M-7. WHY the Holy Spirit is NOT a THIRD PERSON of the Trinity?

There are many different beliefs that Christians have as to WHO or WHAT the Holy Spirit is. But which belief is the truth?

Is the Holy Spirit the THIRD PERSON of the “TRINITY” as some Christians teach? 

Or is the Holy Spirit of Almighty God just a FORCE or a POWER that is sent forth FROM Almighty God as some other Christians teach?

OR is the Holy Spirit the SELF-SAME ETERNAL SPIRIT of the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the Father HIMSELF?

What does the Bible teach us as to who or what the Holy Spirit is in the light of the whole word of God?

Let us begin this study in God's word by first explaining a little of these first two beliefs I just mentioned before we examine the Scriptural evidence for the third belief.

#1. Is the Holy Spirit the THIRD PERSON of the TRINITY?

The doctrine of the “TRINITY” states that there are THREE SEPARATE PERSONS in ONE God. That is to say, there is God the FATHER, there is God the SON, and there is God the HOLY SPIRIT, who are SEPARATE PERSONS in ONE God. In other words, the doctrine of the trinity does NOT say that there are THREE SEPARATE Gods but rather states that there is but ONE God in THREE SEPARATE PERSONS, who are CO-EQUAL and CO-ETERNAL. And, according to the doctrine of the Trinity, the term CO-EQUAL means that none of the three separate persons of the Trinity are LESS than nor GREATER than the other. And the term CO-ETERNAL means that ALL THREE have ALWAYS existed for all eternity and NONE have a BEGINNING nor an ENDING.

#2. Is the Holy Spirit simply a FORCE of POWER?

Some Christians teach that the Holy Spirit is just a force or a power of Almighty God the Father that he sends forth to do his will and that the Holy Spirit is NOT a PERSON of the Trinity Godhead.

#3. Is the Holy Spirit the SELF-SAME eternal Spirit Almighty God the Father HIMSELF?

In other words, this third option means that the Holy Spirit of Almighty God the Father IS ONE and the SELF SAME BEING AS Almighty God the Father HIMSELF. That is to say, the Holy Spirit is NOT a SEPARATE PERSON from Almighty God the Father, but rather the Holy Spirit is ONE and the SAME PERSON as Almighty God the FATHER. To say this another way the Holy Spirit IS the FATHER and Almighty God the Father IS the HOLY SPIRIT.

So then, now that the three different points of view have been briefly explained let us now begin this study in God's word to see which view best fits the EVIDENCE from the word of TRUTH, the Holy Bible. Please read Ephesians 4:30 where we are clearly and plainly taught that the Holy Spirit can be GRIEVED.

Ephesians 4:20.

“And GRIEVE NOT the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption.”

Grief is a FEELING or an EMOTION that an impersonal FORCE or impersonal POWER does NOT possess. Therefore this one verse alone should prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that the Holy Spirit is a PERSON or more precisely the Holy Spirit is the divine being of Almighty God HIMSELF with FEELINGS that can be GRIEVED.

But sadly, some Christians who do indeed see ONLY TWO DISTINCT PERSONS being Almighty God the Father AND his SON Jesus being clearly and plainly taught in the Bible, then they try and make the Holy Spirit to be just a mere power or force that Almighty God the Father uses. For you see, in truth, a THIRD separate distinct PERSON just does NOT fit neatly within the context of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. So, therefore, some NON-Trinitarian Christians who simply do not know what to call the Holy Spirit have become deceived by the enemy to falsely teach that the Holy Spirit is just an impersonal force or a power that is used by Almighty God the Father to do his will.

Now, while I do agree that the whole word of Almighty God truly only speaks of TWO different persons rather than THREE different persons, I myself do NOT AGREE that the Holy Spirit is just some impersonal force or power that is used by Almighty God to perform his will. But rather, I myself believe that the Holy Spirit IS the Father and Almighty God the Father IS the Holy Spirit, as in, they are ONE and the SELF-SAME BEING the ETERNAL SPIRIT. For you see, there can only be ONE Almighty God that is the ONLY Potentate who alone has always been an immortal invisible being that the Bible calls SPIRIT. This will be explained further as we continue this study in God's word. But first, let us read a few verses where the Holy Spirit is called by the PERSONAL pronoun of HE that is in CONNECTION with the HE speaking of Almighty God the FATHER as well.

Please read John 14:8-17.

“Philip said unto him, Lord, show us the FATHER, and it suffices us.

9. Jesus said unto him, Have I been with you for such a long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father; and how say you then, Show us the Father? (Jesus was NOT saying that he HIMSELF IS the FATHER. But rather, Jesus was saying I have been showing you Almighty God the Father BY the WORKS that I have done THROUGH the eternal Spirit dwelling in me. Did you think that I did these mighty works of MYSELF Philip? Do you not UNDERSTAND that it is the FATHER who DWELLS IN me and the Almighty God Himself is the one who is doing these mighty works? Therefore, I say to you Philip that anyone who has seen me has seen the TRUE God who DWELLS IN me proving to them that Almighty God is WITH me bearing WITNESS of me that I am THE CHRIST, the ANOINTED ONE of my God and Father who DWELLS IN me to do the works that you see me do)

10. Believe you not that I am IN the Father and the FATHER IN me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the FATHER that dwells IN me, HE (Speaking of Almighty God the FATHER HIMSELF the eternal Holy Spirit who DWELT IN Jesus) does the works.

11. Believe me that I am IN the Father, and the FATHER IN ME: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

12. Verily, verily, (Or TRULY, TRULY) I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do ALSO; and greater works than these shall he do; BECAUSE I go unto my Father. (The reason that Jesus ascended to the Father was to present his shed blood to the Father to cleanse us from all our sins so that the FATHER could DWELL IN US just as Almighty God the Father DWELT IN his SON Jesus the Son of MAN. This is HOW Jesus overcame sin and did the WORKS that his God and Father SENT his SON Jesus to do. And these SAME works of healing shall WE DO ALSO because Almighty God the Father himself now DWELLS IN US as Believers in the SON OF Almighty God the Father.)

13. And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, THAT the Father may be glorified IN the SON.

14. If you shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.

15. If you love me, keep my commandments.

16. And I will pray to the Father, and he shall give you another (Most Christians who read this think the Comforter is different than the one that dwelt in Jesus. The Greek word “allon” means ‘another of the same KIND’. Whereas, the Greek word “heteron” means ‘another of a different kind’. The exact same Eternal Spirit who dwelt in Jesus dwells in all believers. Also, as a side note, E-Sword, in my opinion, is not correct when it says different, as in, to be different in EVERY application) Comforter, that HE (Almighty God the FATHER HIMSELF being the eternal Holy Spirit himself through the EARNEST of His self-same Spirit) may abide with you forever;

17. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees HIM not, neither knows HIM: but you know HIM; for HE dwells WITH you, and shall be IN you.”

So here in this passage of Scripture it is made blatantly CLEAR to us that Almighty God the FATHER HIMSELF DWELT IN his SON Jesus and that it was this SPIRIT of TRUTH who was the one who was actually doing the WORKS by the HUMAN VISIBLE HANDS of the Son of MAN, Jesus the CHRIST, the ANOINTED ONE of Almighty God the Father. We also learn that this SELF-SAME SPIRIT of TRUTH shall DWELL is us as believers as well. Jesus said that the Spirit was WITH them but after the cross, the Holy Spirit would dwell IN believers. So the word “ANOTHER” comforter does not mean a THIRD separate person from the Father. But rather, it means that Christians will be where Jesus is, as in, being FILLED with the Holy Spirit and power after the cross. In other words, we, as Christians are where Jesus was in his ministry having the same power and authority in the NAME of Jesus. For you see, the SAME Holy Spirit who dwelt in Jesus now dwells in us. Please read 1 John 4:9-16 where we are clearly and plainly taught that Almighty God the Father DWELLS IN US as believers in Jesus Christ the SON OF Almighty God the Father.

1 John 4:9-16.

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God SENT his only begotten SON into the world, that we might live through him.

10. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and SENT his SON to be the propitiation for our sins.

11. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12. No man has SEEN God at ANY time. (Now the reason that no man has ever SEEN Almighty God the Father is because the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the Father is the INVISIBLE ETERNAL SPIRIT. But yet many men have indeed SEEN God’s SON Jesus) If we love one another, GOD dwells IN us, (Again, Almighty God the Father is ETERNAL. God is a Spirit. The ETERNAL SPIRIT dwelt in Jesus. And Jesus identified the one dwelling in him as being the FATHER. So to me, Almighty God the Father IS the Spirit of truth, the God of all comfort who DWELLS IN us as believers. In other words, Almighty God the Father HIMSELF dwells in us by giving us an EARNEST of His Spirit. God is SPIRIT. God is HOLY. So then, the Holy Spirit Almighty God the Father Himself dwells in us) and His (The Father's) love is perfected in us.

13. Hereby, we KNOW that we dwell IN Him, (Almighty God the Father the eternal Holy Spirit) and HE (Speaking of Almighty God the FATHER HIMSELF DWELLS) IN us, because HE (The FATHER) has given us of HIS Spirit. (In other words, we KNOW that Almighty God the FATHER DWELLS IN us, as Christians, BECAUSE Almighty God the Father has given us an EARNEST of His very own SELF-SAME ETERNAL SPIRIT to DWELL IN US as believers in His SON Jesus)

14. And we have seen and do testify that the Father SENT the SON to be the Savior of the world. (Almighty God did NOT send HIMSELF to be the Savior of the world, but rather, Almighty God the Father SENT or COMMISSIONED His only begotten SON who was BORN of the Virgin Mary. In other words, God conceived His human Son in the womb of the Virgin Mary first. Then God ANOINTED the Son of MAN with His very OWN SELF-SAME eternal Holy Spirit to EMPOWER his SON, Jesus. And the earnest of God’s eternal Spirit was the one who actually did the WORKS through the Son of MAN, Jesus, that his God and Father SENT His human SON OUT into the world to do. It was the FATHER HIMSELF dwelling IN his SON Jesus who was the one who actually did the WORKS that men saw Jesus do. Jesus always gave all the glory to his God and Father as the one who did the WORKS saying, the SON can do NOTHING of HIMSELF, it is the FATHER IN me who does these works)

15. WHOSOEVER shall CONFESS that Jesus is the SON OF God, (Then) God (Speaking of Almighty God the FATHER Himself through His very OWN SELF SAME eternal Holy Spirit and NOT a so-called THIRD person of a so-called Trinity God called God the Holy Spirit. But rather, it is the EARNEST of the ONE eternal Spirit who) DWELLS IN HIM, and he IN God. (Now, Oneness Christians argue that Jesus is the Father because Jesus was IN the Father and the Father IN him. But this verse here in 1 John 4:9-16 teaches us that God is IN us and we are in Him and that does NOT make us be Almighty God the Father)

16. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he that dwells in love dwells IN God, and God IN HIM.”

