Dd-66. Is Sunday KEEPING The Mark of the BEAST

If you are a Seventh Day Adventist Christian then the very first question that you need to ask yourself is, “Do I really desire to know the TRUTH?” If you truly seek to know the TRUTH as to what the mark of the beast is NOT and what the mark of the beast TRULY IS, then keep reading. And by seeking the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God then the TRUE mark of the beast will be revealed to you.

Now, the Seventh Day Adventist Church teaches that Christians who worship God on Sunday rather than on Saturday are taking the mark of the beast spoken of in the book of Revelation. And in this study in God’s word you will learn from the Scriptures as to WHY the Seventh Day Adventist Church is WRONG. Some of you may say, that is NOT what our church teaches. But the truth is, you simply may have not heard all of what your church teaches.

Here are a couple of quotes of Ellen G. White from the Seventh Day Adventist Church writing called the Mark of the Beast abbreviated as MOB and the Great Controversy. I will also abbreviate the Seventh Day Adventist Church as the SDA Church and as the SDA Christians throughout the remainder of this study in God’s word to learn the truth that non SDA Christians are NOT taking the mark of the beast spoken of in the book of Revelation by worshiping God on Sunday. The emphases in all the quotes are mine. What I highlight in green in those quotes is false teaching. And what I highlight in yellow is Biblical, but the truth is twisted by the SDA Church to teach their false doctrines.

“Here we find the mark of the beast. The very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, on the part of the Catholic church, without any authority from the Bible.” (Ellen G. White, The Mark of the Beast, page 23.)

“The change of the Sabbath is the sign or mark of the authority of the Roman church.” ... “The keeping of the counterfeit Sabbath is the reception of the mark.” (Ellen G. White, Great Controversy, Vol. 4, page 281.)

And here are a few more SDA Church quotes affirming the teachings of Ellen G White.

“Sunday-keeping is an institution of the first beast, and ALL who submit to obey this institution emphatically worship the first beast and receive his mark, 'the mark of the beast.” ... “Those who worship the beast and his image by observing the first day are certainly idolaters, as were the worshipers of the golden calf.” (Advent Review Extra, pages 10 and 11, August, 1850.)

“The Sunday Sabbath is purely a child of the Papacy. It is the mark of the beast.” (Advent Review, Vol. I, No. 2, August, 1850.)

“The mark of the beast is Sunday-keeping. A law will enforce this upon Seventh-day Adventists. They won't obey. Then they will be outlawed, persecuted, and condemned to death! Of all the wild Advent speculations in the prophecies, this deserves to stand among the wildest.” (Seventh-day Adventism Renounced by D.M. Canright, 1914.)

“Sunday-keeping must be the mark of the beast.” ... “The reception of his mark must be something that involves the greatest offense that can be committed against God.” (The Marvel of Nations, Elder U. Smith pages 170, 183.)

Dudley Marvin Canright was a pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 22 years, who later left the church and became one of its severest critics. He joined the church in 1859, at the age of 19, and rose through the ministry to a position of prominence on the General Conference, a committee of Seventh-day Adventist Church leaders. He then became a pastor of the Baptist Church and he died at age 79 sincerely believing that many SDA Church teachings are in error that he writes about in his two books, Adventism Exposed and The marvel of Nations.

So then, there should be no doubt in the minds of SDA Christians that the SDA Church does, indeed, teach that Christians who worship God on Sundays ARE taking the mark of the beast. But where or how did Ellen G. White and the SDA Church arrive at this false teaching? And more importantly WHY did she invent this teaching? Was this teaching deliberate? Or was Ellen G, White and the SDA Church simply deceived by Satan to cause division in the church? It may be both but I will only focus on SDA Christians being DECEIVED to wrongly believe that they are to STRIVE to be a PART of the 144,000 sealed in Revelation 7:1-8.

Let us go ahead and read that passage of Scripture because the SDA Church twists the true sound Biblical meaning of the 144,000 natural born children of Israel to mean a so-called “REMNANT CHURCH” in the last days. In other words, the SDA Church sincerely believes that THEY are the REMNANT of “Israel” spoken of in prophecy. But, in TRUTH, there is so such thing in the Bible as a remnant “Church” in this present world. The remnant spoken of in the Bible is God's chosen people the children of Israel who will BECOME part of the church in the world to come. In other words, the 144,000 are NOT SAVED during this present world. So why would any Christian desire to be one of the 144,000 and NOT receive eternal life AT the coming of Jesus to rule and reign WITH Jesus over the 144,000?

