SPELLING EDITED M-9. WHAT DOES ROMANS 8:26 TRULY MEAN? Lets us read Romans 8:26 first by taking it OUT of its CONTEXT and then we will read it left in its context in a moment. Romans 8:26. “Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Now, some Christians interpret this verse to mean that SINCE the Holy Spirit is our INTERCESSOR, and Jesus is our INTERCESSOR, and the Bible teaches that there is only ONE INTERCESSOR, then the Holy Spirit IS Jesus. In other words, some Christians conclude that Jesus pre-existed AS the Holy Spirit who was named the Word that was WITH God in the beginning and was God. These Christians are NOT Trinitarian Christians. Rather, they believe in only TWO divine persons that have always been SEPARATE persons in eternity past who worked TOGETHER to create all things. They teach that the Holy Spirit was the angel of the Lord, as in, a MANIFESTATION of the Holy Spirit. And in the same way, Jesus is a MANIFESTATION of the Holy Spirit. In other words, they believe that the Holy Spirit is the PRE-INCARNATE Jesus. To say this another way, they believe that Jesus PRE-EXISTED AS the Holy Spirit who was WITH God at his side in eternity past. And thus, to THEM, they believe that the Holy Spirit was a COUNSELOR who counseled the Father in creating all things. These Christians will quote from the Shepherd of Hermas and the book of Enoch to TRY and support what they believe and teach. They use early church writings to try and show that the early church treated these two books as Scripture. I am not opposed to quoting extra-Biblical sources IF they AGREE with the 66 books of the Holy Bible. However, I am very much opposed to the FALSE teaching that does NOT agree with the 66 books of the Holy Bible. So then, what does the Bible itself teach us concerning the Holy Spirit being an INTERCESSOR? And what does the Bible itself teach about Jesus being an INTERCESSOR? And what does the Bible itself teach about there being just ONE INTERCESSOR? And what is the TRUE meaning of Romans 8:23-28? We already read Romans 8:26 where the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us. So now let us read the verses where Jesus makes intercession for us. Please read Isaiah 53:12. “Therefore. will I (Yahweh) divide him (Speaking of Yahweh’s Son, Jesus) a portion with the great, and he (Jesus) shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he (Jesus) has poured out his soul unto death: and he (Jesus) was numbered with the transgressors, and he (Jesus) bears the sin of many, and (Jesus) made INTERCESSION for the transgressors.” Jesus made INTERCESSION for us by his ONCE and for all, time ONE sacrifice, of his laying down his life on the cross FOR our SINS. And the Bible also teaches us that Jesus is our high priest who lives forever to continually make intercession for the SAINTS. Please read Hebrews 7:24,25. “But this man, because he continues ever, (Or because Jesus is now the eternal Son of God who will never die) has an unchangeable priesthood. 25. Wherefore he is able also to save THEM to the uttermost that COME UNTO God by him, seeing he ever lives to make INTERCESSION for THEM (Speaking of Jesus being the CONTINUING intercessor for ONLY truly born-again Christians).” What I mean by this, is that Jesus died on the cross for ALL of mankind to PROVIDE a WAY of saving ONLY those of mankind who BELIEVE in him as their Messiah. In other words, no FAITH, no salvation even though Jesus died for ALL of mankind. And the same thing is true concerning Jesus being the continuing intercessor for all of those who COME to God by their faith IN Jesus. In other words, when Christians sin, then they must repent and CONFESS their sins in order to be forgiven of their sins. And thus, if Christians do NOT repent of their sins and they do NOT CONFESS their sin, then even though Jesus is standing ready to be their lawyer, he can do nothing to intercede for them UNTIL they repent and confess their sins. Now, those who teach that Jesus pre-existed as the Holy Spirit use Jesus as being our ADVOCATE to be the SAME as saying that Jesus is our INTERCESSOR. And then they use the word advocate to mean the same as Jesus being our MEDIATOR. And that is how they arrive at the conclusion of there being only ONE INTERCESSOR through seeing that Jesus is our ONE MEDIATOR. Please read 1 Timothy 2:5 out of its CONTEXT first. “For there is one God, and ONE MEDIATOR between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” Now, their line of reason is that a lawyer or an ADVOCATE MEDIATES for a person. And since Jesus is our ONE MEDIATOR then he is our ONE ADVOCATE. This may be a true statement but the reasoning is flawed. You see dear children of God, the CONTEXT of Jesus being our ADVOCATE is the Christians CONFESSING their sins AFTER they have already come to God. Please read 1 John 1:9,10 through 1 John 2:1. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10. If we say that we have not sinned, (Meaning that if we excuse our being convicted of sin by saying that it is NOT a sin) we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 11. My little children, these things write I unto you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an ADVOCATE (Or a go-between, a mediator, a lawyer) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” So while the word advocate does indeed mean a mediator, the CONTEXT is speaking of Christians CONFESSING their sins and God always being faithful to forgive us of all our sin and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. And the CONTEXT of Jesus being our ONE mediator is speaking of Jesus being the ONE sacrifice that Jesus made to the ONE and only COVENANT that God accepts. Please read the following verses that teach us that Jesus is the mediator of the NEW COVENANT. Hebrews 8:6. “But now has he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the MEDIATOR of a BETTER COVENANT, which was established upon better promises.” Hebrews 9:14,15. “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who THROUGH the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot TO God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15. And for THIS CAUSE he is the MEDIATOR of the NEW TESTAMENT, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.” Did you notice that Jesus overcame sin THROUGH the power of the Holy Spirit? So to me, it does not seem logical that Jesus is one and the self-same being as the ONE being of the Holy Spirit who IS the FATHER. Now let us read the CONTEXT of Jesus being the ONE mediator. Please read 1 Timothy 1:4-6. “Who will have all men to be SAVED, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6. WHO GAVE himself a RANSOM for ALL, to be testified in due time.” In other words, Jesus died on the cross to ESTABLISH the NEW COVENANT to be the ONE and ONLY Covenant that God will accept. So then, Jesus being the mediator of the NEW TESTAMENT by his ONCE and for all time ONE sacrifice for the sins of the world is HOW Jesus is the ONE MEDIATOR between God and mankind. And then AFTER a person COMES TO God by their faith IN Jesus as the atonement for their sins, THEN Jesus became their CONTINUING intercessor and advocate to forgive their sins IF they CONFESS their sins. Therefore, we cannot use the line of reason that since there is but ONE INTERCESSOR and both the Holy Spirit and Jesus are said to be an INTERCESSOR then this proves that Jesus IS the Holy Spirit. Even the very CONTEXT of Romans 8:26 says that Jesus ALSO makes INTERCESSION for us. And you can NOT have the word ALSO, if so be, that the Holy Spirit and Jesus are one and the self-same being. Please read Romans 8:34 first and then we will read the whole CONTEXT of Romans 8:26 to learn the TRUE sound Biblical meaning of this passage of Scripture where the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us. Keep in mind that those who teach that Jesus pre-existed as the Holy Spirit cannot see or comprehend HOW there can only be ONE eternal Spirit when the Holy Spirit is said to be an INTERCESSOR between Christians and Almighty Yahweh the Father. In other words, many Christians, including myself, believe that Almighty God the Father and the Holy Spirit are ONE and the SELF-SAME being who is also called the ETERNAL Spirit. And thus these other Christians that believe Jesus is the Holy Spirit cannot see how one being can be an intercessor between men and himself. Logically, you need THREE separate parties or three persons for there to be an intercessor BETWEEN to different parties or persons. Therefore, in their minds, they must have that Holy Spirit be a separate person from Almighty God the Father. Stay with me and the word of God will interpret itself for you. And then you will see the TRUE meaning of this passage of Scripture. You will see that the Holy Spirit is NOT doing the praying FOR us, but rather the Holy Spirit HELPS US to make intercession by him GIVING us the UTTERANCES in other tongues. I am getting ahead of myself, so I will slow down and take one verse at a time. Please read Romans 