So then, these passages of Scripture that we just read clearly teach us that Almighty God the Father and His Holy Spirit are ONE and the SELF-SAME ETERNAL SPIRIT BEING who is INVISIBLE and who DWELLS IN us as believers in Jesus being the SON OF Almighty God the Father the ETERNAL Holy Spirit. You see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, we are taught in God's word that the SPIRIT of Almighty God the Father is ETERNAL. And, therefore, there is no need to fabricate a so-called THIRD person of a so-called Trinity Godhead. Please read Hebrews 9:14 where we see Jesus overcome sin THROUGH the eternal Spirit who dwelt in him during his ministry that started at his baptism by John the Baptist.

Hebrews 9:14.

“How much more shall the blood of Christ, (Speaking of HUMAN Son of MAN, Jesus, the SON OF Almighty God the Father whom Almighty God ANOINTED or EMPOWER by DWELLING IN his SON Jesus) WHO (Speaking of Jesus the Son of MAN in whom DWELT his God and Father the ETERNAL SPIRIT. That is to say the anointed Son of MAN, Jesus) THROUGH the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot TO God, (In other words, Jesus the Son of MAN, the HUMAN Jesus lived his life WITHOUT sin THROUGH the power and strength that he received by his God and Father who DWELT IN him to live his life without sin. The Holy Spirit also strengthened Jesus to overcome his own will and chose his God and Father’s will to die on the cross for our sins. And not only for our sins but also for the sins of the whole world so that WHOSOEVER believes might be saved. And NOW this SAME Holy eternal SPIRIT that DWELLS IN YOU as a believer shall) purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

Here in this passage of Scripture, we learn that the Holy Spirit of Almighty God the Father is an ETERNAL SPIRIT. Now let us read 1 Timothy 6:13-16 where we are clearly and plainly taught that Almighty God the Father ONLY has IMMORTALITY.

1 Timothy 6:13-16.

“I give you charge in the sight of God, (Speaking of Almighty God the Father) who quickens all things, (Or who makes alive all things or who gives life to all things) AND before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; (Again, we see ONLY TWO separate persons and they are Almighty God the Father AND his SON CHRIST Jesus or the ANOINTED ONE Jesus. In other words, the vast majority of the New Testament ONLY speaks of TWO, the Father, AND his SON Jesus whom we must believe in BOTH. For if we do NOT have the SON then we do NOT have the FATHER. And many of these verses are important verses to NOT include the so-called CO-EQUAL third person of the so-called Trinity Godhead. In truth, the reason that a so-called “THIRD” person is not included is that there is NO THIRD person. God is NOT a “Trinity” God. But rather the true God is one God in ONE person and that one person is the Father ALONE. The Apostle Paul gives Timothy and us CHARGE before Almighty God the Father and His Son)

14. That you keep this commandment (The word translated as commandment here in this verse means principle or TEACHING. So then, we are to keep this TEACHING in these verses of Scripture) without spot, UNREBUKEABLE, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

15. Which in his times he (Speaking of the first and second comings of Jesus that Jesus the SON OF Almighty God the Father) shall SHOW, WHO is the blessed and ONLY Potentate, (In other words, Jesus the SON OF Almighty God the Father came to SHOW us the FATHER, who is the ONLY SOVEREIGN Almighty God, who reigns over ALL including reigning over his SON Jesus. To say this another way, Jesus came so that we might KNOW the FATHER as the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God who is) the King of kings, and Lord of lords; (Now I know that many of us have been taught that JESUS is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. And this is true, but it is NOT the WHOLE TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. The TRUTH of the matter is that Almighty God the FATHER is THE ETERNAL KING who is King of ALL kings including being King, Lord, and God OVER his SON Jesus. The truth of the matter is that the Father has MADE the Son of MAN, Jesus, to become a King of kings and a Lord of Lords. Please read the study “Revelation 17:14 WHO IS THE KING OF KINGS?” for all the Scriptures that teach what I just said, but for now, just know that the WHO that Jesus came to SHOW us is the FATHER)

16. WHO ONLY has IMMORTALITY, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; WHOM no man has SEEN, NOR CAN SEE: (Here we are CLEARLY and PLAINLY taught that the WHO that Jesus came to SHOW is the INVISIBLE ETERNAL SPIRIT whom Jesus calls the FATHER and it is the FATHER the ONLY SOVEREIGN ALMIGHTY God who ALONE has IMMORTALITY) to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen.”

So then, since ONLY the INVISIBLE God whom NO man has ever seen, nor can see is the ONLY ONE who is ETERNAL or IMMORTAL and that this INVISIBLE God is ALSO the ONLY one who is SOVEREIGN. And this means that ONE being who is Sovereign is OVER and above ALL, in that, He is the ALMIGHTY and the MOST-HIGH or the HIGHEST God. And that means that the FATHER is the one who is being spoken of in this passage of Scripture.

Now since there is ONLY ONE who is IMMORTAL or ETERNAL who is an INVISIBLE SPIRIT seeing that God is a SPIRIT, then we must conclude that Almighty God the FATHER IS the ETERNAL SPIRIT who DWELT IN His SON Jesus. In other words, we have ONLY TWO and NOT THREE separate persons as those who teach the false doctrine of the “TRINITY” dogmatically demand. Rather, the Bible itself really only speaks of TWO separate persons and we must believe in BOTH to have eternal life in the world to come.

The word of TRUTH clearly and plainly teaches us that Jesus the SON OF Almighty God the Father did NOT possess ETERNAL LIFE or IMMORTALITY UNTIL his God and Father GAVE his SON Jesus the same eternal or immortal LIFE that the Father HIMSELF has always possessed from all eternity. Please read John 5:15-32, which clearly teaches us that Jesus did NOT possess eternal life UNTIL his God and Father GAVE TO his Son Jesus the same eternal life that the Father himself possessed within himself.

John 5:15-32.

“The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

16. And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to SLAY him, because he had done these things ON the Sabbath day. (Here again, we see the Jews wanted to KILL Jesus, but this time it was because to them Jesus SUPPOSEDLY broke the Sabbath day, at least in the eyes of the Pharisees, when Jesus healed a man BY the Holy Spirit of Almighty God the Father ON the Sabbath day)

17. BUT Jesus answered them, My Father WORKS hitherto, and I work. (In other words, Jesus is saying BUT I am ONLY OBEYING what my Father is SHOWING me to DO. Further down in this study you will understand that this means that the Father through his Holy Spirit was showing Jesus what to do and when to do it and Jesus simply OBEYED the leading of the Holy Spirit. In simple words, Jesus was saying I am only doing what Almighty God my Father told me to do)

18. Therefore (Or for this REASON) the JEWS sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the Sabbath but said ALSO that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. (In other words, the JEWS incorrectly interpreted the words of Jesus and FALSELY ACCUSED Jesus of making himself EQUAL to Almighty God. But as you will plainly see as you continue to read the CONTEXT that Jesus ANSWERED in his DEFENSE the FOLLOWING)

19. Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do NOTHING OF HIMSELF, but what he sees the Father do: for what things soever he does, these also does the Son likewise. (In other words, Jesus is saying, I am NOT making myself EQUAL with my God and Father, because the SON can do NOTHING OF HIMSELF. But I must OBEY my God and Father to DO whatever my Father is DOING. That is to say, whatever Jesus the Son of MAN saw in a dream or in a vision or in the written word of God and whatever Jesus heard the Father say to do by the inward voice of the Holy Spirit, then Jesus simply OBEYED what he knew that the Father was telling him to do. This is what Jesus meant when he said his Father was WORKING on the Sabbath day, and so I also must work the same works that I see my father doing. Now to ME, this DEFENSE that Jesus makes right after the Jews FALSELY ACCUSE him of making himself EQUAL with God clearly teaches us that Jesus was in NO WAY claiming to be the great I AM nor was Jesus making himself to be EQUAL with Almighty God the Father because Jesus HIMSELF clearly and plain said that the SON can do NOTHING OF HIMSELF. Further on you will learn that it was the Father DWELLING IN Jesus the SON who actually did the WORKS that the SON could NOT do OF HIMSELF)

20. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all things that himself does: and he will show him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

21. For as the Father raises up the dead, and quickens them; even so the Son quickens whom he will.

22. For the Father judges no man, but has COMMITTED all judgment unto the Son:

23. That (Or so that) all men should HONOR the Son, EVEN AS they HONOR the Father. He that honors NOT the Son honors NOT the Father which has SENT him. (In other words, the Bible teaches us that we must believe and have BOTH the Father AND the SON in order to have ETERNAL LIFE in the world to come. But yet the doctrine of the trinity dogmatically demands us to believe that Jesus IS the I AM, as in, Jesus is ONE and the self SAME BEING as the GREAT I AM that I AM YAHWEH Himself. Yes, there is absolutely no doubt that Jesus came OUT FROM the one true and only ALMIGHTY God. But this by no means that Jesus IS the one true and ONLY ALMIGHTY God. You see, THE ALMIGHTY God has NO beginning and has NOT been BEGOTTEN, but Jesus the SON OF Almighty God was BEGOTTEN or brought into existence. Yes, there is no doubt that Jesus came OUT FROM Almighty God by or through the spoken WORD of Almighty God, but again this does not mean that Jesus is Almighty God YAHWEH Himself. You see God said, “I AM THAT I AM”, which LITERALLY means that Almighty God said “I SHALL BECOME who I am BECOMING”, which could very well be interpreted that Almighty God HIMSELF literally BECAME a HUMAN BEING. But in the light of the WHOLE word of God we understand that God created all things by His very own spoken WORD that came forth out from His very own mouth. So AGAIN, please read “A TRINITARIAN DILEMMA-PHILIPPIANS 2:6” where the Word laid aside all the divine advantages that he had when the Word BECAME FLESH a HUMAN BEING and dwelt among us. In other words, as the Father SPOKE His word He FORMED His words in such a way that His Messiah would have no power of his OWN)

24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that SENT me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (All through the New Testament we see TWO in whom that we are taught to believe in, Almighty God the Father AND the SON Jesus. Please read the study “DOES HEBREWS 1:10 PROVE THAT JESUS IS YAHWEH?” for a deeper understanding that the ETERNAL SPIRIT IS Almighty God the Father HIMSELF who is a SPIRIT and that Jesus is the SON OF Almighty God the Father, the eternal Holy Spirit)

25. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. (Jesus has the POWER to raise the dead because the God OF Jesus GAVE his Son this authority, which you will clearly see in the context of this verse that follows)

26. For (Or BECAUSE) AS the Father has life IN himself; SO has He GIVEN TO the Son to have life IN himself; (In other words, Jesus the SON did NOT always eternally exist with or by the side of his God and Father from all eternity past except in the mind and plan of Almighty God. Everything that Jesus is or has, was GIVEN TO him BY his God and Father the one true and only ALMIGHTY God. In other words, John 1:1 says that the WORD, the LOGOS, or the SAYING was with God in a beginning and NOT that Jesus or the Son was with the Almighty God in the beginning. Please read the study “JOHN 1:1 THE WORD WAS GOD!”)