Here is Revelation 7:1-8.

“And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3. Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

4. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were a hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. (The church is ONLY from the SEED of Abraham through the tribe of JUDAH and NOT from ALL of the TWELVE literal tribes of natural born Jews. There will be 12,000 from EACH of the twelve different tribes of NATURAL Israel that will be sealed by God's mark of PROTECTION from being KILLED during the WRATH of God so that God leaves Himself a REMNANT of His chosen people. And for anyone to “spiritualize” the exact number of 144,000 to mean a so-called indefinite number is TWISTING the Scriptures. Simply read the Scriptures without reading a preconceived teaching into these verses)

5. Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

6. Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

7. Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

8. Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.”

Trust me when I say that you do NOT want to be a part of the 144,000 sealed because THEY will suffer the WRATH of Almighty God. But the church will NOT suffer the WRATH of God because we are NOT appointed to the wrath of God.

Please read 1 Thessalonians 5:9.

“For God has NOT appointed us to WRATH, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,”

And in Revelation 6:16,17, the last two verses right before chapter 7, we see that the wrath of God that will be executed by Jesus, the Lamb is just about to be poured out. And the angel says in the next verse, WAIT! We have to SEAL 144,000 of the children of Israel first before the wrath of god begins.

Revelation 6:16,17.

“And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17. For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”

Obviously, the REMNANT of the 144,000 SEALED Jews will be protected by God to stand and remain alive THROUGH the WRATH of God. But the 144,000 will NOT receive eternal life AT the coming of Jesus. Rather, they will be saved ALIVE in their mortal bodies to go into the 1000 year reign of Jesus to be taught of the Lord and how to be saved IN Jesus through the teaching of the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ. Also, according to Zechariah 14:16, there will also be those LEFT ALIVE of the NATIONS who will be saved alive in their mortal bodies as well. And they too will be taught the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Here is a prophecy of the TRUE REMNANT in Revelation 7 long before there was a church.

Isaiah 11:10-12.

“And in that day (Speaking of the FIRST coming of Jesus) there shall be a root of Jesse, (Speaking of the church which was an all Jewish church at the very beginning. In other words, the gospel was first preached to ONLY the natural born Jews. And only the Jews who BELIEVED the true gospel of Jesus Christ were grafted back into the ROOT of the natural olive tree after ALL of its branches had been cut OFF by God, according to Romans 11:15-30. God concluded ALL of Israel to be under sin. And ONLY the Jews who BELIEVE will be grafted into the ROOT of the natural olive tree to be saved IN Jesus and not by the works of the law. So the ensign of the people is the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ to rest in Jesus for salvation that is GLEAMED from the SHADOWS and SIGNS in the Old Testament Scriptures that point TO Jesus as being the Messiah) which shall stand for an ensign (A SIGN pointing to Jesus and the New PERPETUAL Covenant) of the people; to IT (The New Testament church of Jesus Christ and our REST in Jesus for salvation under the New PERPETUAL Covenant) shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. (Speaking of the REST in Jesus for Holiness and salvation)

11. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand AGAIN the SECOND TIME to recover the REMNANT of his people, which shall be LEFT, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, (Speaking of places in the Middle East where they will be help captives of war by the Islamic Muslim armies) and from the islands of the sea.(Speaking of the dispersed of natural born Jews that God will gather together after the WRATH has been poured out AT the return of Jesus)

12. And he (Jesus, the hand and arm of Yahweh) shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”

And this turning AGAIN a SECOND time to recover the REMNANT of ISRAEL, the 144,000 sealed in Revelation 7:1-8, will take place right after the WRATH of the Lamb is poured out on the Islamic Muslim armies for killing the Jews and the Christians during the tribulation of those days just before the return of Jesus. The REMNANT has nothing to do with the church. There is no such thing as a remnant “church” anywhere in the Bible. Ellen G. White and the SDA Church have ERRED in their interpretation of the Scripture. And thus, their eschatology of the end time events grossly CONTRADICT what the Bible ITSELF teaches us in simplicity. Here is an SDA Church quote of what they believe and teach about the 1000 years in the world to come. First, the SDA Church wrongly teaches that they ARE a part of the 144,000 sealed which they also wrongly call the remnant “church”.

