SPELLING EDITED J-29. GEMATRIA AND THE NUMBER 666!
Here is something that I came across and I found it rather interesting. And I thought you, my readers, will find it interesting as well. If you are not familiar with the word “GEMATRIA” it is simply adding the values of individual letters of the Hebrew or Greek alphabet in words. You see both the Hebrew and Greek letters are assigned numerical values so that the letters also represent numbers. In other words, there are NO separate characters used as numbers in either Greek or Hebrew like we have in English. In both Hebrew and Greek, the alphabet or the letters are ALSO their NUMBERS. Below are two charts that show the numeric value of each Hebrew letter and each Greek letter.

Many Bible scholars have used Gematria to calculate the name or number of the BEAST in Revelation chapter 13 which many believe is the number six hundred and sixty-six.
Here is what Revelation 13:18 says.
“Here is WISDOM. Let him that has understanding COUNT the number of the beast: for it is the NUMBER of a man, and his NUMBER is Six hundred threescore and six.”
Now, the reason that the WISE man of UNDERSTANDING is to count the number of this man is so that we will NOT be DECEIVED by this man and his antichrist system to take the MARK of this BEAST. We read more about this beast in the previous verses Revelation 13:11-17. And according to the revived Roman Empire interpretation of prophecy, verse 18 teaches us that this FALSE prophet will deceive many people who are unaware. And to them, he will appear to be Jesus Christ the LAMB of God. But this man will speak with DECEPTION as does Satan, the DRAGON. But, I myself, believe that the MARK of the beast is ISLAM and NOT a one-world government of the revived Roman Empire.
Revelation 13:11-18.
“And I beheld ANOTHER beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a LAMB, AND he spoke as a DRAGON. 12. And he exercises all the power of the FIRST beast before him and causes the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. (In other words, the second beast IS the IMAGE OF the first beast which at first was like a LAMB but later became a DRAGON like the FIRST beast. Or the two horns could represent the peaceful Muslims and the radical Muslims. To me, I am seeing the Mark of the beast as being the religion of Islam which came in PEACEABLY at first like a LAMB claiming to be a religion of PEACE. And then, Islam began to speak like a DRAGON with a small number of radical Muslims which is now causing all the LAND in the Middle East to become formed to the IMAGE of the FIRST beast to take up the SWORD to force people to be converted to Islam in that ONE-FOURTH part of the world.) 13. And he does great wonders so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14. And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had the power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to THEM that dwell on the earth (Or saying to THEM that dwell on the LAND), that THEY should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (The Greek word that is translated as “make” carries the meaning of to agree to band together to BE the IMAGE OF the FIRST beast empire which history teaches us to be the Islamic Muslim Ottoman Empire) 15. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. (Or he had the power to stir up and energize THEM that dwell in the LAND of the Middle East to become LIKE the IMAGE of the first beast to make war for Allah. And those who do not convert to worship Allah will be killed) 16. And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark (Or a badge of servitude to their god Allah) in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17. And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (In other words, when the mark of the beast is ENFORCED in the Muslim dominated countries in the Middle East then no person will be able to own a business to buy or sell anything unless they convert to Islam to be NUMBERED among the worshiper of their god Allah, the DRAGON. Also, even right now in Muslim dominated regions, NON-Muslims are not allowed to buy or sell anything IN those all Muslim communities. Non-Muslims are NOT welcomed in those all Muslim communities) 18. Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man, and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”
Now, Revelation 13:8 has two interpretations. The revived Roman Empire interpretation is that Greek word translated as “number” literally means the numerical number 666. And the Christians who believe that the mark of the beast is Islam interpret the Greek word that is translated as “number” to mean the MULTITUDE of the beast for it is the MULTITUDE of men and the MULTITUDE is these THREE SYMBOLS which look like Greek letters but they are actually the SYMBOLS of Islam. For images of these three SYMBOLS and their MEANING please read the study “COULD ISALM BE THE MARK OF THE BEAST?” So whichever interpretation you choose to believe please know that we are WARNED in Revelation 14:9-12 that WHOSOEVER worships this beast and TAKES his MARK will suffer the WRATH of Almighty God and will NOT inherit ETERNAL LIFE. But rather ALL who receive the MARK of the beast will be cast into the everlasting fire to be destroyed without any hope of redemption forever.
Revelation 14:9-12.
“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If ANY man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10. The SAME shall drink of the wine of the WRATH of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11. And the smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever RECEIVES the MARK of his name. (In other words, the MARK of the beast will be CONNECTED to the worshipping a false god. And to ME, the mark of his NAME is the false god Allah of Islam) 12. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
In other words, do NOT DENY Jesus. KEEP the TRUE faith of Christianity and do NOT take the MARK of the beast by converting to Islam to save your mortal life. Have PATIENCE because God will avenge your death for being faithful to hold fast to your faith in his Son Jesus as your Lord and Savior. So those who have WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING are instructed to count the NUMBER of this man's name which we are told by Christians who teach the revived Roman Empire theory is 666. And those Christians who teach the revived Roman Empire theory claim that the importance of knowing this man by this number cannot be understated because ONLY those who are NOT DECEIVED into taking this number of 666 will be accounted worthy to obtain ETERNAL LIFE in the world to come. And, according to Christians who believe that Islam is the mark of the beast, we interpret Revelation 13:18 that we are to consider the MULTITUDE of the beast. Anyway, some of you may have heard many different points of view on this subject of the MARK of the beast and the number 666 in relation to the Hebrew and Greek alphabet used in gematria. And we will take a look at some gematria in a moment. But for now, let us continue with using gematria with the ENGLISH alphabet. Below is a chart of numerical values being assigned to the English alphabet followed by several calculations that you may find interesting. The idea of the English language as being the most common language in the world today, or in the LAST DAYS it would not surprise me that Almighty God would use gematria in the English language as well as in Hebrew and Greek. Here are some other PATTERNS of the Gematria value of connected words and phrases. Now, I want you to consider the ODDS of all these words and phrases having the SAME numerical value in ANY language. What I mean by connected is that when one word is mentioned then it is associated with another word. For example, when I say the word “GOSPEL” then you think of JESUS. Or when I say the name JESUS you may thing of the CROSS or MESSIAH. Here is yet another pattern of phases associated with Jesus that all total to a specific number being 906.

And phases like THROUGH LOVE, and LOVE IS THE LAW and HEALING PROMISE add up to equal 906. Now, some of you who are familiar with gematria in Hebrew and Greek may remember that the name JESUS, in BOTH Hebrew AND in Greek, has the numerical value of the number 888. Here are some interesting patterns of the number 888 using gematria in the English language. For example, the words ENGLISH GEMATRIA=888, GEMATRIA CODE OF GOD=888, and GOD'S NUMBERING=888.

Again, to me, gematria is fascinating because the odds of these connected patterns occurring even in the English language clearly shows the hand of Almighty God in the affairs of mankind.