27. And has GIVEN him authority to execute judgment ALSO, BECAUSE he is the Son of MAN. (In other words, all that Jesus is or has was GIVEN TO him BY his God and Father was NOT because Jesus IS THE Almighty God, NOR was it because Jesus was the SON OF GOD, but rather the REASON that Jesus was HIGHLY EXALTED and GIVEN a NAME above all name is BECAUSE Jesus is the Son of MAN who OVERCAME the enemy of God to fulfill God's plan of redemption for mankind)

28. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, (Again, all that Jesus is and all that Jesus has INCLUDING IMMORTAL LIFE and the AUTHORITY to raise the dead and give to whom so ever Jesus wills eternal life was GIVEN TO him BY HIS God and Father the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God. Remember that Almighty God said I AM THAT I AM, or I will BE what I will BE, or I shall BECOME what or who I am BECOMING. The WORD BECAME a HUMAN BEING so that Almighty God HIMSELF could DWELL IN this body of FLESH that he created for Himself to dwell in, which was the SON OF Almighty God the Father. Jesus was GIVEN all POWER to raise the dead and JUDGMENT to give ETERNAL LIFE to whomsoever he wills BECAUSE Jesus was the Son of MAN and NOT because Jesus was FULLY God, nor because Jesus was the SON of God. But rather, Jesus was highly exalted and given all power BECAUSE Jesus was the Son of MAN, a HUMAN BEING, that OVERCAME the enemy BY the Holy Spirit of Almighty God who DWELT IN Jesus. This is what the WHOLE word of God clearly teaches us)

29. And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation,

30. I can OF MY OWN SELF DO NOTHING: (Simply ask yourself the question HOW the TRUE God can do NOTHING in and of HIMSELF if so be that Jesus is the only true God Himself? I mean THINK this through for yourself. If so be that Jesus was truly fully Almighty God HIMSELF in the flesh, then HOW is it that THE Almighty God Himself in the flesh can do NOTHING in and of Himself? The TRUTH of the matter is that Jesus is NOT the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God, who is the FATHER ALONE, who DWELT IN HIS SON Jesus as the TRUE God who actually did the WORKS through the human hands of His SON Jesus) as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek NOT my OWN will, BUT the will of the Father which has SENT me. (Now, in all honesty, does this sound like Jesus is saying that he himself is the great I AM or that Jesus is saying that he is EQUAL to Almighty God the Father? Absolutely NOT! Jesus himself clearly and plainly said with absolutely NO interpretation needed that he could do NOTHING in and of himself. Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters, in our Lord Jesus Christ, that IF Jesus were TRULY the Almighty God himself or even EQUAL with Almighty God, then Jesus would have never said that he could do NOTHING of HIMSELF)

31. If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

32. There is ANOTHER that bears witness of me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of me are true.”

To all the Oneness Christians, the word of TRUTH teaches us that ANOTHER BEING that is a SEPARATE being from the Son bears witness of Jesus as bent sent by his God and Father. How can a so-called manifestation of Yahweh the HIGHEST God have ANOTHER God over Him? The Bible makes it plainly clear in SIMPLICITY that the Father is the God OF Jesus. 

The truth of the matter is that everything that Jesus is or has was GIVEN TO him BY his God and Father the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the INVISIBLE ETERNAL SPIRIT who ONLY has IMMORTALITY until the day that he gave his SON Jesus to HAVE LIFE in himself EVEN AS the Father has LIFE in himself. Now only these TWO have IMMORTALITY in themselves UNTIL that great and notable day to the coming of Jesus and his Father with him, when Jesus will give eternal life to those faithful believers who have endured until the end.

Again, the majority of the New Testament speaks of ONLY TWO separate persons. And those two separate persons are Almighty God the Father AND His SON Jesus. Throughout the New Testament, the writers made very clear distinctions between Almighty God the Father and His Son Jesus. And in all the greetings to the churches, we do NOT see any mention of a greeting from the Holy Spirit. In other words, we ONLY see TWO who are distinctly being spoken of as two separate persons. The Holy Spirit IS the Father, as in, the earnest of the self-same being of the Father who is SPIRIT.

And the word of TRUTH, the Holy Bible, ALWAYS clearly and plainly DISTINGUISHES the TWO as being Father AND Son. I do not find anywhere in the Bible where the Father and His Son, Jesus, are referred to as being ONE and the SELF-SAME BEING. However, the Oneness Pentecostal Christians call Jesus a MANIFESTATION or a MODE of God where Yahweh revealed Himself in a different fashion of HIMSELF in human form. And they wrongly and incorrectly teach that Jesus is NOT a LITERAL SEPARATE person from Almighty God the Father who is ONE God is ONE person. In other words, Oneness Pentecostal Christians claim that Jesus IS the Father, as in, Jesus is one and the self-same being as the Father. They do NOT believe the Bible that CLEARLY teaches us that Jesus is NOT the Father.

Please consider the many greetings given to the church clearly and plainly DISTINGUISHING the TWO as being SEPARATE persons or two separate beings.

James 1:1.

“James a servant of God AND of the Lord Jesus.”

1 Corinthians 1:3.

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, AND from the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Here in this verse, God is CLEARLY identified as being the FATHER and the Lord is clearly identified as being Jesus Christ or Jesus the anointed one BY Almighty God the Father.

Galatians 1:1.

“Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ AND God the FATHER who raised him from the dead;)”

Galatians 1:3.  

“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, AND FROM our Lord Jesus Christ,”

Ephesians 1:2.

“Grace be to you and peace from God our FATHER AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Romans 1:7.  

“To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

2 Corinthians 1:2.  

“Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Philippians 1:2.  

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Colossians 1:2.  

“To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

2 Thessalonians 1:2.  

“Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Timothy 1:2.  

“Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father AND Jesus Christ our Lord.”

2 Timothy 1:2.  

“To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father AND Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Titus 1:4.  

“To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.”

Philemon 1:3.  

“Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Thessalonians 1:1.

“Paul and Silvanus and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is IN God the Father AND IN the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Timothy 1:1,2.

“Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Savior, AND Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope. Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father AND Jesus Christ our Lord.”

1 John 1:3.

“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, AND WITH His Son Jesus Christ.”

2 John 1:3.

“Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ, the SON OF the Father, in truth and love.”

And according to Acts 2:36, it was Almighty God the Father who MADE this same Jesus BOTH Lord and Christ.

Acts 2:36.

“Therefore, let all the house of Israel (And let ALL Christians) KNOW ASSUREDLY, that God has MADE that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, BOTH Lord and Christ.”

Now, there are a few verses in the Bible that may SEEM to teach us that there are THREE. But in truth, there can only be found in the light of the WHOLE word of God that there are actually only TWO separate and distinctly DIFFERENT persons, Almighty God the Father, who ALONE IS one and the SELF-SAME being as the eternal Holy Spirit himself, AND his Son Jesus. Clearly, the Bible ITSELF teaches us that Jesus is a SEPARATE PERSON or being from his God and Father, who ALONE is the one true and only ALMIGHTY God that is SPIRIT.

One such verse that may SEEM to some Christians to teach us that there are THREE separate distinct persons in one God is found in 2 Corinthians 13:14.

Please read 2 Corinthians 13:14.

“The GRACE of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the LOVE of God, and the COMMUNION of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”

Yes, there are three things that are being mentioned here in this verse. But UNLIKE all the other verses that say GRACE be to you FROM the Father and his Son, where Almighty God the FATHER and his SON are sending the ONE gift of GRACE this verse is speaking of three things. 

Let me explain what I mean. Here in 2 Corinthians 13:14, we have THREE DIFFERENT THINGS, GRACE, LOVE, and COMMUNION being sent from what may SEEM to be THREE different persons. But in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of God, we see that Almighty God the FATHER so loved the world that He gave His Son so that those who believe might have COMMUNION with His Holy Spirit dwelling only in true born-again Christians. And as you have just seen in this study, the Holy Spirit and Almighty the Father are ONE and the SELF-SAME BEING. 

Always remember that any INTERPRETATION of a verse MUST, without fail, AGREE with the REST of God's word. And if what one concludes or interprets a single verse of Scripture to mean does NOT AGREE with the REST of God's word, then that particular INTERPRETATION of that verse of Scripture is in ERROR, incorrect, and FALSE. So, therefore, ANY interpretation that CONTRADICTS any other verse in the Bible that is correctly interpreted must be rejected as FALSE teaching.

Jesus himself never claimed to be Almighty God nor did Jesus ever make the claim to be equal with his God and Father. But rather, Jesus spoke of himself as being the Son of Man and the Son of God. Jesus always maintained and clearly taught us that Almighty God the Father was GREATER than himself. The word of TRUTH clearly and plainly teaches us that Jesus is THE CHRIST or the ANOINTED ONE of his God and Father the ALMIGHTY which means that Almighty God the FATHER HIMSELF DWELT IN his SON Jesus to empower His SON to do the works that the Father sent his SON to do.

The Apostles of Jesus never referred to Jesus as the Almighty God or equal with Almighty God. The early church was very careful to make a very clear distinction between Almighty God the Father and His SON, Jesus. The writers of the New Testament always clearly IDENTIFIED the FATHER ALONE as being God, as in, the ONE TRUE and ONLY God who is THE ALMIGHTY and MOST-HIGH God over all other Gods including being the God of His SON Jesus. Please read for yourself what the writers of the New Testament wrote leaving us clear evidence that proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that the FATHER ALONE is THE God, THE ALMIGHTY. Please read 1 Corinthians 8:6 which clearly identifies ONLY the FATHER as being the ONE God. And by ONE God the Bible means the ONLY TRUE God who alone is the Father

1 Corinthians 8:6.

“But to us (Speaking of us, as Christians) there is but ONE God, the FATHER, of whom are all things, and we in him: and ONE Lord Jesus Christ, by (Again, the Greek word “dia” here also means FOR. So an honest translation that AGREES with the whole word of God this verse should read FOR) whom are all things, and we by him.”