“Let us strive with all the power that God has given us to be among the hundred and forty-four thousand. And let us do all that we can to help others to gain heaven.”--Review and Herald, March 9, 1905.

According to record.adventistchurch.com, the SDA Christians are being wrongly taught that they will be a part of the 144,000 sealed in Revelation 7:2. They twist the Scriptures to make the literal NUMBER of 144,000 to be a number so large that no man can number so that the “church” can be a part of Israel, that they call “spiritual” Israel. And thus, they have failed to see the DIFFERENCE between the 144,000 SEALED with the mark of God in their FOREHEADS and the church that no man can number in Revelation 7:9-17 who will be raptured while the 144,000 suffer the WRATH of God. The 144,000 will not be WASHED in the blood of the Lamb until they repent and believe the TRUE gospel IN the world to come. In other words, the 144,000 will NOT be SAVED during this present world. But rather, the 144,000 will be saved DURING the world to come. So again, why would any Christian desire to be one of the 144,000 and NOT receive eternal life AT the coming of Jesus to rue=le and reign WITH Jesus? For you see, the 144,000 will be TAUGHT the true gospel of Jesus DURING the world to come. And thus, the 144,000 will not receive eternal life until the END of the 1000 year reign of Jesus.

“The 144,000 is an all-inclusive group of faithful followers who love Jesus and are obedient to His commandments (14:4, 5). They conquer the image of the beast, endure persecution (7:1-3; cf. 14:9-11; 13:15-18), stand victorious with Jesus Christ and sing the triumphant song of their experience with God (14:3). The number is therefore symbolic of God’s end-time universal church who make up spiritual Israel (7:4-8). They are the remnants who survive the shifting in Laodicea (3:14-22) and include those who respond to the loud cry of the third angel’s message when the image of the beast becomes law (15:2).

As “first fruits” of the final harvest, the 144,000 are part of a much more abundant harvest of people from the earth, beginning with Adam and Eve and including every soul who accepts Jesus Christ before the close of human probation. Individuals will be gathered before God from all nations of the earth. Those redeemed will be an enormous multitude of people no-one can count (7:9). They will celebrate before God and the throne day and night (7:10-12).

Yes, the FINAL harvest at the END of the 1000 years will JOIN the second harvest AT the coming of Jesus but NOT until the 1000 years have ended. So you see, how they MIX a little truth in their church doctrine but then they twist the truth which then perverts the truth. According to the tenets of faith of the SDA Church, NOT ONE single person will be saved DURING the 1000 year reign of Jesus. The SDA Church teaches that Satan and the fallen angels will dwell on the earth while the church and Jesus is up in heaven for 1000 years. They totally butcher the interpretation of Revelation 18:2 to mean that Satan and the fallen angels will dwell on the surface of the earth during the Millennial reign of Jesus. Yes, the King James Version has translated the Greek word ginomai to be IS become but it literally means has become the dwelling place of devils. It simply means that wickedness has become FULL and the fullness of the Gentiles to be saved has arrived. The world has become so full of the influence of devils that no more Gentiles or Jews will be saved IN or during this PRESENT world. Let us continue with a couple SDA Church tenants of faith that are so FAR from the TRUTH that even a small child should be able to see the ERROR of interpretation made by the SDA Church.

#26. The Millennium And The End Of Sin.

“The millennium is the thousand-year reign of Christ with His saints in heaven between the first and second resurrections. During this time the wicked dead will be judged; the earth will be utterly desolate, without living human inhabitants, but occupied by Satan and his angels. At its close Christ with His saints and the Holy City will descend from heaven to earth. The unrighteous dead will then be resurrected, and with Satan and his angels will surround the city; but fire from God will consume them and cleanse the earth. The universe will thus be freed of sin and sinners forever. Support is found in these Bible passages: Revelation 20: 1Corinthians 6:2,3: Jeremiah 4:23-26: Revelation 21:1-5: Malachi 4:1: Ezekiel 28:18,19.”

#25. Death And Resurrection.

“The wages of sin is death. But God, who alone is immortal, will grant eternal life to His redeemed. Until that day death is an unconscious state for all people.