8:34. “Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who ALSO makes INTERCESSION FOR us.” So then, HOW does Jesus make INTERCESSION FOR us? Did Jesus' death on the cross AUTOMATICALLY save every human being? NO! Absolutely NOT! Are we as Christians AUTOMATICALLY forgiven of our sins WITHOUT ever CONFESSING our sins? NO! Absolutely NOT! Do you remember when Jesus said he would pray to the father and he would send us ANOTHER COMFORTER? Please read John 14:16 “And I will pray to the Father, and he shall give you ANOTHER Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;” This means that Jesus was the FIRST Comforter and the Holy Spirit is ANOTHER Comforter who is NOT Jesus. Jesus did NOT say that he was going to the Father and be manifested back into the Holy Spirit to return as another comforter. This kind of logic comes from the Oneness Christians, where the one God manifests himself in different forms or modes. So to Oneness Christians, Jesus is not truly a separate person from God. Remember that Jesus prayed TO the Father to send ANOTHER comforter. One of the meanings of the Greek word “Parakletos” means INTERCESSOR, consoler, and ADVOCATE. So then, Jesus is saying that the Father will send us ANOTHER INTERCESSOR because Jesus is going to the Father. I think that we can safely conclude that Jesus HELPED the disciples understood who the Father is, seeing that he came to SHOW us the Father. So, we can say that Jesus is the FIRST HELPER and the Holy Spirit is ANOTHER HELPER. Jesus said that he had much more to say to his disciples that they could not bear just yet. So, he told them that he would teach them THROUGH the Holy Spirit, who would dwell in them. Please read John 16:12-15. “I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them NOW. 13. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall HEAR, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14. He shall glorify ME: for he shall receive of MINE, and shall show it unto you. 15. All things that the Father has are mine: THEREFORE said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.” Now please read Acts 1:1,2. “The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus BEGAN both to do and TEACH, 2. UNTIL the day in which he was taken up (Or until Jesus ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father), AFTER THAT he (Speaking of Jesus) THROUGH the Holy Ghost had given commandments (Or instructions and authoritative teachings) unto the apostles whom he had chosen:” So then, Jesus is clearly a SEPARATE person from the Holy Spirit. And we also know that Jesus is NOT the Father. So all I am asking those of you who are Christians that sincerely believe and teach that Jesus IS the Holy Spirit to do is to truly consider HOW the Holy Spirit makes intercession FOR us as Romans 8:23-34 teaches us. Now let us read the CONTEXT of Romans 8:26 to learn what this passage of Scripture means in the light of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. Please read Romans 8:23-34. “And not only they but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, (Meaning that we as believers have a portion, as in, an earnest of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us as a DOWN PAYMENT of a sort.) even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24. For we are saved by hope: (Speaking of receiving the end of our salvation which the redemption of our bodies. The Greek word here that is translated as hope also means FAITH, as in, having full expectancy) but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man has seen, why does he yet hope for? 25. But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. (In other words, we do not YET have our new glorified immortal bodies and we groan within ourselves waiting patiently for the day of the redemption of our bodies) 26. Likewise (Or in the same manner that we have this strong groaning desire within ourselves to receive the end of our salvation) the Spirit also HELPS our infirmities (Speaking of the Holy Spirit HELPING our weakness in our prayers to God): for (Or BECAUSE when) we KNOW NOT what we SHOULD PRAY AS WE OUGHT (To PRAY): but the Spirit itself makes intercession FOR us WITH groanings which cannot be uttered. (Or which cannot be uttered in an articulate speech. In other words, the Holy Spirit HELPS US to PRAY to God as we OUGHT to PRAY by him GIVING US the UTTERANCES in OTHER TONGUES for us to do the PRAYING TO God ourselves AS the Holy Spirit GIVES us the right words to PRAY as WE OUGHT to pray. The Holy Spirit is NOT praying FOR