Now some who teach the doctrine of the Trinity have argued saying, “Well that is just ONE verse and does not prove that Jesus is not Almighty God Himself in the flesh.” They argue that Thomas called Jesus his Lord and his God! 

When I read this argument I thought to myself, 'What Bible are they reading anyway to say that this is the ONLY verse in the Bible that clearly identifies the FATHER as the God.' Yes, Thomas said to Jesus, “My Lord, and my God” but you have to remember that Thomas said this AFTER the cross and that Yahweh the Father MADE the Son of MAN be both Lord and Christ. After the cross, Jesus expounded all the prophecies that spoke of him and one of those prophecies is that Jesus would be called the God of the whole earth in the world to come. Yahweh the Father GAVE Jesus the throne of David to be the King of Israel to rule FOR Yahweh and in the NAME OF his God and Father, Yahweh the ONLY true God. Jesus himself calls the Father the ONE TRUE God in John 17:7 and in John 20:17 Jesus calls the Father HIS God which leaves no doubt that Jesus became a God under his God after the cross. How can an Almighty God have another God over him? Yahweh the Father is the God OF Gods who He Himself APPOINTED to become Gods.

John 20:17.

“Jesus said unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”

The writers of the New Testament in EVERY book of the New Testament with the exception of just the one book, third John, clearly identify the FATHER as being God. And only TWO times in the entire New Testament is the Son ever said to be God. The time Thomas said, “my Lord and my God” in John 20:20 which I explain other meanings or other interpretations in the study “JOHN 20:28 MY LORD AND MY GOD!” And the only other time that Jesus is specifically called by the title of God is in Hebrews chapter 1, verse 8, which the CONTEXT teaches us of Jesus as being a God UNDER HIS God and Father that again the whole word of God clearly identifies as being THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God who is above all including being THE God over his SON Jesus as well. Now both Trinitarian and Oneness Christians go immediately to John 1:1 when they hear Biblical Unitarian Christians say that Jesus is “A” God. But have you ever TRULY considered John 1:1 as a PROPHECY of the spoken word of God being FULFILLED? What I mean by this is that when we look at the END that was declared at the beginning we see that the Son of MAN, Jesus, was highly exalted and given a NAME that is above every name EXCEPT for the name Yahweh. We see the Father giving the now glorified Son of MAN a throne to rule FOR Yahweh in the world to come as the God of the whole “earth” and not the God of the whole universe. We see Jesus made a little lower than the angels in his first state as a human being. And then after the cross, we see Jesus OBTAINING a NAME that is more excellent than the angels. We see that when God brings Jesus back into the world at the second coming of Jesus that the angels will worship him. And then after the 1000 year reign of Jesus has ended, Jesus will commit the ruling of the kingdom back to his God and Father. So to ME, the Bible clearly teaches us that Jesus BECAME “A” God under and subject TO his God and Father who alone is the ONLY TRUE God who has always existed as the SOURCE of all other Gods that He Himself SET or crowned to be Gods. Please read the study “ARE THERE TWO GODS?” 

But for now, let us take a look at every book of the New Testament to see what the Apostles and the disciples of Jesus who were EYEWITNESSES of Jesus had to say about Jesus being the SON OF Almighty God the Father and the Father as being THE God OVER his Son, Jesus.

Acts 2:33.

“Therefore being by the right hand of  God EXALTED, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he has shed forth this, which you now see and hear.”

God is identified as being the Father by which Jesus was EXALTED to sit at his God and Father's right hand and from which Jesus RECEIVED the authority to shed forth the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 1:7.

“To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our FATHER, AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

Romans 15:6

“That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, EVEN the FATHER OF our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

1 Corinthians 1:3.

“Grace be unto you, and peace, FROM God our FATHER, AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

1 Corinthians 15:24.

“Then comes the end, when he (Jesus the SON OF Almighty God the FATHER) shall have delivered up the kingdom TO God, EVEN the Father; when He (The Father) shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.”

Again, God is CLEARLY and PLAINLY identified as being the FATHER ALONE and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST, who is UNDER and SUBJECT to his God and Father the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God Yahweh even in the world to come. And in verse 28, you can read on your own that Jesus commits the ruling of the kingdom back into the hands of his God and Father. Clearly, Jesus was MADE both Lord and Christ become “A” God to rule FOR Yahweh in the NAME OF Yahweh in the world to come.

2 Corinthians 1:2.

“Grace be to you and peace FROM God our FATHER, AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

2 Corinthians 1:3.

“Blessed be God, EVEN the Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST. Almighty God the FATHER is being identified as the Father OF our Lord Jesus the CHRIST along with being identified as the Father of mercies and also as the God of all comfort.

2 Corinthians 11:31.

“The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knows that I lie not.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST. Also, the Father is being identified as the God OF Jesus just like we read in Hebrews 1:8,9.

Galatians 1:1.

“Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, AND God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)”

Some Trinitarian Christians will argue that Jesus raised himself from the dead by using the one verse of Scripture in John 2:19 but Jesus was prophesying of raising up his “body”, the church, the dead in Jesus Christ from the dead.

 Galatians 1:3.

“Grace be to you and peace FROM God the Father, AND FROM our Lord Jesus Christ,”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

Galatians 1:4.

“Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:”

The Son of MAN, Jesus, obeyed the WILL of his God and Father over his own will to die on the cross for our sins. Again, Almighty God is identified as being the Father.

Ephesians 1:2.

“Grace be to you, and peace, FROM God our Father, AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

Ephesians 1:3.

“Blessed be the God AND Father  OF our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places IN Christ:”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST. In this verse, we ALSO see the writer of Ephesians identifying the Father of Jesus as being the GOD OF Jesus. So then, the ALMIGHTY is BOTH the God OF Jesus AND Father OF Jesus.

Ephesians 1:17.

“That THE God OF our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:”

The subject of this verse is THE God OF Jesus speaking of Almighty God the FATHER as being the Father of glory who gives us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of his Son, Jesus.

Ephesians 4:6.

“ONE God and FATHER of ALL, who is ABOVE ALL, and through all, and in you all.”

In this verse, the writer of the book of Ephesians clearly and plainly identifies the ALMIGHTY the God who is ABOVE ALL as being the ONE God called the FATHER. So then, we see here once again that there is but ONE God and but ONE FATHER OF Jesus. Therefore, when we see that the Holy Spirit IS the FATHER, the ONE God and ONE FATHER OF Jesus who was CONCEIVED or FATHERED BY the Holy Spirit agrees with the rest of God's word clearly teaching us that there is but ONE FATHER OF Jesus. The Bible clearly teaches us that Jesus is UNDER and SUBJECT to his God and Father, who the writers of the New Testament clearly identify as being the ONE God. The apostles and disciples of Jesus always called Jesus Lord, Christ, SON OF God, and the Son of MAN, but NEVER ALMIGHTY God himself. They ALWAYS made it explicitly clear that they are TWO separate distinct persons who are NOT one and the self-same being. Now some may argue that Jesus said that he and the Father are ONE and then INTERPRET that verse to mean that they are one and the self-same being, but this is NOT what that verse is truly saying in the light of the WHOLE word of God. Please read the study “I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE!” But for now, let us continue the study at hand. Again, every book in the New Testament clearly identifies the one true and only Almighty God as being the FATHER except for 3 John. But seeing that both 1 John and 2 John identify God as being the Father then every writer of the New Testament understood and taught that ONLY the Father is the one true God.

Ephesians 5:20.

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

Ephesians 6:23.

“Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

Philippians 1:2.

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Philippians 2:11.

“And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, TO the glory OF God the Father.”

In this verse, the writer teaches us that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, and NOT that Jesus is THE ALMIGHTY YAHWEH HIMSELF. So once again THE ALMIGHTY God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST. Also, notice that it is always TO the GLORY of the FATHER.

Philippians 4:20.

“Now unto God and our Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

In this verse, we again see the FATHER as being God.

Colossians 1:2.

“To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

Colossians 1:3.

“We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,”

Again, this verse could be saying that God is the God OF Jesus and the FATHER OF Jesus, which does agree with the rest of God's word.

1 Thessalonians 1:1.

“Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father AND in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

1 Thessalonians 1:3.

“Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

1 Thessalonians 3:11.

“Now God HIMSELF and our Father, AND our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.”

Here in this verse, we see the writer clearly identifying the ONE true God HIMSELF as being the FATHER and again identifying Jesus as being both LORD and CHRIST. And, according to Acts 2:36, it was God HIMSELF who MADE Jesus become both Lord and Christ.

1 Thessalonians 3:13.

“To the end, he may establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, EVEN our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

2 Thessalonians 1:1.

“Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ:”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

2 Thessalonians 1:2.

“Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

2 Thessalonians 2:16.

“Now our Lord Jesus Christ HIMSELF, AND God, EVEN our Father, which has loved us, and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,”

In this verse, the writer seems to go out of his way to clearly identify Jesus HIMSELF as being Lord and Christ and God as being EVEN the FATHER, as in, the Father ALONE being the Almighty God.

1 Timothy 1:2.

“Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father AND Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Once again our LORD is identified as being Jesus Christ and our God as being the FATHER.

2 Timothy 1:2.

“To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

Titus 1:4.

“To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

Philemon 1:3.

“Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father AND the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

James 1:27.

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

James 3:9.

“Therewith bless we God, EVEN the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.”

In this verse, like in 1 Corinthians 8:6, the writer EMPHASIZES God being SOLELY identified as being the FATHER ALONE that he says EVEN the FATHER.

1 Peter 1:2.

“Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.”

1 Peter 1:3.

“Blessed be the God AND Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”

Here again, the Almighty is being identified as the God OF Jesus as well as the Father of Jesus. And Jesus is identified as Lord and Christ.

2 Peter 1:17.

“For he (Jesus the SON OF Almighty God the FATHER) received from God the Father honor and glory when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved SON, in whom I am well pleased.”

Jesus RECEIVED Lordship FROM Almighty God the Father. Everything Jesus is or has was GIVEN to him BY Yahweh, the FATHER, who is the God OF Jesus. The Father MADE the Son of MAN, Jesus, to be our Lord and our God AFTER the cross. Some Christians argue that Jesus is called Lord before the cross but you have to remember that the New Testament was written AFTER the fact as a record and not as a moment by moment LIVE recording. That is why it SEEMS that Jesus was given eternal life before the cross. But that would make no sense because if Jesus had eternal life before the cross then eternal life does not mean eternal LIFE. 

2 John 1:3.

“Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, FROM God the Father, AND FROM the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son OF the Father, in truth and love.”