When Christ, who is our life, appears, the resurrected righteous and the living righteous will be glorified and caught up to meet their Lord. The second resurrection, the resurrection of the unrighteous, will take place a thousand years later. Support is found in these Bible passages: Romans 6:23: 1Timothy 6:15,16: Ecclesiastes 9:5,6: Psalms 146:3,4: John 11:11-14: Col. 3:4: 1Corinthians 15:51-54: 1Thessalonians 4:13-17: John 5:28,29: Revelation 20:1-20.”

So then, according to these two tenants of faith of the SDA Church their will be NO LIVING person on the earth DURING the 1000 year reign of Jesus. And that SDA Church teaching TOTALLY CONTRADICTS what the Bible ITSELF teaches us about the 1000 year reign of Jesus. First, they wrongly teach that we will reign with Jesus up in heaven, but the Bible ITSELF teaches us that we shall reign with Jesus ON the EARTH, according to Revelation 5:10.

Revelation 5:10.

“And has made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign ON the earth.”

Now, mere common sense teaches us that since we will rule and reign WITH Jesus during the 1000 year reign of Jesus then that means that there MUST be at least some people who will be ALIVE in their mortal bodies for Jesus to rule over. Does not the Bible itself clearly teach us that Jesus will have the weapons of wars made into farming equipment and the people will be taught to learn war NO MORE during the 1000 year reign of PEACE?

Please read Isaiah 2:4.

“And he (Jesus) shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”

Now, if all the wicked people are killed during the wrath of God as the SDA Church wrongly teaches, then how can Jesus teach the nations to NOT make war anymore during his 1000 year reign? Can you not see that the leaders of the SDA Church have ERRED in their interpretations of the Scriptures? To me, they have erred so much that even a child can see how much their teachings contradict what the Bible itself teaches us. For you see, they must invent another false teaching so that there will be people ALIVE at the end of the 1000 year reign of Jesus in order for living people to make war against the city of God. And thus, the SDA Church invented another teaching where they CLAIM that God will resurrect all the wicked unsaved people from Adam to the wrath of God at the return of Jesus. And then Satan will deceive those resurrected people to make war against the city of God. Let us read that tenant of the SDA faith again.

“...At its close, Christ with His saints and the Holy City will descend from heaven to earth. The unrighteous dead will then be resurrected, and with Satan and his angels will surround the city; but fire from God will consume them and cleanse the earth…”

Now, let us read what the Bible ITSELF actually teaches us in simplicity with no interpretation needed. First, you will clearly see that Satan and the fallen angels will be bound in chains in the bottomless pit DURING the 1000 year reign of PEACE having NO more war for 1000 years. Then you will see Satan ascend out of the bottomless pit to DECEIVE the nations before the final resurrection. Think this through for yourself. IF SO BE that the fire of God’s wrath destroys Satan, the fallen angels and the RESURRECTED unsaved then how will they be cast alive into the lake of fire to be destroyed. That would require a THIRD resurrection which the Bible does not teach.

Please read Revelation 20:1-3.

“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”

So then, the SDA Church teaches that Satan and the fallen angels will be the ONLY living beings living ON the earth during the 1000 year reign of Jesus TOTALLY CONTRADICTS what the Bible ITSELF teaches us in simplicity with no interpretation needed. Let us read that SDA Church tenant of faith again.

Now let us read what the Bible itself teaches.

Revelation 2:7-15.

“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

8. And shall go out to DECEIVE the nations which are IN the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

9. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, AND the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

10. AND the devil that deceived them was CAST INTO the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet ARE, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11. AND I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12. And I saw the DEAD, small AND GREAT, stand before God; and the books were opened: and ANOTHER book was opened, which is the book of LIFE: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (So we see two different types of books, another book of LIFE and a book of WORKS written in it)

13. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and THEY were judged every man according to THEIR works.

14. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15. And whosoever was NOT found written in the book of LIFE was cast into the lake of fire.”

This teaches us that some of the people saved DURING the 1000 year reign of Jesus could have their names blotted out of this other book of LIFE. And thus, they ALSO will be cast into the lake of fire along with the wicked unsaved dead from Adam to the end of the 1000 year reign of Jesus. For you see, after the 1000 years are finished Satan will be let loose out of his prison in the bottomless pit to once again DECEIVE that nations to make war.