us. Rather the Holy Spirit gives us the utterance to pray in other tongues and then WE do the INTERCESSORY PRAYING TO God. To say this another way, The FATHER HELPS us to get our prayers answered by way of him GIVING us the right words to pray to be THROUGH an EARNEST of his own Holy Spirit who is dwelling IN us. KEEP reading and you will see that Jesus ALSO makes intercession FOR us.) 27. And he (Speaking of the ONE eternal Spirit) that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit (This word Spirit should have been translated as spirit speaking of OUR heart and our spirit and NOT as Spirit that misleads Christian to wrongly think that this word is referring to the Holy Spirit) because he (Speaking of the ONE eternal Spirit) makes intercession FOR the saints according to the will of God. (The reason that the Holy Spirit searches OUR spirit is to know what our heart's DESIRE is that we want from Almighty God the Father. I mean why would God need to search his own heart and Spirit to know his own will? In other words, this verse is saying that the Holy Spirit searches our heart which is our spirit. And the reason that the Holy Spirit searches our spirit is so that HE can make intercession FOR us BY giving us the RIGHT words to speak according to the WILL of the eternal Spirit) 28. And we know that all things (Speaking of all these works of the ONE eternal Holy Spirit searching our hearts to know what we want in the mind of our spirit so that he can GIVE us the right words to pray to the Father in other tongues) work together for good to them that love God, (The ONE eternal Spirit) to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Let me take a moment here to quote Acts 2:4. “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, AS the Spirit GAVE them utterance.” Can you not see that it is we who are filled with the Holy Spirit, are the ones that actually do the praying in other tongues AS the Holy Spirit is GIVING us the WORDS to pray or to make INTERCESSION? The Holy Spirit is our HELPER. He HELPS us to make intercession to God according to the WILL of God. The Holy Spirit GIVES those GROANINGS to us and then WE do the praying AS the Holy Spirit continues to keep on giving the UTTERANCES TO us. And when the Holy Spirit stops GIVING us the words in unknown tongues then WE stop making intercession to God by praying IN the Holy Spirit.) 29. For whom he (The eternal Spirit) did foreknow, he (The eternal Spirit) also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his (The eternal Spirit’s) Son, that he (Speaking of the Son of MAN Jesus) might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30. Moreover whom he (The eternal Spirit) did predestinate, them he (The eternal Spirit) also called: and whom he (The eternal Spirit) called, them he (The eternal Spirit) also justified: and whom he (The eternal Spirit) justified, them he (The eternal Spirit) also glorified. 31. What shall we then say to these things? If God (The eternal Spirit) be for us, who can be against us? 32. He (The eternal Spirit) that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he (The eternal Spirit) not with him also freely give us all things? 33. Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's (The eternal Spirit’s) elect? It is God (The eternal Spirit) that justifies. 34. Who is he that condemns? It is Christ (Speaking of the ANOINTED Son of MAN Jesus) that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who ALSO makes intercession for us.” Again, there can NOT be the word “ALSO”, if so be that Jesus IS the Holy Spirit. The truth of the matter is that the Father is HELPING us to be saved. Yahweh the Father provides the WAY of salvation to be by FAITH IN his Son. He DRAWS us by his own Holy Spirit. The Father gives us an EARNEST of his own Holy Spirit to dwell IN us. He teaches us THROUGH his OWN Holy Spirit dwelling in us. AND the Father HELPS us to pray CORRECTLY through his OWN Holy Spirit dwelling in us in order to be GIVING us the right words for us to pray in unknown tongues. Please understand that the Holy Spirit also gives us the right words to pray, and or preach in our own language as well. This is what is called being under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Father GAVE his HUMAN Son to die on the cross to make INTERCESSION FOR us. But in TRUTH, the sacrifice Jesus made is worthless UNLESS a person BELIEVES in the sacrifice Jesus made. Jesus being our MEDIATOR is worthless when we sin IF WE do NOT CONFESS our sin. Likewise, the Holy