Again, God is identified as the FATHER and Jesus as being LORD and CHRIST.

2 John 1:9.

“Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has BOTH the Father AND the Son.”

In this verse, we clearly see that we must, without fail, believe in BOTH Almighty God the Father AND in his SON Jesus. Now to ME, if so be that the word of God truly taught the doctrine of the Trinity, then this verse would have been the ideal place to ADD the Holy Spirit and clearly teach us that we must believe in all THREE rather than believing in ONLY the Father AND the Son. To understand the true meaning of the doctrine of Christ please read the study “JESUS THE CHRIST!”

Jude 1:1.

“Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father AND preserved IN Jesus Christ, and called:”

Again, the FATHER alone is identified as being God.

Revelation 1:6.

“And has made us kings and priests UNTO God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

In the four gospels, Jesus HIMSELF identifies the one TRUE God as being the FATHER. Jesus identifies God as being the CREATOR. Jesus identifies the Father as being HIS God and Father. Please read John 17:3 again, which is where Jesus is praying TO his God and Father up in heaven and clearly identifies the Father as being the ONE TRUE and ONLY Almighty God.

John 17:3.

“And THIS IS life eternal, THAT they might know YOU the ONLY TRUE God, AND Jesus Christ, whom YOU have SENT.” 

In other words, Jesus is praying to his God and FATHER saying, THIS is eternal life or the only way to obtain eternal life in the world to come so that all who believe in the SON of God will know YOU FATHER as the ONE and ONLY TRUE God, AND that I, Jesus, am your SON whom YOU have ANOINTED and whom you have SENT out into the world to do your will. We must believe in BOTH the Father AND the Son in order to receive eternal life. And by claiming that Jesus is Yahweh HIMSELF is making Jesus be one and the self-same being as the Father. Jesus is the IMAGE OF the Father, Jesus preached in the NAME OF the Father. Jesus is the REPRESENTATIVE OF the Father who alone is the ONLY TRUE God. Yes, Jesus is “A” God under and subject TO his God who MADE him become the Lord of the Sabbath.

In 1 John 4:9-15 we can see in verse 9 that God sent his only begotten SON and in verse 14 we can see that the FATHER sent his SON which again clearly shows us that God is the FATHER ALONE.

1 John 4:9-15.

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God SENT His only begotten SON into the world, that we might live through him.

10. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12. No man has seen God at any time. (And clearly, many men have indeed seen Jesus) If we love one another, God dwells IN us, and his love is perfected in us.

13. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

14. And we have seen and do testify that the Father SENT the Son to be the Savior of the world.

15. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the SON OF God, God dwells IN him, and he in God.”

Please notice that nowhere in the word of God are we ever clearly and plainly taught that we must believe that Jesus IS the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God YAHWEH HIMSELF. But we are clearly and plainly taught that we are to believe and CONFESS that Jesus is the SON OF Almighty God the Father who SENT His SON out into the world to be the atonement for our sins. Again, the word SENT literally means COMMISSIONED which means that Almighty God GAVE His Son Jesus power and authority to accomplish the task that his God and Father sent him OUT into the world to accomplish.

Also, notice that nowhere in the entire word of God are we ever taught in clear plain simplicity that we must believe that God is a TRINITY, a triune being, or THREE persons in ONE God.

And nowhere in the Bible are we taught that we must believe that Jesus IS the FATHER.

But again, the word of TRUTH does indeed clearly and plainly teach us that we MUST believe that Jesus is the SON OF Almighty God the Father. We must believe that Jesus is the CHRIST, the ANOINTED one of Almighty God the Father. We must believe that Jesus suffered and died for our sin and that God our Father raised his Son from the dead.

So then, the ONLY book in the ENTIRE New Testament that does not clearly and plainly identify the one true and only Almighty God as being the FATHER is 3 John, which does not even mention either God or his Son Jesus.

So why then do some Christians DOGMATICALLY demand and insist on taking some isolated Scriptures out of their context and try and force them to say that Jesus IS God, as in, Jesus being FULLY ALMIGHTY God HIMSELF and fully man at the SAME time? Please read “THE DEITY OF JESUS AND THE TRINITY” and “JESUS THE SON OF MAN” for a deeper understanding is this controversial subject in God's word. Also please read “JESUS THE CHRIST”, and “JESUS OUR FELLOW SERVANT”. In these studies, I will address the verses of Scripture that are used by those that teach that Jesus is God in the flesh. My desire for you is that you be not DECEIVED and that you come to the knowledge of the TRUTH so that you will not be overcome by the enemy and do the works that Jesus did. I do indeed teach that Almighty God HIMSELF LITERALLY became FLESH and dwelt among man. However, I do NOT teach this sound Biblical teaching in the WAY that the mainstream churches TWIST the truth of Jesus being GOD INCARNATE. Please read the study "WHAT DOES GOD INCARNATE MEAN?" to what the Bible itself ACTUALLY teaches on this subject.

One of the reasons that I step out and teach this highly controversial subject is that I see people, who will NOT even give God a chance BECAUSE of this man-made DOCTRINE of the Trinity. I have actually heard someone say to me personally that they would believe in God IF it was NOT for this three in one and one in three Trinity DOCTRINE that they could NOT understand. Now, at that time, I was not yet a true born-again Christian but I was raised in the Roman Catholic Church which teaches that the doctrine of the Trinity is a “MYSTERY”. But yet the Bible teaches us in SIMPLICITY. We are given to KNOW the things of God by His Spirit who leads and guides us into all truth. So I have to wonder if the leaders of the church who formed the doctrine of the Trinity even had the Spirit of God dwelling in them. For you see, it took over three hundred years to finally force their man-made doctrine upon the church.

The truth of the matter is that even many Christians who sincerely believe and teach the man-made DOCTRINE of the Trinity do not truly understand it either. And they have great difficulty in trying to explain it to others. I have heard MANY Christians say that it is a MYSTERY and we are NOT meant to UNDERSTAND how God can be three separate persons in one God and we just have to accept this teaching by faith.

Now IF a doctor would say to you that he did NOT UNDERSTAND the human body and that you just have to BELIEVE and TRUST him to operate on you, then would you just BLINDLY trust your LIFE in his hands? I think not! You would be more likely to seek out another doctor who did UNDERSTAND the human body.

How much more important is your reward of ETERNAL LIFE to be trusted in the hands of those who tell you that they themselves do NOT UNDERSTAND the doctrine of the trinity and dogmatically demand that YOU must believe it or die in your sins?

For ME personally, if I MYSELF do not see it in the WORD of God for MYSELF, then I do NOT blindly accept ANY teaching from any church denomination. So another reason why I myself do NOT believe in the doctrine of the trinity OR the oneness doctrine sometimes called Modalism is that they are NOT clearly and plainly taught in the WORD of TRUTH, the Holy Bible in SIMPLICITY. And both of these man-made THEORIES contradict many other parts of God's word.

So then, WHY DOGMATICALLY teach that Jesus IS ALMIGHTY God Himself in the flesh when there are NO verses of Scripture in the Bible that COMMANDS us to BELIEVE that Jesus is FULLY Almighty God and FULLY man at the SAME time. WHY go BEYOND the clear, plain, and simple word of God and dogmatically demand Christians to believe doctrines that are NOT clearly STATED in the Bible. Why not just say and teach ONLY what is clearly taught to us in the Bible itself in SIMPLICITY. God is NOT the author of CONFUSION so any doctrine that is CONFUSING to you, beware, seeing that the DEVIL is the author of CONFUSION.

However, on the other hand, there are verses that CLEARLY and PLAINLY teach us that we must believe that Jesus is the SON OF God is SIMPLICITY with absolutely NO INTERPRETATION needed to understand these clear statements of FACT found in the Bible. 

But my main point of focus in this study is to show that the WHOLE word of Almighty God clearly teaches us that the Holy Spirit is a PERSON, but NOT the THIRD person of the “TRINITY”, but rather that the Holy Spirit IS Almighty God the FATHER Himself because the vast majority of the New Testament teaches us of ONLY TWO, the Father and the SON, as opposed to teaching us that we must believe in THREE in order to receive ETERNAL LIFE in the world to come.

Please consider 2 John 1:8-10.

“Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. (Speaking of eternal life in the world to come)

9. Whosoever transgresses, and abides NOT in the DOCTRINE OF CHRIST, (Or in the teaching of the ANOINTING or the ANOINTED ONE Jesus) has NOT God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has BOTH the Father AND the Son

10. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:”

Again, we see just the TWO in whom we must believe, the Father AND the Son. I mean if the Bible truly taught the God is a Trinity God and that we MUST, without fail, believe in THREE, then this would have been the PERFECT place to make this man-made teaching of the Trinity crystal clear to us. But the word of TRUTH here clearly teaches us that we must believe in ONLY TWO who are the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is NOT mentioned because the Apostles of Jesus clearly understood that Almighty God is the ETERNAL HOLY SPIRIT who DWELT IN his SON Jesus.

Also, please consider Matthew 12:25-32 where again we see ONLY TWO, but this time we see Jesus and the SPIRIT of God that DWELLS IN him to empower Jesus to cast out devils and heal the sick. Please notice as you read Matthew 12:25-32 that we do NOT see the Father being mentioned at all. And that is because the Holy Spirit IS the Father who is dwelling IN Jesus as an EARNEST of God's Spirit that Jesus likens to the “finger” of God.

Matthew 12:25-32.

“And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

26. And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

27. And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore, they shall be your judges.

28. But if I cast out devils BY the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come unto you. (Now compare Scripture with Scripture. Let the Holy Spirit bring to your remembrance of when Jesus said, I can do nothing of myself and went on to say that it was the Father DWELLING IN him who did the works of healing and casting out devils and raising the dead. So then, we know that ONLY ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT dwelt in Jesus. We know that Almighty God the Father IS SPIRIT. We know that the Holy SPIRIT IS SPIRIT. We know that there is just ONE SPIRIT. We know that the Holy Spirit is ETERNAL. We know that there is ONE who has always been immortal or eternal who is INVISIBLE and cannot be seen by mortal eyes. And we know that Jesus was commissioned to show us the FATHER. Therefore, to me, the only logical conclusion to draw that does NOT contradict any other part of God's word is that the FATHER IS the HOLY SPIRIT and the HOLY SPIRIT IS the FATHER, the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God YAHWEH Himself)

29. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first binds the strong man? And then he will spoil his house.