My point is that clearly seeing that the SDA Church is WRONG about themselves being “the remnant” or at least being a part of the REMNANT of the 144,000 sealed Jews, then their WHOLE argument about the keeping of the weekly Sabbath DAY as being the SEAL of God that SAVES the so-called remnant “CHURCH” is totally bogus or NOT TRUE. It is all a fake made up lie of deception just to try and prove that the keeping of the weekly Sabbath DAY is binding on Christians. Everything that the SDA Church teaches surrounds their false teaching of the weekly Sabbath DAY as being binding on the whole world in order to be SAVED. Here is another SDA Church quote about them being the REMNANT church and their mission.

“The universal church is composed of all who truly believe in Christ, but in the last days, a time of widespread apostasy, a remnant has been called out to keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. This remnant announces the arrival of the judgment hour, proclaims salvation through Christ, and heralds the approach of His second advent.

This proclamation is symbolized by the three angels of Revelation 14; it coincides with the work of judgment in heaven and results in a work of repentance and reform on earth. Every believer is called to have a personal part of this worldwide witness. Support is found in these Bible passages: Revelation 12:17: Revelation 14:6-12: Revelation 18:1-4: 2 Corinthians 5:10: Jude 3 and Jude 14: 1Peter 1:16-19: 2Peter 3:10-14: Revelation 21:1-14.”

Let us now closely examine these passages of Scriptures that the SDA Church use to TRY and prove that they are the so-called remnant “CHURCH”. Yes, there is a REMNANT of God’s chosen people Israel. But again, there is no such thing taught in the Bible as there being a remnant “CHURCH”. So you can see how this remnant church teaching self exalts the SDA Church to be better than all other Christian churches, including all of the seventh day of the week Sabbath-keeping churches that wrongly teach that Christians must keep ALL of the Law of Moses. Let us begin with the CONTEXT of Revelation 12:17 so you can see that the remnant is the woman, Israel, and NOT the church. And so you can also see that the TIMING of Israel becoming a REMNANT will be during the 3 1/2 years of the GREAT tribulation in the future and NOT way back in 1844. I will highlight all the words teaching us who the TRUE REMNANT is in green. I say in the future because at the time of this writing of the study in God's word in the summer of 2021 the great tribulation has not yet begun. I believe that the great tribulation will begin in the SPRING of the year and that Jesus will return 3 1/3 years in the FALL of the year.

Revelation 12:1,5-6,13-17.

“1. And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:...

...5. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

6. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days…

... 13. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, AND (Satan will also make war with the SAINTS during the 1260 days of the great tribulation who) have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

Clearly, you should be seeing that the REMNANT is the seed of NATURAL Israel as being ONE of the TWO witnesses in Revelation chapter 11, and the OTHER witness is the CHURCH. The church is the witness during this present world and the 144,000 REMNANT of natural Israel will be the witness during the world to come for 1000 years. The life span during the 1000 year reign of Jesus will be 100 years of age and no person will die prematurely, according to the prophecy in Isaiah 65:20-25.

Isaiah 65:20-25.

“There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that has NOT FILLED his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

21. And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

22. They shall not build, and another inhabit; (Or no more stealing by bank repossession of houses) they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

23. They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.

24. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

25. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall NOT hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, says the LORD.”

Can you not see that the SDA Church teaches that exact OPPOSITE of what the Bible itself teaches? So how can you trust in their dogmatic mandatory intimidating teaching that Christ MUST keep the weekly Sabbath DAY or they are taking the MARK of the beast?

The foundation for the building of the doctrine of a remnant “CHURCH” is based on the three messages of the angels in Revelation 14:6-12. Here is a quote from an SDA Church website. This SDA Church teaching comes from the Mark of the Beast writing that is abbreviated as MOB then a reference to the chapter and verse in the SDA doctrine called the Mark of the BEAST. The MOB is NOT the Bible, but rather, the MOB is a book written by an SDA Christian.