Spirit making intercession for us is WORTHLESS IF we do NOT PRAY the words that the Holy Spirit GIVES to us to pray to God. Jesus said that he would continue to teach his disciples THROUGH the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that the FATHER dwelt in him. But nowhere does the Bible say that BOTH the Father AND the Holy Spirit dwelt in Jesus meaning that TWO DIFFERENT Spirit beings dwelt in Jesus. There is but ONE Spirit. Please read Ephesians 4:4-6. “There is one body, (Speaking of the one body of Jesus Christ being the one true church) and ONE Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; 5. One Lord, (Speaking of Jesus who came OUT FROM the ONE eternal Spirit Yahweh to become the Son of MAN first. And then the Son of MAN became the eternal Son of God) one faith, one baptism, 6. One God and Father of all, (Speaking of Almighty God Yahweh the ONE eternal Spirit) who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Now read 1 Corinthians 12:11-13. “But all these works that ONE and the SELF-SAME Spirit,(Speaking of the ONE eternal Spirit, Yahweh’s very own Holy Spirit, whom he has GIVEN as an EARNEST or taste of his very own divine nature) dividing to every man severally as he will. 12. For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. (Speaking of the ONE body of BELIEVERS IN Jesus Christ, the church of the firstborn) 13. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” Now those Christians, who teach that Jesus IS the Holy Spirit, will use 1 Corinthians 6:17 out of context to try and prove that Jesus is the ONE SPIRIT. 1 Corinthians 6:17. “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” The King James Version correctly uses the lower case “s” to show that the word “spirit” is NOT the one eternal Holy Spirit with a capital “S”. This verse is saying that we, as believers in our one Lord Jesus Christ, are a part of the BODY of Jesus Christ are one in the spirit of unity. They also use Ephesians 2:18 to try and prove that the Holy Spirit is NOT the Father. They argue how can the ONE Spirit BE the Father seeing that this verse says that we have access UNTO the Father by way OF the ONE Spirit. And then they use all the verses where Jesus is the ONLY WAY to the Father. And, therefore, they conclude that Jesus IS the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 2:18. “For through him (Speaking of Jesus) we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.” They FORGET the verses that we just read in 1 Corinthians 12:11-13 that teach us that we are BAPTIZED into the one body of Jesus Christ by or WITH, or IN the ONE Spirit by our drinking of the ONE Spirit. This means that THROUGH Jesus it is made possible for anyone to become a true born-again CHILD of God in order that the Holy Spirit can come and DWELL in you. And by the Holy Spirit dwelling IN you, you now have direct access to the Father. This is something that you did NOT have before you became a true born-again child of Almighty God. The Bible teaches us in Hebrews 9:14 that the one Spirit is the ETERNAL Spirit which means that the one Spirit has always possessed immortality in himself. Please read Hebrews 9:14 again. “How much more shall the blood of Christ (Speaking of the ANOINTED Son of MAN, Jesus), who THROUGH the ETERNAL Spirit offered himself without spot to God,(In other words, the ANOINTED Son of MAN, who was anointed BY Almighty God, the Father, with the Holy Spirit, overcame sin and offered himself up to his God and Father without sin THROUGH the power of the Holy ETERNAL Spirit dwelling IN him. We know from John 4:24 that Almighty God, the Father, IS a SPIRIT. And we know from 1 Timothy 6:13-16 that Almighty God, the Father, IS ETERNAL. And we know from John 17:11 that Almighty God, the Father, is Holy. And we know from John 17:1-3 that Almighty God, the Father, IS the ONLY TRUE God. But the main point that I want you to see right now is that it was THROUGH the ETERNAL SPIRIT that Jesus offered himself up to the Father who IS the ETERNAL SPIRIT) purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Please read 2 Corinthians 5:18,19. “And all things (Or more specifically THE ALL speaking of THE ALL of whosoever BELIEVES in Jesus) are OF God, WHO (Speaking of Almighty God the ETERNAL Spirit) has reconciled us TO HIMSELF by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19. To wit, that God (The ETERNAL Spirit) was IN Christ, reconciling the world unto HIMSELF, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” Now, we can know with absolute