30. He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad.

31. Wherefore, I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

32. And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of MAN, it shall be forgiven him: BUT whosoever speaks against the Holy Ghost, it shall NOT be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”

Again, the reason why Almighty God the Father is NOT mentioned here in this passage of Scripture is that the Holy Ghost or the Holy SPIRIT IS the FATHER. The Bible clearly teaches us that there is just ONE SPIRIT and that Almighty God the Father is a SPIRIT. Therefore, this ONE ETERNAL HOLY SPIRIT IS Almighty God the FATHER himself. Jesus likened the Holy Spirit dwelling in him to be the “finger” of God. To me, this speaks of Jesus having a PORTION of the Eternal Spirit dwelling in him during the days of his ministry. And it was AFTER the cross that Yahweh gave Jesus the Spirit WITHOUT MEASURE so that the FULLNESS of the Godhead dwelt in Jesus BODILY. Jesus was the first human being to become a partaker of the DIVINE NATURE of IMMORTALITY which is also promised to us as well. Please read the study “WHAT DOES FIRSTBORN OF EVERY CREATURE MEAN?”

Sometimes we hear pastors preach sermons over and over that we just blindly accept them as being the very WORD of Almighty God Himself. For example, I heard a sermon where the preacher said and I quote, “You can blaspheme the FATHER, and you can blaspheme the SON, but if you blaspheme the HOLY SPIRIT, then you are in danger of hell fire.” You guessed it, he was teaching the doctrine of the Trinity, and the pastor added or he INSERTED the blaspheming of the Father in order to make THREE when the word of God only speaks of TWO. The writers of the New Testament knew and understood that the Father IS the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit IS the Father, which completely exposes the ERROR of INTERPRETATION of the Scriptures of those Christians who dogmatically demand and insist that God is THREE separate persons in one God.

Please do NOT misunderstand what I am saying! I am NOT saying that Almighty God is TWO separate persons in ONE God, but rather, I am saying is that the ONE true and ONLY Almighty God is the FATHER, who IS the ETERNAL Holy Spirit? I am saying that Jesus BECAME “a” God as a REWARD because of his obedience unto death on the cross. And for that very REASON, his God and Father HIGHLY EXALTED his SON Jesus to rule and reign at his Father's side. That is what the WHOLE word of God teaches in a nutshell so to speak. Please read the study “OUR GOD IS ONE!”, but for now, let us continue this study on why the Holy Spirit is NOT a so-called THIRD person of a so-called Godhead Trinity God.

Again, the reason why Almighty God the Father is NOT mentioned here in this passage of Scripture in Matthew 12:25-32 is that the Holy Ghost or the Holy SPIRIT IS the FATHER. The Bible clearly teaches us that there is just ONE SPIRIT and that Almighty God the Father is a SPIRIT. Therefore, this ONE ETERNAL HOLY SPIRIT IS Almighty God the FATHER himself. 

Please read Ephesians 4:3-6.

“Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4. There is one body, and ONE Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling;

5. One Lord, (Speaking of Jesus) one faith, one baptism,

6. One God and Father of all, who is above all, (Including being above His Son, Jesus) and through all, and IN you all.”

Now it may SEEM as if there are THREE, but in truth, in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of God, we can clearly see that there is ONLY the one Lord Jesus Christ and the ONE TRUE and only ALMIGHTY God the FATHER who DWELLS IN us, being the ONE eternal Holy Spirit Himself. Verse six here clearly teaches us that the ONE God and FATHER is IN US as believers. Therefore, the ONE SPIRIT IS the ONE God who alone is the Father because nowhere in the Bible are we taught that BOTH Almighty God the Father AND His Holy Spirit dwells IN us. There is only ONE SPIRIT that dwells in us and that ONE Spirit is the ONE and only Almighty God the FATHER. The Bible says that God IS SPIRIT. So again, the ONE SPIRIT is God the FATHER HIMSELF.

Also, consider 1 Corinthians 12:1-14.

“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have YOU ignorant

2. You know that YOU WERE Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as you were led. (Please notice that Paul is specifically addressing the Gentile Christians who once believed in many gods including “TRINITY” gods. Paul is saying to the former pagan Gentiles who are now Christians that to us as Christians there is ONE God in ONE person who alone is the Father)

3. Wherefore I give YOU to understand, (Speaking of the Gentile Christians. For you see, the Jewish Christians already understand that the ONE God is ONE person. But the Gentile Christians needed to be taught that the one God is one Spirit and) that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord but by the Holy Ghost.

4. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the SAME Spirit.

5. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the SAME God which works all in all.

7. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the SAME Spirit.

9. To another faith by the SAME Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10. To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another, diverse kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11. But all these WORKS that ONE and the SELF-SAME Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. (Now, when we compare this verse with verse 6 where the SAME God which WORKS ALL in all, then we can see that the SAME God and the SAME Spirit are ONE and the SELF-SAME BEING who IS the FATHER. But Jesus is NOT one and the self-same being as the Father. Jesus was made in the IMAGE OF his Father. Jesus is the firstborn of every CREATURE speaking of God’s NEW creation of righteous people who will inherit the new earth. Jesus is the firstfruits UNTO God)

12. For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. (Speaking of the ANOINTING, or the INDWELLING of Almighty God the Father IN his SON Jesus who is called the CHRIST, the ANOINTED ONE and NOT speaking of Jesus the SON OF God himself actually being that one and selfsame eternal SPIRIT himself)

13. For by ONE Spirit are we all baptized into one body, (Teaching us that we are baptized or submersed into ONE and the SELFSAME ANOINTING as our Lord Jesus THE CHRIST of the ANOINTED ONE, so then) whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into ONE Spirit. (And again, to all you Gentile Christians, that ONE SPIRIT is the ONE Almighty God the FATHER Himself who is the Father of ALL)

14. For the body is not one member, but many.”

This means that we all have different JOBS or works that the ONE SPIRIT leads and guides us to do. But the one body of Jesus Christ is also comparing the one body of the one Spirit which is the one God who alone is the Father. Keep in mind that Paul is specifically addressing the Gentile Christians who were once pagan Gentiles that worshipped many gods where each of their pagan gods had a different job. Paul is teaching the Gentile Christians that there is just ONE God in ONE person who gives each believer an EARNEST of His own self-same Spirit.

Then we read in John 4:23-26 where Almighty God the Father is a SPIRIT, and that Jesus is the CHRIST or the ANOINTED ONE who God appointed and empowered to be the MESSIAH.

John 4:23-26.

“But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.

24. God is a SPIRIT: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

25. The woman said unto him, I know that Messiah comes, which is called CHRIST: when he has come, he will tell us all things.

26. Jesus said unto her, I that speak unto you am he.”

In other words, Jesus is saying that he is the CHRIST or the ANOINTED ONE as he teaches us that the FATHER is a SPIRIT who seeks worshippers to worship the Father in Spirit and in truth. To say this another way, Jesus is saying of himself that he is the CHRIST, the ANOINTED ONE IN whom the ONE SPIRIT of the ONE TRUE God is DWELLING IN to empower him to do the mighty works of healing that his God and Father SENT him out into the world to do to SHOW us the true nature and the true character of the FATHER who alone is the true God that is a Spirit.

So then, for ME, I see that the word of TRUTH teaches us that Almighty God the Father is a SPIRIT and that the Father DWELT IN his SON Jesus. Then I see that this ETERNAL SPIRIT who DWELT IN Jesus empowered Jesus to OVERCOME sin in order to present himself to his God and Father as a sinless spotless lamb that was slain for our sins and not only for our sins, but also for the sins of the whole world that whosoever believes that Jesus is the SON OF Almighty God then Almighty God the Father would DWELL IN them as well to empower them to OVERCOME sin. Then I see that ONLY ONE who is SOVEREIGN or over and above all as being the one true and ONLY ALMIGHTY God the FATHER. And then I see that this ALMIGHTY God the FATHER is INVISIBLE so that no mortal man can ever see the FATHER.  And then I see that this invisible ALMIGHTY God the FATHER as being the ONLY one who has always been IMMORTAL.

Therefore, for ME, I myself must conclude based on ALL the clear, plain, and simple EVIDENCE found in the WHOLE word of God that the eternal Holy Spirit of Almighty God the Father IS Almighty God the Father HIMSELF, which is WHY we are only taught to believe in TWO rather than in THREE. We must HONOR the SON even as we HONOR the Father where again we see absolutely no mention of a THIRD being called God the Holy Spirit by those who teach THREE persons in one God, that we must honor. And the plain simple answer as to WHY is clearly and plainly taught to honor BOTH the Father and the SON is BECAUSE the early church knew and understood that Almighty God the Father IS the eternal Holy Spirit. 

And since I conclude that the Holy Spirit IS the FATHER and that Almighty God the Father who is a SPIRIT is ONE and the SELF-SAME BEING as his eternal Holy Spirit, then I must also conclude that the Holy Spirit is indeed a PERSON. However the Holy Spirit is NOT the THIRD person of the so-called Trinity, but rather the eternal Holy Spirit is THE SUPREME being, the MOST-HIGH God and FATHER of all. ONE SPIRIT, ONE God who IS SPIRIT, ONE and the SELF-SAME divine supreme being and creator of ALL by and through his SPOKE WORD FOR the express purpose and sake of his SON whom he had in his thoughts and plans BEFORE the foundation of the world.

Now to those who falsely teach that the Holy Spirit is just a mere FORCE or POWER that is used by God please consider carefully and prayerfully Zechariah 4:6. 

Zechariah 4:6.

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD (YHWH or Yahweh, the ONE and ONLY Almighty God) unto Zerubbabel, (Zerubbabel is a type or a figure of the Messiah) saying, NOT by MIGHT, NOR by POWER, BUT BY my SPIRIT, says the LORD of hosts.”

So here in this verse, we can clearly see that the Holy Spirit HIMSELF is NOT just some POWER used by God, by rather, the one Spirit, even a mere EARNEST OF the one Spirit, is the SOURCE OF power and might. And ONLY the one true Almighty God the FATHER is the source of all things who ANOINTED the Son of MAN, Jesus with the Holy Spirit AND power that come FROM the earnest of the Holy Spirit because God was WITH Jesus by dwelling IN him. God is SPIRIT and the ONLY source of ALL things seen and unseen.

Think of it this way, Almighty God the Father is like a battery sitting on the throne, the SOURCE of DC POWER. But in order to SEND FORTH His POWER Almighty God must use a conductor to carry His POWER to wherever it is needed. Now Almighty God is SPIRIT and Spirit is everywhere. In fact, everything there is that exists has been made from SPIRIT as being the SOURCE of everything. So while the power may be controlled by the Father who is Spirit that is present everywhere does not prove that the Father and the Holy Spirit are TWO SEPARATE persons of the ONE divine being, Almighty God. I do agree that the Father or the mind of the SPIRIT seems to be in a central location called the throne of God, even though Spirit itself is present everywhere. This is why the Lord God Almighty is said to sit upon the THRONE in Heaven. The Father is the HEAD of ALL including being the head of His OWN SELF-SAME OMNIPRESENT SPIRIT being. The FATHER Himself alone is the God HEAD including being the MIND of his OWN SELF-SAME being called SPIRIT that is present everywhere and is essentially ALL in ALL of everything that is seen and unseen.