“1. There are three messages in Revelation 14:6-12. MOB 2.1

2. The Son of Man comes on the white cloud to reap the harvest of the earth just after these messages are given. The great wine-press of the wrath of God is trodden at that time. See verses 14-20. MOB 2.2

3. Some of the leading facts of the Third Message of that chapter are to be developed under the influence of Spiritualism, now extensively prevailing in the land. Chap 13:11-17. MOB 2.3

4. The first message—“the hour of his judgment is come”—was given by William Miller and others; declared by them to be “the leading advent proclamation—the main branch of our [their] specific work.” MOB 2.4

5. The second message was believed, and so fulfilled, by tens of thousands of conscientious, God-fearing Adventists in New England and elsewhere; and the power of God witnessed to the truthfulness of the cry of “Babylon is fallen.” MOB 2.5

6. By comparing the Third Message, Revelation 14:9-12, with chap 16:1, 2, it will be seen that the seven last plagues are poured out after the Third Message is given; for the first vial is poured on those who are denounced in that message for receiving the mark of the beast; and therefore these plagues constitute “the wine of the wrath of God,” “without mixture,” of that message. MOB 2.6

Please carefully examine these facts, and you must be convinced that the subject of, and warning against, the mark of the beast, are not only weighty and important, but are “present truth,” as certainly as that our Savior’s advent is “now nigh at hand.” The events immediately connected with the second advent all cluster around the message warning against this mark. MOB 2.7”

Now, I agree that the threat of Christians being deceived to take the TRUE mark of the beast which, to me, is to convert to Islam, is indeed, PRESENT at hand. But I strongly disagree with the first and second messages of the angel as being ALREADY fulfilled by Adventist Christians starting in the early 1800s as being the REMNANT of the 144,000. For you see, according to the Bible itself, we have already clearly seen the 144,000 as being NATURAL born Jews and NOT a so-called remnant “CHURCH”.

Let us go ahead and read Revelation 14:6-20.

“And I saw another angel FLY in the MIDST of heaven, (Or in the SKY called the first heaven, the atmosphere of the earth and NOT up in the third heaven. The city of God itself will be in space orbiting the earth above the city of Jerusalem. And we will travel in the AIR coming in and out of the city to preach the everlasting gospel from the AIR) having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, (So again, the SDA Church has it WRONG about there being NO LIVING person on the earth AFTER the wrath of God is poured out by Jesus at his return. We will NOT be taken up into heaven to rule and reign with Jesus. Who would we rule over if everyone else is dead? The TRUTH is that we, the church, will preach the gospel from the AIR to the people left alive on the earth. THEY will marry and have children generation after generation for 1000 years with no premature death, no starvation, no sickness and disease, no one being killed and wild animals, no more murders, and no more WAR. So their numbers will multiply as the sands of the sea during the 1000 year reign of Jesus as the King of PEACE)

7. Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. (Those people who will HEAR the three messages of the angels will have just survived the FIRST HALF an hour of God’s wrath. So then, these three messages will be preached DURING the world to come. The FIRST message may begin during the wrath of God but it will continue during the entire 1000 year reign of Jesus throughout every generation after generation)

8. And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. (In other words, the very reason for why the wrath of God was poured out upon them is because of HER fornication. So again, the three messages will be preached to the people who survive the WRATH of Almighty God and the CHURCH is NOT appointed to the wrath of God)

9. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10. The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: (This is speaking of the second HALF of God’s wrath that will be poured out after the 1000 year reign has ended. So the mark of the beast is the worship of Satan through the religion of Islam and NOT by worshiping the TRUE God on a Sunday. Now this SAME mark of the beast is present NOW in this present world. But it will also be a threat in the world to come. For you see, some of the seed of Abraham through the seed of Ishmael and Esau will be left alive to go into the millennial reign of Jesus to also be taught of the Lord from year to year throughout their generations. And at first, some of them may rebel and not desire to be the servants of the brother of the seed of Jacob renamed Israel. And thus, they will still follow Islam and their god Satan who they sincerely believe is the true God. Put yourself in their shoes hating the Jews with ever fiber of their being and then being made servants or slaves to the Jews during the 1000 year reign of Jesus. The Muslims sincerely believe that they ALONE have the true religion. So then, mere common sense should tell you that the Muslims will not easily give up their religion of Islam in the world to come, at least at first for the first few generations. And then, again, at the end of the 1000 years they will be DECEIVED by Satan to take Satan’s mark of Islam to once again make war with the saints of Israel who were saved during the 1000 years and who are alive at the end of the 1000 years)

