is teaching us HOW Yahweh brought His PLAN of salvation to pass. Please read John 1:1 from the LITERAL translation. “In the beginning (That was NOT the beginning in the eternity past, but rather, another beginning after Lucifer and the fallen angel waged WAR against God) was the SAYING, and the SAYING was TOWARD the God, (Meaning that what Almighty God PROPHESIED is in the direction toward God’s throne) and (A) God was the SAYING.” And that is exactly what has been FULFILLED in the Scriptures and what shall be FULFILLED in the world to come. For you see, an Almighty God, the HIGHEST God, can NOT have another God over and above Him. And clearly, the Almighty God the Father is the God OF His Son, Jesus. So while Jesus is called God in Hebrews 1:8,9, we can clearly see that he is under and subject to his God and Father who alone is that Almighty God. So I implore you to read the following studies.