Even we as human beings tell our own bodies what to do. Our minds say to OUR “SELF” get up and get to work when our “SELF” does not want to get up and go to work. Now, Almighty God the Father, the eternal Holy Spirit, may not have an actual literal body that one can see, even though the word of God does describe Almighty God as having hands, a right arm, feet, eyes, breath, a face, back parts, and feet. I say this because that Holy Spirit is often referred to as the HAND of the Lord, but not in the sense of the invisible Almighty God the Father as having a literal BODY that can be SEEN, at least with MORTAL eyes. When the Son of man, Jesus ascended into heaven to receive his new glorified immortal body, Jesus saw God. And certainly, God could open human eyes to see His shape if He so chooses. But that would be a VISION OF God and not literally seeing God face to face as Jesus did. 

God is INVISIBLE and He cannot be seen with human mortal eyes. This is one of the reasons WHY God created His SON Jesus so that the FATHER and creator of ALL could REVEAL Himself to mankind THROUGH a PHYSICAL HUMAN BODY. God was WITH the Apostles of Jesus by INDWELLING IN the HUMAN body of His only BEGOTTEN SON Jesus. So in a sense, Jesus is LIKE the BODY or TEMPLE of Almighty God in the same manner that we as Christians are the BODY of Jesus. In other words, Jesus was the REPRESENTATIVE BODY of Almighty God the FATHER in the same way that we are AMBASSADORS of Jesus Christ. NOT that the FATHER was HIMSELF Jesus or that Jesus was himself the FATHER, but rather, that the Father DWELT IN the body of Jesus the same way that WE have become the TEMPLE of Almighty God the FATHER, which does NOT make us to BE Almighty God our self.  Now before Jesus came into existence by the spoken word of God the only way God had to speak to his people was through His prophets that His self-same Holy Spirit came UPON to show the working HAND of the ALMIGHTY among men.

Please read 2 Kings 3:14-16.

“And Elisha said, As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward you, nor see you.

15. But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the HAND of the LORD came UPON him.

16. And he said, (Or Elisha began to prophesy by the Spirit of the Lord God Almighty. Also, please notice that MUSIC helps us get into the presence of Almighty God or to STIR UP that gift of the Holy Spirit within us to come upon us to magnify God in our heavenly language of other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives us the utterance) Thus says the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches.”

Ezra 7:28 teaches us that the HAND of the Lord will STRENGTHEN us.

Ezra 7:28.

“And has extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counselors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was STRENGTHENED AS the HAND of the LORD my God was UPON me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.”

The HAND of the Lord can come upon unbelievers as well and sometimes it was NOT necessarily a good thing.

Please read Acts 13:6-11.

“And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:

7. Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

8. But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation ) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. (When the anointing of the Lord is present, unbelievers, including unbelieving Christians, be warned to take heed and NOT mock the moving of the Holy Spirit lest you hinder the work of Almighty God and suffer His judgment)

9. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,

10. And said, (Please keep in mind that Paul is saying the following under the leading of the Holy Spirit) O full of all subtlety and all mischief, you child of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

11. And now, behold, the HAND of the Lord is upon YOU, and YOU shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.”

One testimony that seems to always stick in my mind or is brought to my remembrance at times is about a prophet of God who had the gift of healing operating in his life and an elderly lady bent over using a cane for support came forward for healing. The Holy Spirit spoke to the prophet and told him to KICK the cane out from under her and she will be healed. The prophet spoke out what he heard the Holy Spirit tell him to do and he promptly kicked the cane out from the elderly lady's hand and she was immediately healed. Then an unbeliever from near the back of the church spoke out mocking the prophet and said, “I do not believe that the woman was healed”, implying that she was faking her condition and that the healing was a hoax. The prophet heard the Holy Spirit say, throw the cane down and say, the thing that was on her be upon you. So the prophet obeyed and threw the cane down saying what the Holy Spirit had said and the cane bounced down the aisle to the back of the church and landed in the hand of the man who mocked the healing of the Holy Spirit and immediately he became bent over and could not stand up straight. The crippling sickness that was upon the elderly lady was now upon the man who mocked the moving of the Holy Spirit.

You may not understand some of the things that take place in some churches where the gifts of the Holy Spirit are moving and in use, and you may doubt or question the realness of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but I caution you not to mock the moving of the Holy Spirit. I am sure people around Jesus WONDERED why Jesus SPIT on the ground and made a small wad of MUD made of spittle and clay and then smeared it in or on the eyes of a blind man and told him to go wash in the pool of Siloam, but when the man was healed they had to decide was this the devil or God who healed this man.

There were times when Jesus was falsely accused of having a devil and healing people by the power of Satan. And Jesus told them that if so be that Satan cast out Satan, then his kingdom is divided and shall not stand. So then if people are being healed I caution you to tread lightly and be slow in your judgment saying that it is of Satan the Devil. Likewise, if Christians who bear good fruit and call Jesus their Lord and savior speak in other tongues I caution you NOT to judge these dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ as being OF the DEVIL. Please read the studies related to the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues, “HAS SPEAKING IN OTHER TONGUES CEASED?”

We got a little off track there but I felt it was necessary because there are some Christians who doubt that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still in operation in the church today.

Anyway, Almighty God the Father may not have an actual body like we can comprehend like our own body, but his Holy Spirit is spoken of like our hand that does the work. Now we do NOT call our hand a different separate being than our self. No! Our hand is a part of our own self-same being, and we think with our mind which tells our hands what to do. The difference is our physical being is confined to a specific space, but the being of Almighty God, who is a SPIRIT is everywhere and is, in essence, everything seeing that everything came out from SPIRIT by the design, direction and the speaking forth the thoughts and plans of Almighty God the FATHER as being the MIND of the SPIRIT.

This is why Almighty God the Father is called the God HEAD because the Father is the HEAD of ALL or the MIND of the SPIRIT who controls the “BODY” of the SPIRIT or the HAND of the Lord, which is part of the self-same being. Now we do NOT call our MIND a DIFFERENT SEPARATE being either. So Almighty God the Father and His eternal Spirit are ONE and the SELF SAME BEING who spoke into existence a SON that was a HUMAN BEING, but a UNIQUE human being, who did NOT have an EARTHLY father like all other human beings except for the FIRST Adam. 

In other words, Jesus is INDEED a DIFFERENT SEPARATE BEING from his God and Father the one true and only ALMIGHTY God. To say this another way Jesus will ALWAYS BE JESUS a SEPARATE PERSON from his God and Father the eternal Holy Spirit whom no man can see. Jesus will not cease to exist by changing back into the INVISIBLE eternal Holy Spirit from which he came OUT FROM when the spoken word out of the mouth of Almighty God BECAME, FORMED, MADE, CREATED, or BROUGHT FORTH into existence the HUMAN Jesus on a specific DAY or point in time, who was then ANOINTED WITH the eternal Spirit of his God and Father who brought him into existence. Everything that Jesus is or has was GIVEN TO him by HIS God and Father the ALMIGHTY eternal Spirit.

Now what some Christians fail to understand is that while Jesus came OUT FROM Almighty God the Father BY or through the SPOKEN WORD that brought forth the human Jesus is that the divine living SPOKEN WORD OF Almighty God the Father that quickens and gives LIFE did NOT retain or keep any of the DIVINE nature that it once was, but rather the divine nature of the prophesied spoken WORD was MADE or became a HUMAN NATURE. Please read the study  “Philippians 2:6 – A TRINITARIAN DILEMMA!” for a deeper understanding that Jesus was a human being who was filled with the Holy Spirit of Almighty God to be empowered to do the works that he did.

Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, that there are ONLY TWO separate distinctly different persons or beings and that the whole word of God does NOT teach us that there THREE separate persons or beings. I say BEINGS because some Christians get deeply offended when the one true and only Almighty God the Father is called a PERSON relating the supreme DIVINE being to a human being. My point is this. The word of truth only speaks of TWO beings and NOT three beings. Even John 1:1 that is used to argue that Jesus IS GOD because the WORD was God only speaks of TWO, Almighty God Himself, and the WORD.  Let us read John 1:1-4 where again we ONLY see TWO that are being spoken of that were in the beginning, God and the Word.

John 1:1-4.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was WITH God, and the Word was God.

2. The same was in the beginning with God.

3. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”

Now, this passage of Scripture can be INTERPRETED in several ways, but please keep in mind that whatever the interpretation that is concluded it must AGREE with the REST of God's word.

Some Christians INTERPRET verses 3 and 4 as being Jesus HIMSELF who created ALL THINGS. But is this the truth of the whole word of Almighty God? Please read the study “Ephesians 3:9-11 – DID JESUS CREATE ALL THINGS?” But for now, I want you to see that another way to interpret this verse is that Almighty God HIMSELF created all things BY, or THROUGH His SPOKEN WORD and that all creation was created FOR or FOR the SAKE OF his Son Jesus.

Now, I myself see God's WORD as being part of himself and NOT a SEPARATE Spirit being that was beside or with Almighty God as a SECOND PERSON or a second divine Spirit being. But if you do not agree with my interpretation and you see the WORD as a SEPARATE Spirit being, then you still have to admit that this passage of Scripture only speaks of TWO and NOT THREE persons of a so-called “TRINITY” Godhead.

I know that the King James Version as well as some other translations of the Bible TRANSLATE John 1:1 to say that the Word WAS GOD, but the reader must keep in mind that they are reading a TRANSLATION and not the actual original language. In truth John 1:1 says that the word or the “LOGOS” was a “THEOS”, which also means a “god” and not THE ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God, who alone is the FATHER. Also, the LITERAL translation says the SAYING was in [a] beginning.

John 1:1 from a LITERAL translation.

“In beginning was the SAYING and the SAYING was TOWARD THE God and God was the SAYING.

2. This (Or the same or the saying) in beginning was TOWARD THE God.

3. All through the same (The ALL is referring to the all of whosoever believe in Jesus, the word made flesh, to be saved are not saved apart from Jesus. Or without Jesus, not one became a new creation that became a new creation. And the SAME refers to the SAYING the word that became flesh. To say this another way, All the new creatures THROUGH or because of the word made flesh) became, (Or came to be created in Jesus Christ, the word made flesh) and apart from SAME (Or apart from SAYING, the word of prophecy made flesh) became not yet one which became.