11. And the smoke of their torment (The ones who worship Satan through Islam or though any other false world religion will suffer the last half of God’s WRATH. And the smoke of THEIR torment) ascends up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name. (This verse of Scripture is used by some Christians to teach their doctrine of eternal torment in hell for all eternity. But, in truth, this verse is speaking about the WRATH of God that lasts but ONE HOUR, the HOUR of God’s WRATH. It has nothing to do with the lake of fire and the destruction of the wicked along with Satan and the fallen angels after the final Day of Judgment)

12. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. (Again, speaking of the TWO different WITNESSES. The 144.000 REMNANT of Israel will become Christians during the 1000 year reign of Jesus. And this verse is also speaking of the other witness of the church during this present world as well who have the FAITH of Jesus to NOT convert to Islam during this present world. But the immediate context speaks more so of the remnant of Israel that presently keeps the commandments in the Old Covenant who will then become Christians to keep the FAITH of Jesus which is to keep just TWO commandments under the new Covenant AFTER the WRATH of God in poured out by Jesus at his coming. But when we consider the whole context we must conclude that the COMMANDMENTS here is NOT speaking of any of the CEREMONIAL commandments contained in ORDINANCES seeing the Jesus abolished and nailed those ORDINANCES to the cross. And that INCLUDED the ORDINANCES contained in the FOURTH commandment)

13. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.

14. And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. (Here we can see the TIME period in which these three angel messages will take place in the FUTURE at the coming of Jesus and NOT beginning way back in early 1800s with the Adventist preaching of the Millerites.)

15. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in you sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. (Again, according to 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, there will be TWO more harvests of first fruits. Jesus was the FIRST harvest of first fruits. Then we, the church, who are IN Jesus DURING this present world will be the SECOND harvest of first fruits. And then the THIRD and final harvest of first fruits unto God will be those saints that SHALL yet be saved DURING the 1000 year reign of Jesus. So while there may SEEM to be just one harvest being spoken of in the book of Revelation, their is actually two separate harvests of the TWO witnesses in Revelation chapter 11. There will be one harvest of the FIRST witness BEFORE the 1000 years and another harvest of the second witness AFTER the 1000 years when the beast ascends OUT of the bottomless pit. It is the SAME beast that makes war with BOTH witnesses but each war is at different times, one war will be right before the 1000 years and the other final war will be after the 1000 years)

16. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17. And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. (Again, there will be TWO wraths, as in, HALF an HOUR of God’s wrath will be executed by Jesus immediately AFTER the 3 1/2 years of the great tribulation but right BEFORE the 1000 years begins. God will have mercy and lift His wrath lest He leaves not a REMNANT of His chosen people natural born Israel. And the second HALF of an HOUR of the HOUR of God’s wrath will be poured out after the 1000 years has ended.

19. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

20. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.”

I believe that BOTH the Battle of Armageddon AND the war of Gog and Magog will be fought in the same location just outside of the city of Jerusalem. But they will be 1000 years apart. The second war which is listed first in Ezekiel we can clearly see that Israel is dwelling SAFELY which teaches us that this prophesied war will be fought at the END of the 1000 year reign of Jesus as the King of PEACE. Remember, there will be NO WARS for 1000 years in the world to come. And that will be a WITNESS against Satan to prove that he is the cause of evil and NOT God.

Now we know that Babylon can NOT possibly be the Roman Catholic Church because the Roman Catholic Church did NOT exist in Old Testament times when the prophets were slain.

Please read Revelation 18:24.

“And in her (Speaking of Babylon is fallen is fallen) was found the blood of prophets, AND of saints, AND of ALL that were slain upon the earth.”

Now, the only one who has been around the whole time that humans have been on the earth is Satan, the rebel god of this present world. So then, the CITY of Babylon represents the unsaved who follow after the god of this present world. The BEAST that ascends out of the bottomless pit is NOT the Roman Catholic Church. But rather, the BEAST that the woman rides is Satan, the same beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit.

With that being said, I will bring this study in God's word to an end for now by saying that the mark of the beast is NOT Christians worshiping God on Sunday and not resting on Saturday, the seventh DAY of the week. To ME, the TRUE mark of the beast is Islam. For you see, when one converts to Islam they are DENYING that Jesus IS the Son of the living God who died on the cross to atone for our sins which is the core teaching of the Christian faith.