certainty that ONLY Almighty God IS the ONE Spirit who ALONE has always been the ETERNAL Spirit by simply reading 1 Timothy 6:13-14, which clearly teaches us that ONLY the INVISIBLE God has always possessed immortality in himself. And this means that it is IMPOSSIBLE for there to have been TWO ETERNAL Spirits in eternity past as these Christians CLAIM by quoting the Shepherd of Hermas and the book of Enoch. You have to remember that there were many Christian writings that were written by GNOSTIC Christians and those that had Pagan roots. Surely you understand that just because a book that is written today BY a Christian does not always mean that the book is SOUND BIBLICAL teaching. Again, 1 Timothy 6:13-16 makes it blatantly clear that the one true invisible God was the ONLY ONE being who had eternal life without ever being GIVEN that immortality from some other God. 1 Timothy 6:13-16. “I give you charge in the sight of God, who quickens all things (Or more precisely who quickens THE ALL, speaking of THE ALL of whosoever believes IN Jesus as the atonement for their sins), AND before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 14. That you keep THIS commandment (Or THIS TEACHING) without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: 15. Which in his times (Speaking of the first and second comings of Jesus) he (Jesus) shall show, WHO IS the blessed and ONLY Potentate, (Meaning the ONLY Sovereign Almighty God who ALONE is the FATHER) the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16. WHO ONLY has IMMORTALITY, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen.” Almighty God Yahweh alone and by himself is the source of all life. Yahweh alone is that ONLY being who has always possessed IMMORTALITY in himself. Jesus came to show us the FATHER. And John teaches us that it was the FATHER dwelling IN the Son of MAN, Jesus, who was the one doing the WORKS. The WHOLE word of God teaches us that the eternal Holy Spirit IS the FATHER. Please read the in-depth study called “THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE FATHER!” But for now, I want to ask those of you who sincerely believe that Jesus IS the Holy Spirit if you have ever considered the words of Jesus when he said that men could blaspheme the Son but whosoever blasphemes the HOLY SPIRIT is in danger of hellfire? So WHERE is the FATHER? WHY did Jesus not mention the FATHER? Is not the Father important to Jesus? Can we blaspheme the FATHER and it will be perfectly alright? OR is the Father the ETERNAL SPIRIT? Let us read the words of Jesus where he warns us not to blaspheme the Holy Spirit but says nothing about the Father. Please read Mathew 12:31,32. “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32. And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” Again, WHERE is the FATHER who is SPIRIT? If so be that there were THREE, then WHY did Jesus not mention the Father? Surely it is a sin the Blaspheme Almighty God the Father. Yet Jesus did not mention the Father in these verses. So then, did Jesus know that the INVISIBLE ETERNAL SPIRIT IS the Father? And that is WHY Jesus ONLY mentioned TWO persons, himself and the Holy Spirit? Why did Jesus say that the FATHER dwelt IN him if so be that the Father is NOT the eternal Holy Spirit? Again, BEWARE of any book that is NOT one of the 66 books of the Bible. There were MANY FALSE teachers even in the days of the Apostles. So, just because Hermas claims he had a vision or dream from the Shepherd, does not mean that he CORRECTLY understood those dreams and visions. And it MAY be that those dreams and visions were NOT OF God? The Bible warns us to TRY the spirits to see if they are of God. The Bible also says that Satan can transform himself into an angel of light. I personally believe that it was Satan disguising himself as the angel Gabriel who appeared to Muhammad. The Quran also wrongly teaches that the Holy Spirit is the angel of the Lord in the Old Testament in Sura 16:102 where Gabriel is called the Holy Spirit. There are many Christians today having dreams and visions that the PRE-tribulation rapture will happen on certain dates. So, should we believe those dreams and visions when we KNOW directly from the BIBLE itself that the PRE-tribulation rapture teaching is FALSE teaching? Be NOT deceived my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, by the teachings of anyone, who use EXTRA-BIBLICAL sources, when their teachings do NOT AGREE with the WHOLE word of Almighty God written in the 66 books of the Holy Bible.