4. IN SAME (Or IN the SAYING or IN the WORD, or IN the LOGOS, or IN the LIVING word OF God which God speaks forth out from His mouth) life was, and he life was the light of the humans.” 

Meaning that the word made flesh was the light. Also, the Greek word translated as the word “TOWARD” carries the meaning relating to the DESTINATION to which God directs. For example, the word will not return void, but the word will do that which it was sent to do. The Bible teaches us that God hastens to PERFORM his word. In other words, whatever Almighty God the Father THOUGHT or PLANNED to be in His mind within Himself, then the LOGOS or the SPOKEN word proceeded forth out from God’s MOUTH TOWARD that DESTINATION to be FULFILLED. So the word that was WITH God literally means that the SPOKEN word of prophecy that prceeded forth out from the mouth of God was TOWARD the distination of the FULFILLED spoken word of God becoming “A” God who would rule FOR Yahweh for 1000 years. Verse 4 teaches us that IN the word or IN the saying or IN the audible spoken word of God is LIFE or a quickening to bring forth life. Please read the study “JOHN 1:1 THE WORD WAS GOD!” for a more in-depth study on John 1:1. But for now, another meaning of the literal Greek can also read that what God was the WORD was, as in, the WORD agreed with what Almighty God was THINKING and then the WORD was MADE or BECAME the IMAGE of what God was or what God was in his THOUGHTS. And without God speaking forth His word declaring the end from the beginning then nothing would have come to be that came to be.

This interpretation AGREES with Exodus 3:14, where Almighty God said I AM THAT I AM, which literally means I SHALL BE WHAT OR WHO I AM BECOMING. Please read all the studies under the heading >>>WHY ARE WERE HERR?-IS GOD AT WAR?<<< Those studies will help you understand the beginning of creation in Genesis chapter 1 took place nearly 6,000 year ago and NOT in eternity past. You will also learn why God ALLOWS evil to exist and why Jesus was made lower and inferior than the angels during the days of his flesh from his virgin birth to the cross. But for now, here are some more attributes of the Holy Spirit that do NOT support the INTERPRETATION that the Holy Spirit is just a mere FORCE or POWER. In other words, these following verses clearly teach us that the Holy Spirit possesses attributes of a MIND of an INTELLIGENT being who has the ability to teach, to remember, to guide and lead, to convict of sin, to reason, to have compassion, to love and who can be grieved, and even BLASPHEMED.

1 Corinthians 2:9-13.

“But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.

10. But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit SEARCHES all things, yea, the deep things of God. (Here we see that the Holy Spirit SEARCHES the deep knowledge of Almighty God the Father, which clearly teaches us that the Holy Spirit possesses intelligence and reasoning)

11. For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so, the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God. (Here we see the Spirit has the KNOWLEDGE that Almighty God himself possesses)

12. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost TEACHES; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”

And here in verse 13, we see that the Holy Spirit TEACHES us the knowledge of Almighty God. These verses teach us that the Holy Spirit knows everything about Almighty God Father who then TEACHES us the things of God that are freely GIVEN for us to know and receive. In other words, God communes or communicates to us through his INDWELLING presence IN us. Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, that all characteristics of the Holy Spirit would NOT be present if so be that the Holy Spirit is just a mere impersonal force or power. 

Here is a list of things about the Holy Spirit to show that he is a person rather than a mere impersonal force or power as some falsely teach. Some of these verses we have already discussed but many of them we have not. I will leave it to you to look the verses up for yourself.

#1. The Holy Spirit has a mind (see Romans 8:27).

#2. The Holy Spirit helped to settle questions during the Church Council at Jerusalem (see Acts 15:28).

#3. The Holy Spirit dispenses gifts to different individuals according as He wills (see 1 Corinthians 12:8-11).

#4. The Holy Spirit forbade some from going to preach in certain places (see Acts 16:6-7).

#5. The Holy Spirit anointed Jesus and sent Him out to preach the gospel (see Luke 4:18-19).

#6. The Holy Spirit testifies or witnesses of Jesus (see John 15:26).

#7. The Holy Spirit leads God’s people (see Romans 8:14).

#8. The Holy Spirit teaches and causes us to remember the truth (John 14:26).

#9. The Holy Spirit comforts us as does Christ (John 14:16).

#10. The Holy Spirit strives with us (see Genesis 6:3).

#11. The Holy Spirit reproves us of sin, righteousness, and judgment (see John 16:8-11).

#12. The Holy Spirit instructs us (see Nehemiah 9:20).

#13. The Holy Spirit speaks, guides, hears and shows (John 16:13-15).

#14. The Holy Spirit speaks, chooses, calls and sends forth (see Acts 13:1-4).

#15. The Holy Spirit gives messages to prophets and they declare: “Thus saith the Holy Ghost” (see Acts 21:11).

#16. The Holy Spirit has knowledge, and searches all things (see 1 Corinthians 2:10-11).

#17. The Holy Spirit sanctifies us (see Romans 15:16).

#18. The Holy Spirit holds communion with us (see 2 Corinthians 13:14); and so does Christ (see 1 Corinthians 1:9).

#19. The Holy Spirit is the source of regeneration and renewal for salvation (see John 3:5-8; Titus 3:5).

#20. The Holy Spirit resurrects the faithful from the dead (see Romans 8:11; 1 Peter 3:18).

#21. The Holy Spirit is the author of the Bible and moved upon the prophets to speak (see 2 Peter 1:21).

#22. The Holy Spirit is another Comforter other than Jesus Christ (see John 14:16).

#23. The Holy Spirit helps our infirmities (see Romans 8:26).

#24. The Holy Spirit can be tempted and lied to (see Acts 5:3, 9).

#25. The Holy Spirit can be blasphemed and sinned against (see Mark 3:28-29; Luke 12:10; Matthew 12:31).

#26. The Holy Spirit is another Intercessor other than Jesus Christ (see Romans 8:26).

#27. The Spirit intercedes for us to help us pray as we ought to pray. (see Romans 8:26 as well).

#28. The Holy Spirit is called the ETERNAL SPIRIT in Hebrews 5:9.

And Almighty God the FATHER, who is ONE and the SELF SAME BEING as the ETERNAL SPIRIT is said to be the ONLY ONE who has always possessed IMMORTALITY in 1 Timothy 6:14-16. So while there SEEMS to be TWO separate SPIRITS the Bible clearly teaches us that there is ONLY ONE SPIRIT and the ONE TRUE ETERNAL SPIRIT IS ALMIGHTY God the Father HIMSELF who ALONE has IMMORTALITY.  

Therefore, I myself must conclude that there are ONLY TWO that the word of TRUTH teaches us that we must believe in to be saved in order to obtain eternal life in the world to come. And these TWO are Almighty God the Father the eternal SPIRIT and his Son Jesus, the CHRIST, or the ANOINTED one of HIS God and Father the ONE TRUE and ONLY ALMIGHTY God. Now again there may SEEM to be THREE separate persons, but in TRUTH there are ONLY TWO rather than THREE as the doctrine of the Trinity falsely teaches.

Now there may be some who still want to argue and dogmatically insist that God is a TRINITY who will say what about the three verses that say that Jesus himself IS the HOLY SPIRIT.

The first time that I had ever heard this argument to try and prove that God is a TRINITY I have to admit that I did not know what these three verses were saying, but I knew that in the light of the WHOLE word of God that they were NOT saying that Jesus himself IS the HOLY SPIRIT. Here are the only three verses that I myself am aware that even remotely could be INTERPRETED to mean that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one and the self-same being, which would consequently make Jesus to BE the FATHER as well and therefore would CONTRADICT the doctrine of the Trinity that plainly states that Jesus is NOT the Father and that Jesus is NOT the Holy Spirit. But I suppose in their zeal to support the man-made doctrine of the Trinity they overlooked the contradiction that would be caused in their own doctrine if Jesus were to truly be proven to BE the HOLY SPIRIT.

Please read Romans 8:9.

“But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells IN you. Now if any man has NOT the Spirit OF Christ, he is none of his.” 

Now while this verse may SEEM to be saying that the eternal Holy Spirit IS Jesus or the Holy Spirit BELONGS to Jesus, it is NOT saying either of these things. The truth of the matter is the word “CHRIST” also means the ANOINTING. In other words, if any man does NOT have the INDWELLING ANOINTING of the Holy Spirit then he or she is not a true born again Christian. To say this another way, if any person does NOT have the SAME anointing of the Holy Spirit who DWELT IN Jesus then they are none of his. The phrase Spirit of Christ simply means the Spirit who dwelt IN Jesus and that any person who does NOT have the same Spirit who dwelt in Jesus are none of his meaning that they are not true born again Christians.

The next verse in question is found in 1 Peter 1:11 which is also talking about the same Holy Spirit that was upon the prophet, Jesus, was also on the prophets of the Old Testament.

1 Peter 1:11.

“Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit OF Christ which was in (Or upon) them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow.”

So again, this verse is speaking of the SAME Holy Spirit that ANOINTED Jesus to speak to us seeing that there is just ONE eternal Holy Spirit ALSO spoke to the prophets in the Old Testament. Now to those who teach the doctrine of the Trinity, if so be that they FORCE this verse to mean that Jesus IS the Holy Spirit, then they CONTRADICT their OWN man-made doctrine that plainly states that Jesus is NOT the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is NOT Jesus the SON OF God. In other words, the Spirit OF Christ does NOT mean that the Spirit belongs to Jesus. For you see, Jesus was GIVEN the Holy Spirit to dwell IN him the same as we, as Christians, are given the Holy Spirit to dwell in us.

The third verse in question is found in  Philippians 1:19.

Philippians 1:19.

“For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit OF Jesus Christ,”

Now, while this verse does include the name “Jesus” it still yet includes the TITLE of “CHRIST” showing us that the SPIRIT OF Jesus is speaking of the ANOINTING OF Jesus and NOT that Jesus himself IS the HOLY SPIRIT himself. Only those who teach the false doctrine of ONENESS or MODALISM that dogmatically demand that Jesus IS the FATHER Himself would try and use the twisted INTERPRETATIONS of these three verses. For you see, any logical thinking Trinitarian would readily see that if they force these verses to mean that Jesus IS the Holy Spirit Himself then they would CONTRADICT their own doctrine of the Trinity which clearly states that Jesus is NOT the Holy Spirit. The truth of the matter is that the now highly exalted glorified Son of MAN, Jesus has been GIVEN the FULNESS of the Godhead to dwell in him BODILY as the express IMAGE OF Yahweh the Father.
